They had live roaches everywhere, from the bathroom to the floors to the walls. Now granted the room did look clean beds were made. But i hate bugs‼️ as well as the door was super hard to open i had to get help from someone that was staying there & he knew the door was messed up.

We didn't stay there. We enter the room and turned right back. Everything looked old very old. The tub looked all chipped and furniture looked like it was from 1800. The room just didn't look like we wanted to sleep there.

This place is awful it’s falling apart . Bed is hard and bumpy , the floor in bath is coming up , the walls trims are off the wall . The room smelled . Also iffy people hanging around property . I was nervous of something being done to my car . Oh yeah forgot about bugs in room . I would never recommend or go back there .

I didn't have the best stay as I had issues getting in the room, the comforter had stains on it, I had to take it off the bed, the sink had a Crack in it, I kept getting looked in the bathroom because the door handle was messed up, and I didn't feel comfortable taking a bath with things on the bottom of the tub. I took pictures of everything.

The room was very clean, looked like it was just cleaned actually, the air conditioner worked great and the staff was very kind and funny.

They didnt even let me get my room nor have they given me a refund back neither

Room stunk. Hole on the bathroom wall. Looks like water damage to bathroom walls and door. Pool unusable due to chunks of floating debris. COCKROACHES. We left after a couple hours and am still waiting on a partial refund that I’m sure won’t come. go to La Quinta right next door. That’s where we fled to after the cockroach attack.

My room was nasty and unsafe. It smelled like pee and the floor was too sticky. Bed sheets are dirty. The latch on the door is broken and the faucet was rusted. There were no batteries in my remote. Very gross. I did not feel safe and I was scared to sleep on the bed or take shower. There was a small roach in the corner.

Cleanliness roaches disrepair I'd say this hotel is shocking for a big chain!! Florida has perfected big spray I mean what's wrong with this manager it is literally time for them to choose go towards good and replace junk linens kill the bugs fix all extremely slow plumbing paint repair And pressure wash everything !! Or keep it status quo and the hooker population here will keep expanding and mold and roaches trash surrounding the building toilet and sink over flows and in less than 6 months it will be just like that trash hole the shame of Tampa the fairgrounds rodeway inn is rather sleep in a ditch !!!!! I had a non smoking room with cigarette burns in 99%of the room and linens and floors walls still yellow and enough lose marijuana on my desk to get all messed up and I literally lost a shoe on the sticky tacky floor!!

Just the location...it was convenient. The staff was rude, I request with a week on advance early check-in, and the lady just said "we don't have availability". It was my wife, my two daughters and myself, but only had two shower towels, I went to the lobby to request 2 more, and they told me: we only have one more.

Front window curtain broken with a long burn hole in it, approx 3 inches wide and top to bottom. Mirror frame broken. Toilet paper holder broken. WORST ROOM I EVER STAYED IN> TERRIBLE> Front desk said that maintenance was not aware.

The staff was nice. Roaches were crawling around the inside of the room. The tub looked old and didn’t feel comfortable giving my child a bath in it.

I walked in the room 1 million roaches awaited me cause a minute I cut the light on they started scattering. I went to the front desk to ask them to cancel the reservation so I can get my full amount back they refused, threatened to hit me with a bat and called the law-enforcement and acted like I was the problem I had my child with me. It is unsafe disgusting, and unhealthy in there.

This Hotel was the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Outside smelled like a dead animal, inside the room was filthy, like it had never been properly clean, items falling off the wall, not level or rusted, you could only take a shower, there were stains, cigarette burns etc on the sheets, bath mat, towels and dirt, trash and small toys under the bed. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was completely covered in dust. There was a roach in the room, and it had a dirty smell. The counter sink was cracked, and glued or something. I would have complained but based on observations, it wouldn’t have made a difference. This hotel is a flop hotel. You couldn’t pay me enough to stay there again. I would have looked for another hotel but it being Easter weekend, plus the plans we already had, along with us needing to be in that area and a pet friendly hotel, it wasn’t an option. Please email me if you’d like to see some pictures, I have plenty! This was the biggest let down of a hotel and I don’t see how it passed any inspections!

