Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness of the rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location. However, the proximity to train tracks causing noise disturbances and the presence of homeless individuals in the surrounding area are frequent complaints.
- Clean rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Noise from nearby train tracks

I actually felt as though this place covered it all. Breakfast at a nearby diner, parking covered in the lot and/or a lot across the street (with validation). Our stay was great!
- 4/5
Older hotel - nice bathroom renovation but not a good layout - you walk into the shower to turn the water on - that water is COLD at first. Trains are near the property - probably a nuisance for some. Breakfast was at another place down the street but the line for it (and they were slow) was too long to wait - thankfully a Starbucks was near by - Parking and location - OK
- 4/5
Room was clean. Parking was safe and plentiful. Great breakfast included. Helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
It is reasonably priced by my old man status, it's expensive but not stupidly expensive.
- 5/5
Good hotel in a great location! The free breakfast at Rosie’s was amazing, highly recommend the breakfast burrito!
- 5/5
The person who was working on June 3, 20026 at night. Was very helpful.
- 4/5
The room was basic and clean. I liked that it was downtown Spokane, and close to everything. The complimentary breakfast at an adjacent sister property was good.
- 4/5
Good for quick stay

everything was great, had great sleep, walked around town with my dog and we had a great experience.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the staff courteous, parking easy. I love the nearness of restaurants and the mid-century style of the Steam Plant!
- 5/5
Clean room and the staff were friendly
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
The motel was conviently located near downtown, and was very nice. The only negative is the trainline right next to the property. To paraphrase the Blues Brothers, the train runs often enough to not notice it.
- 2.5/5
Location was good Cleanliness was lacking. Floors could have been cleaner. I booked a 2 night stay. Upon the second night I was locked out of the room, had to go have my room key cards reprogrammed. Less than convenient. Also had to pay additionally for parking on property which was unsecured.

The staff was every helpful, giving us information about what to do in Spokane.

Front desk folks were quick and helpful.

Location was excellent. Seems to be confusion on parking and what hours breakfast is served. Loved the ability to walk anywhere in downtown.

The location, breakfast, old movies playing in parking lot, the bathrooms were nice, and the late checkout. Wish it had a hot tub at least

Great location, clean and comfortable beds. The hotel is older but the pricing, location and free parking make it an attractive option.

The room smelled like urine. The shower leaked. The bed was very uncomfortable. One of the staff lied. The lower level parking is a nightmare. The AC rattled the entire time it was on. The hotel is right next to the train tracks, which runs constantly. A cashless hotel with coin operated laundry.
- 5/5
Room wasn’t completely wheelchair accessible.
- 2/5
Tv in room did not work. Had to follow up with staff twice to get things resolved. The biggest issue however is the proximity to the train tracks which is not directly disclosed anywhere in the description of this place. They do however have ear plugs in the room waiting for you
- 4/5
Nice spot, fairly clean for downtown, convenient parking staff was great. Room had a smell that was hard to get over including what looked like vomit splatter on the wall.
- 3.5/5
Location and parking Kind of noisy

The check in was very professional and my room request was taken care of with no issue. Parking was super easy even on a very busy weekend. This is super close to everything I needed and more. The breakfast was excellent and the workout facility amazing!
- 4/5
Yes but vending machine near office was out of product
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very helpful taking care of a parking ticket I shouldn't have received and allowed 12pm checkout for free. It was nice that 2pm was also an option for a small fee.
- 5/5
Me and my girlfriend had stayed at this location for Bloomsday and the staff was absolutely the best. They were very kind and helpful and very clear in the instructions. Parking was great and the surrounding locations made it very easy to find a place to have a meal. The room was also very affordable and the only issue I had was I felt like the water pressure could be a little better in the shower, but besides that it was perfect.
- 3.5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was a major train line that ran next to the hotel, would have like to know this before booking.

