The checked in process was nice and my room was clean and comfortable. However, the area was kind of skechy, I saw people slept on street in front of the hotel and people smoking weed right outside the front entrance. I would never book this hotel again.

The TV was very good sized. Chairs were comfortable and an adequate number of them. Tissue and Toilet paper checked. I am all for saving money by not changing linens daily or making up the room. However, It would be nice if a maid entered the room just to check if toilet paper and/or Kleenex needed refilling.

The Bar , could of been open a little earlier due to it being a holiday weekend . Also the Food to pricey for what it was .

Staff was very friendly and helpful. In a good location. Shops, stores & restaurants very close by and beach wasn't to far (about 15-20 minutes away). Has a kitchen you can order food. Breakfast wasn't free. It may have said that but I'm not sure.

Front desk staff friendly and helpful. A shower cap and make-up remover towelettes would have been appreciated. The bottom of the tub needs to have the residue from whatever was stuck to it removed. The work area was cramped. Sitting in the chair beside the AC unit was very cold and the fan speed was too high. Lack of breakfast rolls or pastries. I was disappointed ai did not receive credit for my stay. I was told it was because I did not book directly with the hotel or through the IHG website.

Not what I was expecting, I had to visit the front desk three times to request sheets for the pull-out bed. Additionally, the toilet was broken and the bathtub was clogged. Finally, when I attempted to use the laundry facilities, the front desk informed me that the store was out of laundry soap, despite advertisements stating it was available.

Close proximity to my event Apparently was biker weekend, they parked under awning in front and had a party in front of the building. Was noisy and hard to enter and exit. The vent in bathroom was covered in who knows what, and all the caulking in bathroom especially around the commode was like the commode leaked, let’s just caulk it instead of fix it.

The staff were super nice. Most things were clean but the pool could have been a little cleaner. The mattresses for both beds in our room were lumpy. The toilet was rocking and we were afraid it was going to break off. The knob to turn the water on the bath/shower was extremely loose and almost came off in my hand. We told the front desk about the problems. We declined to have them come work on it while we were there because we didn't want to be bothered. No way to fix the lumpy mattress short of replacing them but hopefully they fixed the problems in the bathroom.

Everything and the Bar was a plus :) There were groups of people at the hotel entrance with motorcycles, drinking and smoking w**d. It created an uncomfortable and chaotic environment, especially walking through with my family. This kind of behavior was not appropriate for a hotel setting.

Easy to find, large carpark, friendly staff, easy check in/out, clean and tidy. Not the hotel's fault but we had some rather noisey people in the next room who returned late. We could hear all their conversation through the inlinking door.

Second night of my stay I had a knock on my door at 4am stating that I texted this person to come over. My daughter and I had NO knowledge of who this person was. I called the front desk several times and did not get and answer. I called IGH that night and several times while I was in Tampa and all that’s happening is I’m getting the run around. I was told I would get a call from the hotel manager and an email from holiday inn explaining what happened and I yet to receive anything from anyone. The big lady that came barging in should have never been able to come to my room. You need a key fob to get into the hotel lobby and she was let in by the front door staff. What business does anyone have at 4am other than a “working girl”! This should have never happened and we are furious! Even more furious because holiday inn will not do anything about it. They claim it was both parties fault that this happened. How could it be my fault when we were both sleeping and I had no idea who this person was. Even if I did that means I would have gone to the lobby and let this person in the hotel which never happened. I think what would have happened if my daughter answered the door instead of me! Don’t let this happen to you or your family! I would not stay there or at any other Holiday Inn because if something like this should happen to you they would not take any responsibility! STAY AWAY FROM HOLIDAY INNS OR EXPRESS! THEY ARE HERE JUST FOR YOUR MONEY NOT FOR YOUR SAFETY! THEY SUCK!!!

Excellent hotel may not have been in the best area but it was close by everything and conveniently located. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff was friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options each morning. Great experience overall and I would definitely stay here again.

The beds were good, but too soft, i would say, "Breakfast, but that was an extra charge As soon as I opened the door, you could see the dirty carpet, The TV moved too slowly when changing channels, the bathroom was the worst, I Purchased a bathmat just to get in the tub, the tub Appeared Dirty, not sure If stained or not, and there were also no towel racks to hang anything on the only rack they had was right above the toilet, where as if you flushed, the germs would fly up to the tower rack...disuseting

It was good value for money Front desk staff were not very friendly, still waiting for the hold on my card to be removed after nearly a month.

