Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a mix of positive and negative experiences, with a majority leaning towards dissatisfaction. Common complaints include unclean rooms, poor breakfast options, outdated facilities, and inconsistent service quality.
- Polite and helpful reception staff
- Convenient location for certain events or attractions
- Unclean and outdated rooms
- Poor breakfast options

The door had huge gaps and light came through on all sides. The bath tub needs a few cosmetic things done. Underneath the soap holder. The tv. We could not get on. The man came in. Said they unplugged it. But the remote did not work. I did not like learning on arrival that I would have a hundred held until I checked out. That needs to be upfront in the process

If you are looking for a quiet, cheap stay, this place is fine.
- 4/5
So I’ve stayed at this hotel before and I mean, I like the place it’s pretty clean and everything but my only concerns were the fact that every time I wanted to bring my husband down the hallway because he’s in a wheelchair there was a freaking laundry cart blocking the hallway and nobody around to move it and then when I went to try to move it so that I could get my husband passed it. Somebody grabbed it and said let me move in and had an attitude when they did it, there is no reason to keep a laundry cart in the hallway that it would in such a way block almost the whole hallway also, in my opinion, swimming pool needs to remodel don’t get me wrong. The water was nice, but you could tell it’s old. It needs a revamp other than that I’d stay there again

- 5/5
The staffs at the property was very helpful and let me know if anything that i required let them know
- 2/5
While I have stayed at La Quinta on and off for years, I have never stayed in one as dismal. Not worth what I paid at all. Lessons learned. My son and I travel to Tampa for concerts periodically, definitely won't stay at this hotel again. :-(.
- 4/5
Perfect location if you are going to a concert across the street at the fairgrounds.
- 4/5
Nice breakfast food wise but coffee was way to strong. Just stayed one night

There is virtual check-in as soon as you walk in the door. It is handy unless you have any special room requests. Staff is super friendly. The beds are comfortable also. The hotel is right across the street from Mid Florida Credit Union Ampitheater. Breakfast was gone by 8am.
- 5/5
Customer service was excellent. Breakfast was awesome.

Nothing it was filthy and we didnt stay Everything
- 3/5
A real shock when we had to check in with a video screen showing a person in India ! He was nice enough , but there was no one behind the desk . What if there was a problem ?? Is this what La Quinta has come to ?? Disappointed.
- 4/5
Perfect location for concert across the street

The elevator broke on day one of our stay. Three flights of stairs was not terrible to navigate for our stay but it did not get fixed during the remainder of our stay.

The elevator wasn't working and the refrigerator wasn't clean

The location was quiet and clean but dated. The elevator broke on day one of our stay. Three flights of stairs was not terrible to navigate for our stay but it did not get fixed during the remainder of our stay.

Never seen a staff in from desk but he left never seen him again ..room clean good break ok pool ok..Going to call they charge Santa Rodriguez the hotel and Sanet Reyes too she pay at the hotel not Santa Rodriguez..
- 2/5
Checked in remotely with someone at a different location. Supposedly someone on site but never saw anyone. Beds and pillows lumpy. Carpets and floors dirty. Not recommended.
- 4/5
Went for a graduation, that was directly across from the hotel. Loves the pool because the weather was hot. My son loved the breakfast.
- 3.5/5

- 4/5
Make sure the elevator works! That’s really helps.

