    Breakfast was awful. Prepackaged muffins and fruit bars. Lobby was 82 degrees. Hallways were 83 degrees. AC in room sucked. Staff rude and unhelpful.

    The room was ok The staff told me at 2:50 that I couldn't check in because I had to wait until 3. She then proceeded to do other things and didnt come back to the counter until 3:15. I think the reason is because she was alone and couldn't do everything herself. It shouldn't be that way. Especially at check in time. Also, my first morning, during the time I should have been able to get my breakfast, it was closed.

    This is my favorite hotel in Tallahassee to stay at when visiting. I have stayed at this location many times and always get a great night sleep. The place is clean. The rooms are clean and the beds are super comfortable. I love the piano playing in the lobby and they always have tea and coffee available all day.

    This is my second time staying here. I picked it because the first time I did it was amazing!, this time not so much. The staff were very rude for some reason not sure if they were having a back week or what because I was here 7 days and they acted like that the whole time and the breakfast is water or coffee with an orange. That’s it, 2 days out of the 7 days they did have muffins and yogurt but she said that’s something they do IF they have it which I think is crazy because how much money I paid and breakfast is from 6am-9am but if you go down there at 7am there is nothing and they say they have “water and coffee” as the breakfast. Was disappointed in all that because again soooo much money spent on ONE room for it to come with not even the breakfast they so called have (aka coffee and water). Other than the rude staff and breakfast the second floor carpet was soaking wet the whole time I was there not sure what that was from. It was the interior hallway. Other than that the room was perfect and the parking is good that’s it. Very very different from my first stay at this hotel.

    ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! The bed sheets was disgusting like it hasn’t been changed, I have pictures and videos of roaches crawling on the bed! There was rat poop on the sheets! Shows online there is a pool, but the pool is locked and you can’t get into the pool. People outside trying to sell drugs to everyone. Felt really uncomfortable. Was there for 20 minutes and left.. also when we asked for a refund they refused it and also I haven’t gotten my deposit back either. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I requested new sheets 3 different times because I was given the wrong size twice to replace the badly worn sheets, and I received no apologies at all from the front desk associate.

    This was a horrible experience. The hotel room door jammed and locked me out. I was told the maintenance guy wouldn't be in until 9am the following morning. All my belongings were locked in the room and I was told there was nothing they could do.

    The room was atrocious! I’ve have never been in a room with a hole in the door that is not a peephole. We had to place a chair in front of the door for added security. I wiped the desk down when within minutes of arriving in the room and I bumped into the lamps and it breaks. I begin to clean out the tub and I was met with pubic hair in the tub. The worst experience I have ever had. The staff was the only saving grace but sadly that wasn’t enough.

    Old dirty hotel 3x rack rate because of graduation weekend. It has the Wyndham to seem like it’s an upgrade but our view out the window was an abandoned building the old section of the hotel and the pool was closed which was the walkway to the abandoned building. The room carpet was dirty, old scratched up furniture , no streaming channels , it was disgusting. They had a continent breakfast with frozen sandwiches , yogurt , granola bars nothing to drink .

    Ac was not on in the room when we arrived, I kinda expected it to be since we booked ahead. It was warm for the first few hours. The lobby was very hot. I started sweating while waiting to check in and out. It's like they had the heat on not just ac off.

    Nothing My stay here was extremely frustrating and disappointed from start to finish First ,the room key situation was a had to go up and down the stairs 3 different times just to get a key that would actually work. That's unacceptable,especially when you're tired and just to get in to your room. Then I found out I had to request basic items like an iron and hairdryer things that are normal already in hotel room. It felt like nothing was standard here, and everything required extra effort. To make matter worse, they tried to charge me for extra towels. That's a basic necessity, not something guests should have to pay for. On top of that there was no complimentary breakfast available,witch is something most people expect when booking here. The Most concerning issues was that even after I put a Do Not Disturb sign on my door ,staff still entered my room while I was not there.that is a serious violation of privacy and made me feel very uncomfortable about leaving my belongings in the room. Overall this was poor experience. between the lack of basic amenities, constant inconveniences, and disregard of my privacy,I will not be returning and would not recommend staying here ...was in town for my son graduation. And for the price per room was not right I payed almost $500 per room ...for a room that normally is $66 dollars a night ....I had 4 rooms so everyone thing about the price I payed

    We checked in around 3:30pm. We went to our daughters graduation ceremony and when that was over we decided not to even spend the night and checked out around 10:30. This hotel was disgusting. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom was falling apart with cracked tiles in the shower and holes in the wall behind the toilet. There was a chair in the room that was dirty and all tattered. The room was also musty. The fact that we got charged $448 for this room is unbelievable. This should be rectified and we should be refunded our money and this property should be taken off your searches altogether as an option.

