    So, to be honest we were a little skeptical because it was an older building. I must say this property was excellent. The rooms have been redone. The staff was super helpful and amazing. The lady doing the breakfast Ms. Linda was the best breakfast attendant I’d ever had. She spoke to everyone and was very helpful to families with children. It was basically like having our own personal server. We will be back. Good bang for your buck.

    Comfortable beds and hot water for showers. Door not very secure (literally was bendy) with a huge hap underneath for bugs, snakes, or sp8ders to enter from outside. Very limited TV channels (no cable) and half in Spanish.

    Got charged for smoking in her room we most definitely didn’t smoke in and when confronted about the extra charge was told by Paul he had proof that we smoked in the room when we definitely must have not so I asked Paul to send the proof he has to not only my cell phone which he then said after a second phone call back to him was not letting him send the proof through a text message but the. gave him my email to send it through that and still have yet to receive the proof, the person that was staying with me in the room also did not smoke in the room called and was put on hold for an hour before he hung up and had to call back just for Paul to tell him that he sent me the proof when I in fact, five hours later have not received anything from Paul not through text not through email. Called above him to get the situation handled, They can’t do anything so in the process of going higher than that, but beware if you’re out of town and you stay here, you will be charged an extra $150 just because they want to say that you smoke in a room that you did not smoke in.

    I think this property does the best it can with the circumstances. It’s a very dated property but is very clean, especially all things considered. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The staff was as friendly as could be.

    Rooms were alot nicer than anticipated. The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of parking. The only down side was if your on the 2nd floor there is no elevator so you have to carry your bags up two flights of stairs. The shuttle to port Tampa leaves every hour starting at 9Am so plan accordingly and be sure to sign up at the front desk the day before cause space is limited.

    Relatively updated and clean for an older hotel. Eoom had microwave and medium sized fridge with small freezer. Great clean pool, but little shade in that area. Breakfast included a simple hot option, waffles, breads, cereals, juices, coffee. Cebtrally located and close to many restaurants, downtown, and the port. Grocery store and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend for the price and location.

The lady at the front desk was extremely sweet and effecient upon check-in. The fridge did not work. It had an odor. Rust on bottom of fridge door. Small mold spots in the bathroom.     Bed was comfortable. I appreciated having both a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. Cons: When items that were delivered to the front desk for me went missing, the staff were completely disinterested in helping me find out what happened, became overtly hostile, refused to call the manager for me and even threatened to throw me out of the hotel when I demanded to see him (??). After I waited more than 4 hours to see the manager because he was not there/busy, he was also immediately defensive and dismissive of my lost/stolen property, despite my request that he check the cameras to see what became of it. After waiting more than an hour for him to review the cameras (I was not allowed to review the cameras with him), he said he could see the delivered bag and that it was placed behind the front desk, but that it "vanished" and he couldn't see what happened to it after that. Sure, Bob. Anyway, either he knows who the sticky-fingered employee was and decided to cover for them, he just pretended to review the cameras or the entire camera security system is fiction. Either way, the security and ethics of this establishment are very shady. And the customer service is very nice until there is a problem, apparently. Would 0/10 ever stay there again.

    No lo recomiendo. Los pasillos, el cuarto estaban sucios. Las toallas del baño manchadas y con pelos. El lavamanos tapado. Realmente no cumple con la expectativa que uno espera como consumidor. Tuve que costear otro lugar por las condiciones y reclamar al hotel. Solo quedaron en reembolsarme 1 noche cuando lo que estuve fue ni dos horas. Por las condiciones en que me entregaron el cuarto.

    Breakfast was fast and staff helpful. Our room key stopped working after 1st day and I had to track down front desk staff to re-activate. We asked for towels the second day and after 4 hours we had to ask again . There was very little water pressure but lots of hot water. The bathroom door did not close easily, but bed was comfortable.

    We had to pay extra to leave our car, which was not mentioned online. We had to pay extra to have the hotel shuttle drop us at the ship and pick us up. We got back in a day earlier than planned, so I went to the office to get a refund for the one day $18.00. The lady behind the desk twisted it into my owing them another twenty dollars for picking us up. Won’t stay there again.

