- Clean and updated rooms
- Comfortable beds and good location
- Limited bar and dining hours
- Issues with front desk service and reservations
- 4/5
Location fee plus taxes 40 per day Calculate an extra 90 dollars per day to stay at the hotel. Besides that, all good

We'll definitely stay there again. Thank you, Beth Morgan

Great location, staff amazing and rooms are clean and cozy.

Room was clean. I could hear the people above us flush their toilet. They were extremely loud. The ice machine didn't work on our floor. The bathroom was small and outdated TV kept losing signal

The room and the bathroom were clean, but a little outdated. The swimming pool is small
- 5/5
Our stay was great. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The only complaint I have is with the parking prices. I understand its downtown Tampa, but still seems steep. Cost as much to park our car for 3 night as a single night stay.
- 4.5/5
I was charged for internet access even though I was told it was free. I have been a Hilton Honors member for 20 years, so this was especially disappointing. In addition, when I needed transportation from the hotel to the cruise port, the reception staff suggested a taxi service and the valet called the driver for me. We ( 2 persons) shared with 2 more people I was charged $30 for a very short trip to the port. The taxi driver even mentioned that they have an arrangement with the hotel/valet staff. Overall, this experience felt misleading and unprofessional.

The hotel has a very good location. The room was comfortable and very clean. Everything else was ok.
- 1/5
The rooms are old, not updated, dingy, our bathroom smelled like a sewer every time you flushed it, all of the drains drained slow so it would leave debris in the sinks and showers. The door to the bathroom wouldn't close. The I have what appears to be bed bugs, I have bits on my arm and leg. I did NOT expect this from a hilton, at almost $500 a night which is totally price gouged by the way, which whatever, we paid it - BUT if I am going to be gouged, I expect an EXCELLENT ROOM. Clean. Updated. Things smelled mustly. The elevators were HORRIBLE, every time I was in there with someone they'd be clinging to the railing bc it was so bumpy and loud it freaked everyone out, we were used to it after 4 days. We would've absolutely left this hotel if we could but there were no rooms anywhere else and there was nothing for them to do for me about the nasty room bc there was no where to put us.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They recognized us daily no matter who was on duty and remembered how many people were in our group. They were helpful with directions and suggestions on dining options, calling car services, helping find stores for forgotten items. Above and beyond!
- 1/5
the staff was not very helpful, fell below my expectations and not worthy of 4 star rating at all.
- 1.5/5
It’s was a very pretty hotel, easy check in, and easy valet. Good facilities I did not like the how they did not properly staff the hotel, when there was a super high demand. It is very irresponsible to overwork all the workers and making them do the impossible, when it is very known that the hotel was sold out for a couple nights straight. I believe the management needs to be more prepared to receive the amount of people especially when there is a very popular event in the area.

Excelente hotel!!!! Nos volveríamos a quedar
- 5/5
Great location. We attended a Cheer Comp at the Convention Center and this Hotel was perfect. The shower had an issue draining water. I think the pool bar needs to stay open longer. It closed at 6 and we had to go to the lobby for drinks, it was very inconvenient.

The hotel it’s clean and in good shape but the staf was helpful and the convenience store was lacking of the normal necessities, the valet parking employees were very nice and friendly, my only good experience was with them five star for their service.

Reserved two double beds during our stay. The room itself was clean. TV did not work, no coffee maker and the microwave was hidden.

Very outdated and old hotel

Clean rooms but the hardest bed ever. Old fashion rooms. The best shower ever omg. Also liked I could watch all the streaming apps.

Nice staff at front desk
- 3/5
Rooms were always clean, and the staff at the pool bar and restaurant were very friendly. The staff at the front desk though? I have never encountered worse. When I checked in, the man appeared almost mad towards me. Had issues with my room and asked to be placed in similar room to what I had originally, the man said nothing nor looked at me and just handed me a new room key. Then at checkout to find out I was charged a 34.50 daily charge?!
- 4.5/5
parking, it's terrible. When you pay so much to stay in a nice hotel, you should be able to at least park there.

Nice hotel, great location and restaurant was good parking, it's terrible. When you pay so much to stay in a nice hotel, you should be able to at least park there.
- 4/5
It’s really nice. I ended up staying on the 11th floor. In my opinion it’s not worth the price for a long stay. If you’re there for a short stay it’s more than worth it. There’s restaurants across the street and the harbor is a 12 min walk away. The staff was very sweet and friendly.
- 5/5
It was nice
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with a great city view. Very convenient to get to anywhere within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!
- 2/5
Good location. Nice staff. Comfortable bed. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen in any hotel. The toilet was extremely loud flushing - like something was wrong with it. The bathroom sink didn’t drain properly and we saw a roach in there. The room was fine except for the bathroom.