- 3/5
However it was better than driving back to Orlando after a show.
- 2/5
This hotel is very outdated worn out. It was also overpriced for the quality of it. The rooms smell dirty. The air conditioning units need a complete overhaul. The continental breakfast was bad as the food was stale. I would never stay here again.
- 3.5/5
Did not eat Didn't eat
- 3/5
Never informed about breakfast. Older hotel.
- 3/5
Needs a lot of upgrades.
- 2/5
Room was clean. It was hard at times communicating with staff both over the phone and in person
- 2/5
I would not call this place a hotel, but rather a hostel. Check in is unusual....a virtual kiosk where the person on the screen is somewhere in India, and is extremely pushy and persistent on made up, non standard rules and policies. If I were not limited in my timing options, I would have walked out of the hostel prior to even going to the room. The hallways have an "odor" which made me question the cleanliness. The rooms were very basic, but you can tell the operator did not want to take care of the property.....the carpet was not clean and the furniture dilapidated.. as was the overall facility. I will say the bed was clean and well apportioned, although I was constantly concerned about bed bugs given the status of the rest of the room. The rooms front door does not allow for the usual swing bar security so I was nervous as to potential entry issues. The room was noisy, with banging and clicking at 430am which was loud enough to wake me...it was in the walls and from my deduction had to do with the piping and bathrooms. I question the security of the information they request ( they copy both sides of your driver's license as well as your credit card)....overall, they did not instill confidence on their honesty. Unless you are extremely limited in your financial and/or timing situation, I would seek comparable financial alternatives.
- 4/5
Nice room for the price
- 3/5
Great location. Room was okay. Elevator and hallway look very worn.
- 5/5
Great place
- 4/5
Hotel was nice , bed and pillows were comfy. Only thing I did not like was that the room smelled like cigarettes but overall everything was clean for the most part and breakfast was good!
- 2/5
My room had termites in it that were crawling on the bed. When I noticed in the morning that they were on the bed, against the window, and in my bag, staff said that would investigate the situation, but did nothing to offer compensation or ease my worries about potentially bringing termites back home. This stay is not worth more than $100 a night, even with the convenience of being across from the concert venue.
- 2/5
The ac did not work good the pool was not clean there no staff on this computer to check in
- 3/5
One thing that surprised me was the check-in process. Instead of dealing with staff at the front desk, check-in was done through a kiosk with a remote representative from India. It worked, but it felt impersonal and a little unusual if you are used to traditional hotel service. The property itself appears to need better maintenance and updating. The room was clean, which I appreciated, but there was an unpleasant smell that affected the overall comfort of the stay. In fairness, the hotel is affordable, and for travelers mainly looking for a budget-friendly place to sleep near the fairgrounds and casino area, it may still work. However, better upkeep and improved room freshness would make a big difference.
- 1/5
Remodeling outside but inside very poor shape. Our room hair dryer did not work. Beds broken down and sagging.
- 1/5
WORST La Quinta I have ever stayed in! Dirty and smelled like wet dog! My biggest complaint is the check-in process. I did a pre-check-in online which required me to upload a copy of my drivers license and provide my license plate. Doing so ensured that I would not have to provide these documents when I checked in, making the process faster. Once I got to the hotel, there was only a virtual kiosk to check in, which was very slow, and there was a line of people. When I rang the bell at the front desk, Someone did appear, and then demanded I show all of the documentation that I had already provided during the online check-in process. That only was I annoyed, he was rude.
- 4/5
Nice CB place and clez
- 4/5
Breakfast items were frequently out of stock, seems like they were short of staff. Room was satisfactory. Pool needed cleaned. Location was perfect for our event at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
- 4/5
Everything was ok,but no meat for breakfast
- 3/5
I’m so severely disappointed, total waste of money to pay extra for a pool you can’t use. The room was not very clean, strangers hairs all over the room, my husband refused to use their shower because of how dirty and run down it looked Toilet stopped up from just peeing, and the shower soaked the floor I hope they get this place fixed up and can maintain it Getting so hard to find decent hotels
- 4/5
Good
- 2/5
Dirty
- 1/5
Toilet wouldn't flush, maintenance wouldn't fix it, the bathtub had a huge hole in the center covered by a tarp of some sort, booked a king room and was given a double bed room due to "maintenance". Apparently maintenance didn't include working plumbing. Don't stay at this s-hole!
- 1/5
Wouldnt recommend staying here. Rooms and facility are extremely outdated. Rooms are dirty, bathrooms are disgusting and there was a constant smell of marijuana. Front desk staff (only 2 real people the rest were on a virtual screen) were decent but housekeeping was rude. Breakfast was ok but not great and no variety
- 1/5
Worst place to stay they wouldn't even save the room I paid for as a reseration...not right!!
- 3/5
This place is pretty decent. Definitely not like the pictures since they are seemingly doing renovations. All of the windows are taped. If you're not too worried about a motel-like experience and just want a place to crash, it's perfect for you. If you're looking for a great stay, breakfast, pool, and whats-not, somewhere else would be better. For what we paid, a two night stay here was just okay. We came for the BTS concert, enjoyed ourselves, and had a decent stay here.
- 5/5
It was a great stay by far
- 3/5
The property needs some TLC
- 4/5
Toilet kept running every 10 minutes but the Bed and pillows were clean and comfortable
- 4/5
Clean rooms, decent for price. Would stay again
- 1/5
This place was absolutely disgusting. We never stayed there. Plastic covered all the windows. The place was filthy. They didn’t even have a front desk person. It was AI through a computer. We left and didnt stay and two other couples that had booked there also left and never stayed. This hotel should not be recommended by Expedia.
- 1/5
This was the worst hotel I have ever seen. It was disgustingly filthy. I sent pictures to Hotels.com. However they did not respond. I had to leave the property along with friends that we met there. I asked for a full refund. Hotels.com should not promote this hotel. I am beyond disappointed and frankly quite angry that they would keep this hotel on their website!
- 5/5
Nice room in an older hotel. I needed a room for one night and this was good enough for that.
- 1/5
Everything jus terrible, after u pay for yo room u still gotta pay a 100$ to check in yo room, they are money hungry
- 1/5
Pool looked like a prison pool. The shower didn’t work at all, & the bed had stains.
- 1/5
They required me to put down 100 dollars for the stay which was not originally stated. They than made me pay for late check out and proceeded to enter the room 4 times after I had paid. About an hour before check out the water was completely shut off. I couldn’t brush my teeth go to the bathroom or shower prior to leaving! With no advisory from the staff despite constantly encroaching on my privacy and already paid room. They never cleaned when we were not there. The staff was rude and not helpful in any way. I’m furious about this and want a full refund for the disgusting and disastrous stay!
- 2/5
When you walk in you have to check in at a kiosk. There is only one and there were 4 or 5 people waiting to check in. This hotel has not been updated in a long time. The hallways smell. Our room had popcorn ceilings which had been partially scraped off. The hotel manager is not on site and not in the United States.
- 3/5
The place was under construction.
- 2/5
terrible
- 5/5
Refrigerator on the floor, TV control broken,Swiming pool dirty,The checking screen is horrible n loud
- 5/5
It was a perfect stay in a perfect hotel!
- 4/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
I enjoyed it
- 1/5
Room bathtub very old and dirty
- 1/5
Very dirty, terrible service location very bad and very old bathtub very dirty and old hallway, dirty
- 4/5
But room was clean overall
- 4/5
The checkin with the virtual process took too much time.
- 2/5
Clean enough to sleep and shower. No real staff present and a very old and outdated hotel.
- 3/5
Hallway wasn’t vacuumed in the four days we were there. No one came in our room AT ALL. No clean towels. Most of the time there wasn’t anyone at the desk; check in was via kiosk. No security. They locked the door at 9 PM, so I guess that’s something…
- 2/5
They really need to upgrade this place ! Breakfast was not good at all and coffee was like water! With that the need to lower there prices! Hope this helps!!
- 3/5
The hotel is in need of a paint job, repair a/c to blow colder air, and make some other interior upgrades. However, it was close to the interstate, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby.
- 2/5
It wasn’t the worst but for what I paid I expected a little better
- 1/5
The bathroom was not very clean. Got stuck in the elevator, staff needed to get us out. The elevator was then broken. A staff member tried entering our room in the middle of the night!!
- 2/5
Run down
- 4/5
Nice place 💋
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
It wasn't that bad , the problem we had was they advertised having an open pool but they didn't it was empty. Also we found some pest in the bedroom. Cucarachas in one of the bedrooms
- 2/5
Room was clean. Had a funny smell. Didn't like the smell. Needed air freshener in room
- 1/5
No hot water in any room so couldn't shower
- 3/5
Okay
- 3/5
Needed plants on exposed dirt. Building needed pressure washing. Toilet clogged up.
- 2/5
Breakfast was basic but fine for the star rating. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool was clean. Unfortunately there was no hot water one morning. The staff did not know how to identify that the boiler was not on (feel the pipes!!) and needed advice to check if there was gas in the reservoir. It seems it was supposed to be replenished the prior day but did not happen and they were unaware. Even when the gas had been restored, the manager had no idea and continued to advise that they were doing everything they could to resolve the issue. Support from Hotels.com was way below expectations too.
- 3/5
NO personal contact upon check-in, I spoke to a Computer Screen, as well on check out. I had a complain about the TV was set to Spanish and I wasn't able to change it, walked to the Front desk, spoke with someone on a PC Screen, was told to hit bell on front desk, a young man came, I explained him my problem, he asked for room number but NEVER showed up. For 2 people there were 1 small shampoo and 1 small conditioner. Breakfast was NOT great at all and very little to choose from, at least not to the standards I am used to from hotels same price or rating class. Place is really outdated and needs a good remodeling and cleaning. Lots of dust or dirt in our room on lamps or floors. No bathroom mat, you had to use a towel. 1 Outlet for everything but only by the Bathroom Vanity, the other only Outlet by the bed had the cover missing/broken and was laying on the floor under the bed. No USB charging outlet. Most staff was not visible to us beside 1 young lady that helped us out when we had car problems and was very friendly. Did NOT used pool, it was across parking lot.
- 2/5
There was a virtual person on a screen who checked you in, awful smell in the room, absolutely NO hot water and the bed felt like it was broken in half. Thank goodness I was only there for 2 nights!
- 5/5
Had a great weekend at this property. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Kids had fun at the pool.
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
Poor review due to: No staff, just image of someone on kiosk both checking in and out. Weird feeling, didn’t seem safe since no one working was actually visible onsite. Facility not maintained especially in entrance lobby dining areas. Dim lighting, felt very low budget. Did not look like other la Quinta inns I’ve stayed in. They did have nice linen I.e. towels and wash cloths.very overpriced for what was provided, poor breakfast selection, seemed like we were at someone’s house and not a restaurant type atmosphere, not clean in appearance.
- 2/5
Can def use a renovation. Staff very good
- 3/5
Breakfast was aweful. Cold egg and grreasy sausage.
- 1/5
Entire hotel is outdated. Room smelled like mold, but I was able to move to another room. New room had an odd smell but wasn’t as bad as previous room. Pillow case had black substance on it. TV stand had huge holes in it. Overall I wouldn’t stay there ever again. Need new owners and a good remodel.
- 3/5
Everybody was super nice I enjoyed 😉

