Lovely resort . Great customer service no matter where you went . Brittni and Cortez at the bar, Kase and Rodney at beach . Delicious food ! Our family of 6 will be returning!

Love the beach and activities Rooms were small and very noisy, we could hear next people clearly and people walking outside. Sink didn’t drain well, one bathroom light was out.

Rooms were clean. Staff, we'll none of the speak English but they were nice. Beach is the best!! Prettiest sunsets every night. Sand Bar is wonderful. Cortez (Clarence, as I call him) is the best bartender and always keeping us laughing. We had another great trip. Thank you

Smores were or favorite! Reserving chairs starts at 9 and "restarts" at 2pm. They told us after 2 to just find open chairs on the beach... well, obviously there were none available from the morning round of reserved seats. Handicap accessibility is not great. very much a challenge! Chairs aren't close to the water and the wheelchair for the beach can only be used to take the person to their chair then immediately return the wheelchair. I read many reviews that said skip this resort and save your money, but I was already convinced to stay here. Don't.

How is a little displeased because the elevator kept going out? We also got woke up on one morning with the alarm going off the fire alarm called the front desk and got a rude employee and I also don’t like that. I did not get a final bill when I checked out.
- 4/5
The nearby property helped provide several things to do. The entertainment live musicians by the bars everyday provided a great vibe. The buildings cable went out during the NBA finals but I survived. The spa is renovating but my expectations are high. I would return to this resort. I had a great time overall.
- 3.5/5
It’s on the beach and the facilities are clean. Easy to park.i It’s was very, noisy during the day. Lots of people all the time. It was hard to find a quiet place to relax. The reception staff was pushing for their property program very aggressively.

Hotel is awesome,so much fun and relax
- 3/5
Long line and no staff at front desk upon arrival. Elevators were broken majority of time and are very old, decrepit and honestly kinda scary. Room was on 5th floor, literally right across hall from elevator. Heard elevator dinging and loud voices of guests at all hours. No water pressure (shower/sink). Beds and pillows super uncomfortable. Pools are small and have no view of ocean and were heavily overcrowded. Positive notes: loved the coffee counter in the lobby and great location.
- 3/5
Room was dated, dirty. Wanted a late checkout and staff refused amenities are nice, but cleanliness was an issue, pools and pool bathrooms were dirty

I loved the gulf view. It was beautiful. I also loved that you could charge all drinks and food to the room and we had access to both resorts. The staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Our only issue was that our room wasn’t cleaned until the second to the last day we were do to leave. I had spoken to a housekeeper during the middle of the week, who was at the room next door. I asked if she was stopping at our room next. She appeared to have said yes but no one showed. Later that day I saw housekeeping and just asked for clean linens and she obliged. Other than that, staff was awesome and we definitely will visit again.
- 5/5
The suite was very nice, view of the pool and partial view of the gulf, nice surprise as we only stayed one night. We love all the amenities offered and always enjoy St. Pete Beach.

The beach area was off the charts! Their entertainment was excellent. Location and proximity to stores/restaurants was very good. Rooms were very clean. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was terrible. Nice selection of restaurants/bars. We tried most of them and had no complaints about any of the food. We would definitely stay here again. The entertainment, large beach and the amount of pools/whirlpools made it worth our time.
- 3.5/5
The staff are incredible! They are very kind and welcoming. We look forward to seeing our friend, Kristine, at the coffee shop every visit! She's the best! Also, Seth was super helpful and friendly when we needed our umbrella and chairs set up on the beach. There are a lot of options and activities throughout the day for everyone. Always fun to listen to the live music. We love the smores at night too! Worn down. Some things need updating. 3 out of the 4 elevators in our building were out of service for 3 days. Our room was on the 6th floor, so it made it challenging to go back and forth. Our toaster didn't work. Some mold in the bathroom. The table on the balcony had cigarette burns and black marks. A big hole in the wall outside our room. It certainly wasn't our best stay at the hotel. Disappointed that I paid nearly $500 more for our room in advance, just to see that it was deeply discounted days before we arrived. Booking.com's price-match system is not well set up. I tried submitting a claim, but it was denied over a minor detail. The response delayed the process and didn't allow me to fix the detail to receive the price match.

Food and drinks good My brother got an early check in immediately upon arrival at 12:30. I had to wait til 4pm on the dot to get a room
- 5/5
Been going to this hotel for over 30 years and I think it only gets better! Updated since our last visit and it really looks nice inside and out. Took advantage of pickleball courts and clinic. Love the Gulfside Kitchen food. We get it to go and eat on the beach. Good restaurants close by. Beach is beautiful white soft sand. We will go back for sure!!
- 5/5
Directly on the beach with beach towels, beds and umbrellas included in resort fee. A very spacious property with pools/bars and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful and lots of activities for children. Didn’t spot any paddling/play areas in the resort pools for children but other than that all was very good
- 5/5
Loved my stay there.
- 3/5
Nice location. Pools were nice. Iwas surprised at the lack of response to clean the room. I was there 3 full days, no room cleaning, no new towels, no floor sweeping. Even after several requests at the desk and by text at the end of the 2nd day, no service.

Love the kids Activities!! In General we love everything about it ❤️

I had to request room service every day. I think staff were busy. Room was ok, great view, TV is outdated, furniture is old and my son possibly had bed bugs bites. Extra frustrating that I was charged 400$ for smoking detector, which nobody investigated. My family ( including a small child) just was randomly accused in smoking in the room. I’ve noticed that on my bill at checkout. Now it’s a long process to investigate. The hotel itself is good, most stuff are friendly, but we won’t stay there again.
- 5/5
Truly amazing experience. Beautiful property, endless things to do, friendly staff, I could go on and on. They upgraded our room significantly and let us check in early. I'm looking forward to returning and would absolutely recommend

asked for handicap room, did not get one. unable to use bathroom first night, not wheelchair accessible. elevator out of service, parking was a mess. we will never book thru Expedia again. left a day early but were charged for the room anyway. online advertising looks great but nothing like it really is.

Facility was very clean! Room was in good shape and everything was in working order. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of activities in and outside the hotel. Another Adult pool would be useful. Food in restaurants was very good. More than 1 restaurant had the same menu. Maybe more variety in restaurants. Nice to see gluten free options, however GF burger buns would be a nice addition for another option. We are already planning our trip next year. Will definitely tell others about you. Check in and check out was the easiest thing ever.

