The best and kindest staff! Made our stay spectacular!!!

Very nice front desk staff, very helpful. Rooms were spacious and uncomfortable, and it is a very convenient location for the Landmark theater.

The hotel is old, and need renovation.

Parking was very limited. Saw 2 additional charges made and I know the room was in same condition as we received it. $250 room turned into over $350 room.

It’s a bit dated and the amenities and breakfast are sub-par. We were excessively overcharged due to graduation (even though booked a year before.) Outrageous for what we got.

It was a decent hotel! Move and close to town and clean and lots of room - the room we got had a little living room - very nice You can’t buy beer/wine- and the liquor store is not a short walk. would be a good add.

The staff who checked us in were super friendly and helpful. However the staff who checked us out didnt even speak so it made the check out very awkward

Stayed here for 1 night, it was a good experience. The only issue was the parking, there were not a lot of parking in the hotels parking area

It was a little tired and could have done with some updating. This is just a minor issue though.

Stephanie at the reception desk was friendly and extremely helpful.

I didn’t like the limited onsite parking. The first night that I had to use street parking my vehicle was side swiped and the driver side mirror was broken.

Lobby was nice and staff was very communicative and kind Our bathroom mirror was dirty and there wasn’t much lighting throughout the room, parking situation was very slim and somewhat expensive for the price we had already paid for the room.

Everything was good overall.

I came to Syracuse for two nights to visit friends, and this was the perfect place to stay. The location was amazing for solo travel, as I could walk to dinner in Armory Square and everywhere else I needed to be was just a short drive away. I was able to get parking in the little lot the first night, and the second night when it was full I had no trouble finding a spot on the street outside. My little room was so cozy and adorable, and I felt very safe. Noise was minimal and staff was friendly. I will definitely be booking here again!

Everything was great, location was perfect. Staff amazing. Friendly , smiles. Accommodating. The only reason I did not give all star rating was they did not have plugs easily accessible. They also did not have lamps with charging ports for the phones.

It was fine. The bathroom had seen better days it looked a bit battered. More important it could use a deep cleaning, lots of dust and dirt when I pulled the pocket door of the bathroom closed as well as on the vents and fixtures.

The hotel is

Cons: The hotel could really use an upgrade. While the overall look and layout of the hotel is nice, when you take a closer look you really start to notice how shoddy the various repairs are which kinda detracted from the overall experience.

Front desk person was rude at check in. Hotel parking lot was totally full.

Kiki checked me in and was very sweet. When I walked in my room, temp was set to 52! The bathroom door couldn’t open up all the way because it hit the sink. Weird! And there were no plugs anywhere! I couldn’t plug in my phone to charge - only in the bathroom.

Great breakfast options, kitchenette was useful to have in room, as well as multiple USB-A chargers.

Busy location

Front Desk was great It was in the heart of Syracuse, so walking distances to many amenities and restaurants. 10 min drive to the airport or the Mall. And the parking lot has one EV charging station I think it's a great choice for a short a short stay MG

Room was dark but had what I needed so served the purpose for the night. Great location in city center so gets a higher rating but it is tired and needs a facelift.

Perfect location

The location was perfect and front desk staff was help and nice. The fan didn't work in the room and it was so hot, I couldn't sleep. There was no light switch's and there was a random fingernail in our room, not ours.

This is an older building not very modern but the beds were super comfy and great for a short stay over. Staff were super nice.

Room was nice and staff was nice . The bed was uncomfortable and you shouldn’t have to pay for parking if you are a guest staying at the hotel , this is the first best western I’ve stayed at where I’ve had to pay additional charge for parking .

The water was a problem but that's about it

The room seemed clean enough. Parking is atrocious. It’s expensive, there’s barely any at all. And there’s one alternative parking that’s just as bad. Shower never got hot. Front desk was not helpful for any of it.

It was close to the Oncenter Very little parking. Front desk staff was rude.

Staff very courteous. They kept the breakfast area, very clean even when it was busy. Gym was a real plus.