Good pool area , good staff
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay
- 3/5
Great location. Staff noted rooms were available but didnot want to give us early check and were very unhelpful
- 3/5
Needs an upgrade. Dated. Looks very used/abused. Definitely comes off as a conference hotel. Lots of people staying are there for conventions. Typical corporate hotel.
- 5/5
Fantastic location & property only minor inconvenience was trying to be sold a weekend getaway during during checkout.
- 1/5
Over priced. Charged 1k more than advertised for 2 days. Booked a pool view and got a view to the commons area which pool was past that. Run down room
- 5/5
Breakfast menu was fresh and tasty, although expensive. Dinning in restaurant was excellent. great selection of beverages both in bar and restaurant were excellent.
- 2/5
Local restaurant blasting music til nearly midnight on a Sunday. Hotel walls were vibrating. Next day my digital keys were deactivated. Hospitality rating zero, would not stay here again.
- 4/5
It was a room. The city view was more like the next building over and the shower had seen better days. The room was clean and staff were friendly.
- 1/5
Unexpected charges on credit card . Trying to speak to someone to explain why took a very long time. After listening to a HILTON ad for 20 minutes I was connected to someone in a foreign country I had trouble understanding . That person then connected me to someone else who connected me to someone else that explained to me there is a “mandatory amenities fee” that is unfortunately charged for every nights stay. Oh well. It’s only money, right?
- 2/5
Very small bathroom and not very clean
- 4/5
I felt our room could of been nocer for the price we were given an end room
- 3/5
We has a two bed room, wish it had nore space, bathrooms would fwt clogged quickly. The valet parking seemed to always be full and there not very nice about helping you other wise. Also starbucks specially on sports weekend should havw more then two people helping. Other then that eveythinf was ok.

Clean rooms. Nice.
- 3/5
The conditioner was empty, a dead cockroach was on the ledge when we looked out our window that went to foyer of the hotel not the outside. The bed was extreme uncomfortable, thin comforter and pillows were awful.
- 5/5
Enjoyed everything about my stay except for the limited parking.
- 4/5
We not used the gym
- 2/5
The elevators were not working properly. Our room had no A/C for an entire day and the temperature was 80 F. The pool water was over 100 F. So we could not use the pool, had to walk up 12 stories of stairs, and the room was to hot to enjoy.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
Be advised there is a $35/day location fee that is additional. It can be used for various services at the hotel but is a less than ideal way to get people to spend additional money within the facility.
- 5/5
Amenities, valet service, and swift check-in/out were all great things that stood out. Starbucks in the lobby was such a great addition to our stay.
- 1/5
very disappointed with the room, hard to believe it is a 4-star hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, hotel was clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
Overall the room was good, shower could be hotter. We were unaware of a $15 per day credit at the restaurant until we checked out. The Hilton Honors people roaming around attack if you make eye contact trying to sell you. The valet turned off automatic lights on our vehicle and we didn't realize it until we had been driving around downtown Tampa with no lights on.
- 5/5
Great experience overall.
- 4/5
It was ok.
- 3/5
Was over charged. Charged my card on 12/15 for $200.99 and again on 12/27 $186.39. Called several times to get resolved and keep getting cut off.
- 3/5
Staff was not personalble and sooke to low to understand.
- 5/5
The location was excellent. WE were across the street from the arena and two blocks from riverwalk
- 2/5
Coakrachs in the room
- 5/5
all around excellent stay.
- 5/5
Excellent front desk staff and the bar staff was amazing.
- 3/5
We checked in at 4 and the room wasn’t ready so they put us in another room lower level and the view was horrible. We specifically booked a city view for just that and they put us infront of a giant parking garage. They moved us to a pool view. Room was uncomfortable and lacking the Hilton flare we are used to. Dining options were limited and very over priced for what it was. Best thing was the Starbucks in the lobby and the $30 credit.
- 5/5
Would stay there again.
- 3/5
One day we asked several times for towels and they were not delivered
- 5/5
Room was spotless & staff very courteous
- 4/5
The room was outstanding
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the texts from staff making sure I was enjoying my stay.
- 4/5
Starbucks was on point. Room clean. Staff fab. Amenities scarce.
- 3/5
The TV had a line in it
- 4/5
App/text code for valet parking would not work
- 3/5
Our stay was average, this hotel needs an update.