No complaints at all. It was the perfect stay for what I needed. I was so relaxed, and the staff is incredibly amazing. The hotel and surroundings are well-kept and clean. I loved the smell in the lobby area. It was much more than I could have asked for. They gave me a room with a Gulf view and a private jacuzzi. I had planned to go out at some point, but I ended up staying in the hotel all day long with my bathing suit and messy hair. The next day I woke up and walked to the beach. The beach chairs and umbrella were included, which is a huge plus. I am looking forward to going back. As I write this review, I am looking for dates for my next stay!
- 1/5
Positive remarks - The beach was beautiful and the ocean water was perfect! In all fairness, I will share that the hotel told they would comped us for a number of things such as the chairs on the beach and other hotel charges. At the time of this writing, we are awaiting those credits.
- 5/5
Absolutely one of the best places around!
- 1/5
The “beach party” music was pounding until 10 pm. Left after one night and stayed at a cheaper, classier hotel.
- 5/5
Overall, the resort is very nice and clean. Obviously everybody’s there for the beach, which was beautiful. They could fix the ice machines and have more of them would be my only suggestion.
- 3/5
the hotel is screaming renovation specially the lobby area pls avoid the big holidays the personalnis not ready to deal with full capacity the rooms are clean but the take for ever to go it. check-in was 2h delayed and they offered 2h late checkout but I this that outside big holidays it will be more enjoyable
- 5/5
No cash resort. Wristbands as door key and your card is linked to pay around the resort. Loved our room overlooking adults only pool with partial beach view. 2 night stay, was able to easily wander over to the sister property for additional bar/food options. Staff was wonderful! S’mores and hammocks were fabulous. Water was perfect temp. Didn’t get a chance to try out the loungers/umbrella on beach. Perfect location. Felt safe to walk in the area and left convertible Jeep top off during stay in covered parking on site. Would recommend to any friends/family & hope to come back again!
- 4/5
I had a great stay at the resort. It’s an older property so it’s a little worn down. Slow elevator (was being repaired) water was out for a few hours, restaurants were dated and overpriced. They (all hotels) should clearly outline their parking fees. I believe I was charged $25 per night. Great part is the beach access and location for dining. I never used my car!
- 5/5
Wonderful vacation!
- 3/5
Nice plac e. Charged me an extra $55 as an amenity fee, be aware. $25 day for parking.
- 2/5
This property is old, dirty and completely overpriced. I have no idea how this hotel has rates similar to Don Caesar. Stay far far away!
- 4/5
We stayed ground level. It was so convenient
- 4/5
The beach and beach view were incredible. The resort was overall beautiful. The resort was older and there were some maintenance issues that should not have been overlooked. When we asked for assistance with the maintenance issues in our room. They were not addressed. If the stay wasn’t so pricey we could have overlooked them. Resort fees and parking fees were not disclosed upon booking. So it was a little shocking when we checked in expecting a certain price and then paying much more. Not sure if that was on Expedia’s end or the resort. Anyway overall the place was beautiful with lots to see and do.
- 1/5
Terrible do not stay here
- 3/5
That said, the building needs work after the hurricane. The phone to reach the front desk still wasn’t working, the A/C vent had nkt been changed and it was evident in the mildewy smell to room and the irritation and allergies I suffered after the first night. Cable streaming was very limited with most channels out. The phone for service is still down since hurricane.Again not a dealbreaker, but families with kids might care more. The biggest issue was the elevator. It worked the first night, but the next morning it was down. Carrying luggage and a dog up and down 6 flights of steep stairs was rough, especially since it’s not safe for pets on those steps. Additionally, we are experiencing summer already and it was particularly hot with no fans in stairwells. After a few requests via app and in person we were changed to a room closer to the beach. The view was great. Bathroom was a bit worse for wear but again moderately clean. Employees did their best and were a bright spot, but with elevator reliability, basic repairs, and soundproofing issues, the property needs some TLC before it’s fully guest-ready especially considering the price paid for services and accomodations.
- 4/5
I wish the room was a bit bigger. The beach, restaurants, staff were all amazing.
- 5/5
Love it there, stay there all the time! Love the vibe, and the smell of the children’s fire pit/s’mores at night! Miss it already!
- 5/5
Great stay, helpful staff and so many things to do! I went with my teen daughter and not once did she utter I'm bored! We've gone back twice and there's still new things to do each time. She got to hold an iguana and pet a spider. We played trivia too! The beach was super clean and absolutely gorgeous. It felt great to not have to get in my car once and still have so many dining options, activities and places to go. And the champagne toast welcome? Chef's kiss
- 3/5
Beach views were awesome. Lots of activities to keep you busy. Perfect location. Able to walk to most restaurants. Seemed like most of the workers could not speak English and were unable to assist us when we had questions. Our room had a perfect view of the ocean and was nice and clean. Maintenance was lacking though. Mini refrigerator was missing shelf and other parts were broke. Drains in sink and bathroom had issues with draining. Lots of people in pool drinking alcohol continuously and one drunk couple even had sex in the pool. Security very limited. Adult pool and another pool down from hot tub were not clean from sand and around the tiles. Lots of areas that just needed a basic clean up like railings and gates. Clorox wipes work wonders. Resort fee very high for what you get out of it. Many people complaining about it. We have been here for years and this was the first time we noticed this kind of stuff.
- 5/5
Service in the restaurant (bar/grill) could use a lot of work.

Beautiful private beach!!.. All staff members cheerful and helpful. Accommodations clean and well maintained. Restaurant foods delicious and appropriately priced. All waitstaff friendly and accommodating. In short a great place for a beach vacation and we definitely will return again!
- 1/5
The room wasn’t ready at 4pm as advertised - had to wait an additional 1.5 hour before getting into hot room where the refrigerator didn’t work and water dripped from the bathroom ceiling the entire time. Obviously under staffed. The kicker was the mandatory hidden daily room fee that was not part of the original Expedia offer… buyer be ware

This was honestly one of the most STRESSFUL & DISORGANIZED resort experiences I’ve ever had. I arrived at TradeWinds RumFish to check-in & the line was so long it extended outside into the heat, & I stood there carrying my 3 yr old toddler for about 1.5 hours, only to finally be told my room still wasn’t ready. Staff told me I'd have to wait in line all over again b/c they couldn’t assign a room yet due to being overbooked. Security told me I couldn’t temporarily leave my car near the lobby b/c it would be towed. Parking was full, I circled around & around..then told to park at the Island Grand resort a few hotels down & could bring my car back up to the front when my room was ready. Drove down to Island Grand & they denied me in due to being full. Drove back to Rumfish & circled around forever until I finally got a spot (4pm at this point). When I finally got a room, I was told, “I hope you don’t have a lot of luggage,” b/c they placed me in a building with a broken elevator (that has been broken several staff told me & theyve been negIecting the issue). I explained I was alone with a toddler, dog, with lots of luggage, but that their system is showing negative rooms & they overbooked. I physically could not carry everything upstairs myself & had to call security for help. Even with security assisting, we struggled badly getting the loaded wagon upstairs. I ended up breaking my nail & injuring my back badly enough that I’m still dealing with pain a week later.

We specifically booked a room with two queen beds, but upon arrival were told none were available and were given two double beds instead. My husband is 6’2”, so this made for a very uncomfortable stay right from the start. The room had a very strong mildew smell that was impossible to ignore. It honestly made the room feel unclean and unpleasant. We had also requested a quiet room location, hoping for a relaxing beach weekend. Instead, we were placed directly above and overlooking a massive beach party/event with 1,500 people. The event started around 6 PM and was followed by extensive breakdown and cleanup noise afterward until late in the evening. To make matters worse, we paid extra for front-row beach chairs, only to be seated in front of what felt like a nonstop frat party on the beach. Hundreds of college-aged kids were packed into the area drinking and partying loudly from late morning until evening. None of these kids were from our hotel, they kept pouring in from a walkway between hotels. Overall, we were extremely disappointed in our stay. We live locally and have seen the beautiful commercials for TradeWinds for years, but the reality was nothing like what is advertised.
- 4/5
First time staying at Rumfish and we were automatically upgraded to a Gulf view! No balcony, but floor to ceiling sliding glass door with a railing which worked perfectly. The pool was directly below us and the view was amazing. Room was a little dated, but we had all the essentials, stove, microwave refrigerator. Too bad no one seemed to know where the Publix and Walmart was. We were told we would have to go to Tampa, but they are located a few miles south of the resort and can use the free shuttle to get there. Great Restaurants are within walking distance and TradeWinds has made some nice upgrades, adding more eateries. We stayed there several years ago. Location is excellent! Staff is friendly and cannot say enough about our checkin/out service. Hubby lost his CC the night before checking out. I made mention to the agent and he asked if I wanted him to leave information with security. I handed him the information, he went behind the counter and came back with our CC in hand! What a relief and must say quite surprised and very grateful. Thank you staff at RumFish Resort. We will be back 👍

Arrived the week after Mother’s Day. Despite calling ahead due to disabled child and being told a room would be ready arrived and the only room ready was a 200$ up charge. WiFi did not work the entirety of the stay. Hotel did not have washcloths despite asking for them multiple times. Room was still dirty when we entered with a tips and hair in the bathroom and stains on the sheets. The pool was nice and the location on the beach was good. They were out of the free gifts for the entire stay. Bar staff was nice although bar and food options were very expensive l. The kids loved the water slide next door and met some nice people at the pools. The smores were nice for the kids. Umbrellas on the beach are not up all day and only two are included in your room fee with an extra 30.00 if you have more than two people in your room. Lots of up charges including a need for multiple rides / multiple reminders that staff and golf cart transportation work for tips .

The hotel is great. Sure it has some issues here and there but none are deal breakers for us. Love the location. Sooo many great restaurants and beach outlets close. The private beach is fantastic!

