Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. The location is also appreciated, although some guests note it is not within walking distance to downtown. However, the hotel's restaurant receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the food and service, while others find it overpriced and slow. The lack of free breakfast is also a common complaint.
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- No free breakfast
- Restaurant is overpriced and service can be slow

Robert at the Front Desk was friendly and helpful. He is a great ambassador for your Holiday Inn. The restaurant/bar was very nice and we sat outside and had dinner which was very good.
- 5/5
We had breakfast in the restaurant, which was deserted (except for us) at around 10:30 when we went in. I had avocado toast with greens on top, and it was great! However, I recommend telling people what kind of greens you're using. The photos in the restaurant are really interesting!
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and updated, staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were awesome. We didn't even check out the indoor pool because the weather was fantastic 😊 The restaurant was pretty good and they had live entertainment outside where we ate on the patio. Our server was great but I didn't get her name.
- 4/5
We didn't try the restaurant, in part, because it did not seem inviting. However, my biggest issue with the hotel was the pet policy. The hotel allows dogs for a fee, but the policy seems hostile. The dog can't walk on the premises, can't be left in the room, or be on the patio area, which was another reason we couldn't even enjoy a drink outside. We have travelled with our dog for 10 years and have never had a complaint. Some hotels--including very high-end ones-- have given our dog bowls, treats, and toys. This hotel made it hard for us to enjoy our trip. We couldn't even go out to dinner and had to eat takeout the whole time. I understand that they have had bad experiences with some dog owners, but don't punish everyone. Also, explain your pet policy on your website, so dog owners know what militant restrictions they are signing up for ahead of time.

Outdoor pool was nice! It is completely ridiculous to pay for parking when you are 3 miles from downtown Steamboat and there is nothing of value within walking distance!
- 5/5
The front desk Robert was really friendly and made our stay more enjoyable. The gym and the pools are nice and the restaurant is a nice convenience The outfit pool hours really wanted to relax and watch the stars
- 4/5
The breakfast area, which may / may not be included with your room was very poorly staffed and the food was disappointing
- 1.5/5
There is no free breakfast. Just a discount There was an additional $12/day charge for parking. Maid ignored the "do not disturb" sign and knocked on my door until I answered. I think she wanted me to sign a sheet but didn't have a pen. I can't be sure what she wanted as she didn't speak English. I was sleeping when she knocked and woke me up. I was confused. This really bothered me. The next day, they did not clean. I did not hang the "do not disturb" sign. Lastly, there was a dead roach outside my door for two days.

This property was just OK. It was clean and fairly quiet but had no free breakfast and had to pay $12 for surface parking at the hotel that I’ve already paid for. Not happy with that! The hotel has

Parking fee of 12 dollars is outrageous considering it was off season and there were only 6 cars in the lot a pure money grab. Also, the pet fee was 50 dollars not the 35 listed with the third party booker. In addition the first room we were sent to smelled like vomit and had a.air purifier blasting away.
- 2/5
This hotel charged me for something unknown with no explanation. I did not find out about this charge untill days later. So in booking this hotel you should add several dollars to the room price.
- 5/5
Very clean place to stay! Hot tub was great.
- 3/5
Sheets and pillow cases were dirty. Some dirty pool towels. There was no working fan in the bathroom, which made the room humid. People were nice.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 4/5
$12.00 a day for parking is totally unexceptional and greedy.
- 5/5
Excellent room and amenities for the price.
- 5/5
Charged $12 a day for parking was unexpected.
- 5/5
The entire staff was incredible and it was nice having a restaurant attached to the hotel!
- 4/5
Bed was comfortable and clean. I liked that I could open the window to get fresh air while sleeping. WIFI was very poor in the room. No lights switches by bed to control lights. Shower door kept slinding open during shower. Sink was partially clogged and the water drained slowly.
- 4/5
The restaurant was terrible, we that breakfast was included. It wasn’t, the menu was terrible and small and the prices were high. The hotel itself was great, hot tub and pool were clean and fun.
- 3/5
We stayed there and check out early o take a tour, leaving the car in parking lot for two hours, I wanted to use the restroom once we get back but they said the bathroom will open at 3 pm, what a lame excuse, I didn’t ask to go back to the room just the the public restroom in the first floor
- 4/5
Clean rooms uncomfortable beds. Harrison’s restaurant on site was amazing. Food was great and service second to none
- 5/5
Robert was great
- 5/5
The restaurant was clean, staff was really friendly. Would stay there again.
- 4/5
We stayed for 2 nights but the room was not cleaned because it was weekend. We asked but was not cleaned
- 5/5
Great location and staff.
- 1/5
I called the front desk thinking they’d at least acknowledge it, and instead got a pretty dismissive response. The guy said, “What do you want? They need to clean the rooms.” No apology, no attempt to fix anything. Just attitude. After that, I called the corporate line and still haven’t heard anything back. Between being woken up that early by staff, the noise, and how it was handled, this really missed the mark. I’ve asked for a full refund because this wasn’t even close to what you expect from a hotel stay. Would not stay here again.
- 4/5
Room and Inn were pleasant. Not high end but good value for money. My only suggestion is for better towels in the bathroom and pool area. They were flimsy.
- 5/5
The facility is good and the staff is very helpful to share phone charging with me.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
Very attentative staff. Resturant was average and service was attentive but inexperienced. Overall very good and i would absolutely stay there again
- 5/5
Loved the dedicated hotel shuttle to the mountain!
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and staff were friendly. The location was perfect and close to all the activities we wanted to do. Shuttles we took to were promptly and made ever so convenient.
- 4/5
Overall, was a great experience. Great that they have restaurant (not the best service). The service at the restaurant.

