Reviews
The hotel is generally perceived as old, run-down, and in need of updates. Guests frequently complain about cleanliness issues, uncomfortable beds, and poor customer service. However, the location is often praised for its convenience and proximity to downtown Steamboat Springs.

When I checked in the lady at the front desk was helping another customer. He said he needed two beds instead of one. She said “you made the reservation. That’s your fault.“ She was very rude. When I finally got into my room, the advertising photos did not match the room. They were deceiving. The room was dirty. There was hair all over the shower, the shower curtain was at least 6 inches too long making it a fall hazard, especially while in the shower. It was still wet from the previous person and had mold. I could not shower. When I took off my shoes and socks, my feet became dirty from the floor. I then saw a spider by the refrigerator, another spider by the bed that went into the headboard, an earwig crawled under the bed, and a couple flying bugs. I could not sleep there. I had to leave. I ended up cutting my getaway short and drove four hours home. I do not recommend this property. They need to get an exterminator, clean, fix the windows and paint. Basic maintenance in my opinion. It says it was renovated and that had to have been in the 90s. I am so disappointed with my experience. It ruined my getaway.

This place is pretty gross
- 5/5
It is right in downtown, renovation is a nice way to revitalize an older property. Great price for location
- 5/5
The shower curtain did not extend down far enough to keep water in. Lots of water got out to the floor.
- 5/5
Recently remodeled rooms are clean and comfortable with all the basics you need.
- 5/5
Good value property at the edge of downtown Steamboat. Staff very friendly. Well maintained.
- 2/5
The staff is also the cleaning person it seems. Emails and signs up that they were shortening their hours that day so to call the number if you needed something. The bed was so uncomfortable. The room just did not sit well with me. The location is good, right across the street is part of the path for the Yampa river walk. I found the very sub standard for the price in particular. They’ve tried to kinda update it but it’s really just been kind of painted over with some cheap chairs put in.
- 5/5
Super cute and very comfy beds. Close to Downtown and shopping.
- 5/5
This was such a clean, user friendly, convenient place to stay.
- 5/5
Best shower pressure ever
- 5/5
This is a very nice budget hotel. Plenty of towels. Easy to use HVAC
- 5/5
Stayed at the Western Lodge for 1 night and it was everything as advertised with a helpful dose of great hospitality from Tammy at the front desk! Location is perfect, right on the strip, easy walking distance from everything you need, but the rooms inside are not noisy from the road (solid construction). The room we stayed in was well-appointed, clean and love having the hardwood floors instead of carpet. Highly suggest staying here, it's a renovated property that has a very helpful staff, is reasonably priced for the location and will definitely stay there again on the next trip to Steamboat.

We had a great time at Western Lodge! Holly was incredibly personable, kind and helpful. We plan to come back!

