The hotel staff's customer service was also a common complaint, with guests describing them as unhelpful, rude, and unprofessional. On the other hand, some guests praised the hotel's quiet and peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness in some areas, and helpful staff. The location and price were also mentioned as positives by some guests.

They were currently paving the parking lot, which was an inconvenience of getting up early to move the car other than that everything was great a special thank you to Lauren at the front desk and Ruben, the bartender, very polite, knowing what they do and how to please a customer

Slightly disappointed that free breakfast is no longer served, but this particular location has a breakfast lunch restaurant "The Canopy Cafe" within steps of the front door. Their menu is to die for!!!

Always our go to location for Tallahassee overnights. SOOOO glad hotel has spent some money for upgrading facilities. It looks so much better. Always pick this hotel because of the convenient location, especially walkability to restaurants and shopping. No beer until 5. Other locations at least have small selection in convenience store.

Property was very nice and staff was helpful
- 2/5
No continental breakfast, which was very disappointing for Hilton. There wasn’t even a piece of paper or a pencil to write on anything in your room. No blankets just a thin sheet on top of the sheets. No guide for the TV and one small bar of soap. Everything else was in dispensers. And the dolly for clothes is ridiculous. A triangular shape that’s way too small and you can’t maneuver it at all. Hilton used to be one of the top places I would stay at, not anymore and the staff not cordial or inviting at all. They asked what your name is and hand you your key.
- 5/5
The side door entrance was changed to “employees only” and it would be useful for guests when the parking lot is full and guests have to park down on that end.

Lauren at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and the bed and pillows were comfy. The side door entrance was changed to “employees only” and it would be useful for guests when the parking lot is full and guests have to park down on that end.

I loved the staff they were very nice and sweet. The community around the hotels were great, places to go and eat. The room is a bit not clean. I felt not clean sleeping on the bed, the shower was not necessarily clean. The curtains were ripped. There was little marks on my sheets and covers so we had to take those covers off.

It was close to other restaurants and businesses.

We got the complementary breakfast and it was delicious. The wait staff was great. There was nothing we didn't like. There was some reconstruction work going on but it didn't seem to bother us.

Assistant property manager Austin Adam’s was professional and welcoming. He makes this hotel stand apart from all others with actual hospitality. Everything was fine.

For the price I was disappointed breakfast wasn’t included in cost
- 4/5
Very clean room with great service. Unfortunately, the only negative I experience was the lack of breakfast.
- 4/5
Entering the building first impressions were, it was tidy and maintained. I will touch more on this later. Check in was straight forward. However my only complaint here was with the lack of communication from Expedia about an additional deposit (in my case of $60) by Hilton. Clarity and transparency here would do both companies great benefits. And to be honest, I'm not the sharpest tack in the box and I may have missed something here. The room was what I would expect, as far as generally clean. No bugs, clean bathroom, and clean sheets. Now I did find a child's toy under the bed (during bug check) and noticed that that area hadn't been vacuumed for some time. As well as behind the furniture around the room. Deal breaker? No. But it is an indicator. Fan in the bathroom didn't work. "Normally" it comes on when the light is turned on. Unless this a different system than I'm used too. Over all, I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room. Breakfast was good. I do recommend the three egg omelet. Service was great, Thank you Susan. Asian Poke restaurant with in walking distance. Overall, I would recommend the Hilton Garden Inn (on Blaistone Rd)

It’s in a good location and near the stores and restaurants It wasn’t clean ,dust on the end tables and drawers

The front desk person Lauren was probably one of the best I’ve ever had to deal with. Very professional, very friendly.

Breakfast I paid ahead for ... what a mess . Chewing gum and wrappers in planters. Just not clean or friendly for a Hilton. I stay at many Hiltons around the US and this one was not on spot.

room was extremely humid and smelled damp.

Always a wonderful stay!

Payed extra for an upgraded room with a “private hot tub” just to find out it’s basically a bath tub and the jets don’t even work and are permanently plugged. Don’t advertise a hot tub if it’s not that

