Breakfast and happy hour was great! Property could use some deep cleaning and upgrades to landscape. But room was clean and fine!
- 5/5
It was a car broken into while I was there.
- 4/5
Everything was fine except for the scalding shower water that even at its lowest setting was barely tolerable. As if the cold water is not attached to the shower.
- 5/5
Excellent service and very comfortable rooms. 😊
- 5/5
It as great! They were awesome!

$32 a day for parking as a Hilton Honors member was a little much. Managers Reception/Happy Hour was nice but should be for Adults Only. Some parents were letting their kids make dinner out of the buffet snacks. But overall a nice stay in a good location.
- 3/5
The property and room were well kept. The room was very noisy from the A/C that it needed to be shut off to watch TV. Secondly the shower control would not deliver cold water. Obviously no shower was taken. Most importantly the front desk was notified, but no one showed up to assist.
- 3/5
The room smelled like moth balls. It smelled like an older person stayed in the room prior to my check in.

Appreciate the attention with our House Keeper I was in room 811 can’t remember her name but friendly and helpful. I did enjoy the complimentary Breakfast but please make sure they are checking the coffee cups a few were not clean and also the Grits were cold and Lumpy I get it a lot of guess but the service has to be the same. Overall the experience was wonderful Joined My Line Dance Family to move a little will stay again

Todo súper bien y muy buena ubicación

My complimentary waters. The water in the bathroom did not had cold water. The breakfast was ok they had the same thing for the 2 stay. The sofa bed was super uncomfortable and it made a lot of noise. The managers reception had the same daily snacks.
- 3/5
The first room we stayed in the television didn’t work, they came to look at it and it still didn’t work. Then we left to go eat dinner and when we came back, the room smelled so strongly of pain fumes. We couldn’t stay in there and was moved. The staff was very helpful and accommodating however overall it was not worth the price we paid for the room. The new room we moved into the television didn’t work either. In addition, the pool was moldy in spots, and there was so much chlorine. Your eyes burned. It should’ve been thoroughly clean before the weekend.
- 4/5
I was disappointed that I could not get a sporting event on the tv with the channels offered
- 3/5
Convenient hotel. Room was not cleaned properly.

Clean place
- 3/5
The pool area act, a hot tub and a snack bar. The carpet needs to be replaced throughout the common areas. The whole place is old and tired and needs a major remodel.
- 3.5/5
AC did not cool room equally. Front room living area was cold and bedroom area warm. Restaurant options not the greatest. Paid parking? Corporate America is bending us over!

Nice property, very helpful staff
- 4/5
Very clean Bed was to hard and had to pay for parking.
- 4.5/5
All was great except for problems with elevators and no towels by the pool 2 of the 3 elevators were down for much of the stay
- 5/5
Clean, excellent location. Amazing view, friendly staff, amazing breakfasts
- 3/5
A/C was not working. Room was very warm for 2 days.
- 5/5
Checking in was amazingly easy. Front desk deserves the highest praise for customer service. The smiles and instantly informing me of the amenities within Embassy and good places to visit outside of Embassy.
- 5/5
I did not expect the hotel to be as nice as it was. I loved it and the location was great. They also have a shuttle service to busch gardens!
- 1/5
The towels were stained, the bathroom was dirty, the bathtub was covered in hair, the bedroom had a funky smell, and the shower gel and tissues were empty. It was a very bad experience!
- 2.5/5
Great location Room was freezing. Couldn’t adjust temp and had to turn ac off. Couldn’t take a hot shower. Was able to get water temps to warm at best but it took ages to get warm. Hard to take a cold shower in a freezing cold room

upon checkin we noticed our room smelling moldly, was told someone would check it & if the issue couldn't be resolved we would be given another room. We never heard or saw anyone even after multiple requests, the ceiling is leaking the TV didnt work, the bathroom was filthy, there was a half used roll of toilet paper, the shower floor was black, no conditioner in the bottle a hole in the closet, the couch felt like bugs were biting us & the front entry way is cracked so bad water was pouring through like a waterfall during the rain last night. We chose to go home bc after sleeping in a moldy room we are ill, ruining our park day. The only reason we gave a 2 was bc Angie at the bar & Matt were excellent & the food was decent. The only reason I chose this hotel was bc I had prior excellent experience, not so much anymore. I have documented proof of everything & plan on contacting Hilton as well bc I dont think they would be pleased.

I personally really like the building structure and architecture. It might seem silly, but I think it’s really important to like the look of the place you’re staying and I really liked it. I really liked how each unit was and that there was a glass window like future instead of the classic concrete wall at the front. It definitely stood out. It felt very homey and cozy. I liked that the room included a living space as well as a separate area for the beds. I like the size of the fridge and that there was a microwave. While I didn’t use the TV I like that there was a TV. I like the food selection for breakfast and evening reception. It might not have been the fanciest selection and collection, but it felt very home-like and that is the most important thing for me, the ease and home like feeling. I liked the lobby space and the dining area. I loved how friendly and approachable all personnel were. I just really liked everything about my stay here. It’s definitely one of my favorite hotels. In fact, I felt so comfortable that I felt this would be a perfect place for a staycation once I move to Tampa. The whole point of my trip was to find an apartment for when I move to Tampa next month, and during my trip I realized that if I ever need to find a place to rest outside of my home, I could have a staycation at the Embassy suites, just to get away from the everyday life stresses, because I would definitely like to come back, but it would be really hard to stay here if I live in Tampa already, so I have to come back for staycation. ?? I will definitely be recommending this place to any of my friends and family members who want to come visit Tampa. I think it’s safe to say based on my description above that there isn’t anything that I didn’t like about the property and my stay.