- 5/5
Excellent service able to check in early and a Starbucks!!!
- 5/5
Staff was incredible
- 5/5
The shower gel felt almost empty.
- 5/5
Alex at the Front desk was so kind and helpful! Every interaction was so pleasant, and he was lovely enough to help us print our Universal tickets when we checked out! Very appreciated! ALSO- the valet team was so patient as I struggled to get my life together and forgot something on my car, immediately after valeting it. THANK YOU, EVERYONE.
- 4/5
a good stay for a chill lowkey vacation
- 4/5
On site restaurant is horrible and beds are small Nd hard , pillows good , appointments to bath spRce, coffeemaker hard to use inside of a cabinet area I wouldn’t recommend or stay here again sorry
- 5/5
Everything was quick and easy and the Valet Service was Great! I met the nicest people at the hotel. Also, the restaurant inside the hotel was excellent! Will I stay at this hotel again? Most definitely.
- 1/5
It’s crazy this downtown hotel should be the most luxury place but it’s totally opposite way. Unfortunately, the worst hotel I have ever been to.
- 5/5
The good options in the hotel & very central
- 5/5
I spent one night for my husband’s birthday. Kyle at the reception desk not only gave us a free upgrade room but we also got a bottle of champagne. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Had a nice stay but dealt with a hiccup during check in. Will visit again
- 1/5
A 34 dollar destination fee come on Hilton that’s ridiculous
- 5/5
I was an easy walk to the arena and a very nice stay for the price.
- 2/5
We had planned on spending one of our days there relaxing at the pool, but the pool was closed for the entire weekend for maintenance and we weren’t notified until we checked in and were told that if we wanted to use a pool we could walk 10 minutes down the road to the Embassy. I feel like this should be communicated to guests during the booking process. If we had known that, we would have stayed at another property. It was difficult to sleep because the room was noisy. The toilet ran throughout the night, and even when we closed the door to the bathroom it was still loud enough to hear. A room near us also had a dog that barked throughout the night. The parking options were ridiculous. The only option the hotel offers is $45 a day for valet. They also charge a $1 convenience fee every time you want to tip the valet using the valet website. On top of that, we were approached twice by solicitors in the lobby and at the bar during our stay. One of the staff members, Aydan, reached out to me on the send day of our trip to rate our experience. When I let them know it wasn’t going well, they offered to call me at 1:00 that afternoon to discuss it, which I agreed to. Unfortunately, Aydan never called. The rest of the staff on site was very nice though.
- 4/5
It was nice.
- 5/5
that’s a good place to go
- 4/5
The property itself was good but the staff was a little curt with me. Overall a pleasant stay, very convenient location.
- 5/5
Great lobby and dining area
- 3/5
Early in the morning we heard bubbling from the restroom. We looked and dirty water was coming up in the bath tub. We couldn’t take a shower. I complained and we received a discount.
- 2/5
I have to say I’m honestly shocked and disappointed with the front desk staff during my recent stay at Hilton Downtown Tampa, especially on 8/18 and 8/20. When I asked simple questions, instead of getting helpful information, I was met with dismissive and unfriendly answers. The lack of courtesy and willingness to assist left me feeling unwelcome and frustrated. For a hotel that carries the Hilton name, I expected far better treatment. The experience really ruined what should have been a comfortable stay.
- 5/5
Enjoyed everything about this hotel
- 5/5
I like how the hotel is accessible to a lot of sightseeing places and venues.
- 5/5
The two young men whose names are Jalen and Chris were amazing. They made my trip very smooth because of their professionalism and attentiveness. Hilton Downtown has the right people working the front desk!
- 5/5
Good Service
- 2/5
The bathroom in my room 1025 was awful needs to be upgraded for the price I am not pleased!
- 1/5
They will lie about a $30 daily credit applied for room service and then erroneously charge your card on file for the full amount without the credits actually applied.
- 4/5
Everything was fine; however, I was disappointed that I was unable to do a late checkout because of an event that I was not with.
- 5/5
Muy buen hotel ,limpio, comodas las habitaciónes y empleados muy amables.
- 1/5
My bed was awful. My body sank down into the mattress and left an imprint of where I had slept. It was old and uncomfortable. The shower had mildew in it. I was in room 1227 and heard the ice machine and folks come in and out of the elevator. There were teenagers running up and down the halls both nights. I was there around midnight, very loud and obnoxious. The pool area was very small, not what I was expecting for the price of the hotel. Access in and out of the valet was very difficult since it was a one-way street.
- 3/5
It had a great location. The place is a bit outdated though.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms. Nice pool area and bar options. Close to riverwalk, and everything else. Will be back!
- 5/5
We loved every second of it.
- 5/5
Fast and easy
- 2/5
Not worth the money I paid for the hotel
- 1/5
Tv was broke and toilet leaked
- 3/5
Expensive!
- 4/5
It wasn’t too bad.
- 4/5
The property is in a great location. We were able to Uber everywhere we wanted to go for less than $20 a trip. The staff was great and the property was clean. It does look a little old and there are no microwaves in the room, which makes it difficult to heat up your food.
- 5/5
Everything is great, thank you! Just a small suggestion — it would be even better if the bathroom had some ventilation.
- 5/5
We had such a nice stay! The hotel is within walking distance to a ton of places
- 5/5
The DT Hilton is always a pleasure to stay at. Hotel service is great, any maintenance requests are prompt, and the lobby staff is very attentive to all clients. 211 Room service leaves a lot to be desired, but I have eaten in the restaurant without any issues or concerns. See you next year when we visit again!
- 2/5
We had planned to stay for 2 nights but only stayed for 1 night. The marketing shows a restaurant called 211. After a long day of a conference there, we went to the restaurant to see a paper sign "We are closed" at 8PM. The marketing hours= open until 11PM. Front desk had told us that because of the daily resort fee, you get $30 off at the restaurant and the pool bar that also has food. Their marketing tells you that there is a pool bar with snacks. So, we walked to the pool bar and there was zero bar, zero staff, zero food or snacks. The only thing open was the very small lobby bar that had about 100 customers, we waited for 30 minutes without any staff waiting on us. We hadn't eaten all day and now it was about 8:30PM. So, we went back to our room, and I called guest services. She said if we wanted a sit-down dinner, there are 2 restaurants across the street. If I would have known that, we would have made restaurant reservations ahead of time somewhere else, but the Hilton's marketing tells you that they have a restaurant and a pool bar. There is a marketplace, but that is like chips, etc. My husband is disabled, so we had to cross a busy road and then go to a restaurant with a long wait because no reservation. Returning to the room, we had almost no sleep due to crystal clear noises from the hall and rooms on each side. We had breakfast at 211 and was nice. My husband has cancer was not feeling well from being exhausted from all of this, so we had to return home.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 3/5