Lovely hotel, excellent stay. 👌
- 2/5
The staff was excellent. They were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We had to move rooms in the middle of the night and the front desk was wonderful about it. They did their best to accommodate us, however the hotel overall just wasn't up to the Hilton name. The hotel is a bit run down. There were stains on the carpets all over the hotel. The furniture was dated and not really comfortable. We had to move rooms in the middle of the night due to a loud incredibly rude neighbor and they were accommodating but the room we moved into - though an upgrade was dated and worn.
- 1/5
My dog found pills, a vape, peanuts, etc. under the bed. And unfortunately ate a pill. Then we were relocated to a different room and had the exact same issue. Will not be staying again
- 5/5
Very friendly staff in hotel and the restaurant as well.
- 3/5
Needed updated for a Hilton property. Im a diamond hilton member for countless years. Needs some work at this property.
- 4/5
Spent 5 nights here last week and would definitely stay again! We booked a 6th night as our plane was delayed and I automatically wanted to stay here again because we were so comfortable there. The staff is great! We enjoyed the outside seating area to hang out in the evenings. Enjoyed the pool during the day! Great location and the room was clean and comfortable as well. Oh and the SHOWER!! loved the water pressure! Loved our stay :)
- 4/5
Room was a good size and even had a hot tub. The cook to order omlets were well made but the potatoes & bacon were pulled from the buffet and tasted like they had been sitting out there all morning. Last hotel all was fresh & both were ordered near end of breakfast time. The shower door needed to be repaired as it didn't close.

The front desk attendant was great, his name was Andrew, and he was very helpful to the needs of my girlfriend and I. We would definitely return for another visit.

My elderly parents have conditions that make travel very difficult, and they require supervision. Upon check-in, the hotel said they had no knowledge of the request for the rooms to be together. Second, we needed the sofa in the suite as per the description for my father, and we were told they were oversold and had given the room to others. I was promised an adjustment in the charges, that have not been honored at this time.
- 5/5
Nice staff

Breakfast was very good, surprised at the personal chef making eggs as ordered. also enjoyed the prepared fresh fruit bowl. Service at tableside was exceptional. My only issue was --in checking in , I was given a complimentary breakfast ticket. The next morning I presented the ticket and enjoyed an excellent breakfast. When I checked out, the breakfast charge was on the folio. I caught it and the desk clerk got it worked out with the food staff and the amount came off. If I had not studied the folio, it would have gone unnoticed and I would have been charged the 16.00 even though it was supposed to be free.
- 1/5
One night was almost $ 700.00 , no breakfast , in aged facility miles away from the University . “ Get it when you can “to offset bed count and rack to average rate for the balance of the year is a strategy but baying 3 times regular rate , leaves a bad taste in this Normally loyal Hilton customer’s mouth and “ ripped off “ vibe will push Hilton down a few notches in my hotel choices until vibe passes .
- 5/5
Stay was great staff was amazing room could be a little more cleaner but overall it was great
- 5/5
We used Expedia to book our stay at this Awesome Hotel. When we were checking in our reservation couldn't be located in the Hotel systems. The Amazing Taylor assisted us, she checked several times with my confirmation but nothing. She then called a different location to make sure they didn't have it instead (apparently that happens when you book thru Expedia, sometimes) they also could not locate it. Taylor made sure she rebooked us right there and price matched! We had a wonderful stay in the King Whirlpool suite! Would highly recomend... Thanks again to Taylor for all your help!

Pool was not working
- 2/5
The morning front desk person (younger white male, dark hair) gave stellar service both over the phone before I checked in and the next morning. Evening front desk was not very hospitable, no eye contact, barely said 2 words. Upon getying to my room, it was very obvious that the floor was not swept, misc. debris was prevalent. There was also no remote control to be found for the tv. The microwave had alot of what appeared to be melted cheese inside. I went to the front desk and the unfriendly clerk said there were no other rooms with the whirlpool tub that I reserved and that there wasnt anyone available to clean the microwave. He gave me the remote control from the lobby tv to use and I steered clear if the microwave. Room surfaces looked as if they hadnt been wiped for awhile and 2/6 of the jets in the whirlpool tub did not work. The furniture and lamps are quite dingy and old. The hallway carpets are fisgusting and walls and doors are covered with smudges, etc. Not what you would expect from a Hilton, and definitely not for the price. I'm not a hotel snob and have stayed at more economical places that are at least clean. Really, that is the least you can do for your paying guests, especially when your property is so dated. As I was leaving, I also saw an out of order sign on the pool entrance. Would definately not stay here again.
- 4/5
Property is good from what I’ve seen so far and location is great.
- 5/5
Very nice for the price
- 4/5
Not renovated and lacks cleanliness. I didn’t have towels when I arrived late at night and it couldn’t be delivered due to a short staff so I went to pick them up as tired as I was. There was a bottle cap under the bed which tells me someone didn’t clean up well as it was near the foot of the bed. Lastly, the shower was leaking the whole time. I didn’t report it bc I didn’t want anyone in the room since we were in and out visiting my kid at fsu
- 3/5
The rotting wood furniture, in the room. The bad carpet smell. Had to purchase an air freshener. No store, as advertised
- 4/5
The property and room were nice and clean. The only issue I had was with check-in. We arrived at the property 15 min after 3pm. Our room was not ready, but front desk did not tell us this. We went up to our room to find it had not been cleaned. I found a housekeeping staff member on the same floor who said they'd get to it shortly. We had to get ready for our daughter's FSU recital in the lobby bathroom causing us to arrive late to the recital(which was the whole reason for the trip). Had we been made aware that our room was not ready we would have made other arrangements until it was available.
- 4/5
Staff was very accommodating. My only complaint was the overbearing air freshener in the foyer and lobby.
- 4/5
It was cool
- 3/5
The beds were fantastic, the room temperature was acceptable, however the breakfast was not to our standards and there was no room service available. Food was leftover in the fridge and we had to throw it away ourselves. Wi-Fi did not work, but they may have been due to user error. We paid over $800 for a 2 1/2 day stay. Not worth the money.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable stay.
- 4/5
We only stayed one evening and had an early departure the3 folloiwng morning, so really did not use any of the hotel's amentities. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. Only bummer was the Keurig in our room was not working, but the morning front desk staff had the coffee ready in the lobby ready promptly at 5:00 AM.
- 5/5
Front desk staff excellent at check in and out. We will stay there again.
- 5/5
Only stayed overnight but property is beautiful and reasonably priced. Breakfast not included.