Convenient location There were fights all night long in the hallway. When we called the front desk several times, got no response. Had to call the police. Policemen have said drug users rent rooms there, causes all kinds of problems. Don’t stay here.

Great front desk lady!

I greatly enjoyed the location and value of this hotel. It’s in the Armory Square downtown, close to many restaurants, bars and boutique stores (vintage video games, record store). I’ve heard parking can be a challenge. For me, it was a nice local stay where I could check out some stores, restaurants and the Landmark Theater- MJ Musocal.

I was very happy with the room, the staff, and the breakfast, especially the gluten free options. My main suggestion is that the hotel get better coffee in the breakfast room. It was weak, but I appreciate its availability 24/7.

Great place to stay

Great location.

The history and renovations of the building were impressive! The location was also great! Walked to a local restaurant (The Hops Spot) that did not disappoint. Close enough that we walked even though it was in true Syarcuse form it was snowy and blowy out! Unfortunately our stay was for medical purposes. We left the hotel at 6:30 am the following morning for a 7 am appointment at a local hospital. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back!!

Staff was very accommodating! Called with passport issues and they switched the name of our reservation so that the rest of the group could still attend the event and use the room that was booked.

You can't beat the Best Westerns location. It's within walking distance of so many great restaurants and the hotel has its own parking lot. It's a short drive to Syracuse University. We had a corner room, which was huge with lots of windows, a separate living room and a kitchenette.

The front desk was quite helpful and gave us tips on where to park . She also was so helpful on taking our picture when we were on our way to a wedding.

Very friendly staff, clean room, nice space. A little noisy from the road at night, but that’s to be expected in the city.

The location for seeing events at the Landmark Theater is perfect. Slowest elevator in the world. Parking is not clearly marked as to where to park. Front entrance is very difficult to find. There was a lot problems with lights in the room. could not turn off the dining area over head without turning off the kitch area lights. Biggest problem was the breakfast. They ran out of everything including the pancake batter in a jug with 45 minutes left. Front desk no help, and couldn't find the attendant. My big breakfast was two hardboiled eggs.

The hotel had a quick easy check in. It was walkable to many places and the neighborhood felt safe for where it was.

The front desk staff were incredible. They went out of their way in every area, from parking to restaurant suggestions and things to do!

Close to downtown - nice big rooms

The rooms are dated and have holes in the walls, patched with plastic covers - which fall off. The shower was nice but the room needs work.

You could use more than one towel bar in the bathroom.

The room smells horrible it looks like mold growing even it exacerbates my sinusitis issues, parking lot very small, homeless people roaming around the corner I was I afraid my car would be broken. Please don’t go the just pay little extra money and go better hotel. The picture of the building fool me to book it the room are very small, bathroom and shower 1sq feet.

Only one very slow elevator for 11 floors!

The coffee needs to be better in the breakfast area. Having machine coffee is not good, considering the options available for coffee now.

The location is very central and beautiful. Above all, the staff was excellent and made us feel like family.

Clean room

We were in Syracuse for an event and the Best Western was a great location. There are several great restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and beds very comfortable. I would definitely come back to stay there again.

This was major impact in the height back to school and the fair.

Couch boogers, no water pressure, had to fill toilet tank with garbage can. No omelettes left at breakfast. Strange object in coffee. Unhoused individual shouting at me by the front door. Front desk was informed of toilet but no action.

Bathroom door hit the sink in the bathroom. You couldn’t stand at the sink without the door. Very concerned about the area around the facility. Arrived in a woman was driving got out of her car in front of the hotel and started yelling at people that were on the area.

This was my second time staying at the Best Western and it's great! The staff are super friendly and helpful and the location is awesome, especially if you're in town for a concert. Will absolutely stay again!

Charged for parking at a hotel $15 a night, we were compensated for the parking after the issues we had. Bed was like sleeping on the ground. Nice location, and nice looking hotel, but will not stay again:

The room was quiet, but there was a steady, low tone, electric motor noise behind the wall in the bathroom.