Place was nasty
- 5/5
A very nice and friendly staff. I was attending an event at the State Fair Grounds. This location was so convenient.
- 5/5
Room was clean and modern. No bad smells and hotel altho looking a little dated was very modern and the breakfast buffet was good.
- 5/5
Every thing it good.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff (mostly interacted with Sam). We stayed in the King Suite and it was a large room, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Advertised a "Continental Breakfast" but surprisingly, in addition to the "Continental Breakfast, the also served hot eggs & sausage! Very unexpected and very good!
- 2/5
The room was not as clean as one would expect. There was dark matter on the bathroom wall to the right of the toilet and the floor left our socks visibly dirty. Wall electrical socket plate was also uncovered. Towels were not readily available. The room needs to be electronically updated. I will not book here again.
- 3/5
You don't check in w a guy in an electronic box. MOVE that box! It sits directly on front of the automatic doors & was a mere 26 degrees in FL. There were 6 people ahead of us in line and the artic blasts of 26 degrees was grueling. With 5 min of planning and re-arranging furniture, those checking in will not be popsicles while waiting 20-30 min to Check In. The exterior road signage is completely absent. There is a row of chain hotels across from the Florida State Fairgrounds, yet La Quintas hasn't coughed up the funds to get 2 pieces of plastic made, why? During the daylight hours if you're paying attention or have addl people in your vehicle, play "Find the 1 La Quinta Sign,". It is on the bdlg, top right hand corner hidden by trees from the road. When dark you're going to have to solely rely on GPS coordinates as it announces "200 feet ahead, 100 feet ahead then you've arrived" because the motel is pitch black dark. I mentioned to the Gentleman working that the exterior sign was not lit - he merely smiled in return. The room was acceptable, hallway has carts of ? left in them and narrow. We had to get maintenance as my Uncle's shower didn't function at all, so an hour delay leaving. I didn't try mine since I just wanted to leave...and cease dealing w yet another malfunction. I poured batter into waffle maker, timer read 2:30 yet I could flip it this way or that way, timer mechanism dead. I told Shift Mgr - he just smiled. 100% off-site MGMT in Ft Myers!
- 3/5
It was ok. I don’t like that check was via the computer with someone on a screen. I felt like everyone could be in your business and then also it’s been almost a week and the hold for incidentals still has not been released so that’s annoying.
- 2/5
Room was very musty mildewed smell, just AWFUL I had to buy spray to spray it down , that bathroom bathtub was AWFUL also, I have photos to show the proof, they should be ashamed of themselves, I need a FULL REFUND!!!! Ugh!!!
- 3/5
Roach was in the room
- 5/5
Employees are welcoming and very helping!
- 3/5
Staff are friendly, but the room could use some work. The towel rack fell down, and the carpet didn't look clean. My biggest concern was no place to recycle, and if it's a hotel across from the Fair Grounds, it would be nice to have a safe place to cross the street. Three major hotels in a row could work together to make a safe crossing.
- 3/5
Hotel needs improvement from lobby to rooms
- 1/5
The room smelled so bad, it just looked like a motel very run down we we woke up in the morning we seen a baby roach, I was so disgusted and disappointed never again
- 2/5
Place is pretty run down. Check in is done virtually. Ive stayed at multiple La Quintas and they have always been really nice. Outside needs painting, sign for the road is in shambles, missing lights and letters. Bathroom was pretty dirty. It just gave me this entire cringe feeling like i was a role in a horror movie with everything. Its really ashame because its in the middle of 2 nice hotels.
- 2/5
Old outdated needs refreshed
- 4/5
Courteous staff
- 2/5
Terrible check in. No chair to sit on in room. Terrible breakfast. But great location for state fair area.
- 1/5
Old. Dirty.
- 2/5
How absolutely ridiculous that you check-in and out at a kiosk. The person you speak to with the kiosk doesn’t speak good English so it is hard to understand, making the process harder. The price wasn’t worth the stay. Breakfast, rubbery eggs, soy flavored sausage, hard bagels, and nasty cereal, was mediocre at best. Room 201 was not bad, needs updated. The smell in hotel was musty. Overall, not worth 202.00 per night.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, breakfast was OK, Had variety.
- 5/5
Across the street from the fairgrounds
- 1/5
Noice from next room Breakfast on the second day was lacking Bathroom was in need of redoing
- 1/5
Room had roaches.... We had the front desk person come to the room to see and he agreed that it was roaches.
- 3/5
A little out dated and very basic
- 1/5
This place is old and nasty. Was walking down the hallways dirty not clean got in my room smelled like pot building needs to be renovated comforter with stain spend the other $50 and go to the Holiday Inn or the Hampton next-door. Very, very disappointing the lady cleaning the rooms in the morning was pleasant.
- 5/5
Yes, evening was perfect
- 1/5
also why would the water be shut off when guest are trying to get ready to leave.
- 5/5
Clean room near casino .
- 3/5
Staff was very helpful beside we had issue with elevator not working good so we had to move to first floor also people that stay there had no repect for orther people trying to sleep in the middle of the night I won’t be staying here any more will go back to my hotel exendent inn
- 4/5
The good: the front desk personnel were very helpful but one of the housekeepers had an attitude when asked about the room. One of the highlights was the complementary breakfast, which was made up of scrambled eggs, sausage,
- 4/5
Was clean but run down. They were super friendly though
- 4/5
La habitación limpia y espaciosa!! El aire enfría bien el personal atento.. y la devolución del depósito rápido el mismo día!!
- 2/5
The facility is way overdue for upgrades. Bathrooms are disgusting. Carpets are dirty. Mattresses must be 15 years old couldn’t get a good nights sleep. I never complain, but I had to leave early because I couldn’t sleep there a second night. So I cut my trip short that’s how uncomfortable it was.
- 4/5
The Self Check-In Was Inconvenient.
- 1/5
The room had a smell
- 1/5
I never even got to stay here . I’ve been fighting for a refund
- 2/5
Don’t recommend, dirty hallways, elevator out of service, not close to anything. Don’t fall for the lowest cheap price, it’s a 1 bedroom on a child size bed.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. Room needs repair but was clean.
- 1/5
The elevator does not work properly. The room they gave me was dirty, and I had to ask to be moved. The breakfast was terrible.
- 5/5
Location was very convenient for me facility very nice clean