Beautiful beach, good food at the restaurants at the tradewinds property, the room could use a little TLC
- 3/5
Great amenities but the room had issues. Door had to be pulled shut loudly to close. Dresser draws didn't open or close properly. Ice machine not working.
- 3/5
The beach you would have been instructed by bushes, poo area etc, however my room was still not ready at 4:30p so I asked for another room and was given a room with clear view but no lanai.
- 4/5
Ok
- 2/5
I really regret not checking out and reading about this hotel, it was not a nice experience since hotel was not clean, Elevator was not working. Ice machines were not working. We needed to go through the stairs to the 4th floor to get ice. I’ve stayed in Motel 6 motels that were in better shape and cleaner than this place. The only good thing was been right next to the beach.
- 3/5
We enjoyed our time at RumFish. The beach and outdoor areas were beautiful. We loved the hammocks! However the interior is definitely dated and needs some tlc. The elevators are incredibly slow, just hope your room is not on the 4th floor. The first day we checked in, there was a couple leaks coming from the ceiling in the bathroom in our room. I informed the staff twice and it never got fixed until the house keeping saw it the next day. Food and drinks are pretty expensive. We spent most of our time in the beach which is probably the nicest area.
- 5/5
Room was clean and nice view. Great restaurants. Great access to beach. However, the wheelchair to access beach needed repair and there was only one elevator working. Overall greatly recommended.
- 5/5
La habitación están limpia la pasamos súper la playa buenisima
- 2/5
Lack of parking space. Very slow checking process although Front desk staff was attentive and polite. All resort amenities shut down by 6pm and not when the sun goes down. After 6pm there’s no much to do but to maybe enjoy the beach because most of the amenities except for pools were pretty much shut down. Not fun not enough time to enjoy the the slide or paddle boats amenities and big slide everything shut down way to early
- 4/5
Great location!!
- 2/5
The staff seemed completely unprepared for Mother’s Day weekend. We were told that we could check in early and then when our room is ready, they would give us a call at 4 PM. 4 PM comes around no call. 5 PM comes around no call. We call the hotel and they tell us we have to come back in and register again. During initial registration and second registration, the staff had no problem, yelling at guests and being completely unprofessional and rude. I am actually flabbergasted that this was a TradeWinds resort.
- 5/5
Beautiful beach
- 5/5
Fui con mi familia y lo pasamos increíble, la piscina y la playa estaban maravillosas y nunca faltaron actividades, para pasar un tiempo en familia es increíble
- 3/5
The room was nice. Very small snug style not much room to wlk . Yes beach was visible. Hotel is older and can see and feel it. Main problem is bathrooms dont flush well and elevator broken alot. People nice but over average. Love the beach. Wont stay here again.
- 5/5
Great place
- 3/5
We had a great time. Love the easy access to the beach, the live music, roasting s’mores, aquarium touch tanks, full kitchenette. There were outdoor fire pits, hammocks, and activities for the kids. We stayed in a villa and the room seemed to need some updating, but it was fine. When checking in we had to wait in a very long line to get our room keys, but our check in went smoothly. Great place to stay if you want easy access to walk right onto the beach and activities to do outside.
- 2/5
The best part of the stay was the staff. The elevators were broken, the rooms were dirty, the carpets were chronically damp and the rooms smelled musty. There was almost parking and the scene was loud and chaotic. Would never stay here again. Run down and needs revamping. I understand the hurricanes caused many places to shut down and never reopen but they need to make some major updates.
- 5/5
Overall fantastic experience
- 3/5
The "resort fees" and $25/day parking fee were a huge turn off. This is a not a resort. It is a beach hotel. I felt like this was a bait and switch. I did not realize I would be paying another almost $400 for 6 nights. This lack of transparency makes it easy for us to never consider booking again in the future.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and great staff.
- 4/5
Great place to stay if you are looking for an affordable but great resort experience on the beach.
- 4/5
When we checked in, our room was occupied by another person. The manager was lovely and automatically upgraded us no questions asked. Rumfishes rooms felt very old even in our upgraded suite. I liked staying on this side of the resort. It had the best vibe at night by the pool and it was calm at the beach during the day. Could easily walk to the other part of the hotel for restaurants.
- 3/5
The Bad; The rum fish hotel within the resort is in need of a refurbishment. Rooms are very tired with old furniture and decor. The staff range from extremely helpful and happy , to downright rude and sulky. The Ugly; First room we were given was awful. Old furniture, sticky carpet, hair in bath and sink, calcified shower heads barely producing a dribble and extremely noisy a/c and non working safe. We changed rooms after one night , and although the new room was much better in terms of cleanliness, the a/c was really noisy and shower was useless. Overall verdict ; This resort trades off its location, which is hard to beat. However, for the price, the standard of accommodation is, well, sub standard. Wouldn’t return or recommend.
- 1/5
Absolutely terrible experience at RumFish Beach Resort. The rooms were filthy, the shower was disgusting, and the air conditioning did not work, making the stay unbearable. When we complained, customer service did little to nothing to resolve the issues. We were promised refunds for the resort fees, but that never happened. On top of that, the hotel refuses to answer calls or properly address concerns, and they have completely refused to refund our stay after such a horrible experience. For the amount of money spent, this resort was beyond disappointing. I would never stay here again and absolutely do not recommend this resort to anyone.
- 4/5
It was a bit busy with the restaurant close to us but it was the best to come out of my room and sit in the sun!
- 4/5
PS. I think my hotel money went to the mattress of my bed because that was one of the best sleeps I ever had.
- 4/5
We hd to request for our room to be cleaned, since it was 4pm and we still had dirty towels and no one came to clean our room
- 4/5
The shower was just ok. But as I said, location makes up for a lot. I enjoyed being able to walk a few minutes to the other property and use the various pools. The beach is fantastic and that’s all I really cared about. It’s a great home base to visit lots of popular places in the area. And there are many great restaurants nearby. I would return to RumFish

Everything was perfect from the view to the temperature of the water the staff and don’t get me started with the food it was absolutely delicious the price was reasonable this place is definitely 10/10 .
- 5/5
Room was clean and maintained. The private beach had chairs and umbrellas for use which was very nice. They had events everyday. Great place for families.
- 5/5

