    I've stayed here before. The staff are very friendly despite them being extremely busy with Saturday's check in. I had salad from the restaurant which was delicious. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Nothing to comment on

    When checking in they didnt not explain much about anything, I asked about breakfast and she only gave me the time. When we went to eat breakfast we got a check, I should have did better research if breakfast was included but for the price of the breakfast buffet I would have expected better options and more fresh food. There were a lot of fruit flies and all the tables and chairs were dirty. Would not recommend counting on breakfast there, with a child we usually count on this when staying at a hotet.

    Short stay for a layover at TPA. No free breakfast and kitchen opens at 630am. My flight was too early for the hotel. The most important benefit is the free shuttle to the airport.

    The air conditioner did not work well at all, the fan ran continuously but the room was not cool. The spigot in the tub is about to fall off and the faucet was extremely hard to turn on and off. The bed was clean and pretty comfortable. I don’t think I would stay there again.

    I only stayed one night but the place was very clean, it has a nice pool, a large bar and eating área, didn't get breakfast because I left very early. The bedroom has a very nice and SUPER COMFORTABLE king bed. I did use the guest laundromat which was very helpful...tip make sure to have change it works with quarters which you can break dollar and 5 dollar bills down at the lobby. Did not hear any airplanes eventhHoughton hotel is close to the airport so that was a plus, it only took me 5 minutes to drive to the car rental return and from there i took the airport's railcart to get to the terminal. HIGHLY suggest to stay there, especially if you are going to travel. Also plenty of parking available at the property and close to lots of.places to eat including a subway right across the street.

    Close to the airport. Rooms were very clean (I had two rooms over my stay). Housekeeping were keen to be of assistance even with a language barrier as the two I met only speak Spanish. Beds were comfortable. Rooms are well equipped for the stay, plenty of towels, tea and coffee etc. There was a large desk in the bedroom for me to work at. I had to move room on day 2 of 4 nights because the AC sounded like a truck and couldn’t be fixed. Unfortunately the staff offered no assistance at all moving rooms other than giving me a new key. The maintenance and house keeping staff which were sent to my room speak no English at all. I assume reception who sent them would know this and be prepared to translate. The gym cross trainer was quite dirty. Strange as the rest of the hotel seemed pristine. The TV in the room lets you plug in a HDMI but if you plug in an Apple TV for some reason the sound is on 100% and cannot be reduced. The staff were aware of the issue but just said it doesn’t work. I got around this by using my AirPods.

    The room was very clean and comfortable. We were in a duplex room (didnt know the neighbors) and we could hear them through the closed door. Unfortunately for us, they stayed up watching TV, talking, and laughing until 3am. Glad they were having fun but I wish we didnt have the doorway because we could hear everything.

    I never had the opportunity to stay at the hotel. The staff in the night shift on the 4/27 was disrespectful, loud. Had a difficulty with my credit card and she didn’t offer any alternative except cash. She was angry due to who knows what and at the end my sister and me were kick out of the hotel. Went to a Hampton Inn were the attention to the customer was respectful and polite. There was no problem with my card. I don’t recommend the Holiday inn Tampa

    Room not ready at check in- waited in the parking lot for hour and half- staff lied and said they called me to notify room was ready- not even an apology. Gave us less than an hour to get ready for our event. Next morning housekeeping woke us knocked on our door until we answered even though we had the sign on the door. Strip clubs nearby. Will never stay here again.

    The food in the dining area/bar was not very good. Breakfast was a $17.99 charge for each person. Their are many locations close by where you can eat by Uber/Lyft. My Grand daughters cheeseburger had no cheese and was Raw. My chicken sandwich was all grease. The pool area was not accessible for a long period of time. They had to wait for someone to fix the lock. Transportation to our cruise was easy and offered through the hotel from an outside company. We have stayed at this location before because of the convenience to the airport, Ball field, and cruise port.

    I didn't sleep well at all. No matter what I set the room temperature to didn't matter. It was very hot at night. Air worked great during the day. Next time, I think I'll try a different hotel. I can't sleep in a hot room. We were not offered a member gift upon check-in, and I didn't ask. Do those still exist??