- 3/5
When I booked breakfast was included, upon arrival breakfast was an extra charge as was parking. I felt like I was nickeled and dimed and deceived, price didn’t match the hotel.
- 5/5
Clean and easy. Will stay again!

Great set up for families with the single bed with a trundle for kids

Clean room, comfortable bed, amazing staff
- 4/5
Clean room and parking lot, pool area inside and out well taken care of. Front desk staff were friendly
- 1/5
Horrible restaurant, restaurant staff, and food. Disgusting. Dog barked for ) hours and staff wouldn’t even come see what room it was. Beds were nice.
- 5/5
Friendly and very helpful staff many of whom have been there for a long time. The food choice in the restaurant could be more healthy.
- 4/5
The room was lovely. Great view. Very clean and modern. Staff were a mixed bag. Some (Chris) were extremely helpful and welcoming. Others, not so much. The shuttle to the mountain was a real bonus and very efficient.
- 5/5
Great service from the front desk, helpful staff (shout out to Robert), clean and spacious rooms and nice amenities.
- 5/5
Th staff was outstanding for my young children and family.
- 5/5
Very clean.. nice restaurant/ bar
- 2/5
Desk staff refused to clean room everyday. Got belligerent when I asked to have my room cleaned everyday. Feel like room was not maintained. Hotel not in good repair. Grossly over priced for the condition of the hotel. Water damage everywhere. Simply put old and run down.
- 3/5
I never stayed there due to weather flight cancellations on the nationwide level. I called 1/24/26 (original arrival) to notify the hotel that I would not be arriving. Robert at the hotel (who was really great) notified me that they would address it when I arrived on the rescheduled date of 1/25/26. Well this flight got delayed to the next day 1/26/25 and called the hotel a 2nd time where Robert was (again) awesome! At this point I had to cancel the whole trip. Robert mentioned for me to call the manager as he explained my predicament. I did call when I returned home (1/27/26) and was just looking to reschedule the dates ... NOT looking for a refund. I was told this was not possible as because I was charged as "checked-in" on 1/24 and 1/25 when I was clearly stuck in both Austin + Denver airport. I was given a refund for 3 out of 5 days but still confused about why I was charged for 2 nights. All I wanted was to reschedule the dates (no refund) and would still do so if possible. Thank you!

Above and beyond customer service, clean, functional and comfortable accommodations

Nice place to stay!

Hotel had a flood, had to move us to a room we didn’t select. Strong odor of mildew, beds were hard and was very loud in the room.
- 5/5
The only thing we did not like was the bartender in the resturant next door. We did not.know what we did wrong because he was rude and ignored us for a very long time and then gave us crappie service. It was quite disappointing ?. Overall everything else was spectacular! Front desk staff was excellent ?
- 4.5/5
The beds and the place was clean. Bar closed early and no place to eat.

