The staff was very kind and welcoming. The area is very nice, with food and shopping options nearby. The rooms are clean and inviting, and the complimentary breakfast was appreciated. The power was off for around 24 hours, and no staff reached out to accommodate or apologize/explain. I get that things like that are unpredictable, but it was a struggle coming home from a concert late at night and having to get ready for bed in the pitch black. There was no hot water during the outage, as well. At check-out, the staff did not mention anything, and the power was still out when we left.

Everything was clean, staff friendly and kind, breakfast was delicious.

If your looking for affordable (cheap) and friendly stop here, if you're looking for a romantic evening or a family vacation experience, do not stop here.

I asked for a clean towels and a cleaning person to clean our room or at least take the trash away(trash can in the bathroom is full) when we left for lunch. When we came back, it was disappointing to see that our room has not been clean. I went to asked for the towels at the front desk and she also gave me a plastic liner for the trash can. We cleaned our bathroom and threw the trash. I hope this will be given attention when the clients ask at least comply. What I asked is not heavy work at all.

Room was spacious and clean. Only issue I had was the carpeting at the edge of the door frame was frayed with strands of carpet sticking out (I’m OCD so that’s my issue). Location is very convenient , right opposite In/Out burger and a Safeway 5 min walk away Staff , especially the front desk was friendly, always greeting us with a warm smile and hello

This is nice hotel but it is in some sort of cellular service and Wi-Fi black hole. All three of our phones did not have any ability to use the internet through our cell connections. We had to drive about a half mile away from the property to get internet connection. Maybe this is a Verizon thing but it was terrible. The Wi-Fi offered by the hotel would take up to 20 minutes to connect and be usable. It would randomly kick you off and then it was another 5 to 20 minute wait to reconnect. The rest of the amenities were great for the price point.

At the time of check in, we were informed that they messed up our room with other’s. We were given a smaller size room. Then our room’s bathroom fall off but they don’t have a maintenance person to fix it. This is an overall terrible experience and we will never come back again.

This place was upto date, and I loved that the breakfast started at 6am.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Rooms were clean and roomy for the 3 of us. Breakfast bar had plenty of options. Only issue we had was when we came back from our concert the power was out. It wouldnt have been an issue except we had just bought healthy snacks that needed to be refrigerated and it all spolied. There was no reimbursement or any compensation for the inconvenience. Also since no power, there was no breakfast 😔

Since the hotel is located in the hotel zone, it felt safe and comfortable. However, if you want to visit the main tourist attractions, you will need to drive a bit. Overall, the price was very reasonable and offered good value.

The Maple Tree Inn had everything. It was a great value. The $10 charge for parking came as a surprise, although perhaps it was mentioned previously in the listings. I would suggest the hotel add the cost of parking charge to the price of the room.

The staff was very polite, the price was ok for the zone, this hotel charges for the parking, a new thing for me. The rooms are small but everything is renewed and clean, the breakfast was great with many choices to eat, I recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay in it again.

The hotel breakfast was very fresh delicious. The scambled eggs and potatoes were especially enjoyle. The toasted bread with jam was tasty, and the apple juice was refreshing. It was wonderful way to start the day. Overall, it was vry pleased with the quality of the breakfast and appresiated the attention to detail in the dinning experience.

This is my go to hotel when I’m in town for personal or business. Staff is friendly. Rooms are always clean. Conveniently located right off the El Camino.

I was not allowed to check in on pretext my same ID that was used two prior times was not valid and money refund was denied, I was denied accommodation at other places due to personal comments of front desk Punjabi two people that I had never seen before, but both kelt claiming they knew me for years, which was weird , when I saw their faces for first time in my life. They denied me refund of my money, or alternate arrangements for another hotel,

It was a good hotel, clean, coffee and fridge in room, good water pressure in shower, good free breakfast (eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, padtry, Bagels, make your own pankakes, etc.) in morning. The only thing i noticed is we needed a USB charging station for phones. Furniture was a little beat up but plenty of storage, etc. The $10 parking fee was unexpected.

I enjoyed my stay. There are a couple of restaurants that we were able to walk to, and that was helpful as we didn't have a car.

I wish they would man the pool a little bit. There were some kids playing a little too rough maybe walking through once in a while will keep people in check since the parents were not. Also the hot tub is out of service. Also, can you remind guest not to let the door slam to the room?