    Checked into our room late that evening do to a long delayed drive. Upon arriving we immediately noticed a very bad odor. We dropped our stuff on the bed and then went to meet some people. After about an hour we returned back to the property. Prior to going back into our room we wanted to inform the front desk at how awful the odor was. She said she was aware but had no other room to give us but instead followed us to our room and sprayed the room with some sort of liquid and said "That should do it!" and then left. Of course that did not "Just do it!" and we stayed up most of the night do to foul smell and could not wait to leave in the morning. Needless to say, I will NEVER be going back to this property and would seriously warn others prior to making their reservation to not do it!

    I was about to catch a break from my long drive to winter haven. I didn't like this area. I expected a room in the same building as the lobby. instead we were given a room outside towards the back with junkies!!! I was nervous all night since it was myself & my 3 small children. The room was STINKY & hit! Then the shower curtain had blood on it.

    Honestly nothing, stay somewhere else. My stay was extremely unpleasant from start to finish. A staff member named Catina was very rude and unkind, which immediately created a negative and unwelcoming atmosphere. The beds had visible stains and a strong, unbearable odor. Even after being moved to a different room, the same issues persisted. The shower did not work, and although breakfast was advertised, no breakfast was provided. To make matters worse, our second room was broken into, which made us feel unsafe during our stay. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this property to anyone.

    The room was clean, comfortable, next to the elevator, the shower was just right. It wasn't breakfast just grab and go muffins and granola bars that was disappointing but there's various food places in the area where you didn't have too drive far so that's a plus. The overall walking into the hotel was clean, fresh, smell good, convent and welcoming. The price was decent not expensive at all, even when it come to payments method, It wasn't stressful like most hotels. I would stay there again. That it wasn't breakfast

    We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. There were 3 of us, but only 1 bath towel available. Be mindful that the pictures look fabulous but it's like a hotel and motel in one. The inside lobby was beautiful and the rooms insude are probably nice. But not the rooms in the motel part.

    Front door wasn’t working. 1 young lady working the desk on a Saturday afternoon alone. Line of folks standing, waiting to be helped checking in. A guest in line was loud, obnoxious, and embarrassing. Building was hot. Room was stale and hot. Floor in room was not clean. There were stains on the bed coverings. Shower was old and uninviting. Would never stay here again.

The young cleaning lady seemed too busy talking on her phone rather than her job as we watched her act like she was cleaning all day she started 5 rooms away, by the evening when we went to our event she had just gotten to the room next to us.

    The hotel was worth the amount I paid which was $174 for two nights. However, I think that they should let customers know about the hundred dollar hold fee prior to booking and I also think that the breakfasts is a false advertisement. It was nothing but coffee, yogurt, water, a tangerine and muffins.. The staff was nice and may check in very easy.. however, if I travel again to Tallahassee, I would look more into other hotel rooms before picking them.

    The location of the property is ideal, close to the Universities and everything was within a 15 minute drive. The staff was efficient and friendly. The rooms were clean, housekeeping comes every morning.The hotel itself can do with some upgrades; the door card readers took a while to open the door. It takes about 5 minutes for the hot water in the shower to get hot. The coffee and hot was only hot at the start of the day. The breakfast options are minimal; it's a cart with water, muffins, breakfast bars, oranges and yogurt. I would recommend this hotel for a 2 or 3 night stay. The price per night is good compared to others in the area.

