May 30- june1 we did ni stay despite we were paid in full. A glitch in the system? Thpst yiur htel gv no assistance in rectifying other than saying NO! Your other hotel took care of Anthony and ofered assistance and prevailed!!

The entire area on this hotel including the condition of the rooms…DISGUSTINGLY NASTY, SMELLY, and NOT TO MWNTION THE RUDE ATTITUDE IF THE STAFF

It was dirtiest place we ever experienced! I cannot believe it was recommended at all! You need to remove this place from ANY stay! We checked out immediately! We did not want to breath the very air in this place! It is disgusting!

Broken doors. Broke A/C outlets. Windows that will not close all the way

The place was disgusting! Reeked of drugs, druggies smoking dope by entrance door! Holes in walls, lock not stable to door, dirt everywhere!

Broken furniture, walls had several holes, outlets were not on walls(just wires laying on the floor), adjoining room door wasn't secured(only masking tape around the edges) no smoke detector(wires hanging out of the ceiling..worst of all, cockroaches!

Room had no heat they wouldn't do anything wouldn't switch my room told me I have to deal with it

Dirty rundown pest problems un kept supplies such as sheets and blankets with holes and tears as well as stained. Staff not real friendly and short with words. Don't seem professional. Sticky floors and furniture and and just not a comfortable nor inviting place. Pests were the worst part I came with two people I don't want to leave with extras. I paid online to arrive to couches and furniture piled outside which was the first red flag. Will not be returning

Decent Weather conditions kept us in the motel... Denny's, liquor store and convenience store right across the street from front door...what wasn't to like!

NOTHING We booked 2 nights but stayed for 2 hours while we found another hotel. We didn’t get to the hotel until 2:00 am and when we got there turned the lights on cock roaches were all over the bathroom floor. We never even unpacked. The bedspreads had cigarettes burns and stains on them like some human secretions on them. this was the worst hotel I have ever seen in my travels!

I left 15min after checking in, people live there. Was afraid, place is filthy and scary.

I cancelled our stay when I arrived and was told by the individual at the front desk that I needed to speak with Expedia directly to receive a rebate, since I had paid thru expedia.

The lobby are had an odor to it as did the room before turning on the air though not as bad. The room was tidy but not fully clean, there was dried blood on the light switch in the bathroom, the sink had hairs and other lint in it. The box springs aren’t covered and have hairs and dirt on them when checking the surrounding area. Needs deeper cleaning. I didn’t end up staying and was not able to get refunded but will try to file a claim with the insurance purchased at time of booking.

Most awful motel I’ve stayed.

However, the property was so smelly and dirty that I left without staying there and had to find alternative accommodation. There were also several vagabond-looking people around the property, and not surprisingly, the police turned up with lights on and were intervening with some people. This property should not be listed for travelers! It caused my much inconvenience. I was travelling with my wife and 15 year old niece.

The tub flooded. The toilet had a piece missing exposing a edge. Door top hinge was broke and didn't close all the way. Fridge wasn't cold and rusty racks. Tried calling front desk to tell them about the and the phone didn't work. We left

This property is one of the worst places I have stayed. Should have a complete overhaul. Should not be a member of Choice Hotels. The filthy halls and stairway, Unpleasant odors, very poor maintenance and upkeep.

I read the reviews and I was actually scared. But after I checked in it was not as bad as I thought. Bed was very very comfortable and overall it was quiet and got a good nights sleep

I awoke last night to use the restroom, and saw roaches crawling all over the walls. Needless to say, I am disgusted and flabbergasted that this place cost me over 400 dollars for 2 nights plus charged me a 23 dollar pet fee when they have an infestation thats going to stress me out for weeks.

Hotels.com should not recommend at provide this as a hotel on your site. I booked this hotel 2 months before our trip. We asked for 2 1st floor rooms because of a pet and a person who has issues walking up and down stairs, they did not accommodate. We had what they called "the pet' room, the couch in the room was old and dirty, the bedding had burn holes in them, it wasn't really clean. The outside of the building was dirty and trashy. I paid a $23.40 pet fee (normal fees are maybe $10.00). I paid $81.39 for that room. The second room was better, and it was in the main part of the hotel. The hotel was way overpriced for the condition, and I will never book a room at that hotel again.

Holes in unmatching bedspreads, broken couch, horrible smell, "solicitors" in parking lot. Did not stay out of concern for our safety. Expedia and hotel refused any refund except a $50 Expedia credit.

Dirty rude and says breakfast but none

Getting to it was tricky if you missed the roundabout turn. Heater didn't work. Carpet seemed very sticky. Blankets were very thin and not warm enough without any working heat in room. Get what you pay for.

