We chose this pitucular hotel because of location to the Tacoma Dome and price. The room was clean and very basic and met our needs to sleep and attend an event at the Dome (we walked to the Dome across the parking lot). The breakfast was your typical buffet, it was OK. There is no other food except a vending machine offered. The area is kind of sketchy and I advise caution if you venture out on foot. They do offer free parking in a secured garage. I knocked off a star for putting us into a room with a queen bed when I reserved a king, we didn't complain because we didn't care to move and the bed was comfortable. To sum up, great place to attend Tacoma Dome events.

When arrived told us no air conditioning. Said could bring a fan. Parents room the window wouldn’t open they said would send someone. They never showed up. Only one elevator working. So long waits. Poorly managed.

Upon checking in we were told that the AC was not working but we would be able to open the window and could have a fan for the room. We had already paid for our room so we continued with the booking. We get up to our room and the window are screwed shut. We call and maintained comes and opens it for us to quickly realize that we are right next to a train which is unbearably loud. It was too hot in the room even with the fan and window open for us. Staff was really nice and never showed frustration with helping us, but it really affected our sleep not to have working air. Staff allowed us to move rooms away from the train which helped a bit, but overall I would not stay again.

This place is in a little bit of a sketchy area, but the garage is severe because it has a key card entry and covered underground. Staff was okay, the young lady working when I checked in was a little aloof but fine. The biggest issue was the AC was broken all night so she said they’ll let us know when fixed which of course they didn’t and it was hot all night but I couldn’t do anything since I had nowhere else to go last minute. The window had to be open all night which had invited all bugs and whatever else into the room since so I had bug bites or something on my back. I will definitely not come back here and I will not recommend this to anyone. It was a terrible experience unfortunately and also the elevator was horrendous. It stops at every level even if nobody is waiting on that level. There should be 2 elevators but one of them was completely out of commission.

Staff was nice and rooms were clean. The elevator was out of service and the air conditioner was also broken. The place needs a renovation, but other than that, it's fine for a quick stay.

Our room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable. Breakfast needs help. AC was broken and the front desk person said it's been down for awhile. They brought us a fan and said we could leave the window open. That did help to cool the room down but it was noisy all night and big lights outside made it very light in the room. So, sorry 3 stars is all you get. Please notify guests if there is no AC as advertised.

My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I thought there could have been a better selection of food for breakfast. Check-In and Out was easy as was finding a parking place in the garage. I will stay here again!

We liked that this hotel was comfortable, clean, and had free, on-site parking. As two women traveling alone, it's super important to feel safe where we are sleeping. Inside the hotel, we felt very safe and secure. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was included. The worst part about staying here was the location. The hotel is RIGHT next to Tacoma Dome (a huge event center) where there are frequent vehicle break-ins, especially when there are events happening there. We had a roof rack storage compartment and couldn't fit in the 6'6 gated parking garage, but the garage definitely would've added more security for our car (just not available for larger vehicles). Instead, we had to park in the front of the hotel. They do have cameras out front, so that gave us some piece of mind. On a separate note, their AC was down when we stayed (for 2 nights). It didn't get too hot, but it was definitely an inconvenience for the price. They did offer complimentary fans.

Clean and comfortable room Staff was friendly and professional, awesome The HVAC (cooling) was not working and the windows would not open, screwed shut. Very stuffy and warm when temps outside were 75+. We were not advised that they knew it wasn't working and no fans were brought around for customers.

We arrived to this location to check in. We were promptly told that the AC in the entire facility was broken. And advised that we should not check in because there was no estimated time for the fix and the building was heating up substantially. Since we reserved the room through Expedia, the hotel guaranteed us a full refund upon contacting them. Expedia did contact them and they refused to honor what the front desk told us in person…NO REFUND.

The receptionist was very helpful when I needed to print out a new Greyhound ticket after Greyhound cancelled my original booking at very short notice. Breakfast was sufficient. The air conditioning system was not working when I arrived. Fortunately (a) the reception managed to obtain an electric fan for me to use, which made my stay comfortable and (b) it was in May and not at the height of summer.

I've asked twice, are you not double charging me? And here we are, I paid almost three times the amount given they will hold 100 for 1 month. This is ridiculous. Please, return my money back.

This room was fine. We were not informed, however, that the entire hotel was without AC and it was pretty toasty the whole time we were there. The room was clean and whatnot but just be aware they aren’t very communicative about things.

