Everyone was a tentative. We felt really good about staying there.

The breakfast was very good (for hotels in the USA), and there was a lot of variety. For those wanting to go to the beach: It is very close—you just have to cross Highway 1 (there is a pedestrian crossing approximately 150 meters away). The hotel furnishings and the bathroom are not the newest, but are nonetheless acceptable and functional.

An older place. Fairly clean. Nice breakfast room. “Harbor view is a stretch”. Literally a view of a tiny corner of the view where the tide is out most of the time.

We were there a week. Staff rude. Breakfast periodically ran out of milk, cereal. Room comfortable and clean. Location 10 minutes walk to beach. They wanted to charge us $10 per day parking on arrival because we booked room through Expedia. Would not stay there again because of rude staff.

Yeah so I stayed in room 210 had a nice view of the Bay. My room came with a jacuzzi tub large refrigerator microwave. Very comfortable bed and pillows Small balcony, great room for single or a couple.

The hotel I’d dated and needs updating. Repairs were made but poorly constructed. Woodwork in the bathroom was damaged and needed repair.

I booked a suite 12 days in advance but when I checked in, they told me the suites we're booked. I paid for a suite and was not given a suite.

Shower floor was cracked. No staff around entrance/lobby

looked dirty everything. Out of electric power several times for the whole night...

Jan.2026.Nice decor. Very clean and quiet. My TV remote had a dead battery and it took 3 trips to the front desk to replace it.There is no toilet paper roll holder in the room! Unable to fully enjoy the balcony as it was soaking wet throughout from ?AC unit leaking condensation or something and nobody offered to fix it, I was only given towels to place on the wet ground. The large TV only displays local channels and would not allow casting from my android phone. The in-room safe had a dead battery and could not be used. Most of the staff is very friendly. Nice location. Sadly, I was not offered any compensation for all the inconveniences.

Staff was excellent and room was great for the price. However, I struggled to get sufficient hot water for shower at 11:30pm. Also minimal hot water in morning.

Room was beautiful and very quiet! The plumbing could use work as the shower took almost ten minutes to warm up and was not able to change from shower to bath, both ran simultaneously without being able to change it. The staff were friendly but a bit uninformed when asked questions. The location was perfect!

We loved the closeness to the Harbor and across the street, the beach. Both directions were an easy enjoyable walk. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The only disappointing thing was at 1025am when there was a knock on the door to remind us checkout was at 11am. I was just showering and this was very uncomfortable and unnecessary as we just saw the desk clerk minutes earlier and acknowledged 11 was checkout time. Hopefully this will change.

This is an older hotel. But the rooms are large and clean, the breakfast options are numerous and the parking is great. The wifi was reliable and the staff very friendly. This was our second stay in 2 months. Our new go-to hotel for our beach trips.

Cons: No hot water from double sinks, Shower was okay. Parking very tight if you have big car or truck. Carpet on corners in 214 needs to be redone due to staples or small nails exposed. Electric plugs on lamps for charging are loose :( I would think of staying again if issues taken care of. :)

Nice to be on the harbor of Huntington Beach. Room lay out a little odd. Sink across from bed & next to TV was awkward Drom couch hadr to see TV because TV doesn'tswivel. Parking is limited and tight. Nice to havebreakfast available; a few choices as well..

A pretty standard cheap hotel at a not cheap price. How this place is rated an 8 is beyond me, if a Ritz Carlton is a 9+ then this place should be a 5.5 or 6 at best. Polite staff at a hotel in dire need of updating.

The property is old and needs new carpet and paint. Air worked good and the suite was comfortable with 4 adults. Just interacted with staff for checkin and it was quick and fine. Parking was nice. Nice restaurants are about 10 minutes away. Beds were comfy enough.

Staff was great. The front desk staff helped to jump start my car battery. Super helpful. Loved it.

Room 209. Dark, dirty carpet and floors. Bed linens and towels clean. Good location to beach. Reserved through Expedia and may have paid the weekly rate as we stayed 7 nights. Weekly rate is reduced so not sure if that was why the room quality was what it was or if other rooms same but ours did not look like the pictures. Carpet had a lot of stains and room smelled like mildew. Had door open as much as possible but right off PCH so noisy with door shut, very loud with door open. I'm m sure they'll do fine but I won't stay again.

Also, per Orbitz, the hotel allows dogs. But they do not except for service dogs.