    Booked this hotel due to early morning flight on 3/29 needed to be at airport 5:15 am first shuttle didn't run until 6am, had to schedule a lyft. I called on 3/28 around 4pm advising I needed to drop off a rental car and would need a shuttle back to the hotel was told you don't even need to call as shuttle runs regularly. After dropping off rental car no shuttles in sight. Airport advised I needed to call and request one. I called only to be told last shuttle ran 45 minutes ago. Spent 30.00 on taxi to get to the hotel. Didn't appreciate misinformation provided when I specifically questioned shuttle service, I was NEVER advised shuttle service stopped at 9:45. Will NEVER book at that hotel again.

    If you want a quiet place to stay this is NOT the place for you. It's incredibly LOUD. The description for this place on Travelocity is completely incorrect: there is NO room service, NO club floor, NO microwaves in the rooms. The front desk never picks up the phone and the kids they have working there can't answer any questions. The amount you pay for parking is outrageous. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is because it's very clean, the bed is super comfortable, and the Indian food in the restaurant is very good. **When I complained to Travelocity about this they basically told me tough luck and ended the chat!**

    Nothing stood out. It was safe, clean room, and convenient to the airport. However, nothing special. You pay extra daily for parking, breakfast not included, no water or coffee in lobby and shuttle to airport doesn’t start early.

    From beginning to end we had an amazing experience. Our flight was delayed but our 2am check in was pleasant. One of the gentlemen (I wish I got his name) working the breakfast was amazing with my entire family. The room was clean and spacious. I really can’t be more positive.

I ask for a wake up call for 5 am went to check out at 5 am no one at the front desk some kid on his phone hat on backwards said what do you want i said i need a receipt he went outside i waiting about 5 minutes for someone to come in when the man finally came he had a very strong smell of Marijuana and i guess he had to finish his joint before he helped me i asked for a receipt because i needed to submit it for a refund as my flight was canceled the previous day he gave me every excuse of why he couldn't give me a paper receipt i had to catch a flight so i just left you really need to start firing employees like this

    The largest issue was a lack of warm water. It was shocking that at 6 am all that was coming out of the shower was cold. There was not even a hint of warm regardless of how far the handle was turned. The room was nice and the location was great for what I was doing. Don't know what my $15 for parking got me.

    Fast efficient check in and out. Room had a couple of seating options for those who didn't want to sit on the bed. Shower/bath had shelf space for toiletries, loved that actually. Liked the snack/canteen area. The prices though especially with store options across the street. Breakfast, misunderstanding one place says free continental type Breakfast other said 25.00 per person so we didn't even try just went to an outside place. Would have preferred to dine at site. Parking price too high especially for 2nd auto.

    Room and hotel were nice. Charged a parkeing fee that was never mentioned then put it on the incendentals fee since im sure ither hace argued about not approving that charge. The price was okay, when you include the parking fee per day and extra charge for another vehcile it reqlly doesnt make much sense to stay here compared to other locations even within the IHG network.

    Got off the cruise and we dropped our bags off at the hotel. The manager island lady seemed irritated but she took our bags and said she would call when a room os available. We come back at 1:30 and she rolled her eyes when we walked in and there was rooms available but she didn't call. The younger lgbq gentlemen was very helpful, after she passed us off to him.

    I like the room they had hardwoods floors, which was one of the reasons I chose the hotel. I’m not a fan of carpeted rooms. The staff was amazing, especially Juan and Lamarcus. The breakfast crew ladies were sweet as well. I had a short stay but would highly recommend it. It was quiet and easy drive Ybor and SoHo.

    Water puddle forms in front on shower because the curtain doesn't stop water from spilling out making it a hazardous condition. Room temperature was cold and could not control air to hot setting. Iron is on timer, shutting off and causing added water to stop steaming and wetting the clothe. Only one coffee cup provided & when called front desk I was asked to "go down to get one". Breakfast is over-priced & was not included I was rudely told I could not bring it up to the room. This place is unaccommodating, cold, rude and NOT WORTH THE STAY!