Air conditioning slow, parking really nice, staff were very friendly owner very strict, room was incredibly clean
- 5/5
This place was cool! From the outside, its going to look like one of those old two-story motels we've all seen but with an obvious coat of new paint on it. However, when you get inside, the entire interior has been be gutted and redone with modern fixtures and furniture. It was a super comfortable room to stay in and surprisingly sound proof. Given that Lincoln is maybe a 150 feet from the door, you couldn't hear the road at all except for when large semi's would be trying to pull away from the light. We would absolutely stay here again and are excited to check it out when Steamboat actually has snow again.
- 5/5
No frills, but clean and quite!
- 5/5
Great experience, we stayed for 2 nights
- 5/5
The staff truly love working there and love the place and feel so connected to it and the town. I’ve stayed many places in Steamboat over the years. Our family loves the town. We go at least 1-2x a year as my wife’s family used to have a place there for 20 years. This place is an absolute gem! Great walkability to everything and the free bus drops you off right outside. The access to skiing is superb with only a 15 min ride to the base. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I wish I didn’t for the only reason that I’d like it all to myself! I asked for towels, brought them in and told the lady at the desk, they were wet. I wanted to place them. Somewhere myself but she said “this is my job and I love it, hand them to me and I’ll take care of it. You’ll have fresh ones when you get back to your room later.” I can’t imagine better staff.
- 4/5
This is a good hotel in a very convient location on the main street of steamboat. Is is easy to walk to all of the local restaurants bars and shopping. This is a classic motel with functional rooms and some amenities. The convenience of parking your car directly outside your hotel door can be very handy.
- 5/5
Basic room, clean and well kept, great location.
- 5/5
Owner is super kind. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Clean affordable rooms and friendly staff. Well recommended.
- 4/5
Didn't ski. Didn't need A/C in March. Able to easily set heat.
- 5/5
For the price, the value, cleanliness, and room was exactly what we needed for a quick trip to Steamboat. We would stay here again!
- 5/5
Large, Clean, remodeled rooms with modern bathroom and shower and comphy beds and pillows. All you need. Close enough to walk to anything in downtown. Go to Creekside Cafe for breakfast 1/2 block away!
- 5/5
My stay was great. The hotel is recently renovated and everything was nice. The only thing that I feel could improve was the mattress. But the rooms are very comfortable and you can hardly hear noise from the outside. The hotel is close to all the restaurants, shops and Library and a beautiful walking path by the river. The Mountain was close by to get my ski days in. Over all my stay was excellent and I would definitely stay here again.
- 2.5/5
This was the grossest place we have ever stayed and we travel a lot. The floor and baseboards were covered in mud, dust and hair. The shower was moldy. Walls and doors were covered in dirty hand prints and who knows what else. There was dirt pretty much every where you looked… & don’t even get me started about underneath the beds. We live in Breckenridge and travel to Steamboat often to snowmobile and we have stayed at many other hotels in the area and know this is not normal. I sat in the car most of the time we were at the motel so I didn’t feel as dirty. I’m not a complainer, but this wasn’t ok. The road is also very noisy, but it would have been fine if it was clean. We were very disappointed and won’t be back.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and clean. The entire property was kept up well. Its within walking distance to many restraunts and a short drive to the ski slope.
- 4/5
Your property should be marketed as a motel and not “a lodge”. Lodges have common areas or lounges, your property has no amenities.
- 5/5
Extremely accommodating staff
- 5/5
Friendly, room just as advertised, great location.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, frindly staff right in the heart of the town. Great location.

Charging a resort fee when there are no amenities is ridiculous.

- 4/5
Clean room. Nice staff. Good location. Free parking.

Amazing hospitality!!!! Highly recommend.
- 2/5
Needs updating. Room was very dark.
- 5/5
Fantastic location to base ourselves during the winter carnival events!
- 5/5
Friendly check in, room was nice, close to everything, walking distance to anything
- 3/5
Great location and friendly staff. Close to downtown to walk to restaurants and get on bus stop for ski hill. The place was very dirty though, the bathroom completely disgusting with dirt and grime along the baseboards - in the bathroom and shower wall/floor. It was not clean, felt unsanitary. The photos sure fooled me with all the remodels and updates. Don’t fall for the aesthetics- the place was very dirty.

