The swimming area was nice except that there was no staff rounding and there was a young group of men and women who were loud, drinking alcohol, vaping and had a boom box with non-family friendly music. It was off putting and looked as there was no security cameras on the pool. And the lack of towels in the swimming area.

The Staff was amazing. We had some special needs when we first arrived and Katie and Bebe made sure we had what we needed. They also helped us with our reservation. We are sure to return and let people know what a great experience we had.

This was so noisy. The street behind the hotel had so many cars with begged up motors, motorcycles, just cars crushing, a bunch gathered in the lot across the street with music blasting. They even brutally web nt away(after midnight) but the cars going by we're loud. Earplugs and pillow over head loud

Was placed next to an ADA room, there was a screaming child all night. I had ear plugs in, the fan going, and white noise playing. Had to call the front desk twice and asked to be moved. They stated there was not an open room available. The sound between the rooms was absolutely terrible.

Second time staying here this month. I’m more so irritated about the fitted sheet. When I pulled the blanket back there was dried blood and snot on it. Yes I have pix to back it up.

We loved the restaurant. We had a problem with the keycard for our room and staff was prompt and efficient at resolving the issue. Our kids and grandkids enjoyed the pool. The rooms were very nice.

For an additional $10 you can receive a voucher to the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet had eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast, B&G, fruits and other assorted basic items. The staff was absolutely amazing, we had zero complaints. We did not visit the pool or gym, but we will this coming week. The only small complaint I have is the bed- it was pretty firm. All in all it’s a good place and I’d stay here again!

The front desk staff was very courteous. That goes a long way with me. The room was really clean and comfortable with only one exception. I am over 6' tall and the room had a very low toilet.

Needs to be better staffed, felt unsafe and noisy, everyone was complaining about the towels I had to go to the linen room to get some but they only had 3 towels dry! We would expect some kind of refund after paying over $200

The room was nice and the staff was great but sadly understaffed. Check in was very late and he got there and hour early but the room wasn't ready at 3pm in was quiet a bit later so we had to wait, they were supposed to call my number when the room was ready but they never did and our drive was quite long to the motel, I finally had to go ask again about our room to see if it was ready ( about 45 minutes later). My daughter and husband finally got there room around 5pm, two separate rooms. Towels seemed to be an issue as well, very few towels and no towels in swimming are, at least for 2hrs.

This is a Holiday Inn in the middle of Tacoma, that being said, the staff was incredible - we were in town for a volleyball tournament and my girls forgot some things in the chaos of running out of the room that morning. Housekeeping alerted the front office and they called me to let me know the items were safe and that we could come pick them up at the front desk when we were done. She even asked my girls how they did in the tournament when we picked up our forgotten items - which is above and beyond. Thank you!

The bathtub still has lots of dark coloured hair. But because we didn’t have time to shower in the morning we didn’t bother changing rooms.

There was no note at the night about the water cutoff. It was placed in the morning. Otherwise we have planned accordingly. We had to go near by restaurant for food and using the washroom. Further, no apologies from staff or concerns.. Felt like we paid to held hostage at hotel. Total ruined our new year.

Always a good stay

The room itself was clean, well maintained, and the bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom was one of the stranger I've encountered in a hotel - half the tub was blocked off by a wall requiring mild parkour skill to get in and out of - but it at least had a grab bar to compensate for this. My room was right next to the sole elevator, which thankfully didn't seem to make too much noise through the walls.

Our room was filled with beer bottles everywhere

Very kind guest service who made sure that we felt like the number one priority through every request no matter how large or small. They took time to explain things when we had questions as well as gave us information about things ahead of time that we may have not even thought to ask about. Room service was efficient and very diligent with their work. And the restaurant within the lobby had food that was nothing short of excellent.

Stay was so/so. Front desk staff was friendly and check- in process was fast. Security guard on duty throughout the night was helpful. Free, fresh coffee in the lobby a huge plus! First room we were put in had a strong odor of bleach so we switched rooms, this room also had a strong odor of some type of chemical. Hotel needs to be updated and fells dirty and tired. Seemed like there may be some full time residents staying there that we observed doing there laundry and could hear loud music coming from some of the rooms. Water in shower was warm but never got hot. Breakfast was not free, looked okay but I wouldn't go so far as to pay for it. Walls paper thin and could hear our neighbor's talking and watching tv into the wee hours of the night. All in all our stay was okay but for the price, unfortunately, I can not recommend.

We had to wait an extra 15 minutes for our room to be ready, but the lovely Jasmine at the front desk gave us vouchers for free breakfast the next morning. She was absolutely professional and friendly. Our room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The neighborhood was a little questionable, but the hotel has 24 hour security watching vehicles all night. I really appreciated that. Jesus made our breakfast and it was great. The ladies working at the restaurant were wonderful too.

Room was nice. Property was under construction so it felt run down. There was also a strange green light above the inside of the door that blinked periodically all night. It was obnoxious. We booked last minute for the night so it was sufficient for a place to sleep but likely wouldn’t book again.

Room was clean and beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was ok. It would have been nice to have a few more options. It is convenient as there are no breakfast places nearby. Nothing within walking distance for breakfast. The traffic noise coming from the street is unfortunate. It goes all night and I’m not one that can use earplugs when I sleep. They’re doing some renovations but that did not affect our stay. Security for parking area is working overnight. Good lighting in parking lot. Overall a good experience

My daughter had to have surgery. The staff did everything to make us feel comfortable. They went out of their way. Got a wheelchair and shower chair to help with her care

When we arrived to our room there were chips all over the floor . There was a spot on the carpet with sticky stuff and stucky stuff on the table . We found earings on the floor and hair in the sink.