    We were very happy with our short stay before embarking for our cruise. The hotel has free shuttle from TPA. Visitors can use the courtesy phone in the airport upon arrival to call the hotel for the shuttle pick up. This was extremely helpful as we only had esim data but no actual voice or phone call capability. The room was clean and spacious. There were pool, gym, free shuttle service to the International plaza or another nearby plaza for shopping and food. We were a bit rushed and didn't use the services. The breakfast had limited choices but fresh and adequate. There were other outside shuttle that charged $10/person to transfer to our cruise terminal. The reception staff especially Liza was very helpful. Thank you very much for the enjoyable stay.

    The complete staff was the friendliness ever received in a long time.. They all had smiles and greeted you and made time to answer site questions and great surroundings suggestions Extra transportation was great too, and staff made arrangements also Onsite bar restaurant was super surprise and allowed to stay on site to eat all nights…..staff in restaurant could not have been any more polite and friendly Would stay here many times again and for any long stays

    The location is clutch too. Easy access to the airport, plenty of food spots nearby, and the hotel itself has solid amenities. The lobby, gym, and common areas were all well-kept and made the stay feel smooth and stress-free. Overall, it was a really solid experience. I’d definitely stay here again.

    The room and service was fine...DO NOT eat the breakfast buffet..To begin with sign stated wait to be seated..Woman told us to seat anywhere...We had to ask someone to clean a table for us..We had to ask for utensils and napkins..No coffe cups so we found strofoam cups..Food was horrible and cold...For $18.00 I would expect better service and food..I never write bad reviews but I had to write one today..VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

    The HMDI set up did not work so when I tried to plug in my entertainment system it would not work which meant no gaming on down time or Netflix. But the main reason was the shower had no hot water no matter how much I played with it and even allowed it to run for 15 minutes to try to allow it to heat up I could not take hot showers.

    The room was really nice, though a bit outdated. The elevator down button on our floor was not working, and the hallway carpet could have been cleaner. The pool area and gym were okay. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it looked fine from what we saw. The bar had a good selection of drinks, and although the prices were higher than nearby options, the choices were solid. The front desk staff were mostly polite, though the middle-aged gentleman was nice but also somewhat rude at times. Overall, it was a good stay with only a few minor issues.

    The hotel at 4:32am tried to bust in my room with a person saying they was assigned this room for 3 days before I checked in . However I called the desk and they man was so rude to me and said oh I’m sure you have calmed your kids down from it by now .     Didn’t utilize the airport shuttle. Shuttle schedule starts at 6am. I wished they start earlier for early morning flights like mine. The only reason why I booked this hotel for the shuttle service. I ended up getting Uber. Didn’t get the free breakfast either because of my early morning flight.

    My father is disabled and we are very upset about our stay. We are trying to file a complaint, but the manager is not been available for the last two days. I’ve asked multiple times to have a call and that has failed. They left us at the airport for more than an hour and we called multiple times. There was no hot water for a shower and the hot tub did not work. I would say that the staff is very friendly. The rooms were fine, although they placed us originally in two rooms that were not disabled, and my father could not utilize the room. They didn’t put the correct code in for the keys and left him leaning against the wall. They moved us to two other rooms and they were just fine. Very disappointed with her stay here.

    Essentially, the Holiday Inn Tampa Westshore (by TPA) was fine - it lived up to its star level on an efficient and no-frills basis. It did have hard floors, which we appreciated. But, otherwise the hotel was very basic in every way. Still, a good option for someone that just wants to grab some sleep before a flight the next morning. Probably the best thing about this hotel was the bed - nicely firm was the mattress (not a "squishy" mattress like some other hotels have).

    My checkout experience was awful. I will be submitting a complaint directly with the hotel not only to report the incident but to make sure this does not happen to other customers. The lack of respect and care from a particular employee at the desk is unacceptable. No hospitality was given whatsoever and it definitely overshadowed my stay.

