Access to highway was close and very good. The price was reasonable by todays standards. Breakfast was good, but would have better if they offered any kind of eggs. I am not a fan of creamed sausage on biscuits.

The night shift attendant was mindful to not put anyone on the other side of the building where the cops had been for a while. He wanted us to get a good nights sleep since we were driving the rest of the way home in the morning. The beds were comfy and they had bedbug covers and no box springs so there’s a plus. It’s not been remodeled except for the faucet and big honking AC on the “floor”! There’s unfinished repairs in the bathroom of 214! Security lights shine through the drapes and made it hard to sleep. The AC wasn’t on so the room was muggy as hades! At least the price was ok.
- 4/5
The room was great and I liked the light breakfast, but the cereal was stale from probably the moisture from the air. I ride my motorcycle and do not really like to eat heavy before I get on the bike. The room was a little dated, but I travel by myself so I do not need perfect rooms.

Smoke detector was chirping when I entered my room. After two calls to the front desk, the clerk came to my room, took it off the wall, removed the battery and left it on the dresser. The provided hairdryer didn’t not work. And one of my towels had black stuff all over it, and one of the washcloths had what looked like a blood stain! Finally, had to depart a day early due to a family issue, and after talking to the front desk, Expedia, and the hotel manager Friday morning, I was unable to get my Saturday reservation refunded.

Noisy dogs from residents at motel. We moved to another room. It had smoke in a non smoking room. Breakfast was much smaller than previous visits. I realized by making an early reservation- about 2 months early, I paid almost double the fee for the room. Not going back again. Also lots of caulking around bathtub. .

Upon arrival, we noted that the parking lot was empty. We walked into the office and it had a stale, sour smell. Being cautious, we asked to view the room before checking in. The clerk handed us a key card. We went to the room and tried to open the door. No luck. We peered through the window. The room looked dingy and dirty. The bed was poorly made. We returned the card to the clerk. Did not check in, drove another hour to the next town. I will never stay at this motel.
- 2.5/5
Old run down decor and facility, cleanliness just ok. No coffee maker in room. Free breakfast very limited mostly gluten.
- 4/5
Facilities a bit dated, but all was adequate and clean. Very nice and attentive staff. Tv channels not in HD. Breakfast was limited. Biscuits and gravy was the only hot offering. Realized we had stayed there years ago, and would again. Very good deal versus other options. Queen beds.
- 1/5
We stayed for a week in the regular rooms and tbh they weren’t so bad, they were at least clean. Then we moved into the “suites” extended stay rooms. They were terrible. Stains all over the walls, ceiling, lamps, etc. there was two car air fresheners tied to the AC unit, which was CAKED in mold, I’m talking caked. I bought bleach spray and sprayed it inside and out for a couple of days. The first day there about 5K flies in the rooms, and as I started to see, when the cleaners “cleaned” they would leave the doors open to the rooms. I’m guessing to air them out? Idk, I wasn’t expecting the Taj Mahal for 70/night. But I do expect a room to be clean and taken care of. The extended stay rooms were neither. But, like I said, the regular rooms weren’t bad. They were at least clean.
- 2/5
It was fine for a quick overnight stay. Not a nice motel though. Definitely needs updating.
- 3/5
Funcionarios ok. Cafe da manha muito pobre e ruim. Limpeza mediana, nosso quarto NAO estava com o Piso muito limpo (manchas grudavam no pe). Banheiro ok.
- 2/5
The room was clean, and the AC/heat worked. The shower had plenty of hot water & pressure, but the tub and sink did not drain well. Bathroom needs a do-over. Breakfast was terrible. The toaster had no return tray or mechanism, so the toast fell on the counter at the back. No eggs, no tea, food stale, sausage gray from days before.
- 4/5
Free breakfast.
- 4/5
Clean room. Staff friendly
- 4/5
Staff was friendly, room was clean. Room condition needed some attention. Had a good nights rest.
- 3/5
Room was really dirty. Have stayed here before with no issues, but this time it was terrie.
- 5/5
One of the best values in the region. Clean, comfortable room. Away from the city, but still convenient to everything. Some hot items on contental breakfast.
- 4/5
had limited options.
