It was a great location. Well kept property. And bonus with the breakfast in the morning

Nothing The room was very dirty. We had to call the front desk twice to have the bed sheets changed because they were not clean. The bathroom door would not close properly and had a huge gap, which provided no privacy at all. The biggest issue was the kitchen. Before booking, we specifically asked multiple times whether the room had a fully functional kitchen because I needed to cook for my child. When we arrived, we found that there was no real kitchen—only a refrigerator and a dishwasher. After we complained, they brought us a small portable hot plate that barely worked. I couldn’t even boil water on it. The beach is located across a busy road from the hotel, and the beach itself was dirty and had an unpleasant smell. To make matters worse, we were charged more than the amount shown on our booking confirmation. We had to call and argue about the extra charges. Check your credit card statements carefully and keep all your receipts. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we would never stay here again.

We always like to stay in the hotel. Al the staff members are pleasant, the pool is clean, the rooms are well-designed, and the kitchen is convenient. It is literally across the steet from the beach.

Very nice hotel and the front desk staff even allowed me to check in much earlier than my scheduled check in time since there was a room already available for me. That was extremely helpful for my family. Much appreciated and I will love to book with them again.

I will stay here again for sure! Just a suggestion would be to keep the breakfast longer! They close at 9 30 am and is early specially when people is on vacation! Aside from that I liked the hotel.

During our stay, we had a sofa bed with a completely sunken mattress, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. We had to place the couch cushions underneath just to get a decent night’s rest — an unacceptable situation for any hotel. On the first day, we requested the sofa bed to be set up, which was done, however staff left the room door wide open, exposing our belongings and leaving us vulnerable to other guests. When we raised this concern with the front desk, the receptionist failed to grasp the seriousness of the security breach, showing a complete lack of awareness regarding basic guest safety protocols. Additionally, the breakfast offering was extremely limited, falling far short of what is expected at a property of this category.

The photos showing water slides and children’s facilities do not belong to this hotel. There is not a single slide on-site, nor is there any meaningful infrastructure for children. For a property marketed toward families, this is a serious misrepresentation. The overall environment was also unpleasant. A strong smell of bleach permeates the entire hotel, to the point where it becomes nauseating after prolonged exposure. Breakfast offerings were another major disappointment. Practically nothing was suitable for children aside from waffles—and even those were unavailable on our last day due to spoilage. The lack of basic, child-friendly options reflects poorly on the hotel’s standards. In summary, the images of slides and playground facilities appear to be taken from a different hotel entirely, which constitutes a clear case of false advertising. Some team were rude, we spent 380 for a 1 night stay Sunday & they seemed rude the lady who we talked to us at 6 am when we arrived after a 9 hour drive. She asked us if we wanted UPGRADE for $150 to check us in earlier! LOL What? Bad impression. Also parking for hotel guest increased Dramatically from 20-30 for over night guests to a solid $40. What? Crazy. & bad customer service. Sorry this is not 5 star hotel. I had great parking experiences at this hotel last summer so I wanted to stay with as a trial run before doing a longer stay. Unfortunately they did not live up to my positive memories. The late night early morning guy on shift was very nice, he was the only person trying to be nice. & he was the only positive of the stay.

The breakfast was good, the bacon was delicious and the waffle makers were great. Cycles being included was fabulous along with the beach chairs. Great location as only minuets walk to the beach and local places to eat and shops. Staff all very polite and helpful. Car parking charges at the hotel and lack of free umbrella shades around the pool area. Only one lift in service.

The hotel was depressing. Clean enough but absent decor. Breakfast was nonexistent. Staff was not responsive. And as far as I could tell, you couldn't access the beach.

It is always great to stay here. It is nice, clean and close to everything in Surfside. Staff was friendly, breakfast and coffee are perfect. Also, having the full fridge/freezer and kitchen area in the room is great!

We are Marriott Bonvoy members and we do stay at many Marriott hotels. We like Residence Inns for their larger rooms and kitchens. However, at Miami Surfside, simple requests for items that the cleaning staff consistently forgot to refresh typically required multiple requests to the front desk to remedy the situation. It was rather disappointing and will be remembered.

The room smelled like sewage. I was there 2 nights and the first day was okay and second day was terrible. I went and told the receptionist as this started late at night and they told me the hotel was fully booked they couldnt change my room but would let the manager know. The next day when I checked out they said they couldn't do anything. The bathroom wasn't clean (multiple hair in the shower and the shower and traces of dirt), there was no water bottles included in the room, no hand soap I had to use the shower soap to wash my hands each time, there were stains on some furniture, breakfast is extremely extremely basic, coffee is supposed to stop at 11 but at 10:50 I went for coffee and was told it was done for the day. Not happy about this hotel and I do not recommend if you want something comfortable.

They offered us early check-in and late check out which was great as our incoming flight was early morning and outgoing late afternoon. They had free bike rental, towel and chairs and close beach access I paid for a partial ocean view but it was completely obstructed by a palm tree There is nothing to do in the area besides go to the beach

Stay was pretty good but being on the 3rd floor this time (by the pool deck), several children kept running up and down the halls and screaming while playing which was disruptive and woke me up early morning. Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay and the bartender, Hector, provided exceptional service.

