My family & I stayed here for a weekend on vacation. The pictures do NOT fully represent what this place actually looks like. The main lobby was decent looking that’s about it. The room numbers are not in order. Our room was on the back side where all types of strange ppl were. Lots of ppl actually living there unfortunately. The room isn’t like an open suite room it’s just 2 rooms connected with an overly used couch in the second room that has just a sink microwave & refrigerator. We put stuff against the doors because it didn’t feel like it was secure. A woman had 2 pits barking every so often next door. Upstairs there was loud disturbing noses at 12/1 am. (Maintenance dis get them to stop though). There was a roach in my suitcase when we came back from being out. A spider above one of the beds. The lights were either dim or completely blowed except the mirror light over the sink. Glad my family & I had somewhere to stay but we won’t be returning.

When pulling into the front door of thw lobby it was very clean. As I walked up to the counter in the lobby I was greeted by an professional resevationist. He informed me as he pointed to the area where the contenetial breakfast would be located (and it was clean). The only reason I needed to call the front desk was to get instructions on operating the air condition in the room. And they were helpful/courteous. When I arrived back to the property after 11pm (each night) there was no noticiable noise coming from rooms nor the surrounding property and could park without any problem. I would recommend this Choice property and I have re-booked it for my return in July. Thank you for the upkeep of your property Choice Hotels.

This was a decently priced hotel that gave us a clean quiet place to rest. Amenities were included. Staff were nice. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Great place to stop while on the road.

Very old property, old bed sheets and just about everything is old and gloomy. Only one towel in the bath room. Pictures are completely deceiving. The 8.2 customer rating is managed. Cannot be real.

This was a great spot for our stay during the bowling tournament. The staff was helpful and the room was clean. The breakfast was ok. Would love to have had some meat and eggs.

Also, people appeared to be living there and were working on cars in the parking lot.

The location mid town was good for our needs. An older building meant to be updated but needs work. Heard full conversations all night from neighboring room. Wifi did not work for us, they decided it was our problem, but connection page wouldn't load on several devices.

Don't let that deceive you! The air conditioning did not work in our room and the bed was like sleeping on plywood! I would not stay there again...... Go elsewhere......

Breakfast is missing any hot food like eggs etc. The washer and dryer are outside. Our door wouldn't shut and when they fixed it, it was misaligned so it wouldn't deadbolt. There were stains on the under sheet. No one cleans your room or makes your bed, etc, if you stay more than one day. They wait til you leave. Very loud outside.

We usually stay here on our migration North. The online price is very good. It looks like an older hotel from the outside but the rooms are clean and updated. Vinyl floors which feel cleaner than carpet. All doors are steel outside entry. It has 2 floors so pick the first floor if you don't want to do stairs. Plenty of parking. Close to interstate. Wall control room temp. Large comfy king bed with plenty of pillows. Coffee maker, hair dryer, fridge and microwave in room. Breakfast has yogurt, cereal, muffins, fruit and a waffle maker. You will hear road noise and your neighbors even with the fan on constant speed. The pool was not open for the season yet. Good overnight stay.

On the bright side the front desk staff did try to help me get Internet however was unsuccessful.

The manager when checking in was sullen and generally unpleasant. He originally gave us a horrible room that looked dirty and smelled bad. We had to ask for another room and he was not happy about it. When I asked the manager, he told me they had a full breakfast. They did not. The bed and pillows were older and uncomfortable. I won't stay there again.

A decent 2 star motel conveniently located. I saw it had a rating of over 8 and chose it. I don't know how ot got that rating. 6 is generous with it. Fair continental breakfast.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after a long day. While the breakfast options could have been a bit more varied, the quality was still good. Overall, it was a solid experience, and I would stay here again in the future.

Hotel was located near a lot of restaurants. Walking distance to Waffle House. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was sparse but adequate. Parking was limited especially if you wanted to park near your room. We had a pet with us as well. Accommodating for the pet as well! Overall it was a good 1 night stay. We would definitely stay here again.

They re going through remodeling so it’s messy outside but inside the room is not bad. Clean but I feel like it’s too small for four people. Too many people around the property and I felt uncomfortable. I found out that cops came to the hotel for drugs bust a week before our stay. So I didn’t feel safe.