Hotel was clean but located directly across from a Methadone clinic so many homeless addicts wandering around nearby. AC didn’t work the 3 nights we stayed and front desk staff obviously didn’t want to deal with it so they put a post it note on the back of the monitor at the front desk that read ‘AC not working sorry’. Breakfast was ok. Nice facility just really scary neighborhood so beware. Parking was locked underground so that is a plus because your car wouldn’t be safe outside.

I appreciate that the staff was friendly and my room was clean, but my AC didn’t work, the shower had really weak water pressure, and the WiFi signal was terrible and slow. Overall the hotel felt really run down :(

The room was clean and the staff were lovely. The property had no working ac for the night and the elevators were not well maintained. The door to the stairs was jammed and we couldn’t get it open on our floor to get to the stairs. There is not many parking stalls, so limit the number of cars you might bring.

The room itself was clean but STUFFY, no AC, can’t open the windows and the fan was inadequate to keep the room comfortable. The elevator was not great. Was super glitchy and too many people using it to be an easy usage. When I tried to use the stairs the door to the lobby was locked and I had to walk back up to wait again to catch the elevator. Room Had no air-conditioning and we could not sleep at all throughout our stay. Staff was not able to repair it or switch a room for us. I would never ever stay there again. Also - the lock on th bathroom locked and no-one could assist us to get into the bathroom . Horendous experience overall. Will need credit for the stay

The staff was great! The rooms could be cleaner. There was a dirty brown towel in the corner of the bathroom that I found. The surfaces looked like they had not been wiped. The elevator was working!

Room was clean and parking was easy. The breakfast was okay, my waffle came out underdone and the juice was broken. We tried the bar/restaurant. The menu was inaccurate regarding what drinks were actually available and the food was mediocre. The water and ice throughout the building had a foul taste to it and needs to be filtered.

Having the underground parking was a great safety feature and much appreciated as traveling alone. Breakfast choices were various and ready when I arrived at 8:15.

The parking garage IS secure but there are numerous warnings about the high theft neighborhood. The "adaptive" bath had no seat/stool. The handheld shower was not functional and its wall holder was loose. The overhead shower control did not move. The water pressure was low. The hook on the back of the bathroom door was loose. However it's clear that the housekeepers are doing their best.

We chose this hotel based on its reasonable price with breakfast included. We found the hotel to be very clean, the lobby large, and the staff very accommodating. The included breakfast, while standard fare, was hearty and plentiful. They also had a coffee machine with specialty coffee options, like lattes and macchiatos, available 24 hours. The room was very adequate, with USB ports on each side of the bed, a large TV, desk and chair, two large drawers with shelf above to place suitcase. The bathrom had decent counter space and a shelf for cosmetics. The location is near a port and a train rail. It was quiet during the night. The location is not convenient for walking to local cafes or restaurants, but if you have a car, it seems close enough to where the action is. We were visiting family members who provided transportation. We did not visit a pool or exercise room. All in all, while not a luxury hotel, we were very pleased with our stay.

Our TV didn't work when we arrived back late on our first night, and the front desk gal came up and tried to help, but when that didn't work, she gave us a new room (and personally checked to see if the TV was working!) Our beds and bedding were 100% comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was awesome!! A good stay!

Breakfast was good, Waffles, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, etc. Serving and dining areas were clean and organized. Parking was great and felt secure with a gated entry. Fitness room was sufficient but would not accommodate a large number of people. Room was clean, linens were fresh, mattress was firm with comfortable pillows. Looks like there are still some renovations underway but the updates are modern and inviting.

I will definitely choosing this Best Western as my next hotel stay. Very clean and quiet and the view of downtown is best.

Yes shops near by. Stayed at your location because it was easy access to St. Jospeh's Hospital . Staff was very courteous and kind. I felt very safe with the underground parking situation. I thought the breakfast was very good and I enjoyed Keurig machine with many coffees and lattes. we will recommend this hotel to others and would stay again anytime.

They say that you can’t pick your neighbors… true in this case however I didn’t feel unsafe.

Everything was well outdated tv but it was okay a hidden fee of 100$ so if you pay 300 for 3 nights.. it would be 400$ once you check in

The property was very clean and inviting and the front desk staff was extremely nice. Unfortunately the elevators were not working during our stay so that was fun 😕 The parking was terrible the first night and the garage is not friendly to big cars when it's full, I got an awful scratch to prove it. When the garage is more vacant its not an issue at all though. The location is wonderful to the dome and a handful of local restaurants are nearby so that's really nice. I'd stay again but in a smaller car to avoid the garage issues.

The location was good and close to downtown. The staff was very friendly but the property is somewhat run down. The elevators were broken our entire stay requiring us to climb seven flights of stairs everytime we left or returned to our room. Television didn't work properly. After several failed attempts to reach anyone at the front desk had to walk down the seven flights of stairs to request someone to repair it.

