The room was clean and everything worked. The breakfast buffet was free and it was better than expected, and the people who served it were very friendly. Parking was free. The Bad: We went to the front desk three times; check in, check out, and once for directions. There wasn't anyone at the desk any of those times. We had to wait for someone to walk by or come out of a back room and notice us. Not really an acceptable presence for a premium hotel.

We were in floor 2. Just know this unit is close to the intersection so you can hear all music and loud cars, I probably would have asked for a higher floor but we stayed only one night. They do give you ear plugs in tgr room so I guess this was the hint of things to come for the night. I used them and eventually went to sleep. I guess for young ones the music in car noise is acceptable. It’s why they are staying at the Armory area. Room- excellent and spacious. Felt like an apartment! Kitchen! Living area! Spacious 2 bedrooms.

Separate entrance. Parking was convenient

The staff was friendly. The room faced the street across from Irish Pub and customers were very loud until 3:00 am. The hotel had a sign that earbuds are placed on table for your use but they were not provided. The rooms based boards were covered with dust. The bathroom light cover needed cleaning.

Everything was great except for the noise outside. Kept me up, screaming, music and revving of cars and motorcycle.
- 5/5
It was great. My family and I had a great time and the room was great. The only thing I would change is the shower curtain. They were a bit small for the shower and the floor got extremely wet

We liked that the property was closed, there’s parking on site. They have breakfast included, coffee, all day, and it’s clean. If you face Fayette Street, you can hear some pretty drunk people coming out of the bar around 2am. Every night that the bar is open.

There is nothing to do at the Armory Square. Websites claim that there are boutiques & shops, but only some average restaurants.

Location great and rooms are just what we need! Everything was clean and nice! Love staying here Everything was great except we had to wait for an hour to check in as our rooms were not clean and available yet. It was too cold to walk around the town so we sat in the lobby. The staff were apologetic but we waited until almost 5pm for our rooms which was unusual!

The meat patties were hard . The quality of food not good. No yogurt. No coffee left

The room design and location. We had a long drive to hotel and when we got there about 3:30 our rooms were not ready and had to sit in the lobby for an hour - not sure why that happened but was frustrating and we were not the only ones this happened to. Maybe they didn’t have enough cleaning staff?!? While location great - the overnight street traffic was terrible. Not sure what they can do to help this as there are 2 bars open late across the street. Not a great nights sleep but a fun weekend in Syracuse!