I was disappointed when I asked for a beach view, and was told that the hotel was fully booked. Then was charge $55.00 for amenities per day.
- 3/5
Didn’t know there was an app for the property until we were leaving. Everything is cashless. Tip automatically comes up for 25% at some places Staff hardworking and hustled for any assistance we needed. Resort pricey for amenities avail in my opinion.
- 4/5
The property was a little dated, however the property was clean and the beach was beautiful. Our view of the gulf from our room was great. In addition my wife and I loved the RumFish stake house food and aquarium.
- 5/5
Lots of pools to choose from and great views from the ocean side rooms. The staff was super helpful and friendly.
- 3/5
The room layout made no sense. We booked an oceanfront room and it had a nice porch to sit on with the ocean view, but when you first walk into the room the beds are the first thing you see, then the bathroom area, then the sitting/kitchenette area, then the porch. It felt backwards. The sitting/kitchenette area should have been first, and the bedroom area should be next to the sliding doors so guests can hear the ocean at night. However, it was so noisy outside our room that I don’t think we’d have heard the ocean even if the room was set up that way. This resort is also way more family (read kids) oriented than expected. All we heard the first two days there were kids yelling and running everywhere. And the parents are so lax at paying attention to their kids that they don’t even notice (or care) how loud they are or if they’re disturbing others. The mattresses and box springs were so old and worn down that we were rolling into the center of the bed every night because there was no support, which made for very unrestful nights. The “couch” in the sitting area was a loveseat and not even long enough for an afternoon nap after the beach. I wasn’t made aware until just before check-in that there was a $25 per day parking fee, but the lot was so full one night because of an event they had on the beach that they allowed non-guests to park there for that the only spots left were out by the road. This was my first and last stay at this resort. It was disappointing for sure.
- 1/5
We stayed at Wahoo 2730 and the room smelled so bad we had to leave and could not stay overnight. The smell was an overbearing highly scented humid that even after trying to ventilate the room, could not bear it.
- 5/5
Definitely will come back very awesome place to stay lots of things to do for family or hope you’re just here as couples always clean. Staff are very nice and housekeeping is always very polite and accommodated when you needed something.
- 4/5
Other than those the property, staff and location is amazing!
- 5/5
Everything
- 4/5
I had to ask the front desk for clean towels every day. Other than that, it was great.
- 4/5
Although our rooms were recently renovated, the property still seems run down, especially the lobby. But all was not bad! The staff were very friendly and polite! The restaurants were all great! It was kind of a buzz kill to have to stand in line every morning to get a chair assignment too. I would probably book a room at the island grand next time.
- 5/5
Clean nice pools good food friendly staff
- 5/5
Amazing staff, the room was amazing! Walking distance to bars and restaurants! Awesome!
- 5/5
Perfect view of the Gulf of America!
- 5/5
The beach can be seen from almost anywhere! Beautiful area. We love st Pete’s.
- 5/5
Our family had a great time. We were entertained when we wanted to but still was able to fine a quiet place to relax. Will love to come back again.
- 3/5
It's the perfect place for a family on a budget! It's run down but clean. The rooms are nice size with the extra living space. It looks like there is a lot of things to do for kids. It would be very nice to have chairs by the pool, with umbrellas, when you want a break from the sun. The staff was not very friendly. The beach is beautiful and that is what we came for but for a couple, we won't be returning.
- 4/5
Clean room, excellent staff, lots of walkable food options both on and off campus
- 3/5
We stayed at the RumFish a few years ago and had such a great time, we decided to go back. Unfortunately, there was confusion with the rooms. When we stayed a few years ago, I booked a standard room. The room we stayed in was beautiful- on the ground floor, with a sitting area and kitchenette. Long story short, I booked a standard room this time (thinking it was the same), however it was not. It was a 250 sq ft room on the 3rd fl next to the garage. Apparently, the first time we stayed, we had rec'd an upgrade...which was awesome, but no one actually told us that. I discussed the confusion w/ a few different RumFish staff including Reservations and the front desk, however they weren't able to upgrade us. Well, they would upgrade us, but we would have to pay a lot more money. Had I known, I can't say I would have gone back...especially for what we paid. Anyway, overall, a good trip. You can't beat the location. The beach, water, activities, etc. Also, a perk that 2 beach chairs and umbrellas are included. Housekeeping was quick to respond to a broken drawer that stuck out in the room as well as when things were needed. The beach bars were great and handy to get snacks and lunch at. Also, it's nice that you can use the facilities at TradeWinds as well. I wouldn't go back for the price we paid for that standard rm though.
- 3/5
Rumfish is a bit older and outdated. Rooms are older, we had outlets that didn't work, sinks that leaked. Overall it wasn't bad, but the price was high for what it actually is. We spent more time at neighboring resort. At Rumfish, Hallways are dirty, I saw staff looking at a water fountain that leaked on the carpeted floor and it wasn't fixed during our staff - they just let is leak. Beach bar ran out of beer. But the staff are great, very nice, beach is really nice. Pools are small. So it's all about the beach but the property is no better than others. Decent activities for kids.
- 2/5
This resort is advertised as good for families - be aware that this resort is very very loud and busy. A lot of partying adults and drinking and music is absolutely blaring until “quiet” time at 11PM.
- 5/5
We ended up with an unexpected beach view! Small rooms but there was a little kitchenette beautiful floor to ceiling windows and it was very clean!
- 5/5
Our stay at Rumfish was awesome! Our room was very clean and newly renovated. We were right outside one of the pools and the hot tub which was a bonus. Loved that the room key was actually a wristband, that was super handy. Being steps from the beach was our main reason for booking and having beach loungers provided was the best. We didn’t have to worry about getting up at the crack of dawn to fight the crowds in order to get spots either, there was more than plenty of for all the guests who were on the beach. There are beach umbrellas available also but unfortunately it was windy while we were there so they took them down which was a bummer because the sun still got pretty hot. There were plenty of activities and dining options so you don’t even have to leave the resort once you check in. My only slight complaint is that when we checked in none of the amenities were explained to us or how to access them. For instance, it says there are paddle boats, nobody said what or where the boats were or while we were lounging on the beach I noticed another guest had a drink being delivered to her from one of the bars, didn’t know that was an option or how we could order a drink to be delivered to us on the beach like that. Besides that our stay was great and we would definitely book again!
- 4/5
Room was ok. Had to use the pullout couch/bed because we had 5 of us in a suite. Not only was the sofa bed uncomfortable but when we opened it up the first night, it had a dirty mattress pad. Staff responded promptly with new bedding and the manager gave us a small credit for the inconvenience. Would probably stay here again.
- 5/5
Could use some updating and cleaned better. Great beaches, food was good.
- 5/5
Everything was awesome will be back
- 1/5
We had little nats and little spiders in our room. We told the front desk and he said someone would come to our room but no one did. He also said he was doing a credit to our room but nothing ever came off. Very disappointed in the staff.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Very beautiful place.
- 5/5
Ocean view room was amazing!! We can’t wait to go back! Staff was all so nice, overall it was a great stay!
- 4/5
Nice beach. Pet fee much too high. Taco place was good.
- 4/5
The view from the room was great. The room we had needs to be upgraded. The carpet and furniture are visibly worn. The Rum Fish restaurant is fantastic. Mike at the front desk was extremely helpful.
- 4/5
Good
- 4/5
Great view and very clean resort.
- 5/5
Friendly and lots to do!!!
- 5/5
The whole experience was amazing. Staff super friendly, beautiful location and tons of pools
- 3/5
It was ok. Pros - access to both properties, could always find a chair, activities for kids. Cons- elevators didn’t work, room seemed clean enough but the AC smelled like sewage. Drinks were expensive. Resort fees if 55+ per day and parking. Overall in a bit of disrepair.
- 5/5
Beach clean. Views awesome bar staff welcoming and friendly.
- 5/5
Traveled with 2 kids, 5 & 11- they loved it! Great stay with kids- lots of options for pools and the beach and super easy to go between both the rum fish and island grand sites. Restaurants on site were good and the kids loved the s’mores at night and different activities. We upgraded to an ocean view villa when we arrived and glad we did. Room was nice and clean. As many have stated there are cosmetic updates around the resort that are needed but it didn’t detract from our stay- I kinda knew that going in based on reviews we read. Overall would recommend especially if traveling with young kids!
- 5/5
Close and really great. Will stay again!!
- 5/5
While the rooms are dated and the elevators are possible limping along, the amenities at this place are incredible. There is so much for kids to do, a secluded adult pool if you want to get away for a bit, and a beautiful beach. The fact that you can go enjoy the other TRADEWINDS amenities nearby is a huge bonus, basically two resort amenities included in one. We really enjoyed our stay, the beach chairs and umbrellas are included for free and plenty of them, and live music and s’mores every night. A 7/11 nearby and other great places to eat within short walking distances. We will definitely come back.
- 2/5
The first room we stayed in was horrible. There was something in the toilet, a neon straw so we put your hand down the bowl and removed it. The outlet by the microwave and coffee pot did not work, and the view was horrible, not what we asked for. We went to the front desk immediately upon arrival and asked for what we asked for beach view. The gentleman was very nice and asked that we unpack lightly and he would have us moved the following day!
- 5/5
The location is amazing. The rooms were really nice and the staff was great! Right on the beach, what more could you ask for
- 5/5
Beautiful room excellent beach view, the food was fabulous, loved it
- 5/5
Wonderful staff
- 5/5
The sleeping area
- 4/5
Our room (5809) needs new Carpet and furniture. The Bathroom needs a deep cleaning.
- 4/5
Nice beach
- 5/5
Had a two night stay with friends… the beach is perfect and enjoyed umbrellas and chairs provided by the resort. Bars were on point and attended to me quickly. Room was spacious and well done and clean. The only negative thing I can say is we had thunder feet above us on the 2nd floor.