Check-in with Rachelle (maybe Rochelle, sorry don’t know the spelling) was awesome! She was prompt, friendly, super clear and helpful. We had an Amazon package (knee scooter) coming for my husband who just had surgery so that he could scoot around the Tacoma Dome for Mat Classic. She took a note about the package and texted when it arrived, then held it at the desk for us. This was super helpful to us as it was a busy weekend. She made the experience a happy one. Thank you!

Parking in the underground garage made me feel safe with elevator access to my floor for more privacy. Will be booking more stays at this location.

First, the staff was amazing. Everybody was so nice and accommodating. After being in Tacoma unexpectedly for my mom’s medical emergency, the staff was more than helpful finding ways to accommodate my stay during such a stressful time. We will be back in a few months for follow up appointments and I know where we will be staying.

Clean, easy access to Tacoma dome we came just to see Brandon Lake and this was completely convenient you literally walk out the hotel and into the Tacoma dome parking lot.

The hotel has been completely revamped. The rooms were really clean. The hotel was really clean. The staff was really nice. We were there for a concert so it was really packed, but everything was really efficient. The breakfast was amazing a lot of options and it had some gluten-free options as well. The hotel and the grounds around the hotel were safe. It is in downtown Tacoma, but the hotel and everything about the hotel was really safe. Definitely was pleasantly surprised and will and would stay there again.

The main lobby was very clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was your standard hotel continental setup: powdered eggs, bacon, sausage, and fresh waffles. The waffles were great, and the rest was about what you’d expect for a free breakfast, so no complaints there. We did grab a snack from the snack area and accidentally picked one that was a day past expiration, but the biggest drawback of the stay was that one of the elevators was out of service. With a full hotel, that meant pretty long waits going up or down. Our room itself was clean and comfortable, and despite the small inconveniences, we would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has seriously become so much better than it was. I refuse to stay there the past few years because my car was broken into in the garage. This place is top-notch now. The garage is secure. Everything is working well, including the elevators. The rooms have been updated. And everything is clean. The staff is very good and efficient. I will definitely stay here again.

Hotel has been remodeled recently. I was there for a concert and it was convenient to walk to Tacoma dome.

Second visit. Elevators are very slow and one is always broken. It seems to be in a permanent state of repair. Rooms are solid, clean and comfortable.

The hotel is a close walking distance to the Tacoma Dome, which was our primary interest. Although it was a nice property, the room did not have any heat and the shower was also cold.

Love how convenient this hotel is. Super close to the train station and the Tacoma Dome. It's also been recently renovated so everything feels good and looks nice overall. Buffet breakfast is nice with some different options. Only complaints is because the train station is close it can be noisy. Also in the room we stayed in the windows weren't sealed properly and there was a bit of a draft coming through the room.

Felt safe. Elevator is so slow though. I've been to many hotels, but this has the longest i had to wait for an elevator. Only one side was working when I was there. Thermostat didn't work at first, had to keep pushing buttons for it to turn on. Looks old so must be that. Room is cozy, big tv. Love that it has microwave. Love all the mirrors! Walls are so thin though. Can hear neighbors talking. Breakfast included and had just enough choices. Overall, perfectly fine for a concert accommodation.

Cons no pool

The hotel was great, you cannot beat the location if you're going to an event at the Tacomadome. It's close to Alfred's Cafe, best breakfast I've had in my life. The downside : There is a methodone clinic literally across the street from the hotel so you see drug addicts roaming the streets yelling at invisible people and breaking into cars. I'd still stay here, but don't park your car on the street.

It would have been helpful if there was clear signage about where to park due to the repaving and parking lot closure. The back parking lot seemed sketchy due to the many folks around the property doing heavy drugs and sleeping in vehicles. My room lacked a number by the door causing confusion. The hallway noise was loud as if my door were open which was unsettling. The flood light 10 feet from my window was directed to my room. The window shade was effective except for the bottom part which allowed a stream of light all night. Otherwise it was fine.

The only cons there was no pool and sauna and on the website it shows pictures and on the description, and elevators were slow and sometimes not work. Also after hours will not find parking in the main lot, there was additional parking in the back.

A bit confusing to get here but great outcome

Location was a bit far from most things but over all amazing staff! Amazing stay!! Would stay there again. And also loved the parking garage that’s closed off only for guest.

