Reviews
The hotel has a great location and some friendly staff, but many guests have complained about the cleanliness, outdated rooms, and poor service. The air conditioning, parking, and extra fees are also frequent issues.

Hotel under construction, no chairs on balcony.
- 2/5
Property was advertised as having a pool. Extensive construction going on on the property. There was no access to the pool. We had a difficult time finding the entrance of the property as the sign was poorly visible and have to enter through the parking garage. Lost a lot of time finding the entrance. Front desk clerk was very abrupt and did not offer any remorse in regards to amenities being unavailable. It was like whatever

We needed wash clothes and they stayed out both nights !! Fire alarm keep going off as I would blow dry my hair! Rediculous!! Try to shower and hot water is scorching hot!! Have to turn down to almost no water to get it not to not be scorching HOT !Dated place. Great views! Just need to some major overhaul! Staff was doing their job!

Disappointed most amenities in the hotel were under construction.

Trashed.

My room on the 8th floor smelled like wet carpet as soon as I entered. The room was outdated and looked nothing like the photos online. The balcony appeared unsafe, and I was uncomfortable even stepping onto it. The dresser had a sticky substance running down the front, and there were gnats flying around the room. When I called the front desk, I was initially told there was no manager available. After insisting and waiting in the lobby for about 20 minutes, a staff member provided a zero-balance receipt and advised that the $569 hold on my card would be released. I was originally told there was nothing in writing they could provide and that I could simply leave. I understand renovations happen, but the current condition of this property is far beyond a minor inconvenience. The online photos do not accurately reflect reality, and this was nowhere near a four-star experience. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for business travelers.

This was by far the worst stay. Went to see family. The room was dirty and the tub did not drain. Standing in water as I showered was disgusting. The pool was under construction which I was not aware of. Ice was minimal, when I asked for ice, received only a small bag. The fridge was not working properly to keep items cold. When viewing the amenities online, looked beautiful. However, the construction was terrible, waking up to hammering and construction going on was a disappointment. I would not recommend the property to anyone. I felt like I was mislead when booking my stay.

The view from our room was amazing!! Check in was seamless and easy. They have a lot of construction going on at the moment so that makes a big difference in the stay. Parking and arrival is a little challenging but once the construction is complete it will be an amazing place to stay. The location is great for any downtown events.

Excellent location pleasant staff

The location and balcony view Everything else was bad. The hotel is under a heavy renovation. It should not be on the market. I felt robbed or scammed. I paid $256 for one night in a place with almost no amenities. No pool, no gym, no lobby. The room was outdated, to say the least. The bathroom was filthy. Carpet stained. Balcony is like a cheap motel. I don't know. At least they should charge half or third of the original price.
- 3.5/5
The hotel is in a convenient location for downtown activities. Its walkable to Benchmark arena and the Riverwalk is a nice scenic way to get around. The hotel was under renovation, so we could not use the pool. The restaurant was also closed, but they had a little area for food. The bar was open, but only one person working. Too many people waiting so we left.

Great stay

When I checked in my first room (riverfront w/ balcony) had a great view of the river but also peeling ceiling paint and sporadic WIFI (would connect and then disconnect - 2 bars then 5 min later 0 bars). I asked for another room and they accommodated with a bigger room (for more money) but facing the street. WIFI was back but the room was in worse disrepair with 4 inches of paint peel and extremely loud street-side noise from exhaust-tuned cars throughout the night. Also during my first morning a false fire alarm was sounded. Again, the place is going through needed renovations and the room price somewhat reflected that but I would wait until the renovations are completed before I would consider visiting this hotel again.

Great location!!

I booked a king room with river view and a patio 2 1/2 months ago pre-paid. I moved the date 1 day forward through Expedia a month before check in. First I showed up to a construction nightmare at the hotel. Pool closed, restaurant closed, makeshift bar. No parking, then when I checked in my room was not available! No record of my changing my reservation. I had to settle for a standard double bed room without a patio street view. I was never refund for the large price difference as the clerk said I would be. Not a pleasant experience!

Had a good view of the canal There was lots of construction, going on nowhere to park sheets were torn on bed and trash left in the room

The hotel is under construction and no pool available and lots of worker around you are not able to use the outdoor areas. I decided for water view but from the balcony you can see all the construction on the propriety. Staff was nice and great and the room was clean. We enjoy the gym.

Checked in & Checked right back out!! The whole place is under construction, no pool, no outside bar, the room smelled Old, there was black mold noted on the cabinet where the refrigerator was stored, sliding glass door had to.screen on it & the glass was cracked!! DISGUSTING!!! Hotel.com fought for my money back!! Receptionist was a snot!!
- 1/5
I'm sure it would be fine after renovating but now. the first floor is a concrete zone. sent a email about no pool, food or fitness ont the way to the hotel, dust, room was in a bad conditon. microwave breakfast sandwich for 12 dollars. staff did what they could but. bottom 3 worst hotels ever.and the other two had bullet proof glass in the lobby.
- 3/5
Not knowing of all of the construction going on. No pool, Ice machines not on the floor.
- 5/5
Amazing I love to stay in that hotel
- 1/5
The room was horrible! Smelled like throw up as soon as you got off the elevator. The room was dirty, dead bugs, stains on sheets, etc. the only thing good was the hotel staff were very helpful in getting me a refund.
- 1.5/5
There was a nice view There was a lot of construction going on at the property. The noise at times was too loud, there was no pool as it was part of the construction. The hotel next door allowed us to utilize their pool however that pool was dirty and cloudy.

The staff was inadequate in offering any help or Accommodations after charging my card 3 times the amount that the rooms actually cost I was asked to just use another card because the Apple Card came up as a different transaction number than the actual tangible card. Was told the money would be sent back in 2-3 days but just hand over another card to she can change and hold an additional $659 on that to stay in a $170/night room for 2 days is laughable to think a patron would be fine to fork over $1200 total in room charges and holds for a $445 stay. I hope no one traveling to this location ever has to deal with the non-existent professionalism and weak team effort they had to offer. If this is the best they can do, then I’d recommend you take your money to neighboring hotel where there would actually appreciate your business. Of course I was told by the woman at the front desk that she is in fact “the manager” makes this even more unfortunate. Good luck

The property is in construction. Very noisy. Not a good experience. The Hotel was very expensive. Not worthy for the money that we paid

Nothing Everything Vallet over priced Staff was rude Had to change rooms Construction Keys were left out car running at vallet stand for over 10minutes which I have video of with no staff in sight. Pool was closed with no acknowledgment of that not posted on website. The second day we were there they shut the water off in the whole building for 5 hrs Charged 100$ a day for deposit Then 94$ after leaving for what? Didnt buy anything or damage the room worst stay ever. Online shows smart tvs but none of the apps work in two different rooms. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE.

Having the construction going on, I was expecting a little more service-oriented approach to the customer. Hotel didn't look fully booked at all. Breakfast was really a joke (coffee, fridge with drinks and sandwich) and the rooms way overdated (definitively a renovation needed). We booked 4 people in a 2 queen bed room, but only had 2 towels and the 1 old sink... again, definitively a renovation needed. Hotel location is very good, too bad the current service and uncomfortable renovation happening. Not a 4* level and way overpriced in my opinion.
- 3/5
Renovation in progress so it was just a room with no amenities. Parking at $44 was ridiculous. Too expensive.
- 2/5
Renovations were happening. I would not have booked this hotel if i had known. No pool. Valet parking was the only option at an additional $66 dollars.
- 4/5
Room was in need of fixing up, but it was clean.
- 4/5
Staff and amenities were excellent.
- 4/5
Aside from the construction crew while I was there the hotel was good - it's needing some TLC. Location to University of Tampa doesn't get much better and the service team was very attentive.
- 3/5
The hotel is under renovations and they told us way too late to make and changes. The room was fine but zero amenities. Book elsewhere until they are done with renovations.
- 3/5
However it is convenient, and will hopefully be better after renovation.
- 1/5
The room was dirty the carpet was dirty the staff was not very helpful had a party going on somewhere in the hotel till 6:00 a.m. keeping me and my wife up all night they were so loud I could hear what they were saying slamming the doors no one cared I called the office nothing happened didn't get a refund nothing this hotel is a piece of garbage stay away the people that run it suck

