I stayed at a motel 6 near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania a week ago. It was a horrible place. Was almost not going to use motel 6 anymore. After coming in here it's amazing the difference. The people that run in this place are amazing. The cleanliness the friendliness everything was clean. Property was maintained. The parking lot was taken care of. This hotel kept me a customer motel. 6

Finally, if you choose to stay here, never leave without both keys. Every stay, I had to have one or both keys reprogrammed. The last time both would not work and I had to go to the front desk to have them replaced to get into my room. This hotel was the most aggravating place I’ve ever stayed. Go for one night, any more and you’ll have issues.

Beds were comfortable and room temperature was good. Uneven bathroom floor, bathroom light turns on a fan or loud noise so if you need the light on to go to the bathroom in the night, you risk waking others up.

We arrived and we were given keys for a double bedroom. We went back to the concierge and were told that the King sized bedroom that we RESERVED was given to other people, and that this was the only room left. We decided to stay since it was late and we were tired. When I was given a parking permit, and took it to our car, my wife stayed at the reception area. A man came in asking for a room, and she offered him one, which tells you that she was lying about giving us the only room left. The building in itself is very run down on the inside. I have been to several motel 6 before, and mind you I’m not expecting glamour, but this site is pretty bad like other reviews state. The hallways have a smell of humidity alongside with smoke. Once at the door of our room, we had to comeback down to the concierge since the doors wouldn’t open with the cards we were given. After entering the room we noticed that the bedsheets had old nasty stains all over them in both beds. Moreover, we found blood stains on our towels. To be honest, some of those blood stains on our towels seem recent. Through 4 until 6 am there were people being super loud on the hallway and we couldn’t sleep well. I rarely leave reviews, but please save yourself some trouble and spend a little bit more on another hotel because this is quite disappointing and disgusting altogether. God bless.

Location was good. Lots of eating places nearby. The room was not maintained or clean. There were lots of hairs on the bathroom floor and the flooring was warped and squished when walking on it - especially the bathroom.

Tons of soliciting and yelling, screaming. No extra towels, bathtub drain broken. Not the safest part of town. Watch your 6 at all times. Staff was nice with what they had to work with. Front desk and cleaning ladies were very nice, seem to tollorate alot as this was the normal experience.

Nothing There were no wash cloths, no coffee machine, no hair dryer, ironing board and iron, shampoo. The keys didn’t work for the first two times. Damp room.

The room was clean; however, we were not provided with wash cloths. We ( my husband and I ) managed by using the hand towels.

Very Getto Motel.

Broken shower, broken toilet, cigarette burns on all the bedding, water damaged floors. At least there were no bugs?

I arrived around 6:30 PM on the day of my reservation, which was booked from a thurs to Saturday. The place is bare bones but since it was a last minute trip and the other hotels were very booked or over priced this was what I thought was a reason

The hotel was clean and had a competitive nightly rate. It was okay for the money. This hotel does not provide wash cloths to guests.

The morning manager was exceptional. I required a 3am check-in and she assisted me promptly over the phone, facilitating an early check-in. Her demeanor was courteous and appreciative towards customers. However, the hotel's policy of not providing small washcloths for washing purposes was a drawback. Although she explained the rationale behind this policy, the alternative offered was extra hand towels, which would suffice.

The parking don’t have enough lighting. The rooms are fairly clean. The shower curtains are terrible. The floor tiles make noise when you walk at night and when you rent a room with two meds, micro in refrigerator. You get the disappointment of the room that you rented is not available and they give you a different room and they blame Expedia because according to them, Expedia did not send a message of the room that I reserved. When I asked them that the room they register me and it’s not the room that I register. I have been told that I need to speak with Expedia about that dish. Very disappointing.

I booked a non-smoking room through Hotels.com, but when I arrived, the front desk told me only a smoking room was available. They refused to cancel my reservation, and I was also unable to cancel it through Hotels.com. The front desk staff was rude and unprofessional. I had no choice but to leave and book another hotel. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel. The property also seemed unclean, and there was a noticeable smell of smoke near the front desk.

Not a good overall experience. Very rude lady at the front desk that works the night shift and the place is not clean

Parking was the beat part of the motel, staff was good also, good location with shops close by, but the rooms are in need of renovation and need to be cleaner. No small bottles of shampoo or body wash for showers, just one small bar of soap to wash hands, the shower was dirty, the room door would not close properly and light from the hallway would come in the room when your trying to sleep, lots of noise from upstairs guests and hallway. All in all didnt find it safe or clean. Staff and parking best of the place. Thats it simple. For 1 night it is okay but i felt 2 nights was very long and couldnt wait to leave the place.

Manager tried to get into my room at 3am I thought someone was breaking in and screamed at her to get away. Later she said she thought the room empty. I was upset and couldn’t get back to sleep. What a nightmare

This property frequently overbooks (according to the front desk staff's honest admission) which led me to being placed on a smoking floor in a smoking room. I have breathing problems, everyone on the floor smoked and got high all night long. This property is terrible, but I am actually more mad at hotels.com / expedia because it is apparent my patronage does NOT MATTER. Could not get in touch with their customer service, and I have given u on getting a refund at this point....

