Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Statesville

Traveled with precious cargo that we worried would be stolen overnight, but Greg told us where to park, gave us a room with a perfect view of the cargo, and assured us he would watch the cameras all night. And all was well!

Nice room, very comfortable beds, great breakfast and nice pool! We will definitely come back!

This place is a pretty standard 'road-side' hotel/motel, with a good location and plenty of parking. It has all the usual amenities. In my estimation, it's fairly new. Room was good, a decent size, comfortable and clean. Internet was good. The receptionists were a man under training and his female trainer who was doing a great job of prompting him when necessary, which actually wasn't often. Under her tutelage, he was doing just fine and it was nice to see the way they worked together. Several things could be better. For example, inter room noise transmission. I could hear and understand a middle of the night conversation in an adjoining room where a man was explaining how "really deeply and .......... sorry I am" for something he'd obviously done. His partner had a lighter voice I couldn't understand and I don't know whether the apology was accepted. The breakfast was abysmal. They'd run out of bread. When I asked the receptionist (the only member of the hotel staff around) if she could arrange for some, she replied "I don't work there but I'll see what I can do". A snotty reply which made me feel I shouldn't have disturbed her staring into her computer screen. The standard reply would be "Oh, thank you for letting me know. I'll get someone to deal with it" I met the young woman whose job was to keep breakfast supplies current and she was apologising because 'all she has was bread rolls' (perfectly adequate) and looked thoroughly depressed and demoralised about it. At 8.50am, I also had the last turkey patty. Apparently they were pretty scarce in the kitchen and still no one to ask. The final 'didn't like' was the attitude of the same receptionist (an older woman) on leaving. I handed her the room keys. Without a smile or other acknowledgment she simply said "Good Morning" not removing her eyes from the screen, no "have a good day" no "I trust you enjoyed your stay" "hope to see you again", nothing. The "good morning" was delivered with all the distain, disinterest and superciliousness of some medical receptionists who assume they have all the impressive qualifications of their employers and treat patients with all the arrogance and disregard of some senior surgeons or highly qualified medical consultants. Unfortunately, I've come across legal junior administrative staff, who have the same attitude.

The older lady at the hotel was not very accommodating we asked if any room cleaned if we can check in earlier as most hotels always allow this if a room is ready as we had 2 babies and two kids 5 and 6. The shower was clogged and over flowed as someone should check on that in room 105. The pool was ice cold it might as well be an ice plung so we didn’t get to swim the first day. The last day it was a bit warmer so we tried it again. The movies on the tv didn’t work. The fool was do able but you might as well go to Cracker Barrel which is right down the street. Another guest and us tried to tell the kitchen staff that the pancakes were out and he said it shouldn’t be instead of checking it as if we were lying. When the guy and I and another guess tried it the only thing that came out was watery gunk. The coffee was out and they milk as well one day. If only they had high end hotels in Statesville I would not be staying here, this was the only decent we can find in the area.

Sleeping area was very clean, bathroom was spotless. Each bed had an assortment of different pillows. We stayed 3 days and breakfast menu was different each day. Didn't care for the scrambled eggs because they were watery and tasteless. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Fairfield location was convenient even though it was off of the intersection of I-77 at highway 20. Plenty of nearby restaurants and a gas station on the right side of the road for a quick fill up in the morning.

This was a decent place to stay for an overnight stay when traveling from Florida to Pittsburgh. It wasn't a direct exit from route 77 but easy enough to get on/off. Breakfast was really good with eggs, waffles (you made fresh), fruit, cereals, etc. The rooms were comfortable, and the shower was nice and hot. Plenty of towels and washcloths too. The soap and body lotion were one-time use only, but I usually bring my own anyway. Liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower.

My family and I enjoyed our stay, property and room was clean, I needed a couple of extras from the staff and they took care of my needs with no problem and with a smile.

Clean rooms, breakfast was good, breakfast area was nice, was able to use the the area to spend time with family to play games and hang out. The staff even offered other games if we were interested. We were visiting family, overall we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely stay again!

We stayed 2 nights and had breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The Saturday morning breakfast needed replenishing at 9:15. There were 2 people working the breakfast service. The waffle batter was empty, utensils were running out, no yogurt, milk was running out. No fruit. When the waffle batter was refilled, I had to ask for sugar free syrup. it was begrudgingly provided. Everything was full just before 10:00 but that was at the end of the serving time. Sunday morning breakfast was MUCH better and only staffed by one person who did a great job! Other than that, everything else was great.