    The room was old and dilapidated. There was no chair in the room for sitting and the room smelled like cigarette smoke.     The air conditioning and door were not working properly, the room had mold, roches, stains, dirt, and the overall condition was extremely poor to say they least. I immediately asked for a manager and a room change, and I was told no manager was on duty over the weekend and they could not offer me another room. No money back/ no cancellation possible. That was deeply disappointing and unprofessional, especially given the circumstances. Fighting it now looking for a layer. Hotel.com didn’t help either. My request was made reasonably and nothing was done. The level of cleanliness, safety, and responsiveness I experienced fell far below what I expected from this establishment. Don’t stay here! It’s terrible. And don’t use Hotel.cok or any other third party. They will give you the runaround and no one will take responsibility for this or help you!

    Room 521 carpet was filthy price was gouging $600 a night bathroom you could not open the door if the bathroom seat was down. Hair dryer did not work. Never cleaned the room or changed and cleaned the sheets to make the bed for overnight stay was paid for and suppose to be done. Not enough towels, tissues toilet paper. parents weekend at FSU gouging at its best.oh the employees do not have name tags and cannot give out managers name to call because they don’t work weekends and come in whenever they want on Monday-Friday per employee. After the housekeeping leaves, there was no Wi-Fi. There was no hot water even after leaving it. Run for 30 minutes. I stuck my toe right after surgery on the chair right next to the bed. Cause it's too close. I asked for someone's name.They told me that they don't give out names.Nor do they have name tags with names on them

Also, breakfast is granola bars and some apples and oranges. This is not what I would consider “Free Breakfast” There were also leaks all over the place. In the main entrance there was a bucket and ceiling tiles out, and on our floor, we were staying on. The carpet was very wet in some spots, and the fan was plugged in with an extension cord going down the hallway and blowing on it. Our room was also very humid. The whole time and hallway was hot. Need some major updating.

    However, this is the type of place that nickel and dimes people to make a buck. I watched a family try to check in 45min early and they said it’s $30 before 3pm. When I checked in, she handed me a used sleeve to put the swipe cards in which told me the owner is cheap as hell. The sleeve was for a different room already written on with 207 and I was in 201. I got to the room, it was clean. However, I turned on the tv for the tv guide. There is no tv guide. They give you a plastic tv guide card to type in manually every single channel you would like to watch and half of them don’t work! Literally, you have to type in each channel and half of them don’t work! If you’re looking for an easy sleep one night, this is your place but other than that, don’t stay long term! The hotel is run by someone, I assume bought it thinking it was a money maker, and did zero upgrades to improve the place! I will stay there again alone, but never with my family!

    Since the initial question is about the check-in experience, I'll emphasize this review on it. Host was nice. No knock on her. However, the first attempt for a room was not successful. On my way to first room on fourth floor, noticed a big chunk of the ceiling had fallen down due to a burst pipe what was leaking water. Although they had buckets catching some of the water, it was obvious some of the carpet in the hallway was wet. Very unsafe! Walked into room with television still on, and you could tell someone was still in there, although I did not notice anyone. No need to elaborate on beds' conditions and all, since we all know what it means that someone was perhaps still there or may have just been chased out or something. Second room sent to, I walked in on folks, some of whom were still sleeping. Need I say more? Third attempt was successful. However, went out and came back to keys not working. Too many trips to counter for a one night stay. The one good thing is the receptionist (first one). P. S. I checked in a bit earlier, therefore was charged an additional $33, which was fine but imagine being tired and exhausted and encountering such frustration at check-in!

    Very disappointed. There was a water leak in the hallway and the ceiling tile fell through. The staff did not seem concerned at all about fixing it. The room was not very clean and furniture was old and falling apart. AC was not working in common areas and smelled like mildew. Will never stay here again.

    After hit book, the free breakfast turned to "grab and go". The reservation said "accessible". My mom uses a walker. They put us in the motel section, second floor, no elevator. Went back to the office, but they said only accessible is king room (4 in our party). Said sold out so no rooms on 1st floor either. It was late so we decided to stay. Had to assist Mom up/down stairs. AC worked but loud noises all night. Room was clean. Did not feel safe outside.