Nice property. Beautiful lobby and dining area/bar. Outstanding value. Very near the Governor's Mall and restaurants.

Property was clean and the bed was soft.

Everything was excellent
- 4/5
Didnt like the buffet bar wasent good options for the price
- 2/5
Lots of motor noise from other areas could be heard from the room I was in. It vibrates in your ears. Also the water drained very slowly from the shower so you are standing in your dirty water. Very unhappy with my stay there and will not return.
- 4/5
This property was perfect for our stay to move in my daughter. It's right outside of the hustle near the campus, yet in a safe area near many dining options and shopping. My only complaint would be the person who checked us in. She was curt and rude, barely spoke to us and was not very welcoming. Aside from her, the room was comfortable and very clean. I would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Visit was good. Shower water wouldn’t turn off. The door to smoking early closed early. Overall good stay.
- 4/5
pool closed
- 2/5
Room has very smelled
- 3/5
This Hilton property was not up to par with others. The pool was closed for renovations (no mention in any emails or in the app). Staff just handed us our keys-didn’t even point us in the direction of the elevators. The staff was more interested in talking to one another.

I think $177 for a King room with a jacuzzi is too much for the quality of the room. The shower needed some serious CLR. The sofa was all stained up and the mattress was definitely due to be replaced. The jacuzzi however was wonderful and surprisingly large.
- 2/5
bad experience
- 5/5
Perfect for our needs
- 1/5
The room was super dirty and we found chicken bones under the bed
- 5/5
The room and amenities were great!
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 4/5
I did request the room be serviced after the first night; was told it would be but later in the evening upon returning to the room no service had been done. Was told my room was marked for service every other day which made no sense as we were only there for 2 nights. Would definitely stay again; the above items were small in relation to what could have gone wrong.
- 5/5
Always a nice stay. Very clean and updated. Staff was very helpful.
- 1/5
Very rude and unprofessional front desk clerk after I challenged the “pet fee” charge that wasn’t on the booking website that they obviously allow to sell rooms. 75 dollars for one night for my 9 lb dog. Very rude and offered nothing to help out since I had a non refundable booking. Shift manager wouldn’t even come speak with me about it face to face . Very disappointing and will be disputing charges! Hotel is nice and well maintained but unfortunately staff needs to learn how to be a little more accommodating for their guests
- 5/5
Everithing good
- 2/5
I can’t recommend this property based on what happened during our stay. We ordered Uber Eats and the delivery went to the wrong room. As soon as I saw the receipt from the Uber driver, I left our room to pick up, all within the span of 2 minutes but the food had already been picked by someone else. The hotel confirmed they contacted the room but no answer. I acknowledged the hotel can’t control or manage Uber deliveries but the manager on duty didn’t seem to have any empathy at all. I will not stay at this property again in the future.
- 1/5
Jason at the front desk was awful. Very rude and completely unpleasant. Seemed very annoyed to talk and walked off while I was talking to him. I was asking him simple questions about the pet policy and he acted as though it was a complete hassle to talk to me. Worst employee I’ve ever dealt with at a hotel.
- 4/5
I booked one room with two twin beds for two days. Upon arrival the hotel only had one room left with one single twin bed. This was unsatisfactory for me because my reservation was secured with a major credit card. It wasn't until later in the evening that an on-call manager had to come into the hotel and after going through a computer search he was able to find a room with two Queen beds and honored my reservation as originally booked. This is the second incident with my Hilton reservations in the last three years. The last was in Jackson Hilton during the Powell Family Reunion. I was disappointed.
- 3/5
Front desk workers were very helpful.
- 1/5
At the moment of the check in they give me a room with two beds! My reservation was a king bed
- 1/5
They charged me twice. I paid by Expedia and when I arrived they needed the credit card for incidentals. I noticed the full price come up and corrected them. They told me not to worry it was canceled. It wasn’t. Took me two more tries to get it refunded.
