Exceptional

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was an issue with my room but it was resolved very quickly. The room was functional and cozy. I love the full size fridge and kitchen area. The coffee machine makes freshly brewed coffee at the touch of a button. They even had free washers and dryers! The room was extremely quiet and I didn't hear a single person during the night. I will definitely stay here again.

Overall, it a decent place to stay in passing through. It could use some help with the mildew smell. Otherwise, great

Rooms were not cleaned and there was dog hair in the beds and all over the floor I asked for front desk to have someone vacuum but that didn’t work it was still there. The toilet had black mold in it. The kitchen utensils were dirty from the last time someone cooked food. I wish we took photos so I could share but that would’ve been very disrespectful to you guys for me to post. But I wish I had them. Actually I have one this is how I slept for two nights because of the dog hair in the bed and on the blanket.

The room needed a pretty big scrub down. There were dead bugs and food crumbs on the floor. The toilet needed to be scrubbed.

For my purposes, the kitchenette was well set up and I had a very comfortable bed and nice shower. I made use of the free laundry facility and the commissary had some nice treats (Ben and Jerry's mini cartons). Staff are very responsive. Weekly cleaning is reliable.

I usually stay there once a month this time was horrible I was in room # 102 and there is a tapping or leaking sound in the bathroom ceiling that kept me up all night. It was horrible!!

I love the spacious room and bathroom. Upstairs was very loud and the dishwasher wasn't clean. We didn't use it but it did have a bad smell when standing near it.

The room was spacious and clean. Hotel felt a little old but it was clean. Quiet The location was too far from campus for this visit. Our tv remote did not work properly and when I reported to front desk, she was friendly but not useful. Just gave me a couple of batteries. I could not change the batteries. A properly working remote should have been given to me, but I didn't push the issue.

The room was playing, but it appears that someone fried food in the room so the room smelled like cooked grease that never went away during the day, which is annoying being that I have gastric issues

I didn’t sleep for 2 nights due to a constant noise coming from the bathroom vents. I notified the front desk who said a manager would contact me and I never heard from anyone. It’s the worst night stay in a hotel I’ve ever had, and the management clearly doesn’t care!

Staff was helpful and friendly, room was nice, the floor and carpet could’ve been cleaned a little better, but overall, no real complaints. We had a great stay here.

The kitchen had clearly not been cleaned. There was fossilized chicken in the fridge that had clearly been there a looong time. The staff laughed wrote the room number down.

Room was quiet, well appointed, clean. Hotel was in convenient location to university and large avenue of restaurants and stores. Bed was very comfortable and pillows large and long. Probably staying here again in a week. Oh, parking slots are wide and you can feel comfortable that car won’t get dinged.

Great staff. We arrived almost an hour earlier than check in time which is 3pm. We drove 4 hours to attend a wedding scheduled to start at 3:30pm. The staff hadn’t cleaned the room yet due to being fully booked. The housekeeper immediately agreed to go clean our room as we were stressed that we would miss my sister’s wedding. The room was cleaned and we were able to get cleaned up and dressed and made it to the wedding on time. The room was cleaned. We Will definitely stay there again.

Staff not friendly

Staff was great. Bathroom shower rod needed replacing but staff never did it. I like the property and plan to make it my destination choice.

The first room had broken AC, so they moved us. Apparently, the new girl at the desk didn't know how to transfer a booking so it resulted in being double charged. I was in town for one night to have surgery and to come home to find a $215 charge for one night was not what I needed. Called them and tried to straighten it out; got an email with invoice, but no refund hit my bank. Still dealing with this and haven't heard a peep out of the manager. Very disappointed. I spent my life in hospitality and this is unexceptable.

8 in the morning I heard constant banging noise from the hallway.

The hotel is in good condition, with a clean area and ample parking, but I find it extremely expensive considering it is not close to the city center. I understand the whole ‘supply/demand’ situation, but during my stay I noticed it wasn’t even at 50% occupancy.

Quick and friendly check in, Cold AC, hot strong shower, very comfortable bed. Perfect after a long day on the road!

Went we book in went to the room put our chickens and fish into the freezer we never know that the freezer not working both our meat spoils and we tell the manager nothing had be done about it they just brush it off like it nothing shame on them

The Front Desk Staff were excellent in Check In!

The floor in the kitchenette area was Very Slippery. It was almost like someone had spilled oil on it. I told the housekeeper about it.

This property is in a great location. It is just off of I-10 and close to FSU. The staff were very pleasant.