While walking from our car to the hotel, we witnessed a VERY large rat aprox 18inches long run from a bush next to the door, to the nearby dumpster area. The staff we reported it to seemed concerned and said they'll be sure to follow up on that. Also the breakfast buffet was beautiful and had many choices, but it was quite bland, and reminded us of institutional food- bland but filling and pretty to look at.

Check in process was so smooth and quick. The smash burger restaurant was delicious and a plus that they are open late. Breakfast was good too. I would definitely stay again.

Cons: the construction work made it unkempt. Toilet seat in room would not stay up.

The staff though could be friendlier. There was also a discrepancy in the pricing for breakfast. I was told it was $10 at the front desk but when I got to the breakfast area, the cashier said it was $17! That's a big difference. Please come up with a uniform price for breakfast so as to avoid confusion and frustration.

So noisy. Sounds like really loud cars and motorcycles were racing around the hotel all night. Bedding was wet! Why? Gross. Noisy painting very late at night. Horrible. Couldn’t even stay the second night. Chose to leave and drive home.

Room and facility was very clean. Only thing I didn’t like was the walls were very thin so one can easily hear noise in the hall and neighboring rooms. It was annoying that there was kids playing in the hall for over an hour both of our mornings there, including playing with our room door handle.

I stay at Hilton properties often, so I have a high standard for service and BB at the Holiday Inn absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, she was professional, warm, and attentive. She made me feel genuinely welcomed and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was just as smooth and comfortable as my Hilton experiences. Employees like BB make all the difference. Holiday Inn is lucky to have her, and I’ll definitely be returning because of the outstanding service she provided!

Hot tub isn’t working, although the pool is inside it is absolutely freezing. The room was great other the n the shower water was very inconsistent, would go from hot to cold.

For the money we paid per night, the hotel does not provide free bottled water per day of stay. We were compelled to pay $2 per small bottle of water. Most hotels provide free bottled water, even the lesser known hotels. Also, there's no elevated place for suitcases. We had to squat down every time we open our suitcases on the floor, which is harder for the backs and legs of older people, or we had to lift up our suitcases and place them on the bed to open it.

This area is so horrible. I had no idea until I pulled in and felt so incredibly unsafe. Came inside and there was no one at the front desk for like 5 minutes. Another man was waiting at the front as well and finally a girl comes running over with some food and was less than professional. Just so gross. The whole place.

This place is in the ghetto. Stay away. Room had either flooded previously or they did a deep carpet cleaning. Floor was soaked and smelled horrible. Stay some play else. For $250+ a night I would stay somewhere nicer.

The hotel.com provided wrong location of the hotel. I ended up in another hotel. I didn’t stay in this hotel. I stayed in another location of holiday inn hotel. The hotel manager told me to cancel the reservation and he will not charge for the reservation.

Hotel itself isn’t the issue but the area the hotel is located. Rooms sit across from a shopping complex that gets a little loud at night. Although the hotel is still going under renovations, it’s not noticeable. Restaurant available onsite which is great and the breakfast wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst. Average but not worth the price when Denny is right down the street for around the same price. This is the second stay at this location and won’t be a third because of the location this hotel is at.

This stay was terribly disappointing and the hotel is sorely understaffed. The TV did not work; when I picked up the phone to call the front desk there was no connection there, either. When I went downstairs to speak with the front desk person they were the one who came up to try to fix the technical issue with the TV. He crawled around our whole room with a flashlight following the cable but ultimately could not fix the problem. I asked for a credit - which they could not do because we booked through a third party site. I asked for comped breakfast, which at least we did get. Then overnight we tried to turn on the AC unit fan for white noise (as is recommended on written instructions in the room to drown out the car and foot traffic right outside the room) and it didn't work. I'm pretty flexible and understand that things go sideways sometimes, but this was a comedy of errors in that the TV, phone, and AC all were not functioning. Would not stay here again, and seriously second-guessing using third-party sites for future bookings as it severely limits staff ability to make things right if things go wrong. The bed was comfy and the staff was kind - but this hotel needs some serious attention.

The driveway entrance is not convenient. North traffic needs to make a left in block of a busy street. There is only one way in and out.

We should have been informed of the extensive construction before booking though. The surroundings of the property were not safe, were ridden with trash, hypodermic needles, and a police vehicle was stationed just inside the property on several occasions.

the staff was Great and so was our room. now to what I did not like, the traffic was loud they do give you ear plugs and tell you to leave the fan on and warn you not to walk out side at night because it is not safe...BIG DRUG problem this used to be a nice place. We checked in early online as promoted by the text message. Apparently by doing the check in online prior to arriving it would make the physical check in smooth and quick, it did not. My husband went to check in while I waited with kids and luggage and after 45 minutes he came out and said I had to be the one to do since my name was on the reservation. I went in assuming the clerk was waiting for my id since I was right out side the door and my husband had already waited for 45 minutes but no he had taken someone else who had a serious issue with her reservation. Instead of using the other computer to check me in while the customer was on the phone he simply stood there doing nothing. I waited almost 40 minutes and finally got checked in which took another 15 minutes so doing the online check in was pointless. I booked through exspdia and breakfast for 2 was included so we thought. In the morning we went down and had to pay $11.98 a piece for the breakfast voucher which we then had to go to the restaurant and order from a limited menu. The food was horrible and tiny portions. They messed up one of the breakfast bowels that was eggs cheese bacon and potato’s and only brought out a small bowl of potato’s which I had to send back and by the time we got them like 30 minutes later we had to get a to go container. The breakfast resembled a continental breakfast except tiny portions so it was just terrible. I would have saved money and had a better breakfast at McDonald’s. The hotel