    First of all, we were not aware that this property - all rooms are motel style- drive up & have an exterior access room. The locks and safety did not look seem very stable. We asked to look at the room & it was bad. if you walked by the window or first glance it did not look terrible but once you went in & had a closer look it was BAD! the desk chair had dirty crusted "stuff" all over the seat and back, the comforters had stains! the other sitting chair had fading, stains, food on it also. the floor looked like it had recently been replaced however there was a big piece missing where 2 boards met in main walking part. the bathroom was the worst - toilet was not clean, shower had alot of mildew/mold, under the sink: if you were to sit on toilet you seen holes in drywall, pipes exposes & dangling, the corners of room /vanity were caked with alot of dirt, dust, etc? the closet door bottom was rusted, fridge door was dirty, etc, etc. the evening staff lady at the desk however was understanding when we instantly came back & told her we could not stay -& reported the some of the problems. she found a way to refund what i had already paid to expedia.

    Location is in a very busy part of city. Wasn’t expecting two floors of carrying four suitcases up to second floor without an elevator. It is an older motor lodge type building which was unexpected. Overall it was well worth the money due to the transport to the port.

    The front desk attendant did her best to handle a bad situation with the plumbing problem in our room but couldn't. I took a shower which ended up with me standing in 6 inches of NASTY water. My stepson couldn't shower because the water wouldn't drain. When we reported this to the front desk they ask us to give it time. After 45 minutes it still hadn't drained so their solution was to give us a plunger & tiny knife. I wish I was joking.....my stepson tried to no avail and the most vile, disgusting things, including CORN came up out of the drain but the water still wouldn't go down. We contacted the front desk AGAIN & ask if they would call a plumber. The front desk clerk said her manager said NO, that there are no plumbers available at 830 pm on Sunday evening. That's bullcrap, I know because I used to be a property manager in Tampa for Greystar & Sentinel. We had to pack up all our stuff, find another hotel, unpack, etc all because the manager is too lazy to bring a drill w a 6 ft snake over & fix the problem. He/She should be fired, completely unacceptable

    No elevator for the detached building was an issue for luggage. Floor was dirty in the room that turned my son's bare feet black. Some of the electrical and usb outlets or adapters were not working and had to move cords around to charge things. Shuttle to the cruise port was good ($10 per person) but worth it.

    The lady at the front desk was very nice and the cookies in the lobby were good. There was a gap under our door that the light of day was shining through. It didn’t feel safe. The room looked clean until I spilled something on the floor and cleaned it up with a towel and the towel was black! I was pretty grossed out. I will not be going back.

    Basic Motel, still thought it was a bit pricey for what you got. Not much more than a Red Roof Inn. Beds were terrible, somehow our do not disturb sign vanished from the door so we got maids banging on the door. Then when we said no thank you, we never saw them the rest of the stay. Small room, even for 3 people. Would be perfect for a contractor looking for a cheap bed for the night while passing through. Not great for a family, or ANYONE staying more than 1 night.

    Room was ok, but the AC stopped cooling in the middle of the night. Room became warm and stuffy. Also 4 pillows would be great, three for two people is odd. We selected this hotel because we had a concert to attend. Several in our party called to confirm the shuttle service. We booked two rooms. I was told at check in that it runs every hour until 1. Once the concert was over we went to wait for the shuttle. After waiting and then calling we were told they stop mid day. Thank goodness for uber but the extra cost wasn't expected.

    The staff was great and kind. It was a quick check in as well. However… I’m not one to complain… and I’m not. However the breakfast location was more of a nook… it was so small for how many rooms there are. They allow people to keep their cars there for cruises so the parking is crazy full with very small slots. Finally the water temp in shower was terrible. I still felt like I had soap and shampoo on me even after showering. Otherwise the bed was comfy.

    Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Everything functioned as it should. AC was cold (but loud). Parking was convenient. Complimentary breakfast was more than adequate and enjoyable; the attendant Linda was lovely and engaging. All staff were friendly. Chair in room was very dirty and in need of a deep cleaning of upholstery. We did not sit on it because of that. Bathroom Only had two bath towels.

    This stay has started my One Night in Tampa blog; in other words, it was terrible. I was scared for my life... traveling solo, I had never been to Tampa so I should've researched on best places...well, safe places to stay in Tampa. As soon as I arrived, a potential drug dealer/pimp and his umm... service worker was in the lobby. Need I say more? I rushed to my room and placed a chair against my door, slept with one eye open and counted the minutes until daylight for when my cruise began. Urggh.... scary times!