It serves free coffee in the lobby. The staffs are great and helpful. The studio has everything you need to cook meals. Convenient to walk to the nearby KFC.

The check in was fine but they gave us a handicapped room on 2nd floor. Apparently they also gave us a room under a family with kid(s) who ran back and forth til 10p and then at 7a, then off and on all night. The walls are quiet but the floor is like a drum. We couldn't sleep for two nights so I really can't say our stay was good.

This hotel was very nice, very clean, comfortable, it smelled well and beds were comfortable. Its affordable yet it doesn't feel cheap.

This was a good hotel for our overnight stay. My only complaint is that the pet fee of $50 is much more than other pet friendly hotels.

The person that checked me in was fantastic. Friendly, wiling to help, asked me how I was. Made conversation and made me feel welcome.

The rooms looked clean but on closer look the pillows were dirty and looked used. I went to the near by Costco and bought linen. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and professional.

We stayed here for one night as a layover to get to Orlando. The staff were all very nice and hospitable. Overall the hotel is in good condition and we had a good stay, but a good deep cleaning and some fresh paint would make a ton of difference.

Room was nice, BEDS HORRIBLE! I had to sleep in the recliner chair both nights! Beds are way too soft and when you sit on the side of the bed the mattress goes to the box springs! Wasn’t happy about sleeping in recliner after paying for 2 beds! Asked if all rooms had the same kind of mattresses and was told yes, no reason to go to another room if the beds were going to be the same! Some people have back problems and needs hard mattress!

There was a guy with his car on blocks rebuilding his brakes in the parking lot. I think there are families living here. They are pet friendly so there are a lot of barking dogs here. From the outside it looks pretty good but I am glad I am only staying one night.

We’ve stayed here before 3-4 years ago and they’ve renovated since then. The rooms were clean and comfy. You know how sometimes pet friendly rooms are average or below? Smelling like pets? Not here! Would stay here in the future!

I just stayed the past 32 days at this Candlewood and it helped keep me sane. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff were always helpful and attentive. The area has a bit of dodge, but nothing ever seemed to spill onto the site and I felt safe parking my work van in the lot. The room could have used a few extra utensils and better knives, but it was very manageable. I have seen some complaints about a loud front door in previous reviews. When I arrived the door was squeaky, but it was fixed a week or so later. I would 100% stay here again.

The room was not cleaned to hotel standards, there was hair on the sink and in the tub. One of the beds in the room was made up with a sock in it, there was dog food and urine on the carpet in the room. My sister got bit by a bed bug. None of the staff members wanted to take ownership of my complaint they all said to speak with the general manager. After finally getting in contact with her after calling on numerous occasions, she appeared to be very unprofessional, condescending and rude as she only was able to tell me that there was no bedbugs in the room without even having the room, inspected for bedbugs. She was very argumentative and very unapologetic. all of this HOTEL staff members need to take a hospitality training starting with the general manager.

Toilet in room running all night, it rained heavy two days and water somehow got in to the room and carpet was wet. Bags and items that we had in that area got soaked, reported to the front desk in hopes it doesn’t happen to another guest.

My stay was very good. No issues after checking in. Prior to checking, I inquired about an upcoming reservation for the next day; I had to reserve my stay separately. Any whoot. While questioning my other 2 reservations, I was informed I had 2, desk clerk Corey states I only had one showing in the system. I gave him all my info. He tells me, “well I can’t make the other one magically appear.” He displayed such an unprofessional attitude. Now I’ve worked in hospitality for over three years as a hotel night auditor, so I know the ins/outs. So I had to call my booking to confirm my reservations. After driving for 5 1/2 hrs to get here, not eating anything; it took me an hour to get this corrected before I could get settled.

Quick, easy no frills but super clean!

All of the area was clean and pet friendly, that is difficult to find.

I chose this hotel because another family member has stayed here. It’s quiet/ spacious/ easy to get to. I would stay here again but some insight: if you forget anything (ie: toothbrush paste) it is FOR SALE at the desk- typically these items are free. There is no room service (no big deal), there are kitchens and cooking items, full fridge and freezer. It was clean and tucked back off the road.

We paid 600 dollars a night (Miami vs FSU game weekend) and they refused to even make the beds. If you wanted new towels, you had to bring the used ones physically to the front desk. The bath rug had the borders frayed and the towels had stains. Never ever have had an experience like this before, not even when I was a student and stayed in very low budget hotels.