The light in the bathroom blew out on my second day staying there, maintenance guy told me those lights are too expensive to replace. Mind you this was my last week staying at the hotel, but in all honesty staff needs professional training, I deserve some kind of reimbursement.

Nastiest hotel I've stayed in ,in over 10 years..had to swap rooms 3 times...No AC, no TV, no lights over the sink...1 towel for 2 people...and no phones working since the hurricane? {2 yrs}...hope they don't have an emergency

The room, smelled of mildew and the lamp fixtures were rusted. Bathroom had pubic hairs in the shower, glitter on the floor, and oh a baby roach was there to greet me. If that wasn't enough, how about my room was never cleaned daily. No fresh towels, no bed made, and there was no additional lock on the door for safety. Old run down hotel with dirty rooms. Worst hotel stay I've ever experienced.

Everything was ok once they fix the tv an bathroom

I only needed to rest my head for about six hours after a 23 hr drive, but it got too hot without ac. So I checked out at 3am.

Floors were sticky and dirty. There were no bath size towels, only hand towels. The building is old and unkempt. I wouldn’t have stayed here if my wife was with me but it was tolerable for the two nights I spent alone. If cheap is what you’re after, this place delivers.

Dirty, holes in comforter (maybe cigarette burns), loud, people smoking on walkways right outside rooms, room telephone did not work (supposedly none worked “since the hurricane” but I believe that was over a year ago. Tried to call the front desk but couldn’t use the phone in the room for several issues, took a while to find the “local” number online.

The room was gross. There appeared to be a short in the electrical, so the main light would work when it wanted to. There were no bulbs in the loghts over the beds and the table lamp also didn't work, so we only had the one bedside table lamp and bathroom light. The bathroom was tiny (you had to stand in the tub to close the door), and the flooring was broken pieces with giant gaps to the linoleum below. There were bugs in the floor. The ceiling had stains. And the door to the room was broken. I had to slam my shoulder into the door to force it opened, but there was no trouble opening the door from inside. It was quiet and no one bothered us.

The room smelled like a wet dog because pets are allowed, which I didn’t realize at first. I specifically asked for a non-smoking room, but it smelled strongly of cigarettes. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

He tried to make it work since he’s blue-collar and only needed a place to sleep, but the conditions were unacceptable. He saw 8 roaches in 5 nights. The hotel was extremely dirty, and basic necessities were lacking. He was given only one shower towel and one roll of toilet paper for his entire stay. This place is disgusting. Please do not stay here. Keep it moving. It should be shut down, and I will be making every attempt to report this place for how disgusting they are.

The smoke alarm had been removed from the wall and someone had obviously smoked in the room prior to our visit. Staff apparently didn't notice that the smoke detector had been disabled even though the room reeked of old smoke. Also, there was very little toilet paper on roll in bathroom and no extra roll to replace it with once gone.

Booked 3 rooms. 1 room ready at 3. The other 2 3:30, floors haven’t been moped in years. Asked about a noon check out. I was told ok. Non of the house keeping team knew. They walked in on my son getting dressed as he told them he was all set.

Room in need of TLC, vanity sink broken, towel rack need repair. Prime location close to shopping, etc. But wouldn't recommend, also they charge extra to have a microwave/refrigerator in the room.

We booked two rooms not just one and both the rooms were absolutely terrible. We asked why are the rooms like that and they had no response. We checked out 30mins after checking around midnight. Never book this hotel even if they offer rooms for free if you a person who expects basic cleanliness in hotel rooms.

Everything was fine and well

I never leave reviews but for this place I have to do it. This is the worst place I’ve stayed ever and I travel a lot. It had cockroaches, dirty towels, the toilet didn’t had water and the whole room seems like had not been cleaned in months and only one light was working.

Room was okay- shower was dirty, floors turned my feet black, but area was quiet and peaceful! If you have kids though be prepared for people below you to complain if they laugh, cry or jump!