Our experience was okay. The A/C Unit was the loudest system I ever heard in my entire life. It is so noisy that I could haven’t a good night sleep.
- 5/5
Great places all staff where very helpful.
- 5/5
The hotel was excellent. Courteous and friendly staff. All were very accommodating . Happy hour was included, also breakfast the next morning. And not the usual ho hum buffet. Omelettes cooked to order. Very nice; I was impressed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Excellent choice.
- 5/5
Very good . Almost restaurant style. Definitely not the usual hotel included breakfast
- 5/5
Big rooms. Like that there is a door to separate the living room and bathroom from the bedroom. Clean and quiet. Did not hear noise from hall or other rooms. Only complaint would be the mattress but I think most people have different opinions on mattress quality.
- 3/5
Very nice hotel. However, it was almost impossible to get fresh towels and washcloths. We requested several times over 2 days and finally received them the final day of our visit. Our bathtub also had a pretty loud leaky faucet. We had to out a towel on the drain to help mute the sound. Other than those things, it was a very nice visit.
- 5/5
Todo el personal muy atento y entregado. Buena ubicación y todo muy limpio y hospitalario. Volvería muchas veces más.
- 4/5
Overall very accommodating for my stay
- 3/5
TVs didn't work. They came and fixed it using their own remotes ... the next morning the remotes again would not work with the TVs. Embassy was historically a more expensive hotel with the and improved layout/lobby, happy hour, etc. ... this time was not what I remember and expected.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and the only complaint is that the sink did not drain properly.
- 5/5
It was amazing.
- 5/5
I love it. Anna was very nice and very helpful. So was everyone else.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.
- 5/5
It’s was closed to Busch gardens like 5 minutes away ….and free breakfast and they had free drinks at 6:00 pm downstairs its was a nice touch when we came back from the park
- 5/5
Everything was very clean and staff was AMAZING. I booked a hotel for the first time for the BTS tour in Tampa and due to a unexpected situation I needed to check in early. The staff was very understanding and had my room ready. They were even very curious about the concert and let me rant about them for a minute lol. Will for sure go again.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 4/5
Breakfast was good and plenty, room was clean, staff was friendly.
- 4/5
This is a really nice hotel. The staff and amenities are first rate. The only complaint I have is the mattresses need to be replaced and upgraded.
- 2/5
The room was clean and nice. The staff were nice. Having to pay for parking is not great and the pool looked very dirty and green. We went for breakfast in the morning and the food was cold and honestly not very good quality.

Hotel was good, clean, super nice and food was good
- 4/5
More hours needed for breakfast and evening
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and clean! My only complaint was not being able to adjust the shower pressure in my room. It came out super forceful and the water was only warm. Another than that, I loved the space! The rooms are very nice.
- 5/5
Anna at the front desk was absolutely lovely. I love this hotel.
- 3/5
A lot of things are outdated but staff was really friendly

Did not know we have to pay for daily parking Had to wait for 35 minutes extra to get checked on Had to park our car in the next building 1/3 mile away and still too 3 days parking fee Safe was not working No towels or soap left in the room when checked in Daily room change was way high for such a property Will never use Expedia to book anything anymore I need a copy of the charge The embassy suites did not give me a receipt when I checked out stating that I can get it from Expedia. This is daytime. Robbery

Nice gym and pool area. Breakfast and happy hour were amazing. Wonderful place for everyone to enjoy

AC didn’t work properly. It was HOT in the room the entire stay.
- 4/5
Clean room and delicious breakfast included. My recommendation is to have transportation since there is no walking distance stores.
- 3/5
I had to wait until 5pm to get my room. I had arrived at 1pm. I had to wait longer to wait for my hypoallergenic room since the staff wanted to set me on a regular room even when I had paid premium for my reserved room. Only one employee at front desk. A queue of several guests wating. Staff at front desk with attitude. Common areas were dirty and fingerprints all over, specially in elevators. Will not stay again at this place.

Stayed one day to do a USF school tour. Hotel was right next door. Room was clean and spacious for family of five. Breakfast was fresh and amazing. The omelette station was plus. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Excellent hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Check in and out was fast. Staff very friendly. Disappointed that I had to pay for parking.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel me and my family will return.
- 3/5
Clean room.
- 3/5
The toilet was broken and in need of repair. Refrigerator was leaking water. Other than that, whoever made the decision to switch the toilets over needs to be fired
- 5/5
clean room, did not get hot water in the shower barely luke warm. Good breakfast
- 4/5
Breakfast was very good! Nice distance from Busch Gardens!
- 5/5
Great in every way
- 3/5
The shower water pressure was extremely low. No matter what time we showered during our stay. Also the satellite tv went out at least for a few minutes everyday. Once for 40 minutes while trying to watch a ball game. We tried to call down to the front desk 3 times and no one answered the phone. Breakfast was good and housekeeping was very good.