The air conditioner in our room was not working. We informed employee upfront and they stated they need to get the engeneer to fix it at 3am. Staff at check in and check out was rude. And has no customer service skill at all. I would t go back there and I wouldn’t recommended I came to rest and I couldn’t sleep because of how hot it was and they didn’t even offer to change the room.

Location, the room was very comfy with the Kitchenette ( you have to ask for pots and pans). Cleaning was good. Bikes available. Good ( basic) breakfast. To pay for parking ( I looked for Parking included in booking), bikes provided a little old, does not have cooking utensils like cooking spoons. They provided chairs and towels for the Beach but not an umbrella. 30 usd charged dayli to use in chairs, towels, drinks and food ( even if you don’t use it)

The hotel is good. Very clean, friendly stuff, comfortable room. We arrived early in the morning, stuff offered to have a breakfast for free while the room is being cleaned which is nice. Location is good for families, quite and peaceful, 3 mins walking to the beach I was told 300$ deposit should be back within 4 working days, however 8 working days are over and still no return. Daily 30$-Vouchers system is a bit weird for me, never seen like that in any hotel

Location Television remote didn’t work and Shower leaked, when I told the front desk they sent someone who didn’t speak English. The remote was not fixed and all he did was tighten the shower handle so hard that when I went to shower I couldn’t turn it so I had to call him again. After I showered it just continued to leak again. The Toilet also made crazy noises when it was flushed. No body lotion in room

We requested to settle our bill the night before departure since we had an early flight insisting it would take 2 min. Far from the truth. Bill contained several errors incorrect restaurant charges. to make matters worse the manager was extremely rude, unprofessional and completely unhelpful we are still waiting to hear back from the accounting department to have these issues resolved. This experience was the same as my sister in law and her husband. Overall frustrating end to an otherwise average stay.

Clean hotel, pretty quiet and great location, close to the beach! Staff was professional and courteous. I was got checked in as early as I could. Breakfast was great! Towel, beach chairs and bike service was good. Gym was good. Card hold from charges took a few days to clear. 15-20 minutes to South Beach. 20-30 to the city of Miami. 20-25 minutes from Miami International Airport. We didn’t use the $30 daily vouchers. One of the two elevators was down but still able to get around hotel in a timely manner. Pool cabanas seemed not to be in use.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Close to the beach, Publix (for grocery needs), Surfside cafes & restaurants etc.... The staff at this hotel are amazing & friendly. The free continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise as well. The hotel also offers beach towels and chairs for your convenience. Just an amazing stay all together. I would definitely stay here if I'm ever in Miami again.

Pool was closed on a Friday during the entire day for "scheduled maintenance" which none of the staff knew about. I think there was something else going on but it was a huge bummer for everyone that we couldn't use the pool during our stay. Was a very hot and sunny day. Rooms weren't very clean. Dust and hair in the bathrooms. Kitchens weren't stocked. Nothing more than a few glasses in the cabinets. Great location and staff but wouldn't stay again bc of the pool issues and lack of cleanliness.

We had a great stay, the community has a lot restaurants that are walking distance. Great area for people who keep kosher, lots of kosher options and synagogues in the area. The hotel offers free breakfast, bicycles, beach chairs and towels, a nice clean pool, fast Wi-Fi and great views of the beach. The service was really great and friendly. Will be definitely coming back again!

We were on holiday with children. I booked a room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children). We were given a room with 1 bed and 1 sofa. This is too little space. We asked to be put in a bigger room, and for 80 dollars we were given a great room with 2 beds and a large sofa. Many thanks and respect. The breakfasts were excellent, the food was standard and tasty.

across the street. Great pool. Suggestions: 1) The breakfast is fresh but could be varied a bit; 2) Provide umbrellas for the beach; 3) Install a water cooler in the lobby/courtyard; 4) Treat mosquitoes in the courtyard; 5) Inform guests when their rooms will be cleaned.

The staff was less than nice about the request. You are in the hospitality business, not sure why there were attitudes from the staff. The room itself was fine, the pool was fine, requesting towels and chairs for the beach was fine. But asking for the room to be cleaned and getting dry shower towels was an issue!!! No thanks for the bad attitudes.

Ciara was wonderful at the front desk at checkout, she helped accommodate our schedule. Truly the whole staff there is really accommodating. I go to this area of FL for business and this is one of the few places I can rely on for a great stay.

I did not like their towel system that you have to check out towels at front desk, when the pool is on the third floor and that you have to pick up beach chairs at front desk and walk a block to the beach carrying it. Otherwise nice hotel and great location.

The mattresses were old, thin, and very uncomfortable. Regarding breakfast, when an item- like fruits/granola- was finished they would not replace it.

