I loved the homey feeling and the quaintness of the inn. The breakfast is nice too. No elevator may impact the handicapped.

The stunning view from my balcony and its location was easy walking distance from every where. The beautiful room was the perfect place to rest my head after a long day.

This place was peaceful. The balcony was screened in and it included rocking chairs. The room also had a dehumidifier. The only thing we did not like were the stairs. They placed us on the third floor and it was difficult to climb the stairs when you are over 70 yrs old.

The porch faced the marsh...rather have it the other way. The breakfast was really lacking.

The food served was good but after having bacon and eggs several years ago we were a bit disappointed they weren't available this stay Bacon eggs waffles etc more hot items

Location was great No handle bars in bathroom, 3 flights of stairs

Was good but wanted scrambled eggs and bacon previously on the menu and was looking forward to it each morning but wasn't there. Inn should have n elevator. Way too many steps with luggage.

Awesome building with the best sunset view. The staff and facilities will exceed your expectations not to mention the wonderful breakfast each morning.

Breakfast was exceptional, with hot food, oatmeal, homemade breads, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, etc Front and back views from the 2nd floor were beautiful. Our room was fantastic, decorated nicely, very beachy! My only suggestion (suggestion only, not a complaint) would be to have fresh coffee available sooner, maybe 7 am, and breakfast a little earlier, maybe 7:30, for us early birds

Temperature control was easy, heating and cooling. Nice walk to beach. On the first level, the Inn has 2 full showers with soap and shampoo, and each room has a storage room for beach equipment so no sand is tracked to around. We loved Sunset Beach. There is a small sandwich shop in a convenient store and a couple places for ice cream, otherwise you have to go across the bridge but anything you would want is within 5 miles. Definitely will be back.

Clean, well-appointed room. Excellent breakfast, esp the quiche. Fresh fruit and a different fruit bread every day. Lots of options. And the screened-in porch with a view. The pillows!!

Southern hospitality at its finest. The staff could t be any friendlier or more accommodating. Each of the charming 14 rooms comes with its own storage unit where we were able to stow our bicycles and beach chairs. We loved sitting on the screened in porch overlooking tent marsh and watching the birds. It was a wonderful experience.

So, I messaged the hotel that in order to email them outside of the site, I needed an email address because the site didn't allow their email address to go through. They sent the exact same message. When they called (so they had my phone number, but not my email?), I didn't feel the "southern charm". They were obviously frustrated with me and I thought they should've been frustrated with themselves...They could have texted me with any questions, like "What is your email address?". And most people that I know, can't interrupt their business day to check personal emails or answer random calls from strange numbers. Other than this, the stay was nice. It's a no frills place but the location is excellent; one turn and you walk down one street to the beach access. Once you're there, the staff works hard to be nice. I like that the parking lot had wide parking spaces so that others couldn't ding your car taking out luggage. It's in a neighborhood, so you have to drive to dinner. There is a grocery store walking distance away, but no restaurants. The rooms all have views of the marsh.

I have stayed here many times. As a female solo traveler I feel safe and like one of the family. The staff couldn’t be friendlier and the rooms are always comfortable and quiet.

The staff at the Sunset Inn were nice, helpful and personable. The Bermuda room and the sunset view was exceptional and the short walk to the beach saved on parking issues. My wife appreciated the gluten free breakfast options. The porches are a plus and allow you to enjoy the ocean breezes or sunset views. The Sunset Inn was conveniently located near the Sunset Beach Trading Company when the wind took away our beach umbrella. The Wifi worked well and the dehumidifier in the room helped the room be more comfortable. We definitely plan to return soon!

While we didn’t need one, the lack of a microwave in our room surprised me, but there was one in the main office area if we needed so no big deal there. Overall - the Sunset Inn was a fantastic place to stay!

It was close to the mainland but we could walk to the beach and the fishing pier. Great location.

We have stayed there before and enjoyed it. Not interested in being 'on the beach'. This is close enough to enjoy but far enough away not to have to deal with the people traffic.

Overall NOT a bad stay/ location however I would not stay here again. For the price I would have really enjoyed some updated pieces and the swamp smell in the room lingered .

Everything was perfect! We enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was. Every worker was kind and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We definitely will come again.

The property overlooks the marsh and inter-coastal water way with a great view of the sunset, but was only a short walk to the beach. Even though it was cold and rainy for most of the stay we had a very pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, even checking on us before our arrival to make sure all was well because of severe storms in the area.

We have stayed at the Sunset Inn on several occasions and it is always a consistently good experience. They keep the place immaculate. The breakfast has changed since the pandemic to pick and up go items and there is always a variety to choose from. We're always happy with our stay there.

The Bermuda room was fresh, calm and very clean. The balcony is spacious with pretty views of waterway/marsh. Love Sunset Beach and will definitely try to stay at the Inn again.

This was the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. There was a great view of the intercoastal waterway, which also gave a great sense of privacy. My only ding would be that the wifi was a little spotty in the morning. I am definitely going to book a room there next summer.

Due to Covid, we could not be greeted in the lobby. Our door was left unlocked and the keys were inside. We never saw anyone. Our breakfast was a pick up and go breakfast without seeing a soul. There was a dead cockroach under the dresser. The room was very nice. Very thin walls though. About a five minute walk to the beach.

We loved our stay at the Sunset Inn and appropriately viewed an incredible sunset over the intercoastal marsh. They made accommodations for Covid style check-in as we went straight to our room. It was a little freaky though as we never saw an inn employee during our entire stay. A welcome/ check-in call would have been nice.
