Talkeetna Inn

The Rooms get a bit stuffy and there seems to be Electrical issues.

The room was small, but adequate. The hotel was a bit off the main tourist road, so it was peaceful. We had a good view. There is a nice lounge. It was close to all the gift shops and restaurants, but far enough away to be quiet. All in all, it was quaint, quiet, clean, friendly, and well maintained. I would stay here again.

Property has everything you need for few days stay. Close to river with breathtaking views.

Staff were amazing! The room was so tiny though and the walls were paper thin.

Neat and nice but small rooms with low-quality beddings. Minimal furniture. No closet to hang any garments. Coffee/tea maker and refrigerator in the room. Walkable to small commercial area with restaurants.

Clean room, comfortable beds, parking outside our door

Check-in was not any problem but would help if the person at the reception is a bit more warm and receptive towards the guests .

Our group of six enjoyed our stay here! The staff was so welcoming and helpful, and they were ready at the train station to pick us up and gave us a ride back when we left. The location was great — the river was nearby with views of Denali and the shops, restaurants, and historical sites were all within easy walking distance. We would stay here again.

You get a bug zapper. They also play bingo at 7 o’clock, but you must be 21+ to play. Beds are comfortable and clean. Great walking distance to the downtown area. Right next to the river.

Highly recommend.

Could use a mirror in the main bed area for convenience close to electrical outlets. I would stay here again!

Tiny cozy rooms

The room was smelling bad. I did request for change / fixing but no one ever attended. Location was great but property was horrible

No tv in the room. No place to open a suit case. Tiny vanity with no place to put down make up or curling iron or blow dryer. Time shower. Tiny room. No amenities except they did provide earplugs!!

While the room was clean, there was a definite musty odor. Luckily the weather cooperated and we were able to leave our door and window open, which aired it out somewhat. The furnishings were very dated. The mattress was on the soft side for our liking. There were very few access accessible plug-ins, although the bedside lamps had charging ports, which was convenient at least for one person. Blackout curtains were only moderately “blackout“. Definitely bring your eye shade for sleeping. Unfortunately, the charging ports were not all functional.