- 3/5
The staff was wonderful. The rooms were in desperate need of repair. There was a cigarette burn on our sheet, the bath mat looked like someone had stepped on it with a dirty boot, there were multiple scratches on the furniture, there was a bit of dried soap in the shower soap dish, one lamp shade was broken..but the worst was the desk chair that was so stained we were afraid to use it.
- 3/5
Courteous staff
- 5/5
Everything staff was so nice and made me and my daughter feel so comfortable would stay there over any hotel
- 4/5
Very convenient location, right off the highway.
- 3/5
Staff was ok. Mostly indifferent. The breakfast was awful. Stay away from the biscuits and gravy. Like an old Honda civic burning oil. They don’t change it.
- 5/5
Great room for the price. The coffee was good too
- 3/5
I stay here a lot and it is usually a very good room for the price. This time I noticed several things: no hot water it was only lukewarm, stink bug infestation and just not as neat as they used to be. I hope they fix these things otherwise I will have to find another place to stay.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed. Most important
- 3/5
The floors were disgusting they was swept but hadnt been mopped in a very long time it appeared the guy on morning shift was rude but the gentleman on 2nd shift was awesome breakfast was good
- 5/5
Clean room friendly staff
- 3/5
Room was clean, mattress comfortable, staff was very nice. My only issue, is that they do not have coffee makers in the rooms and the only coffee available is in the registration building. Coffee is very important especially first thing in the morning so it was annoying having to get dressed and drive through the parking lot to get it. I wont stay here again, for that single reason.
- 3/5
Cable TV did not work. Breakfast was disappointing. Beds were great.
- 5/5
Clean room friendly staff!!
- 3/5
Room was good staff was good
- 2/5
The sausage gravy was very good.
- 3/5
The beds are always comfortable there, but they need to keep the place clean and replace the towels. Most the towels and wash clothes have stains on them. Apart from that, it’s a decent and affordable place to sleep over while traveling
- 4/5
Room was clean
- 5/5
It was fine some furniture was on its last leg and could have mopped my baby had black feet running in room barefoot
- 2/5
Easy access right off the highway. Dirty floor around the door. Only 1 towel provided in the room. The parking lot was a bit sketchy. People partying in the parking lot right outside our door, all night!

- 3/5
It was convenient for one night on our road trip.
- 2/5
Our room was non-smoking but still smelled terribly of cigarettes coming from the next room. We got to breakfast at 8 but nothing was left.
- 1/5
Attendant was nice. Bed and bath were clean, but the outside was really dirty and run down. Scary hotel, never back again.
- 2/5
There were not enough choices for breakfast. The bed was ok but the bathroom was gross. The shower had a used bar of soap and there was a ring of urine around the base of the toilet. The sink was very small and there was no space to put toiletries.
- 1/5
The rooms are at the reservation building. When I arrived the washer and dryer was in the breezeway of the rooms and they were below my room. Then there a strong smell from someone cooking in one of the rooms which was strong, then there was cigarette smell that came in my room. Then, in the morning people were outside of room being loud and then I heard people slamming the washer and dryer early in the morning. I got up and took a shower which the water didn’t drain good, came out from the shower and found a bug on my bed.
- 1/5
Safe yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for a hotel! Located right off the highway in a dated trucker's lot. The main lobby is a separate building from the hotel. The pictures under this hotel's description are absolutely false!! Hotel still took our money after we cancelled our stay!! Beware!!
- 3/5
The AC unit conspired with my snoring husband to keep me awake most of the night. Unit was loud and persistent even when I turned speed to Low and raised the temp up high. finally powered it off. Hair dryer had a broken plug with exposed wires. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Surprisingly loud footsteps from room overhead.
- 4/5
Clean room quite
- 2/5
"Hot" breakfast was not. The only hot item was gravy and bagel if you toasted it. Otherwise it was a continental breakfast. We chose to go elsewhere for breakfast. The light drapes in the window were torn. Wallpaper bubbling off the bathroom wall. Toilet required two flushes to clear everything. Worst hotel/motel I've stayed at that I can remember.
- 5/5
Was a bit nervous upon arrival because the building itself reminded me of the Days Inn in my Hometown, which is
- 1/5
Was woken up in the middle of the night with the smell of burning and mildew coming from the air conditioner. There were also bugs and a room that was not cleaned very well. I felt unsafe and ended up leaving at 1 in the morning wide awake and blowing black particles out of my nose. I plan to avoid this place and be far more careful when booking rooms in the future.
