House keeping Are nice and the owner is nice as well but having trouble getting money back because I paid with my card on booking.com and bay inn got it but canceled it so I had to pay cash and now I've been getting the run around from front desk.

It was a good stay. Didn't have any issues.

The room was extremely small bath small bed no good each time I move in the bed it metal thunder sounds do to the bed bottom is metal Cooper bugs flying in room house keeping only came once that is not a place to go stay if you traveling. Housekeeping terrible they never came to clean.

My bed had someone else’s hair on it. This tells me they just remade the bed after someone checked out. It gave me the ick.

This was a perfectly serviceable, if older and less shiny, hotel. It was clean enough, although the floor could stand more mopping. It was located in the right area for our needs. The beds and linens were new and comfortable. There was a pool, though we didn't have time to use it, that looked nice. The place felt safe enough. Nothing glowing to say, but it did the trick.

The hotel room smelled like smoke, although it was a smoke free room. Room looked like it’s never been deep cleaned. Pillows were thrown on the bed. I didn’t even want to sleep on the bed or have my bare feet on the floors. I refused to stay here & ended up having to book another hotel minutes before I had to go to a wedding rehearsal. I’ve stayed at other BayInns but this one very much like a motel.

The place is totally run down. The pictures do not do it justice. Absolutely would not recommend booking here.

Beds were comfy, rooms well insulated from outside noise. Well-lit at night on property and in stairwell which was a plus since we only stayed one night to attend a concert and therefore returned to the hotel very late. Nice for a one-night stay. Close to Busch Hardens and Raymond James Stadium and has a nice-sized pool.

Cleaning needs more work at this place staff is friendly plenty of parking.over all this place needs a little tlc.

The room was dirty, first night I found a cockroach in the bathroom, the bathtub was rusted, bed covers had a holes, in the morning the the housekeeper instead of knocking on the door, she just opened the door without asking first, we were at sleep and we got so scared because it was just me and my daughter and before we left we put the sign on the door and still they entered the room. Never again, was the worse experience ever.

If your looking just for one night to stay is fine but wouldn’t recommend woman to stay . Sketchy place , sketchy people. My room was dirty when I arrived. Not enough amenities. Microwave was not working at all and mini fridge wasn’t cold enough. Room was sketchy too . My door did not have a safety lock. My room door has a bullet mark and bedsheet filled with cigarette burns . Staff was ok but needs more customer service. Also housekeeper came in barging in my room without my permission. She had a key to get in . She kept asking me to tip . Don’t have to force to ask me. Besides not letting her inside the room , I just gave the stuff to her and that’s it and still asking for tip . Overall did not feel comfortable here .

The room was clean and the bedding was clean. The staff was so accommodating. If I have any complaints it would be that there’s a copper stain in the bathroom and the tub drain plug seemed broken. Everything else was perfectly fine.

Room was ok when it comes to the cleaniness but the staff, especially the office staff, were rude and talked to me like I was a stray dog and the cleaning lady kept opening my room door without permission and doesn't even speak English so I was unable to communicate with her. I asked her repeatedly to not open my door without permission but since she couldn't understand English she kept doing it. 1 of the ladies that works the front desk came banging on my door about the room payment, which I had already paid for the previous night online via Expedia in which she repeatedly called me a liar and her attitude towards me and my best friend, who is handicapped. We had cockroaches gallore in our room as well and had to throw out half of the food we had just bought the previous day due to the bugs. Our refrigerator didn't even shut and was not cold whatsoever so the milk soured after only being in there not ever 24 hours. And it was dirty and had bugs in it as well and also the microwave. The morning of check out they came banging on the door yet once again demanding that we have less than 5 mins to checkout and again my best friend is handicapped and is unable to move around like that. There were stains on our bed sheets and the toilet and shower were dirty and hair in the drain of the shower.

The location does not seem to be the safest. We were there for one night due to a work event, and he was the only available place near where we need to be. The first room we got was on the second floor, next to a room that was occupied and had the family members speaking on the phone on speaker, outside the rooms, with the volume on high, while smoking cigarettes and a joint; making the room and hallway smell. We asked to change rooms, and the second one we got smelled like cigarettes, the floor was dirty. The bed covers were stained. The bathroom was not cleaned. The sink counter had hairs all over the blinds were stained, and the towels too.