Best perk was the free breakfast at a nearby restaurant.
- 5/5
Wonderful and cozy stay with wonderful staff!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Room smelled like diapers and old people. Opened the door every time we walk in it smelled awful. It was clean but had just a weird smell to it. I’ve stayed here many times and was not impressed. Staff is friendly and cool and everything was great just the weird smell got to me.
- 5/5
Clean property and cool location.
- 3/5
I wanted to love this hotel because it was so cute, but we had a lot of inconveniences. First of all, our room had a cat pee smell that we could hardly stand. We tried to turn the heat on because the room was very cold, but it had a burning smell, so we left it off. The remote for the TV didn’t work so we had to watch one channel. We woke up a couple times to people being loud outside our room. We were only there for around 10 hours, so we didn’t complain. The train noise didn’t bother us. The staff was really friendly and I liked chatting with them.
- 4/5
Location is convenient to downtown and riverfront park. Staff was courteous.
- 5/5
Parking was easy. Only $5 extra. Location was excellent. A very short walk to Riverfront Park.
- 5/5
Nice, affordable property with very helpful front desk staff. Excellent included breakfast just down the block. Earplugs provided if needed!😁
- 3/5
Clean rooms, Staff was very nice when checking in, parking is tight. It is loud for example : trains several times a night, people (homeless primarily) yelling in streets, guests drunk and coming back late yelling. So be prepared. Also the water pressure is low, beds are OK but not the best, free breakfast was a joke. The food was adequate but the service was lacking. Took 30 mins to get bisquits and gravy and a burrito. Too long!!!
- 3/5
I felt deceived, exterior facing doors are called a MOTEL. Hotel implies interior corridor doors Andy a centralized lobby. I don’t feel as safe in a motel and would not have picked this venue.
- 5/5
This was a clean quiet hotel. I couldn't hear the trains from room and the breakfast at Rosie's was a nice addition.
- 4/5
Our stay was nice with everything being as expected. Only improvement I’d recommend is having the curtains closer to the window to eliminate excess light.
- 3/5
A bit run down but not terrible. Location is great.
- 2/5
Hotel is a Motel that’s open to the homeless that surround the area. The train runs regularly and you get no sleep!
- 2/5
The Steam Plant Hotel is a good place to stay. However, the breakfast didn't meet me expectations of what a 'breakfast included' should be. It wasn't in the hotel. It was down the street in a restaurant. You got to pick a limited number of items from the menu for free, or get a discount off the rest of the breakfast menu. What was really disappointing was that they charged you for coffee! If you walked back to the hotel, you could get coffee for free at the snack room.
- 4/5
Staff was nice
- 4/5
Room was clean, simple and basic amenities (which was expected). Staff was nice. Breakfast was great thanks to the diner across the street.
- 4/5
Train noise didn't bother me. Motel was clean and convenient to Downtown Spokane. The complimentary breakfast at Rosie's was very good.
- 4/5
Close walk to downtown. Location was a plus
- 5/5
I needed an affordable room to stay in for a college trip. Steam Plant Hotel was a good choice for us. It was cold outside but nice and warm in the shower and room. The rooms were insulated so you had privacy. Thank you for a great stay here. I felt safe here. I would stay again if i came back to Spokane.
- 5/5
Amazing staff.
- 3/5
Loud, rude customers, dated, gym is a joke, however, location is outstanding!
- 2/5
I mean it was fine, but the bed was incredibly uncomfortable without a box spring, the pictures made the place seem more cozy and much bigger especially for the price. It was sketchy with the amount of people trying to camp near the building and shouting because of the drug usage in the area.
- 4/5
Basic hotel; good price; nice & helpful staff
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Nothing fancy but always clean
- 3/5
Rooms are fine, bathrooms updated. It’s a mid rate, but clean facility. Can’t get away from the train noise, although they do have earplugs available in the room. Not in a great area, lots of homeless around but the motel/parking lot have many security cameras. Nice coffee area behind the office. Within walking distance to some nice restaurants.
- 3/5
Had much higher expectations from the pictures. The room was musty smelling and the walls are very thin. Probably won’t stay there again. Hotel refused to upgrade us even though they had another room
- 4/5
This is like a classic roadside motel, except slightly glammed up and dropped in the heart of the city. The pros were the friendly and proactive staff, the comfy bed, the toiletries (I am obsessed with their bar soap and lotion), and an actual Keurig in the room. And of course the location is excellent if you want to be near everything downtown. It's admittedly adjacent to the not-so-nice part of downtown (south of the train tracks), but it feels safe enough and removed from the worst pockets of disorder. My only complaints are a few minor things like the shower head constantly dripped, the wifi was on the weaker side, and the curtains were a little too short. As for the freight train viaduct, I personally liked the sound of trains moving all day and night -- I find it kind of soothing, but others might not. Anyway, overall this was a very positive experience and I would 100% stay again.
- 4/5
Room cleam , bed ok.
- 3/5
The room had a strange odor to it but it was good for a one night stay and it was in walking distance to the knitting factory. Room was clean and had a nice shower. Heard some screaming and fighting during the morning.
- 4/5
Clean and conveint
- 5/5
