Motel 6 Spokane, WA - East

I’m guessing this hotel is a high traffic spot for prostitution and drug dealing. We checked in around 2:30 and left by 7:00ish. That was when people started hanging outside in the front, hallways got busy and what sounded like German Shepard began barking in the room next to us. Never experienced anything like this before.

It was clean, the bed was decent, The AC worked great, the staff were friendly and helpful (I am mobility challenged), No weird smells. There was a dog in a car barking at midnight, that stopped quickly. Not the hotels fault.

ROOM WAS CLEAN, STAFF WAS GREAT, LAUNDRY IS SPENDY.

It was very clean. Very quite. Extremely friendly staff. Very accommodating house cleaning staff. Parking very convenient. Definitely would stay here again.

The hotel was a dumb. The room was very clean though. Stayed one night and decided to stay someplace else instead

Honestly you’ll probably be better off staying in your car. Some of the doors had questionable (bodily fluids?) liquids on them, some doors were broken where it looked like an officer kicked open the door. There’s no shampoo or anything besides towels to take a shower. The mattress and pillows were so flat it felt like sleeping in cardboard. And to top it off, some random guy started banging on our door after 9pm and wasn’t even sorry about waking the kids

It was a decent stay.

We didn’t have any thing but soap in the bathroom, so no shampoo or conditioner. They’re almost sparse but clean. The TV was awesome. Wished for a tea pot or a coffee machine downstairs but not to be had.

We made reservations for a Thursday-Friday but it was to be a Wed instead. It took 90+ minutes standing in the parking lot waiting for the powers at be Hotel.com to square it away with the motel. Then another half hour for the staff member to work on his end to get us a room. At which point we both were not happy. He at one point threw a note pad down enough to make a point to me. At that point his lack professionalism was showing through as if that was lower than chain smoking outside while assisting me but telling me if I was to pay &15 or 19 extra cash he could get my husband and I a room quicker. Another lady was told the same. Her and I talked to agree that was so not cool. She was the smart one and left. Extraction fans lined lined the halls and forte along with cords. They were tripping hazard. The numerous fans were out to dry the “we don’t have water damage in the hotel”. When clearly they did. There were broken doors that were patched with spray foam. A door frame with black mold as well as other rude and crude stuff splattered on it along with the wall. No geez sorry for the mess or warning how disgusting it was. The fans were loud but it drowned out the barking dogs in many of the rooms. In the morning you could see how extensive the fire damage was from the parking lot.

The the property was very rundown. There was a huge stain on the ceiling in our shower. The mattresses were terrible. There was barely any linen on our beds and no extra blankets. There are people who live at this hotel. Sunday morning the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate because there was a fire. We missed our event because of the fire.It was a horrible stay. I will never stay at a motel six again. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had.

It was convenient About of noise, police on the day of checking in, then woke up at 6 in the morning to a fire and couldn’t go in until almost check out time. 6-9am

Nothing I didn't like that it smelled like weed in the lobby, my room smelled heavily of bleach, the bedsheets were stained and the towels looked like they came from Goodwill.

Great staff and room was very clean

The staff weren't necessarily rude, but certainly didn't go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The security door was unlocked. The hallway had a stench that was horrible. The beds were uncomfortable and they didn't even clean the room or empty the trash during our 2 night stay. The towels could maybe cover the backside of a toddler but certainly not a full grown adult. As we were checking out, the police and crime scene techs were there investigating something that had happened the night before. Save your money and find another hotel.

Room cleanliness, plenty of towels, bed comfortable Few lights that worked. Only a bar of soap for toiletries. No Gideon placed Bible in room. No refrigerator.

Bathroom was dirty, especially the floor around the toilet. Baseboards falling off. Had to tighten the toilet seat so we didn't fall off. Needs a remodel badly

There is a guest laundry that we did not use and the hotel is old, but the room was clean and the staff was amazing. Its a Motel 6, but I would book again for sure. There are lots of places to eat around it. The beds were not that comfortable but the AC worked and it was quiet. The most important part was it was clean. Housekeeping came everyday, yes there are pets.allowed here but everyone picked up after them. It was a good hotel for the price.

