The breakfast menu was a little lackibg based on other stays at Hamilton Inn over the past years.

Parking was easy. There were enough luggage carts. Check-in was easy and the staff were friendly. Free coffee 24 hrs. Clean public areas and clean room and bathroom. Comfortable beds. Plenty of plugs and USB outlets. We had breakfast on two mornings and besides oatmeal with a dozen toppings, two kinds of self-serve waffles in two sizes, four kinds of juice, cereal, bread, toast and bakery treats, the eggs were an omelet one day and scrambled the next. Breakfast meats were sausage links one day and bacon the next. All very good. Pleasant seating too. Even the cleaning staff were friendly. Overall very nice experience.

This is my third stay. It is a perfect halfway point - clean, quiet, and comfortable .

Nice quiet stay for a quick overnight stop - room was clean, Natasha the manager graciously helped get our room worked out to adjoin so my senior Mom could be with us! Breakfast was good and coffee was nice and strong!

The staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay excellent. The breakfast was better than most Hamptons we have stayed in. Though dated it was very clean. Only complaint is the rooms have no where to hang suits or dresses. No closets or hangers of any kind in our room.

Nice pool for the kids. The breakfast was top notch! Try the folded omelette with cheese.. it was delicious! Very nice stay and exactly what we wanted all around! :)

We arrived around 10:15 PM and there was no one there at the desk, just a sheet to sign your name and indicate if you had a pet. There were bags with water bottles and key cards attached, with the party’s last name on them. None of the bags was for us. The only way I could get into the room was through the Hilton Honors app and the digital key therin. This hotel brand used to be a nice option, but it has gone downhill the last few times I have stayed at a Hampton Inn. 15-20 years ago they were great, but not anymore.

Our first night there, the toilet would not flush good, but it finally work right. the next night it overflowed and water came out all over the bathroom and door of bathroom. I went down to the front desk and told the person at the desk what had happened and water was all over. Did they have a plunger, mop and bucket. He said he would see if he could find them. After a while he came back with these items and a arm load of towels for me to use to clean up the water. Told me to put the plunger, mop and bucket outside the door when I was done and someone would get them later that night. They were still there the next morning when we got up. I took them down to the lobby and they didn't know what to do with them! The bad thing about all this is they never offered to send someone to our room to clean up the mess that was not our fault! I had taken my wife there for our anniversary! What an anniversary having pay to mop the floor!

We got to the room and there were one very low amount of toilet paper so we had to ask for at least 3! And pillows are frumpy- asked for 2 more . Service outstanding! Thank you for going out of your way to make our stay more comfortable.

It did not smell like many hotels but that applies only to second and third floors. Tub plumbing fixtures needed tweaking. We would definitely go back again.

The staff as extremely friendly and courteous. The hotel is in on a nice cute hill - secluded enough to not have any traffic noise from nearby, but close to restaurants (and a Starbucks) enough to be in walking distance. 10/10 recommend for anyone passing by. It's a straightforward 40m drive from Charlottesville as well, and way cheaper and nicer than the hotels you'd find in that city for this price range.

Terrific stopping place on our road trip with our dog to Gatlinburg TN. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was quiet with an outdoor area for pets easily accessible. Staunton, VA, “main street” area is a nice and walkable. Lots of restaurants.

Front desk receptionist was great.

Had to stop during a bad snow storm. Hotel employees were lovely. They even ordered food in for all the guest stranded in storm! I believed they even helped some of the other guests clean cars off in the morning. A really nice stay in a bit of a panic moment. Would definitely recommend!

Our stay is always great st this hotel. We’ve been using this hotel for about 10 years. My only remarks are about the hotel itself. It I’d definite need of an upgrade. It’s age is beginning to show especially in the carpets.

The staff was as friendly as I have ever seen. They handled every request promptly with a smile. Breakfast had multiple options and plenty of food. I'll be back soon.

I liked how quiet and peaceful the hotel was. Great breakfast daily, plus cookies and coffee each afternoon. It was located to nearby restaurants and gas stations to fill up. They had terrific beds for a good night’s sleep.

Customer service was excellent. Did not care for other guests that had no regard for sleeping guests. Loud talking in hallway and slamming doors late at night.

The Hampton Inn, Staunton is well-run and a convenient five-minute drive from downtown Staunton.

The customer service at this hotel was outstanding. It was also very clean and welcoming. The breakfast was great as well. Honestly, we have always had pretty good luck with Hampton Inn, but this one was the best we have stayed in. I think the people they hired for the front desk were excellent and really made the difference.

feces on toilet, took 1 hour to get internet. No hand soap, pen, pad to write on, TV station guide, Not a lot of channels as advertised, needs up dating, carpet dirty, coffee was terrible, breakfast was very good. Will not stay again.

Really friendly staff who worked hard to make sure everything was in order. It would have been nice with a bigger pool so you could swim laps and/or with a kiddie shallow end.

Room had a stale smoke smell covered up by room fresheners . Showers were hot and the breakfast was great . Mattress was just fair and not as good as most Hampton Inns we have stayed at .

I spent 2 days in a row. I was underwhelmed with no room service clean up, towels, trash pick up. This was apparently offered IF I called the front desk as I found out on check out day.

Mix up with our reservation, and they did provide us with a room, but it smelled. Smell never went away