Horrible hotel don’t stay at this property. Rooms are dirty shower was disgusting . I upgraded the suite for charged for it by Expedia and when got to the property had given the last upgraded suite to somebody else. I reached out to Expedia and I never got this issue resolved and I ended up overpaying for a regular room. I’m also very disappointed with Expedia. This has been over a month and they never reached out to me. I will no longer be using them for my future travels

Our stay was a great experience. The hotel is literally a 5 min walk to the beach, the fridge and microwave made it easy to make food and the breakfast they served was good! Hot eggs and sausage with potatoes hit the spot. You could also make your own waffles! The king bed was comfy and the pull out couch was perfect to have if you are traveling with kids. The balcony was nice to have breakfast on too!

Well we reserved a bay view suite which turned out to be a small room with a large jacuzzi tub in front of a window looking out at channel water and peoples homes. Not impressed. Night shift was rude. Would not stay again.

Probably the worst bang for your buck. Room was super expensive for what was offered. Room had a scent to it that was unbearable for the first few hours. Tried to change rooms but the front desk shrugged it off and said there were no more rooms available. They didn’t try to

Language barrier with staff, very out dated, when booking- the hotel is presented as far nicer than it really is. Sleeping on a foldable bed in a king suite, I think you can afford real mattresses at the outrageous cost per night. Enjoy scabbed together features- broken mirrors. One tiny bottle of shampoo and three bottles of conditioner. Someone else’s hair in the side table drawer, the dresser drawers tracks are clearly broken and drawers struggle to open. The doors were stuck shut, yellow tape marked off other access points that wasn’t really yellow anymore because it had been there so long. Really this place is a dump but close to the beach. Good water pressure tho and hot water. Food was mediocre at best with many items broken in the kitchen area. Just incredibly disappointed with this visit. I have photos and I’m happy to share them.

Location, location, location. Not quite ocean view, but if you have the right room you can see a teeny bit of ocean between two blogs.

5 min walk to the beach, harbor right around the door. It might need to be updated but it’s still a good place to stay. Parking is not design for big cars. Room was spacious and the water hot. Bed was comfortable. Front desk clerk was very friendly and informative. I would definitely book this place in the future.

This was a very nice hotel and a wonderful location! The rooms were spacious and the staff very friendly.

Know in the morning then when I check out and check back in he try’s to charge me $60 early check in. And then tried to get $100 deposit which they have never done I’ll never stay here again I would like a refund for both nights or atleast one and some omelet cash

The property was super close to the beach which was very nice. We only ate near the property once and was walkable and very yummy, shoutout to Sunset Pizza. The parking garage was very convenient. Even though the hotel was right on PCH, it was quiet. Beds were comfy and the room was larger than a standard room size. The breakfast was good enough. We did need a toothbrush but they were completely out. We also did need to print something but I was unable to access my email from the computer they had and the printer was missing the black ink so it would not work anyway. Overall, the price I paid must be for the convenience of accessing the beach because it was pretty basic.

The room was clean initially. However the daily clean was not great. Scraps left on the carpet. Bathroom mirrors not cleaned. No soap or shampoo holders in the bathroom shower, everything has to be sat on the floor of the shower, and the tile was slippery.

Great little hotel for the price. Clean, quite, large rooms, friendly staff, parking was good, less than a minute walk to the beach, easy access to PC1 highway and surrounding areas. The only thing I would want different is the showers. We stayed in a standard king room and the showers are very small. Other than that this was a great stay!

The hotel's location is also very convenient. There are good restaurants within walking distance and the beach with magnificent sunsets.

Decent property but definitely not 5 star worthy. Four stars is based on location- rooms need remodeling and updating. Bottom line: you get what you pay for, so excellent value = 4 stars.

Furnishings are quite dated, tiny bathrooms, even in the suites. Parking is limited and a concern. Otherwise it could be 4’s or 5’s across the board.

Property was not up to the standards of BW we have experienced before. Rooms were clean and breakfast was good. But it's a dated property that needs upgrading. Main entrance was blocked with tape requiring to enter through garage. Ceiling by the front desk was under construction due to roof repairs. Not what we expect when paying over $200 per night

Upon arriving, the hotel was very outdated, and in need of renovations… definitely new carpet/flooring. It was very very musty when entering the room and very damp feeling, carpet was damp. It just instantly gave us a uneasy feeling about the stay.

Everything was great about the stay, staff was friendly, rooms were large , only thing would be the bathroom sink was where the beds were so in the night washing hands woke the people sleeping also...they alarm clock kept going off, did not allow you ro turn off just snooze, but all in all a very nice stay.

We stayed in a harbor suite and despite being on PCH, the room was very quiet. Breakfast had good choices. Parking was limited Saturday night, and there was no parking in the street. The shower has a very narrow bathtub, but overall the decor was nice.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. All staff members were very warm & friendly. My bed was very comfortable. My room was big & it was very quiet, even though PCH was just outside my window. Nice breakfast served buffet style every morning with a variety of offerings. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I have another event to attend in Sunset Beach.

