    After checkout I was charged for poolside bistro purchases I didn’t make. Still waiting to get those charges reversed. I tried to eat at the onsite restaurant (Crooked Antler) and it was absolutely terrible (seriously DO NOT eat there). And when I checked in I thought I had paid an “all fees included” price only to find I was also REQUIRED to pay for parking at a minimum additional $25 per night. If it’s not optional that should be in the “all fees included” price. Lastly the front desk staff was just not engaging or friendly. I was supposed to stay two nights but the hotel was not enjoyable so I left after the first night. Won’t be going back.

    Nice room and friendly staff, although miscommunication about nearby restaurant availability and deposit required by the Hotel., Short restaurant hours, no pool facility due to construction and construction on site. The Hotel, not Booking.com, charged my credit card for a deposit of $50.00. When I requested a refund no one could help me receive a return of the funds that were taken from me.

    The pool is the best in Steamboat for lodging. It’s always so clean and classy. Always love waking up to the hot air balloon out our windows. ONLY thing I struggle with about The Steamboat Grand any time I stay there is getting my deposits back in a timely manner.

    Room did not get made up after a phone call and two opportunities. Coffee pot in room was broken. Water pressure and temperature variations in shower were bad. Sounded like someone was drilling in the room next door.

    The pool wasn’t open on day one, which I wasn’t made aware of until after the deadline to cancel. And then it didn’t open on day two until the afternoon. That was a bummer.

    I had booked a King room with jet tub and balcony and was placed in the furthest hall in a corner on the second floor where you have to walk forever to get to and where there were rooms with conjoined doors. It had its own seperate door for 4 hotel rooms and was excluded from the main part of the hotel. We could hear yelling from the guys next door like they were in the room with us. The room was also not cleaned well. There were rings from drinks on night stands, toothpaste on fronts of bathroom cupboards as well as hair on bathtub and pink mold in the jets and filter of the tub. My boyfriend asked the front desk to move us and they at first acted like there was nothing that could be done besides ask the neighbors to be quiet, which we didn't want done because we didn't want issues with our neighbors. They then agreed to move us to another bigger room on the third floor. As we were walking to our room the halls were full of people drinking alcohol and going from hotel door to door partying and yelling. We walked in our room and there were spills of alcohol or something sticky as soon as you enter the door. We didn't have a balcony like I had payed for nor did we have a King bed. I believe it was a full. Rooms are not very clean for being a 4 star hotel. Ive worked at hotels so the attention to detail should be better in my opinion. I told the front desk about our issues and she said they cant really do much about people making noise but they would address the housekeeping.

    The Steamboat Grand is a short walk across the street into the resort village. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and friendly. I enjoyed the fireplace and balcony in our room, and my partner enjoyed the tub. The free shuttle service to get around town and convenient businesses attached to the hotel (restaurants, bodega, ski rentals) are great. The lobby clothing store had some solid deals. We stayed for 7 nights. Our first room smelled like a wet ashtray but thankfully we were given a new room after being forced to spend one smelly night in the bad one (again, the staff is wonderful and accomodating). Rooms are a bit small. Terrible cocktails at the bar, unfortunately. They really need to hire a mixologist and get a proper cocktail program going. Food and line speed in the convenience store could be a lot faster. Coffee there is so-so. The ski rental shop inside the hotel has strange and unhelpful hours, didn't have much of a choice than to go elsewhere for demos.

    Everything was top notch, and great. One thing that could’ve been better was our room was right by the pool area, which had people there until 10 while that was according to your policy and rules. It was very noisy for us who had a very early flight and some early mornings that made our sleep and rest not as comfortable as it could’ve been the rest of the hotel was fabulous.

