Aloft by Marriott Tempe

I had a wonderful stay while at the Aloft Tempe. The staff was so kind, warm, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. From the staff in the kitchen, to behind the bar, to the front desk, and even the airport shuttle, everything was delightful. I will absolutely be back the next time I fly into Phoenix! I wish there were more options for breakfast that weren't so pricey. Also, an iced coffee option would be nice!

I love this hotel! Dominic and his wonderful Team are awesome :) -- Fabulous gym too, and awesome snacks and drinks and terrific bar -- and very close to ASU and many restaurants and businesses n the area x.

This property was great! We enjoyed the pool and liked that there was a nice selection of snacks and breakfast options. The the room was spacious which was great as my husband had to do some work- he was able to spread out all his computers and papers on the large desk.

Decent distance from ASU - the side with the stadium. My guess is that ASU is the main draw for staying in this location. There are a few restaurants just a few hundred feet away across the street. Really close to the freeway - good access. Pay to park. However, it wasn't that expensive - about $11 for one day. Cost for the room was higher than I'd expect but maybe rates were higher due to graduation happening at ASU? This hotel has a different concept that feels simplified / budget though at the same time being pretty nice and modern & clean. The air conditioner in the room was a bit loud though that didn't bother me (it might bother some ppl) and it may have masked sound from the nearby freeway.

Amazing hotel all around. The staff was great, and having a shuttle to and from the airport was super convenient. There’s a lot to do at the hotel, and it’s in a really good area. I loved the free snacks, drinks, and fruit-infused water in the lobby. The pool area outside is beautiful as well. There are tons of good restaurants nearby, and Scottsdale is only about 20 minutes away. Easily a 10/10 hotel, I’ll be staying here every time I’m in Arizona. It's in a great area! Lastly, the breakfast was great. Lorena, who made our breakfast, is super nice!

We had a great stay, place was nice and staff was very friendly. It was close to a bunch of restaurants and Tempe Park lake. We came for a music festival and this location was perfect.

Really not much of anything. It was very noisy at night but that wasn't their fault. They even gave us some ear plugs for that reason. If anything I think it would have been great to have had a little bit bigger pool and hot tub maybe but that's just ideas. And a microwave in the room would have been great but they did have one downstairs. That's really the only suggestions I can think of.

The staff was absolutely friendly over the top helpful. The rooms were so much better than I expected. Everything was great. They thought of things that I never would have thought they would. They had extras and the airport shuttle being there 24 hours was a lifesaver and they even gave us a lift once somewhere else when we needed it. The concierge was something I had never had and that was wonderful. They were helpful with everything we needed to know there. They held our bags when we first got there so that we could walk around until time to check in. I really just can't find anything bad to say. There was just so much good at that place. Very clean hotel with exceptionally helpful staff. Shuttle to and from the airport. Bar area in lobby, along with games and outdoor seating to relax in the evening before bed. Pool area was clean and a great way to cool off in the heat. Lots of good restaurants close and a close walk to the University.

The hotel was very nice and well kept! It was downtown and right off of the highway so there was quite a bit of road noise. I didn’t realize parking wasn’t included before I got there, but I’m sure I missed that somewhere on the reservation. Overall, I would stay again!

By far the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room was given to me it was for a handicap, even though I clearly said no to handicap. The rooms are situated across the freeway that you would hear in a very clear and load sounds of cars driving by. Could not sleep all night long, I would not recommend it to anyone stay at this place.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this room. It exceeded my expectations. The shower was exceptional, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I will definitely be booking again in the future.

We stayed here with parents and kids. We found the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The airport shuttle service was excellent. The gym was nice and clean. The hotel is close to multiple restaurants and retail stores such as Target and Marshals. We will stay here again. Thank you!

There was never any trash bags in the trash bins.The trash was not emptied every day. Drink amenities were not fully filled every day. Not enough sugar and creamer for 2 cups of coffee. And, for me personally, not enough for one cup.

Bad place to stay, very noisy, smelly and staff not friendly. The elevators didn’t work and you will have to pay for parking or risk the chance of getting towed.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and never disappointed. My last time I left something in my room and it was found. The front desk staff had me email them a shipping label and they packaged it up. I had it in my hands within a week. Great customer service. As always.

The front desk receptionist with the blonde 4c hair type, did not enjoy her job she had a bad day and took it out on the customer.

Great little hotel centrally located in tempe.. ready to quickly get a ride shate to many great restaurants. Only thing is it is close to the airport and the freeway so there is some noise from air and car traffic but did not bother me at all

1. Noise Levels – The building has absolutely no soundproofing. I could hear conversations from inside and outside (third floor) as if they were in my room. The street noise was unbearable—cars racing by made it feel like I was sleeping at a racetrack. It was impossible to get any real rest. 2. Parking – Parking is managed by a third-party system located on the opposite side of the building. Inconvenient and frustrating, especially when you’re already dealing with a poor stay. 3. Bathroom Layout – The restroom setup is not guest-friendly. The sink is ridiculously small (think fishbowl), and there’s barely any space for two people to get ready at the same time. The only redeeming quality? The bed—very comfortable. Unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy it because of the constant noise. And the worst part? I’m booked for three more nights… UGH

I’m a heavy sleeper so it didn’t bother me but it’s proximity to the freeway can be loud at night when everyone is trying to sleep.