    The room i got had very bad smell - like it was a smokers room. The room was dirty and highly neglected. I complained and the front counter said nothing he can do because all rooms were sold. The sink drain did not work. Not that i needed but they do not provide airport transportation like it said on the booking page. Overall, this should be a 1 star hotel. Dont go by the perfect polished pictures that they put on. I would stay away from this place.

    The floor of the room was absolutely disgusting. Walked around barefoot and our feet were filthy and had to be wiped prior to getting into bed. Broken curtains, stained bedding, walls with holes in them, a sink that didn't drain properly and a door that didn't comletely seal either so closing out noise wasn't an option.

    Absolutely awful! Way over priced for the quality of the facility! Dirt in the sheets and stains on the pillow cases. Huge gape under door could watch people pass by throw the gap under door. Mold in room. Was just awful! Lady at check in was already rude so didn’t want to complain to her. Breakfast was just as bad.

Linda at breakfast was a hoot.(That's a good thing) She made you feel like you were in her kitchen and wanted to make sure you had everything you needed.     We stayed at this hotel for one night before going on a cruise from the port of Tampa. It’s certainly not a 5 star property, but I gave the rating based on experience. We were a group of 10. We got in at night and had two people celebrating birthdays. Trish at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. She was great at check in, had lots of information ready, and helped our group use the breakfast area so we could all get together for a little birthday celebration. The property and rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable, and the shuttle service to the port made this an ideal hotel for those going on a cruise.

    The hotel is definitely dated, but fairly clean. The staff were very friendly. Miss Linda was great every morning at breakfast time. She made sure that everyone had a place to sit and eat. Port shuttle was convenient although it only ran once an hour. At the time of booking, the website on Expedia stated that they had an airport shuttle. Not the case, it was discontinued in August 2025.

    No night light in the bathroom. Had use the table light from the desk as a night light because the fan was so loud, and the light was so bright.     The night staff when we checked in was very friendly. I believe his name was Darryl. They did help us by letting us leave our bags behind the desk when we wanted to venture out since we needed to grab some things before we went to our cruise. For this I will say the staff was friendly. Our only problem was I believe we found a bug in our room which looked like it could be a roach, also kinda had a weird smell when you walked in the door.

    Cockroach... hard NO! Front desk person was very friendly and helpful. When we walked into our room, and roach was walking across the floor. We walked right back out and checked out. No refund as of 10 days later. Our room had an exterior entrance, and the bed was no more than 3 feet from the not super-tight sealing door. We would not recommend this hotel.

    I received a voicemail around 6pm stating that my reservation would be cancelled if I didn’t arrive in a half an hour. The problem is I was mid flight when the call came through, and the 30 mins had passed and my reservation was cancelled. Fast forward to now and my card was charged for a cancellation fee and I’m not the one who cancelled the reservation it was the hotel that cancelled.

    The room was clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The place was much quieter and a lot less beat up than the Ramada by Wyndham I stayed in my first three nights in Tampa. The only issue was the internet was hard to figure out, as I had a password but no information about the network to connect to, and there were three that said Quality inn. I had to keep trying until one allowed me to, but the next morning before I checked out, I was disconnected and it told me that my surname and room number didn't match their records, and it didn't take my password.

    This property feels more like a motel than a hotel. Although the rooms have been upgraded, the building itself is quite old. The room door locks, but it does not fully close and can still move, which felt unusual. I asked the front desk if this was normal and if the door was secure, and they said yes. I also noticed tiny ants on the nightstand — not alarming, but not ideal. Additionally, there is a $100 deposit required in case of smoking in the room.”

    The room was very clean and comfortable, staff was friendly, breakfast food was very basic continental and the eggs were questionable. Old school a/c unit, which surprised me, but it worked well.

    Our room was clean, the front office staff was friendly and engaging, and breakfast was decent. Our only complaint is that there wasn't enough parking. We came in late from attending a Buccs game and there were no parking spots left. We had to park in front of the front office and walk outdoors in order to get to our room.     I checked in with Tricia, who made a great first impression and was very helpful with information about local restaurants. Carol at the breakfast buffet was a pleasure to talk with, I could see she interacted with each guest and assisted with running a very decent breakfast service. The area was well stocked and clean. My room was a good size and very clean. Lots of places to plug in electronics.