I was surprised by the lack of attention to detail oh this visit - There was less that 1/4 roll of TP in bathroom with no backup - That was nice. No coffee stirrers for making coffee in the room and AC was acting up all nite. I travelled extensively during my working days and never experienced these types of issues from Embassy in the past. It was dissappointing - especially since I paid your high price AND $20 for the privilege of parking there.
- 5/5
This is my "go-to" when I'm in Tampa!!
- 5/5
Great property! Getting older, could use bathroom work. But as with most embassy suites great people continues to have a great program for the past 40 years and can be depended on.
- 3/5
The overall cleanliness of the hotel was ok- not excellent. All common area carpets needed vacuumed, dining area was not well kept- food debris on floor and tables/ seating. Our bathroom had hair on the floor and I killed two flying bugs in our room. The beds were not comfortable at all. The bedding was clean and fresh.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay very much. Air conditioning was not working properly, and it was set to 68. We froze. But loved the place still.
- 3/5
The location was convenient and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately the hotel didn’t live up to the expectations for the price. Some areas of the property seem to need maintenance and better
- 5/5
Great staff
- 2/5
The beds were very uncomfortable, but the worst was the HVAC system was very, very noisy and produced little cold air into the bedroom area.
- 5/5
Meets standard
- 4/5
The mattresses were not very comfortable. The breakfast selection was not the best either. You have to make a very long line if you want a decent omelette. This hotel is not cheap and on top of that they make you pay for parking. The rooms were clean and spacious.
- 5/5
Bar could open before 5pm. Other than that all was good
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable
- 4/5
We had some issues getting into the room because of a broken lock (4 for property condition). The staff took care of it as fast as they could. Otherwise, the room was great, the open bar was great. The area is full of bars, restaurants and very safe.

- 5/5
Lovely . They answered all of my request . Shout out to Lawrence !!!
- 5/5
Room, staff, amenities, and environment were all wonderful.
- 5/5
Nice clean room and staff. Our room was a little strange in that the electricity was mis wired. The bathroom light controlled one of the plugs for the bed lamp and there was no plug close by for the other bed lamp. Other than that, I would stay there again.
- 5/5
However after 9:30 AM, the breakfast staff, would let things like watermelon go empty. Beer during happy hour is Bud light. Bud light is hardly beer. Please give us variety! Phone lines were having issues!

Unable to adjust AC, bath tub was rusted. Trouble getting the shower to spray it kept also pouring from the tub spout. Room carpet was dirty and old. There was a air purifier going and that concerned me for mold.

Clean room ,great breakfast, easy check in and check out. Parking was a bit much.

The room is very nice and clean. I stayed in the king suite. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The outside and inside the hotel are clean and well maintained. The hotel offers free breakfast and complimentary two free alcholic drinks in the evening. The only problem I had was i had to pay $15 for self parking each night.
- 5/5
Staff was nice, great breakfast and even a complimentary happy hour.
- 5/5
Staff very friendly, comfortable bed, great breakfast
- 5/5
Great USF location. Clean room with comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast. Great stay. Be aware that they charge $13 per day for parking!!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, very clean, great rooms, great free breakfast and afternoon get together snack time for guests. Would definitely stay there again. Thoughts - why is it that the more expensive the hotel, the more they charge for the small things? Don't really understand the daily charge for parking. You park in the hotel's normal parking lot, not a guarded parking garage.
- 2/5
The room was not satisfactory, water pressure was low and no hot water during a really cold night and no thermostat to control the temperature level in the room
- 4/5
Breakfast location friendliness of staff
- 3/5
The bedroom needs a little upgrade.
- 5/5
Everything about Embassy Suites on Spectrum Drive is tops! The rooms are very clean, the staff is excellent and the breakfast is amazing. We NEVER stay anywhere else in Tampa.
- 4/5
Staff: Extremely kind and welcoming. Breakfast: The 6:30 AM start time is too late for early-rising business travelers—please consider opening earlier. Parking: Very disappointed with the "pay-by-phone" system; hotels should offer complimentary parking for guests.