- 5/5
Very clean comfortable room with easy check in.
- 4/5
No breakfast provided. Location in town was ideal. free city bus stop only 1/2 block away provided transpo to mtn every 10 min ... much much easier than driving personal vehicle. location excellent for historic downtown area attractions/ restaurants, shops, etc. bedding was superior to local major hotel chains. Shower head and hot water availability was superior. Noise from other guests was minimal. Facility staff were responsive to all requests. prefer small coffee (4 cup) pot vs kurig coffee maker but ofc provided plenty of coffee/tea pods. facility might consider small bedside area rugs?
- 4/5
The room was clean and warm . Door lock needed service
- 5/5
Staff and room Great
- 5/5
always a great greeting, clean and cozy stay
- 4/5
Overall good.
- 4/5
Seem like took forever for our room to be ready was told by front desk only one housekeeping staff work in the whole property.
- 2.5/5
Bed and sheets were comfortable. Dog hair throughout the unit.
- 5/5
Great Stay
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Everything was great except for one thing, Room 1. Stay away from it. It’s right next to the road and I mean like 10 ft. Away from it. The snow plows start about 5 am and the screeching against the road wakes you up every 20 minutes. We had white noise on and it didn’t help a bit. Stay in any room that is off the road and you’ll probably be fine. We just got very unlucky with room 1.
- 4/5
Road noise was the only problem, location was great and room was nice!
- 4/5
The staff is extremely courteous and put in extra effort to meet our needs.
- 5/5
Clean, very nice, staff was friendly, it was quiet. It was really everything we wanted in a hotel. I am genuinely surprised (and delighted) it wasn't more expensive for what we go
- 4/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Super friendly staff, will definitely be back!
- 4/5
Nice renovations. Shower very nice.
- 5/5
The gal that checked us in was so nice and helped us with our parking. Couldn’t have been any easier!
- 5/5
The staff was great and the room clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Very Clean room. The rooms have recently been remodeled. Lots of pillows; The staff was very helpful, friendly and made our stay easy and welcoming.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly.
- 3/5
Friendly stuff, renovated bathroom, clean bed Old building with bag smell. Hardly working door locks. Not completely finished renovations, some furniture missing, safe is on the floor and missing. At night the heater was too noisy and we could hardly sleep. Too expensive for such low quality.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Bathroom a bit small but adequate. Shower was fantastic. Plenty towels for our stay. Bus stop was perfect for getting to ski resort
- 5/5
Clean room and great place to stay!
- 4/5
Great location.

The room was clean, the bed is COMFY, and the staff is incredible helpful and kind. Coffee machine, microwave, and fridge made our lives easier!

I enjoyed my stay at Western Lodge very much! The location is within walking distance to restaurants, taverns, shopping and the river walk. The shuttle to Strawberry Springs Hot Springs picked me up right at my door! The king-size bed was very, very comfortable. I will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Wish I would have known sooner, this property was renovated in 2024 and it shows. I will stay here every time I travel to Steamboat. Great place for dropping off or picking up a student going to CMC right up the hill. Great location to downtown.