We were here for a lecture, so it was convenient. But kind of expensive.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Nice spot. Cool bar by the pool
- 5/5
It was good
- 5/5
Super
- 4/5
Check in took some time, i had to keep asking if my room was ready. I would stay here again.
- 2/5
They brought up a replacement blanket, but then told us it was actually worse than the first one. Eventually, they offered a feather-free blanket and simply dropped it at our door — no apology, no follow-up, and no effort to make the situation right. Between the unpleasant smell and the questionable cleanliness and service, we were left very disappointed. We expect a basic level of comfort and professionalism from Hilton, and this experience fell well short.
- 5/5
It was amazing!!
- 5/5
clean and silent
- 5/5
Quick and easy to port terminal
- 4/5
It was a nice hotel.
- 5/5
Good stay
- 3/5
Beware its an older property and the pool deck is very small but the food was delish and property was clean! Our bathroom was small - toilet was so large it was literally in front of the sink bowl!! We had to lean over the toilet to brush our teeth. Water pressure for shower was awesome, bed and bedding was amazing!
- 2/5
Hotel room was having major plumbing issues - after 3rd complaint they changed our room to a MUCH smaller room which wasn’t the cleanest either . The STAFF WAS SUPER NICE tho !! But it’s definitely in need of improvement property wise !!!!
- 3/5
Clean room and facility. Staff was friendly. Beds were ok definitely not plush. Our in room safe did not have a door on it? Overall fine but pricey!
- 3/5
The staff was so nice and wonderful. But the rooms smelled, and our toilet made a loud running noise making it impossible to sleep.
- 1/5
They double charged my card
- 3/5
Rooms could use updating
- 5/5
The front counter agent, Vy, was excellent, along with everyone else.
- 4/5
Very service oriented and professional.
- 5/5
Lobby was nice and lots of space to sit with friends
- 4/5
Its cleam respectable
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately one of the guests staying with me got food poisoning from the 211 restaurant and was very ill for most of our stay.
- 2/5
We stayed in a room on the fifth floor, but it was facing the lobby. Guests were out there super late at night being loud and you can hear everything in the room. And to make matters worse, there was a team of teenage girls staying the same weekend and they kept running through the hallways at 11:30 at night, laughing and being obnoxious. I finally got fed up and asked them to be quiet and then I had to call the lobby and ask them to tell the rest of the girls that were out there at almost midnight to keep it down. I feel like the hotel should have some sort of rule for guests that are out there in the lobby to lower their voices after certain hours since half the rooms are all facing that central area.
- 3/5
Toilets are so loud and the hotel hasn’t been updated probably since the 2000
- 1/5
This is the first time at Hilton and it was by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed it. I was there for 5 days. Staff is incredibly rude the entire stay especially the front desk. Also, they are the ONLY hotel who requires a $500 incidentals charge on your credit card at check in! The other hotels only charge $150. Then they charge a mandatory $30 a day fee! The hallways in the hotel were freezing cold at all times. We went to use the hotub outside and it wasn't even warm. An employee working at the pool offered to turn it on but I told him by the time it warms up, I don't want to be in it anymore. I called for my valeted car in advance and they never had it. Took 20 mins to get my car every time. The young men at the front desk do not like it when you approach and interrupt their conversation to ask questions either and are very rude. The ONLY great experience I had was Dino, the valet on my last day. He was pleasant, he went out of his to retrieve something in my car for me after parked and was very friendly and personable. Hilton, your fees are ridiculous, your service is horrible and your staff is rude. This is the only hotel with no continental breakfast and no guest laundry either. Everything and everyone at this hotel cares more about money and nothing for the guests. The lighting in the rooms are also horrendous and only 2 lamps in the whole room which is not enough light to work.
- 1/5
I stayed in room 703 at the hotel on Thursday, February 19th with my mother who came from Argentina. The shower water wouldn't go out and I slipped when I showered 3 hours after my mother. I bought an espresso at the front desk store and at night a rib eye at the hotel restaurant. Despite having a $30 gift, they charged me for everything and an extra $10. There was a group of 3 couples at the hotel pool with alcoholic drinks and they were very loud. No one said anything to them.
- 4/5
Good option for downtown hotel
- 5/5
It's a one night stay and we didn’t used a lot of the facilities. For now everything is ok
- 5/5
Front desk is always friendly kind and professional.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 2/5
I asked for the house keeping and after 4 hours no service. I couldn’t even get a printed receipt
- 5/5
Great convenient stay. Early check in, late check out. Quiet even though there were multiple events at the convention center. Only downside was the pool bar closed a little bit earlier than we thought but the downstairs bar near the lobby was great. Will stay here every time I’m down jn Tampa
- 5/5
Within walking distance to Amalie Arena
- 5/5
The bathrooms are basic and need upgrading. Other than that a pleasant place to stay during a recent trip.
- 3/5
The property looks really old and the carpet in the room was pretty dirty. Bathroom was tiny and features of the shower were falling off the wall. Other than that, staff was really nice and helpful, specially the valet guys. Room service was quick and food was good.
- 1/5
This property needs major upgrades, everything in the room is outdated.
- 3/5
Needs updated
- 5/5
Good location convenient to dining options. The property was clean and inviting. We even experienced a power outage at the property and the staff was helpful, friendly, and fun.
- 3/5
All these things didn’t make it like we were staying at HILTON!
- 5/5
Highly recommend this hotel!
- 3/5
I did not like the hotel, the people were very cold, from the front desk, valet parking. Not friendly
- 5/5
A very Clean And a convenient place which has all the amenities needed for a vacation
- 5/5
Safe and convenience.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and clean. It allowed for a good night sleep for an early morning run.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, friendly staff, convenient walk to UT.