The room was great. A new girl was training at the front desk, but she was very professional and was doing a great job.
- 5/5
Very clean room. Nice area. Close to lots of things to do. Free breakfast at the diner was amazing!!! Will stay here again
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable, affordable, and conveniently located hotel with extremely friendly staff. Walkable to many amenities. My only complaint is that the only functioning power outlet was in the bathroom.
- 1/5
Unbearable Train noise. We can’t sleep. The hotel is very close to the train track.
- 4/5
A few things about our stay were a surprise. - In spite of "Hotel" in the name, this is motel-style lodging, with no interior hallways; all rooms are accessed from exterior doors. - Free Breakfast: This is not on site, but at a restaurant a couple short blocks away. Free breakfast is limited to 2 guests per room, per day. - Fitness Facility: This is also not on site, but guests have access at a different hotel a couple of blocks away. - Nearby train tracks: these have frequent trains but the noise was not bad inside the room. The hotel provides earplugs, but we didn't need them. - Vintage cartoons projected on the wall of the building in the evenings provided a touch of fun. (There was no sound, so this was not a disturbance).
- 3/5
The rooms are very outdated. Everything's worn vent tore up. Reminded me of a motel. 6. Very cheap. Beds are uncomfortable not to mention the noise from the train and they ask you to ask them to clean your room and you do and they don't clean it. It happens all Ruby properties cuz I stayed at Ruby River and the same thing happened twice as much per night per room too. Staff was friendly but it doesn't make up for everything else. Not to mention it's downtown very shady lot of homeless
- 5/5
Front desk attendant was nice, clean room and great location for going to a show at the knit!
- 5/5
Wonderful customer service as well as a clean comfortable bed. Located within walking distance of multiple food options.
- 1/5
Really nice staff I mean really nice but the hotel was in a scary area and a little run down beds are rock hard no soap or shampoo in the shower they where empty no one was at the front desk when we went to check-in and we had to wait for somebody to come over train noise and walls paper thin hearing people talk all night it got the job done for the price but would never stay again
- 4/5
Room was clean and nice bathroom. Front desk was very helpful
- 3/5
Not the friendliest staff that's for sure
- 5/5
The room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and the price was reasonable. I would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Simple but clean room, great location, free breakfast at a local diner
- 5/5
Clean room, good staff. Great place for a cheap stay. Only downside was parking was a nightmare!
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Great place for am overnight stay - Riverfront Park and restaurants are walkable. Very secure parking and friendly staff
- 5/5
staff was very kind, Jade was very accommodating to my disabilities when checking in.
- 5/5
Steam Plant Hotel offered an abundent of opportunities to explore the locations in downtown Spokane. The hotel is clean, cozy, and easily accessed. Our room was warm (great for winter!), comfortable, and well stocked with essentials. Check in and check out were simple and friendly-great staff! Partner dinning options were great! Ate dinner at the Steam Plant Bar and breakfast (included!) at Rosie's, both were fabulous! Downtown offers very walkable locations to explore, the riverfront was beautiful!
- 4/5
Easy check on. Clean room. Free breakfast was nice.
- 5/5
Steam plant is always a good stay. Close proximity to everything DT plane has to offer. Parking directly in front of rooms. Great breakfast and nice front desk staff. Great deal for the price.
- 4/5
The staff was great, and the location was excellent. However, I had one suggestion. Since we stayed for four nights, it would have been appreciated if the room had been cleaned at least once every two nights..
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
Perfect location. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Yes. All of it
- 4/5
Itbwas great
- 2/5
Room was clean, but front desk staff was not professional, very loud location next to a train track and homeless encampment. I wouldn’t put this in the family friendly category.
- 5/5
The staff were courteous, willing to answer all the questions I had while checking in and even made sure to get me a room in my preferred area. Was also able to get my keycard recoded in the morning after it stopped working.
- 2/5
The bed base protrudes out of the mattress and we often got hurt walking around the room. Consider putting pillow or something around bed corner as soon as you get in room
- 5/5
Staff are very nice.
- 5/5
Work trip
- 2/5
Weird smell
- 5/5
Super friendly, had a great time
- 5/5
We stay at the Steam Plant Hotel quite often when we visit Spokane. Each time the staff are so great and helpful!
- 4/5
Good place to stay in downtown
- 2/5
The room was not as advertised- the reality was a cheap version of the pictures shown. It was loud, the pillows had cases but not covers, and the mattress cover was stained. The location is great. We packed up our things and left, walking a couple blocks down to a different hotel at 8:30 at night.
- 4/5
Very minimal room. Clean but very noisy. Comfortable, and clean . Price was grest for the location.
- 5/5
We stayed 2 nights. Have stayed before. Always have been good.
- 2/5
Not in an area where we felt safe
- 4/5
Breakfast at Rosie's diner
- 5/5
Room was clean
- 4/5
Staff was amaze. Weird odor in room. Went away when heater was turned on. It's on the edge of a sketchy part of town. Great for where it is.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was nice and friendly.
- 5/5
The room was nice and clean