Parking was inconvenient for the rooms in the inner courtyard. Only 5 spaces. One was handicapped. One for veterans which only left 3 for entire row of rooms in inner courtyard.

First room toilet was plugged 2 room we had a flood no reimbursement for anything always had to ask for towels had to ask to get my butt changed. I had to take out my own garbage most of the time so I would not recommend yes that did come with a free breakfast, but it was all bread and cereal he’ll related no eggs.

Very clean!! It was a decent place to stay for the value. Very very neat. New paint and floors. Nice employees. I could say it over and over (VERY CLEAN) The bed was hard. I guess if you like hard beds you would be fine!!!!! We are used to luxury beds. Also the WAKE UP CALL!!? We never asked for a wake up call but yet they called us every morning to wake us up?!!! So check to make sure they don’t do that if you don’t need it!!! They apologized and said it was a mistake… but it was so rude to do that when we didn’t ask for it.

The lady at the front desk is always friendly and welcoming every time we come, which really makes a difference in the overall experience. I also appreciate how convenient the location is. For the price, the rooms are pretty decent and comfortable, making it a solid option for a budget-friendly stay. I didn’t like that the rooms didn’t appear to be properly cleaned. There were loose hairs on the floor and even some on the shower wall, which was very off-putting for me. I’m particularly sensitive to that, so it made the experience uncomfortable. Other than that, the rooms were fairly comfortable. With better sweeping and proper wipe-downs, this place could easily be one of the best options for the price.

I didn't realize the room doors were on the exterior of the building. That's a bit of a safety issue for me personally, but it also makes it a bit noisy. You can hear casual conversation on the sidewalk and cars right outside the door. A white noise app on my phone took care of that. The staff was very nice. No hot breakfast like eggs and bacon. The only thing hot was waffles and anything you toasted.

Not a plush hotel, but it had everything that was necessary for a comfortable overnight stay. Everything’s was clean.

The room was excellent and I really liked the staff especially the main guy at the front was very professional and good at hospitality. I felt safe and it was quiet except unfortunately there is some state police thing so I kept hearing police cars take off. It’s also kinda cheap so anytime you go cheap sometimes the other guests look a little rough but I had no problems and didn’t hear anyone. The area is excellent with a grocery store and great pizza place in a very short walking distance.

Checked in, went to car to get luggage the man that registered us in came around the corner and was rude didn't remember me checking inn. People in next room were up at 4:30 very noisy and loud. Did not get any rest. Pictures showed place was very nice, I guess the next time I will be spectacle before booking.

Clean room, comfortable bed. We had a suite and it was spacious. Basically the size of two rooms. There was no door separating the sitting area from the bedroom, though. Breakfast, while included, was very limited. There were no hot options, other than the waffle maker.

This is a wonderful place to stay the staff are great! The location is surrounded by many amenities within walking distance. And in a quiet location.The breakfast is limited it's complimentary. The pricing is reasonable. Just 10/10 in my opinion.

The room smelled bad, but I decided instead of asking for another room & it was only one night I would deal with it. It was much cheaper than other hotels so I knew it wouldn't be as nice as a $150 & up. Staff was very nice and professional.I doubt I would stay again.

Floor was dirty, one of the beds had bed springs broken, causing me to almost fall out of bed several times. Customer staying in room behind us was smoking weed, we could smell it in our room, expected a little better conditions considering what I paid for the room. I didn’t say anything to the hotel staff, it was top priority on my list, seeing my son before he was cremated was my only priority while I was in Statesville North Carolina

If you’re looking for a single night stay and don’t mind the door not sealing completely (daylight was visible nearly all the way around) this place is okay. It’s clearly a dated location with some upgrades to shower sink furniture and flooring but other areas need replacing like the ac unit and door. The staff treated me as if I had interrupted an important phone rather than a welcoming one.

The pillows were all thick and heavy. I woke with a stiff neck. It'd be nice to have extra blanket and options for pillows.

The hotel outside is dated. We had to climb outside stairs with luggage to get to the second floor. We stayed two nights and heard ambulances and people arriving and talking very loudly in the night hours. Multiple Stink Bugs in the room. Dust and dirt around the edges is the room, especially the bathroom.

Terrible neighborhood. Police were called. Several rooms were occupied by homeless people. Breakfast was a joke. Crime scene unit was there. I will just pay more next time and stay somewhere safe.