Excellent property, price, and wonderful staff. We were there for 1 night to watch the Tampa lightning game so relatively quick trip. Saw a bunch of reviews knocking the place. I’d like to clear the air with some of the snowflakes out there. Yes they are renovating in the building next to where we stayed and have done a great job erecting temporary partitions between the hotel and the construction. Yes we were there on a weekend so no construction was happening. The property is in good condition…does it need some updating yes hence why they’re renovating but our room was clean, quiet, and wonderful balcony with a view of the Hillsborough river and downtown. They have a little bar set up and some great seating looking out at the river. The staff could not have been more friendly and outgoing. Now given the construction we probably would not book anything mid week and the amenities are limited at this time. For a quick one nighter or weekend in Tampa the place is great and the rates were half of neighboring properties. Plus walking distance to a ton of downtown Tampa stuff. Can’t wait to get back there after the renovation is done because it’s a spectacular location. Great work by the staff!!!
- 4/5
Air conditioning didn’t work well. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
So very uncomfortable in the hotel.
- 5/5
good
- 1/5
Room didn’t get cleaned. They took a $300 (!!!!!!!) security deposit it was under major construction but the still charged full price.
- 3/5
The hotel is currently under renovation however it is quite old. The AC makes a rattling sound once it is too high, the elevator is scary kinda old. The Valet parking guys were really nice and efficient. The front desk staff needs some help, not the most diligent. Check out felt like checking out 2 years ago, long, slow and confusing.
- 2/5
I booked this hotel a week after I bought tickets to the BTS concert. I requested a handicap room accommodations. I sent a 2nd email no response to either email. 1 week prior to my check in I was informed major construction was going on at the hotel so several of the amenities would not be available. Upon check in I asked again about the handicap shower and was told they were full so no way to get a handicap room. Was also told at check in because they didn’t have a handicap accessible room with a walk in shower they would provide a shower chair and it would be in the room when we returned from the concert. No chair no body knew anything about one. But they did bring a chair which worked. Over all would not book there again.
- 1/5
cancelled our room when we didnt arrive exactly at 3 during check in time with no prior warning or attempts to reach out - refused to offer another room saying the hotel was overbooked. Extremely disrespectful and rude front desk staff who gave wrong information about policies as well.
- 1/5
The condition of the room itself was unacceptable. It had not been vacuumed, and there was human hair and a toenail on the floor near the sofa. There was also human hair on the sofa itself. In addition, the pull‑out couch had no sheets, pillows, or blankets. The room was stocked with only three towels and travel‑sized soap and body wash. I requested that the room be properly vacuumed and asked for sheets, pillows, blankets, additional towels, and toiletries. While sheets, pillows, and blankets were eventually provided, the room was never vacuumed. I had to remove the hair and toenail myself using napkins and dispose of them. I went to the front desk to complain and was given a complimentary drink voucher, even though I do not drink alcohol. When I asked for a cup of hot water so I could make tea using my own tea bag, I was told that this could not be provided. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. The quality of the accommodations and service was far below expectations, especially given the high cost of the stay.
- 2/5
Room was dilapidated and dirty. Understood the hotel was under renovation but everything looked aged and run down. Should do better to provide what guests pay for.
- 2/5
Pictures do not match with what the hotel actually is! Would not have booked if pictures were up to date and accurate!!!
- 5/5
.
- 1/5
Even though I had made the reservation a year in advance, I was notified at the very last minute that the pool was under construction. Had I known that, I wouldn't have gone.
- 3/5
The restaurant, gym and pool were all closed, the driveway was closed making it difficult for Uber drivers to pickup or drop off. This is all due to construction and renovations. I would recommend calling to find out the status of what appears to be major renovations. Even though this is on the river walk there are very few restaurants within walking distance
- 2/5
A roach showed up on the bed, and then it scattered. We contacted the front desk and they acted as if it wasn’t a big deal. “Well we can send security up there to get it”… We were then moved to the 3rd floor with a terrible view and a completely “section 8” type looking room. The hotel customer service should be ashamed of themselves. We were not offered anything for our inconvenience. Nobody wants to sleep in a room with a roach, and they tried to blame it on us for the roach being in the room. Lastly for our trouble, they tried to offer us a free breakfast. I’ll never stay here again, I’d rather spend the night in a storage unit than stay at this place!!
- 2/5
The room was in need of lots of repairs lighting was poor in the bathroom
- 2/5
No useful comments are merited. The staff was helpful but the facility was not worth the price
- 3/5
The property is being renovated so there are very limited amenities. The staff are super helpful, friendly and professional. We stayed in a building adjacent to the building where the reception is. The building was old and obviously in need of an upgrade but room and bathroom were clean. Location on the River Walk is super.
- 3/5
The valet people were good to us.I will not stay at this property again.
- 3/5
Under construction, I wish I would have known before booking, had to pay for amenities they didn’t have
- 2/5
Location is good- 1.7M to Hyde park. River view couldn't be seen through cloudy nasty film on sliders, sliders stuck and not working properly. Listen to bells chime at church all night long on the hour. Under construction so currently noisy. Room okay but has been worn hard. Fridge and safe helpful.
- 5/5
Good location with a good price!
- 2/5
Staff was friendly but couldn’t get a straight answer out of anyone regarding where/what we could use our $30/day credit on. The “restaurant” was open limited hours breakfast was premade items heated up in an air fryer, no ice machine on any floor. Room was a dump! Walls were paper thin, could hear other guests talking, etc, mattress felt like it had a sink hole in the middle. Room was suppose to accommodate 4 people but there were only 2 bath towels. Bathroom was small, clean but not nice looking. Wasn’t informed until day of check in that pool was closed and entire place was under renovation. No discount was offered. Truly disappointing experience given we were there for accepted students day at Univ of Tampa. Hotel was walking distance to campus but will never stay there again.

Perfect location. Clean Room. Walking distance from some of Tampa's best.
- 1/5
Biggest waste of $200- HUGE RIP OFF. Less than a week before our stay we were notified that the pool, both bars, and restaurant would be closed for renovations. Unfortunately they only took $25 off the price for us, making the stay now $198. Expedia didn’t give me the option to cancel the stay. We got to the room and it stunk and there were huge stains on the couch. One that looked like urine and the other looked like blood. There was also tons of hair and dirt all in the carpet. We went down to complain but didn’t even need to say much. the front desk guy seemed used to just moving people to other rooms based on how quickly he upgraded us to a suite with very little convincing. We were upgraded to suite but it was just as filthy. Bugs crawling in tub, large yellow stain on sheets, suspicious brown stain on box spring. Weird smell. When attempting to sleep, the fitted sheet kept coming off of the mattress which was horrifying with how filthy everything was. But despite the filth, sleep was impossible due to noisy church bells chiming all night and the sounds of what I think were cars thumping over the nearby bridge. It was a $200 stay that had the cleanliness of a pay-by-the-hour motel.
- 1/5
Front desk acted sooooo surprised with all the complaints. We were there 2 nights, 2 days. on the second day we went for breakfast with a very limited menu. turns out they were shutting down to remodel. This was NOWHERE to be mentioned yet they charged FULL PRICE comparable to the other Hilton one block over. We went to check out UTampa and this was the worst hotel experience! Gross
- 2/5
Restaurant Closed / Pool Closed & Access to the River Walk closed!!!
- 3/5
Room was dated requested room with river view was put on river side only to see top of a roof
- 1/5
Property under renovation. No amenities. I felt unsafe.
- 3/5
The hotels.com did not mention that the hotel is undergoing extensive renovations. There is no restaurant or bar. It also didn’t state that parking is $44 for valet parking. It looked like the regular garage is closed.