- 2/5
Room smells, curtains were riped Microwave looked like someone he it with a bat And bugs in bathroom i left the towel there so cleaning can see
- 2/5
Although Expedia sent me an invite to pre-register, which I did, the staff asked me for all of the same information again including my credit card. Staff accidently then double charged my credit card which they did work to refund. Nice location and feels clean and safe outdoors, but inside, the flooring is coming loose and sticking up at various points which could cause tripping or falling. Some of the furniture upholstery is very discolored. Mattress was good quality, but the frame made loud creaking noises when someone merely laid down on the bed. All of the noises from the parking lot seem to come right through the front wall and windows of the room. Bathroom was okay and HVAC worked okay. Breakfast was very marginal. There was no orange juice available. There were several types of pastries. There was a dispenser machine which was labeled as having apple juice and cranberry juice, but just dispensed water instead. This facility has some good things going for it, like safe surroundings, and a nice separate building which formerly served as a restaurant. It needs a major rehabilitation to be competitive with newer hotel and motel facilities in the region.
- 1/5
Very dirty
- 1/5
It's 2 am and I went to the bathroom and saw a roach and cannot sleep because I'm worried about them getting into our things
- 1/5
Rooms weren’t clean, there was no playground which is why we booked it because they advertised it (for our kiddo after a long drive), lots of smokers, very noisy, bed covers had holes in them. To sum it up, it was too late to change our option by the time we arrived and we were relieved to find our car and belongings all still there in the morning.
- 4/5
This is a motel with the doors outside the building. So, I was disoriented by the "Inn" name. For motels, it is good.
- 4/5
Once i stepped inside the room, everything was much better. The exterior of the hotel is run down but the rooms appear to have been renovates. Shower was great, bed slept well, and the only oddity was thw AC unit on the floor, but it cooled the room off pretty quickly.
- 1/5
Never again.
- 5/5
If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay that is clean and safe, this is a great choice. The room was comfortable, and I felt secure throughout my stay. I’ll definitely be staying here again when I’m in the area.

The staff was nice overall room was ok but outside was dirty and smelled
- 4/5
Quiet area. Could have been cleaner. Broken floor tiles. Very hot water in shower, unable to adjust cooler.
- 2/5
Disgusting.
- 4/5
Bugs in room after exterminator entered
- 3/5
On a hot, humid night we went without AC because it smelled. Outside noises were quite noticeable. Breakfast was mostly carbs with Fox on the tv.
- 2/5
No phone in room. Tv was difficult to operate
- 1/5
Breakfast was devil dogs and a crockpot of sausage gravy. Not worth the money. Don’t recommend this hotel.
- 2/5
The ac wasnt on when we arrived so the room was so hot. Then it didnt even cool the room off. The bathroom was a tight squeeze. The water line broke and we was without water. They didnt even care to let us know
- 4/5
room was great
- 5/5
Clean. Good value for the price.
- 5/5
nice, quiet property. everyone was so nice and the room was nice also.will definitely stay again if Im back in Staunton overnight
- 5/5
Room was clean, mattress was very good, a chair & ottoman was nice to watch TV in
- 4/5
The room itself was surprisingly nice given the price. The area around the rooms are rather sketchy but we had no problem as we are quiet and keep to ourselves. The staff checked in on us everyday which i dont personally like but understand how others would appreciate the attentiveness. They are stingy on the soap as well as the other bathroom items but you can request more. While we were away the staff would clean and restock our room. When they left they would turn off our AC and leave our room quite hot until our return. I give my overall experience 4 stars and would stay again if the need arose.
- 5/5
It exceeded my expectations! The only thing is that breakfast has limited options.
- 5/5
Everything was fine
- 4/5
Despite the exterior looking a little run down, the room was very clean, the bed sheets also very clean and comfortable, the shower clean with good power and the overall area quiet and in a natural setting.
- 4/5
Good
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
There was no coffee maker in the room and the ice machine was broken
- 3/5
they can do better, air want working proper and a lot of squetchie people around
- 3/5
Everything was good except the AC in our room had been turned off before we got there, so our room was really hot. This was frustrating since we got there late in the evening after a long day of traveling and it took a long time to cool offm
- 5/5
Given the cost of the room, we found it very nice and clean. It was older, not fancy, but just what we needed for a 1 night stay!