Negatives- Pool closes 7pm even though it’s heated, makes no sense. There’s no lifeguard anyway. Nothing to eat after 9pm except a 3/4 mile walk to a restaurant. Cannot have more than 4 towels in room even with 5 occupancy on reservation. Every day a housekeeping call. First time was for service.- said she was going to eat and then come back. Never came back. Second time was for a towel exchange. Third time was for a missing towel. Fourth time asking for towels again. They need to invest in more towels if they’re short. I feel this hotel is over priced for what you actually get to do. They did offer hotel credits but 2 vouchers disappeared off the counter after housekeeping the 2nd day. Go figure.

I was very happy with my room, the cleanliness, the access to the pool and gym was perfect. I also loved the staff (especially Victor, who went above and beyond in such a professional way). I would deffo visit again.

Really enjoyed our stay and will come back. Very conveniently close to kosher market and restaurants and sinagogue.

I booked this hotel for 5 days specifically because I wanted to stay in, cook food, chat and have a good time. However, my friends and I were not able to do it. The room was uninviting with no carpet and bare floors that was dusty. The kitchen does not have a stove, pots or pans, which is a typical thing for other Residence Inns. The front desk woman was clueless about the operation of the hotel, could not answer any of our questions or inquiries. This was not the experience we wanted to bare for 5 nights and 6 days. Unfortunately we had to, because they told us we will pay a penalty if we checked out early. This was the strangest stay at a hotel. I have never experienced that at other Residence Inns. I don't recommend staying at this hotel.

Great accommodations for a quick weekend in Miami! The room was clean and comfy. The hotel was a 2 minute walk to the beach and the pool deck was great as well. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and an added bonus!

Loved the room! Receptionists Osnat and Niara were very kind and helpful with all we needed! Breakfast service is great, although would be convenient if stays open later. On vacation I enjoy my time not rushing to breakfast. Restaurant are closed too early for dinner. Unfortunately couldn’t really enjoy the 30 usd per day fee for food.

Clean, very close to the beach. They give you chairs and towels. No umbrella( I wish they provide umbrellas like some other hotels nearby). They give you $30 coupon to eat anything from the pool bar. Try the wings, delicious!! Very professional staff. Will return back .

We stayed for one night with kids at this property..really loved the location. Staff was very friendly and services were great...breakfast had lots of choices especially for kids. Property is walking distance to beach. Loved spending time there. Also this property has great outdoor pool with bar. Loved everything about this property.

Nice place

This is a small but great hotel in El Zonte. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds with powerful A/C units. Which was a plus for my husband. The views are amazing. But the staff is what really makes this place great. They go above and beyond. Isela and Erick always had a smile on their face and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Definitely a place I would stay again when in El Salvador.

Very nice, clean, convenient, friendly and helpful staff, food on site, pool, and parking. Room was nice clean as well. It had a full refrigerator, a microwave, sink, dishes, and a dishwasher, which was very convenient. Close to other restaurants, shopping and across the street from the beach. Speaking of, the hotel supplied chairs and towels for you to take to the beach.

The bad: The $30/day voucher system is imposed and it's completely useless. There were no fruits & pancakes for breakfast, deal breaker.

There were too many hidden fees. They charged $30 service fee per person per night plus $40/night for parking. Will not stay again because of the hidden fees.

Had 2 rooms, very nice spacious rooms & clean, staff is very friendly & amazing, breakfast buffet included, beach was nice not too crowded if you’re looking to relax & disconnect, however all restaurants around the area were closed, very limited dinning.

Resort Fee is something to consider. Beach was nice, but they didn't communicate that we need to get towels at the desk (had to go back). Breakfast was very good for a complimentary one.

Overall it is an excellent place, but, we had several issues with the housekeeping (they even left pillows inside the middle of the bed) or the floor never cleant unless we asked for. The hotel gave us some daily bouchers for consumtion at the pool bar, but even a salad took 1.15 hrs to be delivered. There should be some adjustments, but location is really good, the building also

To be fair I will say the pool area was good, our room for 5 was spacious. It could actually gain with some better cleaning to the rug and bathroom area ( found some hairs in the sink and shower as soon as we arrived and I wore a pair of white socks inside the room and at the end of our stay ( 3 nights) they were brown. Breakfast, which is included, was ok. Nothing super delicious, but enough . The location is excellent. My real problem was with the people and service at the front desk. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, this was at 7:00 p.m on July 10th/24 The person at the front desk, her name was NEIYA, told us that the room wasn’t ready. It’s important to notice that the hotel makes you check out at 11:00 a.m. she did not apologized or said anything kind for the delay. She just said that we had to wait at the lobby and she would tell us when ready. Shile all this was happening she was also checking in the rest of my family with 2 other rooms. She was explaining the towels, bouchers, etc. At 8:00 p.m or so I went to ask about the room and she said it was ready, so she didn’t even bothered to tell us. Then asked about the towels,in a very displeasing voice told me she already explained it to the whole group. In summary very awful experience with this woman. There was also another woman at the front desk the next morning and she made us feel like she was doing us a favor and not actually giving a service for a hotel guest. Not a single smile, not a single nice word.