Quick stay while in Florida. Room was acceptable. Didn’t get a chance to check out any other amenities as we were out and about. Staff were nice and plenty of parking. Very convenient location for our trip.

The room was fine. Comfortable beds, refrigerator, roomy. The only criticism was that the bathroom really needs to be updated. The bathtub was outdated, the wall behind the toilet warped.

breakfast was better the earlier you got there...room and cleanliness was great. The entire staff was absolutely great!! They always greeted us no matter if we were there all day or just coming in and out from excursions. They had a totally pleasant and positive attitude and truly made us feel we were their guests, even sharing stories to uplift us us. Since we are late risers we wished the breakfast lasted a bit longer.

The location There was nothing I didn't like

The safety and location of the hotel is extremely tough especially if you are staying with kids. Lots of homeless wandering the property and there was lots of noise. Staff is nice and hotel breakfast is descent but property is aged.

I will definitely be coming back to stay here the next time I’m in St. Petersburg!

We booked because or other hotel we wanted got canceled, so we booked holiday inn , got there and room smelled and I asked maid if it was clean she wasn’t sure but I told my husband didnt look like it so went back to front desk she said it was we left and called and canceled , went to our first hotel and they charged us 100 more because we couldn’t book either booking . Com again it said no rooms available but they had 2 , very frustrating but much better hotel

Check in was great with Asia! She was dressed and spoke professional. The next day we went down to eat breakfast which was ok nothing great but there were 2 kids all over the place unsupervised, playing with the cereal machine, letting it pour without anything under it and playing with the drinking water dispenser, letting it run without anything under. I told my husband how come nobody watching these kids!! After breakfast we went down to check out, we saw the same kids behind the front desk gave me the impression of they were the front desk lady's kids (I think her name was Tiffany) they were still misbehaving behind there as well. The front desk experience went from great to poor immediately unfortunately. She was dressed up poorly and her kids should not have been there in the first place, forget the fact that they were a bad distraction to everyone in the lobby and breakfast buffet area.

Most of the staff were friendly. The breakfast attendant was very nice. Bad part of town, the property needs a rehab, carpet and flooring and everything in the room felt dingy, the room smelled like urine covered up by cleaning product, very expensive for a subpar stay.

Loved that the area was close to the beaches and malls! Definitely a great spot to save money, but still be in gem of a spot that happens to be near historic kendwood!

Checking is went smoothly, got to my room and everthing was clean beside right when you open the door there was something sticky on the floor. The AC would not get cold at all. Luckily i was only there 2 nights and it was chilly in the mornings and nights i did get there

I did not use the pool. Yes there are shops nearby but the location is not good. Many homeless people in the area.

We arrived after the 3:00pm check in time and were told our room was not ready and that we should wait about 30 minutes which we did. We sat near the bar on barstools and waited. We noticed the bar counter was teaming with ants. We had placed a couple snacks. 30 minutes came and went, and we checked again with the reception desk and were told that the room was still not ready to wait another 10 or 15 minutes. After that we checked again and it still wasn’t ready and we decided we would go elsewhere. We advised the manager that we had made other arrangements. He told us he would advise Expedia.

The property itself was great. The room was clean. The bathrooms were clean. The towels were perfect. I have no complaints about the room. The problem I have is that when we got there, they didn’t have any rooms available that were cleaned. There was other guests waiting in the lobby so we sat from 3 o’clock until five before we could get our room. We weren’t offered a discount we weren’t offered anything. I think when basically you’re paying for a property from 3 to 11 the next morning and you’ve booked way ahead that that property should be ready. If not, I think that there’s a major problem somewhere.

I absolutely loved this hotel. We stayed for four days, and everything about the experience was fantastic. The location was super convenient being close to plenty of food, restaurants, and the beach. The hotel itself had great amenities, including a pool right outside with a hot tub and a walk-up bar, plus a nice bar and grill on-site for dinner. The staff was by far the best I’ve ever experienced in a hotel setting, delivering top-notch service throughout my stay. The room was very comfortable, especially the beds, which came with four pillows each. I also appreciated having essential bathroom items readily available. The breakfast was fantastic and a great way to start the day. I’ll definitely be staying here again.