- 3/5
Room smelled a bit like wet dog when we arrived. Location downtown was nice and they have some discounts for nearby restaurants which was a nice perk. Overall an okay overnight stay
- 5/5
The staff were very nice and super helpful! The room was very clean and the free breakfast was great. The only negative was the area didn’t feel super safe at night.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Room looked nice but I tripped in the parking lot and spent two nights in the hospital instead of the hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was great, parking was easy and there was a movie playing outside
- 2/5
Trains going by kwpt me awake all night
- 5/5
Clean room great front desk staff
- 4/5
Stay was good.
- 5/5
The only downside was the homeless population and the constant train schedules that go right behind the hotel
- 5/5
The room was small but great for an overnight stay with my dog. It was surprisingly quiet for the location, there is on site parking as well.
- 3/5
Very loud trains going by day and night 24/7 right next to the hotel. When you walk in your room they have ear plugs on the counter. Room was clean beds were ok. We did not try the breakfast did not realize it was off site and it stopped at 10am. The shower water was hot but had NO water pressure when you had the hot water on only cold had pressure.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, and great value. Area is easily walkable with good food and coffee nearby
- 5/5
The staff was excellent, and the facilities and room were clean and included a fridge/microwave/coffee machine. The lotion provided felt like it dried me out rather than moisturized if that's something you care about.
- 3/5
Overall was a decent hotel but the area was not very good. Lots of unhoused folks and substance use.
- 4/5
It served it purpose
- 3/5
Room smelled like mold and musky
- 5/5
I love the breakfast
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff. Location is great, a bit loud at night. We'll stay again.
- 5/5
Perfect for one night. Shower was nice.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good but a couple blocks away at a different building. Internet didn’t work at all. I am frustrated that we were told we needed a $5 parking pass but were not told that it was $5 PER DAY as well as a $3 a day service charge. They were not big charges but still annoying to find out about AFTER your visit. If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend this hotel. The walls are PAPER thin I could hear everything our neighbors were doing. Also felt a little unsafe with all the homeless people camping in the surrounding area but that isn’t the hotels fault.
- 3/5
The hotel was very bare-bones - an upgrade to the linens and pillows would make it feel much more valuable for the price. Lots of extra fees - parking fee, pet fee, multiple charges for service fees, room fees, extra taxes. I'd rather pay more for the room base price without all the surprise fees upon checkout. No housekeeping/do-not-disturb options. All of the rooms are outdoor/accessible from the street/parking lot. We stayed on the first floow and had people congregating outside well after quiet hours. Jade at the front desk was very knowledgeable and capable and the coffee lounge was relaxing and quality.
- 4/5
Nice stay, close to amenities! A bit loud at night, but ok when using the supplied earplugs! Great place for walking around downtown.
- 4/5
We love staying in funky little hotels, and this one fit the bill! The renovated bathroom was spacious, there was an elevator, and the staff was friendly. Loved the cartoons they showed on a wall at night, plus all the murals painted around. Knowing that trains rumble past, they thoughtfully supplied earplugs. Breakfast was at a restaurant a couple of blocks away, but that got us moving in the morning. I'd stay here again.
- 3/5
I loved the staff!! very kind and very helpful. Shannon was amazing!! Breakfast (it was not the best). Regardless, I would stay there again.
- 3/5
I dont want to be too hard on this place, as it was pretty clean and it was a good location. The photos are quite misleading and it is a notel not a hotel. The reason i chose it was it was a little cheaper than the davenport, it was a little closer to to the venue i was attending and the photos gave it a cool vibe. In the end for money spent, i wish i had gone the route of the other hotel, especially since it was only $15 more the day i was looking. I am ok with a motel, but, when misleading the customer, it is a rad disappointing. Room was ok. Door was tight. So im sure i pissed off neighbours when opening and closing, which took force. Decent place, but hope this helps everyone makingvan informed decision...
- 3/5
There was hair in the shower when we checked in and the location was very solidly okay. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a budget stay though! Also, for being directly next to the train tracks, it wasn’t all that bad. We did have to put a towel at the base of the room door which helped with noise quite a bit. They provide ear plugs if you need those.
- 5/5
Everything was just right. I really love this place.
- 2/5
the wifi is not good and the hotel is loud.
- 5/5
The morning staff was amazing. The room was adequate for what it was, but definitely could have been cleaner. Luckily the woman working the morning counter was amazing, and helped me cancel a night that I had accidentally booked through Hotels.com. She was super helpful, and I would recommend this place on her customer service alone.
- 4/5
Great stay
- 5/5
staff was super nice and friendly
- 3/5
The room smells moldy
- 1/5
Room was pretty clean but not serviced at all during our 3 day stay. The noise from the train traffic was annoying all night long but fighting in the parking lot with hours of cursing and then partiers in the parking lot the next night was over the top for noise. The desk clerk said there was patrolling going on but no one seemed to want to make any of it stop. We had 3 nights of almost no sleep.