They said breakfast none ,no coffee machine was broke. Garbage was up-and-down the hallway, and I was disgusted with this hotel. There was not even a blanket on our bed. I froze last night. This is ridiculous, you guys advertised this for the first time this has happened, they had no exercise room and they advertise an exercise room

My first time my room smelled of strong urine a urine couch in room gave me another room smelled of cigarettes and cigar ppl running up to you begging and they have a nerve to have you put do a deposit for none smoking room but rooms is disgusting stop letting theses ppl buy property and just get rich off us just nasty

We are disabled and were made to get a room upstairs. We had to walk up stairs and bring our walkers and bags. The staff was rude they laughed at us when we asked for a lower room That was Friday. We booked through Expedia Regardless of how booked the desk clerk should have taken one look at us and gave us better accommodations We were forced to bring our walkers up and down . They had no elevator. Saturday the desk clerk was a very rude woman who embarrassed us in front of other guests by demanding very sternly very accusatively “what’s your room number” “excuse me what room number” My party was very offended we demanded to speak to the owner on the telephone and were rudely told that Mr Patel was not available. It was early Saturday night. Other guests were having a very loud party with loud music with loud arguments with loud voices that lasted into wee hours of the morning. The desk clerk did not care when we reported it. We were woken up at 7am We were forced to turn our air conditioner on so we could get back to sleep. I am never stepping foot in your hotel again Mr Patel. Neither Yourself nor your rude staff don’t have any regard for individuals with physical disabilities. You should not represent choice hotels nor the Rodeway brand. I have no desire to speak to Mr Patel nor any of his representatives. For any apologies nor explanations. We spent good money to stay at your hotel and were very rudely disappointed. Give up this franchise.

This was a very unsanitary room with roaches that came out when i shut off the lights. the door lock was broken so it was also unsafe i could not leave the room and secure my belongings.the staff doesnt help they call for help and are told to relay the message to call expedia. The bed sheets caused me to develope hives. This was a very unsatisfying experience. I do not recommend.

The most filthy room ive ever been in. I would have not stayed if i had any other option. Had i not had my 78 yr old mother with me, i would have stayed in my car.

It was dirty, reaked of smoke and who knows what else. It was in disrepair and disgusting. We couldn't even bring ourselves to stay. We left and went to another hotel.

It sucks. It said they had breakfast and they didn’t even have coffee. The air conditioner sounded like a dying cat. It smelled like Copenhagen spit and broken dreams in the room. The only redeeming quality it had was you can flush the toilet with your foot.

Dont do it. This was tge mosf disgusting hotel I ever stayed in. There were stains allover beding. I took a moving blanket out of truck to sleep on. Section 8 hotel. Very dirty and run down.

I can't even describe in words how disgusting this place is. It's the worst hotel in america. The whole place smells like urine and feces and cigarettes mixed. There are bugs in the rooms. Every single surface is dirty including the beds. The owners should be ashamed of themselves.

The fan in the bathroom didn't work, when we got to the room there were flys and the building seemed to be in renovations! It does not at all look like the pics! If you absolutely need a cheap place to say this place should be your last resort before sleeping in your car

While there appears to be some effort to some upgrading on the property (why we didn’t give it a 1 rating) most everything else was bad to very bad.

The lobby was not air conditioned; it was hot. The room was very basic, no hair dryer (even thought the description said they had them). I told the person at registration that I had to leave at 5:00 am and asked about checkout procedures. He said to bring the key and they’d provide the paperwork. I waited 10 min. No one came to the front desk. They had 2 buzzers- I’m not sure if they worked. The room had candy wrappers on the floor. The bathroom was in disrepair and the locked on the door were not very secure. Way overpriced for the low quality of the room.

Was advertised as being updated/remodeled- it was definitely was not. It was filthy- mold in the bathroom, tub didn’t drain, plumbing for the toilet was not done correctly (the whole thing moved when flushed) sink vanity falling apart, carpet falling apart and filthy, no coffeemaker in the room, alarm clock didn’t work, not enough towels for all the guests. The pictures on the site do not match the hotel we were at.

Telephone had no cord to plug in and fire detector was not connected -it was in a drawer. No elevator had to carry luggage p the stairs.

Front desk clerk was rude when registering. Seeing the only access to the second floor was stairs, I asked about a 1st floor room since I am physically challenged. he said I needed to request that when I made the reservation and told me I could cancel and find another place to stay. All smoking rooms were on the 1st floor, so the 2nd floor always smelled like cigarettes smoke. Only 1 light worked in the bathroom and the fan did not work. The furniture was stained and had holes from cigarette burns. The electric outlet in the bathroom would not hold a plug. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The person at check in did not know what he was doing. The room was shabby and the bathroom not too clean. The room smelled like cigarette smoke.

This property is disgusting. The smell as soon as you walk in is like walking into a wall of fecal matter and cigarettes. The room smelled HEAVILY of moth balls and something worse underneath that I can't really describe. There were cigarette burns on the comforter. The carpet had been burned with a clothes iron. The bathroom door didn't shut all the way, no matter the pressure used on it. There was no fan or window in the bathroom. And the tub drained so slowly that you are better off just taking a bath. The tv displayed an info border on it before every commercial which was weird but not that big a deal. Also the other guests were mainly people actively on drugs. Basically if you can sleep behind a dumpster instead of renting a room, do that, since it'll be cheaper and a little nicer than this place. But seriously, find somewhere else to stay if you can.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Room smelled strongly of cigarettes, a.c. did not cool the room or provide fresh air. Beds were clean and comfy. Sufficient for a 1 night stay.