    Hello, I‘ve stayed here a couple times before, the grand is very nice. I like the location the pool area and the restaurant. When I was looking to book,I used the steamboat resort website and it showed no rooms available, so I had to go thru booking .com. I asked for an early check which they did. However the rooms I get are facing the mountain and in the past they have given us those rooms. I called and asked they said they could not do it. Then we also book our ski thru the ski butler inside the hotel. It was a mission we were over charged the lady helping was kinda of rude. Gave us either to big or to small boots, we had to waste most of our first ski day finding where to go to exchange them. The person I reserved at steamboat resort had all our information incorrect and had over charged us for our boots ski helmets rentals. On top of that our Ikon tickets never were mailed so we had to also waste time going to the office to get them. That took most of our first day getting it straighten out. My sister in law had to change her boots 3 times and my husband and my self had to changed them 2 times. And why did you stop serving breakfast it was delicious we so looked forward to it.

    Location was good and ski valet! Our room keys were given to us and when we went to our room housekeeping was still cleaning. Had to go back down and wait…felt like they could have comped us a drink or breakfast for the inconvenience. Rooms were spacious but very basic and slightly sterile. I probably would look elsewhere if we decide to return to Steamboat. Staff were pleasant and professional.

    Highly recommend this hotel. Great staff and amenities. Front desk was courteous and took time to explain everything. Bell men were all great, helped with valet few times a day and heavy bags. Ski valet and storage at resort was a real plus. Towel service for gym, spa and pool were a real plus as well.

    Read the details of your room. Especially if you're getting a "deal". Buyer beware! They use generic pictures that could be your room or not. For reference, we stayed at the Grand a few years ago and had a much nicer room that looked just like the pictures we saw on the website when choosing the room this time. We didn't have a refrigerator or a desk like area. Nowhere to sit except on the bed, on the balcony or a narrow bench at the end of the bed. We ended up using the bench to set our suitcases on. There wasn't an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Even Motel 8 has an exhaust fan... The closet wasn't wide enough to hang clothes in. All hanging clothes had to hang a bit sideways. (not a super big deal) I did ask about the fridge, desk and exhaust fan. I was told the central air would exhaust the bathroom. They didn't have anything to say about the room pictures showing a desk and refrigerator. Just shrugged her shoulders. I only gave 3 stars for cleanliness because not everything was clean. I took pictures of the corners of the shower and corners under the sink and near the toilet. The baseboards were dusty and by moving the bench we could see that vacuuming doesn't happen often under the furniture.

    Very cozy and clean. We hiked in the morning to early afternoon and were able to relax in the super comfortable and well maintained room. Since we hike, it was nice to have a laundry conveniently located at Steamboat Grand!

    We really enjoyed the staff and the updated rooms, but for off season and the price it was expensive, with limited amenities. I understand off season means updates, construction and limited amenities but the price should reflect that. Also, in the off season food should be discounted more, or at least offer a cheaper breakfast.

    The hotel is very big lots of places ti sit and enjoy the outside views. Very close to main street, grocery stores and restaurants. The room was very clean and had a full kitchen, great ammenity. The pool and hot looked beautiful when lit up at night., very enjoyable for a swim and then a dip in the hot tub even when the outside temps drop. Would recommend no throw pillows on bed and couch bed and no decorative half throw thing on the bed. I put them on the floor when slepping and room was made up, which i was very appreciative of but the pillows and throw were put back on the bed and couch bed. I know they were not washed a n d probably not wahed inbetween guests. I find this unsanitary. Please rethink this practice. I persnally do not like decorative pillows or half throws for this reason and the bed snd couch bed do not need it gor ascetics. The main restaurant could offer different food. My husband and I are not picky eaters and we chose to go elsewhere. Other than these items listed we loved our stay and will stsy again and bring family members next time.

    Place was nice overall. Be aware if you book through a 3rd party site like Hotels.com, Expedia, etc they will not give you a receipt for your stay - not even via email. We were told it wasn’t possible. Not a fan of this policy and I haven’t encountered it at any other hotels or resorts.

    I was really surprised that parking was not free. Twenty five dollars a day is ridiculous, especially with what we paid for the room. The couches were not comfortable either. I understand trying to get furniture that would be easy to keep clean, but i felt like it was outdoor furniture. Not sure if we would stay again.

    The thing that impressed me the most was the friendliness of every staff member we encountered during our stay. Never experienced that before at a resort. We stayed in a mini suite which overlooked the pool and mountains. Great view! Very comfortable for 3 people especially having 2 full bathrooms. This is a great property and highly recommend. Would definitely go back. The only minor issue is the lack of a grab bar in the shower/tub and not having a slip-resistance material applied to bottom of tub. Taking care of this would help older guests such as myself.