- 5/5
The young man that checked us in was new and very friendly and helpful on where to eat and park
- 5/5
Very convenient location.
- 4/5
very clean rooms and great price. very polite and kind check in. everyone was great
- 5/5
From check-in to check-out, my mom and i were very satisfied. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful, the romm, grounds and lobby/breakfast area was super clen. beds comfortable. The bagels were amazing as well.. wish I could have found out where to buy some!! I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to my friends and family!
- 1/5
The door of the bathroom would not shut and it was rotted around the bottom. The arm of the chair was not attached. There were shady people in the parking lot at all hours of the night. It did not feel safe. It was not clean. It has to be the worst place we have ever stayed. Never again!
- 4/5
Room was clean, no unpleasant odors, and everything worked. Free breakfast was not good. My biggest gripe was that I received a text that supposedly allowed me to do a mobile check-in, including scanning my photo id ahead of time, to save time at actual check in. When I arrived at the motel, the clerk still insisted she needed to scan my id. Overall, I would recommend for a budget option.
- 3/5
Was ok , floor was super dirty I cleaned with bath towels. People above us ran back n forth all night and felt like they were in our room . Breakfast was so/so. No orange juice , or pb Ice machine worked 1 of 2 days. Bed was clean & Bath
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable and reasonable price
- 4/5
Convenient and clean place to stay. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was lacking selection and variety
- 5/5
Room was clean although smelled like a smoking room. Employees were nice.
- 4/5
Beds were comfy. Should have a little more selection for breakfast like sausage, eggs and maybe some yogurt. The taps in the bathtub should be tightened up, overall it was a decent place to stay for the night. Staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
Great room and fairly priced. Would certainly stop here again.
- 4/5
Very nice but somewhat dated. A good place to stay for a night. Staff was great. parking is good.
- 3/5
Refrigerator and microwave worked well; I used them both for dinner since I was just passing through on the way home. The breakfast seemed lacking in options.
- 3/5
Despite the threadbare appearance of the motel, the room was clean. The motel was OK for a one night stopover on our trip.
- 2/5
Loiterer’s (10-15) out on the stairs to the upper units when we arrived at about 10 pm. Broken tiles in the bathroom, stained towels, advertised ‘full breakfast’ that included bread, bagels, biscuits, cereal with a pot of sausage gravy, juice and a couple apples. Their apparent recent renovations seriously missed the mark. If you’re truly desperate, this is your place!
- 3/5
Just ok, needed a room.
- 4/5
Very clean bedding and bathrm which needs updating!
- 4/5
Older hotel but bed was very comfortable and it was clean.
- 4/5
All good
- 1/5
Dingy, ac didnt work and was loud, no usb anywhere, ice machines broken, vending machines not stocked, trash in parking area, freezers broken in both rooms. And they tried triple charging us for extra days. Absolutely disgusting.
- 5/5
Quiet, clean and beds were very comfortable.
- 4/5
It’s fine for a sleep while traveling. Clean but shower rod loose, looks like mold or something on ceiling. Price and overall room good though.
- 5/5
I like walking around the hotel. The lighting is excellent. It is rural (you can see rolling hills and cows) and at the same time very close to the highway, so very convenient.
- 5/5
It was great staying here overnight.
- 5/5
Rooms were great and staff friendly
- 5/5
Great spot to stop for the night with lots of very good restaurant options under ten minutes away.
- 5/5
very clean room, great stay, very friendly staff
- 5/5
Good value. Quiet &safe
- 3/5
We first arrived the heat wasn't turned on, took about 3 hours to finally get warm
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!😁😁😁 QUICK & CONVENIENTLY LOCATED OFF HIGHWAY & 2 CONVENIENT NEARBY FOR MUNCHIES & ⛽️ !!!👏👏 I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR EITHER 1 NIGHT OR THEY CAN ACCOMMODATE MANY NIGHTS!!!👏👏 I PLAN ON USING THEM FOR MANY MORE STAYS NEEDED!!!🙌🙌🙌
- 2/5
2) There was a very large ice patch on the walkway in front of our door. water was dripping from a nozzle on the outside wall and freezing. the ice was about 3 feet wide. 3) there was no coffee maker. the microwave and mini-fridge were nice to have, but it was disappointing not to have a coffee maker.