Blood stains on the sheets, cockroaches, broken toilet. I walked in the room and immediately out. It was disgusting and should be shut down for health reasons.

close to a state park for 20 mile hike booked a year in advance. Room was less than desirable by any means. Floors were dirty. Used a towel to walk around on, toilet never flushed, and the mounds of caulk in the shower were the only thing holding the place together. Wildly awoken at 3:15am, thankfully, a fire has broken out above the room I was staying. 136- opened the door looked up, saw flames, jumped in my truck to quickly move it. Ended up sleeping in my truck in the parking lot. Next morning, asked to be moved, considering the room was filled with water that had come in and misc debris from the fire directly in front of the door, I waited a few hours to no eval. Drove back to the east coast on 2 hours sleep. Never stayed the last night as the whole weekend was a bust. As is the hotel given any day.

The lady at the front desk was a little rude. The room smelled so nasty. There was no fridge and the toilet barley flushed.

Light fixtures and pugs don’t work, doors rotted through, tub had blood stains and shower head leaks rotting the walls. The floors made my socks and shoes black. The stench of smoke and the rotting of wood was almost unbearable.Overall, horrible, unrestful experience. I will not go back.

The room was very musty smelling, A couple of small coaches were running around the rusty bathtub. The bed was clean and cozy. Good hot water. I was alone and tired. I didn't walk out after seeing the roaches but had my wife been with me I probably would not have chosen a two star hotel. Bottom line - $75 wont get you much these days.

Put it in the computer, ended up that some else tried to get in our room, I had to end up having an argument with the manager. We left right away and drove the 4 hours home

You get what you pay for. First and foremost, staff was great. The downsides... the room was falling apart. Roaches in the bathroom, toilet barely flushed, bathroom door would get stuck closed because it was broken. I woke up to some sort of bug bite on my hand to where half my hand is swollen.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY HERE!! IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE I WOULD. Where do I begin! Well the staff was amazing at checkin. When we got to our room (mind you it was a “handicap” room. It was absolutely disgusting. Smelled horrible of MOLD. The floors were coming up off the floor, the bathroom was horrible. Granted it was big but it was unsafe. The floor actually slipped out from under my husband and he fell. The sink was actually broken and had been glued back together. I went to the front desk and the attendant was amazing on getting us another room. The second room was cleaner, the floor wasn’t coming up and didn’t smell like mold but it was still not up to standards. There was Roaches, mold in the bathroom, the toilet and shower were dirty. We dumped a little water and when my husband went to clean it the towel was black. Now mind you we were staying there because I was having surgery and live 3 hours south. So we had to get a room up there but never again will I stay at THIS red roof inn.

We checked in after 8pm and the loby was closed, a paper sigh directed guests to use the "window" around the side was a security window, buzzer and tinny, scratchy speaker . A woman inside was sweeping and looked annoyed and finally acknowledged my presence. She was less than welcoming and curt. It took her along time to check us in and she spoke very few words through the speaker at us. It felt more like a prison visit then vacation check in. This check in experience was sad because the room itself was great! Red Roof Inns are usually very welcoming, not this one. Management needs to do better .

Firstly, the pictures shown on your page didn't match with the physical look of the motel. Secondly rooms needs everyday cleaning which never occurred during my stay.

The front desk lady was nice, but the place was NASTY. Roaches everywhere, the bathroom was gross and the toilet didn't even flush and when i told the staff they said to just lift the chain. Felt very unsafe here, if you're planning on booking here, one word, DONT.

First, we had to change rooms. The first room they gave us had poop on the walls of the bathroom and the tv didn't work. Then they had us moved us to another room. The new room appeared cleaner until the cockroaches came out from under the beds. The room had a smell. Will not stay there again.

The room was on the third floor, and the first thing we noticed was a bright orange traffic cone on the stairs, because one of the stairs was literally falling apart. When we reached the third floor, it smelled like urine all up and down the hallway. People were sitting outside their doors smoking, which was bad for us as we have allergies to cigarette smoke. We found dirty clothes sitting on the floor. The walls were dirty, the floorboards had dirt piled up in the corners, the chair was stained, and the bed lifted up when we sat on it. Even though it was a non-smoking room, the smell of the smoke outside came into the room. The property felt very unsafe, and we decided not to leave anything in the room during the day. Avoid this place like the plague.