- 3/5
The hotel could be better in cleanliness and having to use a kiosk to check in with live person, not for me
- 5/5
Great for a 1 night stay
- 3/5
The room no smell good
- 5/5
The excellent service!
- 3/5
The room and hotel was okay, fairly clean and well kept. The staff seems friendly and all was of Indian descent. The only negative is the traffic noise, since the hotel is closed to and faces the main road. I would recommend and rent again
- 5/5
My room was meticulously clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend any of my family or friends to stay. Thank you so much for making my stay in Tampa amazing!!
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and courteous; rooms were clean and adequate.
- 4/5
My room was clean the staff was friendly, the breakfast was great.
- 2/5
On the positive side, breakfast is free and was edible. The king bed was comfortable. Not the worst hotel in the area but definitely wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than one night here. But again, you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
Clean room and good staff
- 1/5
Staff was nice, but the rooms have a horrible mildew like smell. Not just one, but several. While I was trying to switch to another room someone else was trying to do the same thing
- 1/5
The room smelled horrible, the staff didn’t speak much English, breakfast was horrible. Very disappointed
- 3/5
Its was a place to sleep
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff
- 1/5
I will be writing a letter to La Quinta by Wyndham Corp. and Expedia Corp. in the next few days to advise them of the deplorable premises and stay. Pictures & video(s) of the property to follow.
- 3/5
The cost was low, but definitely over paid. I think someone at some point peed on the floor And it wasn’t cleaned.
- 2/5
Everything was ok
- 3/5
Affordable and safe
- 2/5
That said, the 4 day stay ended up okay as The Staff accommodated Us very well. Thanks Staff!!! Good Job and The Entire Crew!
- 4/5
Clean room
- 2/5
The man at the front desk tried to find us the best room for us. He was very considerate and helped all he could. The ice machine was broke, the bathmat in the shower was very slick for my handicap Friend. I would say you get what you pay for in this hotel. It looks like they are trying to remodel, but it doesn’t look like they’re doing it the right way.
- 4/5
Was a weird smell in our room, we had to refresh it with spray we bought. Beds were nice, didnt hear any outside noise, and breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Room was clean
- 3/5
Not the cleanest hotel and fairly outdated furniture
- 1/5
Dirt, dingy, t.v. didnt work, went to call the front, phone didnt work. Front desk guy was to involved with his cell phone to even come check. Front desk cluttered and stacked with stuff. Dead palm tree out front, half the sign isnt lit. Zero amenities, not even the basics. Breakfast was bread or sugared bread. Just run down, needs new management and a complete tear down and rebuild.
- 1/5
does not apply
- 3/5
2nd room was ok as far as clean. Not great, but ok. Mattresses were old and lump as well as the pillows and carpet was not real clean. But it was convenient to were we needed to be. We wanted walking distance to the amphitheater and it was right across the street. Also needed a pet friendly hotel. Now, the 1st room was dirty, as well as old mattresses and pillows. The bathroom was also not very clean. I killed five roaches before having a fit and having them move me. The 2nd room at least had no roaches. Next time I would pay more attention to the reviews and not just opt for location. For 150.00 a night, I expected better. Not the Ritz of course, just better. The ice machine also dud not work. The outside of the property was also filthy with trash everwhere. Broken lights and lawn was not maintained. I will definitely not use this place again. At least the staff was nice.....
- 4/5
It wasnt luxury but the room was clean enough, clean sheets, clean showers, the pool looked clean. The best thing was the complimentary breakfast, cereal, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee

