Beautiful hotel with lots of amenities, right across the street from Bern’s Steakhouse. Easy walks to Hyde Park Villages.

The valet was hard to find and then they left someones keys in my car- which caused me to have to drive back to them. When I arrived- they just said "oh thanks". I know accidents happen, but there was no effort to make it right or acknowledgment of inconvenience the whole time. I thought I was paying for a nicer experience and it just fell short in my opinion.

I liked the decor and staff The AC in the first room didn’t work. The pools heater was on so the pool water was warm. I was in the apartments across from the main hotel, I would have preferred to drop and pickup my car via valet at the garage located on my side, not from the main hotel across the street.

Great location next to great restaurants and bars. Clean and large room. Wonderful shower. The free excellent coffee in the lobby was awesome as the other hotels I stayed in on this trip charged for overpriced mediocre coffee. The breakfast was excellent and the staff throughout the hotel were knowledgeable and pleasant.

Staff were professional and super polite, but not over the top and in your face. Room spacious and very clean. Housekeeping did their job well! Élevage was fantastic and drinks were top notch. Area walkable in a cute neighborhood.

The whole property smelled liked sewer gas. This place could be 5 ⭐️ but it needs a little attention to details

Our only issue was how thin the walls are in the hotel. You can hear not only the hallway noise, but your neighbors, too. This made our nights of sleep not so sound.

The Epicurean is a boutique style hotel that has a great restaurant and in an area of great restaurants. It has a wine store and markets its own wines.. which are excellent. It's clean, new and staff are helpful.

The hotel staff and property were great, super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable able the area. The only down side about The Epicurean is the pool area, it’s like a holiday in pool, it would be great if they remodel so it matches the rest of the property great features

That it was small great location The parking situation was a joke. They wanted to charge for a full day to have your car there for an hour. The valley guys were not nice. The property does not have one microwave on the property. That’s not good considering having a child that needs their bottle warmed up. The manager said they don’t even have one in their kitchen. The other negative was sitting at the pool or sitting on the patio, it always smelled like trash. I don’t know if it was from the kitchen or what but the smell was awful outside. Other than that it was a nice hotel

Food was excellent, served quickly, beautiful presentation, nice flavors, generous amounts. The staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary glass of wine on checkin was a delightful surprise after a serveral hour drive. The decor was inviting and different, food and wine inspired. Comfortable chairs and tables in the restaurant, inviting customers to linger. A small amount of noise in the morning was annoying as some repair?? was being made next door to my room.

All in all it’s a beautiful hotel. We had booked a 2 night stay in the Executive Suite which are all in a building across the street so you are disconnected from the main hotel. To go to the bar, restaurant or other facilities you had to cross the street My main problem was that the building seemed unfinished. In the small little lobby by the elevators was a big dehydrator running with cables running over the floor, which seemed pretty unsafe. No place to sit , no pictures on the wall, no decorations whatsoever. The suite was nice and spacious but again it looked unfinished and it seemed the layout of the furniture was badly planned or the furniture was ordered and didn’t fit the way they had planned. There was a lounge chair in the bedroom which obviously belonged to the sectional in the living area. The lunch chair was in front of the window which made it very difficult , almost impossible, to lower the shades. At the end of the lounge chair was a midsized table which we had to move out of the way in order to get to the closet. There was one picture over the left side of the bed which was a bit awkward. Not sure if the picture over the right side of the bed was missing? Just very strange to look at. Our toilet was not flushing at times and we had to call for maintenance twice. Some of the grout between the floor and the wall tiles was missing. Seriously a bad tile job. No table or chairs for room service dining. For $ 700 a night I would expect a little more perfection.

From the time we pulled into the vallet the service was very good. We walked in and got our room, and they gave us a glass of wine that hit the spot after a 3-hour drive. We went to the Berns steak house across the street and had the best dinner experience. Before going to dinner went to the hotel bar and the bartender was awesome and very friendly.

We were advised on hotels. Com that the valet parking was free but ended up being charged $20 for it so that should be corrected on the site.

I got the most expensive suite in one of the most expensive hotels in Tampa and my television didn’t work. Asked to be moved and they did not move me. The staff seems completely frustrated and overwhelmed & acted like I was bothering them. Check in was a joke. Very rude.

We also were supposed to receive a free breakfast that was charged to our room. The new building has no atmosphere like the original so was rather generic overalll. Also the rooftop bar was closed. We have stayed before and it was excellent. Not so much this time.

Location, and service, food was great but drinks in the room were overpriced. Location and setup it great.

The restaurant and bar were great. The room was comfortable, although the outdoor furniture was a little worn. The staff was invariably terrific! I think the hotel was extremely high priced - about double what it should have been. Perhaps we just got a really bad deal through a third party. Also, the hotel is built right next to a highway, so if you sit outside you are accompanied by traffic noise at any time, day or night.

It seems like every hotel that we have stayed in post covid waits all day to make up the room and frequently we get back after a full day out and the room still isn’t cleaned. That’s a total pet peeve of mine. However, this did not happen at the epicurean! Housekeeping made up the room right away in the morning and it was so nice to come back to a clean and organized room!! Nice stay overall.