    Convenient location near Tampa Bay, airport, aquarium. Rooms were very comfortable, pool and jacuzzi were great. Only downside is that it’s on a busy road, you can hear the traffic, not all rooms have updated A/C. I only had option to put on low, medium or high, but no thermostat to see room temp, one was too hot other was too cold. It’s an older building although they keep it very nice. Restaurant was nice, but only had one employee running bar and all tables so wait can be long.

    Overall, Nice clean hotel. Very convenient for Ray Jay stadium. Friendly front desk. Two complaints. Cleaning staff skipped our room during our 4 day stay. No fresh towels. Had to call front desk. No bed made. Worse than that, the first night of our stay at 4am, we were woken to piercing alarm and announcement to evacuate the hotel. Scary situation let alone having to climb down 10 flights of stairs half asleep. No directions on where to go or what to do. No apology or explanation for the inconvenience .

    I only stated one night so I did not use the amenities except the bar for 1 drink and grabbed a breakfast sandwich to go. The service was impeccable from check in, bar service, around the hotel and check out. The room was spacious, with a great area to work. Room also included a fridge which I appreciate. And the bed was SO comfortable with great pillows. Keurig also in the room. The thing that probably impressed me the most was I saw employees constantly cleaning all public areas, including the elevators. And they had a convenient shuttle that ran me over to the airport- right to my gate. I will absolutely stay here again.

    Came to Tampa for a family emergency. The staff here made me feel welcome and immediately put me at ease. Every time I came through the Lobby, Lisa greeted me with the biggest smile and a wave.     My friends and I enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Feedback would be keeping up with towels we spent the whole day at the pool and we only seen a change and replace of towels happen one time the whole day. Also room cleaning was super behind as there was only one staff working on our floor. Overall we definitely will be adding this to our saved due to convenience. Lots of places to eat, go shopping, and it was only a 5 min drive to the airport which was awesome due to our early flight back home.

    The property is clean and well kept. Staff are responsive. Parking costs for outdoor parking is excessive. The public areas, including conference areas are beyond comfortable and excessively cold causing participants to become sick. The conference room appears to have no emergency exits and with everyone within the closed room, colds spread quickly.

    When I first arrived we had to wait 3hrs before I could check in because of availability. Also when I made the reservation I chose to pay cash when I arrived. I took a lot of my time trying to check in. Once I got checked in the room I was assigned the toilet was backed so I end up getting another room and that took up more of my time because I was on a scheduled time for a family hour for a funeral. No microwave in the rooms????? Guest should not to leave their room to go down the hallway to use very uncomfortable and disappointing. You have a great staff especially Arianna she was very helpful explaining things to me.

    Great experience at this hotel during my first trip to Tampa! It was clean and staff were awesome. The only thing I would say is the AC didn't feel cold enough despite being on max, I was sweating in my sleep for a few days and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so it felt super hot and humid if you closed the door. Other than that, it was good, convenient and had a nice pool. They even have luggage storage and a shuttle. This was a really good place to stay at and I would definitely come back here again!

    Front desk was very rude. They called me and said I was supposed to check out and I told them my reservation was for a couple more days. She was very rude to me. I had to pull my email and read it to her and then she said oh ok. Room had little roaches in it and the laundry room was out of soap. I went to the front desk for soap since the machine took my money and they said they don’t carry extra soap and would have to walk to the gas station across the street.

The only complaint I have is that due to our connecting flight being delayed, we go to the Hotel at around 1:30am, when I going to check in, Im met with hesitation and arrogance from the front desk attendant, he said: check in? at this time? Politely, I explained that our flight was delayed hence the reason for showing up at that time. We. are a family of four two young children, we were all extremely exhausted and desperately needed a shower and rest. He said: Im not sure if Im going to be able to check you in at this time, but let me see what I can do.. Then he says, I was able to check you in because I change the date. If that was indeed the case, I understand but how uncomfortable he made me feel, is unacceptable. I was thinking, where am I going to find another hotel to check in at this time of the night and probably more driving to find a place. Like I said, the hotel was great!