- 5/5
Had a fantastic stay with my best friend for her birthday! Great location, the beach was amazing, staff was super friendly!
- 5/5
Beach is beautiful, staff aided in reserving us beach chairs and setting up an umbrella
- 4/5
Good value stay. The Island Grand Tradewinds would be more of the luxury stay. We needed room for more people and a pull-out couch so we chose this location. Great beach view. We had a blast and liked our options for food on both properties.
- 3/5
The rooms are a little outdated
- 5/5
Family friendly, clean resort with plenty to do! Great location to enjoy the pools and beach. Staff were exceptional!
- 4/5
Staff were all fantastic, special mention for excellent service from Chris at the front desk and Kristina (I think) at the lobby coffee bar. Both went above and beyond. The hotel was clean, grounds were immaculate and the views stunning. Great atmosphere beachside at night, live music, plenty of seating with fireplaces and saw staff making smores for everyone one night. There’s a little petting aquarium in the gift shop that was neat. Overall it’s a great place to stay just a little dated but for the price it’s to be expected. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with gulfside balcony view. Perfect room type and location on the 4th floor. Plenty of food options at the resort as well as within walking distance to many more. We enjoyed our short trip thoroughly. Thank you!
- 3/5
For premium price paid the rooms were very outdated. Shower was very poor. The beach and lounge chairs were perfect. The kids working the beach are great. Bartenders by pool very slow an seemed annoyed when bar was busy. For a pool area with many kids present at 10 am the DJ played rap music as loud as he could a couple days. Seemed odd for family resort. Maid service done a great job. Firepits good.
- 4/5
A little dirty and dated in area but overall a lot of fun
- 5/5
Beautiful resort!!!
- 5/5
Appreciated the variety of activities and restaurants on the properties
- 5/5
The view from our balcony ocean view was awesome! We enjoyed the many different restaurants and activities.
- 3/5
We did not have hot water one day. The beds were comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff, amenities, grounds.
- 5/5
Very clean room, a surprise upgrade, wonderful stafg
- 4/5
Staff was great. Everything was very clean. Only thing was the AC/Heat was very loud.
- 5/5
The team was so kind to my daughter and me. We plan to visit again! I was able to get rest and have fun. Thank you for the experience!
- 5/5
Amazing experience
- 5/5
Clean room, seamless check in/out, friendly staff, beautiful resort and access to the beach
- 5/5
The room was very big. The bed is very very cozy. Overall it was a great stay. I would highly recommend this hotel, on the beach great food. Staff was friendly. Can’t wait to go go back.
- 5/5
Amazing amenities, beautiful Beach, chairs and umbrellas.
- 4/5
Staff was courteous, location was clean and the drink and daily specials were fantastic! The loud skeeball game in the lobby was very distracting and the transportation to and from the Island Grand could be improved (esp for people with mobility issues)
- 5/5
Great views, amenities with multiple pools, hot tubs and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect from the moment we stepped foot... Debbie is awesome.. took the time to listen having an awful experience at another place ... she totally made my daughter's day and mine ... Dewitt was the sweetest best massage ever... the view from the room was incredible... even while construction is going on there's so much to do ... we didn't want to leave ... definitely plan on going back
- 5/5
View was excellent! Staff was great.
- 5/5
The resort was excellent! Plenty of things todo, restaurants to eat at, customer service was wonderful! The staff there was always friendly and ready to help if needed!
- 3/5
Room was not very clean. It was never vacuumed . There was food on the floor and also other debris from the previous occupants. After picking most of it up the rest remained and never vacuumed for our entire stay. The rest of the hotel was very nice and the service in the restaurants and bars were excellent.
- 5/5
Clean, staff were great. Pools, hot tub and beach was perfect! Everything within walking distance.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was worn and dated - cracked bathroom floor, leaky bathroom sink faucet, low sh. ower pressure, dusty couch with very worn arms. Food/drinks are very expensive. Many amenities worn and broken.
- 3/5
Room is outdated but great customer service at the bar and restaurants
- 4/5
Very attentive house keeper & everyone is very friendly
- 5/5
Great people , we enjoy every minute
- 5/5
Room was very clean, ready well before we arrived! The staff was very kind and welcoming. The amenities were great! Would stay again for sure!
- 2/5
Old outdated hotel. Both Tvs in our suit were old . One of the days Water was not working. Carpet ripped. This building have seen better days!
- 3/5
Good location but public and room facilities are too old.
- 5/5
Would definetly come back again! Great experience!
- 4/5
Staff was wonderful and helpful
- 4/5
The resort was excellent. Access to all activities restaurants beach pool etc was really nice. Staff was about half and half. Some excelled - the beach personnel and the front desk personnel were extremely helpful and excellent. The room was very clean and quiet although small.
- 2/5
Unfortunately, our experience after checkout has been extremely disappointing. We were charged a $428 smoking fee, despite the fact that we are non-smokers. We have documentation showing that we were not even in the room at the time the alleged smoking incident was reported. We reached out to management immediately to dispute the charge, but the response has been very discouraging. They have not provided any proof or documentation to support the claim, nor have they been willing to share records indicating who accessed the room. The lack of transparency and unwillingness to investigate further has been frustrating and upsetting. It’s unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed our stay, but the way this situation has been handled has left a negative impression. We hope management will reconsider and implement a clearer, more transparent process for handling disputes like this in the future.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
Amazing!
- 5/5
Room spotless staff was great
- 4/5
Clean rooms courteous staff
- 3/5
I discovered There was an app and it had the list of daily activities and the food and drinks o site for bother properties . Again, most of that closed or canceled but no communication about that Rooms were large and great accommodations if you choose th villas , living room, kitchen area and comfy beds. There is no inside common area. A few chairs along a corridor is the only inside space and with fees like temps in th 20°s there was no where to go. No bar except the pool bar and that was closed 3 of our 4 day stay!!! The walk to the Island Grand building is @7/8 minutes and all outside so again in the 20°s while raining, there was really nothing to do at the resort. Pools are heated and warm so that was good when it wasn’t raining. Overall I would return and enjoyed having the living room and full fridge and of course, the resort being right on the beach
- 5/5
It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Lots to do everyday. Would definitely revisit.
- 2/5
To begin with, parking costs $25.00 per night, and they only tell you this after you've made and paid for the reservation. The room smelled damp, and the shower drain was clogged. The rooms are nothing like the photos shown on the app. It's definitely not a 4-star hotel, maybe a 2-star at best.
- 3/5
Not a bad resort. Rate was good and amenities are nice. Rooms and hotel is definitely dated. Elevators definitely need to be replaced. It does the job but probably will stay at the Hilton again next door with updated rooms.
- 2/5
Not where is the money you pay for it?
- 5/5
The porter was so accommodating this morning at 645...we appreciate his kindness👍thank you!!
- 4/5
Amenities were excellent, was able to upgraded for free.
- 5/5
Everything was good.
- 5/5
Our stay was brief, but phenomenal. The resort is older, and does show some wear and tear from age and storm damage, but very clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful- from the people at the front desk, to the coffee shops, restaurants, and beach. We enjoyed the various amenities, especially the live music. When we needed to extend our stay another day due to our flight being canceled with the winter storm, the fr us make arrangements. usamusicevening.
- 2/5
Amazing beach however hotel room was terrible. Our room floor was not cleaned/ sand on the floor. Coffee maker had mold from leftover coffee. Room key didn’t work after hour first night. We requested extra blankets for our kids 4 times and never received until last night. For all the extra fees and parking this place is not worth it at all. Felt like we were staying in a motel not hotel.
- 5/5
The location was incredible. They had an incredible view. I highly recomment beach front view. It is totally worth the money. Easy parking close to rooms
- 2/5
Before switching hotels, I needed to have my husband’s suit cleaned for an upcoming event. This hotel does not have a concierge, and I was told I would need to walk to the Tradewinds to speak with theirs. Upon arriving, there was no concierge available on site. I was then directed to the bellhop, who informed me that there was no dry-cleaning service on site and that the suit would need to be sent out. Because it was the weekend, there was little chance it would be returned in time for the event. This is a resort that specializes in conventions. The absence of a concierge and on-site dry-cleaning services is surprising and disappointing. These are basic necessities for a property that caters to business travelers attending conferences. At the event itself, we were charged $16 for two ginger ales and were then asked to tip. That price is outrageous — effectively $16 for the equivalent of one can of soda. We understand the hotel sustained hurricane damage last year, and that repairs take time and money. That said, this level of pricing and lack of essential services is unacceptable. All of that being said, with the exception of one staff member, every person we interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely tried to make our experienc
- 2/5
The room was dated and the carpet looked nasty.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. We will definitely be coming back.
- 4/5
The hotel has great amenities and friendly and helpful staff. Our room was fine, however it could use some maintenance and updates.
- 4/5
Was a great time
- 5/5
Front lobby is sketchy, was little concerned. Every thing was great after that. The room was dated but very nice, clean as can be. Customer serv was remarkable, there team was trained beyond belief. Had breakfest and it was fantastic, I just kept being surprised. I would go back in a minute.
- 5/5
This was perfect the view was amazing the beach was perfect the room was very nice I will definitely be planning another trip here again
- 3/5
Our room was directly next to the lobby in a hotel that wasn’t even close to full. Why you would ever put a group with two children directly next to the lobby is beyond me. It was sooooo loud all night long with staff talking and making all sorts of noise. It was very disappointing.
- 4/5
Great staff, beautiful beach and convenient location.
- 5/5
Great dining options. Friendly staff
- 4/5
Great location!