Poor service and not clean place

I walked into the lobby to hear the man behind the counter shouting at a guest. Garbage left in the hallways including a mattress box. The breakfast was gross. On the day of my departure the same man behind counter pounded on my room door and told me to get out 30min before a check out time of 11:00 am. Avoid this place at all cost.

The beds were clean. The bathroom was falling apart a little bit the spout it the bath was coming off of the wall. And the shower had cracks in it. If all you need is a place to stay and clean up this is an option.

This place was awful. Wall paper falling off the wall. Our room was not cleaned or bed made up on day 2. We got our own towels. Place is in disrepair.

Pic and reviews don't do the "unsatisfaction" justice. Very old building, creaking walls, cracked floors and can feel the floor flexing under our feet. Glad it was only overnight, although I didn't sleep well due to concern over the condition of the room.

The staff are they worst I booked for 2 nights and I only stayed one night i went to ask about refund for the one night the lady at the front desk tried to cuss at and was very rude. I was so confused I just left because I don’t want to talk with a very rude person.

Stinks

Filthy and old. There were cleaning rags, an old razor in the room. The carpet was filthy, the walls were stained and broken in places and much worse the stench of some sort of perfume a cleaner trying to cover smoke and dirt. We would have slept in the car had we not needed a bathroom. Usually choice hotels are a great value, but on top of charging almost $400 because of an event in town it was just really disgusting. I almost thought of calling the department of health on them. I would have told the front desk all of this but nobody was available to greet guests in the morning or handle check out. People were just leaving their keys after knocking on the managers door several times. I will say the lady who checked us in the night prior was very pleasant

The room smelled horrible and the fixtures were falling apart in the bathroom. The smell of cigarettes was everywhere. The owner demanded a copy of my license and refused to check me without it. Would of demanded my money back but I’m sure they would of refused.

I did not like anything about this property. I paid $175 for one night due do demand, a State Fair. My reservation was changed when I arrived because the manager knew I was by myself and he could sell the double queen I reserved. I will never, ever stay in a Rodeway again and I also filed a complaint with Choice Hotels. I travel due to work, this was the worst hotel I have seen in awhile. It is even more ridiculous that I paid so much.

Flight cancelled. Few hotels available because of the state fair. Window screen falling off, the door key wouldn't work (we pushed the door open), no real lock on the door, bedding looked like it had never been washed. This was straight out of a horror movie to put it bluntly. If you want to get raped, murdered or mugged, this place is for you.

Rude clerk upon arriving. Staff arguing loudly in the lobby. The rooms were smelly and there were alarming stains on the bedspreads.

We pull up and 2 homeless people are on the lawn. They look like they are ready to OD. The windows on the whole hotel are dusty and dirty. The parking lot was full of cigarette smoke. The room was kind of clean but there was black stuff on one of the beds. The bathroom door had a whole in and wouldn’t shut. The staff didn’t inform that breakfast was no longer being served. There was a gentleman in one of the downstairs rooms standing outside in just his underwear singing. Their was another gentleman smoking pot by the front door. This was not the best stay for the money paid. The site represented the hotel to be far better then it actually was.

This hotel is long overdue for a rehab. Sure the price was the cheapest around but don't sell a room that the toilet leaks a gallon of water every time you flush it. When we reported it, we got the ole, "hotel is booked up, we will have someone look at it tomorrow." I guess they may have looked but they sure didn't fix it. Also, on Orbitz it said free breakfast. They didn't even offer a cup of coffee in the lobby. Rugs are old, people hanging out all hours of night, that sort of thing. At least the sheets and pillow cases were clean

Clean room, good rate, comfortable bed, close to thruway, good parking. That's all I need.

When we pulled in there were several police cars in the parking lot. One officer was tapping on the window of one of the rooms, the person inside was just looking at them. we felt uncomfortable. Inside the hotel the lobby smelled of cigarette smoke as did the entire 2nd floor where our room was and our "no smoking" room. The stairs were not safe for carrying up luggage and there was not elevator. The door to our room had the remnants of a lock and appeared to have been broken through at one time. we placed a chair in front of it to ensure no one came in without while we slept. we had late check in having just arrived from the west coast so we stayed that night but checked out the next morning cancelling the remainder of our reservation. Neither I nor my sister slept well that night, we did not feel safe.

There was a lot of people on drugs on property, police were called to property 3 times before we even went to sleep I’d never stay again

We didnt cause theygave are room to someone else after we had reservations for at least 2 weeks and they didnt email us until the day after we were suspose to check in i wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone

The Manager is nice and helpful. I often arrive late but he is still nice and helpful.

Curtains and bed cover were dirty and stained. The shower and toilet were horribly rusted. The towels were beige instead of white. The look of hallway up to the room was horrific; dingy, dirty, and terribly outdated.

The room was super clean. The beds, the TV set (40 inches), and the sofa were brand new. The heater was very quiet. No wonder I had a really good night sleep!