    The staff are great. The room was clean and comfortable. It’s easy to get in and out from. The best part was the staff I believe her name is Glenda or maybe Linda (forgive me I’m terrible with names) went above and beyond during breakfast. The beds are comfortable, the pillows are normal, the rooms are clean, and it’s quiet. The only negative I can think of is nothing. There’s nothing to complain about for the price and location I got way more than I payed for.

    There was no room available other than a second floor room with no elevator. The staff asked me why I didn’t call ahead and let them know. I was not willing to carry my suitcases upstairs. They did not offer any assistance in getting the suitcases to the room. The lack of a lack of an elevator was not included in the hotel description The reception staff implied the lack of description was Expedias fault. I asked to cancel the room and they said no because it was noncancelable. Eventually they offered me another room on the ground floor, which was absolutely disgusting. It smelt like drains. It was painted yellow, which was chipped in places. All the fittings in the bathroom were rusty, and the rug was sticky. We left and went to find ourselves a decent hotel. This hotel is beyond disgusting if this was not enough, there was some very odd characters walking around in the car park while we were trying to sort this mess out

    This hotel is “older” and could use upgrades but for what I needed - it was perfect. I just stayed overnight and used the shuttle to the cruise port. The room was clean, no weird smells, no bugs, and bed was comfortable. I didn’t use shower (showered at home before leaving) so can’t comment on temp or pressure. Breakfast was good, with all the standard hot and non-hot options. All the staff I encountered from night to morning to shuttle driver was great. Shuttle runs every hour from I believe 9am-1pm and is $10 per person. I went at 10am and was there by 10:20am, then on the ship by 11. Good location with plenty of food and shopping options nearby. May not be ideal for a long stay but for a night or few, it’s perfectly fine.

    This hotel is managed well and attended to both external environment AND in the room. It is discounted in pricing well below its real value!     This property has seen better days, but you get what you pay for. We booked a king, but got two double beds. The beds were comfortable, though the sheets were worn.     This is a very, very old property. If I had known what it was going to be like I would not have booked here. But I was trying to find something near the port that wasn’t outrageously expensive. We arrived late that day, and the guy at the front desk was very friendly and nice. The breakfast accommodations were mediocre. They were running out of a lot of items. The lady did make up some more pancake batter, but the person that stocked the breakfast bar was not very friendly.

    This hotel was extremely unprofessional and very misleading in the pictures. Me and my best friend arrived here yesterday and we decided to check in and once we got into the room, we realize how dirty it was and how moldy it smelt. The beds had hair that almost look like pubic hair, and the sheets had stain on them, which clearly tells you that this room was not even cleaned. The bathroom sink had specs and little pieces of dirt as well, and the bathtub had hair in it. Upon removing the first layer of bed sheet, there were more stains and hair. At this point, me and my girlfriend decided to leave and we went to the front desk to get the reservation cancelled and to get our refund. They would not give us a reservation and on top of that when I tried contacting the property again through hotels.com, the manager himself was very adamant about not giving a refund because it was their “policy”. Anybody that see this review please stay away from this hotel because we also saw a couple of people that were shady looking sitting in the parking lot and smoking. The neighborhood is not all that great. We were also informed that there is a security guard that he does not play which makes me assume that there is always disturbance in this hotel.

    I'm a little surprised that this property got so many good reviews. I would be remiss if I did not mention the lovely lady who serves the breakfast, she was working very hard to be sure people were cared for and she is very friendly and kind. But I will look around before I book here again. You're right on Dale Mabry, lots of traffic and noise, street people all around, the door to your room opens to the street so there is some concern for your safety, it's an older, smaller building. I couldn't connect to the Internet, and when I tried to call the desk for help, the phone in my room didn't work. Water pressure in the shower was dreadful, older bed that squeaked, pillows were small and stiff, towels were old and thin and coarse. I was only there for one night and got through it, but I will see if I can't do better next time.

    Contacted hotels.com about it and they contacted quality inn letting them know they needed to honor it. Hotels.com assured me I would be picked up from the airport on the 1st. Contacted quality inn to schedule and they told me again I would not be picked up when I informed the receptionist about hotels.com she became very rude and told me I needed to call back later to talk to the manager. I called multiple times the following day to be told the manager was too busy to talk to me. The final call I insisted he get in the phone. I told him I would happily Uber myself to the hotel if he could comp the shuttle to the cruise port the following morning he said it was not possible. He would pay for my Uber but he hung up without getting any details. I Ubered myself to the hotel from the airport and the manager told me he would comp me to the cruise port since I did that. Great but why was I told no when I called him. The room AC was not working and the entire hotel just looks so run down and sketchy. I called the front desk but of course no answer had to walk back and let them know. They said a switch on the wall was shut off and it was working. The room cooled off in a few hours. They took us to the port in the morning, I would never stay again.