    The hotel is right at the base of the mountain so ease of access to the resort is right there. Town is only minutes away and there are plenty of shuttles to get you around town. The staff here are exceptional. While the building is older, it's clean and comfortable with a hospitable feel.

    The location is perfect, with beautiful mountain views and easy access to everything in Steamboat. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the pool and hot tubs were a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. We especially want to thank the amazing staff who made our stay feel so welcoming. Joel at dinner made every meal feel special, Travis at the pool was kind and attentive, and Samara and Will at the front desk and concierge went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. It truly made a difference in our stay. We loved every moment at the Steamboat Grand and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Steamboat Springs. Thank you for a beautiful stay!

    A very nice older property. Nice pool and spa area. Construction going on right outside our room was noisy and our room was quite small, outdated and an odd configuration. I’m not sure why we were given a room at the farthest end of the hotel adjacent to construction when there were few guests. Staff and restaurant were very nice.

    The bed & pillows were so hard, I woke up the next day with severe back and neck pain which lasted all weekend. The sheets were scratchy and there really wasn't a blanket, I had to ask for a comforter. They did supply me with a microwave though. The fridge was very small & ended up freezing my cottage cheese & a couple other things. The tv was about a 22" - very small. The shower was a 3x3 square box & dim, but then the tub was good. The didn't see a hair dryer, but then I had brought my own. I remembered seeing that free breakfasts were included, when I asked about it, they said it wasn't & asked where I had seen that. I went back to my reservation and couldn't see it anymore. I went down to pool area, but there were wasn't an adult-only hot tub & the water wasn't that warm. The one night I went down to The Cabin restaurant to have dinner, I ordered a cup of potato soup and charcuterie board. The soup was instant & it didn't even melt the butter - the bartender didn't know how to make a Long Island Ice Tea correctly. Housekeeping didn't make the bed the 1st day-just pulled up the cover on one side. Overall, just a very poor stay - had better at LaQuinta.

    We got a condo room and it was great. We went during mud season because of smaller crowds. Many of the amenities were closed down, but there was no indication on the website or anywhere else that anything was closed. I assumed the standard amenities would be included, but only the pool and fitness center was open. The desk staff wasn’t very attentive, but the cleaning staff was amazing.

    It was a nice place to stay, I think the only complaint I have is that if you do valet parking, there isn't a valet there half the time, you either have to walk over to the front desk to ask for someone, or you have to give your keys to the front desk because no one is around. Other than that, nice place.

    This hotel is in need of a refresh. Rooms are very dated amd there are signs of wear and tear in most of the common areas. When booking a room be sure to ask if it is near the construction site as they are building a new wing and it blocked our mountain view and woke us every morning. Only real highlight was the large hot tubs and heated pool post ski. Single rooms should cost about $400 not $1000.

    Conveniently located just a short walk to both gondolas at Steamboat, the Grand was a great stay for our family’s ski trip. I would shop it against the Sheraton next door for a price comparison as we had friends staying there and it was surprisingly upscale and closer to the slopes.

    We ended up having to spend an extra night in Steamboat so stayed at the Grand. I was so shocked at how old this place was. My bed was broken, the drain in the shower didn't drain properly, it was a mess. We had stayed at two other properties for half the price that were a million times better. The beds at the other properties were comfortable with newer sheets and pillows. The layout of the Grand was tiny and there were minimal extra's in the room. The blinds weren't even measured to fit. The other places we stayed in also had great kitchenettes where as the grand had nothing. I wouldn't normally write a review like this but when you spend this much and the other hotels for half the prices exceed it, that's a concern. Also, I did mention this to the front desk and nothing was done to compensate for the condition of the room. They could even do with replacing the toilet seat to a non-slamming one, just minor investments would make it even better.

    This property is close to the ski slopes, and close to the ski village. They have a shuttle service that will take you to a grocery store, liquor store, or just general shopping in the downtown area. This is our second time to stay there, and will continue to stay there in the future.