This is a very basic motel. What was upsetting was they charged a $10 resort fee. I mean happy to pay a resort fee at a resort but there are zero amenities here. How do they justify charging a resort fee??
- 4.5/5
Took some to figure out the heat/air-conditioning unit
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3.5/5
The location and bed were comfy We were on the 1st floor room 5 and it was very noisy since there was recycle bins right by our window. Also, the room could have been cleaner.
- 5/5
As mentioned before the outside still looks dated but the rooms themselves have been remodeled and are very nice.
- 5/5
The place had a refrigerator and the shower was remodeled nicely. The bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean room. Great boutique motel to rest your head on. Nice accommodations
- 4/5
It was convenient.
- 2/5
Room assignments were not generous
- 5/5
I’ll admit I was skeptical pulling into the parking lot, but the room was clean, up to date and cozy. Best shower pressure ever. Would stay here again.
- 2/5
Basic room that should be updated.
- 5/5
HVAC was fine
- 4/5
They can improve on the amenities. A coffee pot in the room would be nice or coffee in the lobby. The krueg is a nice addition but you only get one 8oz cup of coffee so more pods maybe? There could also be some kind of a table in the rooms by the bathroom and extra blankets would be nice. Overall it is a nice hotel in a very nice location
- 4/5
It was fine
- 5/5
The owner/hosts we interacted with were all extremely friendly and went out of their way to provide suggestions of things to see and do. The place itself is in a great location, just separated enough from the resort properties to avoid the craziness but still only a short drive away. 10/10 will be staying here again the next time I visit Steamboat.
- 5/5
It's an old hotel, but it is clean and newly remodeled. And in a great location for downtown.
- 5/5
Nice rooms and we appreciated the whole experience.
- 3/5
Very noisey truck traffic. Sub par remodel. Brown residue on bathroom wall, poop?
- 5/5
All was good.
- 4/5
Super friendly and accommodating staff. Pet-friendly for a fee. Great value. Close and convenient location to access Lincoln Ave and Yampa River. Shower was a bit finicky (temperature fluctuation between lukewarm and very hot)
- 5/5
Nice remodel, no frills but awesome location and great staff. Enjoyed it
- 4/5
Good property
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay! Room was clean and so comfortable! The upgrades to this place are really great...modern, clean lines...like new!!
- 5/5
Modern Fitouts and very functional
- 5/5
Overall a very pleasant experience. Friendly staff and room was clean and comfortable.
- 3.5/5
Great location, good travel spot for dogs Small for price, needs update
- 5/5
Nice size room. Nice bed. Quiet. Walkable to everything we needed. Hot shower with awesome water pressure. Great staff. Clean. Would definitely stay again. Great price. Get the front of the property looking better, you will have a 10/10 property. The property had No Vacancy the Monday/Tuesday night we were there, So book in advance. Eat at The Laundry around the corner. Win Win.
- 4.5/5
Newly renovated, well insulated from adjacent road noise. The shower curtain/half-glass partition is a bit annoying.
- 5/5
After camping for 5 days, this was a little oasis in the mountains! Super comfy bed and a hot shower was much appreciated.
- 5/5
Great location. Nice lil motel.
- 5/5
Clean room, extremely comfortable beds! Easy walking distance to restaurants & shopping!!!
- 4/5
Updated older motor inn, clean, comfortable, reasonable, friendly.
- 3/5
Our room was not clean. The floor felt like it was covered in dirt and sand. We found a full marijuana gummy tin and used kleenex under the beds. Our window that opened to the alley had been left unlocked. The alley area was very unkept and overgrown. The safe in the room is just sitting on the floor, so could easily be carried off (it's not heavy). There are no closet doors so the refrigerator, with the microwave on top of it, is sitting in the closet. The beds were nice, clean, and comfortable. The outside of the property does need to be cleaned up. . Overall, I felt it is very overpriced for the type/style and amenities.
- 5/5
Great updated space, great location, pet friendly and friendly staff
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Just remodeled and a really beautiful place. Will Be staying again
- 4/5
I liked that the property was in town, and we could walk everywhere. I didn't like the late check in at 4:00. Wished that it could have been at 2:00. four is just late in my opinion.
- 4/5
Nice renovated rooms
- 5/5
It’s kind of strange that after 8 o’clock, you can’t find anybody
- 5/5
great reno on a traditional "motor lodge"
- 4/5
Clean, comfy, and convenient. Everything we needed.
- 5/5
Awesome location, amazing staff, super clean and comfy!
- 5/5
Very nice updated hotel in downtown Steamboat. very close to shops and restaurants. Excellent location and the price was very reasonable. I would stay there again.
- 4/5
Great location and the staff was helpful and kind.
- 5/5
The hotel could use some hanging flower baskets and clean up the grass area in the center of the parking lot. It would make a HUGE difference in its appearance. The staff was EXCELLENT and even at one point, asked if I was okay because my allergies were causing my nose to run. They listened when I asked questions, and assisted when I need help. I would definitely stay here again!
- 4.5/5
Location, cleanliness, parking, bed mattress. Size of shower, outside trash receptacle, large truck parking
- 4/5
Great location, walking distance to loads of venues, bars and restaurants. Great staff and spacious rooms with comfy beds and updated bathrooms. Need to improve the landscaping/ common area.
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean and remarkably comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
I had the pleasant occasion to stay at the Western hotel. Although very old everything is completely remodeled and sparkly new. Cannot wait to come back. Thank you so very much beautiful place.
- 5/5
My stay at the Western Lodge was perfect for a weekend trip to Steamboat Springs for a wedding. Room was clean, quiet and spacious. Concierge was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Super helpful front desk assistant
- 3/5
The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable, but someone opened our door around 8:30am. The only reason why they didn’t open the door all the way is because we had the chain latched on the door.