my wife and I stayed here on Oct 17th thru 18th 2025.At first when pulling into the property seeing the condition outside, we had second and 3rd thoughts about going to another property. After checking in and entering the hotel it smelled very clean and looked clean the staff were extremely nice.We went to our room and it was spotless had everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable had the best sleep in yrs no noice and very peacfull will stay again and agin thank you
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and nice. The room itself could use some updating.
- 4/5
Staff friendly. Room are cleaned only noticed the toilet too low like kid toilet. Above all we’re coming back
- 4/5
The room as clean but the smell of the room as horrible , great place just that 1 room was a problem
- 3/5
It needs to smell like a clean room.
- 2/5
The shower didn’t work and there was a cockroach in my room
- 5/5
It was great
- 2/5
Smelled like weed in hall way and could smell inside at night
- 3/5
The room was clean, but the air-conditioning did not work very well at all. Had it down on 68 and we sweat most of the night.
- 2/5
Wouldn’t stay again.
- 4/5
We stayed here for a quick overnight stop to enjoy the Hard Rock casino. The front desk and check in was pleasant and very quick. The hotel is older and shows her wear and tear. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable for what we needed for one night. Breakfast was good as well. The eggs were hot and cooked nicely. My husband enjoyed the sausage patties and of course a hot waffle on the griddle was delicious. No luxury here but for a quick place to lay your head for a night conveniently located and a great price, it was a good choice.