    The place is great - but very large - we were on the wing furthest away from Gondola Square - so quite a walk to get to the ski area - fortunately there is ski storage right at the mountain base so no need to carry all the gear. Great spot overall.

    We love staying at the Steamboat Grand! The location is fantastic to walk to the mountain and village, and we love the pool options and rooms are great. Only downside is having to pay extra for parking, and we haven’t really thought that the restaurant is that great, but plenty of great food options in the village or downtown. Have stayed for two years in a row now and will likely be back next year!

    Found what appears to be a mouse chip on the dining table. Also found some suspicious white stains on a maroon chair in room 621. Finally there was a long brown hair on top of the toilet. It was pretty gross.

    Went for the weekend with my fiancé, get to hotel, no one to help greet, or help with bags which is totally fine. Paid for valet service, which I had to go and retrieve my car multiple times because they were too “busy”. The hotel room was nice, until we drew a bath and the water was yellow/green and looked like pee dirty water. Once we saw that, we started the sink and the water was the same there. We brought it to their attention bc I work in the same industry and they claimed it was bc the pipes haven’t been run in a while which seemed crazy. They offered to refund some for the nights and upon checking out, nothing was compensated and they claimed that housekeeping cleaned the pipes. But we missed out of two nights bc of dirty water in the bath and sink. And lack of help with valet and bell service for a high end hotel was disappointing for our first time in steamboat. For the price of the hotel. Look elsewhere

    Great location. Hotel staff were amazing and accommodated every any concern we had. Bellman were awesome; very friendly, helpful w the shuttle and good guys. Cleaning staff didn’t come the first day, second day they didn’t leave towels or coffee, third day they came at 8am (which was super annoying for us relaxing), the coffee pot in the room had a used coffee filter that never got cleaned out while we were there and was there prior to us getting our room. The pool and hot tube was fun.

    The property was great, the check-in was easy. They have a valet option as well as a shuttle service, however the valet and the shuttle driver are the same person so it makes it a little difficult to get your vehicle when they are out making a shuttle run, especially in the evening.     My patio door wouldn’t shut/seal properly so the road noise was very loud coming through the gap. Didn’t sleep well. Also was an adjoining room so I heard the noise from the other room. If your a light sleeper be aware of these things. Other than noise while sleeping everything else was good.

    The Steamboat Grand is a great place to stay for its close location from the town, for the room quality, and the amenities like the 2 hot tubs and pool. The room (2 queen beds) was clean, roomy, and adequate for our 2 night pre-ski season stay. We loved the large size of the 2 hot tubs and the vastness of the pool area. But, it was the customer service that was most outstanding and impressive. At check-in, no time was wasted by the friendly concierge in guiding me from the curb to the front desk. The front desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming and had our room ready early in the day, which was a bonus since we had arrived early after a long drive to Steamboat Springs. In the hallways, we were always greeted with kindness by passing staff. But, the dining room servers were the ones who stood out the most with their hospitality, kindness, and distinctively welcoming and positive attitudes. At all of our meals, servers Jamie and Caleigh were especially super attentive and took great care of us. Their customer service reflect great credit upon themselves and the hotel staff as a whole. We felt more motivated to eat in instead of eating outside the hotel, even with the limited summer menu. The bar drinks were top notch and decently priced. The service desk to check-in to the pool area was quick, efficient, and simple. Those attendants were super nice and helpful too. In short, the customer service was awesome and made quite a lasting impression with us.

    I've been staying in our family home in Steamboat for 40 years. Because of special circumstances we needed to stay in a hotel for two days. Knowing every nook and cranny of Steamboat we could not have been more impressed with the Steamboat Grand. The room was huge, completely accommodating and more than we could've asked for at this price point. It was only two of us but absolutely would return with two college kids and even friends. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was huge. The fireplace and view were perfect reminders of the beauty of Steamboat on a chilly fall night. Having "Market" and restaurant/bar on site is great. The pool and gym are terrific and the location can't be beat. Staff was lovely. If ever another opportunity we would certainly stay again.
