was clean. decent breakfast. needs new carpet and exercise room.

It was comfortable and the price was ok. There were ants in every area of the room. When I first arrived I was eating my dinner on the table when I saw a few ants. I couldn’t see where they were coming from so I only thought it was a few. When I woke the next morning there were ants crawling inside my luggage. So gross. I was very frustrated when I checked out.

No body refilling coffee. Even it's empty No qood
- 2/5
The hotel is far too expensive for what you'll find. The whole hotel smells bad, the carpets are filthy, the bed smelled bad too, and the breakfast was awful—you can't even call it breakfast, just cold boiled eggs. If you're looking for a clean place, don't go to this hotel.

I stayed for the first time there an it was exactly what I expected a hotel to be like. The staff was very helpful, my room was clean, tidy, the ac worked great. The shower was hot. It was very quiet throughout the night.I slept great and the breakfast was amazing! I will recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will definitely be booking another room with them in the future.
- 4/5
The continental breakfast was not maintained during the posted hours.

Beautiful, clean room, excellent location. I'll stay there every time I go to Springfield from now on.

Location close to I 72. Newer carpet in room. Mattress was decent. Young man at front desk was friendly, engaging. Ads tout “Premium economy” Huh? Old building. No fresh air. Hallways and elevator filthy. Lumpy pillows, poly sheets. I expected clean, no frills. Instead, a low-end hotel was sprayed with textured paint and “converted”with wimpy design and cheap furniture. Hotels in the area were booked so we endured surge pricing. We paid premium, they got economy.

Our room smelled dusty... If we come that way again, we'd ask for a room not next to the elevator, and if you have handicap accessible rooms, we'd take one of those, for ease of getting in and out of the shower..

The location is great. Breakfast is OK My bathroom had hair in it — ugh. Had noise from fan or equipment outside window that made it challenging to get to sleep. The elevator is a little scary — moves slowly and buttons don’t light up.

Great stay
- 4/5
There are no business facilities but they have wifi and the room is comfortable. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The toiletries provided were good and rather than the little sample sizes they were full size. Our room had a fridge but no in room coffee so we had to get it from the cafe in the morning.
- 2/5
There was feces in the swimming pool.
- 2/5
Basic room with stains on carpet, broken toilet, chipped bathtub, smelled like a dirty dog and very thin walls. The kicker is it was WAY overpriced. Never again.
- 5/5
All of the above.
- 5/5
Great location, clean, and friendly staff!
- 4.5/5
Clean and staff was great Nice free breakfast

Great location Friendly staff Clean rooms
- 1/5
not enough variety My room wasn't cleaned in two days of my threeday stay,no clean towels or washclothes
- 0.5/5
The bed linen was not fresh — it had crumbs and someone’s hair on it, which was very unpleasant. The shower was almost impossible to turn on; my husband and I spent about half an hour trying to make it work. On top of that, the room had an unpleasant odor as soon as we walked in. Very disappointing stay, and we would never come back.
- 5/5
Everything was great look Forward to Staying agian❤️
- 2.5/5
Could have been better. Other places of the same price point or even less, offer better breakfast options. Our room was dirty as well as the shower had previous occupants wet wash cloth with hair on it. We contacted the front desk, and he immediately put us in a new room?
- 4/5
Beds are too soft for my liking.
- 1/5
Front desk Aaron was nice. Charges added afterward and when the manager was contacted, he was unwilling to help in any way. His arrogant attitude made me feel cheated and mad. Ugh.
- 5/5
Everything I love it
- 4.5/5
Good value, clean room and comfortable bed. Coffee always available. NA
- 1.5/5
basics There was no one at the desk when I checked in or out. I had to call a number that was on a note to get in my room. There was a large area of carpet that was soaked by the AC, and there was no chair at the desk. In the bathroom, the cover for the overflow in the tub was hanging off 1 screw.
- 1.5/5
The location for us was Great. Hotel seemed clean. The room we stayed in did not have a working shower. I talked to the front desk after getting ready without out a shower bc we had an apt. The response was I can go fix it now. Problem being I didn’t have time for that. I would have thought I should have received a discount or something.
- 5/5
No complaints. Have stayed many times and they are always spot on!

