The room was spotless and the breakfast was great.

Furniture was little run down and room needed some TLC. Had a slight safety concern due to multiple people trying to enter the room because they thought it was access to inside stairs.

Pleasant staff, great breakfast and perfect location.
- 5/5
Love the fact that they also have a cat rescue!

Our stay was very nice. Checkin was quick and easy. Room was clean and spacious. Located perfectly for quick and easy access to shops and restaurants. Worth it.
- 4/5
This was our third stay in over nineteen years. The overall outside upkeep of the property does not present as being at meticulous as in the past., The room furniture, all well-used, was shabby and had lost its chic. Otherwise everything else was acceptable, but nothing was memorable.
- 5/5
Everything we needed.
- 5/5
We stayed in Patrick 26. Wonderful stay! Clean, comfortable, historic, walkable to many great restaurants, winery, breweries. Staff are friendly and breakfast delicious.

- 5/5
Loved exploring the town.
- 5/5
Lovely room, convenient location!
- 5/5
As others have said, we had a great stay at Frederick House. We stayed in Bowers 21 for two nights. The room with a comfortable king size bed exceeded our expectations, with a private balcony great for sitting out on and enjoying the beautiful weather we had. The room was better than the photos. Friendly owners and staff offered suggestions of where to go and places to eat. We enjoyed the wineries they recommended and the restaurants they suggested. An overall pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Beautiful and charming old home with large rooms and nice decor. Clean and well kept. Breakfast was tasty with several interesting choices and a side of fresh fruit. Perfectly located to enjoy and explore Staunton's fun downtown.

- 5/5
Quiet, roomy.
- 5/5
What a charming place to stay! We stayed in the Patrick House. Initially we thought the AC wasn't working well but realized by closing the bathroom door we'd closed off one of the registers. (It's an old building so that's what worked :-) The owners and staff were friendly & accommodating and the breakfast was wonderful! Very walkable to Beverly St, restaurants & shopping. Staunton is such a lovely, if hilly, city! About to book a room for our return trip!
- 5/5
Staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable, went out of their way to accomodate. Clean rooms.
- 5/5
Friendly people and really unique and historic place to stay

Great location and super cozy room.
- 5/5
Walking distance to Blackfriars Theatre, dining options and small shops. Breakfast was wonderful! The rooms and breakfast room are not in one house but several historic homes which are adjacent each other. We enjoyed our stay.

What a lovely property! The room was immaculate, the staff kind and accommodating to our late arrival. The location was perfect. We were surrounded by quant shops, beautiful buildings and a plethora of great dining options. The breakfast in the morning was the cherry on top! Beautifully presented and tasty. We will definitely return to this establishment.

Our room was cozy and clean. The staff was great. There are five choices for breakfast and the food was fresh and yummy.
- 3/5
On a Monday, our car was ticketed after parking in the only available spot for about an hour and a half. Very limited parking is not convenient.
- 5/5
This place is the absolute cutest and has the friendliest staff!
- 5/5
Lovely property. Nicely appointed. We will stay there every time we come through Staunton. Breskfast is to die for - so very good and out of the ordinary. Absolutely loved it.
- 5/5
Couldn't speak more highly of this hotel. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The home cooked breakfast every morning is substantial and delicious. The hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of all the points of interest downtown. You will not regret staying at the Frederick House.
- 5/5
Great experience, even our hot breakfast was good!
- 5/5
This place was a stopover on the way to our 'real' vacation. We just needed a place to break up a long trip to New England. We got more than we expected. The room was very comfortable and rather charming. The staff was cordial, making us feel welcome and suggesting several restaurant options for dinner. The included breakfast was delicious. We were the only folks at breakfast initially, so we got to spend time chatting with the owner; very enjoyable. At the end of our stay, we went from considering the Frederick House 'just a place to stay for the night' to somewhere we'd like to visit again (along with the charming town of Staunton).
- 5/5
Breakfast alone was worth making the trip. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Great location to visit historic Staunton and ride the train. Loved the unique feel of the room. Very comfortable
- 5/5
This is such a charming and unique place to stay! We loved that we could easily walk to so many excellent restaurants and we enjoyed the play at BlackFriars Playhouse just a couple of blocks from Frederick House. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we loved its character. Breakfast was a delight. Highly recommend and we will be back!
- 5/5
Very accommodating staff and lovely room.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful except the hill when coming back after dinner..lol..had a lovely time..thanx so much! We'll be back.
- 4/5
Very nice stay. Older setting, but convenient
- 2/5
The pictures are not an accurate reflection of this property. It was shabby and even a bit creepy. Our room (room 18) was a poorly converted garage. There were flower decals on the wall that were peeling off, the shower floor had moldy grout, the joint tape was coming off from the ceiling the TV was the size of an Ipad mini, spiders were in the corners, but the greatest insult of all, was we paid more than $600 for this miserable experience. Don't be fooled like we were.
- 5/5
Great location in town. Close to restaurants and shopping. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean comfortable. Great breakfast.
- 5/5
This property is special. Broken into 4 residences, the buildings are very well preserved while still having all the comforts of a modern inn. It was very clean, comfortable and the included breakfast was exceptional! Anyone driving through Staunton, VA should stay here!
- 5/5
Such a nice proprietor. Warm people in town.
- 5/5
We stayed at the Womack House built circa 1840. The Frederick House has several renovated homes to stay in. Our bedroom, bathroom with toilet and bathroom with a shower (3 rooms) was clean. We liked the décor and antiques. one disappointment was that there was not a coffee maker in our room. The breakfast was excellent. The lady who served our food was very sweet and attentive. There is lots to see and do in Staunton.
- 3/5
The room (Womack-18) is too small. The rom door is facing the street.
- 5/5
We loved our stay. The owners were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great.
- 5/5
Love this collection of old buildings with large rooms that comprise this inn. Modern climate control and high quality beds. The host and servers are so gracious, breakfast is plentiful. Be aware that no elevators are on premises.
- 5/5
Breakfast was really good & presented nicely. Room 26 was very clean & maintained. However, the sheets on the bed. They were what made our stay. Super soft & luxurious!
- 5/5
This was my fourth stay at Frederick House. The hosts are close by and attentive. The quaint decor in the rooms make you feel at home. Breakfast with a half dozen choices is very good. The best thing is the convenience to everything you want to do in Staunton. The only negative is there may be steps to climb and no elevators.
- 4/5

- 5/5
So quaint and lovely
- 5/5
This was one of the best b&b's we have ever been to. Old country beauty emanates in the establishment, service and the setting, and the breakfast is a cut above others. We frequent Blackfriars Playhouse productions, and we came to Frederick House with a friend to accommodate a show in celebration of a few things. Our stay could not have been better.
- 5/5
Our only suggestion for improvement. ... coffee/ tea making facilities would be welcome and ice machine. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
What a gem! Great service, charming spacious and comfortable in every way. Delicious breakfast, delightful staff, and in the perfect location for a weekend with Shakespeare!
- 5/5