Staff was nice and polite, but this hotel needs a major overhaul. The window curtains were stained and had holes in it. The safety latch for the door had been torn off. The towels are old and worn. The room looked like it was still the 70’s!!

The property doesn't look like much from the outside. I felt a little scared checking in due to the looks and condition of the property and the surrounding community, but the "lobby" has a list of rules, regulations, and policies tacked onto a bulletin board that I believe make it a pretty safe place to be. The staff does not allow unannounced guests on the property, loitering, and require photo IDs from everyone. I was not impressed with room cleanliness, however. The floor needed a good sweep and mop, the hot water worked 25% of the time, and the comforters and sheets, while clean, were not in the most impressive shape. A/C worked amazing, and for the price, I would consider revisiting the Bay Inn for a SHORT stay. Good place to stay if you are a cheap traveler like myself.

Front desk person was very rude and dismissive and would not allow me to speak when i was trying to explain my situation as i had some workers show up to stay at the hotel. They refused to work with me on changing the name on the reservation and told me i could not get a refund. Horrible customer service and overall experience.

The room was enough for me and my 4 kids to sleep peacefully. The tv had cartoons for the kids. The water pressure and temperature were amazing. I also got to examine the room before submitting payment for my deposit. I was also over 4 hours late checking in with no issues

I booked a room for 3 nights but ended up not staying more than 10 minutes. The room smelled like a smoking room. The conditions were poor. The bathtub had rust and grime. The couch in the room looked very sketchy like it had been taken off the curb. I'm convinced I did not see the same pictures when I booked a month ago, because I definitely would not have booked if these pictures were the same. I was told I would still be charged for 1 night and am still waiting for the rest back along with the temporary deposit.

It was a late check in around midnight. It was a horrible experience. The room smelled it was so gross bugs in bathroom not even sure what it was. The lock was broken on top. Police came for someone smoking crack in the next room. Im not going to lie. I was afraid and barely slept. Dont go there run far away! I will never go back there. Pictures on line can be so deceiving!

The room was a disgusting mess, and nothing like what they posted pictures of online. They also ended up making me check out on a Sunday morning, when i had reservation thru Sunday night and check out on Monday morning. I even had an Expedia agent check this a couple nights before and my confirmation email even states it. I would urge Expedia to cut ties with this property.

The bedding was especially concerning. The sheets had multiple burn holes in them, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel to provide to guests. Seeing damaged and unclean bedding made us question the overall sanitation of the entire room. In addition to the condition of the room, the surrounding area and property made us feel very unsafe. The neighborhood did not feel secure, and we were uncomfortable leaving our vehicle in the parking lot. Even walking to and from the room felt uneasy, which is not something guests should have to worry about. Because of the smell, the unclean conditions, and the safety concerns, we did not feel comfortable staying and ultimately left without spending the night. This experience was far below even the most basic expectations for a hotel stay. We would appreciate a full refund, as the room was not in acceptable condition and we were unable to stay due to these issues.

Check in/out process was very fast and easy, but the rooms do not look like the pictures. They were clean for the most part, couldve been cleaner. But the yellow dirty pillows were covered up with the pillow case, the bed was absolutely the worst bed I have ever slept on in my life, the sheets and curtains had burn holes even though its supposed to be a non smoking room and you could hear the traffic driving by all night. But if you're just looking for a place to sleep for the night like we were, I guess its tolerable for the price.

Loudest A/C unit I've ever heard. Fridge *barely* cools. A homeless dude in a beat-up van is living in the parking lot (!!), cooking out of a small portable grill. Light fixtures were missing bulbs, so I had to swap bulbs around. Deadbolt on the door is broken off. SUPER SKETCHY. This place should charge about $40/night, max.

They threw me out to the street at 2AM in a not low crime area at all. They keep my money i I didn’t have where to go with out the money for a new reservation, let alone a safe place to sleep.