Everything was wonderful except the shower backed up immediately and if not dealt with, would have overflowed onto the floor. I don’t enjoy cleaning hair out of a drain, especially when it is not mine.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in while traveling. Exceptional! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Clean appearance. Nice curb appeal. Friendly front desk staff. Easy parking. 1. The beds. Too hard. I didn’t sleep well any of my four nights there. 2. Breakfast. Coffee bar was not kept stocked. By 8:00 A.M. the creamer pitcher was empty. I asked the attendant to please put in more, but he said no, and suggested that I use the individual, small containers. The eggs nor the meat looked good so I didn’t get anything.

From the lady at breakfast to the ladies checking us in and out. Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows! Check-in lady was great but she struggled on the new system. Took a while to get complete check in process.

Hotel server feels like they don't care about the customer. Had several issues with the room And they seem to just not care. They also refused to refund 1 night as I had a emergency and needed to leave and just rather keep there money then help a customer out. Will not be staying with them anymore

Frequent flashing lights from the smoke detecter. They said all the rooms were like that and offered a sleep mask which I cannot use and the front desk staff could care less. Ridiculous to expect guests to deal with this and also to expect guest to get dressed to retrieve a mask if they are able to use one...especially since it was 2 in the morning.

From the wonderful ease of check in with the AMAZING Vickie to entering a room that was absolutely spotless our stay was fabulous! Breakfast was a great way to wake up after a super restful night; homemade waffles, an oatmeal bar and fresh coffee tickled my nose and lead me out of the room even before I could enjoy the huge, amply stocked pristine shower with exquisite water pressure...but I enjoyed it after breakfast! Kudos to the staff who went so far above and beyond to make our stay phenomenal! We will be back! 😍

Quiet comfortable. No hair dryer--ugh, the one time I did not pack one!---very clean no odors in hotel which is a huge bonus. Perfecrly apointed room furniture and outlets---forgot my charging brick and theor outlets had USB ports that charged my devices. The overall feeling of safe when I got out of my car was very welcome. Will stay here for all my future trips to the area.

Great new hotel, staff very friendly. Our room was very quiet and comfortable.

A/C was super loud in the room. We could hear the neighbors very clearly through the walls. Front desk guy was rather brusque when I asked about coffee. Breakfast left a little to desire. Eggs were more soup than scrambled. Toaster didn't actually toast; just made warm. Location was near the interstate & lots of food choices. Bed & pillows were awesome.

Parking was easy and the gym was pretty nice.

The young man in charge that evening was a delight, so helpful & friendly. He was respectful, polite & courteous. (I believe his name was Dallas. Truly an asset to the hotel! The bed was comfortable. The room had ample lighting. The flavored water in the lobby along with a pick of tea bags for a cup pot of hot tea were welcome additions! My husband & I appreciated the National Oreo celebration also. :)

The Fairfield Inn and Suites at Statesville, NC is at the top of our list of places to stay. The breakfast selection is exceptionally good with lots of tasty choices. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff members are friendly and helpful. After a stay here on the way to our destination, we made sure to come back on our return trip home.

I asked front desk staff who was curt and to unconcerned “blew me off” with a vague “ maybe a truck was coming soon???!” On the subject of front desk staff, the were often absent at the front desk where there should be a convenience and safety concern. I often had to search for them in the back office and all were uniformly unfriendly. I would not stay again.

Kim and Dallas are amazing!! The entire staff was so kind, gracious and accommodating. It was so nice to stay at this hotel. Safe, clean and all the standard things were all great, but the people there really made the difference. We had an important family gathering and they were great hosts for us. I sincerely am going to try to go up the chain for recognition for their efforts. So… I definitely recommend this hotel.

Cons: I paid for a King bed. Upon arrival I was told they sold out. I asked how I could have reserved one if there wasn’t one available. I got an “I don’t know” look from staff. No concessions were offered, not even an apology. Also, breakfast options are limited. A person cannot eat healthy. The fruit was either inedible because it was past its time or not ripe enough yet. The yogurt had no zero sugar or high protein options. And you cannot convince me that the eggs are made in a skillet from hand cracked farm fresh eggs.

Easy off and back on 77

Everything was great accept the pillows were very flat and after laying in the bed all night the springs hurt my hips. The breakfast options were very nice. I asked for a room with a tub but only got a shower. The water pressure and temperature was amazing though.

We had never stayed at the Statesville, NC Fairfield Inn but had often stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Rockhill, SC. The Statesville Fairfield Inn looked and felt brand new. Fairfield Inn has become my go to. Lovely rooms, great breakfasts and great service!