Great room. Breakfast was excellent!
- 3/5
I booked a studio one king for two nights. But I was given a handicapped accessible room. It was very disappointing and nothing could be done since they were at full capacity. Someone certainly had to have reserved these rooms since all the others were already booked. I am asking for a future complimentary rebooking!!
- 5/5
Very clean rooms, friendly staff. Very close to A
- 3/5
Staff was great, room was spotless and breakfast was nice. The lack of hot water for my shower in the morning was awful.
- 4/5
Hotel and room a little outdated. Great location for downtown activities.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Staff was extraordinary
- 1/5
Rudest people ever.
- 5/5
Good service and a lot of places to eat very close
- 2/5
The only reason we stayed there and paid more per night was it had an indoor pool I even called a week before to make sure the pool was open which they said it was we got to the property went to the room change into our swimming clothes went down to the pool and it was closed for maintenance my 9 yr old was so disappointed.
- 4/5
Nice personal touch to have a ‘welcome bag’ for Syracuse new students moving in/back to school.
- 1/5
If you stay here you’ll be miserable. Zero Stars.
- 3/5
The shower room needs repair. Mold
- 5/5
Staff were friendly, room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable but could use better pillows. Walk to downtown is easy, Uber to Lakeview for a concert. Parking at hotel is not free but convenient. Coffee marker was broken in our room, but there was free coffee in the lobby. Love the full size refrigerator and dishes provided.
- 3/5
AC didn’t work well. And the TV kept turning on even after I turned it off
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Great location. Noisy at nught. You can hear people walking on the sidewalk.
- 5/5
Very friendly people.
- 2/5
Very disappointed with room facing a handful of bars across the street. Constant noise made for a difficult night's sleep. Management should have called the police to quiet down the group but clearly did not do so. I can't recommend this property especially when you can't assure a quiet atmosphere in the middle of the night.
- 3/5
The hotel staff were helpful. The property is in a great location. The room was clean but sheets were thin and rough. A high pitched building alarm rang from 2am until 8am. Overall it was an average stay.
- 3/5
As always, Marriott has very clean hotels with great staff. However, the bed was super uncomfortable. And there was an obnoxious mechanical humming in my room. I ended up leaving the tv on so I could manage a few hours sleep.
- 2/5
If we weren’t so tired we would have left. Sorry for tha sad review
- 4/5
Place was great. Fun area. Only issue is that on Saturday night it was SO LOUD on the street out our window that we couldn't sleep until the bars closed at 2:30am. Next time I will plan to be out late. Sunday night however was nice and quiet.
- 1/5
I have stayed here for years
- 5/5
All great except reception lady, who was with attitude, first time saw very unpleasant greeting, Management of hotel have to work with stuff, many hotels around.
- 5/5
As a mom to teenagers and young children space is always a must for our vacations.... The 2 room suite was spacious and affordable!! It was a home away from home!
- 5/5
I love it here!! 😍 The staff is very helpful and friendly, the room was comfy and breakfast was great. Definitely staying here again.
- 5/5
Very spacious and comfortable room, very clean, great location, great breakfast, and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience at the Residence Inn. 5 stars!
- 5/5
arriving late at night but check in was a breeze and staff were so very accommodating, even offering to help me unload the car in winter weather. a change in work schedule meant I needed to book another night and they let me stay in the same room with very helpful instructions. good continental breakfast, restful sleep, convenient parking and the room was quiet. highly recommend Residence Inn Armory Square
- 4/5
Asked during check in if I would be parking my car but wasn’t told it was $20.50 daily.
- 1/5
Bathroom handles to the shower were broken, door on the wrong side
- 5/5
Staff very friendly....goes over and beyond to make you comfortable....even if there is a problem....staff fixes it...
- 5/5
Great location, easy access to anything downtown! Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and great!
- 5/5
Excellent service. Best Hotel Experience I have ever had In Syracuse... I've stayed at a LOT of dumpy Hotels in Syracuse. This is a rare find
- 1/5
Insane parking fees, sub par customer service from staff, decent size rooms
- 2/5
Pulled out the sleeper sofa to find dog hair and crumbs all over it ….i took pictures and showed them that morning….we were already settled in so I didn’t want to get moved because it was late and had the kids ….we didn’t have trash bags at all to put trash aswell
- 5/5
Id go back
- 4/5
When we got to our room there was uncollected garage with left over dog food in two cans full and smelly. There was also no hand soap in either bathroom. We stopped by the front desk on the way to dinner to report this. When we got back the soap had been delivered but the garage was still there. Had to find a housekeeper to come and take it.
- 5/5
The check process was great the front desk staff member was professional and friendly and funny made the process a breeze. The cleanliness of the lobby and room was awesome! The location is really convenient as well can walk alot of places. Definitely will stay again
- 5/5
Was home away from home....two bedroom wonderful 😊
- 5/5
The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean. My only complaint was that the sofa bed was not very comfortable.