Under renovation with no warning or compensation
- 3/5
Parking was terrible. Couldn't locate the self parking lot that is apparently within a couple of BLOCKS of the hotel so we had no choice but use the overpriced valet parking. Very nice valet guys, though. Had no idea the hotel is undergoing major renovations so we were walking through construction to get to/from our room. The term "lipstick on a pig" describes our room. Also, the street noise was horrible. Don't do "city view" if you can avoid it. Staff overall were very friendly. Beds were ok. Towels were decent. Should have just stayed outside of the city for a lower rate.
- 2/5
I didn’t eat breakfast but did have dinner at their restaurant and it was subpar in my opinion. The hotel felt outdated, really old rickety elevator, and just didn’t ha
- 1/5
Staff was great. Hotel was under construction. No pool, no onsite restaurant. 4 star cost, 1 star hotel
- 2/5
The hotel is now under major construction, which I was not notified about prior to my arrival. Check-in was a disaster as the internet kept going down so they couldn’t check me into a room. It took 3 hours to get them back up and running. All amenities were closed, halls were crowded with all of the swaps of old and new furniture. The room I had was very outdated & rundown, even the balcony chair(s) were missing. Staff offered me a free breakfast voucher, but a discount on the room is truly what should have been given. This is a Hilton property, but felt like an oversized motel.
- 5/5
The location, pool, restaurant and price make this an excellent choice!
- 1/5
The first couple nights were fine. The pool and pool bar were fun, the proximity to the Riverwalk was great. On the third morning, we woke up to find that the hotel was starting a renovation project. The lobby was cleared, the pool was drained, and there were construction workers and machines everywhere. Nobody warned us that this was coming. We had planned to enjoy our last full day at the pool and instead had to spend a couple hours arguing with Hilton to get compensated, which was unsuccessful. None of the hotel employees seemed to care that everyone was majorly inconvenienced. We ended up having to switch to another hotel for our last night. Sadly, I would never go back here.
- 3/5
This property is preparing to undergo renovation. I would not stay here. It felt more like a motel than a Hilton owned hotel. Pool staff lack hospitality skills.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
There was no airport shuttle like Expedia page says, very misleading. Bathrooms need updating, mold. No vent. Lobby in middle of remodel. No wash cloths. But this was on Riverwalk, great location.
- 4/5
Hotel was in a good spot. Right on the river and walking distance to a few different things. It’s valet parking only. Which is $44 and you can’t go back to your car if you leave something in it. They have to pull it back upfront for you. There’s garage parking around the hotel for $18-$22 within walking distance. Hotel could use some upgrades, you can tell the building is older. Overall good stay.
- 2/5
The rooms feel very outdated — worn carpets, chipped paint, tired furniture, and bathrooms that are overdue for a full refresh. It honestly feels like the hotel hasn’t been touched in years. Service didn’t help the experience either. We requested basic housekeeping items multiple times and never received them, ending up hunting down supplies ourselves. If you only care about being in the heart of the Riverwalk, it works. If you care about the actual hotel… manage expectations.
- 3/5
Room did not feel clean. Floor dirty. Room felt run down. Bartender at main bar was so not helpful or welcoming. Couldn’t make any drinks because “the bar was closing permanently a couple days later”. Great location is the best I can say!
- 3/5
OK
- 5/5
Clean room, staff, bar
- 2/5
Room was outdated and not that clean. Windows were dirty and carpet. Bathroom was also needing to be cleaner and was outdated.
- 4/5
I had a child in the next room that was nonstop for over 5 hours. I asked to move my room, and I felt that the woman who was working the night shift was completely unsympathetic to my situation. I was speaking to someone else, and she injected herself into our conversation. I would only want people to know that this is a hotel that caters to families, that is ok. I just don't need the manager stating that my needs are also not important.
- 5/5
Poolside seating was good.
- 4/5
Pool side bar staff were rude
- 5/5
staff was good
- 4/5
Hotel itself is dated,no room service . Veiws from balcony the staff and location saved the day. The food at the restaurant was better than expected and the pool bar is a great time .with live music on pool deck or dj made for good evenings. Walkable to downtown parks and bars
- 4/5
Floor was sandy. Don't recommend staying on first floor as the tile floor is noisy when carts go past the room.
- 5/5
Amazing place
- 4/5
The hotel is partially updated but bathrooms need renovation. The bed is comfy. Everything was clean.
- 1/5
Room and pull out bed that was supposed to be used for my service animal was completely disgusting and stained. Horrible ac and when asked for a fix or to switch rooms, someone came up and had zero affect on the temp. No new room.
- 3/5
The staff were friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately the property is in dire need of fixing and upgrading. Our room had wet carpet from the leaking Air-conditioner, the inner curtains of the room were missing and the main curtain wouldn't close completely. The beds were decent and the linens were clean. The hotel restaurant was good and decently priced.
- 2/5
Room was cold. Heater would not heat up past 70°. In room Coffee service was terrible. Had to change rooms because first room smelled of cigarette smoke. Hotel restaurant was less than average. In room sofa was stained. Carpets leading into most rooms elevator were severely frayed.
- 5/5
Balcony was nice to have and sitting on the river with morning coffee. The bathroom could use some extra cleaning and updating but the bed was comfortable and quiet stay.
- 3/5
We were there over St Pattys weekend and the bar definitely could’ve been open earlier!!! Everyone was waiting that day for a long time because we were all watching the festivities early! Also one of the inside bartenders was incredibly rude. On the other hand, another one was exceptional. I wish I could remember her name
- 5/5
Great value, excellent location, very attentive and friendly lobby staff. Def stay again
- 3/5
It could be better
- 3/5
I felt parking fees of $45 was a bit steep. Additionally, they have a hidden amenities/resort fee of $25 a night which I felt was dishonest and poorly communicated. A heads up, you can use the $25 as a credit at the hotel restaurant or bar, otherwise you will lose it. There is no room service or vending machines so you are pretty much trapped into dining, drinking, or snacking socially in these areas if you do not wish to leave the hotel. The rooms are pretty old and not very clean, the carpet felt damp and kind of sticky. The A/C was not working properly throughout the trip so I had pretty poor sleep. The outdoor pool was very refreshing, though they have the music very loud all day so it’s not so relaxing. It is open to the public so anyone can just stroll in. There is a bar poolside which is neat and the hotel is right on the Riverwalk. Very pretty views on the riverside of the hotel if you are able to get a balcony room higher up. The riverwalk leads to many restaurants and cool spots, I mostly walked throughout my trip. I appreciated the front desk staff, the operations manager held my suitcase for a few hours on my last day so I could get out and do things without having to haul it around.
- 5/5
Great service, they took care of my luggage and I fell safe alone
- 3/5
Valet could use a little more ability to converse and help with loading and unloading. Instead of always running back to their phones I tip 5$ or more for each interaction and it didn’t seem like they were at work for their positions. They were nice don’t get me wrong just not attentive to customers. Restaurant understaffed. But waitress extremely good at her job. Didn’t feel welcomed when arrive in side. Seem to have to ask front desk questions they should have already put forth effort to do. Wasn’t a long stay There was one gentleman that went beyond his usual job to help with my items up to room. I believe he was a higher up guy. Very nice. Made my day No carts were available Over good stay ?

The hotel needs updating like many reviews have said. Ac wasn’t working and they sent a tech up and it was working a little better. Stayed one night before we went to Clearwater- view was great. Hotel was fine for the night- wouldn’t stay for an extended trip.

Rooms and porch was very nice
- 3/5
The rooms smelled moldy and the bathrooms were dirty.
- 3/5
The pool was nice on the Riverwalk. However, the outside main entrance to the hotel had a sewage type smell (maybe from the river). There was not enough towels in the bathroom and it needed upgrading. It seemed like the kitchen exhaust was exhausting to the 5th floor so I smelled fried food. I actually thought the hotel was a little dingy.

Thanks

Lorenzo is amazing!! He was super helpful, quick check in and excellent customer service

Staff was rude except one guy at breakfast black guy

This appears to be a budget hotel that once was a Hilton property that needs a major restoration. A very tired hotel. Very disappointed that Expedia even had it as a choice. The red flag was that it didn't have a brand name so no standards to meet. Best attribute were the Valet outside who were very happy to meet you but inside the opposite was true.
- 5/5
Great location, down the block from the convention center for a volleyball tournament. Beautiful walk to the convention center every morning.
- 2/5
No pool towels available on multiple days, bed sheets did not fit the bed and would come off every night, asked for more room towels and shampoo but never received them. Carpet in the room was dirty and never vacuumed the 4 nights we were there, bathtub would not drain when taking a shower.

Poolside seating limited and some chairs broke

the place is in an excellent location. It does need some upgrading but it was clean and everything worked well. I would definitely stay there again.