I used to live around the corner for many years. I know what the condition used to be. They came in and did a good job on this one. Very clean, quiet, nice!

The room itself is fine. AC, TV, outlets all worked. I believe everything was clean and laundered, but it was all stained. The walls, towels and sheets all had stains.

This was the cleanest nicest two star hotel I’ve ever stayed in!

Looked like the room was recently renovated. Had quartz countertops and newer lighting fixtures. Not perfect but I was very happy with this place. Would definitely stay there again. Checked in overnight and the front desk associate was quick and funny.

Lights around the mirrors and room were so dim and the ceiling was peeling. Having a thermostat was a failure. The room stayed at temp but then the unit turned off and you could hear the vent flap slamming and people outside then it would kick back on and you could fall asleep to be awakened again by the unit turning off. The rooms looked nice but the bed was not comfortable either. The breakfast was good.

Microwave nor the refigerator worked. King bed was against the wall so one person had to climb in. Only one side had a light and electric. Bathroom sink was behind the door. You had to come out and close the door to use the sink. Non smoking room someone had smoked in. They gave us Febreeze.

I didn’t realize that this was a motel and not a hotel. I prefer the safety of hotels when traveling by myself. But the motel was fine and I was on my way in the morning.

Very dated property. My non-smoking room smelled like an ash tray. Check-in was great -person at the desk was awesome. Check-out not so good - guy couldn’t even make eye contact since he was too busy playing poker on his phone.

The accommodations were fine and the breakfast was good, but we did not get a good night’s sleep both nights!! There were people in the parking lot and outside our window until way past midnight, laughing, talking, yelling, playing music etc. :( The parking lot was full both nights and I know it was a Friday and Saturday, and as a motel you’re more likely to get outside noise, but this was ridiculous. Can’t the hotel monitor this? Even young children were up at that hour!! It’s like people were living there or something. For that reason I wouldn’t stay here again.

This motel is NOT acceptable for families and is full of “live-in” residents with doors propped wide open, chairs outside of the rooms and men visible in their underwear! My 10yr niece was scared and cried that she felt unsafe. I had my 84yr mother, daughter and 2 grandchildren (4&6yrs) with me and had booked 2 rooms. I had already checked us in and didn’t even move our luggage to the rooms and decided to book a different hotel for the night. The manager “Alkesh” would not refund my money. This place is ghetto and should not be booked by families or women.

There was a large party in the parking lot that went in to the early morning hours - the smell of weed was all about and nobody from the hotel even checked the area (no observation of quiet time hours)

the lobby seemed fresh... and or newly renovated so i was hopeful... the girl checking me in was friendly enough... she made sure to emphasize no smoking in the room or my credit card wld be charged... and i had to sign acknowledging same... but i'm pretty sure they designate the old smoking rooms for ppl with pets... b/c the room had a stale smokey smell and u cannot get that out... i asked her about that - when i had to walk back b/c my keycard wldnt work... she said the whole property was smoke free... the room wasnt what i wld consider nice... it was damp... and had a stale cigarette odour...but to be fair i do have a keen sense of smell... the bed was old and tired/lumpy... with foam pillows... not my favorite... but the towels were soft... overall the room was tired... i can't speak to the quality of the breakfast - as i left before it was available...but i like a hotel that offers it... parking was free - and right outside ur door - i like that too... i gather they offer long term stays - as there were some pretty rough looking ppl congregating - smoking... and it's never fun to hafta walk thru that when travelling alone.. i likely wldn't go back... other chains that accomodate a pet do a better job...

As a stop over between our end goal, this motel met our needs for a place to stay. The continental breakfast was basic with limited selections, but it sufficed.

Stayed 1 night while traveling. Will stay again if in the area.

Needed a pet friendly place and didn’t want to pay a lot of money however was disappointed in the condition as it was rated pretty good. Employees were great but smelled like cigarette smoke, bed was not comfortable and made noises that freaked us out. Door jam looked like it had been broken into before and didn’t seem to really lock. If we weren’t so tired from moving, already paid for the hotel and had to check in during the middle of the night, we likely would not have stayed.

The proberty is a rehabbed old motel. The door seals are non existant so the sound travel in from room next door and outside. The "breakfast" was a minimal free breakfast type with very limited selections.

