It was a nice looking building and looked well kept, but when I got to my room, it reeked of mildew although none was visible. It was pretty overpowering. The bed was comfortable, with a nice selection of pillows, and the A/C and shower worked well. The lady at the counter when I checked in was not very helpful. When I walked up, she was typing something into the computer from a sticky note. She asked me to hold on for a minute, which was fine, but then she continued to type for another 5 minutes. Later, when I came back to make a purchase from the little snack store, same thing. I’m a pretty patient person, but I felt this was an unreasonable wait, especially twice in a row. The airport shuttle service was great and is apparently available 24/7.

We only stayed here for the pool. 2 adults and 1 child. It was almost impossible to find the entrance since it didn't have a sign at the street and it was down a crumbling alley that led to the hotel next door. The first room they put us in was main floor, the first room in the right hand hallway. It was directly next to the maintenance room, which had its door propped open and was dirty and noisy. There were staff all over that hallway yelling and hanging out. This was directly outside our room. I had requested a quiet room on the online booking so I was not happy. I immediately went to the front desk and requested a different room. I honestly don't know what they were thinking assigning that room. Hotel seemed pretty empty and was fairly quiet after we moved away from the main area. Breakfast was really good. The hot food was constantly replenished and they had great hot and cold options. I wouldn't recommend staying here for any other reason than needing to be close to the airport.

The hotel was amazing. It was clean and the pool was wonderful. They were helpful when we had a clogged shower drain and fixed it right away. Their breakfast bar was delicious. It seemed to have something for everyone (including hard boiled eggs for me because I’m picky about my scrambled eggs). The room was very clean and the temperature was easily controlled. My family will stay there again if we travel back to the area.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. And the shuttle to and from the airport was amazing and on time.

A solid performance for this hotel during our stay (2 nights), in line with what you would expect from a Holiday Inn express. Very clean, comfortable beds and room overall. Breakfast is fine, with varied options. Pool area was clean too. Staff is nice and helpful. We do hear the airplanes a bit, which is not surprising given the location but may bother some very light sleeper. Overall, I would recommend.

Pictures may have been accurate 10 years ago. Not a very pleasant experience. If you’re sensitive to smells…not the place for you. You could hear people above you…not very restful.

The bathroom/shower was not the cleanest, but our real concern was the pool. We picked this hotel with only wanting one thing of our stay prior to my child’s procedure: to swim. Before scheduling the stay, the website for THIS SPECIFIC address and a Google search, it was confirmed the pool would be open until 10. We arrived at the hotel late evening and by the time we got down to the pool it was about 9:06. Pool door was locked. I asked the woman at the front desk, her answer was “if the key card lets you in, go ahead”. Of course, it did not. My 3 year old just completely devastated. She watched my child go up to the room sobbing while I explain our stay and show proof in two locations the time and why we chose THIS location for our plan to swim. She called the manager and just said Google had the wrong time before ending the call. Something about the health department saying 9:00?? I ask if she would reconsider being that we were provided the wrong information or if I could talk to the manager myself. She stalled by trying to look it up on her phone then her computer when she was already shown multiple times on my phone the website itself, then rudely took another phone call without saying another word to me until I gave up and left. The reason for our stay was ruined by misleading information and no one willing to work with it when shown respectfully.

This was not our first stay here. In the past the hotel offered a shuttle within a 5 ?mile Hotel, When I arrived , nobody was at the front desk. I waited for 5/6 minutes. AC was not working very well. Mattress was in poor shape

The stay was overall okay. The problem started with the overabundance of kids roaming the hallways and creating absolutely horrible disturbance. Staff seemed to no inforce anything and remained at the front desk watching their phone. The final morning, breakfast was unavailable an hour after breakfast as they had "staffing issues". When you plan an entire day or stay around the breakfast and it's time because of the plans or reason for the stay, and you're on a schedule, it throws the whole day off. My husband was down later in the morning when breakfast was finally open and was very upset at the staff, complaining about their workplace themselves and venting to other guests at the overwhelming amount of kids staying at the hotel. There's a time and place, and that's nether the proper time or place to vent, especially as an employee. My wife called to submit a formal complaint and was told they would follow-up with a resolution. It has been a few days and as expected, we received no follow-up call from management. I will not be staying at this location again and will consider to staying at a different more reputable hotel establishment from here on out.