We had a horrible experience, there was a domestic dispute that the staff members brushed off and I ended up having to call 911 because of gun threats. We were kept up till 5 in the morning and the “noise violation” they told us was happening ended with 5 people arrested. This motel is not safe, not clean, not prepared, overall terrible experience. I talked to the front desk lady while checking out and asked for a refund, I was denied, brushed off, traumatized, and the best they could do for us was a $10 discount on one night out of two for the whole trip. Room smelled like cigarettes upon arrival, couldn’t even close the window because the smell was so strong. The fridge and microwave have been neglected of cleanliness. I do NOT recommend this motel.

Upon walking into the lobby I was overwhelmed by the smell of Marijuana. The desk cerk was ok did her job and got us key cards. We were on the second floor the first thing I noticed was again the overwhelming smell of Marijuana and cigarettes. Once in the room the smell was much better. Beds looked well made and the sheets were clean but on the end of the tv stand was a lot of white substance my first thought was illicit drugs however it was white paint someone had been very sloppy with and no one had bothered to scrape or clean off. When I went in the bathroom the towel bar was missing and only one of the posts was in the wall and holes were evidence there was once one there. The shower curtain was teatering on falling because the screws were pulling out of the wall and behind the door was more holes where I'm guessing there used to be a towel hook. It got worse when I pulled the curtain back carefully so the rod didn’t fall out of the wall. There was a 4 inch by 8inch orange plastic patch in the middle of the tub and a rusted drain. When I left there were 3 grown men loitering and smoking Marijuana out front and when I returned after getting food I noticed the overwhelming smell in the lobby was the smell of animal urine. After which I saw 2 people walking dogs down the carpented hallway. At about 2am a man screaming and a door being slammed twice woke us. The only redeeming things: clean beds, room didn't smell like everywhere else, great water pressure

Staff was very nice and helpful. Car didn't get any damage in the parking lot. Room was clean and my husband didn't have an allergic reaction to any pets that had been in there. I will say the people staying there may let their pets pee on the side stairs, cause there was a definite oder. otherwise, close to the freeway, walkable if you need it. Very hot water and good pressure!

The parking was easy. The room was fairly clean, cleaner than some of the Motel 6's we have stayed at. The staff was helpful. and the laundry room was clean, and inexpensive.

One of the worst hotel experiences. We stayed two nights Friday night and Saturday night, but we’re told there was no refund available for Saturday night. So without accommodations we had to stay. On Friday there were many people, including the staff that were sitting in the lobby, drinking and being very loud past 11 at night. We asked for extra pillows because the two that we had were very flat we were told that there were no extra pillows in the hotel. We asked the staff not to clean our room. They did anyway, and move stuff in our room. The staff was incredibly unprofessional. There were people trying to train their dogs in the hallway at midnight and people letting their children run up and down the hallway up till 11 we asked for a non-smoking room and it smelled like cigarettes. We travel with two dogs and we like to stay at motel six because they offer pets free of stay. But I would gladly pay the extra for better sleep. I cannot recommend the Spokane Valley Motel six at all.

Omg it was terrible!!! It smelt like cigarettes so bad. There was burn holes all over the blanket and stains EVERYWHERE. I was so scared to sleep there! Someone’s hair in the tub on the pillows, black footprint stains in the tub, the bed didn’t even seem like a queen and there was some type of blood stain on the sheet! There was like a drug deal going on across the hallway and the whole atmosphere was dark and disgusting. Never staying there again. I need a refund ??‍♀️

For the price, I think this was the nicest hotel that I stayed in recently. It was clean and it felt safe. The only issue I ever had was that I did have to remagnetize the card once on a two-night stay.

The bathroom smelt like cigarettes and the air conditioner wasn't working, but overall it was very nice. I had a good time. I highly recommend this motel. Its cheap.

There was no clerk at the front desk when we arrived. We waited 10 minutes or more for a member of the staff to show up. And then our room was not yet ready - at 5 pm. It still had to be cleaned. So we went to our event and came back two hours later. The room had no coffee maker (and neither did the hotel's lobby). The bedspread had a few holes in it. Not the end of the world, but disappointing for the rate I was paying.

I did not have breakfast. There was burn holes in the cover of the bed, the fan in the bathroom did not work properly, the room had a foul odor.

This isn't the fanciest place but the staff is great and for the price, can't really beat in this area. They worked very hard to accommodate us when one of us had limited mobility after a surgery. The staff went above and beyond to get us through a couple tough days

The staff is really good, the room was nice, the location is perfect for what I needed. I always like this motel because even though it's tucked up against the freeway, it's quiet and there is food within walking distance. And the staff is really great, I can't stress that enough.