- 5/5
Easy to find. It is what it is
- 4/5
Right off I-81, super convenient. Plenty parking, breakfast, nice staff: what’s not to like.
- 5/5
For all the bad reviews this was a nice clean hotel that needs probably some updating but it was just fine to stay from being on the road all day and the price was awesome
- 5/5
Quite possibly the softest bed and nicest towels I’ve ever used in a chain hotel!
- 5/5
The staff are very niçe and property is just off of a ramp 117 of interstate 81 Mint Springs and has it's own property with plenty of parking very nice quiet and safe. Large grounds pool and picnic area.
- 4/5
I was disappointed that the internet was not working. The television does not have accessibility features and no closed captioning. Overall, it looked like the rooms had been renovated. Breakfast was good, but the healthy options were limited.
- 1/5
Mold in refrigerator and not working, smell in room and a restore air machine sitting on desk.
- 1/5
Mold in the shower stalls, very worn out rooms, not very clean.
- 3/5
I couldn't get the internet to work. The AC/Heat unit on the floor was not effective.
- 3/5
Hotel outdated-woman at front desk on check in early evening not pleasant. Will not stay here again even though price was right.
- 3/5
On site restaurant doesn't allow taking food out.
- 5/5
Rooms are very neat and clean. Service was excellent, would definitely go back.
- 2/5
Having 2 people on staff for check in would be better, so you can have full attention of employee without them being on the phone with another person doing a reservation.
- 3/5
The property was old and not very clean. They said it was a smoking room, which I didn't see on the listing. The room we had could definitely use an upgrade.
- 4/5
We always go and spend time with a friend in the area so it makes it easy for us,
- 2/5
I booked a room with a king size bed. Prepaid. Arrived late at night and tired. Room we were given was two small beds. Too tired to argue. :(.
- 2/5
Your Staunton, VA location is the pitts. I met the owners and they were good people. However the room was dark and dingy, the A/C was unstable and very noisy. the breakfast was okay but was pretty much out by 8am when we got there, including the milk. The overnight person couldn't care less.
- 5/5
Very clean, nicely renovated rooms, excellent value.
- 1/5
Very run down. Breakfast was scarce and terrible. Would not stay here again.
- 4/5
This was a good, clean hotel room, not too far off the highway, at a very reasonable price. But some of the furniture in the room looked like it had been damaged by some previous guest. Had to be careful not to knock the luggage stand over, as it had a loose leg. Fridge did not have freezer compartment.
- 4/5
All very nice
- 5/5
Nice and quiet stay.
- 2/5
Do know why they expect you to sleep in a room with stink bugs. If this is a going concern I think guest should know about this.😡
- 3/5
We stay there on our way back to Massachusetts and the hotel was off the highway. We didn't expect much. It room was on the first floor beneath stairs going up. The breakfast was limited and the staff kept eyes on all of us and put stuff away and turn off the light at exactly 10 am. The coffee ran out and the juice had only the water. It's a beautiful property and It's too bad that the service was not good. I didn't expect much and we only stayed for one night on the way home.
- 4/5
This place is close to the highway
- 1/5
The room was dirty the beds are horrible and people hanging outside all hours of the night seems to me that they are living in the hotel
- 1/5
I wont use Hotels.com again (after many years) if this is an example of economical offerings.
- 1/5
Booked a non smoking room. When we arrived I was told there were no non smoking rooms available. The clerk showed us three rooms and one smelled worse than the next. We chose the least smoked smelling one and checked in. The room was gross! There were cigarette burns in everything! There was a hole in the shade so we didn’t have full privacy from outside. The toilet didn’t flush…..it was gross! I called the front desk three times and got no answer. I could not wait to leave. When we checked out, we told the woman our concerns and she couldn’t have cared less. Please don’t waste your money!
- 5/5
There’s no much else around, but for a one night stop over, it exceeded our expectations at a very reasonable price. The beds seemed new and were very comfortable. Check in was smooth & easy. There’s no elevator, and breakfast was sparse, but we would definitely stay here again.