Incredibly disappointed, especially by Hilton standards. The bathrooms had mold and mildew in the corners. There was no hot water for the showers. At best it got to a lukewarm temperature. The air conditioning did not work properly. It rattled and did not cool the room. Temperatures stayed over 80 degrees in the room. The shower leaked with a substantial dripping noise. Luckily the rattling air drowned that out! The breakfast was okay. However I had to go to a special line that was not posted to ask for breakfast meat. In general it looked like they cut way too many corners, death by a thousand paper cuts. I’ve stayed at Motel 6 rooms with results!
- 3/5
Dripping faucet and loud fridge made it hard to sleep
- 1/5
No hot water, terrible customer service from the breakfast staff, many issues. The staff also does not answer the phones. Had to check out early and requested a full refund, waiting on status
- 4/5
Rooms are big with 2 TV's. Has decent breakfast and evening happy hour complimentary. Paid parking is confusing as they don't explain it. There are signs telling you to use your phone to pay for parking. My phone doesn't have any payment options on it. Terrible system.
- 3/5
The best part of my stay was Anna the front desk associate! She truly was amazing! Aside from that the hotel only gets 3 stars because the bathroom shower was terrible, the water pressure was not it, and the shower head was broken. Then we were woken up at 7:30 to a fire alarm. I know that’s not the hotels fault but my god. It was okay good for a night.
- 2/5
Dirty hotel, there were no towels in the bathroom, when we received them one of the face towels was dirty, the room was smelly
- 5/5
👍 great
- 2/5
Breakfast was great. The room didn’t look too clean. There was no conditioner or towels. Front desk was not answering the phone. They told ua they only had 2 towels.
- 1/5
awful trip nowhere to put garbage and even though we called daily and begged no housekeeping pool ice cold overall place gross
- 1/5
Breakfast was good, was fresh, the problem was at our check-in, room was not ready, was dirty, one of our belongings is lost and they cant give us an answer, bathroom is missing the door strike so has handles but cant be locked, sink was almost clogged, very slow drain.
- 2/5
very bad service will not visit again, the service is really bad
- 3/5
The air conditioning does not cool down properly. From the moment I entered to the next morning when we left the room was not properly cooled down. Vents barely blow cold air. The same happened to other friends staying in a different room in same floor 5.
- 5/5
The staff at this location was seriously the most courteous of any hotel I’ve stayed at. Inclusive of much higher-end hotels. From the front desk, to the facilities manager, to the dining cleaning staff, and to the drivers of the free shuttle. It was an outstanding experience.
- 4/5
Good room, but a/c was not cooling the place
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend.
- 3/5
Hotel lobby and other common areas were clean and well maintained. Rooms were also clean but smelled a bit musty. A/C was not working properly in 1 room, but was repaired upon request. Food quality at the breakfast buffet was average at best and ran low around 9am and was not replenished.
- 1/5
The staff was rude and did not explain the parking. Which you’re required to pay and payment is only accepted by an QR code with a credit card. The meal that I ordered was under cooked and I had to get a new meal. The facility is older and could use a major upgrade. This is on a college campus and this facility should not look run down. Overall I would not stay at this facility again. I did speak with the manager and he attempted to compensate with a two night stay but I declined.
- 4/5
Very nice and clean
- 3/5
Yes
- 2/5
Room had multiple things broken and were reported but not actually fixed.
- 4/5
Excellent room, comfortable beds and very clean and well appointed. Outstanding breakfast, ample self parking. Can improve plumbing maintenance and provision of bathroom supplies.
- 1/5
Our door lock was demagnetized. At night a fire alarm was blaring and the hotel was evacuated. We were not offered any compensation for the inconvenience.
- 4/5
Courteous staff at check in, and an amazingly comfortable bed in a nice room.
- 5/5
The location, which was close to the USF campus, and the amenities (breakfast and happy hour).
- 3/5
Location of the property was extremely convenient. Staff was great and resourceful, lobby was clean and nice smelling! Room mirror was nice and bed comfortable; however the shower water was lukewarm at best. Also had to pay for parking at the property...
- 5/5
Awesome stay all great Breakfast was the best !
- 5/5
Love the bedding and three pillows each.
- 5/5
The room was large and comfortable, but dark. More and brighter lighting would help. Anna at check-in is great! She is friendly, helpful and efficient and is a definite asset to the hotel. The biggest problem with my stay was the FREEZING temperature of the lobby, restaurant and entire main floor. Everything else was great.
- 5/5
Always perfect
- 5/5
Love it there the rooms ste always do clean snd the staff is great!!!
- 5/5
The staffing was friendly and helpful, the bedrooms were nice and clean, only thing was paying for parking on my phone was new
- 5/5
Rooms were great, breakfast was yummy, transport was fun. Best spot to stay for Busch Gardens vacation.
- 5/5
Great location ease safe and quiet. Specially interiors are designed very well
- 3/5
The night staff at front desk was amazing. The woman worked very hard to assist with all my needs. Overall a great stay besides paying for parking. This was a surprise. Its 15$ a night for parking. Wow!!
- 3/5
Check in was very slow! On a busy weekend like Thanksgiving there should have been more than one person doing check in! The line was very long even though the concierge was doing her best!
- 5/5
Close to Busch Gardens with shuttle
- 1/5
Drains were clogged, no luggage carts upon arrival, ac was not working right, alot of issues
- 2/5
Ask for towels as soon as you check-in. No towels forced to use hand towels to dry up after a shower.
- 5/5
menu was fresh parking was easy
- 4/5
Breakfast didn’t open until 6:30 so we were unable to try it, but looked good. Room 408 the air purifier is broken. Staff was very nice, especially the front desk clerk. He was very apologetic because our room wasn’t ready. He quickly moved us to another room and gave us a welcome gift. I will definitely be back!
- 1/5
Not hot water. in the morning the room smells a lot of food.
- 5/5
Clean, good breakfast, great location for medical complexes and USF campus.
- 1/5
not great
- 5/5