And there was no one at the front desk to help. We had to get on a flight early in the morning, and needed to sleep unfortunately all our food went bed in the fridge as well. People were leaving left and right, all night slamming doors.. we should have left and move to a hotel lesson on our part lesson learned. But the next morning the staff was NOT nice at all. The issue that I have the most problem with is there was no communication and they said I was a scheduled power outage nothing they can do about thay. Which if that was so they should have put something on peoples doors to let them know atleast, my theory is it wasn't and they also dont have a back up generator. It was a good find but just be prepared. And if a black out happens do yourself a favor and make them put you up at another hotel.

A couple drawbacks: They do charge $10 per day to park And, the nightstand lights are the "old fashioned" lamps, where you have to reach up and turn the small knob. Most places now have the modern nightstands with computer-like switches. Aside from those two things, this place was awesome. You definitely get your monies-worth and more !

We had a great stay. We booked a room for a one night stay after going to the BTS concert at the Stanford stadium. The staff that checked us in was very nice and the room looks better in person then in the pictures. Thank you maple tree inn for making my first Concert experience great.

There was power outage that lasted all night and the property doesn’t have generator. They didn’t refund or gave us a discount. I wouldn’t recommend staying in this hotel.

I stayed there over a week ago and they still haven’t returned my deposit. I’ve tried to call them and the phone call won’t go through I’m really upset. I need my money.

Breakfast was very nice, the room was very clean. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

The staff was great,but the electricity went out at 8:00 p.m. and did not return due to severe winds in the area. No hot water for showers. Missed out on the great breakfast also due to the power outage.No fault of the hotel. I'm planning a trip back to this area in a few months and planning to stay at the Maple Tree Inn.

Older place but well maintained and nice. Breakfast was OK, nothing to write home about. They charge $10 for parking but still a fair deal overall for the area.

This hotel is my go to stay whenever I am in town for work. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful especially when it comes to checking in late night. The hotel itself is very quiet with clean rooms and a gorgeous pool. 10/10 I always recommend Maple Tree Inn to anyone looking to stay in the area. The parking sometimes is hard to get in to/ find when the hotel is fully booked but they have recently started a new parking program and it was much easier to find parking both in the evening and late at night.

I drive up to the Bay Area every other month for business and friends. This was my first time at the Maple Tree Inn. Was a very good meld of quality and affordability. I'll definitely keep it on my list for future trips.

I have stayed here on two separate trips to Sunnyvale. I highly recommend Maple Tree Inn. I find the rooms clean, comfortable, and quiet. I enjoy the complimentary breakfast offerings. The coffee is excellent. Having a water bottle filler in the gym is very helpful before heading out for a day of exploring. My only (small) complaint would be that no one from housekeeping visited my room at all during the 5 days I stayed this time. I expected someone to check if the used towels needed to be removed or to empty the garbage. Perhaps there is a policy regarding longer stays. I know I could have requested services, but I decided not to. If I plan another multi-day trip, I will certainly say something.

The room and service didn’t match what’s advertised, and overall the property feels poorly maintained. Breakfast was completely standard and nothing special. Most concerning is how misleading the online ratings are compared to the actual experience. This place is clearly overpriced for what you get. Would not recommend—there are far better options at this price point.

There's a $10 parking fee per car that I wasn't aware of until the rang it up, when i asked what the $10 charge was for, she replies with it's right here and points to a stand alone document holder with a printed sheet of paper that says as of January of 2026; an additional $10 will be charged. I said you might want to update your advertising since I can't read that when I'm reserving the room,.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We’ve stayed at Maple Tree Inn for over 6 years and always loved it, but this visit was disappointing. The new parking fee is frustrating—especially since the lot is uncovered, unsupervised, and still “park at your own risk,” while other nearby hotels offer free parking. The rooms also seem to be going downhill. Our shower didn’t drain well, water pressure was poor, and there was a loud bathroom fan that stayed on past the time we were told it would shut off. Sadly, this experience is making us consider staying elsewhere after many years of loyalty.

The hotel used to offer instant ramen during breakfast and weekday afternoon socials, which was a nice and unique touch—I wish they still had it. One improvement I’d suggest is adding USB outlets in the rooms, as it would make charging devices much more convenient.

I checked in around 9 pm at 4/7 and get the room number 190. The girl with glasses and black hair at the front desk was very rude and didn't even look at me.Later, I wanted to change the room for some reasons, and it was acceptable because the policy was rejected.But I can't even get a reasonable explanation. In the end, I don't know what the reason is. I asked her name, and she said she refused to tell me any information.I think the front desk staff of this hotel has no training at all and is not enthusiastic about this job.I decided to check out immediately half an hour after checking in. EvenI will lose the cost of two nights.If you decide to stay in this hotel, you must be careful of their strange policies. And accept their poor service attitude.this is the worst hotel around Bay Area.