They gave me a dirty room that was clearly used, with no sheets or blankets I went to the front desk an no one was there and finally got a new room after a while

Made reservations on Hotels.Com for a King Bed for one night, Hotels.com says rooms have coffee maker that is false. When checking in I was told my room was given away and that would have to settle for a room with two double beds. No coffee maker in room, no hair dryer in room, not even a small refrigerator to keep things cool for my travels the next day. Also barking dogs will keep you awake at this hotel. I honestly don’t get all the good reviews about this hotel. Only good thing is that’s it’s close to Amtrak Station for which is the sole reason I booked this hotel. My advice pay the extra $15-$20 bucks for a better hotel that doesn’t allow pets and has a breakfast in the morning and coffee maker and refrigerator in the room. Avoid Motel 6!

One of the evening staff tried to charge me twice for the room the same day when I booked for another night. I showed him the confirmation, and he tried to say I did not pay after showing them the confirmation. You cannot do that to your customers.

The sink in our room was clogged when we arrived. My husband went to talk to the staff the next morning and they didn’t seem to understand. My husband was able to unclog the sink and removed a huge ball of hair.

And the bathrooms appear to be dirty all the time. The floors are always dirty. A towel was left on the door as if the cleaning was never done. Guest always being loud in the hallways. Great location. Nice staff. Room was spacious. Very surprised that there is smoking in the building. Residual smells still comes through vents. The entrance s.elled of weed. Perhaps have designated area for smokers away from lobby entrance. The bathroom fan in room was way to loud when turned on. Drowned out the sound of the TV on normal volume.

I thought they had a non-customer friendly attitude, and a "give a care" (not) disposition about the lack of hot water. They might be the cheapest place to stay in Springfield, but i recommend you spend more money and stay somewhere else. There were lots of people smoking around the motel, and not only cigarettes.

The door needs to be looked at because it doesn’t close easily - it sticks. They do a good job with the cleanliness of the property. I just had a lousy experience when I wanted to book a couple more weeks and was told I couldn’t because my dogs made the room stink too much! So much for being pet friendly!

I was not expecting a clean room, and was ready to try someplace else if it wasn’t, but I have to say, the Motel 6 has extremely clean rooms I felt very confident and happy staying in. Kind of surprising actually, as it’s situated in a very seedy area. It’s really cheap, so you know it’s not going to be fancy in any way, but when I need a cheap room again I will come back to this Motel 6.

When it rains, no cable power goes out every other day. Staff is horrible. Check in receptionist everyone’s a manager. Fourth floor smells like cigarettes AC don’t work in the room. Toilet takes a long time to flush. Maintenance guy tries to bust in the door at 11 o’clock.

The lobby stank of smoke and weed. I really felt bad for the checkin lady as she had to suffer thru all of this - it’s the clientele The room was so so. Bathroom sink was dirty. It wasn’t cleaned as there was gunk stuck in there. Smoky and musty smells in the room. I think the AC was being ing in the smoke from other rooms or outside. So I had to turn it off Slept for 6 hours Absolutely no breakfast is offered besides free coffee with small cups and no lids. I did ask. You will meet people who are smoking right outside the lobby so you will be getting tons of second hand smoke Good luck

came in for a late check-in. front desk agent said my reservation was not paid and that she couldn't find it. she asked me to call Expedia because that's who I did the reservation. once Expedia had called her, she said she found it. it took an hour for her to process the payment. saying she did not know how to do this. so we waited until she was able to check us in. and constantly showing her receipts payment process.

I am enjoying myself with peace and quiet vibes. Close to everything i need, as well as close to my job. I just signed up for 5 more nights,until Monday morning, and hopefully i can extend a little longer knowing i just lost my housing. Thank God for Motel 6 and your assistance with a great price. Hope you can find me more reasonable price too stay longer. Thank you

They cancelled my room without informing me. I even called ahead that day to update our ETA, and they still cancelled. I was there with my kids at 2 am and they turned us away. It's probably for the best, as the area was AWFUL and the lobby felt like a prison.

The desk attendant accused me of not reserving my 2 bedroom before 11 am. After looking into she had to apologize for miss reading information in the system. I was not happy with this incident.

The stay was comfortable enough. A friend and I needed an affordable place to stay while we saw a concert in Tysons and the staff here were very nice and welcoming. It's nothing fancy, but all the facilities worked, the beds were clean, and the room was cold.

Cons: the room smelled terrible, the outlet in the bathroom did not work, the room was not cleaned at all the 5 days we stayed, had to ask for new towels every day, the wifi cut you off every hour, the power went out, surrounding neighborhood was dirty. Pros: the bed was comfortable, convenient location to shopping areas. Would not stay again.

Some of the guests were slightly sketchy but expected for the price. Would stay again

This is a decent place to stay. There's nothing elaborate or fancy but the room waa clean and comfortable. Id return here before I would ever return to the Best Western or Holiday Inn in the sane area. Thats saying something!!!!

I stayed here months ago and had to leave after a miscommunication. Came back and it was dirtier and not safe for a family.

Basic room for overnight stay.

The motel ia not safe side doors to stairs kept open with anyone can access the. Bathroom without all newded supply. Linens not clean.

I was very surprised by the cleanliness of this motel room. The hallways had some construction going on but nothing to detract from our room. We were passing thru and this was a great place to rest.

Hotel was very clean i was moved to another room due to construction and that room was clean as well. The hallways smelled nice and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again

I have been used this hotel before it was not like this room I booked non-smoking room, but the room I had smell heavily cigarettes, The bathroom hand wash sink the faucet is splashing water I couldn’t even wash my hand, the bathroom floor. The wood is already popped out. It’s hard to close the bedroom door.

Just a crappy hotel. Keys didn’t work every time had to get a new key. Hotel still offers smoking rooms? That is insane to me. I always smelled someone smoking pot every night and I was on a “non smoking” floor. Very unsafe area around the hotel for sure.