At least one elevator has an expired temporary operation license, since it did not meet minimum requirements for the annual one. The elevator makes some concerning noises. Besides that all was okay. Staffs was nice
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Clean updated rooms, quiet, on US40
- 5/5
Quick, effotless check in.
- 5/5
Check in staff was very friendly. Location was a little farther from downtown then I was expecting but it was an easy bike ride into town
- 3/5
Room was fine, the establishment was very noisy, making it hard to sleep.
- 4/5
I don’t understand the parking fee about used to be free.
- 4/5
Overall everything was fine. No major complaints. Hot tub outside and inside was nice.
- 4/5
Staff - Robert was fantastic and attended to our needs like an expert. What a gem you have in Robert.
- 5/5
Great hotel, I stay there every year when I go out to go out hunting. Hotel was clean and deficient.
- 2/5
No
- 3/5
Ok
- 4/5
I sure didn’t appreciate the house cleaning staff parking their carts out by our door at Around 7 ish am and loudly talking in Spanish. Disturbing our Sunday morning sleep in, very rude behavior. Otherwise it’s an ok place for a night. Restaurant on site was ok, manager was friendly but the waiter was very un qualified and did the bare minimum, didn’t even know the menu very well and never stopped to check
- 4/5
It was clean and the staff was nice. I didn’t like that you have to pay for parking.
- 5/5
The room was nice! Availability of more dog walking space and bags near the hotel would be helpful. Most spaces were landscaping areas with rock which we didn't think were appropriate to use but had to sometimes. The restaurant staff were slow and not attentive to detail. Better training might help. They seemed to be doing the best they could.
- 5/5
I was pleasantly surprised by how new and modern the room was. Wasn’t crazy about using to pay for parking: felt like another way for them to make mkne
- 5/5
Best trip ever!
- 5/5
Welcoming and clean. Loved being greeted by the Wonderful doggies!!!
- 1/5
This hotel charged to park our car and did not provide breakfast. Ridiculous that a $200 hotel added an additional parking fee
- 5/5
The room was clean and breakfast option's were available. Parking was allowed but there was a fee per day.