The staff were friendy and efficient. The rooms were clean.

- 5/5
Nice room, beautiful view! Its perfect for littles and family vacations!
- 4/5
Small ants on counters in living room and kitchen. Water was warm but not hot.
- 5/5
Yes
- 1/5
This place is run down and dingy, not luxury at all. I left before the end of my stay due to arriving for my booked massage, finding out they were using a hotel room in place of the hurricane damaged spa, and one man was in there, no desk staff member and I felt unsafe. The “shopping” is a gift shop. For a 24 hour resort, the food court closes at 10 pm, and the room was dirty on arrival. The coffee pot was broken and they never replaced it. They were rude to me when I brought my coffee on the beach yet looked past a man smoking in front of me on a non-smoking beach! Steer clear. It’s a time share where they’re renting unused rooms and everything is an up charge.
- 2/5
Standard room very small underwhelming toliet stopped up cutsins
- 5/5
Staff at the restaurant by the pool were excellent. View was incredible. Loved all of the amenities.
- 5/5
Great staff delicious food.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful experience in the resort! The service and the cleanliness was great! The amenities are beautiful and the beach stunning!
- 4/5
The hot tub on one side of the property was much warmer than the other side. The property as a whole was in a good location, easy access to the beach and restaurants.
- 4/5
Outdoors is great. Location is good. Indoors is clean but out of date.
- 3/5
My wife and I travel a lot including international as well. So we have experience and stay in a lot of different hotels and this experience at RumFish is just average and I could have rates alot lower. the staff is friendly and courteous, but the room is just ok, not as nice and updated compared to other hetels I have stay in where is a 5-stars. However, what disappointed me the most is the amenities. I pay in full online on Orbitz, When I book the hotel and its list all the amenities that included, but when I check out, they charge me $185 for the amenities and taxes for 3nights stay. With all my stay over years at hotel, I have never been charge additional for the amenities. It just have included when you pay in full for your booking. So I was very shock and disappointed. I would recommended people to careful when booking at this hotel.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean- plenty of activities
- 2/5
Room was outdated. Ceiling tiles in the bathroom were falling apart. Water in the shower rarely got hot. Misinformed when I checked in with a debit card and had charge issues which weren’t resolved. Decent amenities but not worth the $55/night resort fee.
- 4/5
Room was really well cleaned. Good coffee shop. Loved the s’mores at night.
- 4/5
Stay was mostly good, but the elevator didn’t work for our entire 5 day stay. Also, water pressure in the shower was not great and the tub didn’t drain well. Other than that no complaints.
- 5/5
Excellent stay!
- 5/5
Need fix the elevator, looks nice finish
- 5/5
Nice room courteous staff. Wonderful location. Walked everywhere
- 4/5
The beach access was perfect!
- 5/5
The property grounds are great. The beach is big and powerfy sand. We enjoy the daily activities available for kids and adults. Great variety of . Restaurants and bars. Staff is nice!
- 2/5
Cleanliness is questionable Wifi was don the entire 3 days of our stay Ice machine out of service Elevators not working. Would not go back
- 2/5
My room key did not work 4 times while we were there for 4days, the elevators were out of order as well. The beach and location is incredible but in general needs cleaning and updating
- 2/5
We stayed 12 nights in December in an ocean-view room. The location is good, but ongoing operational issues significantly affected our stay. • Late checkout was approved, yet our key expired early, locking us out. We were not told keys needed to be “renewed,” and the front desk response was dismissive. • Communication was inconsistent, with staff giving conflicting information about checkout and shuttle availability. • There are no phones in the rooms, forcing reliance on the hotel app, which frequently did not work. On our second-to-last day, there were no beach towels available, and the app was down. • A $1,200 charge was placed on the first day, despite the $55/night resort fee totaling $660 for 12 nights. This was not clearly explained. • Housekeeping issues included knocking before 8:00 AM on Dec 22 and 23 despite a Do Not Disturb sign, and a 5:00 PM knock on another day. Room cleaning must be requested rather than automatic. • Beach chairs were unavailable on Dec 28 around 1:00 PM, with many chairs reserved by towels while unoccupied. • Noise from the room above occurred most evenings around 7:00 PM, consistent with furniture being moved. • Linens were extremely thin, the refrigerator ran excessively cold (a soda exploded), and no paper towels or napkins were provided. • The property has no bathrooms near the first-floor check-in area; guests must go upstairs or outside. • Strong artificial scents etc
- 5/5
Staff always greet with a smile
- 2/5
The rooms are very dated and I felt like we were staying in a motel instead of a resort. The AC wasn’t working from the moment we arrived and we did notify the front desk but never got fixed. Not worth the money we spent so please don’t be fooled by the pictures they have online, it looks nothing like the photos.
- 4/5
Grest
- 5/5
Funcionários muito gentis e simpáticos!
- 4/5
Cons: The property is definitely dated. We had to switch out of our first room due to broken AC and sugar bugs (mini white spider like bugs) all over the kitchen. The staff was wonderful in switching our room to a gulf view. The second room was cleaner, but there were mini ants in the kitchen and crawling along the crown molding. There was also a section of carpet ripped up, with the metal tacks exposed in the doorway between the bedroom and kitchen, which we had to cover with a towel. The hand soap dispenser was ripped out of the wall as well, and the pull out sofa was reinforced with 2x4s. They also nickel and dime you...we had five people in the room but because it was a one bedroom, we were only allowed two free beach chairs. Had to pay for the others (even though there were many free). There's also a resort fee and a parking fee per day. There were many open spaces to park. But we were still charged $25/day to park.
- 5/5
Great place for families! No svortage of things to do. Beaches were clean and clear. Numerous pools to use. Great time will definitely return!!
- 5/5
It was the perfect getaway!
- 5/5
I love it very pet friendly
- 4/5
Room was clean but dated . We stayed on the 4 th floor and there was a funny smell in the carpeted hallways.
- 5/5
Was only there one night, Associates were nice and room was good. Will go back
- 5/5
I will definitely be back
- 5/5
Great stay ! We extended our stay !
- 5/5
I went here for my 53rd birthday to relax and unplug, my first solo trip and it was the best vacation to date! Very clean the food was amazing the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating just an overall great place to visit