    Unfortunately, on the return trip to Texas from the Keys, nobody in my group wanted to stay there again. My granddaughter felt her room was dirty (said she saw rat-poop on the bed), the rooms had no glasses, ice containers, or cups. The ice machine on my floor was out of order. And at the far end of the corridor. I was told the ice machine on the 3rd fl. worked. It too was at the far end of the corridor. And all I had to put ice in was a very thin, trash can liner. The continental breakfast was, welp the best thing about it was the coffee. And there were yogurt cups. I had reservations for the trip to, and from the Keys the week of 7/4/25 to 7/5/25, and 7/11/25 to 7/12/25. 2 rooms. Non-refundable. I wonder why I bought the insurance on the room reservations now. My trip to the Florida Keys was a blast! Not so much for this hotel reservation tho...

    The room was clean but the frig was not connected was very stinky I had to call to have it disinfected there was a roach in the room and I had a none smoking room and about 5 doors down there was a man smoking outside in front of his room it smelled like he was smoking weed. Some of the staff did not speak English nor Spanish the rental cost was responsible

    I arrived at 2 am and the sheets in room 208 were dirty. They didn't want to change my room and gave me other sheets and at that time I had to start changing them. The next day we went to have breakfast and there were only cereal bars, muffins, and water. I opened a muffin and it had mold in it. I told the guy at the frontdesk and he just told me to get another one, hahaha, what a joke. I'm not going back. Very bad service.

    We stayed three nights we were on a fishing trip. The room was nice, clean and comfortable, but the room was serviced only after the first night. The second night only fresh towels were change out. The breakfast was only muffins and fruit bars, no coffee pot in room had to go to lobby for coffee. The price was good, and I would stay there again it was a lot better than staying at the fish camp and cheaper, just had to drive about 25 miles further.

    I was not shown or informed there would be a $100 hold on my credit card before or during booking; was told that during checkin, and was told that is how it is...after requesting a 7am room inspection so the verification would be made, the staff said that was booked. At 6:30 am the staff could not find that request, said it was then set in place. Shortly after 7am, the same staff admitted they could not provide a room inspection and do ismiss the hold on the card. The only thing consistent is they lied each time of contact and enquiry.

    Elevators had expired service notes, blankets were dirty and all they did was offer 1 sheet to replace the dirty comforter. Big noise problem. Says they offer complimentary breakfast, but it was literally just a cart with muffins on it. Positive-toilet was at least clean.

    From the moment I walked in, the hotel had a strong, unpleasant odor. The front desk staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming. I was shocked to see the elevator inspection was over a year expired—a major safety concern. The carpet throughout the hotel was stained and dirty. My bed felt like a rock, and the pillows were completely flat, offering no comfort. The bathroom was outdated and in poor condition. Overall, this hotel is in desperate need of renovation and better management. I would not recommend staying here.

    Traveling to another destination and decided to stay for a night. 1st room the key card didn't work, had to change rooms. 2nd room was on the 2nd floor with no elevator access. Have to carry all of your belongings up several stairs. Room was very dirty including the furniture, bedding, bathroom. Room smelled like urine. Would NOT recommend.

    Shortly after we checked out, my husband realized he accidentally left his phone in the room. He went back & explained it to the front desk clerk. Rather than immediately find someone to help him access the room, she asked him to wait while she took phone calls and completed other business. On his own he found a member of the cleaning staff to open the room. We have children attending Florida State but will not be staying at this hotel again.

    Property was nice enough. Staff were totally unconcerned about the booking issue and said it was totally up to Expedia: not their problem. While that is true, I could have used a little cheering up! At least they offered me the room for the night at the same rate as the mis-booked room. Still waiting to hear from Expedia on a refund!

    There were 18 south American men getting drunk in the parking lot.( Very Obviously) I mentioned to the desk the S american .man said they are contactors, our guests. Both men on either side my room were smoking weed. I will Never stay here again!

    The room was not clean at all. Used cups on the floor, chips on the chairs, debris on the bathroom. Clearly the room hasn’t been properly clean. Next morning we went for breakfast and we were told it was done by 9 am. It could be a nice place if they put the effort.

    I booked the hotel while I was on the road. When I checked in, the guy at the desk asked if I wanted an interior rom instead of the outside room I booked. It was nice of him to suggest something safer.