- 2/5
I did not get the room I booked. No one called to let me know that it wasn't available nor did they let me know during check out. Gave me a standard room and you basically ruined my husband's birthday staycation and this hotel needs to be upgraded. Everything there is old. The carpet the shower curtains, the lamps EVERYTHING. I wish I had not used my reward points for this. It was not what I wanted.
- 4/5
Nice area with convenient dining option. The coffee maker and refrigerator in the room were not working.
- 1/5
We really liked the people at the front desk, but the room was extremely dirty. The floor had not been vacuumed and there were tufts of hair throughout the bathroom. Additionally, the bathroom was infested with little black ants. We actually left the hotel. I asked for my money back, which the night manager pleasantly agreed to, however the return has not shown up on my Visa card and I am still on the hook for $17 even if the receipted return eventually appears. Nonetheless, we were leaving regardless of whether we were refunded the $150 or not. We went to the Drury Hotel a few miles away and it was much nicer and certainly cleaner.
- 1/5
Check in was terrible. Waited at front desk for someone to come out from the back. After coming out receptionist was extremely unpleasant. Zero customer service skills. Asked for our name then said we had already checked on. After letting her no we did not she gave us our key and said you’re on the 2nd floor. I assumed the room # was on the inside of the card but it was not. Had to go back down to get room #. Went back up and somebody was already on the room this had go back down to lobby again. Still no customer service present. And of course I was told “No manager on duty.”
- 2/5
Room was clean but dated, no TV remote in room, no USB ports in room and toilet had extended and noisy flushing noises. All reported to desk and they were polite but not especially concerned.
- 4/5
TV in room was old and small. AC ran non-stop and is loud. Pillows were not comfortable.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. Great restaurant near by.
- 5/5
Everything went well
- 5/5
I would stay at this hotel 365 days if I could. I have never run into an unhappy employee, found trash on the grounds or had a dirty room. This hotel is awesomw in every way.
- 2/5
I booked a whirlpool room and was given a handicap room. Hotel said they only had handicap left and hotels.com would adjust. Spoke with hotels.com and corrections have not been made. I have been given 3 different stories and promised follow and no response.
- 4/5
The property was good for a one night stay. The front desk clerk was not very welcoming and our room’s shower and tub area looked as if it had an incomplete renovation. However, I slept great and checkout was easy in the morning.
- 4/5
Clean and quiet and safe.
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
I also feel that we were price gouged! The price of the rooms were astronomical for 1 night. Also, my husband is a Hilton member and we didn’t receive any discounts.
- 3/5
I chose this hotel because of the proximity to my son's school. The check in was excellent the front desk associate was very friendly. We checked in and had to immediately leave to make the game on time. But upon return later that night we notice some cleaning issues in the room. The bathroom has hair all over. When the bed was turned down the blanket that was under the top cover was nasty and stained. Needless to say I was beyond disappointed. We made the front desk associate aware the very next morning and she sincerely apologized but it is not her job to inspect behind the cleaning staff. I thought that was the job of the supervisor. I was going to rebook for the following weekend but I decided on another hotel. The appearance of the hotel is very nice. But dirty rooms killed the overall appearance for me.
- 4/5
Satisfactory stay.
- 4/5
It was a very nice place to stay , my room was clean and over all hotel was just as clean.
- 2/5
The room was dirty, the pillowcases, the blankets, the sheets all that stains on them the toilet was dirty, so what’s the tub in the room stains all over the floor stains all over the walls the air conditioning unit that is stuck to the window. The panel fell off because there’s no notice that you’re using the wall until you get to it. I guess you get what you pay for
- 2/5
Felt like the room was used for a porn shoot the night before. Room was dirty, TV was small... They need a renovate the rooms. Will not stay here again.
- 2/5
Stuff was nice the room was very update
- 4/5
No issues.
