Upon check in we discovered that there were crumbs and debris on the floor of our room. After going to the front desk asking if there was a vacuum I could use, the person at the desk informed me that there was no cleaners on site at this time and that the vacuums were locked up. Thankfully he was able to get us into a different room that did not have these issues. The gym was pretty basic with some dumbbells going up to 50lb and some treadmill and elliptical machines. The breakfast was excellent, eggs, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal it was all great and the staff kept it well stocked. Very satisfied with my stay.

We picked this property because of the included breakfast, pool, and gym space. The breakfast was hot with choices of eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, sausage, oatmeal, pancakes, and juices. The pool was very cold but clean. The seating around the pool was disappointing. There were only 3 lounge chairs and one was broken. There were a couple of regular chairs as well. The gym space was nice and available at any time. The location was convenient and the staff were very pleasant.

I didn't wait. The Holiday Inn charged my debit card an extra $50 for incidentals on March 6 and assured me that it would be returned to my bank in 7 to 10 days; 2weeks later, no return. The manager said she was searching but my name was misspelled, but she found it, and I would receive it in 24 to 48 hours. I did not. A week later I was told that it was lost in the Opera system but found; once again I was assured that I would receive it in 24 to 48 hours. I did not receive it. I called a third time, and she hung up on me. Then I contacted the corporate level, and they said that the hotel is responsible for returning it to me. Booking.com has warned me that suspicious activity has happened on my account.

Nicely maintained and very comfortable beds

The Hotel Was Amazing Experience! The staff greeted us and told us the activities to do around the State ! Once we check in to the Room , it was spacious & clen! Plus the beds are very comtorble to sleep ! Plus the breakfast was delicious perfect selection to start your morning ! Plus I love the coffee machine 24/7 I would recommend this Hotel to anyone !

The milk was all expired! They ran out of eggs . The pancake maker was not working. They start breaking the breakfast down and closing it 15 minutes before it closes . At 9:15 the cinnamon rolls were turned off and sit aside so they were getting cold. The grits were dried out. In Tuesday morning the attendant was rude. The other days the attendants were nice. Overall the place was great but this part about breakfast needs work!!!

The rooms offered ample space & very comfortable bedding. The location is perfect - the area offers many restaurants and stores for light shopping. The complimentary breakfast offered plenty of fresh options, both for eating in or taking to go. Parking was safe and convenient.

Clean and the greatest clerk I have ever met

Room was ready when we checked in. Breakfast was excellent again (reason we returned). Saves us money because buying 2 breakfast for two day would have cost 40 for each day. Our room rate nets out to 100.00 per day. The Holiday Express is next to Food Lion Grocery convivence shopping ample parking.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The only complaint is the outside noise. It is near a very busy road and at times it was loud. Other than that it was great. I would definitely recommend staying here. It is close to everything you need.

When I first got to the hotel by the looks of the parking lot and surrounding area, I was really skeptical about how it would be and look on the inside. Definitely don’t judge a book by its surrounding covers. The hotel is very nice inside! Room was easy to keep cool and very clean. All the Staff were always very friendly, respectful, polite and helpful! My towels were replaced daily and trash taken out and room serviced. The breakfast was awesome! There was something for us all! My kids loved the pancake maker and the food taste great!! I didn’t like the parking. You just have to get there earlier than others to be able to get a good spot. It seemed like a lot of work trucks were taking up spots. I also didn’t like being locked out of my room for over 30 minutes. The key wouldn’t work when I returned from getting ice but front desk clerk was quick to jump in and help me. There just needs to be a better system for when the keypad dies and needs to be charged. A system could have been used to see how low the battery was or something to prevent it dying on me and locking me out. But that wouldn’t stop me from returning.

Clean rooms but was woke up at 630 am with two rings from room phone (had to be front desk), did not answer it. Then around 8am knocking loud on door saying house keeping even though had door hanger on knob saying no service. We are late sleepers so we cancelled our two night stay and went elsewhere the next nite. It’s the little things that matter. So 4 stars

When I checked in, I was immediately met with warmth and hospitality. The front desk personnel were amazing, and they even upgraded my room. It is hard to come by great customer service these days, so it was refreshing when I experienced that upon arrival. Also, my hotel room was very clean and the breakfast was decent. I highly recommend!

I don’t give 5 starts because the tv was really awful just 10 channels to watch no news and mostly sports .. a shower hat would be helpful.. I didn’t get the breakfast only coffee and was very good .. other then that was good ..very clean ..

This was a one night stay on our way to Cypress Gardens and then Charleston. Room was quiet, except for the loud air conditioning unit which we had to turn off. Room was clean and fairly spacious, breakfast was ok.

