It was a no frills stay. The room was good and clean. I had a dog, so perhaps the room was lower quality for that reason. I was taken aback by the high security of the innkeeping area. A small entrance area was all the access a customer has, and talks through a hole in a window to the innkeeper. I felt like I was in New York City, not suburban Virginia.

Quiet location, clean, affordable. Solid hot water supply, small, private balcony. No cheap stinky air spray coverup. Quiet heat/cool unit that worked well. No bedside electric outlet or usb ports. TV was disfunctional., controler generally inneffective.

For 65 bucks a night..it was the perfect place to crash after driving for close to 12 hours. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. Location was close to several fast food places and gas stations/ travel plazas for food. And parking was right outside your room. And each room had a little patio/balcony to sit out on and view the pretty woods behind the motel. Only complaint was no in room coffee maker ..but hey 65 bucks a night !

We were there two days. When we got back to our room there had been no housekeeping done. My wife went to the office to get some clean towels. She asked why no one cleaned the reply was “we knocked and no one answered”

All of the furniture was falling apart, the sheets were clean but I was scared to lift them up and check the mattress. The walls were many different shades of stained. I stay at cheap places, I don’t have high standards at all. When I stay at a cheap place I expect outdated furniture but I’m never scared to sleep there or take a shower. At this place I was. The curtains to the patio were brown because of how old they were where they should have been white. On a positive note, the floors were updated.

Don't expect you bed to get done for four nights, towels to get changed every two nights. When you run the AC on 69 and leave for work, you will find it turned onto 77 when you get back to your room which will be as hot as an oven so they might save some money which you have paid already.

Good & cheap. Plumbing worked & slept well. The floor could’ve been cleaner but that’s really it. It’s run-down but everything worked so no real issue.

Reserved room with two beds, was given room with one bed. Room was beautiful and clean otherwise. Bath towels are old and badly stained. Bring your own. Pillows reeked of stale, old, cigarette smoke. Bring a bottle of Febreeze (it contains a smell inhibitor). Heater/air conditioner/climate control did not work in my room; did not stay long enough to see that it was repaired or replaced. Pet-friendly with $12/day fee. For a last minute stopover on a long road trip, it was pretty decent. Most beautiful sunrise off upper floor balcony.

Liked nothing about this place, rooms old and somewhat dirty, hair in tub, no breakfast or coffee overpriced for what was offered. I would not recommend to any one.

This hotel wasn't bad. It's no frills, but it was a good sleep and I wasn't bothered by crooks or staff. If you want to do something in town, the Woodrow Wilson library is in Staunton. There are other places to see and things to do, as well. Quaint, cool old Virginny towne!!