Nice room and the staff was wonderful. Every worker that passed you said hello, asked how is your stay, or do you need anything? 10 out of 10. Right on the beach and the grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Definitely recommend
- 5/5
We loved everything in our stay. Amenities are great! Staff rocked it.
- 5/5
Would be excellent girls trip!
- 5/5
Room was great; like a small apartment; had everything; clean and great view of Gulf of Mexico
- 4/5
clean room and courteous check in
- 5/5
Beautiful view of the beach plus really like the new wristbands to get into the room and put food and drink on your room 😊
- 4/5
Room was a bit worn, but the staff, location and amenities are great. We love to stay here and will be back again.
- 5/5
We got an upgrade on the room , the service was amazing ; hotel, amenities , everything was excellent.
- 5/5
One of the best beaches on earth. The building is exactly as it promotes. Everyone is nice. I’d book there again without hesitation.
- 4/5
Clean room. Good decor. Lots of activities. Staff pleasant.
- 5/5
Even when the facilities are outdated, the cleanliness was great, our room was done every day, leaving it spotless; the housekeepers were courteous and flexible to accommodate to our needs. Restaurant and cafeterias good, swimming pools cleaned every day. Thank you Trade Winds for an awesome stay.
- 2/5
We were also charged unexpected taxes and fees on top of what we had already paid upfront. Also, they required a $150 deposit per night and held it for seven days, and part of it still hasn’t been refunded. To sum up, the whole experience felt questionable.
- 4/5
Location overall and lanai with view of pool and ocean.
- 5/5
All
- 5/5
Room was spotless very well equipped. Staff or super friendly great places to stay.
- 5/5
We arrived at noon the staff checked us in and they had a room ready for us. Our room was very clean and ready for our mini vacatiuon.
- 1/5
Small room was advertised to be much larger room bathroom ceiling was leaking water, fridge not working housekeeper knocked on my door 930 when check out not till 11 phone did not work aswell very disappointing thought better of Tradewinds and the rum fish location I travel all over never complain but this stay was unbelievable
- 4/5
There were areas of the resort that were a bit dated and needed some attention.
- 5/5
Great location and beautiful amenities near the beach i.e. comfy sofas with the barbecue pit and hammock. That’s what drove me to this location.
- 5/5
Great family vacation
- 4/5
Rumfish is nice and there is no shortage of things to do in the area. There are plenty of good places to eat and the sunsets are wonderful. Hotel is a little outdated and the elevator is temperamental at times. Will stay there again
- 5/5
Always have a nice time here. Comfy beds. Close to everything. Right on the beach. No charge for loungers and umbrellas
- 5/5
Great family vacation with plenty to do for the kids
- 5/5
Great time
- 5/5
Great amenities - pools and hot tub were perfect. We spent time in the hammocks shaded by beautiful trees. The beach was exceptionally clean and sand was super soft and white. Loved the beach loungers. Clean newly decorated rooms.
- 4/5
All good
- 3/5
Room was in poor condition. A/C did not work properly and the vanity/sink leaked. The hotel had hidden fees that were unknown at time of booking. Parking should have been included in hotel price. Average experience.
- 5/5
Stayed here for vacation with family. Direct beach access which is what we wanted. Staff was friendly, especially at the pool bar. Housekeeping cleaned every day.
- 5/5
Was wonderful!
- 5/5
My husband and I very pleased and grateful for the friendly staff. The room was comfortable, and we were happy overall with our stay. Thank you for the great service! Can’t wait to go back for all amenities :-)
- 5/5
Best place clean and has alot of good entertainment
- 5/5
The room was better than expected. Ocean view and a balcony.
- 5/5
Clean room great location. Check in was fast and received a nice welcome glass of champagne. Beach was beautiful and staff was helpful especially Ashley with our cocktails!
- 4/5
The Beach view is great, staff is wonderful. The room phones don’t work, The keys to the room had to be reprogrammed twice and I am disabled. The Beach was ok from the Rumfish resort but then stopped at the Island Grand about 35 feet from the resort and no way to use my scooter. So I had to turn around. So accessibility wasn’t the best. Staff were Fantastic.
- 5/5
Nice rooms, fun free activities. Free towels, umbrellas and chairs at the beach. Overall great place to stay.
- 4/5
Room was clean and spacious
- 4/5
Very nice property. Clean with friendly staff. One restaurant was a 10+(petes grill) and one was not good at all (Rumfish grill) in our experience. Staff was friendly. Laid back, comfortable experience. Much more laid back then my experiences on floridas east coast. We will be coming back to St Pete’s beach.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean
- 5/5
The resort was clean, the staff was very nice, there were dining options between the two resorts. The beach loungers and umbrellas were free and after 11:30 you could order drinks and food be delivered to the beach. The gentlemen that set up the umbrellas and chairs were great. Definitely recommend and would stay there again.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, service, beach access, location
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
Arrived early was told our room would be ready after lunch, went back at 2 no rooms, finally at 415 they decided to upgrade our room to get us into somewhere. I understand they were still fixing up rooms after last years hurricane but they could have let us know that at the time of booking the rooms. Lots of workers and sounds and smells of paint. All in all the site was ok.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Have been coming to this property for the past nine years. Always a pleasant experience, Cortez the bartender is amazing.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was super friendly.
- 5/5
We had a good stay! The room was very nice and provided many amenities, the only thing is it could’ve been a tiny bit cleaner. But the staff was very amicable and made sure we had everything we needed. The location and beach access was so convenient.
- 5/5
This is the third day for my husband and I ..Love the vibe and feel at this resort. The beach, pool and location on the boulevard is perfect! Arrived early to resort and room was ready. Also received an upgrade with no extra charge. My only complaint about this site is the musty smell in hotel room and mildew in bathroom. Perhaps no carpet and hotel rooms and hallways would be a suggestion.staff always wonderful and friendly.
- 5/5
Friendly helpful staff. Love the beach. Little disappointed no cabanas anymore. Supposedly town regulations.
- 5/5
Loved this resort. Food was great. Bartenders fun! Beach is beautiful! Got what we paid for plus! Would prefer if the pool by bar was adults only.
- 4/5
Nice place still recovering from hurricane
- 5/5
The staff was really helful and engaging.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
Easy to walk around resort. Access to grocery store was not available and few options on the resort. Some of the furniture in the suite we had needs replacing- dirty, burn mark on it, etc
- 5/5
Wonderful spot with friendly folk and excellent amenities.
- 5/5
Amazing staff would love to come back again. Clean rooms. Great beach access and lots of stuff to do after dark.
- 5/5
Wonderful views. Stayed in October. Work still be completed on bottom floor rooms. Lots of construction workers. Very few people in the resort area. Felt like we were the only ones there at times. The only complaint we had on the rooms was the floors did not get mopped often. Nightly music and campfire s'mores. We walked everywhere or got a beach ride. Very peaceful. We will be back!
- 5/5
Wonderful stay!
- 3/5
Staff is great prices and fees are too high
- 5/5
Very clean & friendly staff. Has a lot of great options of fun things to do!
- 5/5
Was originally skeptical with the reviews but still took a chance, we were very pleased. The amenities were amazing. From the the paddle boats to volleyball. Basketball and tennis to shuffleboard and other side games. The sunset and soft sand. Look forward to the next time
- 3/5
Na
- 5/5
Love it here
- 3/5
The rooms are becoming outdated.
- 5/5
Everything was beautiful! Rooms just needs a little up dates. Amazing staff and activities on property.
- 5/5
We will be back
- 3/5
I didn’t like the fact that I didn’t have a beach view on the second stay. The parking lot was a very bad view. The second stay the room was very small, cramped, tv was very small, noisy, curtains didn’t close all the way so parking lot lights flooded the room(I need a dark room to sleep). If I had the room I did on the first stay, I would have been satisfied. What we got was unsatisfactory. The rooms really need to be updated with newer fixtures and usb outlets and amenities.
- 2/5
The property was not the best. No one at front desk when we checked out and almost missed our flight home. The bathroom was broken and no one fixed it.
- 4/5
Ckean room, cold air a quiet place but very nice
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Great location. Love having a kitchen. Beach set up available. 2 pools. Beach bar is pricy. Everyone very nice & helpful. Just so you know: only 3 umbrellas around pool and cannot ask for one. Elevators do not have AC. No "adult only" pool.
- 5/5
The rooms are big and comfortable and right by the beach. We went for a friends birthday so stayed 1 night and left later in the afternoon the next day. The staff super friendly. The food and cocktails were really good. We’ll come back again!
- 2/5
Room was clean but outdated, air conditioning was cool
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Alot of ammenities included with Resort fee.
- 5/5
Mark provided get service at the kitchen
- 4/5
Our only issue was one elevator wouldn't open on our floor but was fixed the same day.
- 2/5
Very old place
- 1/5
No rags holes in the cutains and i was double charged 850 for one night
- 5/5
Absolutely beautiful beach and well-maintained property. Great time around the pool with the bar and music. Very fun and relaxing time!
- 5/5
Our beach view was beautiful! The sand was soft and the water was clear! Our first room was a garden view so we asked to be upgraded our next room was very musty smelling so we switched rooms.. was a bit disappointed that we had to pay for the upgrade. All in all we will most likely to return !
- 4/5
Only 1 working elevator
- 5/5
Good condition
- 3/5
1 elevator working , sharing with workman , & Cleaners Workman watching ladies , it was disgraceful
- 5/5
Nice atmosphere, staff accommodating and friendly....really nice experience
- 5/5
The only downside was the elevator and the shower — just one elevator working and low water pressure.
- 5/5
Staff very helpful and friendly, great location and great food.
- 5/5
Have stayed here 4 years in row. Will do again.
- 3/5
Hotel is dated. Main lobby elevator was down
- 4/5
This resort could benefit with a updated software for checking in and making changes.
- 5/5
The room was a letdown, but other than that the beach was great. The restaurant was good. Gift shop was pretty cool.
- 3/5
Average rooms. Hallways had no air-conditioning. Nice live music. Great to have access to chairs and umbrellas.
- 5/5
Place was beautiful.
- 2/5
Was flooding all around and throughout the property after a regular rain storm. All the activities that were supposed to be included with your resort fee were canceled. Not many food options at all, especially during the day.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay there
- 5/5
Loved
- 4/5
I enjoyed the resort activities and pools included at the property. The wrist band “key cards” are an amazing idea for the guests! Would love to return in the future.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel , we have stayed in other hotels on the beach and this one was definitely one of the best .
- 2/5
N/A
- 4/5
Not many food options Silly to charge 15 dollars fee for front row beach chairs when the amenity fee is pricey Cool aquarium restaurant Loved the tiki bars and drinks were strong Loved the kareoke night and the live music nightly Fun water slide Room was cool just outdated but construction was going on during stay
- 2/5
Everything it was ok until my last day when they do not clean the room we been out side almost all day and come back at night and they did not clean . But the installations ok music by the pool Good the guy who made bombones very good the guy who gave us the umbrella very good. The only issue was about the dirty room. Hope the give me a credit or something.
- 4/5
It was nice and relaxing and right in the beach! The interior is a little dated but comfortable. We had everything we needed in the little kitchenette. I wish we could have stayed longer. The beds are very comfy!