Great hotel, we enjoyed our stay! Very clean, nice facilities, loved the pool and hot tub! Breakfast was pretty good. Conveniently located (we took Caltrain down from SF, and took a rideshare to fly out of SJC and both worked fine). Would stay again! We had an issue with the travel crib provided where it was not on the lowest setting, so our toddler easily could've climbed out and injured himself. The staff claimed there was no way to change it, but an online search of the same model/type of crib showed there is and there were clearly holes to lower it down, we just did not have tools to do so. We ended up putting a bunch of pillows/blankets next to it in case our toddler tried to climb out, but it was stressful having to worry about his safety on vacation. We purposely booked a place that offered travel cribs so we would not have to lug our Pack & Play. But if you have an older toddler, you may want to bring a P&P! Also, breakfast could've used a wider variety of options (my child is allergic to dairy/milk and my husband is lactose intolerant, so at least one nondairy milk option like soy/oat/almond milk would've been nice, for instance).

A $200 room for about $100. Amazing! A little worn in places, but no torn rugs or wallpaper! Staff is great (gladly gave us 1pm checkout). Free breakfast is mid-range (hot, but no custom omelettes?). Pet fee is still only $20, and there are lots of places outside to walk your dog. (Mine loves a 10 minute perimeter journey, which he could easily make 20 minutes!) In-room coffee is Keurig. The staff is always friendly and accommodating!The pool and hot tub are always nice, and it’s right on El Camino Real, so easy to get anywhere. I’ve stayed several times with my pup and I love coming back because I know exactly what to expect!! It’s a little bit far from Santa Clara University, but that is expected and worth it as I love staying at Maple Tree!

The room was fine the only problem was the $10.00 a day additional parking fee. Where do they think you should park your car if its not at the hotel you are staying at. That is a joke, I've stayed at a lot of hotels without having to pay parking fees. I will NOT stay again.

Room was OK a bit noisy with kids running around the halls unitl after 9pm. Breakfast a bit skimpy....no English Muffins to toast same eggs and pork sausage for 3 mornings straight. Do have a "magic pancake machine" but no butter only syrup.

The hotel serves continental breakfast, that starts at 6 AM. They have a TV that they turn on at 5:45 AM that is on the wall. The room I was in, shared that adjoining wall and it woke me up at 5:45. I tried to ignore it, but it was too loud. I called the front desk and they said they could not lower the volume, and there was nothing they could do. An absolute horrible experience, and I do not understand how they can justify having that room for customers.

The room was clean. The drain in the shower was clear, which I often check for. The staff were lovely. The only small thing that would be amazing is brighter lights in the bathroom. I would be happy staying here again! The location is very convenient too!

At check-in, the front desk collected my card for the security deposit and gave me a parking pass to place on my dashboard. Since nothing was explained, I reasonably assumed parking was charged at that time. The room assigned to me was at the far end of the property, which already felt inattentive. During my stay, I was hauling large bags using the hotel trolley, clearly visible to the front desk staff, yet no one offered assistance or even acknowledged it, which is basic hospitality. Later that night (after 10 pm), I went downstairs to get water and was told by a rude receptionist that there was no water cooler available and that the only one was in the gym, which she said was closed. Her only suggestion was to sell a tiny bottle of water for $3, which is unreasonable. Thankfully, my key card still worked and I was able to access the gym myself to refill my bottle. Checkout was even worse. The same receptionist asked if I had a car and requested my card again for parking. When I explained that my card had already been taken at check-in, she insisted no payment had been made and dismissed concerns about double charging without clearly checking or explaining their system. Overall, this stay showed a lack of professionalism, poor communication, and minimal guest care. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting basic courtesy and competence.

The hotel implemented parking charges effective January 1st. As I had reserved my room in December, I inquired whether these new fees would apply to my existing reservation. The staff member's response was to offer cancellation if I was unwilling to pay and wished to 'make a scene.' I found it shocking that upon check-in, rather than addressing my reasonable question, the front desk threatened to cancel my reservation. This was an extremely disappointing experience

I drove seven hours and checked with nobody in line and a person named Guneet was super rude and pushy because I was taking too long looking for the license plate from my rental car. I am a stroke survivor and it takes me a bit longer to do things. She ruined my night.