My stay at hotel Tampa riverwalk was underwhelming. The bathroom was filthy and outdated, the room was hot and musty, the view that I paid extra for was of the roof of the ballroom and I encountered a handful of problems during my stay. I had book (and paid extra per day) a wheel in accessible shower room with a river view. When I checked in they told me that I did not book a river view and that I booked a wheelchair accessible shower room that was currently not available at the moment (4pm is check in time and I arrived at 3:58pm). After some back and forth about the accessibility of the room. They “upgraded” us to a river view with a wheelchair accessible bathroom but it had a tub which was very annoying for my wheelchair bound niece. The river view was of the roof of the conference room and we could barely see the river. My niece that was with me is wheelchair bound and was looking forward to a nice view but couldn’t see anything. At one point during our stay our room keys stopped working. Front desk gave us new keys but that didn’t fix the problem so they had to call for maintenance and said it’ll be about 5-10 minutes. An hour later someone showed up after I went down to the front desk multiple times. They did give us one drink and one breakfast voucher for the wait which was nice but nothing could make up for the hour wasted waiting around for three batteries. Overall the price of the hotel does not match the quality. Not worth it.

The weekend was cold and rainy, we stayed Friday to Monday. The heat did not work in our room. We told staff but nothing was ever done. We asked for extra blankets, we were given 1 for 4 of us. They finally offered to switch us rooms, new room right next door same problem. They gave us space heaters that popped the circuits in the middle of the night. We couldn’t charge phone, watch tv or turn on lights. Our complaints were not taken seriously. They offered us a discount but honestly they should have given a full refund. Such a joke and acted like we were the problem because we are young people. I wouldn’t stay there again and I’m still waiting for phone call from General Manager Luke. Who I try calling and get a person to answer the phone.
- 5/5
Everything was very easy check-in check out communication with front desk
- 4/5
Staff was courteous
- 3/5
Staff very nice and courteous. The actual rooms are dated. The gym is run down. Pool is not nice. Lobby is decent chill, and lobby bar was pretty good.
- 1/5
Room was horrible. Checked in and checked out within 30 min
- 2/5
Room was neglected. Mold, hair, ants and booger were observed. Do not trust the photos as advertised.
- 2/5
Hotel Tampa Riverwalk is normally my go to for visiting my daughter at UTampa, but I may be looking elsewhere. Checked into our room and there was an overwhelming smell of pot. I noticed that night that both my sink and shower were barely draining and we were only given 2 towels for 3 guests. First thing the next morning I reported needing towels and the drains and was told someone would handle it. We can back to the room around 5, our room wasn’t clean, there were no extra towels and the drains were still backed up. I asked for towels yet again and nothing. At that point I went downstairs to ask yet again for at least towels because we needed to shower before dinner. Nothing! I finally saw a housekeeping cart and just took my own. They kept claiming they were busy, which I understand, but not providing towels or drains that work is unacceptable.
- 5/5
Good bar with a nice view
- 3/5
Room was a bit tired and smelled musty. Very loud at night!
- 5/5
Great location for experiencing the Riverwalk!
- 1/5
The AC never cooled for my stay and it reached temperature as much as 80°. I asked to even move to another room since maintenance couldn't get it working correctly and they said they were sold out. Secondly, I asked for housekeeping four times on my second day and no one ever showed up. I finally complained for the last time after 5:00 p.m. and they said they were out of towels for the day and all they could give me was a few hand towels. This was the extent of my cleaning for the day that I'd asked for four times.
- 4/5
Great location, clean room, courteous staff, but lackluster accommodations overall. Very much a 3-star hotel in a 4-star location. Recommended for a budget stay.
- 5/5
Excellent location.
- 4/5
Está bien para un fin de semana
- 5/5
Everything was great ! Staff was friendly and welcoming!
- 3/5
The staff were very professional and courteous. However, the room itself was not worth the cost. The paint and furniture need to be updated and refreshed.
- 4/5
Room was great! Took a few tries to get it clean, and the air conditioning could have been better. But we expressed our concerns to the staff and they helped right away! Location was amazing, would stay again!
- 5/5
Very nice
- 1/5
Valet parking attendants are a bunch of younge kids who literally skerted off in our car spinning the wheels out with no consideration. They don’t even had you the keys for you to leave they just throw them in the car and leave the doors open for whoever to just walk up and get in it. Very unprofessional Bartender just complained the whole time about having no help like she hated her job and killed the mood to the point we left we was here for a good time not your Negitive energy. Bar is infested with bees. Flaying around your face and drinks. Honestly save yourself and choose a different place to stay because this was sooo not worth it. Very disappointed in the stay. Not to mention the $25 they give you for food don’t really cover anything because there taxing so much you still have to pay.
- 3/5
The rest of the room was clean.
- 3/5
The hotel was in a good location but had the feel of a "party" hotel where you would stay before leaving on a cruise. There was a DJ Saturday by the pool. It was unexpected. The hotel is in need of renovation and is "worn". Amazing views, spacious rooms I am surprised however this is a Hilton.
- 5/5
The staff was awesome, nice, friendly and extremely helpful when our cruise is delayed
- 3/5
the hotel needs major improvements. We were very disappointed in the appearance and the needing of repairs everywhere. The pool , bathrooms , balconys etc
- 3/5
The room was clean and nice. The hotel itself was nice. We had a 25 dollar off voucher for the restaurant and a free breakfast. Dinner was eh not too great. Breakfast was better. Service was good a little slow.
- 3/5
Just kind of a dingy place for the price.
- 3/5
When we called front desk we were told that nobody from maintenance or front desk were in the hotel only the person doing bills and was not able to help with this issue. In the morning when we check out we was told that the only credit available will be parking because we did the booking with Expedia. I will not recommend this hotel poor customer service and in bad condition.

- 4/5
Location was great. Hotel was a bit aged, but good value for what we spent. Staff was friendly.
- 3/5
Great location and nice hotel. Vincent was fabulous at check in. He was courteous and helpful. The stay only gad one downfall. Tampa got down to lower 40s and thermostat stopped working about midnight. Room was really chilly and when desk was informed early morning nothing was done to correct it.
- 4/5
wouldn't say spot less but great location. Staff were courteous.
- 1/5
when we checked into the hotel, the person at the desk gave us our keys and directed us to our room. we get to the room and we notice it is cold in the room and thermostat does not work. I called the front desk and they sent someone up to fix the heat, they said they fixed it and it should all be ok. the weather was ok that day and we didn't use it much. on Saturday it was very cold, and the heat went out during the night, the room was freezing. they again sent someone up to the room to fix heat. again they looked at furnace and said it was all good. in reality they didnt fix anything, the furnace was overloaded somehow and tripping the circuit breaker. all they did was flipped the breaker back and said it was going to be good. not really, we were out of the hotel and came back late that day and was not working again. i found the breaker myself and flipped it on and got it working for the night. I complained again the next morning and they said the would help me out and take off the amemites fee off the bill. i had no idea what this even was, because it was not mentioned to me when i checked in. i had prepaid for this trip, and had spent hundreds of dollars at this hotel already that weekend. i would not recommend this hotel, due to the multiple issues we had, heat not working, staff that is untrained, and service staff that is unskilled on mechanical repairs.

The staff at this property is just awful and lack basic customer service.

Super friendly staff. Upgraded room on my arrival. Legit human interaction daily by text to address any needs. Phenomenal service despite the Gasparilla crowds!
- 1/5
One of the worst hotels i've ever stayed at
- 3/5
Old and tired rooms. No gift shop and restaurant is not even diner grade
- 2/5
The hotel hallway floors and room carpets are outdated, ugly, and stained. The heat didn’t work in my room on the coldest night of the year. It was 61 in the room.
- 1/5
For the price per night the hotel and the rooms
- 2/5
I was expecting more from a Hilton and the pics. The hotel is in need of a remodel. It’s very worn in the hallways, room, bathroom.
- 4/5
Very nice staff who worked to make sure I had a great experience! They made the experience. The location was also beautiful and super convenient. The room itself did its job—there were some stains on the shower and some dirt but for the most part, it was clean and comfortable. Overall, a great stay!
- 5/5
The hotel was nice. The service in the restaurant was excellent. We loved having close access to the River Walk.
- 5/5
Loved the balcony. We did not eat breakfast. $32 for breakfast was far too expensive.
- 5/5
Room comfort, river view.
- 3/5
Shower was clogged, television WiFi signal kept going out… ehhh, not worth the money, kind of old too.
- 5/5
Loved the balcony view from the room , the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant was reasonable and comfortable and has nice views
- 4/5
The room was clean. Staff was very courteous and very informative of the area. Yes I would stay there again.
- 5/5
We had an excellent stay here. Room had a beautiful view, it was clean and spacious. The water in the shower was HOT and had great water pressure!! Overall I’m so pleased with this hotel!!