- 3/5
The room seemed clean and nice but was VERY stuffy, the window would not open and the train was loud.
- 5/5
There are train tracks right next to the hotel and it is LOUD. They provide you with foam ear plugs, but the noise is distracting. Trains rolled by starting at 7am on Sunday and kept going past 10pm. If you’re a light sleeper, this location might not be for you. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable and the location to downtown is great otherwise.
- 2/5
Needs new carpet or carpet cleaning. No soap next to sink. Train kept me awake.
- 2/5
Very disappointing.
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful. The room was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Nice place and train passing by wasnt as loud as expected
- 3/5
I was surprised at how sketchy this part of town was, lots of questionable activity in the parking lot outside of room from non-guests. Our room had hair on the floor when we checked in and the place was generally run down.
- 4/5
Awesome spot downtown. It felt dangerous. Great staff. Breakfast was memorable. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Only place I’ll stay in Spokane. Best location ever affordable and clean what else do you need? Highly recommended!
- 5/5
rosie breakfast ws very good
- 3/5
I truly question the reviews of this hotel and believe they should be evaluated for fake listings. This is not a hotel - it is a motel; the beds were hard; there are ear plugs (fluorescent yellow commercial al grade) provided n each room because of the noise and the trains. The breakfast is actually at a restaurant down the street and the pix are very deceiving. The number of 10/10 reviews is definitely suspect and, again, leads me t believe these are fraudulent reviews. If this were ranked a 1 star motel then maybe the ey could be accurate but certainly not indicative of a 3 star business.
- 5/5
Check in agent was excellent
- 4/5
Fun staying in a small place downtown. Really appreciated the generous breakfast arrangement.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
The person who checked us in was extremely kind and informative.
- 5/5
Nice, tasty breakfast option included. Great!
- 4/5
Was close to the wedding we were at.
- 5/5
Though this time our room had a little bit of a funky smell and did not feel as clean as usual.
- 1/5
The rooms were ok but there was a terrible old musty smell. The tv was huge but the screen glowed all night. I had to pay $8 for parking as well. The breakfast however was very good
- 5/5
Flew into Spokane to start a two week road trip with my dog and the steam plant hotel was playing the jetsons on the walk outside. So cool. Also the staff was amazing. Great stay.
- 5/5
Nice clean room
- 5/5
Perfect stay for our friends 60th!
- 3/5
The hotel was ok but homeless is bad in the area, the parking is so inconvenient but you got to love the sign that says park at your own risk, restaurants are out of the way so you have to walk through homeless people that are around to get to the restaurants. Just in all it is up to you if you stay or don’t but it did the job but left as quick as possible in the morning.
- 4/5
Staff was super nice and professional. Breakfast included in our stay at Rosie's was top-notch. Room did have a little bit of a weird smell and some of the towels were stained (from what looked like makeup). But overall, would recommend for the price.
- 5/5
Jade was wonderful!!
- 4/5
Needed a hotel in downtown Spokane just for a night. This one fit the bill for price and location! Super nice and helpful staff, close to great restaurants, walkable and easy free parking. The hotel is right next to the train tracks which might bother some people, didn't bother me, but they do provide earplugs. Will stay here again!
- 3/5
The breakfast was great and is included with a nice 2 block walk to get it. The parking is rough if your car is low but other than that, the overall price and accommodations it was a lovely place.
- 3/5
Disappointed- room was dated and property was in a lousy neighborhood.
- 5/5
We are frequent flyers at the steam plant and will always stay there when we have to go to Spokane
- 5/5
Terrific hotel downtown great staff definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Very nice staff at the desk.
- 4/5
Had to walk to breakfast
- 1/5
I had gone in to see if there was a place to change into clothes for a wedding. After being treated rudely, my wife called Expedia by phone. Expedia could not get through to the front desk. Later the hotel lied and said that I tried to check in at 1030. My flight didn't land till 1100. I would not recommend this place in any way, shape or form!
- 5/5
I always enjoy staying there, but I really wish the outside walkways were vacuumed or swept off. It really looks dirty.
- 5/5
I would definitely stay here again. The free breakfast was excellent. Customer check in was great and easy. Located in a well diverse area. I got the single queen room. Bed fridge microwave Abe a bathroom. But everything else about the property made up for the lack of extent in the room. I’d definitely stay again as my preferred place to stay
- 1/5
The property did not match photos shown by Expedia - location was in a very questionable area, room was not in good condition - stains on carpet, bed haphazardly made, furniture chipped and battered - condition was so poor that we did not stay even one night of our 4-night booking and found lodging elsewhere. The staff, however, was very helpful and courteous.
- 5/5
Only place i stay in Spokane. Everything’s so close. Great price, clean and quiet. Main things I look for in accommodations. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Beautiful property, wonderful staff, will be back! :)
- 5/5
Train was loud