Cost effective. Clean. Quiet. Convenient from the fairgrounds

- 4/5
In general the place is clean and comfortable, breakfasts was good, the only thing in my bedrooms is was the light in the bathrooms it was to dark and the door from the border it was broke but everything else itcwas good the front desk it was on top really good attention I definitely will stay agan.

Great location if you are going to a concert. Staff are always friendly, rooms are clean!

Shower and bathtub do not work!!
- 2/5
Hotel very dated and in rough condition….
- 4/5
Very well clean 👌
- 1/5
DISGUSTING! BED BUGS! DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH YOUR ROOM ONCE YOU CHECK IN!
- 4/5
Was convenient
- 4/5
Location and across from FL fairgrounds
- 5/5
The room was fully clean to include the bathroom. They have a good staff on duty and the breakfast had great selections. I highly recommend!
- 4/5
Clean room, Breakfast
- 4/5
Tired property with minor issues everywhere. Over all room was clean.
- 1/5
My room smelled really bad! I told the front desk and ask to change rooms and was not allowed to
- 3/5
The location
- 1/5
The king bed in the room we stayed in was 2 twins together, the was a metal thing on the side of the bed that my spouse got hurt when he initially got in bed. We followed this terrible smell that was also the bottom of the mattress. And it definitely gives the vibes of hidden camera’s. This is probably the most trashy la Quinta I’ve stayed in..
- 5/5
Convenient location for Busch. Pool was green, rooms smelled damp and musky, 4night stay our room was not serviced. We had to bring our own garbage to the lobby and request toilet paper.
- 2/5
As soon as you walk into the door it smelt like mildew and was hot. The computer system went down so we waited 30 mins plus to get checked in, when the worker said it could take up to five hours to restart. Asked to have my stay canceled cause I needed to be somewhere and get ready. They said they would cancel it but never did.
- 1/5
Staff are students and very accommodating, Maybe not all but most. Pool was locked. Deposit $100. Only returned $80. No convenient store only a very high priced gas station. I would only recommend it if you were there for an event held at The Florida Fairgrounds which is directly across the road. Travel is by taxi service I would advise to just ensure you allot a minimum of $80 a day.
- 2/5
BATH ROOM NEEDS UPGRADE. ON LINE STATES PET FRIENDLY - UPON ARRIVAL WAS TOLD IT MUST BE A SERVICE - CHARGED $25. I'LL NEVER GO BACK
- 1/5
The hotel smelt DISGUSTING as soon as we walked in. Our room smelt like mildew and our air conditioning didn’t even work. Made a comment the first night and no one did anything! We had to go buy a fan from Walmart because they didn’t move us or refund us. After more complaints they finally sent someone to fix it and it was so broken they had to totally replace it. Keep in mind, this was in mid may in Florida… Our sheets felt greasy and like they had a film, bought my own sheets and blanket.. our shower had visible dirt in it. Our fridge didn’t work. Our tv went in and out.
- 3/5
The rooms themselves are basic but functional—clean enough, comfortable beds, and all the essentials. Nothing fancy, but you get what you need for a quick stay. There’s also an outdoor pool, though it seemed more like an extra perk than a highlight, as it could use a little more attention on upkeep. Overall, this is not a luxury spot, but for convenience to the fairgrounds and casino, it’s hard to beat. If your goal is a place to crash after a concert or night out, this hotel definitely does the job.
- 5/5
It was a good stay, good breakfast...pool could have used some cleaning.
- 5/5
Perfect for what we were looking for. Concert across the street.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay BUT the breakfast could use improvements
- 2/5
I didn't like the dirty pool floor, and the musky smell in the room. Had to go the Walmart to buy a air fresher, to clear the air.
- 4/5
La Quinta is not a luxurious hotel; but it is a cheap, cozy, SMOKE-FREE environment if you're passing through Tampa. I came to Tampa for work and didn't want to pay alot of money for a hotel stay. La Quinta was that place. They also provide a complimentary breakfast starting at 7am; serving waffles, eggs, sausage, coffee, etc. Their are plenty of nearby restaurants and about a 7 minute drive to the Hard Rock Casino. So, if you're in the area and need a place to lie your head down for a night or two without being over charged, check out La Quinta by Wyndham Tampa Fairgrounds - Casino.
- 4/5
It was a good low cost and convenient place for me as a solo traveler. This night was quiet and not a lot of traffic. Don’t know if u would bring my kids to this location but I wasn’t concerned while moving about that night.