The patio door was dirty and the door would not close all the way. We were placed at the back of the hotel where it was noisy from the bar below. So difficult to get any sleep. Very disappointed with the stay and hotel condition.
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly and courteous, however hotel needs to be updated...
- 3/5
Dated decor
- 5/5
Great staff clean room
- 5/5
Only real negative is that the hotel decor looks a little dated especially the carpets, which could use a refresh.
- 1/5
It’s horrible and they charge you additional fees. The place is dirty
- 5/5
Beautiful view of the river. Lovely room and restaurant.

- 5/5
Hotel was nice. No free breakfast. Good location.
- 5/5
Great stay. No issues
- 4/5
The hotel & my room were clean and generally well appointed. The staff was excellent - from the cleaning people, front desk, gift shop and valet - everyone was gracious and happy to help. The hotel structure could use some repairs though: peeling paint in the bathroom, frayed carpet in the room & halls, very well worn floors & walls in the elevator. Also, there was not alarm clock in the room, not any information about room service or onsite restaurant menu or hours. Overall a good spot, especially the location with a river view, but could use a bit of work.
- 5/5
Perfect

Waiting for the remodel
- 5/5
Room was clean, but had a few tiny little black ants in the bathroom. Staff was kind and attentive. We did not eat breakfast. Our room faced the street, without a balcony.

Free coffee in the morning. I wish there are more eatery right by the hotel. But you can walk to other eatery by the river walk or in the downtown area.

- 5/5
Staff was wonderful! Food was good and everything else met my expectations 😊
- 4/5
Staff was very courteous
- 3/5
Hotel is dated.
- 5/5
Fantastic room, #501! View - 5-Star! Staff, including Valet, were GREAT! We will stay - hopefully in this same room - again!!
- 1/5
Definitely not a four star more like a two star hotel great views rooms need updating
- 5/5
Room spotless. Need more front desk staff. Bar server was great.
- 2/5
There was bathroom was in desperate need of refurbishing. There was grime & dirt in the bathtub. There were quick fix tile re- facing that was very noticeable. The sheets did not fit our king- sized bed and kept coming off - when I asked housekeeping for king died sheets, she said the hotel had ordered new mattresses, but the new sheets were coming next week!
- 2/5
Dirty. Hidden fees. Missing many basic items in room like a chair and ice bucket liner. Very run down
- 1/5
Liars, DONT BELIEVE THEM! price advertised is at least $69 short daily. Between $25 for a Amenity fee that we did not use because we just stay a night and a Forced Valet Parking $44, everything is not as advertised. By the way the rooms are old, the beds are so bad, and bathrooms out dated. It is a Hotel that should not be recommended at all.
- 3/5
The room had a cable set up with few channels. Two parties in our group lost power on their night stands and tvs thru out the stay. Restaurant was mediocre at best, out of many items, slow service and one member of our party never received food while our group of 9 was able to complete a whole meal before it was even acknowledged. Good location but amenities and service were just ok
- 4/5
Staff was nice

The breakfast was excellent. The waiter very friendly. Check in with Jose was super. He is very friendly, very helpful and efficient. The view was ok--would have been much better had the roof of the meeting area not blocked some of the view. Only real complaint was the fitted sheet. It was too small for the mattress and every night it came loose exposing the mattress.
- 5/5
Awesome right on riverwalk. second best to Jw marriott at riverwalk
- 3/5
Staff was helpful but definitely needs a renovation. Great location but food and beverages were overpriced for the quality.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. It’s a buffet so it wasn’t amazing. It was just OK.
- 3/5
Rooms need a little upgrade and ours wasnt stocked with basics like sheets and pillows for the pull out couch but overall a decent stay with great views of the fireworks, along the river.
- 4/5
The hotel staff were phenomenal, probably the best thing about the stay. The hotel is in a great location but it's a little tired and needs updates. But for the price and location it was a good stay.
- 3/5
Great location very friendly staff thats why im giving 3 stars but the room itself was 1 star the room had definitely not been cleaned literally stuff oozing down the walls there was stains all over the pillow cases/bedding 😳 also i found a piece of toilet paper balled upnand stuffed in the peep hole of the door from prior guest's
- 5/5
Great room and location
- 5/5
Fast and courteous
- 2/5
The rooms were definitely outdated and had cracks, chips everywhere. Parts of drywall missing under sink where an apparent repair was made. Was just expecting a bit more
- 4/5
Clean, good location
- 3/5
Rooms need upgrading. Faucet didn’t work etc.
- 1/5
The only positive about this hotel was the staff. They were friendly and helpful but I would not recommend this hotel. I was so surprised this was a Hilton property as we are Hilton members and typically stay in Hilton properties and this one felt like a 1 star motel. The paint on walls were chipping everywhere, the paint on the balcony was peeled and gross, the mattress on the pullout sofa was stained and gross and even my child had a hard time sleeping in it when he saw the mattress. There were no sheets or blankets for it and had to call the front desk numerous times for coffee and sheets and towels that should have been left in room. The room and hotel was in such disarray that it just felt yucky staying here. We would not stay here again.
- 3/5
The room was fine. However, the restaurant and bar were closed upon arrival. I absolutely understand it was Christmas Eve. However, when I asked the front desk where I could go to possibly get something to eat and a glass of wine they had no answer. They said they really didn’t know. If you’re gonna close your facilities, you should have other options on hand for your guest. This hotel also charges $25 per day for incidentals. You can redeem food items at the bar or restaurant up to this $25. The next morning when the restaurant was open, I asked at the front desk if they had any to go items that I could take for my breakfast. That way I could at least have something for the $25 they were gonna charge me. Again, they had no idea. I ended up going to the hotel next-door the night before for my dinner. I’ll probably choose that hotel for my next day.
- 3/5
The price was good for the location however the room was very outdated.
- 5/5
Balcony had a great view of the river very clean and spacious room. This is my second time in a month staying here.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect from walking in yesterday and leaving this morning.
- 3/5
Room was outdated and old feeling. Bathroom floor had shoe prints stained in the floor. Tub in the shower was old and discolored. Ants were everywhere in the bathroom
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. If there was one downside to the experience, it would’ve been the restaurant. Restaurant was understaffed.
- 5/5
Location!!
- 5/5
Loved the restaurant, breakfast was no nonsense and as expected.
- 3/5
Very old room, bad air conditioning
- 3/5
Staff was very nice check in was the quickest experience I’ve ever had at any hotel. However the bed was not very comfy(spring mattress/box) It was a big tough. The bathroom sinks could use an update or maybe some lubricant because I had a very hard time turning the pipes to use. Other than that no issues. I went to a concert came back to sleep and leave the next day
- 2/5
Room was not clean at all. Things like the stairwell were disgusting, would not stay here again. High price for very low quality
- 4/5
Staff and location. Only thing they didn’t attend to the room at all.
- 3/5
The staff was responsive & friendly. Hotel was worn wasn’t as nice as my stay in previous years.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Room was dirty and the room and the whole fourth floor smelled like a septic tank.
- 2/5
We only booked for one evening to attend a concert here in the Tampa area. We did stop in at the reception desk around noon and were told that due to selling out the night before, that they unfortunately could not offer early check in but that the rooms would be available at 4pm which was the listed check in time. We found something to do for the four hours in the meantime. When arriving back to the hotel at 4:20, I attempted to check in and was told that rooms were still not ready due to them not being cleaned and turned over from the night prior. After 10 minutes of being offered free drink vouchers that I was not interested in, I asked to see a manager. And miraculously our room was ready once a manager was involved. The quality of the room when we arrived was also poor. Very unclean, spiders and webs in the windows when we drew the blinds back to see the river and I am grateful we do not have to use the shower. Luckily we were just sleeping here for the evening and will be driving home ASAP.
- 2/5
General room condition was poor. Carpet was torn room smelt damp, coating on the bathtub was coming off plugging the drain in the shower.
- 5/5
The room was clean, staff is helpful and nice. The hotel is conveniently located to everything in the area.
- 2/5
The balcony was very dirty and offered no view, it was literally enclosed inside a brick wall. The carpet was soaking wet. The sink had no counter space to do makeup or hair. The room overall was very subpar. Will not stay again.
- 5/5
It was as great
- 5/5
Excellent other than did not offer free breakfast.
- 3/5
Room the bathroom was not cleaned well and no additional or new towels brought on a third night.
- 3/5
Staff were very nice. The rooms were quite run down and our room didn’t have hot water. Had a hard time getting the cleaning lady to come and do housekeeping mostly looking for towels that we had to call daily and wait til a staff could bring us some to shower. On our third night there I broke down I couldn’t find an up side and I spoke to the manager he was very understanding and was nice enough to move us to another room for our last couple days which we were very grateful for. This room had hot water and the cleaning lady made sure to supply our room with towels daily and even addressed small issues that were wrong with that room as well. (Lock in door keep sticking) much better experience towards the end. Not sure that we would return hotel needs a lot of updates and a good scrub. Again the staff for the most part, we’re all amazing and very nice and I think with a little bit of TLC this hotel could be amazing. Because the view and the location are awesome.
- 5/5
Cleanliness, staff
- 5/5
Great location, nice view.
- 1/5
3 times somone walk into our room to exterminate and they just open the door we notify the front desk and they say they will give us a refund and still haven’t see it not very important to them the safety of the guess they show us as a check out literally one hour after we check in . And send all kind of people to just open the door
- 5/5
We had a fabulous time. Loved the pool area. We spent almost all our time out there! Room was great!
- 3/5
Room, staff and amenities were great but we had a room on the city side and the windows were so thin. The noise of sirens, people yelling and cars speeding kept us up most of the night.
- 3/5
Médium. Nothing special. Wish we didn’t stay here.
- 5/5
Everything
- 1/5
Rooms were not as nice as pictured, hot a balcony room ofthe river and ended up with a crappy unkept balcony of the street. Was supposed to get a 25$ credit for the restaurant and ended up with 125 extra chatge. If o k ew it was a hilton hotel i would of never stayed. Horrible
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and accommodating:) The location is amazing with access to views and the trail. Although the parking was a bit pricey, we enjoyed our stay very much!
- 2/5
Everything would have been great, except there was an event poolside that evening that we were not aware of. We reserved the room with a river view that overlooked the pool. Had I known the event was happening, I wouldn't have stayed there. We were looking forward to taking advantage of the great weather, relaxing around the pool area with some drinks, and enjoying our balcony. What we received was 3 1/2 hours of pounding music and so many people that we were unable to use the amenities that were advertised. We should have been notified or made aware before making a reservation for that particular night. I would expect some sort of compensation for not being afforded to take advantage of the amenities that were advertised.
- 5/5
The location and river view is excellent.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
We liked some aspects of the hotel. The location was great. The wait staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The hotel was a good value for the area. However, the front desk staff was curt. Tampa had a cold snap when we arrived and the room got cold. We had to ask for the heat to be fixed three times over three hours before it was fixed. Sometimes we had plenty of hot water and at other times it took over 5 minutes leaving the tap open before the water got warm.
- 2/5
I actually cannot believe this hotel is a Hilton property as the rooms were so below par. The exterior, grounds and lobby are gorgeous but rooms had patched walls, crumbling drywall, peeling fiberglass/acrylic in the bathtubs, scratched furniture. I had to change rooms due to waking up with black ants in both double beds as well as overtaking the bathroom. This was before i has anything to eat so not due to food that was left out. The staff was very apologetic and responsive but for $200+ per night as well as $44 per day for valet parking, this expense far exceeded the quality that was expected with the Hilton name.
- 4/5
Room was great, staff was great, shower needs a severe renovation.
- 4/5
Great location. Awesome balcony on the river. Staff was great bartender was so friendly.
- 3/5
Three people staying in the room only two sets of towels. Had to call twice to get towels. Additional expenses were tacked on at checkout. These were not in the price I booked at.
- 5/5
Staff were extremely helpful and the room was nice!
- 2/5
The pillows were flat. There was not a chair for the desk. The heat didn't work.
- 4/5
Nice location and amenities. Room showed its age a bit but not bad
- 5/5
great place to stay
- 4/5
Exceptional staff and great location.
- 5/5
The hotel was dated and a little tired but everything was overcome by a wonderful staff. From front desk to waitstaff to engineering and housekeeping, top notch service and attention. Would return.
- 5/5
location downtown Tampa, staff
- 5/5
Great room with balcony facing river and riverwalk. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
- 2/5
Overpriced
- 4/5
Great location! Good & Friendly service. The hotel is pretty old but in decent condition. It could use some updating. The room was relatively clean but needed to be vacuumed. We didn't like the hotel only offers Valet parking so we parked 2 blocks away for 1/3 the price. However, the price was good for the location so we would stay there again.
- 5/5
Very nice staff
- 3/5
Beds were small and mattresses were very worn. This place was highly recommended but I will not be staying there again. The front desk staff were nice. I liked that we got bikes to ride. I like the hotel is on the riverwalk.
- 5/5
Great place