- 3/5
The property was very nice but we were surprised to be charged $20 for parking - $10 for two days. We just stayed one night! We also were bothered by housekeeping twice in the morning before we checked out. The first time around 8 am. And then again around 9.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
We were thrilled with the restaurant near by. The room was very comfortable!
- 4/5
Great location and easy to get to, pet friendly rooms (first floor only). Loved that they have balconies/patios! Not allowed to leave pets in room unless you are on property (on-site restaurant, pool, etc). Enjoyed having the on-site restaurant. Check-in was easy, quick and they gave us a small dog bag with treats & poop bags :)
- 5/5
Check in was fast, room was clean and comfortable. We ate at the on site restaurant and the food was great.
- 3/5
Room had a malfunctioning cooling/heating system, restaurant service was poor( server did not put our order in, and we waited almost an hour to get our food.
- 5/5
Very nice. Super friendly.
- 4/5
We were not expecting an outside door to the pool area. We are safety conscious so that bothered us The room was spacious and quiet the breakfast was good but poor service due to not enough servers
- 4/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff.
- 4/5
It was a pleasant stayed
- 5/5
Check in service was good and despite our 2-hour early arrival, we were able to get our room.
- 5/5
quiet and the bar was nice
- 5/5
Good location. Lots of parking. Nice pools. Clean & modern room.
- 4/5
Pool was so cold you couldn't swim in it. Since no one swims in it no one cleans it.
- 1/5
Dirty, poorly maintained. Restaurant overpriced and poor quality. Pay for parking-really!!??
- 4/5
Overall hotel was dated, but clean. Guest room: bed uncomfortable, low water pressure in shower. Parking was convenient, however, was surprised with $10 daily parking fees. The restaurant was understaffed...no one in a hurry to provide service. Reserved a room with balcony or patio...not available at time of check-in.
- 4/5
Clean
- 2/5
The room was not very clean - the property in general is tired.
- 5/5
Nice staff, prompt check in, and clean rooms
- 5/5
The property was so clean and all the staff was so attentive and nice! Quentin (my apologies for the misspelling) checked me and my grandma in and provided great service.
- 5/5
Great spot , very easy for my wheelchair to get around in the mountains!
- 5/5
The restaurant attached to the property was a bonus and you get 10% off using your key card. They had live music Friday and Saturday.
- 5/5
Second time staying in a month love the pool and location is perfect
- 4/5
Hotel was clean and quiet. A $10 per day parking fee was charged which was not mentioned when I booked my room. The front desk staff said because they were in a resort area they could charge for parking.
- 5/5
😊
- 4/5
I liked the balcony. I didn’t like the big door that led to the balcony. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. There were a ton of outlets, which was great.
- 3/5
The front desk and restaurant staff have been rude the last couple times I’ve been here. They are aloof and lack basic customer service. Seems like they hate their jobs. Won’t stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean & updated within the last 2 years. Comfortable, but mattress smelled.
- 2/5
I must say I was disappointed that a Holiday Inn's rooms were so cramped. Even the small luggage carts were hard to manage thru the small elevator and hallways. The staff was excellent but I could not believe the hotel charged extra for parking. And also extra for a breakfast. We just went to a restaurant.
- 5/5
The outdoor pool was amazing and the rooms were very clean. Would stay there every time I visit Steamboat springs.
- 4/5
The hotel is nice, but we paid about $300 per night, so the price did not match the hotel category. The service was good, but we were not instructed we needed to request the room to be cleaned so it did not get cleaned even after I requested.
- 5/5
The room was very clean. The staff is very nice. There is a restaurant on site, which was very convenient.
- 1/5
The hotel is very old and expensive. The air conditioner was so loud it was hard to sleep. There was no continental breakfast. The hotel and room smelled bad and musty. Had breakfast at the attached restaurant. The food was not good and barely warm.
- 3/5
The service at the restaurant was horrible. Hotel staff was great
- 4/5
They were short staffed at the out door bar and dining area. Very slow service in the late afternoon and in the morning for free breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice convenient location clean
- 2/5
old looking
- 3/5
Room was not that clean, noisy. No breakfast
- 1/5
El lugar estabas sencillo simplemente lo que no me gustó es que en el baño no había shampoo y el personal en la puerta nos cobraron por parqueadero adicional y la verdad no me gustó como se portó con nosotros el que nos atendió
- 1/5
This hotel was terrible it had bad from the early 1800s. They were hard as a rock hurt most of the family's back sleeping on them. The restaurant serve cold food and took forever to wait on us they couldn't even toast the bread when we did order toast.
- 5/5
Good location for price. Property is older and a little shabby compared to others but for the price and amenities it is great. Hotel staff wonderful generally. One of the bus drivers was a little grumpy and seemed put out by our using the bus…
- 5/5
The hot tub and outdoor swimming pool were nice, it was still a little chilly for outdoor swimming, but the hot tub was spot on. And the beer outside in the lawn was nice also.
- 5/5
I stayed here one night for an event in town. Staff was great, beds were comfy, rooms were clean! I would recommend.
- 3/5
Cleanliness was par at best. Other than that, the hotel was good but not great.
- 4/5
Some of the outdoor and indoor activities/equipment were run down. Room was nice, modern and clean. Resturant was mediocre though staff was good.
- 4/5
It was nice, clean. Beautiful view. Food and live music was great
- 5/5
Great place to rest after long road trip
- 4/5
This was an average hotel, I wouldn’t call it exceptional