The hotel looked nice and very clean, I was most excited for breakfast to be honest, most hotel’s breakfast aren’t great but that’s where we can get our money’s worth. And I was shocked by the abundance of breakfast items to choose from. Had breakfast every morning I was there!

My only complaint was a group of people that completely took over the entire lobby dinning area. With liquor bottles stacked on the tables and loud, racial remarks being made. Not comfortable having my 3 young kids there wanting to make hot chocolate right beside all that .

Had a great stay and bed was very comfortable.

The hotel was very clean and had great amenities. I liked that their was pump hand soap and lotion at the sink and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. Our double queen room had a microwave, keurig coffee maker and fridge. The breakfast provided was delicious and they have a fresh ground coffee machine available at all hours. The hotel is close to many good restaurants and within walking distance to a Food Lion grocery store. The hotel staff was accommodating and very friendly.

Everything was lovely except for 3 nights we were never brought more toilet paper and they need to add shading to the windows in the breakfast dining area for the morning. The sun is quite strong and hurts your eyes when you sit down to eat.

Only complaint was the bed and pillows. Not comfortable.

When I first got to my room, someone had used the toilet and didn’t flush it. Yuck. Then I had somebody knocking on my door who wouldn’t leave, when I tried to get the staff on the phone to come down and get the guy to leave, it took her a minute to take me seriously. The faucet in the bathroom is loose and doesn’t work well, the toilet doesn’t flush very well, the towels are thin and the bed not that comfortable. For $200+ a night, I expected better.

I reserved a 2 Queen bed room and was given a king and love seat pull out bed. Very uncomfortable. Was told I could cancel but there were no other rooms in the area available. Location felt dirty and room was sub par

The bed was so uncomfortable. It has ridges right where your midback is. It sunk inward. I slept about one hour. Every move it made a squeaky noise . I didn’t get any rest before my flight today’s. I had to get maintenance soon after my arrival because air conditioner wasn’t working. Maintenance man was prompt and fixed it but there was a delay in cooling and getting comfortable. I was going to do room service but I didn’t find anything on menu except a dinner entree and no other items such as beverage, dessert. I got a sandwich from gift shop but there were no condiments. Also i really would have liked a coca-cola and neither Coke or Pepsi’s available. Such a beautiful hotel upon arrival but a major disappointment for a restful and relaxing stay.

Room was clean. Toilet was a little wonky. I tried to get another room, but the hotel was full and I didn’t want to go to another hotel. So, I had to lift the back of the toilet and just finger touched the mechanism to get the toilet tank to Refill. Air-conditioning worked, but not in the ways of dehumidification. I had to keep the room really cold so that I wasn’t too sticky. Personnel were courteous and professional. Had some noisy neighbors, but they tone it down by midnight and other guests were not aware that their door slam at 6 AM and beyond. Breakfast offerings were pretty decent. Continental breakfast plus hot offerings.

As a former housekeeper I must say the room was very clean just some minor dust issues. Mattress could be rotated as the middle was kinda of saggy. But otherwise I will be back again. It is a very good hotel

The customer service was great. She was friendly and receptive. The hotel was completely booked. Upon entering my room it appeared to be nice and clean. Unfortunately, there as a dirty wash cloth left on the bathroom sink with tiny hairs around it. There was hair and soap/shampoo left in the shower on the floor and wall. The TV was glitchy as well.

The only complaint i have is i could hear the music they play outside at the entrance to the lobby all night because my room was in the front of the hotel next to the lobby. They should turn the outdoor music off or least down at a certain time at night. Other than that,i enjoyed my stay& will stay there again.

Overall, a very good property. Clean, spacious rooms. Would come back.

Friendly, professional, efficient and helpful staff

Was nice and clean, bathroom was great, and they don’t use cheap hotel soap they provide name brand. Just a random plus. They have breakfast until 10 which was nice. The bed was so so comfortable and not cheap pillows. I’d stay there again.

This time I had an older room that had a musty smell. The worst was the tv remote. It was filthy. I refused to even turn it on with bare hands.

The room had 2 TVs divided by a breeze way with a desk, couch, and chair on one side and 2 queen beds on the other side. We loved the layout of the room and the shower was really nice. The room had a microwave, Kerig and small refrigerator, however, could not get the kerig to work. Good news though they serve coffe all day downstairs. The complimentary breakfast was like a buffet which was really nice. My biggest complaints are the beds are so soft we had to each pick a bed and lay diagonally. One other couple complained that there beds were too lumpy. The couch was also a disappointment because it was low to the ground cushions sunk bad while sitting.

The staff were professional and friendly.