Do not stay here. The room smelt musty. The pool was closed and they never told us at check in. They said they were getting the part in the morning and they did not!
- 5/5
The hotel has clean room, nice staff and perfect location, but the A/C make a lots of noise room 340.

It was a nice hotel. Great views. Amazing location. I was disappointed that the pool was not open for my entire 3 night stay. But i heard it opened the day we left. Beds were never made and ran out of toilet paper. Had to ask for clean towels and sheets for the sofa bed. Staff was friendly. Did not eat at the hotel but drinks were good. Overall i would return as long as the pool is open.

To many hide charge the room to old ,the view perfect
- 2/5
The hotel needs work there was a ceack going across the ceiling
- 3/5
Balcony view of UTAMPA is the best!
- 5/5
Very accommodating staff. Large room. Upgraded to river view. Extended checkout. Great place!!
- 3/5
The location and staff are the highlights. Super easy to walk to restaurants and downtown Tampa hot spots along with Riverwalk access is great. However, this property definitely needs to be updated, the valet parking and entrance point is very congested.
- 1/5
The room was on the street side, noise was relentless all night. It sounded like a drag strip, finally stopped at 4am, then started again at 7:30am. The water faucet did not work on the cold side and the hot was set to boil, good luck washing hands. The rooms were super humid everything felt damp. Our company purchased 7 rooms all reported the same sticky/damp feel in the beds and sheets. It is definitely time for a remodel. The breakfast was the same buffet style you would get at a any other hotel for free. But at this place it is $32 per person. For powderd eggs, soggy pancakes, cheap bacon, and tastless sausage links not even close to worth the money, when the same is free everywhere else.
- 5/5
Balcony view was beautiful
- 3/5
This hotel completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday weekend. I booked a balcony room with a river view, but when I checked in, I was given a completely different room facing the city — noisy, loud, and nothing like what I paid for. To make matters worse, the room had no working heat. It was freezing cold because someone had left the AC blasting on the lowest setting. When I reported the issue, the front desk staff refused to move me to another room, offering no real solution or apology. The city-facing rooms are unbearably loud on weekends — good luck getting any sleep. Between the street noise and the paper-thin walls, this place felt more like a cheap motel than the “premium” hotel they claim to be. And let’s talk about the hidden costs: outrageous amenity fees that cover almost nothing, and valet parking prices that are absurd. For what they charge, you’d expect a high-end experience — instead, you get poor service, broken room features, and zero accountability. The staff was dismissive, unhelpful, and made no effort to fix the situation. I left feeling completely ripped off and incredibly disappointed.
- 4/5
Great view of UTampa and river
- 3/5
The room was clean. Only one elevator working which was frustrating. I ended up taking the stairs the entire time. Doors to the outside were almost always accessible for entry, even without a room key which felt unsafe. Check in and check out was fine. Friendly staff. Very noisy all night long, but I expected that being in the downtown area. Overall, no major issues. Adequate for a weekend stay.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the getaway. The views were beautiful from the riverside rooms. There was gluten-free options on the menu and the staff was incredibly kind and hospitable! I enjoyed the bicycle ride too safe pass safe lighting at night all in all I had a great time thank you
- 3/5
Property was clean, but needed updating. The one of two elevators was broken in the entire time during our stay. Staff and food were excellent but rooms facing the city were noisy all day and a good portion of the evening. Convenient location, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Beautiful Riverwalk view, and nice poolside amenities.
- 5/5
Property was clean and safe. Needed key to enter hotel at night. Parking was valet and made it easy.
- 4/5
Bed was very comfortable. Room was cleaned but not restocked. Only one elevator working. Loved the balcony view of river
- 4/5
Management and staff cared about your stay. The issue issue is only 1 elevator was work causing long waits. That wasn’t fun.
- 2/5
No room service, bartenders and registration staff were miserable, broken elevator for four days...waitstaff in restaurant very nice as was valet.
- 3/5
1 of only 2 elevators was out of order our entire stay. The towel rack in the bathroom fell off the wall. Tub was resurfaced and looks terrible. However, staff was very welcoming, valet couldn’t be better. Fast and courteous We won’t be back.
- 1/5
Our AC was leaking from ceiling into carpet. Carpet wet smelled awful. Two wedding so no available room to switch. Charge $ 25.00 amenity fee and no one told us. We spend so much money by pool & bar. Never did anyone tell us about it until check out.
- 4/5
There was a lot of construction in the area, and though it was not the hotel’s fault, it was annoying
- 4/5
Close to U of Tampa, good hotel restaurant and great riverwalk trail.
- 4/5
Beautiful on the water, nicely walkable, although we made a request, our room was not cleaned.
- 3/5
Staff was great.
- 5/5
Nice and clean
- 5/5
Great stay, dj on the pool very nice, clean rooms nice staff
- 2/5
Too much road noise and smelled pot most of the night
- 3/5
I liked the fact that my king room was large with a nice view of the Riverwalk. The hotel very much needs to be updated!!! Our tub did not look clean and was very old, including the fixtures!!! The staff was very nice and the food in the restaurant was very good!
- 3/5
Room a little dated and and smelled of mildew and the housekeeping could be better
- 4/5
The river walk , surrounding attractions, and restaurants were nice, also everything was in walking distance. Hotel staff were helpful and nice.
- 5/5
Great Wi-Fi, clean room, very spacious, great restaurant and bar, right in downtown accessible to walk everything
- 4/5
Staff was very pleasant and helpful!
- 4/5
The rooms were nice but older than the pictures seem to imply, but large, which was nice. Staff was very professional and accommodating.
- 3/5
The room and restroom wasn’t clean at all. Was highly disappointed based on the reviews
- 2/5
we arrived to find no free parking. Also when we pulled our bed down, we found a dirty shirt from the prior guest. Our room was not cleaned properly as there were no trash bags in the bins, and only bare shower essentials. Our stay was only fair. No apology for the state of the room either.
- 2/5
The online images didn’t match the actual room. A lot of little bugs crowding around the gym as well. Didn’t really feel like the hotel was as clean as expected.
- 1/5
Noisy, dirty, dated. Do not recommend.
- 5/5
Polite staff
- 2/5
Not sure if the rooms have been deep cleaned in the last 2 years.
- 5/5
I loved the Riverwalk. It made getting around the area so nice. I would suggest there be better public access areas to it.
- 5/5
Nice stay, enjoyed the sports bars close by
- 3/5
Great location.