I stayed thankfully for only 2 days. Im confused as to why all the 10 star reviews as i was expecting a 10 star room in regards to cleanliness and breakfast. Checking in was good and the front desk staff was nice. Please note that they charge $10 per night charge for parking which i didn't know before booking. I go to my room and immediately when i opened the door, the room smelled stale and old as if it hadn't been touched. I know that the housekeepers are on a time schedule and do a half job. So i always pack cleaning material with me for occasions like this. I cleaned every nob and also the bathroom which had loose hairs on the floor and in the shower. All of which took about a quick 10 minutes and the room smelled completely clean. I unpacked and settled into the room and the toilet was backing up. The front desk sent someone and they were able to plunge it until it flushed properly. There were little black ants coming from the sink and onto the counter top that i had to deal with. There was a hole in the side of the wall that had an outlet around it to cover it. I felt like a camera could have been in there so i cover it with tissue. The remote to the tv would randomly push the wrong thing or wouldn't work at all. The walls were super thin. I could here the guy next door snoring extremely loud which kept me up. And the person above me was stomping every time they walked inside there room I'm guessing due to thin walls. The breakfast was not good. So much

Have been coming here for 6 years, all through covid and enjoyed every stay and always gave rave reviews! Very disappointed to have a sudden $10 parking fee popped on me during check-in because I booked through Expedia which I always have. Nothing mentioned during booking or the two emails I received directly from the property.

Rooms were very clean and had a lot of little things such as extra coffee cups, small emergency light and umbrella. I really enjoyed the breakfast selection as well especially the miso soup they offered. Definitely would stay here again!

Breakfast wasn’t your typical breakfast at a chain hotel. There were more options. Also, there were more amenities than the chain hotels. For example, a bathrobe and umbrella were hanging in the closet. The only thing I noticed was the walls were not insulated as well so if you had someone in the next room, you heard some noise. But it wasn’t too bad.

My problem was expedia.com and hotel have conflicting prices on parking. Expedia.com says free but hotel charges. My other issue was i was charged deposit fee twice. One when i cked in and another the next day in morning. Hopefully they will reverse the charge minus parking and dog fee. I was emailed my dog would receive a welcome package but none was given except alot of rules (some common sense)

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It is an older hotel that had upgrades done to it over the years. The restroom door was converted into a sliding door that didn’t sit flushed with the frame. So you can see in the restroom a bit. Luckily it was just me and my husband. I was a little disappointed that the hotel charged a $10 parking fee even though that wasn’t stated when I booked the room. The breakfast was decent except the potatoes were cold. They did have a lot of options to choose from and they have flavored creamer which was a plus. I would stay here again.

The front desk staff were so pleasant and it's truly some of the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The chef was sweet and is clearly well loved by those who stay there...and I now see why!

The smell on the lower floor, starting from room 180, is terrible. When I asked to change rooms, the female employee's expression changed, and she said they wouldn't change it a second time.

I checked in earlier than expected and then left to continue working. When I returned after work, I sat at the desk to complete paperwork on my computer. As I leaned back in the desk chair, I heard a loud pop and the chair collapsed. I fell backward onto my back and side while I was on the phone with my wife, and I struck my head on the edge of the bed, leaving a visible bruise. After getting up, I inspected the chair and found it had been improperly assembled. One bolt was completely missing, and the remaining bolt appeared barely secured. This was clearly a maintenance failure and created a serious safety hazard. I immediately went to the front desk on New Year’s Eve to speak with a manager, but none was available. I asked the clerk to leave a message for the manager to contact me. Instead of documenting the incident, she dismissed the situation and asked if I wanted water. On New Year’s Day, I returned to the front desk and spoke with a different clerk. Again, there was no manager available. I requested that a message be written for the manager to call me. This clerk did document the issue and apologized. On the morning of my checkout, around 8:00 a.m., I again went to the front desk and requested to speak with a manager. I was told the manager was not in, so I asked for yet another message to be left requesting a call back. Despite multiple attempts and repeated requests, I have never been contacte

While this hotel is not a 5 star hotel, I found it to be very decent--nicer than your average Super 8 or Motel 6. Clean room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Their breakfast was good. The only complaint I would have is that the showerhead needs to be positioned in a different place--I don't like having cold water hitting my arm when turning it on. If I were to be in the area again, I'll definitely use this hotel again!

Rates were exceptional for the area, and overall the motel appears to be run well. Probably wasn’t clear on the booking site that this was a 2 star level motel.

I stay at this hotel often, and it’s always very clean and comfortable. The shower has strong water pressure, the surroundings are nice, and the breakfast is great. The only downside is the desk lamp — it’s really too dim. Every time I try to work at the desk, it strains my eyes. I’ve never understood why the hotel doesn’t upgrade the lamp, because everything else here is excellent.