Great rooms with separate bedroom and living room with kitchen in the middle. Two huge televisions and you can plug in a blu-ray or DVD easily. If you bring a plug-in electric stove you'll have everything an extended stay hotel would have. Majestic lobby with skylights and courtyard with stream of water and live plants. But what made this stay was the staff who was super friendly. Anna at the front desk greeted me, Rhaunda on the skillet made my eggs every morning and the lovely Bayleigh offers vacation packages as part of the sales team.
- 5/5
Always a good hotel. 👍
- 5/5
It was a nice hotel everybody enjoyed it, and everything was clean
- 5/5
Free breakfast ends at 9 which seems super early. There was a line of 10 people at 8:57am. I drove 450 miles here from a different time zone where it was 8am.
- 5/5
best hotel, spacious and clean rooms, nice overall ambience. easy check-in and out. Happy hour program is amazing, Mat is one of the best host you will meet. The restaurant inside the hotel is also good, quality is good. overall a best place to stay.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff, great breakfast!
- 5/5
Room clean, great staff, great food!!
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing! The amenities were great and the continental breakfast was the best!
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay
- 5/5
Sizable rooms. Lovely facilities. Wish the room service menu had more options.
- 4/5
I also needed to extend my stay by one extra day, but instead of a simple adjustment, I was charged additional fees that made the overall cost higher than expected. It felt frustrating since I was already an existing guest. I’ve stayed at other Embassy Suites properties and usually enjoy their comfort and service, so I’m hoping this was just an off experience for the Tampa location. With a little more attention to cleanliness and guest flexibility, this hotel could easily live up to the brand’s great reputation.
- 5/5
This was a wonderful stay. Looking forward to staying again.
- 1/5
My room had no heat the sent maintenance and he asked how did I get in this room I said with a key he said this room is out of service I said that explains the tools on the table when I came in last night. I went to the desk they assigned a new room which was occupied imagine my surprise walking in on a couple well imagine their surprise at 8 am while sleeping it took several hours to get a new room and that made us miss our plans this was a trip from hell only 2 days coming from Atlanta I’m so glad to arrive home they did not refund me the service was horrible I can you imagine being freezing cold in Tampa
- 5/5
I didn't like having to pay parking. I'd rather you put it in the price so I don't know about it
- 4/5
I have been using this hotel for many years. I love embassy suites. I did not realize they were owned by Hilton now and they made changes for the worse. For one they used to provide you a parking pass but now you have to pay. The shuttle will drop you off at Busch Gardens but stops running at 10pm when they used to run until park closed and drive you back to the hotel. Wish they would change it back.
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Nice room
- 5/5
everything was great thank you
- 5/5
Very nice area friendly service all the way around
- 1/5
Rooms weren’t ready upon my 6pm arrival time. Room I was given had dirty counter tops as well as the table, trash was not emptied. I was originally given a king bed room, I paid for 2 doubles. For a hotel with 200 plus rooms 1 of the elevators was down, how convenient. None of the ice machines worked the front desk was not helpful at all. Breakfast was just ok, this particular Embassy keeps the meats behind the counter at the omelette station, which I did not understand as well. Parking was ok, this isn’t one of those hotels with other entrances which created so much traffic in and out the front doors.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Very nice, huge rooms and close to Busch Gardens!
- 5/5
Clean room and move staff
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, the food was excellent, and the staff was amazing. The mattress was uncomfortable amd the furniture was outdated.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of accommodations.
- 2/5
Should have been told I had to pay to park when I booked
- 5/5
Breakfast was great, the omelette station was the best. The happy hour was great too.
- 4/5
The room was spacious and comfortable enough, but not spotless — it was clean enough to stay in, though some areas could use more attention. There were heating and dripping water issues from the bathtub, which made the bathroom feel damp at times. Housekeeping was polite but seemed limited — they didn’t have air freshener available when I asked, which would have helped freshen the space. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent with a nice variety of hot and cold options, and the staff working the dining area were friendly and attentive. The location is convenient — close to the university, restaurants, and only a short drive from the airport. The evening reception with snacks and drinks was also a great touch. The biggest drawback for me was still the lack of wired internet or Ethernet ports, which made remote work difficult. Pros: • Spacious suite layout • Great complimentary breakfast and evening reception • Convenient, safe location Cons: • Minor maintenance issues (leaky tub, heating) • No air freshener available through housekeeping • No wired internet or Ethernet ports for secure work connections Overall, it’s a comfortable hotel with friendly staff, but it could be much better with some attention to maintenance and in-room details.
- 5/5
The location is very convenient. The check-in time is kind of late.
- 4/5
We stay at this hotel for business, and when visiting our child in school at USF.
- 5/5
The staff at the reception area and the breakfast area were fantastic.
- 5/5
It was great!
- 4/5
The room was huge but the halls were paper thin. I heard my neighbor partying from the time we arrived to our room until 4 in the morning. Don’t get me wrong she had a beautiful singing voice but that was not what I wanted to hear from nearing half the night. The hotel charges you to park on the property when you first arrive there was a concert going on that Saturday and when we arrived back to the hotel there was no parking spaces at the hotel we had to park in a field next to the hotel and walk what felt like a mile to the hotel then had to get up at 12 am to go move my vehicle smh. Hotel was beautiful the breakfast was good just had to wait to get a clean table to sit at. Perfect location
- 4/5