We paid a little over 100 dollars for the night, deposit seems to vary person to person and can be made with cash or card. Hotels.com said it was $80, a paper in the lobby said $150, my deposit was $50, and i did receive it back after a business day. We stayed in room 252. It looked like the door had been forced in and repaired with one of those hardware store fix-a-jam kits. There were numerous large dents from where the door was beaten in on both sides. The swing lock on the inside was broken and missing one half. All of the locks look like theyve been modified or possibly rekeyed. Feels sketchy. The room itself was outdated and underkept. The vinyl floors were peeling and missing chinks in some spots. Some of the lights didnt work and the tv remote was missing a battery. The comforter had burn holes in it and the bed frame is made of metal, one of the beds in our room made a very loud pop noise everytime you moved on it. The floor around the sink and in the bathroom was dirty, and there were burn marks on the toilet seat. I cant comment on the shower because we opted not to use it. It looked old but clean. If you find that you need an emergency room it works. I would not vacation here though. No breakfast or ice machine. Staff was fine.

We were assigned a new room, after googling the number, no phones in the rooms. The room seemed like it wasn’t cleaned for a while. There was an open soap on the counter. The bathroom was missing a door. We slept in our clothes and on top of bedding, mouse or moth holes in the bedding. The locks on the door didn’t work, so we propped a chair under the handle to alert us to any unwarranted visitors in the middle of the night.

Once checked in, I found my room. There was a group of people loitering right outside of my room, very loud and essentially having a party in the parking lot. (Annoying, not necessarily the hotels fault) The room looked nothing like the photos provided online. There were patches on the walls, the floor was concave, the comforter had burn marks all over it, and it smelled really bad. I can’t say it was dirty, it had obviously been cleaned but the quality of the room was severely lacking. The mattress was clearly old, it creaked when you moved and only two pillows were provided for a king sized bed. The remote for the tv was not compatible to the tv on the wall, again, not the end of the world but inconvenient. All in all, I didn’t sleep well and I woke up early and checked out. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to sleep and don’t have high or even medium standards, this place is for you. I will not return. I didn’t feel safe, the room was unsatisfactory, and the check in experience was terrible. I do not recommend.

The hotel owner knocks on people's doors in the morning to tell them to leave, as if they were criminals. It was a really awful experience, to be honest. Maybe it wasn't the owner or the manager, but it was truly unpleasant.

The place is bugfree but that is about the best thing. The sink didn't ha e cold water, the bathroom door didn't latch and therefore wouldnt stay closed. The security latch on the room door was broken and useless. All in all, not a room worth the cost.

Check-in was ok. The room smelled horrible and wasn’t the cleanest. I don’t mind a motel as long as its clean; this room was nasty! The toilet had ‘stuff’ on it and the floor hadn’t been swept at all. Besides that, there were people yelling all night long, someone busted the window in the room right above me and it scared the crap out of me at 3am. Then some random person knocked on my door at 4am. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep very well because I was scared and uncomfortable from the time I stepped into the room until I checked out!

The room had a very strong smoke odor plus burn holes in the blankets and curtains. The beds were noisy…crunch sound every time I moved. The road was noisy with multiple sirens and the heat (yes, it was cold) cycled on and off every minute and a half.

Parking was free We booked a non-smoking room and it reeked of cigarettes. Everything was sketchy. There was no bed frame for the mattress, just a platform. The bedding didn’t look clean. The TV and wifi didn’t work. There were challenges with the keys programming to even access the room. No hand soap provided for the sink. We didn’t want to use the pool, but it was visibly filthy.

I checked into the room. Cigarette holes everywhere smells like cigarettes and there’s bedbugs I will never ever book through you guys again is the worst experience I checked out within five minutes. They charged me full price for a day still haven’t received my $50 deposit and I had to get a whole new hotel that cost me $1000

Service people were generally very kind and helpful. When we returned to pick up forgotten items, they provided them efficiently. The inside doorlock was missing, so that needs repair. After I'd checked with the main office in the morning to extend our time by 1/2 hour, another man came to the door and persisted in telling me I had to do more by going to the office, even though I kept telling him I had already done so. Fearing him, I finally had to close the door on him.