The check in service was fine; I was even upgraded. However, none of the property had been cleared of the significant recent snow. Room's sofa is stained. AND, when I went to shower in the morning, the faucet didn't work properly. There was only very hot water and I couldn't turn it off and couldn't shower. In informed the front desk as I checked out that the water was still running in the tub and needed immediate attention. I'd really like a refund, honestly. First stay months back was fine; this stay will likely not encourage me to stay there again. Hilton, you can do better than this!
- 5/5
Staff was great especially A-A-Ron. He was the best, made us feel welcome.
- 4/5
Staff was great!
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff polite
- 3/5
Our room had ants. I even took a video and let the front desk know and was told a manager would be with me as there wasn’t a manager on duty at the moment. How odd is that? The tub didn’t drain so as we showered you are standing in ankle deep water. Definitely would not stay here again.
- 2/5
Just a basic room. Not great. Cheap rates
- 5/5

Parking area was Ok. Well located facility. No complains

.
- 3/5
Rooms were decent and clean but some of the trimming on the corners were coming off. The elevator was sketchy and would sometimes catch when opening and closing. Also parking lot could use some work kind of hard to push the luggage cart across with pot holes. Staff was very kind and location had lots of shopping and food close.
- 3/5
I did like the smoking smell, and the cleaning
- 1/5
No chair in our room so unable to sit in backless ottoman for long and complete my laptop work. No coffee pot as promised/shown on website. No alarm clock in the room. Room phone did not work initially. My fiance ended up tracing down and fixing the problem. Finally I slipped and fell due to wet floor in the breakfast area at about 6:10 am. This mopping should be done around 330 or 430 am. Not to wise to completely wet the floor 5 minutes before you open the area for continental breakfast. This facility was much better when it was the Fairfield inn. Very disappointed and have a sore hip for my troubles. Check in person perfect. Check out person did not have much time for me at all.
- 5/5
Wonderful hospitality and good nights sleep
- 1/5
No amenities. Pool and fitness room were advertised however when we checked in for a baseball tournament neither were available. The price is the same as the hotels across the parking lot that had all amenities. The parking lot is tiny, definitely not big enough for the whole hotel. There wasn't anywhere for the team to hang out and when a few parents were in the lobby we were told it was quiet hours, it was 9:30 on a Saturday night.
- 5/5
Our room was very clean and nice. Limited breakfast menu, but we made due. Sadly there was a truck in the other hotel parking lot that kept its engine running all night. Beds were comfortable. We would stay again.
- 5/5
Our first room had an issue with the sink, went to the desk and the lady immediately had us changed to a new room with no complaints! So helpful and kind after a long day was so appreciated!
- 3/5
It was nice
- 1/5
Terrible property. Terribly maintained. Not a single day room service was done. Staff is rude. Avoid this place.
- 5/5
Professionally and well run
- 5/5
We would’ve liked more breakfast options
- 5/5
Customer service was great!
- 5/5
Nothing of importance
- 5/5
Aaron at the desk was great and super helpful.
- 5/5
Front desk friendly and accommodating for our specific requests.
- 5/5
My stay was amazing. The room was clean, bed was really comfortable and most of all staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean rooms. I will stay here again.
- 5/5
We were very happy with our visit. Check in with Aaron was outstanding
- 5/5
Excellent check in and great hotel
- 4/5
Close to shopping and restaurants, clean linens and clean room. Check in, quick and efficient.
- 5/5
Nice new hotel. Clean, modern rooms with comfortable beds and awesome pillows. Was next to the ice machine which was loud all night but also next to the pool and couldn't hear the kiddos at all. Was really nice.
- 4/5
Overall good
- 3/5
Our hotel stay at Spark was fine. The room was overall clean, but everything felt outdated. Some of the buttons in the elevator don’t light up, the carpet is stained throughout the hotel, and the room felt old. Breakfast was left to be desired; packaged muffins and cereal with an unrefrigerated milk jug on the counter were present.
- 4/5
New facility. Super clean. Close proximity to amenities and the highway. Great place to stay if you are traveling through.
- 5/5
Nice convenient place to stay a quick overnight
- 3/5
I guess you get what you pay for
- 1/5
They charged extra fees I was under the impression of paying for. Breakfast very limited. As soon as we walked into our room, there was a soiled rag on the floor. Continuous smell of marijuana in stairwell.
- 5/5
Very clean hotel, great breakfast with healthy options. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
Pet-friendly
- 5/5
It was very clean and relaxing
- 5/5
No issues.
- 5/5
I will add this location as a go to when ever in town...
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel had been renovated recently and was very clean. The location was very close to restaurants and stores if you forgot anything you need while traveling.
- 5/5
Great stay, simple and effective!
- 2/5