The food was good. Staff was pleasant and the facility was clean. However, it was very cold in the building and i was t pleased about no cash accepted.
- 4/5
Good breakfast. Unfortunately it was to cold in the lobby area, so the food got cold instantly. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
The facility was wonderful and happy hour and breakfast were great. However, the dining table in our room had not been cleaned and we found a shrimp tail on the floor. The nightstand had rings left from a glass
- 3/5
NA
- 5/5
The only bad thing I can say is about the breakfast and that would be being picky. The place is clean and the staff is friendly making sure all is good. Kennice helped top nocth. This migjt be our new place when we come to Tampa.
- 5/5
…
- 5/5
The room and commun areas were too cold at our arrival, but we really enjoyed our stay overall.
- 1/5
My first impression of this hotel aesthetically was that it was in dire need of renovation. I arrived to the hotel at 2pm and Justin told me there would be a $50 early check-in fee. I refused to pay and sat until 3 in the lobby. At 3 I went back and with Justin looking on with a smirk, Oisho told me it would still be $50. This is greedy and silly and I told them so. If I arrived at 9am I could understand. Justin seemed to take enjoyment at that point to tell me that there were people ahead of me “that paid $75” for early check in. I asked Oisho if I could speak to the manager. He said she was the office manager. I told her that I meant the GM and they did not give me that person’s name. This is not what I expect from Hilton. This is a greedy and gross property. The property is rundown inside. The nicest area is the restaurant area with the water feature. The bed was uncomfortable and the room felt damp. I will not return.
- 3/5
The hosts and room was great and enjoyable. Unfortunately the restrooms were a mess and 2 elevators were not working. The other customers were rude and not responsible with their children.
- 2/5
Tired hotel in need of update. Charged us $50 to get into our room an hour early! Rude front desk. Bad customer service.
- 2/5
We had accessible room with wet carpet in the room. Room smelled like a wet dog.
- 3/5
Hotel pretty clean overall. Needs to be updated ASAP!! Great location to Bush Gardens and USF.
- 5/5
Great place to stay for a Busch Gardens excursion. Plenty of dining options in the area too. Will be back again!
- 1/5
I took my nieces and nephew to Busch Gardens for the day so we didn't get to the hotel to check in until after 8pm. I had a reservation for a room with 2 queen beds, well the management gave our room away without contacting us. So instead they gave us a room with one bed. ONE for four people. They gave me a snack bag and a cot, like that is supposed to make everything better. Needless to say, I was really unhappy.
- 4/5
It’s was the perfect location for my event. Breakfast & Happy Hour was great! Friendly staff
- 3/5
They were not prepared for parents’ weekend even though they are literally on the campus. Need a better pool and pool furniture
- 4/5
Went for USF Family weekend. Good breakfast. Comfy rooms.
- 5/5
The staff was great. William is a great gentle manager. A lot of staff members made this a very memorable trip. Thank you Matt for your great service. We really enjoyed talking with you.
- 2/5
The a/c didn't work. had to turn it off to keep from freezing The bed was comfortable, but no other place to sit in bedroom to watch tv/ Nice view of trees
- 1/5
From the beginning, the staff seemed confused and rude. I had originally reserved 2 nights from Hotels.com and the dates were incorrect. Because of this I was charged an additional $50 for my first nights stay with a new rate than what I was being charged for the reservation. I was told they would remedy the situation and I wouldn't need to worry when I checked out. So I checked out and then was told I would be charged for the additional night, even though I wasn't staying an extra night. The staff told me I needed to contact hotels.com, which I did and then was referred from them to contact the Embassy staff. The staff member was very abrasive in her tone and raised her voice with me (in front of my kid). Between the unknown additional parking fees, air conditioning that was incredibly loud, room service that didn't leave us any towels and the poor service at dinner, needless to say we'll never refer anyone to stay here or come back.
- 5/5
Anna at the front desk was awesome. Didn’t care much for how to pay for parking. Crazy to pay for parking when you booked a room. Should be included already.
- 5/5
My favorite was the science fiction convention and all the wonderful people.
- 5/5
Only complaint is that the cleaning staff tried to come into our room without knocking which startled us
- 5/5
Best property if you’re visiting the Moffitt Center. Super convenient, comfortable and well equipped for anything you might need.
- 5/5
I had an issue with my room AC, front desk took care of it by switching my room immediately. She was very nice and happy to help
- 5/5
All good
- 3/5
On the downside booked a two double and was put in a king room which was smaller. Cover to refrigerator freezer was broke and fell out every time you opened it. And the bedroom carpet smelled like chemicals used to cover up pet odor/stains. No toiletries in bathroom. Towels were subpar. This hotel is in serious need of a complete remodel.
- 3/5
Checking in was less than optimal. Our room wasn’t ready at 4pm. We were told we were going to be texted when the room was ready and that didn’t happen. At 5 pm we went back and the room has been ready. 😞 Breakfast and happy our was great and we enjoyed it.
- 3/5
Room smelt very bad. Had to pay to park?!?!
- 5/5
Large, clean room. Hotel was quiet and staff was welcoming. Breakfast had a buffet option but also fresh omelettes. There was also a bar and restaurant in the hotel.
- 5/5
The room was incredibly warm & humid which heavily impacted sleeping
- 3/5
My advice… raise the price of the room and have ‘free’ parking. What a pain in the butt…
- 5/5
Food, shopping and Busch Garden was nearby
- 5/5
Angie at the bar was great, food was yummy, room was spacious and they have TUBI!! Loved it. I’ll be back whenever I’m in Tampa again!!
- 5/5
Didn’t have any silver or plastic ware in the kitchen area, that’s about it.
- 5/5
Front desk very helpful
- 5/5
Breakfast was good
- 5/5
The name on the TV when you came into your room
- 5/5
Very clean and nice staff, would recommend to anyone!
- 5/5
Did not get a welcome gift at check in. Location was quiet and convenient.
- 1/5
Pool was out of order, not stated on website.
- 1/5
No shampoo , no shower gel in the bathroom
- 3/5