Room was lovely, spacious and clean. Definite highlight was the water pressure!! A nice place to stop on the road.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing
- 4/5
It's good
- 5/5
Close to shopping and restaurants The circle in front needs work
- 3/5
The air conditioner worked well. The bed was well used, soft and had permanent indentations. Upon entering the smell of a cleaner (Pine Sol?) was overwhelming. The windows and doors were old and there was a lot of street noise in the room.
- 4/5
Everything was good except the room wasn’t ready for an early arrival even though we were told they could accommodate us and then check in person left work without informing her replacement that we were waiting. As a result, the room wasn’t ready until almost an hour after normal check in. Not a good first impression. However, the replacement staff person was exceptional. I think her name is Kennedy.
- 3/5
The room has charm. The parking lot was the location of barbecues, picnics, and alcohol consumption. I felt that was why the staff and signage told me the hotel takes no responsibility for damages to autos. but when they later charged $10, I did not understand why.
- 4/5
I felt very safe here. It was so convenient to restaurants, bars and shopping. The free bus stop was very close as well. I was able to take the bus to the main ski resort area for entertainment too. The room was nice for an older motel that got a basic refresh. I didn't like the tv system. Too many chanels i would never watch and couldn't find channels I wanted to watch. The bed was very comfortable. The a/c worked well too. The shower had amazingly water pressure from the rain showerhead. The frig was cold and the microwave was helpful. I would definitely stay again because the value for the price was good. There are many other options, but this was a good motel for my budget.
- 2/5
Room was dirty and run down looking. Disappointed.
- 5/5
We were pleasantly surprised how nice our room was , the towels were thick and smelled clean, the bed linens soft and clean , we appreciated the tile floor since hotel is pet friendly, mini fridge (no freezer) , microwave, and a small Keurig maker. We were worried of the traffic noise (right on Lincoln) but once the front door shut, it was peacefully quiet. The room was clean and modern decor. My only minor complaint would be the blackout shade in the bathroom area didn’t cover the window and the sun woke us earlier than we would have liked. We stayed two nights, and brought our dog. We would definitely recommend and would stay at the Western Lodge again .
- 5/5
Easy to park, very clean and lovely inside.
- 5/5
Door had trouble locking
- 5/5
Great staff! Love this place
- 5/5
The motel was clean and had everything you need for a great stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful in offering suggestions for dining and other current happenings in the area. We will definitely look to stay again.
- 5/5
Very happy !!
- 4/5
Nice. Dumpster in front not so good though.
- 5/5
The property was very nice. The room extremely clean and the bedding very comfortable. This Lodge was in a great location, safe and I would most definitely come and stay again. thank you!
- 3/5
Great location. Great bedding, sheets, air conditioning, and other comfort items Motel 6 but nice finishes
- 4/5
Found a wet, dirty washcloth in the bathroom. Nice sitting area outside with picnic tables.
- 5/5
Really good location. Convenient on property parking. Old school motel, but very nicely and recently remodeled. Room had everything we needed. Holly at the front desk had lots of great info and tips for things to do.
- 5/5
Good value for the location. Easy walking to everything
- 4.5/5
Quiet. Good location to walk to town or the path.
- 5/5
Staff seems very helpful and conscientious, room was clean and comfortable, and location was great for walking the shops/eateries, etc around Steamboat. Would stay here again, and recommend to others.
- 4/5
Perfect except we could not get the smart TV to do screen sharing.
- 5/5
Nice, older property that is well kept. Our room was neat and clean. And the shower -- of all things -- was amazing!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff person,,.made me feel welcomed,,room was clean,,and spacious,,nice quiet place!
- 5/5
Lovely place convenient to shops and restaurants. Everything was perfect!
- 5/5
Holly is lovely!
- 5/5
The Western Lodge hotel is a unique vintage hotel that has been renovated in fashion that preserves the original charm. Our room was very clean and extremely comfortable with a king bed and two club chairs. The bath had a large walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head and a sink area outside of the shower room. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to all of Steamboat’s shops and restaurants. The staff at property were amazing and provided tons of local information. We had one hiccup during our stay with dish TV service but the management made it right. We would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Clean and very friendly.
- 5/5
Great location! Staff was amazing!
- 5/5
We literally didn't move our car all weekend as we could walk to all of the downtown shops and restaurants. We'll gladly stay here again when we go to Steamboat!
- 4.5/5
Great location. 5 minutes walk to restaurants, shops etc in old town. Comfy beds, excellent shower and not too noisy. Great parking and wifi. One block to the river walk and kids park. could have been noisy if it was full. Only 5 guests so super quiet.
- 5/5
Holly is awesome. She is so kind and wants your stay to be the best experience.
- 5/5
Staff were great. We had a great time. It's an older property but it's been remodeled and was very convenient. We'll stay there again.
- 5/5
Super friendly the rooms are clean and updated.Great location is a walk to everything
- 5/5
Great place to stay in Steamboat! Love the style, comfortable bed and remodeled shower. The staff was exceptionally kind and gave us multiple suggestions for things to do. What made the stay for us was that they are dog friendly. Will definitely be staying again!
- 5/5
Old time motel, but with renovated updates. Staff was extremely helpful with suggestions for dining, shopping and things to do and explore.
- 5/5
An ice machine would be helpful.
- 4/5
It was a great place for me and my dog. They have a little grassy area right outside so it was super easy for early morning or later at night potty breaks. It's also a great location in walking distance to the river and middle of town. The bed and pillows were SUPER comfortable and I'm very picky. This is a new renovation and a few things are likely still on this list. The windows seemed thin and early morning road traffic was loud. There weren't shades on the window in the bathroom nook and the early morning sun woke me up. There wasn't a great space to work, but this wasn't a deal breaker for me.
- 5/5
This is a beautifuly renovated old lodge. It modern and nice inside. Bed is clean and comfortable. There is a mini fridge, a microwave and a cup coffee maker.
- 3/5
Floors were sticky and dirty.