There was still drywall tape behind the toilet that had been plastered over. Everything was otherwise extremely clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. Better indicators for overflow parking or signage outside directing traffic because the garage was full would also have been nice. This wouldn't stop me from staying here again, but I'd wait until they are done renovating to give them my business again. Compromising the safety of guests for this was unacceptable, and the wait times at the elevator sometimes exceeded 5 minutes.

The front desk person didn’t know what she was doing. The room wasn’t clean. It’s across the street from a methadone clinic and there was numerous people laying on the property who appeared to be homeless.

Tried to use this hotel for my son who was travelling through Tacoma. They would not cooperate with me using my credit card on check in and he was not able to check in or stay! Prepaid for the room and we were not able to check in.

The website showed a pool and restaurant… neither one exists. It also showed a gym a lot larger than it really was. No ice machines.

Great stay, nice room, hotel had just undergone remover at least that’s how it look so everything was up to par. Parking was nice and secure in a garage that can only be opened with keys which helped safety. My only wish was that the bathroom was bigger but for everything else to be great I also can’t complain

Our room apparently had a water leak and we were told to not shower (10:30pm) and wait until further notice which didn’t happen until 11:30pm where we were asked to move rooms. While the service was good the inconvenience was bad.

The restaurant and bar were both closed. Part of the reason I booked this was for the cot of having a restaurant.

A 3-minute walk from the Tacoma Dome!

Paid for a King bed received a full bed. Mattress was extremely uncomfortable. There was blood on the bathroom walls. The neighbors in the room down the hall blasted music that was rattling the walls and they did nothing about it. Trash hotel

I was in town with my adult daughter and her newborn son. When I arrived to check in, I was told that the elevator was out of order and the lowest guest room was on the 3rd floor. Not great news for a grandma with bad knees and plenty of baby items to carry up a very sketchy, cold, halfway outdoor stairwell. The streets of the hotel were surrounded by homeless in broken down vehicles and people standing right next to the security gate. Had I known about the renovations and the elevator when I booked, I would not have stayed here.

This hotel is under remodeling construction (in February 2025). The elevators were not in service. The room could have been better vacuumed. Bathroom was clean. Had to walk to the main desk and ask for an extra blanket and how to get the TV to work. It did work with a few fuzzy channels. Breakfast was nice. Staff were helpful and pleasant. They called us 2 days before our arrival to ask if we wanted to cancel because of no elevator, but there were not other places available on such short notice. It worked out fine for us because we were on the 3rd floor, able to navigate the stairs and laugh about the circumstance we were in.

First room I entered had a bathtub full of water. The only saving grace was the kind staff

The breakfast and free parking were good. The rest was awful. No elevator and the places you walked through to get to the rooms were places no guest should ever know existed. Mattresses and old furniture stacked to the ceiling, coffee cups littered everywhere. Stairwells full of garbage and discarded ironing boards and luggage racks in a heap. Stairs were half outside and 6 flights of stairs to get to the lobby was exhausting. Not appealing and nothing as advertised. Except breakfast, breakfast was great. Rooms were mediocre with many issues in upkeep.

The elevator was broken and they put us on the 5th floor.

We understand the problems of being under construction but why subject the public to such a miserable stay? ..... The staff was very pleasant under the circumstances and the discount on the return night a week later was also appreciated.

The hotel was severely outdated.

The elevators were out. It appears this has been for some time. I was called thr night before to update me. There was construction going on as well. Staff were SUPER. I spent most of ny time out and about, so 2asnt bothered other than the big travel from parking garage to the 3rd floor. Super convenient. Bed was comfy. HVAC dodnt seem to be working for heat. I was fiven an extra comforter so it worked out.

We were warned about the elevators not working ahead of time. The hotel is being renovated. What we were not not warned of is that breakfast was not on. We got a grab and go bag and coffee, juice and oatmeal were also available. It will be nice when it’s finished.

The elevator was out but they did give me the opportunity to withdraw my reservation, so that’s my choice. The rooms could use improvement. The bathroom counter was missing. It appeared that it was there at some point.. but not anymore.

There’s not a pool, breakfast was not what it says on the website. The appliance in the room were broken the elevators were also not working not a great place to stay.

the staff were great. the hotel not so much. Old and tired, with elevator out of service. The room was average. the common areas much below average.

No elevator, no running water, no WiFi. Toilet leaks after every use, the sanitation of the building was terrible, holes in carpet. Not worth staying

I am not sure what happened as I've stayed here before. Elevator was out and it was too late for me to book elsewhere so I stayed and lugged bags three floors with recent hand surgery. My rooms heat didn't work so I had to get moved. No ice for the water, vending machines were out so I had to drink warm tap water. I've had better days. Staff was very nice .