We went for a concert at yuengling which was about a mile away. Many other guests walked to the concert. We were offered a complimentary shuttle but since it stopped running at 9:45, we declined. That was a bonus to know of this though. The bed was unfortunately the worst. The following morning, i had neck issues. Breakfast was amazing as always. The evening reception consisted of potato chips, pretzels, cheez its and m&m's. I was mainly there for the 2 free alcoholic drinks. Overall, I'd return
- 4/5
Pool was under construction. Wish we knew before. Toilet was difficult flushing and a/c was uncontrollable. Had to get maintenance twice . We were 6 adults, the premium suite not oh enough for 6 . Need upgrades in bathroom (double sink)..
- 3/5
The pool wasn't open, it was the only bad thing
- 1/5
Before I booked I called the hotel to make sure the pool would be open for my granddaughter. The staff assured me it was and the hours of operation. I booked my room and upon arrival, the pool was closed down for repairs. The front desk said it has been closed for a week already and did not know why someone would tell me otherwise. They offered an apology for my Expensive room-plus parking fees. Never again!!!
- 5/5
Pet friendly, clean, convenient to Moffitt medical facilities
- 3/5
Room smelled like stale smoke. Front desk people were nice.
- 3/5
Hotel and room nice but A/C unit was very loud and would wake you from sleeping. Had to turn unit off to get some sleep
- 5/5
Very clean and easily accessible
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
A/C unit very loud, could not watch tv in living area
- 4/5
Convenient location. Good breakfast and nice happy hour reception. Only one of three elevators worked, so accessing our room was slow. Also, we were surprised by a parking fee, even though the hotel advertised free parking.
- 4/5
Staff was fantastic and accommodating from the moment we arrived (very early) and requested an early check-in ,to the end of our stay. The rooms need updating and definitely some air freshening and window cleaning. And while it rained for two of the three days we were there, we were not informed prior to making reservations that the pool is closed for maintenance. But the place is in a super convenient location and the staff is amazing and it is what it is. It certainly was not dirty. Just needs sprucing and freshening up. Parking was always available.
- 3/5
5 minute driving to Busch Gardens but definitely there are other much better and reasonable priced options nearby.
- 5/5
Very friendly service from all staff members we interacted with. The check in staff made the process seemless. The cleaning staff was very helpful and kind.
- 4/5
but overall noce
- 4/5
We were in town to go to Busch Gardens and the hotel was only a 5 min drive there which was really nice after a long day at the park. Hotel was nice, all the staff were so polite and helpful, and breakfast had a lot of options. The room was big enough for 4 adults, a child and 2 dogs! I would say the only complaints I had was that 2 of the 3 elevators weren’t working for a full day and we were on the top 8th floor and had to wait a long time to go up or down. So walking our 2 dogs became a long task. Other than that it was a great time.
- 3/5
No pool and no one told us. Room was very dirty.
- 5/5
Amazing birthday trip!
- 4/5
We had a great time, breakfast was good staff were friendly and hotel rooms were spacious.
- 5/5
Big rooms. Very clean. Love happy hour and breakfast. Super convenient to campus. Wish the pool was nice.
- 4/5
Had issues with television signal/reception a couple of nights. Also, upon arrival noticed during check-in that the attendant gave water to guest in line before and after me…but didn’t offer water to me. Other than this, rest of staff and stay was excellent.
- 5/5
Great place and location especially for drop offs at USF. Only downside is paying for parking. It should just be in the price.
- 4/5
Bathroom sink was completely clogged. I have waited 15 minutes to water to drain. That’s gross. We paid more money for to have better services and cleanliness
- 4/5
I have enjoyed staying there the last 5 times that I have stayed. The staff is great. The breakfast, as well as their happy hour are both great. My room wasn’t serviced until 4:00 one day, and wasn’t serviced at all the next day. If you want to tip, either bring change, or put it on your card, or room. Be aware that you have to make additional fee for parking on property.
- 2/5
We’ve spent numerous trips at this location, however this will be our last. Every time we visit, something goes wrong. For $200 per night, I don’t expect bedsheets to be thrust into my arms and told to make up the sofa bed myself!
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Very nice property in good location- on USF campus and close to Busch Gardens. Hotel shuttle made going back and forth to Busch Gardens very easy.
- 4/5
The customer service at this hotel was top notch all around. The staff at check in were friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good and well prepared. The location was convenient for our daughter's dorm move in. It was a safe, well lit area. The bed was comfortable. The shower is an old bathtub/shower combo. I would like to see those renovated. The carpet needed to be vacuumed before and during our stay. Other than that, no complaints. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 5/5
Beautiful great stay!
- 2/5
The bathroom had a poorly working shower valve and diverter, the toilet was running and the area around the tub was dirty. Additionally, the AC wasn’t operating properly. At 68F it should have been much colder in the room and it wasn’t. Felt humid. There was only one staff member at check in. Unlikely that I would stay again.
- 5/5
The food options are great. My family loves the pool
- 2/5
The pillows were all completely flat I needed to use all 4 to reg and get comfortable. And while the AC ran all night it stayed so cold in the living area and muggy in the bedroom area. After 3 different stays we will not be staying again. A shame b/c it is on the USF campus where my son is attending school.
- 4/5
It’s close to Moffitt
- 1/5
The staff was amazing. The rooms, however were damp and smelled of mildew. The first room had an AC leak, the second room just smelled bad and the beds looked so worn out I thought I was in a run down motel from the 1980’s.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent and the Hilton Honors Vacation Brand Ambassador Mathew was excellent for another unfortunate incident l had.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay it was pleasant
- 3/5
I don’t like paying for parking.
- 4/5
Very comfortable bed