Room was very nice and great extra features. The only issue was a lot of noise traveled in from the gaps in the door and the voices from the next room were plainly heard while I was trying to go to sleep. Staff was excellent, room very clean.

The outside lights blinded us all night... turn them off!!! Didnt sleep for crap. Will never stay there again.

Clean room, timely arrival of shuttle.

The driveway entrance and the parking lot were completely unacceptable. It had been a couple of days since any real / major snow fall and the majority of the parking spaces had inches of snow. No attempt seemed to be being made to solve the issue. Snow piles were taking up probably 6-8 spots and there was 6-8" of snow to walk through to get over the curb and on the sidewalks.

Due to the flight delay, wasn’t able to get to the hotel until after midnight around 3 am, my whole family was exhausted with my 3 young children. The hotel only one reception lady was very mean and not friendly, or trying to help, she said she just started doing computer audit so can not check in until 45 mins later. She refused to help check in, yet didn’t let us call the hotel boss owner to report the situation, she said she would not share boss’s number. Also, we offered to pay cash and maybe can do paper work first, computer check in later, but everything got refused by her. She was very unfriendly and said we must sit there and wait, also could not cancel and refund the night she said, so my husband and I both were very upset and pissed and so did not even check in and we left. We would like to have a dispute and full refund for the night.

Staff was great, got in late and was fantastic to have the free shuttle. Didn't get the gentalmens name working multiple jobs Thanksgiving morning but he was super helpful.

Room is kind of run down. The tv doesn’t work. The pool was so cold my son’s hands turned blue and stayed that way even after a hot shower. He was only in the pool maybe 8-10 minutes. There were no towels in the pool area and I had to have my kids wait in the hall while I went to get towels for them. When I got back, their teeth were chattering so badly. Breakfast was good and the woman running it was lovely.

Breakfast was unexpected, as our flight was delayed we were able to enjoy it. Couldn’t ask for anything more at a reasonable price.

I stayed at the hotel for three nights and I did not spend much time there. The sheets were soft and the recent renovation made the rooms very nice and my bathroom was very clean but everything else about the hotel made it feel shabby. Also, the walls are very thin. If your neighbour had the TV on, you could hear what they were playing. The lobby smelt like moldy water, the women receptionists treated me better than the men, the elevator was in a very poor condition- the paint job is terrible and it’s an old elevator so it’s finicky. Breakfast was very limited, they only had three hot options (usually pork sausage, scrambled/omelette eggs, seasoned potatoes), oatmeal, pastries and a very bad pancake maker. The juice machine only dispensed orange juice as well. There are good and bad characteristics to this hotel. If you are looking for a place only to sleep, this is the one for you. Also it’s hard to navigate where to turn into the parking lot, especially at night, because of a tiny Holiday Inn sign that’s outshined by the Candlewood Suites sign.

However, the situation in which we found ourselves was inexcusable.  This was compounded by the shoddiness of your property.  At most, this hotel merits a "poor" rating.  The hotel is in a state of disrepair, is dirty, and is generally rundown.  Your greatest assets are your personnel.  Otherwise, the hotel does not warrant any clientele.  This will be reviewed in Expedia.

It was close by the airport with nearby dining and gas stations. The staff was very helpful.

The stay was nice. The check in process was fast and easy. I was disappointed that our tv was not working ion our room. I called the front desk to see if it could be fixed and the front desk person said, Oh does the tv say "no signal"? I said, yes and she told me that the guy that can fix that is not here on the weekends. She offered to move me to a different room and I declined. Really annoying and she knew what the problem was. Get someone in to fix the tv.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable. Our only complaint is that the woman serving breakfast was touching the food with her bare hands from one pan to another. She used no gloves and we witnessed this with the eggs, the potatoes and sausage. Therefore, we chose to not have breakfast, which would have been nice as it was included in our stay.