Very cool

I enjoyed my visit, but it really would be nice if they would vacuum the carpet on the outside every day it shows dirt and really looks unclaimed

Excellent service.

Good stay for hookers

The breakfast at Roses cafe was very good

The owner clearly makes a lot of effort to make this a positive experience. Our stay was a treat and we extended the stay. Thank you

Older hotel but clean and comfortable.
- 2/5
Room dirty. Pictures online were deceiving. Room equipped except for a bed no sitting area. Shower was awkward - no way to turn on without getting a blast of cold water. To get ice had to walk entire length of hotel get on old dirty elevator and go to basement. Not safe for women traveling alone. Front desk had two kind young women who were helpful older woman was rude and insulting. Did not continue reservation - did reimburse which was helpful.

Based on other reviews I chose to stay here. Never again. Not clean at all. Bathroom shower had several different colors of hair left behind. Dirty floor. Bathroom door was frayed, paint coming off at the bottom and appeared to have been previously repaired with brown glue. Walkways outside very dirty with spilled substances. Cut my stay short rather than spend another night there.

Great and smooth check in. The one that checked me in was attentive and helpful!

This is not a hotel, it is a re-purposed motel. Parking options are good, close to riverfront activities. Rooms and amenities are super basic. Friendly front desk staff. Bed was comfortable.