- 5/5
Anna was awesome
- 4/5
Check in was a little slow because there was only one lady at the reception but she was very kind and we were welcomed with two complimentary waters as well as two complimentary happy hour drinks. The free breakfast the next morning was great! Our room was clean and spacious but the bed was very uncomfortable. It felt like I was laying in an indentation of the bed. Perhaps that mattress was old and worn and needs to be replaced. I tossed and turned all night with my back aching from it. The sink in the bathroom also was backing up whenever used and it wasn’t noticed until we were getting ready to go to bed and o my there one night so not worth calling the desk to have someone come unclog because we were exhausted & about to get into bed. Other than those two things, everything else was great. Will definitely consider staying again if in the area in the future.
- 4/5
It was a good place to stay. I felt safe.
- 5/5
We stay here every time we go to Busch Gardens.
- 4/5
The bathroom was not clean enough that sheetneed to be changed every day there was not and they don’t have no napkin no shower gel
- 1/5
I was moved three times the first room #333 smelled like mildew was moved to room #324 bathroom was leaving floor wet with water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom was moved to another room it was a lil better breakfast was garbage
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and spacious. The breakfast was the best free breakfast I’ve had at any hotel! Staff was super friendly and the hotel is literally a mile or two away from everywhere (food, Publix or shopping stores)
- 2/5
The food was good. The plumbing was terrible and the rooms were not very clean.
- 1/5
There was no AC at this hotel. The staff all know there is no AC they don’t move you to another room. The temperature doesn’t go below 78 degrees. Staff is rude. I do not recommend staying at this hotel or any Embassy.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, conveniently located next to the hospital. I like the air purification availability in room selection and also the filter in the shower head for the water. The breakfast in the morning included an omelette station, which was nice.
- 5/5
Perfect location great amenities nice staff
- 5/5
Easy to attend function at the hotel. Check in/out easy. The food could have been better but it was nice that it was included in price.
- 5/5
Overall enjoyed the weekend. All the staff were vety friendly and were able to assist me with anything I needed. I will definitely be returning
- 2/5
The room had a musty smell, and the room service had an issue with providing towels.
- 5/5
Embassy hotel near buch garden was a exalent choice..I got lots of sleep and I found everything i needed in the area..Will stay again with out a doubt 🙋♂️
- 5/5
I liked the way the room was set up.
- 5/5
The property is in a convenient, safe, and quiet location. It's walkable to the college, shopping and dining options, and local attractions. With that said, the property also provides transportation for those in need. Overall, I would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Todo estuvo muy bien solo que no habían toallas suficientes en la habitación
- 3/5
Also charged me and deposit plus a nightly fee even though I had already paid through Expedia. Had to call customer service to take care of it.
- 2/5
Unfortunately, couldn’t change the room because we had a double handicap and were in need of staying there due to visiting the Moffit Cancer center We were there from a Friday through Monday and although the purifier was running all weekend long, the smell never went away and to top it off they leave the air conditioners off between rentals, which idoes not help apparently it’s an issue with these 31 rooms. Avoid those that end with 31 Staff is nice and breakfast is good But I would not stay there again Management should check for mold
- 2/5
I’ve stayed in multiple Embassy suites in the past. This one by far has been the worst experience with this brand. I had a total of 4 rooms for my family. On room had a leak in it when we arrived. Another room had the toilet to overflow in the middle of the night without being used. The 3rd room had a sewer smell each time the toilet flushed. And the 4th room’s AC didn’t work. All of these issues were brought to the attention of the front desk and they didn’t seem to concerned nor try to make an effort!
- 5/5
El hotel es muy limpio, su desayuno es súper bueno ya que tiene una barra para omelets o huevos al gusto, está muy cerca del parque bush garden y tienen trasporte al mismo llamando a un teléfono desde las 9 am a 9 pm.
- 5/5
From start to finish this was a truly great hotel experience. Called a couple days prior asked about shuttle service- friendly and kind attitude. We arrived 530 Friday evening, easy check in. Clean hotel, rooms were fresh smelling, lobby and overall would stay again. Pool was refreshing and clean. Even with a couple events happening the hotel wasnt loud or obnoxious. The shuttle drivers were great.
- 4/5
Great staff, easy check in, good breakfast, easy parking. I definitely recommend. A small suggestion, it would help esthetics greatly if the round about river pond in the courtyard was working. Was a bit of an eye sore but Im a property manager that cant leave work at home Lol
- 5/5
Staff were friendly, everthing was clean and neat, breakfast was excellent!
- 5/5
Close to Busch gardens
- 1/5
Reserved two rooms 3 weeks prior to stay. Requested connecting rooms, if not possible rooms next to each other. We were placed on opposite sides of the 8th floor. The door for one of the rooms was non functioning so we were locked out of our room for 3 hours and were unable to enter. We were told the battery on the door needed to be replaced, but the technician was on break so we would have to wait. Finally, a manager came and manually unlocked the door and told us we would not be able to get back in if we left because the battery needed to be replaced. We were offered no compensation for this ridiculous inconvenience. The rooms both smelled like mold, the air condition vents were filthy and were incredibly loud. Housekeeping took our towels the following two mornings and did not replace, we had to physically go to the front desk and wait for towels to be handed to us. The last night we stayed, the guests in the room next door were incredibly loud and rude from 10pm until 3 am, even after multiple calls to the front desk, nothing was done. Don't get me started on the food, The eggs tasted like they were frozen, microwaved, frozen again, left out to thaw, then served. Worst stay ever and my family was so happy when it was over.