I stayed for 3 nights and when the cleaning staff "cleaned" my room they didn't shut my door all the way. I was out of my room almost all day and anyone could have stolen my belongings or snuck into my room. I told the front desk person this when I checked out and didn't even get an apology. I don't plan on staying again because I feel very unsafe and the staff didn't take my safety seriously.
- 5/5
It’s a great place nice and clean
- 2/5
The entire bed set was extremely wrinkled and the bath towels were faded yellow not white. It looked really bad and unsanitary.
- 5/5
Property was clean, Quiet, can do immediately.Located next to shopping and restaurants would stay here again.Staff was very nice
- 5/5
Always a comfortable stay
- 3/5
Cold very limited cheap grade breakfast. Does not meet Hilton quality expectations. Hotel appeared new in pictures. Instead, old hotel renovated with low grade materials. Floors squeaked in hallway and room. Mattress protector plastic feel material with cheap wrinkled thin bedding. Uncomfortable to sleep on. Pool broke/closed. Overpriced compared to competitors. Good cosmetic interior decorating in room. Updated bathroom and furniture. HVAC worked well. Very clean. Very nice staff.
- 5/5
Great place
- 3/5
Overall our stay was good. The rooms have been updated and are clean. The walls are thin and you can hear every noise outside the room. The TV was nice and updated, but the remote to turn up the volume was missing. We had to ask the front desk for help. The breakfast was extremely limited to variety. Mainly bagels and toast. No fresh fruit or waffles. The pool was out and was looking forward to using it.
- 4/5
Not in the nicest part of Springfield, IL however the front desk manager was quite helpful and the property is in good shape with a modern design.
- 1/5
No shampoo in the shower. Did not find this out until after i was in the shower. Breakfast was a joke. Pretty much no breakdat. Nothing hot no meat or eggs, no waffles, no bread for toast, there was nothing but a bowl of individual yogurts and 2 cereals no kid would eat. Had to go to a McDonald's for breakfast. Very sad the money we spend to just have a bed and no amenities.
- 4/5
The pool was under repair which was disappointing since the kids wanted to swim.
- 5/5
Lovely place very quiet employees there really welcome and helpful. Love my stay.
- 4/5
Great room. I will stay again when I the area.
- 5/5
Excellent location, clean, staff are extremely helpful and nice. Deloris is always so sweet and helpful.
- 5/5
Byron is always friendly and always wears a smile. So polite and always as, if everything is ok, do you need anything. All around excellent!!
- 5/5
The property was great and dog friendly!
- 5/5
Everything was fine except there was no microwave in the room
- 4/5
The young man that checked me in was so kind.. That was nice. Oddly...the room was clean...MY ONLY COMPLAINT..all the towels wash cloths were washed but were horribly stained and dirty looking.. need new fresh towels!!!! Other than that . It was ok
- 4/5
The interior of the room was very nice. The hallway decor needs updating . The breakfast is very skimpy. It was only bagels , juice and yogurt . No warm items such as eggs , meat etc. Luckily the hotel is by a walmart , mcdonalds and portillos . I Would stay there again.
- 2/5
Hotel was EXTREMELY noisy. I called the front desk twice. Noise outside as well. Other guests running in the hall and jumping off the bed upstairs - noise and lots of people in the parking lot. Management did nothing.
- 1/5
They provided used towels all hair and brown spots on towels , washroom was dirty like hell hair all over bedsheets was dirty
- 3/5
Being from out of town the water at hotel had a funny taste to me.
- 3/5
The Breakfast is not much coffee and bagels and stale cereal
- 4/5
I stay here often for work, and I sleep quite well. The walls are a little thin, but the hotel is nice.
- 3/5
Too loud
- 5/5
Vivek made sure everything went well. Very nice hotel for the money
- 4/5
Hilton’s new Spark is doing an outstanding job in offering budget accommodations with great style. Funky wire lighting fixtures, sleek seating, and sharp accent walls in the lobby. Comfy beds, good quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and a cool accent wall in the room. Excellent placement of reading lights, which are also thoughtfully designed. Plenty of horizontal space for your things. The only problem we had was that the shower water was tepid, so clearly some work needs to be done there. We didn’t mention it to Vivek, the very personable manager, due to time constraints. The breakfast was basic and high in gluten, which we avoid, so we can’t really comment on that. We’d be happy to stay again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, clean and comfortable!
- 3/5
The room wasn’t the cleanest. The breakfast was mediocre. My room keys were disabled the night before check out so I felt unwelcome and rushed to leave the next morning.
- 5/5
Excellent cleanliness
- 4/5
All good but no hot breakfast
- 5/5
Great stay
- 2/5
Pls don't say free breakfast. Bagel and coffee and juice is not breakfast for all. Cereals are sold separately. TV had no volume. Manager brought the master remote and adjusted. Once the tV was turned off and everything reset and we had to watch TV like it was on mute.
- 3/5