The location is great and easy walking to spots around downtown Spokane. The room is basic but mostly clean (nice bathroom and clean, comfy bed!) but our carpet had a couple large, slightly sticky stains. Also, it should be said that this is a motel (not a hotel), which is not a problem for us but could be for some. The train also goes right by the motel all night. They provide ear plugs, which is great, but if you're a light sleeper something to keep in mind. Breakfast at Ruby's was convenient and made the room a good value.

The property was great, just lots of homeless around on the street

Great spot!

It was nice

Very loud Pictures on the website do not match the actual hotel- they match the sister hotel

Room was clean and good condition for an older motel

Great location and value. Friendly staff!

Couldn’t ask for a better group of people or a better place to stay

Good value for the price.

Our room smelled like mold and the deadbolt was broken so we couldn’t lock the door. The hallways and parking areas were filthy. There was no grass to air our dogs even though they said they were “dog friendly”. We had to walk 2 blocks away to find a 6X 6 patch of grass at another business. There were people in the streets doing drugs and other illicit things. This was an unsafe and horrible area and hotel. We left and have not been able to get a refund from the manager even though they didn’t even have another room to move us to. DON’T BOOK THIS HOTEL!! It was the worst hotel situation we’ve ever been in.

No go

This was the best hotel we stayed at in a long time. Loved everything about it.
- 3/5
Room was clean and check in was easy. The room did smell of smoke which was unfortunate. The breakfast is a voucher for 2 at a diner a block away.
- 5/5
This day was nice. The only recommendation I could make is that they vacuum the carpet on the outside every day and in the elevator, it would make it look so much better.
- 5/5
Great value for the location
- 5/5
Awesome updated vintage hotel. Great customer service. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was a 3 minute walk to a restaurant at their sister property (The Ruby).
- 1/5
Do not stay here. It’s in the middle of all of the homeless people and drug users in Spokane. Also, it is not a hotel, it’s a “motel” where your front door is facing the street. Not dog friendly at all either, there is no grass whatsoever on property, you have to walk two blocks away to a patch of grass that is very small and full of cigarette butts and needles. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Great stay! Clean rooms, wonderful location, easy parking and great+affordable dining options!

We got into town very late and headed right to the hotel. The check in was super fast and easy. They had an elevator with easy access and the area was clean well lit. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was at Rosie’s a restaurant across the street and about a block up. You could choose what you wanted from a special menu or apply it towards a different item and pay the difference. The food was good and coffee was great. Will definitely return to both the hotel and the restaurant and will recommend them to others.

Trains 50 feet away day and night, Harley’s echoing off the prison-like courtyard walls, housekeeping unconcerned about a 12 night resident’s needs and black mold in the shower. Awful!
- 4/5
A real shower, not a tub with a curtain. Great pressure. You can hear the trains but they won't wake you up. You can't open the windows so you have to open your door if you don't want to feel cooped up. The air conditioner blows right on you and is noisy. The downtown bus plaza is a 4 1/2 minute walk away. The WiFi was glitchy and I had to use mobile a lot which cost me money.

I will stay again best deal nice n clean and free FULL REAL BREAKFAST at Rosie’s 1 block away included! Awesome deal

Would stay here again
- 2/5
Our room was dirty, they give us another…but..
- 5/5
It's right next to the train tracks. There are too many bars close by so you get loud drunk people walking back to there rooms.
- 4/5
The hotel is great and good downtown location and we would like to point out we felt safe in the hotel but around the area is a huge homeless and drug problem. As a couple we felt ok but my wife on her own would not stay here (or in this area) and anyone with young children please be mindful they’ll see some things that may frighten them. This is something completely out of control of the hotel but unfortunately must affect them. The noise from the trains may bother some people but you have ear plugs in your room so use them. Great hotel not a great area
- 4/5
The complimentary breakfast was great and just a short walk away. The folks at the breakfast spot were SO nice, courteous and helpful.
- 5/5
Awesome staff. Central location.
- 4/5
Everything was great. Unique little, motel type hotel with character. Only complaint would be no instructions on the coffee maker. Husband made a big coffee mess because he put in too much water. Just be aware.
- 3/5
All very average. Surprised by $5 parking fee. When we booked it was not listed.
- 5/5
Quick check in and clean room for an overnight stay.
- 4/5
A little noisy. Bikers arriving in early hours (2am)

Friendly service, clean, little noisy by train yet overall awesome value