- 4/5
It was decent

Reserve una habitación con una cama King y me dieron una habitación con dos camas
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
Locate was great. Close in walking distance to the street car stop. Nice view from the room balcony.
- 4/5
Staff friendly and attentive. Close proximity to attractions. Rooms and hallways need painting and upkeep. Grounds and pool are clean but rooms need maintenance
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
Stayed for a conference and very easy to walk to the center. Room was fine and dining there was convenient. Saved a lot staying here instead of places connected to the conference center!
- 5/5
Valet very friendly
- 4/5
Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because bathroom needed updating, esp bathtub in which glazing was peeling off. The $25 per day amenities fee seemed odd.
- 5/5
Thank you Hotel Tampa Riverwalk, on your staffs great service. My family and I enjoyed our stay. I definitely recommend!
- 3/5
Have to say, Tyler the valet was the best part of our stay. Friendly and helpful. Otherwise the street noise woke us several times. Beds werent comfortable. Rooms had a humid, damp feel. Upon checking out, we needed a luggage cart which weren't available and no help to obtain one. Was told to stand in the hall ways on each floor to see if i could snag one from another guest.
- 2/5
Good points: Valet was nice and friendly. Bar tender Pilar was very nice as well and made a great drink.
- 2/5
The bed is hard to sleep on. You get thin sheets to sleep under, there is no comforter. The rooms are freezing cold. The internet kicks you off every 10 min or so, makes it difficult to get any work done. You aren’t allowed to self park, they charge $47.30 to valet park you. There’s a $25 amenity fee. Overall, would not recommend and would not stay there again. It was uncomfortable and not worth the price.
- 5/5
From the moment we pulled up to valley to the moment we got in our car to leave was amazing. All of the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to our request for our stay. The property is located in a very great spot in downtown, you can walk everywhere And it’s safe to walk at night. The property is very clean and updated. 10 out of 10 we will stay again. We actually look forward to staying again very soon.
- 4/5
Hotel looks a bit rundown. Paint touch ups and attention to dome cleaning detail would help. Staff was friendly and corteous. Valets were helpful and polite. Shout out on the drink specials for the NINE INCH NAILS concert!