Perfect proximity to the fairgrounds. Comfortable room, clean and great value for the price.
- 3/5
It was okay butneeds updating in the rooms.
- 1/5
Between the bed and AC unit the worst night of sleep I can remember. The afternoon staff did not know how to make coffee in lobby. The clientele is something to be desired hence all the garbage in the parking area. This property needs major renovation.
- 4/5
Place is ok to stay, fair for the price paid.
- 3/5
Great experience, convienient location to the concert across the street. My only complaints were the outlets in the room not working or being sort of hard to get to work it’s like they were off center and my plugs wouldn’t stay in them. Secondly our ac unit made an unpleasant noise while running and constantly shut off and came back on so I don’t feel like I slept the whole night through. All in all I feel like I’d definitely stay again if I attended another concert.
- 3/5
If it wasn’t across from the venue and I can walk, I won’t bother. Don’t waste your money if you don’t have to. Find somewhere else
- 5/5
The room was really nice and clean good stay if your looking for a quick visit!
- 3/5
The stay was fine but I felt rushed by having a staff person knock on my door reminding me of the 11 am check out. People know what time check-out is at hotels so there is no need for staff to be knocking on your door as a reminder. Outside of that, I had no issues.

I arrived and dropped my clothes off before heading out to a concert at Amalie area. I arrived back after 11pm to shower and get ready for bed. I got into the shower and it made popping sounds like it was breaking. I thought I was going yo fall through to the 2nd floor. When I looked out into the bathroom there was water all over the floor so I think the tub was also leaking. There was a pad on the floor of the tub that looks like a patch job. I got out and hung up my clothes, the closet area was dusty and dirt. The chair next to the bed was frayed, but I was exhausted and just wanted to go to bed after the stressful shower. I got on the bed and pulled back the comforter but I noticed the top of the comforter looked dirty. I turned the lights back on and there were hundreds of bugs on the comforter. When I saw movement I started sweating as. knew I had to GET OUT! I asked the front desk for a refund and they refused saying I should have said something hours before but I wasn’t aware that I needed to co duct a Department of Health inspection and a full plumbing work over before I went to my concert. They told me they were unable to do a refund, that their hands were tied. That only the 3rd party app could do it. I contacted Expedia customer service and they told me only the hotel could do it. After getting escalated to someone who clearly didn’t understand why a HEALTH HAZARD was my red line, I determined that I will most likely need to issue a chargeback.