- 3/5
On check in: Surprise charges for two items: Parking $10 and possible incidentals $20.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay here. There are evidently lots of contractors who stay here. Many work vehicles in the lot. Generally very little noise as most people seem to go to bed early. Thankful for that, as noise does travel from one room to another easily.
- 5/5
Real nice room
- 5/5
Convince
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and rooms were comfortable
- 2/5
I was extremely disappointed to be charged 10 dollars for car parking, if I had known that there was to be a charge for car parking I would have gone elsewhere.
- 5/5
Bed was amazing! Room was clean, well appointed with toiletries.
- 4/5
The cable/satellite tv was no easy to operating. Towels extremely thin. Staff very helpful and friendly. They refunded the ridiculous parking fee of $10 per night. Was told all hotels charge for parking. Won't visit Steamboat Springs again. Mud/shoulder season and still much to expensive.
- 5/5
The front desk that was on Saturday charged me more that the Hotel.com invoice. But the next day ,Tammy ,fixed everything and was very helpful and sweet
- 5/5
The staff was super nice and the room was very clean. It was perfect for what we needed.
- 5/5
what you would expect from holiday inn
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Tammy was great. She was very helpful and made our stay great.
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Too many questions
- 5/5
Great price, comfortable bed for overnight stay.
- 5/5
The room was comfortable and perfect!
- 4/5
I dropped in for a final ski trip in April and had a wonderful stay with a king bedroom that had a view of the courtyard. Daily I skied used the adequate fitness room, skied and sat in the hot tub. The bar tenders in Harrison's are friendly and the food is better than the typical bar. Watch out for the new nightly parking fee of $10 (effective Jan 2025).
- 4/5
Check in was quick. The front desk person gave us all of the information that we needed upon check in and there is a restaurant attached to the hotel.
- 5/5
This hotel was very convenient and comfortable. The staff was friend and professional.
- 4/5
It was great place to stay while skiing Steamboat. Shuttle service was the best!
- 5/5
Clean and well kept. Great service
- 3/5
Ski hotel what do want!
- 5/5
Seriously we found a gem! We were in Steamboat to go to the Strawberry Hot Springs. It turned out this hotel partnered with the springs and the springs picked us up straight from the hotel and took us to the springs and then dropped us back off at the hotel. The staff was SO friendly and they even had a dog that was working up front at the check in desk that would greet everyone as they came and went. The nicest dog and so cute! The hotel restaurant food was delicious which isn't always the case. The spinach artichoke dip was the best I've ever had. And the service in the restaurant was top notch. Everything about this hotel experience was a 10.
- 4/5
Property and rooms were clean and well kept, beds were hard and had to pay for parking. This part is a personal pet peeve but having to give my license plate to park Insert Eye roll here. It's teamboat springs not Denver.
- 5/5
quick ski trip with daughter. Friendly, quiet, nice gym, adjacent restaurant for breakfast. Convenient ski shuttle about every 15-20 minutes
- 5/5
Overall bo complaints at all!
- 3/5
Highway noise made it hard to skeep
- 3/5
Bv
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful, only downside was you could hear everything going on in the halls and with neighboring rooms
- 5/5
Great property, wonderful staff, nice rooms and other facilities.
- 3/5
It was fine. Nothing stood out. It was a typical hotel
- 4/5
The heating units were out. The hot tubs jets not working. But usually love this place.
- 5/5
Room comfortable (beds, amenities, shower). Nice to have restaurant & bar onsite and area in reception with a few tables, fireplace & beverages/snacks. Ski shuttle handy. Friendly workers
- 4/5
Would suggest updating the bar and restaurant
- 3/5
Other than that, it is ok. Shuttle bus to resort is very good. But there is no breakfast and no free parking ($10 per day)
- 5/5
Clean and convenient
- 5/5
The hotel is in A-1 condition. The staff is friendly and professional. The shuttle service is high quality, and convenient. I will opt for the Holiday Inn - Steamboat again.
- 4/5
The heat did not work well. Very noisy and hot/ cold?
- 5/5
Both my husband and I were incredibly impressed by the staff at this hotel. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The shuttle running from the hotel to the mountain was super convenient and reliable. And the shuttle driver was so nice.
- 4/5
Indoor hot tub didn't work, water was cold - reported it on Sunday, as of Tuesday it still didn't work; Heater in the room was either malfunctioning or just was of poor quality - kept turning on and off every 2 min. through the night, made it difficult to sleep with that noise.
- 5/5
Great location and price
- 3/5
*indoor hot tub *our TV in our room, had them come to fix, they left it on and then we could not turn it off. Had to unplug so we could go to sleep *the door leading out to the outdoor hot tub nearest our room, our cards would not unlock it, had to walk all the way around to the pool and go out that way and walk thru snow barefooted *the towel holders for the hot tub rarely had towels in it, had to go to the front desk to get them, that same towel rack is blocking the sign that shows you the way to the pool/hot tub *no complimentary water bottles in our room, most high dollar hotels do this For a high dollar a night hotel we found these things unacceptable. The p.m. man that checked us in seemed very unaffected by our concerns. The morning man was very accommodating and helpful. We did appreciate that he took off $150 per night off our stay.
- 5/5
Wonderful base for a skier on a budget. Very clean, extra friendly staff, reliable shuttle to the slopes. Full restaurant and bar is a great add when it’s too snowy to think about driving to dinner. Just a few minutes into the heart of town. Would stay again!