No rooms on bottom floor

Didn't feel like a safe area. The hallways had an unignorable odor and you could hear every conversation happening in the rooms as you passed the. The actual room was clean and smelled fine. The mattress was very thin. I simply couldn't get the lights to turn off and most of the outlets near the bed didn't work. The staff were kind and did a good job but the place itself didn't do it for me.

Lobby smelled like rotten food and dirty dog. Don’t breathe thru there. Not all rooms have a mini and micro so be sure you check. The room service/cleaning staff are all friendly and helpful and most of the front desk staff are at least tolerant of guests, if not friendly, however there is a gentleman that works mornings who will go out of his way to make your stay as uncomfortable as possible, as well as a girl named Heather who is rude, short, and suffers from a superiority complex. The vending machines are usually well stocked and there’s is a laundry room about half the time. No room coffee and despite being told there’s coffee in lobby, usually there isn’t any. Overall, if you are looking for a mind your business and get some rest motel, this is great, but not for an extended stay.

The staff was helpful and the room was tidy and clean. The motel was very pet friendly No chair to sit on. The cable for the tv had a weak connection and the tv often didn’t work. The bed was too small. The motel was close to train tracks and my room was often loud.

Staff was kind but that’s where it ended. Room smelt as if someone left Chinese fried rice and they didn’t clean the room for a week. It was awful. Also, the floors were filthy. Had some fluid spattered everywhere. Half the lights didn’t work in the room. Everything was dusty with other people’s hair everywhere. It was just gross. I’ve stayed at a lot of Motel 6 across the US but this was by far the worst one.

Someone was trying to get into my room and there were multiple times someone was looking in my door while with a blue flashlight..i was there a total of maybe 30 minutes..cameras can provide proof

The staff was the best part, they were super polite and helpful! The rooms could be cleaner and I dont like that in order to have a microwave and fridge you have to get a deluxe room. There arent any deluxe rooms that could be booked for the entire two weeks, that was unfortunate.

For what it is, a very inexpensive place, it wasn’t too bad. Certainly worth the money. The guy at the front desk was super friendly.

I only stayed because it was pet friendly. There were a couple of inoperable vehicles in the parking lot. There was a lot of noise from adjoining room and hallway. I needed assistance to get the door to open, the handle was malfunctioning. I will not stay there again.

The hallway corridor stank pretty bad. Like wet dog mixed with old takeout, but the room smelled fresh. The beds are older and my back ached in the morning. But overall was very clean. They allow pets which is nice, but my neighbors had two Huskies who started howling at 5:30 in the morning. They gave the standard sliver of soap but no shampoo. Luckily I had my own sample in my bag.

Advertise a pool booked it for my kids and my family for the pool and the pool is very well out of order and it does not work. It is not clean. Very upset with booking this for the advertise pool that is not even functionable or usable. When we only booked it for the pool

Room had a broken window, first floor front desk staff asked me if I wanted the tools to fix it myself. What a joke. We canceled the room and was suppose to get a refund, and we never did. Do not be fooled by the fake reviews and the generic photos of the lobby. This place is bad, bad.

Liked there was no pet fee Also they called and let me know I left my pillow. Its a special back and neck pillow pretty expensive and I need it for my neck and back.

There was FECES on rhe sheets when I turned down the bed, and the toilet seat also had excrement on it!!! Will NEVER book a room here again!!

So it was a little dirty.... It was good until it wasn't. I'd stay again because they allow cats however, I'd bring my own bedding, and a gallon of bleach. For real. Staff was sweet as pie. Just an old rundown place. It's more the location than the dirty. Hard to stay clean when the people staying are the ones making it filthy.

My mattress was very uneven. One of my pillowcases looked like it had mascara on it and the hallway outside my door did not look vacuumed. Lots of debris right outside my door. The staff was very cordial.

The stairs up to the 2nd floor was not vacuum and had a lot of either dog or cat hair. No toliet sets cover- things can fall in so close to the sink. The bed cover had a few stain. There was a light switch at the door- no light in the ceiling

My only negative was there was no refrigerator in the room.

When I showed up and they scanned my ID, their system said I was on a Do Not Rent list. Mind you, the name of the person that showed up as DNR has a different name than me and lives in a different state. Didn't seem to matter to them at the desk. I ended up having to rent a different room at $50 more for the night. Terrible.