The staff of the hotel was very helpful whenever we needed something. When we needed more toilet paper, fresh towels, and the toilet unclogged, they were very fast to come and help us. Felt like the rooms were a little old and rundown. The hallways were very dark. Our door did not close all the way we had to pull or slam it shut. The lobby is very nice and looks recently redone.

We didn't like the amount Expedia charged. We found out it was available for half the price. Also the 211 restaurant was closed all 3 nights. There was no hot/warm water to shower or shave. I have used Expedia many times before but was never over charged to this extent and denied the ability to cancel.

I was surprised to find that the rooms didn’t offer USB-C charging ports when most tech products are USB-C now. When we called down to the front desk we were told to “walk to Walgreens.” I was also surprised that there were no robes or extra towels provided. Overall the rooms feel very outdated and unkempt

They assigned me a room next to the elevator. It was extremely noisy. Couldn’t sleep well at night

Close to the Tampa Airport and close to great restaurants and places to roam the downtown area.

This is not a 4* hotel, maybe 20 years ago but not now. The prices are way too high, I would give this hotel 2* at best. The rooms are old and not well maintained, we could hear every time the room above us flushed the toilet. The only good thing was a Starbucks in the lobby. Would not recommend staying here and I will not be staying again.

Good location. The property was dated and a little beat up for the price