This hotel needs to be renovated. The lady at the front desk took her time to for ever to. Help me in pretending she was doing something else that I’m sure could it wait.. not making me wait. Four people at the front desk and I waited. Tables at the lobby were dirty.
- 2/5
Trying to up charge on everything
- 5/5
Thank you for good service.Very nice hotel.Room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Property inside and outside needs updating.
- 3/5
Great location for what I was doing. It was right across the street from the venue. The pool needed a cleaning and the bathroom needs a renovation. Breakfast was decent but it was the same everyday. The beds were very comfortable and I think the compressor started going out on the ac.
- 5/5
Great sleep for a last min emergency late check in.
- 1/5
Room is substandard, carpet look & feel dirty, walls are stained, vanity sink is cracked, rusted & dirty, toilet paper holder is rusted & dirty. There are no electrical outlets near the desk & bed to plug your devices.
- 4/5
It was an older hotel but even so it was very welcome very very nice in the inside and the people that worked there were really nice
- 3/5
For the price, I expected much better quality. The location is convenient—close to the concert venue and surrounded by many hotels—but this one was disappointing. It looked much nicer online, but in person it’s clearly very worn down. When we took a shower, it felt like the bathtub was about to collapse beneath us. Our king-size bed also sagged badly in the middle, making it really uncomfortable to sleep. Overall, not worth what we paid.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Staff was nice. Pool was not clean at all. Afraid to use it. Elevator broken. I like to stay here because of the convenience for events at the fairgrounds.
- 3/5
Very quiet, short distance from concerts
- 4/5
Average hotel stay, great staff.
- 3/5
My wife and I stayed one night for Stick Figure concert. Right across the street from Amphitheater, can’t beat that. My wife and I got drunk, lol and passed out once we got back.
- 5/5
Nice welcoming, great breakfast options but the facility needs some updating. The staff was very helpful.
- 4/5
The elevator was really old like it needed maintenance. Old carpet.
- 4/5
Came to see a show, 3rd time, always a great place to stay for that, not a long walk to venue
- 3/5
My room was musty and everything was covered in dust. There was a hair stuck to the shower wall that wasn’t mine.
- 5/5
The whole experience was wonderful. Comfy beds, good breakfast and coffee. It was a short distant walk to our concert and the ac blew cold cold when we got back. It was a great little hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was helpful, the room was clean and tidy, pool was great, breakfast was delicious. Overall a great hotel for our vacation.
- 3/5
The coffee and egg breakfast was very good, but the beds need updating. The sink is not behind closed doors, so you will interrupt your companion with the lighting. The tub was nice and clean. And the towels were good. I do wish that the TV was mounted to the wall to provide easier watching from bed and more floor or counter space for luggage. Please add a lugguage rack.
- 1/5
I never leave bad reviews but this hotel was terrible. The room was musty, and the carpet was damp and gross. And the reason I rented a room is because my mom is in the hospital and all I wanted was a good night sleep and a hot shower. I got neither.
- 2/5
We had no hot water
- 5/5
The staff was exceptional!
- 1/5
The building is rundown and dated. I was surprised this was a La Quinta Inn. The staff at check in was nice though and it was clean.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent!
- 4/5
It was a nice stay
- 5/5
Looks like the property suffered storm damage and it has not been repaired. Staff was friendly professional and helpful.
- 3/5
Need a renovation ASAP
- 3/5
Room service was 1 day out of 5. Physical plant is showing wear and tear, but very convenient to our needs and very nice personnel. Great for dog owners
- 2/5
I did not like the water in the warmer by the breakfast area. That looked so bad.
- 1/5
Stayed here bc it was directly across from the fairgrounds! First room we checked into was filthy, with bugs in the bathroom and black hairs on the floor in the tub and on the bedding. The window would not close. 2nd room was none better with a dirty sticky fridge, hairs in the bathroom, cobwebs with spiders hanging from the smoke alarm to wall, crumbs with debris under the TV and by the microwave. The refrigerator looked like it had never been cleaned out. It was sticky still with debris inside. There were crumbs and debris on carpets. Never again! The elevator felt like you were going to drop each time you entered. Not what i was anticipating for a stay.
- 1/5
Room was full of termites. Replacement room had no hot water in sink or shower. Asked front desk to fix and nothing was done.
- 2/5
Pool is very dirty and green and closes at 6 pm , the toilet in the room won’t flush unless you hold the handle down the whole time
- 1/5
Thought I'd stay here for one night and go to the Hard Rock casino nearby. This place is scary. I checked out 10 minutes after I checked in.
- 3/5
It was okay, outdated, not a spectacular place, but convenient for us for what we were doing.
- 1/5
Nothing. Horrible. Run down. Smells bad. At least the bed sheets where clean.
- 3/5
Expensive, room has mildew smell. Sink has slow drainage.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Very quiet also The price was right Good breakfast. Friendly front desk
- 4/5
Perfect place to stay for a concert at the fairgrounds that is directly across the street.
- 1/5
Very disappointed, not up to the standard of a typical La Quinta Inn property. The tub in the room needs to be replaced, has been repaired several times, not clean around nonslip mat. Pool was full of leaves and green slim on bottom unusable nothing like the photo. The large sign roadside is missing probably from the last hurricane, over 2 years ago Hard to find. The doors need to be replaced or painted dirty scuff marks. Dust on lamp shades Main door to room did not latch when we left the room unless you pulled it shut, did not realize this, it looked closed but was not latched so our room was left unlocked the 1st time we left. one of the sink basins is cracked, not leaking but just looks bad. and probably not sanitary holding microbial growth in the crack? There were two I believe fire detectors with bad batteries that made a chirping sound every 3-5 minutes, made it difficult to go back to sleep after waking in middle of night. Will not stay at this property again.
- 3/5
From the Mid Florida Credit Union Amphitheater, the La Quinta is in close walking distance. Stayed one night. Noticed while walking back to room in the late evening after the concert, small moth like insects in/around the hallway light fixtures. Didn’t bother me- it’s Florida & bugs get in. The next morning, however, we found several of those same insects in the bed that we had just slept in, deep inside the covers. It was an undesirable sight to wake to… even took photos. Based on convenience, it was a reasonable choice. If I was a person who panics around bugs, it would have been horrible.
- 4/5
Very good!
- 3/5
Pool was dirty
- 1/5
The whole place is run down & dirty. Bad area with sketchy people wandering the grounds. Breakfast food was cold.