Another issue I had was with the reservation. When I made the reservation I noted that it would be a late check in. At around 8:00PM I receved a call asking if I was still going to be checking in. I informed them that I had requested a late check in and was told there were no notes stating that. I informed them that I would be checking in but it wouldn't be until midnight or later and that they had my card number to gurantee. At about 10:00pm I received another phone call asking if I was still going to be checking in. I informed them of the late check in and was again told that there were no notes on the account stating that. I asked that they put a note in as I was very busy and didn't want any more phone calls about this issue. At about 11:45PM I receive another phone call asking if I was still going to be checking in. I went over the late check in again and was again told that there were no notes on the account stating that. After the second call I specifically asked for the account to be noted and to have no more phone calls about it and was still called again.

The hotel was sufficient in terms of expectations. I liked that this Motel 6 had rooms that did not face outside. However, the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke and/or weed was overwhelming and pervasive in our room. The bedspreads had burn holes and stains, but seemed to be clean. Our bougie kids were not happy, though, and the price was well above what you would expect to pay thanks to Hoop Fest. Next year I will book early somewhere else for Hoop Fest.

Check in and check out was sooth, key lard stopped working at point but they were fast and efficient at fixking it.

The staff has been great and wonderfully accommodating in regards to our cats and dog.

Everyone is helpful and friendly. The hotel grounds are full of green grass and big beautiful trees that smell amazing, and the other guests have All been friendly too. It’s lovely to sit outside in the shade and enjoy the summer days.

The staff is amazingly friendly and always helpful. They’ve gone out of their way to make my daughter, our pets and I to feel welcome during our extended stay.

The bed was so extremely not comfortable it was really hard to get sleep. The AC unit turns off and on all night which would wake us up every time.

I stayed for 10 days. Barely got the room cleaned couple of times. They didn’t changed the sheets even once! Dogs barking and other guest screaming in the hallway all night. Room supposed to have microwave and fridge… good luck. Laundry out of service the entire time.

I like the cheap laundry services. Candy machine ate my money and I never got my 2 bucks back no biggie but inconvenient that I could not get reimbursed for my loss on site. Had towai5 for company to come back during the week to collect the money or reup the food in the machines.

This motel is about as basic as it can be. No minifrig, no microwave, no coffee maker. Small room, small bed. The rear entrance door does not lock, so no security against random people coming in off the street. Two different folks were rebuilding old cars in the parking lot. Parts and tools scattered about.

depending on whos working the experience is better, over all my experience was very pleasent , alot of homeless people hang out there hoping to get dates or other strange things but its nothing to worry about

I found five cockroaches in my room the first four I ignored at the fifth one I went to the front desk to tell the guy he was very rude and said the boss would be in at 10:30 and he came he was super rude also told me he would reimburse my money through Expedia which I have not heard anything of it since

It's one of the nicest Motel 6's I've stayed at. My expectation is a clean room, clean bed, hot shower and safe place to park. They met all of them. In addition my room was serviced with fresh towels and bed made, there was complimentary hot coffee in the lobby in the morning and all the staff was very friendly.

If you happen to be near Hermiston ORegon stay at OYO Hotel looks cheap but its plush 10x better than this motel 6 For half the price! COMFORTBLE BEDS and ALL amenities.

The refrigerator turned out to be a freezer as contents were all frozen solid. Had to microwave milk for example which was solid ice.

It was a no frills room; no coffee pot, no fridge, no hair dryer, no breakfast in the lobby, just coffee. But the room was clean and comfortable.

Perplexing they don’t improve the property on all levels and raise rates. Lighting poor(hides unclean areas), dated to the point ugly, limited staff(1 person/1maid!). People smoking in rooms-you could smell the smoke. No locks on exterior doors-ANYONE could walk in building. This is just a well below average. We didn’t expect much, but it still disappointed. Negative energy throughout buildings. The solo front guy did his best.

The price was good and reasonable. The room was supposedly a queen size bed but it wasn't. It was a full size bed. The bathroom toilet didn't drain. The bathroom fan was broken. The room smelled like smoke. The staff were friendly and nice. I got in at 130 am and didn't the energy to go and request a different room. The parking lot had a lot of cars that people were living out of and random people looking in others cars. Didn't feel safe. The following morning I checked out and into different hotel. I just didn't want to deal with the hassle of everything.