The room and halways of this hotel have a very bad smell. It's not nearly as nice as I thought it would be based on the ratings. The staff at the front desk were also pretty unhelpful for basic hospitality needs.

Maple Inn will forever be where I stay no matter where I need to go in the bay area. The neighborhood is quite and there are tons of restaurant choices within walking distance. The staff was so friendly and attentive, no matter what I asked for they delivered. The Inn feels warm and inviting unlike most places that have that slick, cold corporate feel. The room was super clean and expertly apointed. There's even a nice robe for you in the closet. There's a coffee, tea and cucumber water station 24/7 and well stocked vending machines on every floor. The breakfast buffet (which is complimentary) was way more than I expected. Scrambled eggs with cheese, ham, sausage, potatos, pancakes, bagels, muffins, fruit, chobani yogurt, rice and miso soup(my favorite) also cold and hot cereals. The pool area is beautiful and a great place to have your breakfast as it opens up right next to the dining room. I can't say enough good about it and I can't believe how reasonable the price was! Can't wait to go back.

Both rooms (we had switch rooms cause we had dogs, and I guess they require you to be on the first floor if you have pets) had a mildew smell to them and just seemed to be dirty upon arrival. Spa was not working and was cold which was disappointing. Other than those things we had a good time.

The Maple Tree Inn, located in Sunnyvale, CA, is a very nice and reasonably priced hotel. It has a nice outdoor swimming pool and a convenient fitness center. The property is well-maintained and conveniently located. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff is super-friendly and accommodating to guests.

The maple tree inn gave our reserved rooms away to someone else. Plus there were no other rooms available so we had to go to another hotel. All of this was at 1am. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences in my 20 years of traveling for a living. There was no help from the staff and no explanation as to why our reserved rooms were given to someone else.

Pool was great! Hot tub was nice and clean and towels were right next to it. Breakfast was typical breakfast food . Rooms were clean and quiet

Stayed here two weekends in a row and ask me 20 questions when checking in with my service dog. Then act surprised when I say the company I work for. Do better.

Definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in the Sunnyvale area. Rooms and restrooms are clean, the bed was comfortable and quiet due the evening. Not so much interaction with the staff but they all seemed friendly and helpful!

I think this hotel is one of the best values in the area. The pool and hot tub are always operational, the breakfast is hot and has plenty of options, good strong house coffee. Staff is always amenable and the rooms are quiet, clean and have modern temperature control,

This place was lovely. They have a breakfast buffet every morning, the rooms are very nice with a comfy bed, and the staff are very friendly & professional. Would definitely stay here again!

Free breakfast every morning was really nice. The bed was comfortable. Location was very nice. Things I didn't care for was the check-in personnel. Also didn't like the bathroom lights. Not very bright. The person who checked me out was very nice, professional and smiled.

The only problem I had was that the bathroom door didn't close all the way, leaving a slight gap. It was a sliding door. Staff were nice and helpful and the breakfast was good and there was variety. The location was good, near transit and some stores. As well, there were no electrical outlets near the bed so we had to charge our phones on the other side of the room. TV had Netflix and YouTube which was nice.

Great place and safe

Loved that there is a gym and a laundry room. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. I didn't use the pool but it sure looked inviting. I would and probably will stay here again in November.

Great place to stay with many amenities nearby. Clean rooms and very friendly staff. We always bring my husband's service dog but have never received the dog VIP bag that they supposedly give out - oh well. Every thing else is great.

1st time at this property. Very nice, clean, and quiet. Staffers very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with several different options. Hotel is close to restaurants and shopping. I would stay here again.

The hotel is so nice, clean , the room was way better than I expected. The receptionists are very friendly , we have all kind of stores around. Definitely we gonna book with Maple again , see you soon

For a couple of hours after entering the room, we were puzzled by some dark brown sticky lines appearing on our palms. We struggled to wash them off by rubbing a lot of soap. Finally, we realized the edge of a table in the room had some sticky/greasy stuff - a lot of it. When wiped with a hand sanitizer wipe, it made the whole wipe brown! We showed it to the front desk person, and they just apologized for it.

We have been staying at the Maple tree Inn since the 1970s. We always enjoy our stays there when we are in Sunnyvale.

A room was not ready at check in. Booked through Expedia. While waiting in lobby others with direct booking checked in immediately. TV' s in adjacent rooms blasted well past midnight. Subsided a bit after we started banging on walls. Upstairs (3rd floor occupants were banging around--very loudly--until 2 AM. However one desk person tried hard to be pleasant and supportive. Kudos to Grace.