My husband and I loved everything
- 5/5

- 5/5

Noisy rooms. Musty smell.
- 3/5
It was clean and in good location. Restaurant hours were not convenient.
- 3/5
Great location, clean room, friendly staff
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Absolutely an amazing time and stay the deals and benefits were superb… I was extremely impressed with the restaurant inside the hotel breakfast lunch and dinner was all to die for and at a reasonable price
- 3/5
Good location. The room had great views, but the restroom and shower was horrible. The tube kept clogging, the carpet looked dirty and Housekeeping was slow to deliver what you asked for. No microwave in the rooms, no coffee in the lobby or in the room. When asked for coffee all they had was decafe. Breakfast was good but the front desk did not explain i needed vouchers for it to be free as we booked the room with breakfast included. For the location of the hotel it was not a 5 star hotel or a 4 I give it a 3 overall.
- 2/5
Arrived to our room with two broken beds. We had engineering come and replace one of the box springs, however, the other bed was never fixed. The room smelt musty, was outdated and not very clean. Towel had makeup stains on it. We went to have breakfast downstairs one morning and waited 15 mins for someone to greet us which never happened. Carts for luggage were never available and you can only valet your car for the low price of 44$ night. Needless to say, we won’t be back in the future.
- 1/5
This was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. Bathroom was leaking water in lobby so we were asked not to shower until they can change our room. I was never informed of the leak until male maintenance came and demanded entry. As a woman this made me uncomfortable. So I called the lobby to confirm it was maintenance. They changed my room to a lower quality room that was filthy, dark/ minimal lighting, broken outlets, mattress had a dent in the middle, fridge was unplugged. Worst hotel I’ve ever been to. We were better off going to motel 6.Parking was horrible and vallet was hectic although the gentlemen’s had great customer service. If I could rate it 0 I would. Hotel from hell.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and place was clean and very nice.
- 1/5
Old and dirty, not enough staff either
- 5/5
Not Bad for the price
- 4/5
Was good time really close to the university of Tampa
- 4/5
The pool need some updating around with the bricks. The bed was very comfy. I got to check in early. Very friendly staff. Great area
- 3/5
Excellent weather and the room was clean but very outdated, i expected more since it’s a popular hotel. But the balcony was huge but not worth 200 a night
- 5/5
Hotel was nice and conveniently located
- 5/5
Our stay was great. The water view was beautiful. The staff very nice and helpful. We ate inside hotel food was good. Our server Linda was very helpful and polite. Hotel sit right on the Riverwalk with beautiful view and walkable dining and shops. I would diffently recommend here.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
You can eat at their restaurant in the back with a nice view of the river. Their lobby is cozy and nice.
- 1/5
Whoever owns this hotel needs to close it down expeditiously! It looks like a motel, it’s dirty the hallway dirty the room smell like wet mold! It need to be tore down and rebuilt.
- 2/5
The employees were exceptional. Welcoming, offered assistance when we needed it. Front desk and valets were exceptionally helpful as well. The hotel, we have stayed at before about 4 years ago but it has gone into a state of extreme disrepair. It was on the water so that was nice and we had a balcony which added some relaxation. The bathroom was not in good condition. It had marks and stains over the sink counter. It appeared they had replaced something in the shower and left all the screws in sinkers in the wall. The carpeting had not been cleaned in a while. It was a bit dusty and dingy. The walls had places at the floorboard that were bulging. The sliding glass doors to the balcony were not secure and they had put plastic on to cut down on the bright sun but the plastic was cracked and bubbling and coming off. It was a mess. Bed was comfortable but the room made us feel uncomfortable because of all the issues and lack of cleanliness. Actually went home a day early but, again, the staff was excellent!
- 5/5
I loved the entire hotel community and the staff was very professional and exciting to see everyday. In addition, the amenities were great. I look forward to coming back and spending more time.
- 2/5
This hotel is maintained by a typical low-priced hotel. The air conditioning didn't work in either room (we had to move and didn't want to move again). The maintenance person did not know how to check the temperature of the air conditioner, so obviously wasn't trained to fix it, nor did he speak English so it was impossible to communicate. The check-in was a nightmare, as the day shift did not communicate with the night staff the info needed to check in. The night desk person was rude to me and kept telling me "You can leave", with 4 teenagers at about 10 at night. Rude behavior. The food and drinks were over-priced, and their excuse was that you were in downtown Tampa. I guess they didn't think they needed to provide the proper service because of their location. Wrong! On Saturday afternoon, they had a DJ at the pool that had the bass cranked up so loud it woke me up from an afternoon nap... it was literally so loud the whole hotel was shaking. Turning up the TV didn't help, it was louder. It was supposedly a pool party, but there were only 5 people by the pool and 1 at the bar! The servers were nice and helpful, but that is the best I can say for the whole experience.
- 4/5
The location was great but facility was rather dated.
- 3/5
Lobby updated , food expensive, Rooms not updated carpet musky.
- 1/5
Had a horrible experience. Food under the bed stains on the floor and mold in the bathroom. Breakfast took over 30 minutes for eggs and we were the first ones there. The bacon and bread were burnt. The chicken and waffles were horrific. Multiple times with errant charges to the room and lack of response to correct
- 3/5
Unresponsive and several hidden fees
- 1/5
The floor we were placed on - 2 was dank, musty and dim. The room had a single air vent which was infested with black mold and though the AC was set to 50!!! It went from 72-74 during the brief 45 minutes we stayed in the room. We promptly left using Hotels.com to book a much better place across town near the airport. We were not the only guests to choose to leave on floor 2.
- 3/5
Not a fan of the room, especially with no microwave or updates. Booked 4 months in advance just to get an okay experience. Received an email 1hour prior to check in with unexpected expenses that were not listed in the booking. A/C in hallway 2nd floor was non existent. Bed was uncomfortable and room not sound proof. The pool party, views of the water and valet staff were THE only highlights of my trip.
- 2/5
Room did not have AC on arrival. After being moved to another room AC still did not work adequately, which made the room feel humid.
- 5/5
Property was clean and conveniently located to the Pier and my cruise .
- 3/5
I had asked for a room on the Riverwalk side they couldn't accommodate me my coffee breaker already had water in it which had mold in it couldn't make coffee in my room the dining and buffet and food was very limited for the hotel it's very pricey
- 3/5
While the room itself was spacious and had a nice layout, we did have a few issues. The room temperature stayed warmer than we would have liked, even after adjusting the thermostat. Additionally, the bathroom could use some updating—the tub in particular looked worn and could benefit from being reglazed. Overall, the service was wonderful, but with a few updates to the room and better temperature control, the stay would have been perfect.
- 2/5
Dirty
- 5/5
First time visiting and great experience. The view was nice, bed was comfortable and food was good… I will be visiting again. Older building could use some upgrades to the plumbing but overall a nice place to stay!
- 4/5
Location
- 5/5
It was close to the convention for my daughters
- 3/5
Location is great. Rooms are very outdated and the walkway shows no renovation, musky. We had ants in our bed biting my son. Staff in the dining was awesome but the check in was not that welcoming.
- 2/5
The air conditioning unit was not functioning properly, leaving the room unsuitably hot. We did notify the front desk twice. We were not offered another room, but was offered 2 fans that were brought up to our room the second night. They were oscillating fans that were loud and just turned around the already hot air in the room. The bed was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. Overall, the room felt significantly outdated, it smelled bad, and did not reflect the standard typically associated with a Hilton Curio collection property. I also would have expected better maintenance to address the a/c issues. This hotel does not offer Digital key and the $25 amenity/credit option they offered just didn’t make sense to me. It does not seem like a “perk” to guests just another inflated charge. I do want to take a moment to recognize Xiomara for her outstanding service during our stay. When we did mention to her on our second night that the a/c in our room was not working she was the one who immediately offered to have 2 fans bought up to our room. Her kind attitude and efforts to attempt to make things right truly stood out to us as she tried to make a difficult situation more bearable.
- 3/5
We were charged $47 for parking when the listed price was $44 which is already too high-then they added a mandatory charge of $25 that gave hotel credit in that amount in the bar or restaurant - Bar service was really slow, enough to discourage going back for that second drink... Hotel had a musty odor and could use some freshening. Overall, the only thing we liked was the riverwalk location.
- 5/5
The hotel lobby was very welcoming, clean and very spacious with lots of little nooks to sit and relax or read. Dining room was open and inviting. The staff was friendly and super helpful (shout out to Carlissa for her help). Area was convenient and in walking distance to lots eateries, convention, arena and bay. Room was a bit dated but it was clean and nice. Would stay again in future.
- 3/5
They charge a $25 amenities fee so highly recommend to used bc they gonna take it from your back account not matters
- 5/5
Very nice
- 1/5
this hotel does not live up to the prices they have. The room had a terrible mold smell, you could see it in the hood. The towels in the bathroom were not clean smelling. Everything looked dirty and unpleasant.
- 3/5
The view from the pool of the river is fabulous. It helped the review get up to 3 stars. Breakfast is not worth $30. Other surrounding hotels have a much better breakfast for that price. The location is fabulous! Half mile from the convention center, with several bars and restaurants within walking distance. The trolley stop is close so we just used that to get down to the convention center and Sparkman Wharf. We didn't have to take our car from valet the whole weekend. And they do charge for early check-in. I've been fortunate at surrounding hotels in the past who allow early check-in without charging the fee. We come to the Metrocon event every year and this year I tried this hotel for the first time. I will be returning to my previously stayed hotel for sure!
- 3/5
Check-in and check-out were very quick and straightforward which was nice. The forced $25 a night amenity fee is ridiculous, especially since they make it inconvenient to use the “credit” they give you for it. Amenities should be covered by room cost, extra charges like that are just an attempt to siphon money for free. The AC was not working well in my room but I didn’t asks them to address it, so that’s on me.
- 3/5
Needs upgrades for the cost and the a/c doesn’t work at all. We were moved to two different rooms and the temp was 80 degrees even though the thermostat said 69. Subpar for a Hilton property
- 4/5
I disliked that they made people pay for early check in.
- 2/5
I did not like that fact that my room was only serviced once. The restaurant was understaffed and patrons had to wait although PLENTY of tables were available.
- 5/5
It was amazing
- 3/5
I did not have cold water in my sink.I missed having a fridge and microwave. I wasn't happy about all the extra charges for eating there when you didn't. The valet charge was too high.
- 1/5
Never again room a/c suck just horrible don’t go don’t do it
- 4/5
In general, hotel is not the newest but the location is really good.
- 3/5
We chose this hotel based on proximity to the cruise ship port. The staff was excellent, the room was great but the dinner was not good. My wife chose the hamburger and it was clearly frozen and barely warm. It almost seemed that the wait staff was also handling the cooking. The breakfast was excellent and saved this stay from a lower rating.
- 1/5
This place’s staff are all racists. They provide you a QR code and asked you for tips. I told them that I’ll check out at 12pm but they just kept knocking at my door and even called me saying “you got nine minutes before checking out” like they can’t wait a second for me to leave. Horrifying experience. I’ll file a complaint with Hilton as well. Avoid at all costs
- 1/5
First off I’m a person that Never complains. This place doesn’t belong in the area where it’s located. I work for OurHome Services so I inspect properties but a 5 yr old can recognize all the issues here. We changed rooms 3 times before just settling. I can go on and on.
- 1/5
Dated and worn with poor dinning
- 5/5
Good stay. No complaints
- 3/5
Hotel rooms needs to be updated mattress needs to be replaced asap …….
- 5/5
Staff very friendly. Property is very convenient. Needs a little update but I would stay again.