Over priced for having no elevator or signage on how to exit. Everyone was lost. Night crew was rude and unhelpful.

The elevator was not working. The sheets on the bed had hair on them. There was no warm water for showers. Had to call maintainance due to no lights working.

Convenient being RIGHT next to the dome but hotel & rooms were outdated and not super clean. Elevator didn't work & horriblr signage for where to find the stairs. Overpriced for what you get. DO NOT go to the Chevron right down the street, very unsafe environment.

Really convenient place to stay when going to an event at the Tacoma Dome. Literally across the parking lot from the dome entrance. The property seemed fine and we did not have any safety concerns. The price matches the quality. There was a pair of someone’s left over socks in our room in a drawer and a piece of hair in a different drawer?? but linens seemed clean. They do have those weird little pillows that hotels do sometimes but the bed was good enough. Will stay again.

Hotel was dirty, dingy, run down and kinda creepy. Stairwell was creepy, smelled like cigarettes. Room was dirty, tv was so staticky couldn’t see the picture. Mismatched furniture, the tub was plugged, the ceiling leaked into the shower when running water. Place is super run down but it was a place to sleep.

Elevator was out, which was fine but after getting to the 5th floor the room was dirty. There was empty beer can and full 2 liter of soda under the skirt of the bed. Hair in the bathroom floor, sink in bathroom was clogged. The tv had no signal/seecixe

Perfect location. Staff is so nice and accommodating. The free breakfast was way better than expected. If you’re ok with having some old school lodgings and aren’t looking for a luxury stay - this place is perfect.

Elevators not working. Was hard to accommodate someone with a disability. Staff was nice, room was decent. Perfect place to stay if going to an event at the Tacoma Dome.

The computers were down and I was told after spending 40 min in line that I would have to re-wait in line cause my room wasn't ready 1.5 hours after it was supposed to be... room was dirty and had stains on the chair and wall... now.. the only perk was the walk to the tacoma dome... it was worth it for that alone.. and the downsides were many

What hotel has no working elevators for clients or staff? No sign of anyone even working in them. Just signs saying down for maintenance. The poor staff have to hoof six flights! Never mind the guests.

Elevator was out.. that’s fine whatever. Rest of the room for the price paid was just horrific. The bathroom is in terrible condition, the main room has electrical sockets falling out of the wall, the TV is more than 20 years old. That was one of the worst beds I’ve slept on, hate to think how old they are. All that for $300

So great to be within a very short walk to Tacoma Dome. Stay was fine. Nothing special. But nothing bad. I made my reservation about 6 months ago. The elevators were down for repairs when I arrived. Would have been nice to have been informed of that before arriving. Save on the walks up and down the stairs.

The property was run down we had to use the stairs because the elevator was not working the facilities listed were not available to use

It was super affordable! HOWEVER, Definitely gives off the spooky haunted hotel vibes. I’m giving the benefit of the doubt that they did have renovations going on at the time. Just super eerie due to elevators being down and having to take a sketchy staircase to our room then having half of the electricity out in there. The employees were SUPER sweet and supportive! Completely understanding as well!

Staff was great, building and room were clean and comfortable. Elevator was out of service. The neighborhood isn’t good but I appreciated that it’s close to the train.

I have stayed at this hotel dozens of times over the years and I kept returning due to the friendly custom service, clean rooms, and affordable rates. Unfortunately this time I was let down. The 1st room I was offered had the wall vent cover on the floor (immediately as you walk in causing me to trip) I replaced it into the wall and went about my evening,not a huge deal. Next I tried to turn on the lights on the console between the beds, there was no power to the lights, the outlets or the usb charging ports on that wall. At this point I went to the front desk and the person working that night was great. They immediately switched me to another room with working amenities. This room was smaller than the one I was in originally (I’m not sure if there was a difference in rates between the rooms and was never addressed) The first night went fine after that. The next morning I went to use the in room coffee maker only to find a weird insect where the coffee pod goes. I used a piece of TP to gently dispatch the bug for identification before taking a shower, within minutes the bathtub was filling at my feet, not draining at all. In addition to a dirty toilet, I was not happy .I then took my weird bug and returned to the front desk where I was met with an older employee who seemed curious by the bug but not concerned. I told them where the bug was found and also let them know about the clogged drain in the shower. Nothing was done about it, not even a replacement coffee pot.

Food was good. Area around the hotel wasn't very safe. One elevator was broken. Staff very helpful.

Front desk staff (a very nice lady named Day) was very friendly and helpful. TV in room didn’t work but I ignored it due to the short stay. Conveniently located near the center of Tacoma and adjacent to the dome.