Well, I will never be staying here again. I booked a non smoking room but when we walked in our room the heavy smoke smell was pungent. I could barely sleep with how bad it was. You may ask why I didn’t go and ask for another room well the area had me sketched out. I was so scared to walk out and ask for a different room. We had a phone inside but it didn’t work. The inside of the room had broken doors and lights. There were flies and bugs in the room. Finally after falling asleep we woke up to a disgusting sewage smell filling the room. I kept waking up through the night and heard the toilet making gurgling noises but didn’t think much if it. I heard noises outside our door early that morning and went too look out the peep hole but the door has tissue paper filled inside the holes (one which looked bloody). If it were up to me we would’ve left if we could have been refunded our money to find a more suitable hotel. The pictures were extremely deceiving. On a positive note we didn’t check in until about 8:45 and the lady at the front desk that night said she would leave the pool open for an extra hour so we could enjoy it but after seeing our room and the area we decided not to go. I just wish our experience was better.

Went for my fiancé birthday just a little night out away without kids. First thing walking in the room; my baby roach crawled from underneath the air-conditioning unit. What you didn’t worry me because it’s Florida. It happens. We had dinner plans so we just dropped our stuff off and left. The hotel was not maintained. The stairs to the second floor were crumbling. The room was dirty, smelled very rank, the bathroom sink was glued together, the bathtub had a very arge patch on the bottom. We arrived late at night, so we stayed. The next morning, we asked for a refund, and she told us we had to pay for the three nights booked.

The room didn't look anything like what was online. Homeless people everywhere. The sheets were dirty. We slept on top of the comforter. It was musty. I wouldn't even give a one star .

This was one of the most unfortunate hotel stays I’ve had in a very long time. I needed to check in 30 minutes early, and the staff wanted to charge me $20 to do so. I opted for letting them know that it would be midnight otherwise. Upon hearing to my room, I was greeted with other guests all around smoking outside. The room smelled as if all of those people were in the room itself smoking, along with a musty, dank smell that makes one wonder how much mold was present. The were several bugs crawling around, the bedding had stains all over it, there was holes in the bathroom flooring, the baseboard was missing in most of the room, the toilet did not flush. The room was so disgusting, I wouldn’t even use the shower. If it had not been so late at night, I never would have stayed there. If all the rooms in this hotel are as abysmal as the room I stayed in, it should be condemned.

On the internet it shows the rooms are nice but when you get there it is not what it looks like. The room are not in the best condition. We had a room with doubles beds the covers had spots on them, roaches in the bath room, lizards, lights wasn't working good you had to switch them on and off, tub was horrible couldn't even sit my son in it and the TV you could barely see the pictures or anything.

There were people selling drugs in the parking lot. When we got there, in the room, everything was wet because of the humidity, and there was dried urine on the walls. It smelled moldy. 0/10 recommend

What kind of personnel do you have working at your place? Maintenance can't even fix holes properly, and housekeeping can't clean behind the TV, between the fridge, the bathroom wall, the phone, the table, etc. Does anyone follow up anymore or is it like DEI and who cares? I deleted the pictures from my phone so I would not think or remember this horrific place ever again. HORRIFIC! DISGUSTING! MORTAL! FIRST & LAST! TO EVEN SAY THE LEAST! Terrible roach infestation. AC was not working, phone was not ringing to the front desk, found roaches in the bed, on the pillow, shook 4 roaches out of my shoe. When we went in person to ask for a refund because we needed to leave and stay at another hotel the front desk man was rude and kept lying to us to get us out. He started ignoring and laughing at us, hotels.com tried to call them and they would not answer their phone, their own corporate office tried to call and they wouldn’t answer. This property was still under construction. There was mold on the walls rust on every metal item in the room there’s no fridges there’s it was dirty. The curtains were shredded and ruffled. It was just dirty and gross.

We've stayed at several Red Roof Inn hotels in our travels because we can take our fur babies. This one by far was the last taken care of. The linens were clean but dingy and old. It was suppose to be a non smoking room, however there were cigarette burns in the linen and the one chair in the room. The flooring in the bathroom was loose abs gaping. Sheriff's deputies visited a few times as well and not to mention the contract high from the smells. Not a place I will stay again. I have it a 2 because we had a pets with us due to an emergent issue with our home. Nope!