- 3/5
Trying to navigate to my room was challenging. I had to go through a dummy room between two hotels with no signage. The staff was quite rude when I asked for an early check in. Which was no big deal. The room itself was big but the bed was pretty uncomfortable. I would choose this hotel again for the convenience of being in the middle of Armory Square. But for the price, this room was lacking.
- 4/5
If you have to stay in downtown Syracuse, this is an excellent spot to visit. Very close to businesses, the theatre, and many restaurants and bars. The rooms facing the street will pick up some traffic noise. Rooms were clean and well appointed.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
The decor was beautiful - the breakfast had a good assortment of choices - best of all was the staff, they were very helpful, polite, and accommodating. I will recommend this location to others.
- 2/5
When we checked in we were identified as "Expedia" between staff - apparently a bad thing. TV did not work - called twice and worked for a short period later that night, then off again. Rooms are tired. Entrance is sketchy - too bad this property went down hill. Parked in back, saw a rat with a bagel in his mouth. Have stayed there many times, will not return.
- 4/5
Great location next to Armory Square. Unfortunately almost nothing was open on Sunday. Bar crowds noisy until 2 am
- 5/5
Next a lot of restaurants and downtown Easy access
- 5/5
Great stay
- 2/5
AC broke on 7/6/24 and the room got up to 85 degrees. The hotel did not provide a discount due to being booked on Expedia.
- 5/5
Fast and easy check in. Great location.
- 3/5
It looked like at the beginning it was going to be a great stay I went to the bathroom I sat on the commode it smelled like urine in there the room appeared tidy we sat down to watch TV the television did not work we called and they sent someone up to fix a TV they said the TVs had not been working okay we left came back the TV was not working again we said someone will be there in 45 minutes no one came we called back they said we want to switch rooms this was at 11:45 at night we said no I went down to talk to the manager next morning and the manager said because I looked through Expedia he could not service me in any type of way I said Thank you and I left
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
Easy to check, very friendly staff and great location.
- 5/5
Booked a one-night stay for an impromptu family trip. The room was the perfect size and the kitchenette was a great feature. Looking forward to staying again when we are in the area!
- 4/5
Confusing having 2 Mariotts so close together
- 3/5
Pool was cold. Had to pay extra for parking after an already significant amount for the room.
- 5/5
Clean Hotel and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Easy to find and walking distance to many activities
- 5/5
Very friendly front desk staff, yummy breakfast, easy parking on site, recently renovated spaces!
- 5/5
Very walkable to restaurants, shops, etc. Free covered parking was a big plus on a wintery day.
- 5/5
I loved this property. The beds were like clouds and my kids had a ball in the pool. The staff was awesome and I'm definitely going to book my future stays here.
- 3/5
We were on the second floor by an exit door. We heard doors closing loudly all hours of the night. Our room was dusty and had some visible dirty surfaces(microwave, refrigerator, cooking utensils, garbages), broken door stop, and hair on extra blanket. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is a nice feature. The mini store is a nice feature but needed more snacks.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Having the kitchen is a huge plus. Lots of room. Tv enables one to sign into Netflix. A must have nowadays. Great breakfast too!
- 2/5
The folks at the desk were very nice. The hotel is getting renovated , which wasn’t disclosed - but hey , it happens. The room ain’t at all what I expected, is clearly run down, and there’s actually whatbseems to be chewing gum stretched out all over the wall in the sitting area of my room today nothing of the obvious other stains and handprints. I hope the renovation includes removing gum from the walls.
- 2/5
Very large Piss stain on the pull out bed and the furniture was ripped. Overall did not feel clean at all so we left after a few minutes unfortunately. I love staying at nice hotels and this hotel looked wonderful online and had great reviews but I am deeply disappointed with this what turned out to be a 3 minute stay as we checked out.
- 5/5
Great hotel, super nice staff.
- 1/5
Construction noise started at 7am and was very disturbed ing trying to work in room.
- 3/5
I expect a much cleaner room for $300 plus. Place should be immaculate for that price. Rooms are quite large though. Also a lot of kids running around the lobby. Staff are very nice. Chain also seems to encourage tipping the cleaning staff so they seem to think the wages of their employees are my problem.
- 3/5
We were kept awake through the night from noise across the street from the local bars and some police disturbance. Our room was overall quite clean except for a splatter of something on one of the walls. Breakfast was lacking with stale bagels, and coffee, with many items un-replenished. Disappointing overall.
- 5/5
Complimentary breakfast was very good, and no problems were encountered with the room.
- 4/5
Good and clean room. Convenient to the Dome.
- 5/5