Great place, but could use some updating on the property, ,maybe so e freah paint on slider doors of bathrooms, small things that could make a big difference to people, i always look at the details. Samll things make a huge impact.

This was a very nice property for the price point. Our room was spacious with a kitchenette. We were moving our daughter and staff helped us find parking four u-haul. Hannah offered wonderful service and recommendations on multiple occasions. I can’t say enough about the friendliness of the staff! The only drawback we encountered was on Friday and Saturday night it was loud due to illegal street racing. The police tried to monitor but once they left - drivers were back at it until early hours of the morning. Bring earplugs if you are staying those nights! Our last night (Sunday) was quiet. I’d stay again!

Had a great experience overall. A few things could definitely use some attention, but not enough to ruin our weekend or not stay there again! Great location, outstanding customer, will stay there again.

The TV and phone did not work in my original room. They upgraded me to a much bigger and nicer room. Service was a little slow. I had to wait for someone to come to the desk when I was checking out which was annoying because I was in a hurry.

Staff super friendly and happy to assist-best part of hotel! It is a historic hotel so some issues have to be overlooked, but it is a non-smoking hotel and my room smelled of old smoke. I wish they did breakfast on weekends at 7 so people who were attending graduations could grab something before leaving...

This is my second time visiting this hotel and it has been a consistently amazing experience. From the front desk staff to the cleanliness of the room you would think you are staying in a 5 star hotel. This hotel has old time charm in a modern style. The room is very spacious and the view is fantastic. It’s centrally located to some great restaurants. I’m staying here moving forward anytime I have to come to Syracuse University to visit my child.

Great experience

Our AC did not work in our room. I called the front desk and the night “manager” came to replace the batteries in the thermostat which didn’t work either. I asked if she please had a fan since our room was very hot and no air cycling at all. Then we asked for a different room, apparently there were none available. The day manager came in, in the morning, I let her know what happened and she did take some money off our bill. The day manager, Stephanie was very nice.

Shower didn’t drain. Bathroom door didn’t open all the way past the sink. No bottled water in room. Only powdered creamer in the room with Keurig. Overall a less than average, outdated hotel.

The Best Western staff has always been very wonderful, I’m a repeat guest here. Holly at the front desk this visit was especially great, thank you, Holly, for the hospitality! The hotel is near a lot of great restaurants, a solid record store, and is a short walk to Everson Museum of Art, and Landmark Theatre.

Do not stay here!!! Room was absolutely disgusting!! The floors from the elevator into the room couldn’t get dirtier. The room conditions were even worse. Stains all over the bed, there wasn’t even pillow cases on the pillows which were also stained! The door wouldn’t even shut. Was only in the room 30 seconds, left got a refund and went to a different hotel.

The hotel was very clean as the staff very helpful. Mimi answered all my questions and was very polite I appreciated that!

I loved the shower! Amazing after running the half-marathon. I loved the option for late checkout. That will convince me to choose this hotel again.

On a good note, the water pressure was amazing, the towels were soft, and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash was terrific as well.

Good property just needs some updating

this is an old property so I expect not the beat decor - even the bathroom door doesnt open past the sink lol - but it was conveniently located to what we were doing - friendly staff - Hotel lobby was like a sauna - i felt bad for the desk staff who couldnt eacape it neing so hot -

There was a fair variety of items, but it was all pretty unappetizing. Too bad, the place was great otherwise. I'd recommend staying here and walking to a coffee shop. The room was cheap enough to write off the breakfast without feeling bad.

Weekend get away with my husband. Location was great, close to many things, walkable. Parking onsite if you are lucky, if not it’s down the street a bit. Check in staff was great. One complaint is there is only 1 elevator. Our king room had a separate bedroom with TV. Sitting room with couch, kitchenette,microwave,fridge,sink,dishes, and a small fireplace on the 11th floor. Could have used a boot mat for our snowy wet boots to sit on rather than the floor. The room was very clean. Would recommend.