We arrived at 8:03 after calling and informing the staff on duty that we going to arrive after hours. Staff stated that they would wait for us. When we arrived the lobby was unlocked and no one was there to service us. There was a sign that stated to call the number on file. We called multiple times and the phone just rang while we were in the lobby. After 35 mins later someone arrived. She was rude when we explained that we were waiting in the lobby for that long. She hands us a key and says that we are in one room and then stated that it was actually another room number. When we arrived to the room the key didn’t work, went to the other room she mentioned still didn’t work. We went back to the lobby and she stated that it was the right key, so she grabbed another key and went to the room. Sure enough the other key she grabbed when we went back was the correct one. Meanwhile she gave us the wrong key, she was irritated with us as if we were asking for too much. The whole interaction was as if staff was under the influence. When we arrived in the room, the shower floor was filthy and us being scared to complain again. I hope for the next visitors don’t have to deal with what we had to deal with. I will be contacting the owners regarding this.
- 4/5
Walkable to shopping and dining.
- 5/5
Great value for the ideal location in town. It is newly renovated & very clean. The staff is extremely friendly. The only drawback is the noise from the road and thin walls but that can’t really be helped in a historic building off the Main Street!
- 5/5
Staff very pleasant.
- 5/5
Love this place and new management. Remodeled and great place with a view of howlson Hill.
- 5/5
Great stay! Thank you!
- 4/5
looks old on outside, but very nice inside
- 5/5
In downtown
- 5/5
The staff are all SO FRIENDLY! We were made to feel right at home the minute we arrived. They really helped make the stay feel special, and we'll definitely stay at Western Lodge again next time we're in Steamboat.
- 4/5
Exactly as expected. The room was very nice and clean. The staff was super friendly and the location was excellent for downtown access.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Everything was new, comfortable, and convenient! The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great visit to Steamboat!
- 3/5
The gal who checked us in was very helful and deserves a raise! She was the best part of our stay. The place is kinda gorss, sheets were dirty and we were woken us at 545 am to trash company emptying out huge metal dumpster behind our room. Service was excellent! Very pricey for a low end hotel.
- 5/5
Property was very clean, staff was friendly, and great location! Would stay again.
- 5/5
Great place!
- 5/5
Renovation is awesome. New beds comfortable. Bus line to slopes very close! Tammy at front desk helpful!
- 5/5
I would definitely stay again! This place was excellent. Close to downtown, shopping, and easy access to take the free bus to the mountain. The staff was super friendly, kind, and helped us check in a little early due to our concert schedule. We will be back!
- 5/5

The bed was super comfortable and the front desk was also very helpful at giving information on the bus route that went to the ski area. Very friendly staff and convenient parking.