It was a horrible stay! We got 2 rooms. The rooms are roach infested. I saw 4 of them in 1 room and 3 in the other and I’m sure there were more. When I told the clerk in the lobby, 1 room the only partially refunded and the other room they claimed they couldn’t refund since we booked thru a 3rd party. The area was not nice. It was basically “in the cut” would never recommend staying there !

Hotel room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Lack of shampoo and lack of coffee in the morning are negatives.

Check-in was delayed slightly due to the clerk being out of the office for about 10 minutes. The room was clean but the condition of the room was terrible. If your looking for an economic place to stay this is it but the bath tub was corroding as there were rust spots on the inside and outside, the walls were damaged but someone in maintenance threw some putty over the damage. The toilet didn't flush well and it used enormous amounts of water to flush. The room was quiet and there was ample parking. Bottom line this hotel/motel is on his last legs. Red roof should really build a new motel/hotel in the area.

Room was dirty. First room had stains on the bed sheets that looked like blood. The walls was covered in dirt. The bathroom toilet backed up into the shower to the point I couldn't take a shower. The heater was on when I walked in. I switched to a room that was a little better but not by much. Ac leaked. Chair has burn holes in it. When I asked to get a refund the desk asked if I had used the room ie sat on the bed used towels or moved anything. I said yes and they said sorry we can't give you a refund and this is the only room open. I was better off sleeping in my car if I felt safe out there. I have pictures of all of this but it won't let me upload them here.

Room was not very impressive. Flooring was warped and large gaps in the bathroom. All the light fixtures had dead Flys in them. Not worth the money they get for the room we were in. The online pictures make the place look pretty nice but just not the case.

The property was dated and fixtures were dusty. It was apparent that the fixtures were older or installed with the minimal oversight to contractors. The space was as minimally clean as it could be.

Absolutely nothing. Its a Ghetto motel. There were people sitting outside watching me unload my car. As i was leaving i met another couple leaving too. When my bathroom light didnt come on, i was told to keep flicking the light on and off till it came on. The other couple said they were told the same thing. For that very reason i decided to leave.

The bed sheets had cigarette holes, there were cockroaches everywhere, the lights flickered, and the bathroom light didn't turn on. It didn't appear that the sheets had been changed from the last person in the room either.

This property is in horrible condition and filthy. I took pictures. You should see them! Also, i have lost all confidence in Expedia after this experience which caused us an extra 2 hours trying to find another hotel. Your service also charged me 2.5x the going rate than if i had booked directly thru the hotel. On their website, its $41, and exactly what its worth. The pictures on your site do not represent the property accurately.

We checked in on sunday we booked a king smoking deluxe or suite but we also were getting to check in if we were ok with 2 beds smoking. the room actually is spacious. It had a mini fridge and microwave and a desk area . The bathroom is a shower/tub and u barely can shut the door when youre using the toilet. That really was really the only little thing thats was annoying.

Everyone was very friendly and efficient, however the maid service did not speak English and the room It's very rundown, bathtub paint is chipping one of the counters is falling off the wall there is rust on all the metal fixtures and the floor is broken with cracks, but it was quiet. If you're a really into hygiene this place is not for you, on a high note I only saw one roach and it was small.

I cant explain how disgusting the rooms were and the conditions it was in. The beds had stains, dust was hanging from the roofs, roaches were found in our bags and on the walls, the sink was broken and put together with silicon. Probably the nastiest place I have ever stayed it. $140.00 they were charging for the night but it should have been 20.00 a night, I called the front office to have someone clean the spider webs and dust hanging from the ceiling and they told me house keeping goes home early around1 pm. The floors and mirrors smelled like clorox, Again, I was in shock on the conditions when I walked in. This needs to be managed properly. I knew three other families that left because of their room conditions as well. This is an embarassment to Red Roof Inn. The hotel needs major updates but at a minimum they need to be cleaned and fumigated properly.