The fee for breakfast that is a buffet style that you find for free in most other hotels. That the machines by the pool and hottub for people who have disabilities but wish to go into the water were inoperable.

The staff was friendly. The breakfast was great: however our room wasn’t clean. There was dirt and debris in the corners of the room of the bathroom. Carpet in the sleeping area was filthy. Nothing had been wiped down in our room like the counters, desk area etc. This COULD be a great hotel with some minor renovations and cleaning.

Carpets in hallway and room looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Also, we had to ask for soap and tissues. All the bottles in the bathroom were empty.

This building seems to have plumbing issues. When we arrived there was water pooled in the tub. Judging by the stains, it was a recurrent problem. There was a stain the width of the room on the ceiling, down the middle to the room, which looked like it could be caused by water. The sink was very slow at emptying. The morning of the day we were leaving, we woke up to a wet bathroom floor and a large bubble in the ceiling that was leaking. We were moved to another room. That room had the same stain in the ceiling and the deadbolt on the door didn’t work.

The breakfast bar was excellent and the food was fresh and warm. The hostess during my 2 day stay was Asia and she was phenomenal.

The refrigerator rattled the entire time I stayed there. The bathroom was stained and dirty so I couldn’t shower. I mentioned all of this to the am desk clerk and she offered no apologies or discounts. I had to check out a day early which the hotel clerk and Expedia rep was notified and I was told I would not be charged but refunded the second day in which the hotel rate was higher than I agreed to upon booking the hotel room. The floor of the room was dirty- my new white slippers became blackened on the bottom, and other peoples hair on the soles. I wiped the slippers each night. I was there but the next day it happened again. I found the bed a little high for me as I am mobility impaired, however, it was super comfortable. I very much appreciated the coffee maker, and the microwave in the room.

I travel extensively and have stayed in all types of hotels. This is probably one of the dirtiest Ihg properties I have ever stayed in. The sheets on one of the beds have hair and footprints on them almost as if somebody stepped on it with dirty sneakers. Part of the baseboard is hanging off the wall, the bathtub was dirty, and I had to rinse it out before I could use the shower. The sheets that go over the the box springs appear to be stained with what looks like could be urine, but I am hoping that it is coffee or something like that.

Part of the baseboard is hanging off the wall, the bathtub was dirty, and I had to rinse it out before I could use the shower. The sheets that go over the the box springs appear to be stained with what looks like could be urine, but I am hoping that it is coffee or something like that.

Great location close to the beaches with plenty of parking and super friendly staff! The rooms are spacious, which is a big plus. However, the hotel could definitely use a deep cleaning and refresh to bring it up to par. Overall, it's a solid choice for a beach (about 20-25 min away) getaway, but a bit of TLC would make it even better.

Room was clean the first day. Asked housekeeper for clean towels and washcloths. She gave me one and saw we were a couple. Said they were coming back to clean room. Never showed up to touch room including pulling dirty towels. No linen changed at all.

It was also not safe at all there! We left immediately and found a new place. They would NOT refund my money-so an I pensive lesson learned here. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Room wasn't clean- obviously not vacuumed as there were a ton of crumbs on the floor. Disgusting old sticky carpet. Wouldn't take my shoes off inside the room. Only decaf coffee inside room. No water in the gymn. Front desk staff was very nice .

This place was a horrible disaster! I booked a different hotel, the day before my trip Expedia changed my booking to this place. I arrived late in the evening and immediately felt unsafe in the parking lot. My friend and I checked in and within 20 minutes it looked like Jurassic World in our room. We were on the 4th floor and there was a lizard in the bathroom. I went downstairs for help (because the room phone didn't work & they didn't answer the landline when I called from my cell) the were 2 men working the front desk, neither one helped me. One made a joke about the lizard lives on bugs so there won't be any bugs in my room if I leave him alone. The other have me a room key to another room and told me I can move to another room if I want to. On my way up to my Jurassic room, I located the new room and upon entering was overwhelmed with the smell of weed and the room hasn't been cleaned. Beds were messy, towels on the bathroom floor, trash can full... by the time I got back to Jurassic World, my friend had caught the lizard. We released it outside, gave the front desk the key back for the other room and I explained that it wasn't an option because it was filthy and smelled like weed. The guy said, 'That's fine if you don't want my help.' When I got back to my room I was greeted by another lizard! We checked out and the hotel NEVER DID refund me a dime. They charged me for 4 nights! Don't stay here!!!