, charged for a suite when a king balcony is what was reserved, the room was a strange configuration and the cooling unit blew on me all night. I ended up sleeping on the couch which was broken down in the middle. There was mold in the shower and on the mats. Upon check out, I was billed 25 dollars more than what the confirmation said.

We loved the balcony and spa tub, and only a couple blocks to get to food or the beach. Breakfast options were limited, decent for a continental free breakfast.

Parking is not managed well but tow policy's are enforced. Parking garage had a major water leak cause the lot to be full of water and offering a slik surface. Staff was not friendly and did not give a welcoming invite. My floor had a masive puddle of water with signage and the staff placed me in the room next to the issue. My room had moist floors and a smell beyond. I tried to leave wy window open to air it out but the noise of the traffic was unbearable. It also smelled like smoke even with all of the signs stating it was a smoke free property they offer a massive ash tray on the patio. Noisey, Dirty property with rude staff. 0 stars!

Perfect location near to the beach. Ben on reception was excellent, We had a problem with the bathroom and Ben sorted it out so quickly and efficiently. Very pleasant young man. Best Western lucky to have him

I like how close the property is to the beach, easy to walk around. The property was pretty quiet and felt safe. Clean room and the free breakfast was a plus.

The first being the room. In the room we had, The shower curtain rod was not appropriately placed making the shower space limited. And the shower head was spraying the back of the shower causing water to get aok over the floor. There was no way to adjust this based on the positioning of the pipe it was connected to. Additionally, the furniture could use some updating. The second being the parking. They only allow one vehicle per room as there is very limited parking. Which is fine, we only had one car. But some of the spaces are pretty small bigger vehicles should not park in the parking garage. The third and final thing was the breakfast. More specifically the eggs. The eggs are no good. They are clearly either frozen and look like a sunny side up egg or they use the powdered egg reconstituted to be scrambled eggs. Aside from the above mentioned items, I had absolutely no problem with this hotel. And I would 100% stay here again. The pricing for the location and hotel is just perfect and budget friendly.

Hospitality

Breakfast was good, unit was clean, the location was good & close to where we had to go.

The location is within easy walking distance to the ocean beach, several great dining options, and convenience stores. You can also safely access residential roads for a quiet walk on either the harbor or ocean sides of the PCH. We would definitely stay again, for a quick beach getaway!

The not so great things… we had to let the shower run for a very long time before it ever got luke warm. We never enjoyed a hot shower. I’m sure with being on the 3rd floor it may take a while for the hot water to make it way through but a solid 20-30 minutes for it to ever turn warm…. Kinda odd and a waste of water. We may consider staying elsewhere during our future vacations to Huntington Beach area!

The hotel was SO noisy, the staff were unfriendly and wouldn’t give us towels, the rooms were outdated and grungy and everyone and I mean everyone smoked on the balconies - the whole hotel smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. This was NOT a cheap stay and the hotel property does not reflect the cost.

Decent hotel. However it is old and needs some renovation. Carpet is old and stained. Bathroom floor grout needs to be replaced. It was clean enough for me to stay. I just wore flip flops the whole time. The beach across the street is a definite plus as well as all of the convenience of nearby restaurants.

This hotel is good and bad. Parking is limited and hard to get into if you don't drive a compact. Nice friendly staff. Likely the worst, most worn out bed I have slept on in 40 years. Terrible mattress. Couch was so uncomfortable due to the fact when you sat in it the springs gave way and you sat almost on the floor. And I am average weight. Noisy. Chair for the desk was a joke. When you sat in it it went down to it's lowest setting so you were practically on the floor. Relatively good breakfast. Parking is below the hotel and it does have an elevator. It is close to the water, but you cannot see it.

The staff were friendly and helpful! Not bad for being right across Sunset Beach!! Not sure when they renovated because the decor and hotel is outdated but it’s kept up and cleaned ! 711 and liquor store is right across the street also! I would def stay here again for an inexpensive get away!

The room was nice and clean.

Our suite was good. There is mold on the tub mat that can easily be corrected instead of just being left. The interior is nice and the balcony that faces the harbor needs to have the bird droppings cleaned up. Overall, we would stay here again if we return to California.

Property is old and outdated. Advertisement states “sound proof rooms”. This is not the case whatsoever. Internet wouldn’t work and neither would tv. A staff member was in my room for 30 min and suggested I speak to the manager. However, they never returned my phone calls. Contacted Expedia directly and I was not helped either. Would not recommend staying here

The hotel is very dated and could use an update. The room smelld musty and had stains on the carpet. The front desk staff was nice. The area directly around the hotel was ok. There were a couple restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Beach and Bus transport are close by.

Need smoking rooms available other than that everything is great