The property was very clean & fresh. Some places appear to be clean but the air quality isn’t as great.

I had minimal expectations, but damn. The first room had an ac with a broken compressor and ants. The lovely girl at the desk immediately switched our room. The TV had no internet so no streaming services or cable that was impossible to navigate. The free breakfast was insane. Eggs that were so overcooked they were brown and BOTH the pancake maker and toaster were broken. For what I paid this was an insane experience.

Front desk was super nice. I requested a new room when I couldn’t get the door bolt to lock and the sink drain was stuck. He readily agreed. Then we discovered there were no more Keurig cups for the in room coffee pot. In other words, staff had a friendly and helpful, but management needs to be more on top of building and guest needs. Shuttle to airport is excellent.

Everything was fantastic only thing that needs to change are the beds they are way to hard and uncomfortable.

There is no sun loung or spa that it claims online the pool is hot and dirty and I would have went else where for this amount of money if I new they have nothing they claim they do online

The hotel’s connection to the airport was our primary motivation for staying there. Have your contact information for the airport shuttle available in advance.

It was very noisey with some of the guest on 2nd floor above me. Made getting up early very difficult for morning flight.

The hotel was having a new roof put on and it looks like they have been investing money into the hotel. I stayed for two nights and would recommend it to others. The breakfast was a nice way to get the day started.

Front desk person was very pleasant and helpful with checking in and setting up a shuttle to the airport for the next day.

Property was beautiful staff was so nice and breakfast was absolutely awesome so many choices .

I checked in late at night, only to be awoken before 8 am by loud noises. I looked out my window and realized that my room was directly under demolition. When I went outside to look, I saw that the demolition was only in that corner of the hotel and I should have been placed in any other part of the hotel. Front desk and another office staff member couldn't have been less concerned. I have written to the manager and hope to hear back. Pretty sure what they did was illegal.

Ease of use

The reservation I made was not used because the driver of the 94-year old customer took him to the Cicero Holiday Inn which they were told was closest to the airport and had no reservation for him. Thankfully there was a vacancy. I am not happy about the fact that your system could not have discovered that he indeed had a reservation but was dropped off at the wrong hotel.

Worse check in experience I have experienced. Waited over an hour as a crowd of people grew in the lobby. My room was not available to check in and I couldn't wait more than 2 hours.

A few friends and I stayed at your hotel after attending a concert. The check in was easy for us. The stay was as expected.

After travelling all day it was nice to arrive at a clean hotel, the girl at reception was very nice, what a pleasure. The room was spacious and we had a good size bathroom, lots of room to put our toiletries and the shower was a great size too. All in all a great stay!

The TV is useless, can’t connect to YouTube or Netflix and there are no channels in there. When called the staff to let them know we were coming in later, they disregarded the reason for our call and were very pushy trying to sell us some credit card.

Everyone was very helpful and it’s so convenient for an early flight. I will stay again.

The only thing we didn't like was there wasn't enough parking for hotel guests to park well they stay their whole time at the hotel.. Compared to other guests that stay before their flights and then leave their cars there until they return..

Super convenient for early morning airport departures. The pool is warm and in doors for winter swimming. Nice to know you could leave your car parked here and shuttle to the airport so long as you don't have an early morning flight.

Great safe place to stay on short notice.

Unfortunately, the issue is the walls are thin in the rooms and my wife was told that going up to the third floor would be quieter and it was not… She did not get much sleep because of noise outside of the room. This is not the management issue… It’s the builders issue with creating a structure that does not allow a person to rest properly.

I booked a night in this hotel the first time because it was close to the airport, but I chose to book another night in this hotel at the end of my stay in Ithaca because the staff was so wonderful.

First room had a non functioning lock. Reported it on my way out. When I returned they had re rented my room but didn’t turn off my key so I waled right into an occupied room (non functioning lock). Person said my bags were in the lobby. Front desk said they had no bags. 45 minutes later they found my bags in a some random room. No notes left for the next shift. No notification or permission from me. Completely unacceptable. How do you let a complete stranger walk into an occupied room?