The room was nice and the facility was clean the gentleman that checked me in was nice but when we checked out we left a outfit hanging in the closet and I called 30 minutes later when I realized it they were suppose to have housekeeping check for it and they never called me back so I called them again and now no one sees it and they don’t see it in lost and found so someone stole it! I double checked my bag and I know exactly where it was left someone just stole a brand new outfit.
- 4/5
Love it here
- 1/5
Very disappointed the floors were nasty and sticky. I stayed on the second floor and multiple rooms were just opened not sure why. They did not have mattresses covers just the fitted sheet down. I pray they do not have bed bugs.
- 5/5
Clean, modern rooms with comfortable beds. Great location - conviently located next to shopping center (Walmart & Target), a grocery store (Aldi), & restaurants.
- 2/5
Really nice property. I was told I would be charged $30 for deposit like everywhere does and it would be returned when I left. Not only did it not get returned, they don't even seem to know how. So, I got ripped off $30
- 5/5
Convenient location. Courteous check in
- 5/5
Cleanliness stood out.
- 4/5
The location for me, was great. My only small complaint is the lights that shown in the room at night. I would suggest some black out curtains that covered the window length and width. The last night I was there, the people above me were either jumping off the bed until 1am, or stomping around the room. I got maybe 3 hours of sleep before my 9.5 hour drive home. Not sure anything can be done about that. However, yes, the staff was super and the breakfast was great. I would stay there again!!
- 5/5
Easy to check in and nice big beds
- 4/5
The deadbolt was broken. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
I arrived at the hotel at 415pm. I was advised that the room wasn't ready because it wasn't cleaned yet. I was told to come back in an hour. I came back at 530pm and the room still wasn't ready. At 6pm the room was finally ready. I should have to wait 3 hours after check in for the room to be ready. The hotel did nothing to compensate for this. There were 3 other people whose rooms were not ready as well.
- 2/5
The room was disgusting! My kid has hair floating in her bath, then to find out, I don’t hunk the bathroom had been cleaned at all! Now hand towels or washcloths. The floor was dirty and the sweeper had been ran. All the front desk said, the maids are lazy…
- 3/5
But, don't think you are going to get away w/ taking the Free Soaps and Shampoos like at other hotels - b/c here they are glued to the wall! I think the TV was kinda small, and my bed's mattress seemed rather worn out and lumpy, but I did like their bathroom and full tub. The employees were friendly.
- 4/5
Floor’s definitely needed some work. Floor was soft in one place by elevator and inside the door of our room by bathroom door was really soft. But overall very clean and staff was great!
- 4/5
Need more onsite maintenance during weekends. The TV cable array of channels is inadequate. Consider developing coupons to adjacent restaurants & shops for guests. The door keys & locks are awkward in operation. Start a frequent guest incentive plan.
- 4/5
We have stayed there 2 times and both time were quiet but like everything else the staff was over worked and put in tremendous hours and were tired,
- 4/5
Only thing is that our room didn't have a microwave.
- 3/5
With no microwave available and no freezer compartment in the fridge, the amenities, while modern, seemed somewhat lacking for the room rate being charged.
- 2/5
The blanket was very soiled that was on the bed. Had huge spots that looked fresh not laundered. Only 2 towels in room for 4 of us. I asked for more they said did have any. No Kleenex in room. Beds uncomfortable.
- 1/5
The room was muggy
- 5/5
This was very comforting to me. Front check in staff Miss Ava is incredibly welcoming and kind. She is a wonderful front face for Fairfield Hotels!
- 4/5
The hotel was clean but older. The pool was down but the room was nice and it was quiet. Breakfast was ok too!!
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and the room was clean.
- 3/5
Property had a musty moldy smell. Mold in my bathroom. No non-feather pillows, so I had to sleep on bath towels bc of allergies to down/feathers. External door card scanner was broken so no security at all. No recycling bins available only trash. The only good thing was the employees who were great!
- 2/5
Hair found in tub upon check in. The tub coating was peeling and continued during my shower. The towels smelled like cooking grease. Not enough parking. I was told to park in a dark Target parking lot across the street. As a woman that is a HUGE safety issue. The front desk person didn’t apologize or seem to care. His response was “ what do you want me to do, I can’t help how many cars people brought” The pool had a sign on the door that it was shut down my department of public health. The bathroom was tiny. You could barely open and close the door. Just save your money and stay somewhere where they actually care.
- 5/5
Great place and quiet great breakfast and good customer service
- 5/5
Had a overnight stay here en route to Michigan, from oklahoma. Easy check in, helpful staff and clean room. Chef Heather really made the stay special with amazing breakfast and her claim to fame spinach quiche. I would highly recommend anyone looking to stay in the area.
- 5/5
I asked for a 1st floor room because a have a bad knee and when we got there she gave us a room for wheelchair that worked out perfect. I was very impressed thanks.
- 4/5
Some areas had dust and the rest room was not well cleaned