We asked for a handi cap room with walk in shower. The room was not handicapped. My mother couldn't get on the bed. She has mobility problems. The bed to tall. We ended up with a tub. It was hard for to get in to. No none skid things in the tub. She almost fell. Will be asking for a refund. And will share my experience on face book.

We only stayed for one night on our trip home. The room smelled like old cigarettes and it definitely needs some updating. However the staff was extremely nice and very helpful.

I’m only noting these things for women that may be traveling/stopping by themselves. I never felt unsafe but was just surprised as the reviews I read on the hotel gave it very high marks. I’d say it’s more of a moderate hotel.

Room smelled like an ash tray even though it was supposedly a non smoking room. Bathroom door had obviously been punched at some point and then poorly repaired.

We didn’t like how far off freeway it was located.

The hotel clerk announced our room number in front of people in the lobby (We are Mom and teen daughter traveling alone). Bed sheet had a brown stain on it. The bathroom light would turn off and on randomly.

Breakfast was very mediocre, coffee was weak, two types of cereal very few pastries or bagels, no peanut butter for the bread. Could of had done eggs and biscuits with gravy.

Did not like that the king bed was against the wall. Made it hard for the second person to get in the bed.

Good value for money. Pleasant staff, hot showers and comfortable bed.

While there our stay was only overnight, the staff ensured our stay was enjoyable! We got a room assigned that smelled like someone had smocked in it, but we were quickly redirected to a clean non-smoking room.

Very unsafe. Random people walking around trying to open doors. A drugged lady in parking in her car almost hitting other cars. Then she parked and was fading in and out.

Room smelled of weed, room key deactivated at 11pm at which there was a sign at the desk. Be back in 5 minutes. Had to ask for a remote for the TV as there was not one in our room.

The motel appeared to have several individuals doing drugs on the floor directly above our room we were given a Non smoking room that wreaked like cigarette smoke. The bedding was stained and dirty. The overall property was disgusting. We immediately left and booked another hotel, so disgusting.

Room was noisy. Safety was a concern. Free breakfast had extremely limited selection. Have never experienced a continental breakfast that didnt even offer decaf coffee.

Very clean & comfortable! 15$ for my lil dog was no problem to pay for the room. The morning manager was fabulous, went the extra mile to provide road coffee well before breakfast service.

Clean, well maintained, surprisingly quiet, I didn’t think it would be at first but understand I’m used to rural living. Had difficulty understanding HVAC controls, two sets of them.

Check in was good, friendly service, quick check in. Room was clean, nothing special. breakfast nothing special. Overall, a good place to stay for a night. Location right off interstate so can be a bit noisy.

I took the kids to the game room which was locked down. I was able to have the front desk clerk unlock it for us just to lose money in the machines.There were Used needles in the parking lot. Nonstop noise throughout the night. I will not stay there ever again.

Nice hotel but partially ruined by the guests above who were arguing and letting their baby cry nonstop for hours starting at about 2 am.

The lock on the door did not function correctly making my wife not feeling safe .Alan S.

Pet friendly place to stay on trip to Florida. Easy access, just off highway. Check in was great, and woman at front desk gave us recommendation for local pizza place.

The place was fine for a one night stay. Our room was right at the front of the property so there was some noise from the busy road it's on. It was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities showed their age in some places, but overall a decent place for the price.

Honestly, I selected this hotel based on the price but also on the very high reviews. When I arrived with my reservation, the front desk person was phenomenal, and when I happen to mention that the hotel had such high review she turned and smiled and said we work real hard for our reviews we really want our people to have a good day. And we did so thank you very much I would recommend this hotel to anyone anytime in next time I'm in this area that's the hotel I'll be choosing.

Clean and comfortable

This is a good hotel for the price. Free WiFi was good and dependable. Only downside was I had a cool shower with no water pressure on my final day. 😑

Great place to stay for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was great.

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel. We were in town due to a family member being hospitalized. The proximity of the hotel to the hospital was perfect. Highly recommend it if you find yourself in similar circumstances. The only negative is the mattress is pretty firm for my liking, but my boyfriend found it comfortable, so not really a negative, more personal preference.

Did not appreciate the great amount of cigarette butts 3 ft. from our exterior door!!!