The biggest issue was upon check-in they said our room was taken by someone else. OK fine, put us in another room - we went around and around with the lady at the front desk - one room the door wouldn't open although it was clean, several rooms had no heat, on and on. They checked in other guests who arrived after us which was a bit frustrating too. We ended up just going to dinner, hoping they would have it sorted by the time we got back. They thankfully did, although they had to put us in two separate rooms they did eventually made it right. Just took entirely too long for them to sort out how to get us the room we paid for.

convenient, and when most of the town is outrageous on this place is still somewhat affordable

Property was clean, location near bus stop was convenient for free transportation to ski area, and cost was reasonable for Steamboat. Parking right next to room door was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot in downtown steamboat. Nice remodel.

I would say that they did a very admirable job upgrading a rustic property. Check-in was very pleasant. Inside the room feels every bit a modern motel and then some. The floors are a very nice faux wood, the countertops are a faux granite, and the shower is tiled. The bed in the king room has a pillow top mattress, which isn't the tempur-pedic I'm used to, but still very comfortable. The two easy chairs are very comfortable, clean, and supportive. The toilet wasn't the best. It's very cramped next to the shower and the toilet seat as a bit wobbly. But it was still clean and modern. The sink is one of the best features. A great faucet and basin. Plenty of countertop space. The temperature control in the room is top notch, with a modern system and remote control. Plenty of hooks in the room to hang your winter gear. Overall, I'd say it was a solid stay. It's right across the street from Seedz, which is an awesome vegan-friendly restaurant. Also be sure to check out the library across the street, which has a vegan-friendly cafe and a nice riverwalk.

Totally remodeled! Ignore any old reviews

Kind staff, clean and updated room, easy parking, right next to downtown

Heat barley worked and know one could help

Sadly when I checked in, they didn't have my reservation and the clerk seemed frazzled, even though I had emails from the hotel confirming my stay and "looking forward to my arrival." They were still able to get me a room but it took way too long time to check in after a long trip. Even at peak season the cost of this stay was not worth it!

Very comfortable basic but met all our needs in a new pretty room

Everything was great from check in to check out. The staff was outstanding!

This property is right on the main street of Steamboat Springs, near shopping and great restaurants. We could walk to everything. The free bus has a stop very near the lodge so the skiing is easy to access. The place is clean, fresh, and inviting. Out Keurig coffee machine wasn't working on the last day we were there, but the office also has a coffee machine so all was good. Thank you for helping to make our stay wonderful!

Great location, clean room and super friendly and helpful staff. Had an awesome time in steamboat staying here.

Noisy right off the main road. Hot water is sometimes an issue

The staff was friendly. Rooms were clean, but a bit stuffy and the walls seemed quite thin.

Holly was very helpful and explained everything at check in. We will definitely stay again!

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights while she attended the Winter Driving School. Initially, I planned to just stay one night but due to weather asked to extend by one night and the front desk made it happen quickly. The room is clean and updated with modern black/white theme, with coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Everything needed for a quick trip. Convenient to walk to everything in the town of SS.

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel! The location is right on the bus line to the mountain and within walking distance to everything downtown. Great value!

Staff was super helpful and room was updated and clean. No rug/matt by the door to wipe and keep boots on was inconvenient. A coffee table would also be a huge plus.

Great stay! Very friendly staff and clean room!

Only thing was the hot water pressure was very low, could not take a good shower. Staff and everything else was awesome, very kind and helpful.

Old fashion Wild West hotel! We picked this property with price and location in mind. The staff is super nice and got us anything we wanted or needed.