Hotel was nice enough ... not a lot to do at/near the hotel (restaurants, bars, etc) and no food served on the property was a detractor ... gym was pretty weak too ... but for a college/sports hotel, not shabby ... overpriced and ended up getting charged above and beyond what Expedia charged me

Nice style, beds were decent. Shower could use more water pressure and the hot and cold settings were “off”- hottest water came right between hot and cold. Room was chilly when we arrived but heater did warm it up. Front staff was helpful but didn’t seem happy to be there or looking to go beyond the basics of getting us keys.

Suppose to have breakfast for 2 and paid extra for it and did not have it. Stated due to holiday but in the hospitality business this was a poor excuse. The coffee was beyond disgusting and the people working there were less than empathetic.

Definitely enjoy our 2nd time staying there!

There is zero airflow in the room, no bathroom fan or an open window or patio. The ac was too small to move the air. I showered and went out for dinner, when I came back after a couple hours the room was still muggy from my shower, hours before.

Didn't allow my boyfriend and I to check in after having our flight cancelled and booking a late night overnight stay before our next flight in morning. I always choose Aloft hotels because I love the rooms and service and food is always amazing. We've never had this issue before. During our trip in a different city and hotel, the problem of me being 20 and not 21 arose but since my partner is 21 they were able to put him on the reservation and use his card as well, it wasn't a big issue. Not this one though, I think it's mostly the lady at the front desk at fault. She didn't seem to know what she was doing and after having to leave on foot at 3 am in the cold, and stay at a different hotel, I see we still got charged for the whole stay....I don't know how or why or what.

Parking charge+a fee+tax! Avoid this property, there are others in Tempe that aren't extorting their customers to increase their bottom line.

1) the coffee in the room was awful. 2) the noise from the freeway was constant and so became white noise But then would amp up to wake up levels when a motorcycle would race by. And there were at least five or more of them every night. Get an even numbered room

You must pay for parking separate. It is about $10 a day. The airport is loud and you can hear neighbors. I’ve stayed in better places for the same price. But it was alright.

The staff at the hotel were great starting with the airport shuttle driver Drew who gave us a fairly thorough verbal tour of the surrounding area on the way to the hotel which gave us plenty of ideas. The front desk staff, bartender, right down to the maintenance crew were friendly. Room and hotel amenities basic but good and clean. We used the small pool, gym, and felt comfortable in the room. Walking distance (within 5 minutes) you have Mile High Brewery, In N Out, Starbucks, Monroe’s Hot Chicken, Sweet Republic, QWENCH, and numerous other spots we didn’t try. You are also next to trails along the river and a 20 minute walk across the bridge to ASU Campus and the moderate level hike up Hayden Butte. Plenty more nearby if you are driving. We heard about the noise complaints but I feel like you’d have to be a light sleeper for this to be an issue. You are under the flight path of the airport and adjacent a freeway (which we faced) but we had no issue getting to sleep and staying asleep. Overall, would recommend and would go back to stay

It was a stay vacation. Did not want drive back to surprise az. Friday nights took in a comdey show at Tempe Improv. Grandson had a football game at Mesa high.

I stayed here my last two business trips, and both trips were very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Lorenza at the front desk was always friendly and helpful, and even remembered me from my first trip weeks earlier. Great place to stay when in Tempe.

I did like that It was conveniently located a block from 202, with a Starbucks and In & Out Burger across the street. I did not like that you charge for parking. The bathroom shower had NO place to put personal soaps and shampoo. There was NO place to hang towells close to the shower. And finally, the airconditioning unit made such a loud noise when it was about to turn off it woke me up all night.

Hotel has a great vibe.

Our air in the room didn’t work so it was humid all night.. we’re in AZ . So it was awful to sleep that way. The staff had her kids in the lobby , it was very inappropriate.. and no offered to move us to a different room or came to fix the air until a hour before we checked out

Nice place but just the traffic and too many motorcycles near and plus the airport.

After checking in, hopped in the shower to wash off the road grime only to have hotel maintenance/housekeeping try and enter my room. If the bar lock wasn't engaged they would have walked right in.

Aloft Tempe was a nice stay for business. It was conveniently located to several businesses and accessible to surrounding areas. The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly. The outside areas could use so improvement for seating/pool area. The freeway was very noisy, but the fan of the air conditioning unit drowned out the noise at night.

Pretty clean, comfy room, it's nice to have a coffee maker, ironing board, and microwave in the room, no need to call for extra shampoo or conditioner etc because they give plenty. Super convenient spot, walking distance to the concert venue at tempe lake and plenty of food options. 😀