- 5/5
We had suck an amazing weekend! Next time we will have to stay longer because there is so much to do!
- 5/5
Best
- 1/5
When we arrived the room did not have towels, the safe was already locked and we had to wait on them to reopen it, and the A/C quit working due to the drain being dirty and plugged! Staff done a decent job but a lot of money for a trip that should have been peaceful and relaxing. They are also doing remodeling so at 9 am be prepared for banging and clanging from those projects as well. We travel to this resort often and this trip was one that was very disappointing
- 5/5
Nice place
- 3/5
Beach chairs are 18 near water which is not close. 55 a day is allot to pay for fees given cost of hotel room.
- 2/5
No hot water :(
- 1/5
Older facility aging poorly. Peeling paint & ceiling stains in places. Worst is 1 elevator for their 6 story building & it was out of service for hours on Saturday! Front desk staff are not friendly & helpful. I don’t recommend it!
- 5/5
Staff
- 4/5
Chris (front desk) and Kase (run beach attendant) went above and beyond and were very helpful getting us situated and it was really good help
- 5/5
Clean and beautiful beach
- 2/5
first night no TV or phone in the room was out. Beds need to be relaced horrible room was very small also the bathroom. Not worth the money
- 5/5
Nate is a great bartender. As is Rachel. The beach facilities were clean and easy. The beach staff didn’t seem to be all there.
- 2/5
The hotel was hot inside, humid, musty smell. The elevator stopped working twice. The rugs in the hallway are lifted. I requested service and towels on the app and it wasn't sent up until I called front desk from the actual room phone. All the activities are mostly at Island Grand and noone specifies that. The staff doesn't know where stuff is unless they have a map. It rained and the hallways had water coming in from the roof. For the price I paid of $900 for the weekend plus hotel fees for the activities its not worth it.
- 5/5
My only negative remarks would be that I put in three service requests on the app for the TV to be fixed in my room and put in a request in person at the front desk, but nothing ever happened. My TV never got fixed.
- 4/5
great location
- 5/5
Great staff 👍👍👍👍 Did not like the rum fish restaurant tourist trap Over priced !!!
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Also had a dead cockroach in room and front desk said they were native to the area- fine, but should not have a bug like that in a room anytime
- 3/5
I didn’t like it
- 1/5
The room was gross. My toilet didn't work for a majority of the stay. We came for my grandmas memorial was supposed to be a nice family stay. Instead we over paid for a POS hotel that barley had towels. The staff spoke no English . Our room was dirty. $400 deposit for a room that smelled like mold . Not a damn thing was worth $100 in that room.
- 4/5
Good
- 2/5
Our toilet kept getting backed up, a long with all the rooms around us.
- 3/5
Las instalaciones del hotel deberían estar abiertas hasta las once de la noche
- 2/5
Liked the location. Disliked the bed mattress, noisy location of room (next to door), tv not working.
- 1/5
They charged us for parking when that was NEVER discussed up front.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Location is fantastic. Staff was wonderful! Hotel elevators were a nightmare and stairways were dark and dirty. Rooms were dated but very clean with great views.
- 4/5
It's ok hotel
- 4/5
Nice place
- 4/5
I like it
- 1/5
Terrible experience. People smoking marijuana all day, impossible to keep the door open because of the smell. When it rains, the place is full of puddles and hard to walk around. The area feels very unsafe. The room phone doesn’t work and the air conditioner is extremely noisy. In 5 days, we only had housekeeping service once. Definitely do not recommend.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel for sure come back.
- 5/5
I like the property
- 5/5
Nice place, location and staff. public transportation from the resort with trade winds key is free
- 5/5
The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet
- 5/5
Go every year. Always a joy to be there.
- 1/5
When was microwave broke and electrical wires were spark or smell a very bad hole and we had to get our room switched, there was construction going on every single day. Our entire stay before 7 o’clock in the morning till around 7 o’clock at night, very noisy very inconvenient the construction workers half the parking lot that we paid the parking lot. The rain flooded the parking lot the elevator kept breaking and had to use the stairs, the construction workers had the washer and dryer room blocked off the entire stay, room service did not come two days in a row. The ice machine was watery, and there were no more vending machines.
- 4/5
Very nice and clean
- 5/5
Awesome place
- 4/5
Was a decent room with gulf front view. In a side separate building small bath 2 beds. . Fair condition. Location is excellent and pools, beach, and bars/ restaurants are very good and reasonable prices for on the beach.
- 1/5
Starting with check-in, we were not able to get into our room until 5:30 pm even though check in is at 4:00. Once in the room, the "air conditioner" was extremely loud, the room was damp and it smelled musty. The AC was never able to keep up and the room always smelled. Day 2 revealed that the kitchenette sink leaks and the water trap is installed incorrectly so there is also a sewer smell. This is not a 4 star hotel, 2.5 stars, maybe. The pictures of the room on expedia must be at least 10 years old because the overall condition is not as expected. With a couple exceptions the staff is not friendly, informed or helpful. The bartender in the Rumfish Grille was more interested in washing glasses than mixing us overpriced drinks. I know this sounds like a lot of complaining, but this place is bad. Read the recent other negative reviews. We stay in St. Pete Beach every year. We have had great stays at The Beachcomber and Dolphin Beach. Unfortunately they are both under construction. We are praying for the Beachcomber to be open soon.
- 3/5
Room was okay; we had toilet issues and it took over 4 hours for someone to fix it due to issues aether other property. Every night it rained which is very typical in South Florida.. The property used satellite and could not watch tv because when it trains there is no satellite. Had a friend come visit for about 3 hours and it cost $25 to park. Had a fire emergency at 4 45 am and never saw a staff member during the hour we were standing in the garage parking lot. Just disappointed with the entire property. We were "compensated" with 2 free drink coupons for the plumbing issues. Probably will not retutn to this property.
- 4/5
I didn't like paying for parking
- 5/5
Awesome stay
- 5/5
Love the amenities and staff !
- 5/5
We loved our time at the Rumfish! It’s such a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy time with family and friends. The nightly s’mores were a huge hit with the kids. The ease of going back and forth from pull to beach was awesome. And it was so nice that lounge chairs and umbrellas were included in the resort fee. The kids loved exploring all the pools, racing down the huge slide, and riding the paddle boats. We will definitely be back!
- 1/5
Why You Should Avoid This Place Dirty & Musty Rooms: Our first room smelled of sweat, particularly the bedding, and the toilet had dried urine on it. After eventually being moved to another “nicer” room, the old, dated, and rundown experience continued, albeit with less urine. Outdated: The primary issue with this place is that it is terribly outdated. No streaming TVs. Old furnishings, or none in some cases. Everything felt as if it hadn’t been touched in 10–20 years. What they charge simply doesn’t match the quality. The “Service”: The included beach chair/umbrella service was so disappointing. We set up around 11 a.m. and used our chairs for maybe an hour. When clouds rolled in and it sprinkled, staff came, removed every umbrella, stored them away, and left for the day. The rest of the day was sunny. The bartender told us we were sitting “too far away” to be served by beachside waiters, despite using the chairs they provided, which, by the way, were closer to the bar than the actual water. The Bottom Line This isn’t about us being picky or having bad luck. This is how this place is run, and that isn’t likely to change. If you book here, expect exactly what we experienced: dirty rooms, zero accountability, and service that ranges from lazy to outright lying. I promise you, this was not some one-off experience, and you will regret staying here. Please look elsewhere.
- 5/5
Plenty of food options, comfortable and clean.
- 1/5
Air conditioning wasn’t working on my room, they tried to fix it didn’t work, they give me another room the AC was ok but the noise it made was insufferable, the sheets were stained with blood, no AC in elevators. We checked out at midnight. The only good thing was the beach. I would never stay here again.
- 5/5
everyone at the hotel was friendly. There was a lot to do. Beautiful beaches. Great music great drinks great food close to everything.
- 5/5
There were so many places on property to eat, enjoy drinks, entertainment for everyone & great service on the beach with umbrellas and chairs. Hotel is clean, fun, family or couple trips. And so many pools to choose from at both properties. We had a great time and would recommend and go back!
- 4/5
The outside beach bar and beach area was really nice. The hotel was great you could tell they had been doing some remodeling. Had a little musty smell but that seems to be normal for hotels on the beach. Definitely would stay again
- 5/5
Friendly Staff, all food was excellent, nice pools, easy beach access.
- 3/5
Room smelled of mold.
- 5/5
Winds was an excellent experience for our family. We had excellent service
- 4/5
Cleaning staff did not do their job, nor did maintenance around the property.
- 2/5
Property is not in the best shape. Did like the fact that the beach is right infront and beautiful.
- 2/5
No ice on floor had to go three buildings over. Construction work. All around room. Room not clean had to call three times. Workers all over. Could not walk boxes every where.
- 2/5
Very small room, hair on the floor, saw a roach at night. The couch was split. Want be going back again to rumfish. Would like a refund
- 5/5
Needs some upgrades on current rooms, but we had a great stay there
- 4/5
Lots of food choices between both sister resorts, but they do not stay open late. Bed were very comfortable. We would stay here again. Resort has lots to offer for activities. Parking lot flooded due to torrential rain.
- 4/5
All around good stay. However..... we paid to upgrade and were on the 6th floor. To start my room door wouldnt close unless i pulled or pushed it shut, the lock didnt work as we changed keys several times had the batteries chaged and the whole lock. Very disappointing to have to go up and down 6 floors that many times with kids being locked out. An employee was speeding in the parking lot going the wrong way and almost hit.me and my child. The manager security and i got to know eachother well in 2 days. Would i stay her again.... if i had to and all other were booked. Otherwise no. Just all around a 3 star experience.
- 2/5
The room I was given had a very funky smile. Had to have my room exchange. I was there 5 days and no house keeping service . The floor had sand from the beach and dirty towels and no service . I will not return to this resort . Last day there was a malfunction with the electrical panel and alarm went off at 5:00 am and we had to vacate the resort in night gown.
- 4/5
Good food and clean place
- 1/5
Nothing like advertised. Most amenities were located at the sister resort. We had zero hot water the first night and by the second night, we had no cold water. It’s very unorganized and chaotic. There are two hotels in between the trade wind resorts which makes it inconvenient to visit both sides. The “free” amenities were actually $55 a day shown on the final bill. The elevator stopped working the second day causing us to use the stairs up to the 6th floor. The parking lot flooded after every evening storm. Some of the food shacks were closed down. They were doing a ton of reconstruction and remodeling which had workers everywhere. Not all the staff were helpful and at some points were very rude. We booked 3 nights but ended up leaving after the 2nd night. Was still charged for the 3rd night. Very disappointed and will not be booking this resort again.
- 3/5
Rooms need some cosmetic tlc. Resort fees tacked on are daily out of control. Lack of services (we had maid service 1 of our 6 days … couldn’t even get fresh towels or toilet paper). Very understaffed resort without many amenities.
- 5/5
We are very pleased with our stay. We want to especially thank Mike for his hospitality