Check in was pretty easy and fast. Room wasn’t far from check in. Room was pretty clean. Toilet worked but also didn’t. Shower was good. For the price the room is good. The only problem was getting my deposit back the first night. I had to literally question the guy to get it back. He gave me a receipt that explained nothing and told me money is back on the card but wasn’t. So I walked back in and said hey man I need something better that explains I am getting my deposit back like you said. Gave me another receipt then I said. This receipt doesn’t show or state the deposit I gave you. He then manually released it and I instantly got my $50 deposit back. It’s almost as he was trying to see if I was a fool and just left. After, that night. He has been more simple with me. I would still stay here if there is no other options

The rooms are non-smoking and they don't want you standing outside of your room to smoke cigarettes so where else could you smoke I went to smoke in my car and that was a problem

I showered with flip flops on. That should tell you the condition of the room that one wouldn’t be caught dead walking barefoot

The room was so dirty it didn’t look like the pictures that was advertised at all, i understand the room was cheap but it looks like it wasn’t cleaned at all by room service. On top of that the toilet was clogged with the first time using it upon check in with no plunger in the room to use. horrible experience.

The lady is very rude no matter how nice you are to her. They try to charge you twicefor stuff you paid for already on line. As had a license Emotional support animal and was still charged for pet fee after even showing paperwork

I thought we would book and just have a place to stay in between going to the park-but I didn’t feel comfortable doing that. The room was beyond dirty-the front desk person offered another room-but why wasn’t that an option when I first checked in? I told him I didn’t feel safe-he said if anything happened he would just call the cops….no thanks-I forfeited the 1 night cancellation and booked another place.

Rooms are absolutely filthy and full of mildew. Mold in bathroom , curtains are stained and smelly. This place is run down and and nasty. front desk was nice other than that horrible!!!

My experience at this hotel was disappointing. The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke from the moment I entered, which was very uncomfortable. This really affected my stay, as I expected a clean and pleasant room.

The most important part of this room is it was economical and clean. Cleanliness is important to me. Breakfast wasn't fancy but had refrigerated sandwiches to heat up in microwave. Yogurt fruit and bagels also. Thank you

I got a bad impression as I arrived at the hotel and got a room I hadn't booked and the beds in bad condition I went back to loby to get the room I had booked and then I went to the room and it was a big disappointment as there was a cigarette smell and the bedding in bad condition damaged. Broken mattress was useless I slept on a metal base and I had to leave the place earlier because I had many bites on my body. They must go for a hotel inspection because the images displayed on the website have nothing to do with what I saw when I entered the room

Positives: The room was generally clean and the lights, fridge, sink, shower, and such seemed to work (room doesnt have a phone). The AC did work and keep the room cool, but its a bit loud. Negatives: The door on the original room we were given wasnt properly locking after we closed it and opened without scanning our key card. It's security latch was also broken. When talking to the front desk person about it, he went up and showed us it worked when slamming it so hard the wall literally shook. We requested and got moved to another room. The new door did work normally, however the deadbolt didn't properly go into an indent in the doorplate (making it practically useless) and there was no longer a security latch. Also, when I checked in I was only asked to provide my ID, not the IDs of the 2 other guests on the 3 person reservation. The next night at around 2am right after we had returned from the concert, we received loud angry pounding on the door from the man on the night shift (no announcement it was motel staff until after I opened the door). Long story short, he noticed us on the cameras and thought we werent guests since the policy is all guests in the room must provide IDs and the Uber that dropped us off was still there. He did explain he was strict about it since there were 2 shootings there in the past year or so. I wouldnt recommend staying here.

The property is older and hasn't had much updating. My room reaked of cigarette smoke smell. However, my car was still there the next morning so I guess I can't complain too much.

I don't like being on the front side of the building. To much noise from the street not to mention the sun from that side seems brighter and hotter. But thank goodness they have been around during this transition in our life since Milton we have been displaced and they have been warm and welcoming to us staff can be difficult sometimes but can't everyone at least they are here when need a reasonable place to stay so we are not sleeping in our car again. I had to asked to a room with safety lock after 3 rooms found one. Toilet stopped flushing. Fixed promptly then broke again. Key card had to be reset 3times in just a 2 day stay. Staff very friendly and professional and very prompt to resolve my complaints. Pool was nice. Unfortunately the were installing a new roof during my brief stay which was loud for a Saturday. No work on Sunday but that was probably because of thunderstorms all day til 3pm. Room was relatively clean but did find some dead fruit flies in room. Did have good AC and working fridge and microwave a plus. If you are not staying in room except to sleep it will pass but not for confort.