    Good price and convenient location, but the room has a strong smell of humidity. The room 128 has a door that connects to another room and the door locks were damaged and the room desk was placed on front to hold the door.

    Set up like a motor hotel. Room opens to asphalt. Driveway is unsafe. Air conditioner kept us up so noisy but was necessary because of heat and humidity

    ok Quality Inn promised pickup from the Airport to Quality Inn and when I called for pickup was told that service no longer exist.When I asked about a ride from Quality Inn to the cruiseliner,I was told the shuttle was already full.That turned me away from Quality Inn in the future.

    It was late when we came in so it was a little hard to get food. But they did give a great food list for if you get there earlyer. ( we didnt eat till about ten when everything was closeing). But they do have door dash so we did get food and the bed was very comfortable. We didnt want to get out of it.

    The stay was really nice. My friend and I were there for a concert so we were in and out. The staff were really friendly and even gave us a package that shows us what’s around. The only thing I would say was bad was that the bathroom sink’s drainage wasn’t working so we had to brush our teeth and wash our face/hands in the tub :/. Other than that it was a great stay ! The airport shuttle was also great bonus and I loved that they had breakfast in the morning.

    Property was filthy. Room was filthy. Bottom of room door didn’t even reach the ground with a gap of more than an inch for insects to come in and out lights didn’t work door had been kicked in at some point.

    I enjoyed the price & how there was LOTS of restaurants & stores within walking distance. Also loved the pool & free breakfast. My only real issues were my rooms cleanliness & the Internet service. My rooms floor was FILTHY!!! Walking barefoot for 10 minutes in my room & my feet were BLACK! And when I tried connecting my laptop to the wifi it simply wouldn't register no matter what I did. Mostly the price for my stay was the best for what it was. Would definitely book again.

    This hotel was not up to pur standards. They had exposed power breakers, you can hear the springs in the bed ( they were squeaky) the sheets had black stain on them. Under the couch there were clothes from previous visitors and very dusty (not swept), there was abug on the bed. Room service had to requested (no one told us), the breakfast was ok- bagels were hard and boiled eggs were a little rubbery, but overall ot was ok- definitely better the room. Deposit was requested and no receipt was given. They said it was in a binder and they will keep tabs on it. When we checked out no receipt either, they said it will be on yhe app. Hotel was old but they tried to update it. Overall. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at all.

    The pool was great but insides the room were so dirty that i took my shoes off and my socks turned black in 2 minutes. The floors were covered in dirt. There were roaches in the room too. Other than that the stay was fine

    It was nice. You get what you pay for. Nothing special, but it was a quick overnight stay. They offered a port shuttle for $10/person which was convenient for us. Nothing is very close, you need to walk a half mile or so. Overall it served its purpose.

    Check In was a breeze. Easy. Fast. Efficient. Property is in a good area with lots of food choices around. Property itself leaves a bit to be desired. Older. In desperate need of upgrading in rooms. A good stay before our cruise but will probably look elsewhere next time. Staff was great.

    My room was infested with mosquitoes, I have bit marks all over my body that I got in less than an hour of being in my room. I have photos of the bites and dead mosquitoes I killed. I told the front desk at check out and showed them the photos, I explained that I was unhappy sleeping in such conditions and they would not take accountability for the state of the room. I’ve lived in Florida my entire life and am very used to mosquitoes and would not have thought twice about seeing one or two. But they were everywhere, we were constantly being bit. The linen on the bed had a sh*t on it. And to top it off, they were doing renovations next door and were drilling constantly and banging on the other side of the wall above the bed as I was trying to rest. I called the front desk and asked if they could work on a different room or do something that was quieter or simply be moved to another room and the front desk had a bit of an attitude about it. It seemed like an outlandish request that I wanted to “rest” in my room, which is literally the purpose of a hotel. The best part of this hotel was the nice lady that works in the breakfast area. Other than that I do not recommend it, go somewhere else!!

    It was a good experience. The room was clean, breakfast was good, staff were very attentive and friendly. I gave it 4 stars because the A/C kept going on and off during the night and the setting were fixed. the sound was very loud at night.