Downstairs restaurant service was excellent even if the food wasn’t ( don’t need a pound of sugar in every dish) except for wings (best we’ve had). Upstairs restaurant service was extremely poor except for female employee who seemed to be the only person working out of 3. We ended our evening there 3 separate nights. Food selection was very limited even though everything came up from lower restaurant. A couple of evenings the weather was on the chilly side but we were never asked if we wanted the overhead heaters on ( I guess they were to busy talking to their friends and hitting on the single girls at the bar). Room was nice but there is limited dresser space to unpack ( basically forced to live out of suitcases). Shower is awesome and provided toiletries are very nice. Make sure to check your bill as I was charged for items I had prepaid for. Overall a nice hotel but recommend eating elsewhere and make sure you leave extra time for valet service and handling your own luggage.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was amazing. I stayed at hard rock 3 weeks ago and had a miserable time for more money than i spent on 3 extra nights at the Epicurean. I will absolutely be coming back and i've already recommended it to quite a few people. Awesome place to stay.

Property was great, staff was excellent and friendly. Only downfall was the hallways were so hot. Somebody did explain to us that they were exchanging the a/c some a/c units. Other than that we will be back!!!

The staff were very attentive, professional and friendly. The room and overall hotel were clean looked great. The only thing we noticed that felt ‘off’ was that the hallway and elevator lobby on our floor was hot.

We had a wonderful stay. Front desk person was very nice and welcoming. Waiter at breakfast was excellent. I cant remember his name but he was a younger man with great energy. The bartenders were also very nice.

Noise starts at 7 am through windows. no dark curtains, and limited facilities for family. Cleanliness and staff are awesome.

All in all great place, please get better coffee!

While the hotel was clean and nice looking, there are several things you need to know. First, I don't know why hotels use barn doors for bathrooms. They don't keep light and sound inside the bathroom and are noisy to use. Not great if trying not to disturb anyone in the room in the middle of the night. Next, the bathroom has a frosted glass "window" that faces into the rest of the room. Again, this does not keep light in the bathroom. If you don't want to wake your guests, you need to use the restroom in the dark. Not fun. Also, not sure if this applies to all rooms, but our bed did not use fitted sheets. I woke up every morning laying directly on a portion of the mattress with the sheets pushed off to the side. If you're like me, you never want to lay directly on a hotel mattress. I was disappointed to have this type of experience at a quality hotel. Perhaps your experience will differ, but for these reasons, I would not recommend a stay at the Epicurean.

Second trip to Tampa in the last two weeks. We chose this hotel for an overnight stay. Wow! Floored from the get go. Great vibe, friendly staff. Room was amazing! Great location near lots of cool restaurants. We fell in love with Tampa this visit. The Soho area is phenomenal. Our only complaint would be the mini bar had a fridge that wasn't cold at all. We brought our own drinks for the drive down and back but they didn't get cool at all unfortunately. Other than that, great stay. There is construction going on across the street, and cars can be heard on nearby highway but it was not that bad at night.

Super cute property. Restaurant was great too. Nice location. The only thing that I didn’t really love was the beds- not as comfy as other places but overall I would recommend this hotel.

Completely impressed, upon arrival greeting us with wine. The ambience is delightful and staff were pleasant. I will stay here again.

The maids work very hard, and it shows in their cleanliness. The room service was fast and perfect as ordered. The valet service had many attendants, and they were also very hard working. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND WOULD GO BACK! CONSIDERING I USUALLY STAY AT THE FOUR SEASONS HOTEL WHEREVER I GO ( TAMPA DOES NOT HAVE ONE) THAT SAYS A LOT WITH A MORE ECONOMICAL OPTION

Staff was exceptional from arrival to check out offering assistance and recommendations. Our dinner insight was exquisite! Can’t wait to go back and stay longer next time! The room and patio seating in our deuce room and the shower so enjoyable!

I was expecting more out of this hotel, quite honestly. On the plus side, I found the staff uniformly pleasant and professional. No issues there. And the hotel and room are quite clean and well cared-for. The room, however, was nothing special, especially considering the premium price. The downstairs bar looks nice but the service was quite slow. The rooftop bar is, in my opinion, pretty shabby-looking for what is supposed to be a boutique property. But most disappointing of all is the noise level in the hotel. Our room faced Howard Avenue, which isn't that busy at this end but was quite loud. But the thing that really bothered me was the noise from the hallways and adjoining rooms. There must be almost no insulation in the hotel because one can hear even low-level conversation clearly from the hallways and adjoining rooms. I would much rather spend the extra money to stay at the JW Marriott because at least there I feel like my money is well spend.

Only a 1 night stay but staff, property and cleanliness all 1st class .

This is a really great property that’s fun for foodies and those who like to have a drink or three. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There were some technical issues in the garage but they resolved them as soon as they could. It was a bit overpriced, but it was also clearly a popular spot. Great restaurants and liquor store on property, and walking distance to great spots and the bay walk.