When he printed the key he told me he gave me a room in "the next building," & when I asked where it was exactly he said around the corner. I said, "ok, got in my car and started driving around the parking lot." When I made it "around the corner," I notice caution-tape restricting cars from actually driving to the building. Seeing this I figured it was a mistake, turned around and went back to ask the attendant if there was a mistake. He told me, "the building is right there," to which I reminded him I'm not from this area and would prefer a room where I can see my vehicle. in frustration he walked around the counter, outside & pointed to a building that was 50 yards away saying, "you can park here and then walk under the caution tape to the building through an empty parking lot." I once again told him I'd like my vehicle close, where I can see it, not 50 yards away and around the corner from where he stood pointing. His communication skills were paramount to gasliting as he told me, "no one has a problem with walking over there, this is a non issue," rather than simply getting the point I want a room within eyesight of my vehicle. Hearing this he said, "ok I can fix this." He proceeded to give me a room a few doors from the front office and I hoped at this moment the issues from earlier were about to be fixed. They weren't

The only highlight here was the girl at the front desk. She was sweet and upbeat, but the place was nasty. There were no working vending machines, the office closed, there were bad places on the floor and walls, you could take a bath (no stopper), no water pressure for a shower and half the lights work

My door didn’t lock. I told the man at the front desk about it he said he was going to call the maintenance guy to come look at it but need did. I was scared for my life.

When we first got there their system was down instead of the rude old lady saying that she left me at the window, then I’m standing in line once the system was up and she skipped me that came after me.the floors in the room are dirty the a/c had mold and the tub has mold as well, dead roaches on the ceiling, room service guy knocked and let his self in after I stated I’m undressed we don’t need anything. Terrible experience. The first room smelled strongly of smoke and looked nothing like the photos. We were moved to a second room, but the AC didn’t work—in the middle of a hot Florida summer. On top of that, there was no running water in the room at all—no sink, shower, or toilet. Completely unacceptable conditions. I have video proof. Do NOT book here. This place is a scam and should be shut down.

Staff was lacking professionalism,condescending and completely unfit for customer service. Very disappointing for a "hospitality environment". If you could even call it that. Smoking in the rooms

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL! At 7am one of the hotel staff used their key to open my room door and just came in while I was sleeping! They then proceeded to ask me details about my name and reservation saying they didn't have it because of a bug in their system. Completely unacceptable!

Checked in and the front desk person said I didn't have a reservation. They finally found our room and gave us a key and parking pass for the dash. The parking pass had our room number on it. Such a safety issue that anyone who sees our vehicle knows which room we are in. We finally got into room 124 and were so disgusted. The room had mold in corners, chunks of wall missing, comforter had stains cigarette burns, toilet paper holder broken, TP was sitting on top of toilet, it was just gross. We don't have high standards but a clean room with no mold is expected. Lots of homeless in the area within a couple of blocks. Came from a long day at Busch gardens and didn't want to deal with trying to find a decent room at this place or another hotel so we drove the 2.15 hours back home. For almost $200, there are so many better options.

Good location Check in took 30 minutes, room didn’t look like the picture, two lumpy pillows on the bed, deeply scratched old floor, tv didn’t work, no hot tub (pictured).

I reserved a room for one night at the Bay Inn through Hotels.com. Upon arrival, the hotel clerk offered us an opportunity to "see the room" before she checked us in. She anticipated we would not want to stay there when she saw us. We CLEARLY WERE NOT THEIR TYPICAL CLIENTILE. The room she showed us smelled like smoke and was not very clean. She showed us a second room that also was not very clean and had a taped up window. The hotel is not located in a very "good" part of Tampa. We did NOT stay at the hotel. The clerk commented, "It's ok, I got you momma". We left and drove further to stay with family.

It is dirty anywhere. The ceiling and floor are broken. This room smells very bad.