Hotel carpet needs to be cleaned or changed badly. Pool floor was dirty, guest are drinking and smoking by/in the pool. I was itching the whole stay. Not really recommended to stay with kids .

They had good quality soap and shampoo for guests. It was quiet to sleep at night and was nearby many convenient places.

I had to switch rooms four times. Every room had an issue not fixed, and the scents of their rooms on the pool side and parking lot side were significantly different - one side smelled nice and clean, and the other side smelled of mildew.

- Microwave was not cleaned before we got there, there was food all at the top and sides of the microwave. We just wanted to heat up some water for tea. - The drainage in the Shower/bath is very slow when taking a shower, so water accumulates which is very annoying.

This hotel was ok we stayed the night but it definitely could've been cleaner. The sheets had an unusual smell not dirty but like they weren't dry fast enogh and with bleach just didnt have thag nice clean smell, floor was dirty and the liner in the ice bucket wasn't even changed. The staff was very friendly and the location is central and only 18bminutes from the beaches but it wasn't super cheap so I dont think I wouls stay here again.

Awful experience , dirty old hotel. The toilet in my room did not flush, it is in a weird area and the front desk people were not friendly. Also they make you give $150 deposit that you can’t get back for 7/10 days .

I love how they had Dove hands soap. Shower gel is Dove! It’s was amazing. Felt so good. The bed was so comfortable. I had an excellent stay. I love how the room is laid out. The moveable table. The mud room looking furniture next to mini refrigerator. The shower pressure was so good. I really enjoyed my stay.

Stayed on the first floor, the hotel could do a much better job of cleaning and keeping the rooms in good shape. There was caulking peeling in the shower and around the sink, and it was a little dirty. The AC was set to 60 degrees in the room when I arrived, still too cold, even for the St. Petersburg heat.

There is one old man that work there and every time I go there he is there and is not friendly. The only other thing is check in is at 3 but they never have rooms ready. Other than that the rooms are clean and nice. They do take a long time to refund your 100 dollar deposit

I had breakfast one morning & ordered the plain 2 pancakes. I received a bill of $11.96, Yikes!!!! Should have gone to Denny's, and would have gotten 3 breakfasts. Never again.

The staff, particularly Pat at the bar, was great. The food considering a limited bar type menu was also surprisingly good. The pool area is very large with plenty of seating and space with outdoor access to the bar. The property, while seemingly renovated, is already looking dingy and not what I would call super clean. It was fine for what we were here for, which was a baseball tournament with teenagers, but I don’t think I would seek it out as my first choice again.

I was impressed that they text me after i was in my room for awhile and asked how the room was.

Unfortunately, the room didn’t meet my expectations. The listing mentioned multiple beds and a king bed, but in reality, it only had a king, daybed and a trundle bed. It would be much better if the description accurately reflected the room’s setup. Additionally, including more photos would help manage expectations. Now I understand why there was only one photo of the room on Expedia—it’s misleading.

My family and I stayed at the inn because we were on a 2 day college tour and we need a place to stay for a night. It was pretty clean in general but certain spots needed a clean, it had body wash and shampoo, we didn’t use them because we had our own stuff but if you need them they are there. The bathroom was pretty clean. Overall I rate it a 4 out of 5 definitely would book again when my family needs a place to stay in St Pete’s again.

Our stay was ok until the day that we didn’t get our room cleaned for some unknown reason. I went to the front desk, told the young lady that we hadn’t gotten the service, her response was: ok? I told her it was not, and asked if I could at least have clean towels. “Let me see what I can find” she said and went to the back. She told me they didn’t have any towels just these really small and almost see through ones. I took them and had to do with them. The worst part was this young lady’s attitude. No apologies or concern for resolving the issue in an acceptable manner.

A lot of things broken and no diet pop and limited alcohol selection at the bar and restaurant. Hot tub, broken swimming pool not warm enough.

Overall experience very poor and will not stay there again in the future. Experience makes me wonder about all Holiday Inns 👎