I've stayed here twice, once in 2020 for a family wedding and in 2023 for the Syracuse Irish Festival. Both stays were excellent. Hotel is clean, staff is pleasant and efficient, rooms are nice - the room I had on my past trip was nicer than my apartment was in grad school. Convenient location in downtown Syracuse with parking on site and across the street from Kitty Hoynes one of the best Irish pubs in the Northeast US and nearby many other restaurants. My go to place to stay when I am in Syracuse.
- 3/5
My husband found a bottle of Jim Beam in the nightstand drawer. We waiting an hour and a half to check into our room so maybe they are short staffed and cleaning was rushed.
- 3/5
The unit was very old and need maintenance
- 4/5
check-in was quick and parking was easy. staff was SO friendly at check-in and at breakfast! king studio room was so spacious and the A/C worked well and kept the room very cool! room was clean and well stocked with towels. breakfast had so many options, we were very impressed and the lounge area was bright and sunny to enjoy our meals. perfectly located around endless restaurants to try and late night bar options to grab a cocktail and listen to live music! two things to comment on - our alarm clock went off at 6AM and we were woken up very startled by this - if housekeeping could reset alarm clocks between guests that may solve that problem! secondly, we didn’t think to bring room towels to the pool and thought they may be stocked there, but there was none, just a full towel disposal - might be our mistake and pool towels aren’t provided though or they were just not replenished (we visited the pool around 8pm so kind of late)! overall really enjoyed our stay!!
- 3/5
A bit run down
- 4/5
Staff was great. Room was comfortable.
- 3/5
The hotel was lovely and our room very nice. However the noise was terrible on the street. There were people yelling outside the bars and every 15 minutes it's seems there were really loud souped up cars with their music as loud as possible. It was impossible to sleep until about 3 am.
- 5/5
Great Service from Ben
- 4/5
Rooms are nice and spacious. Found a long brown hair on my pillow, carpets throughout are worn and need some T LC and breakfast was not good-coffee weak and ran out, eggs not hot, oatmeal too watery. I had 1/2 a bagel and left. I feel parking should be included in room price but great location to things
- 5/5
The property is very clean and modern! Room is as much larger than we thought and the kitchen was a nice feature for our family!
- 5/5
It was clean and comfortable and the rooms were large.
- 1/5
Multiple issues
- 5/5
Close the jma dome
- 3/5
Our couch in our room was pretty gross. Also, house keeping woke me up at 9 and check out isn’t til 11.
- 5/5
Very clean awesome breakfast!!
- 3/5
Parking was extra, even though the parking spaces were maxed out, even the overflow parking on the second floor. Will not go back.
- 3/5
Good size room, updated hotel, good service. Breakfast was underwhelming. We were woken up for both nights of our stay by outside sustained noises and people being rowdy around 2am-3am - seems like the police could have been called to address since it lasted for a good while. Would have given a 4 star rating otherwise for the whole experience.
- 3/5
Free breakfast was prepackaged garbage.
- 4/5
The hallways really smelled bad. They don’t have a restaurant so I wasn’t sure where it was coming from. It was very loud at night.
- 3/5
The room was not cleaned properly as I found items from previous guest left in the drawers, the couch cushions were poorly placed and I spotted many stains on the couch.
- 5/5
One of the male front desk clerks was not very friendly. Otherwise all was great.
- 4/5
Service was terrific.
- 5/5
Perfect downtown location. Plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance.
- 2/5
Beware of $100 pet fee - this is excessive
- 4/5
Helpful staff. Very limited parking which for you pay $14 btw. The Lot filled by 4:30 and staff moved their own cars to give us a space but unfortunately this process of them juggling cars took approximately 30 minutes and did cause a delay in our evening plans. Noisy room due to street noise.
- 5/5
Hotel was beautiful, close to theater and restaurants. Very friendly staff
- 4/5
V good place to stay
- 4/5
Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with wife and daughter. Overall, the stay was good. Suite was roomy and for the most part comfortable. Furniture in the "living room" of the suite was dated and not particularly comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was somewhat lacking compared to the last time we stayed here 3 years ago. Found it interesting that I was told parking is $10/day, but when I received my bill it showed that for 2 days it was $10 and the remaining 4 days it was $14.
- 5/5
Great stay! Friendly and helpful staff! Clean and comfortable. Would most definitely stay again.
- 5/5
This hotel was a joy from the minute we walked in. The person at the front desk was very kind and the parking is attached, $10 per night. The king bed room was beautiful, a great spacious kitchen and couch that pulled out into bed, as well as a smart TV that could rotate! Pool was clean, bathroom situation was great, bed was comfortable. Can’t wait to return!!!
- 5/5
it was nice...room was awesome.
- 4/5
These residence suites provide everything. Dishwasher, pots, cutlery you name it they have it. Very comfortable luggage unloading area and adjacent covered lot. Good wireless. Nice bathroom area. Comfortable L shaped sofa. Desk, dinette ... Breakfeast is common help yourself buffet. Only thing that was missing was honey.
- 5/5
We were able to check in early! The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
This hotel is located right near all the best bars in Syracuse if you’re looking for a great night out or even for the weekend stay here it’s about five minutes from destiny mall
- 5/5
The location the rooms are always clean and it is people friendly.
