It was clean and convenient

Nice property with easy access to the downtown area. Very much like other Courtyard by Marriott properties, although we were disappointed that the on-site dining was so limited.

Stayed to go to concert at Gesa Pavilion. Was a nice little walk, close to lots of things. We enjoyed. Our room was a little loud because we were next to the stairs but wasn’t too bad.

Great staff, great room size, nice and comfortable. Noise. The guest upstairs was very loud and yelling during the night and it was uncontrolled. My husband was awakened and we both had the Bloomsday Run the next day. And, the children were upset there wasn't a pool to swim in. Overall, it was great for the price offered through Booking.com.

Rooms were clean. The staff there is always pleasant. I’ve stayed there a couple times before and plan to stay there again in about a month.

Great service, friendly staff, convenient restaurant which made me a superb sandwich and serves Starbucks coffee. The room was very clean and quiet and I slept great in the bed. I'd stay here again without question. Just outside was the river trail with great river scenery, and a quarter mile or so to Riverfront Park and downtown. Also, the parking was generous and well lit.

Our stay here was fantastic, friendly and helpful staff. Bistro Cafe was excellent and many choices to choose from, however was a tad pricey. Would definitely stay here again in the future. The waterfront access to the surrounding river and nature areas was a wonderful addition to our stay!

The room is very noisy, the bed is not comfortable. The food was good. There is not enough parking for everyone and I am handicap, so it was an issue. I have stayed at better Marriott hotels and will not return to this one.

Right next to river, had a bar and food menu, room very clean and comfortable. Very accommodating as they provided a shower chair which was immensely appreciated. While the breakfast was not free their limited options had a very good and interesting variety. We really liked that! Staff was great. Not happy about having to pay for parking.

Rooms were clean and updated, beds were comfortable. Took awhile to get warm water running in the sink/shower. Also a personal preference would have been a tub/shower combo as we were travelling with a toddler.

Location I booked a room for 3 adults. I had the option to pay 20.00 extra to have Breakfast included. When I got to the hotel I was told that the Breakfast was only for 2 of the 3 people. There was nothing online or in the paper work to suggest that the up grade was only for 2 of us. Now I have an additional 18.00 charge to my credit card.

Although the room did come with some free M&M’s left over. So had an option for an evening snack on floor candy. I think that almost makes up for the lack of lobby coffee and breakfast. I think

It was a great room, great view and shower. Didn’t really appreciate the 9am knock on the door that woke us up, when the check out time is noon.

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for our trip. It was VERY close to our event so it was convenient. The ice machine was 2 floors down and in a different wing, which made it difficult to find. Also, we found a pill on the floor so I wondered if the floor had been vacuumed.

Easy check in

Should have been included, will not return. Staff refused to upgrade our room. I was willing to pay for a suite. They said because of the way I booked I was unable. Even after the manager checked our Marriott status.

Very convenient and close to Spokane convention center that we could walk. The centennial trail and Spokane river are right behind and you can walk to the river front as well.

We loved our room and its quiet seclusion. Especially was the fun to have Starbucks in the kiddy and the excellent food do the Bistro restaurant. That food was top notch!!

Conveniently located to downtown but quieter than hotels on Riverfront. Fabulous staff from housekeeping to front desk.

I have stayed multiple times at this facility. Pre and post their remodel earlier this year. It has always been a pleasant and relaxing stay and would recommend staying with them if your travels bring you to Spokane.

The room was spotless clean! It was beautiful and perfect, just exactly as the picture showed. I am very happy that I chose Courtyard By Marriott at the Convention center. It was definitely a lovely stay! The gym is absolutely beautiful! The outside area at the center of the hotel is also beautiful. They have fire pits to stay warm in the cold and creates a lovely fall/winter vibe. I really enjoyed the bistro cafe that's inside the hotel! Makes eating much easier. You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner without leaving the hotel! Excellent service! I was satisfied with my stay and I will definitely come back again!

I was able to walk to the convention center, and the Centennial Trail was amazing. The staff were so accommodating especially Janine at the front desk.

Welcoming front staff

The staff were very attentive and nice. Greeted with great smile and provided ways of making your stay relaxing. Overall the hotel is a 4.8. Clean a little better around the edges of the shower and definitely the place to stay in Spokane.

The Suite was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and Friendly. Breakfast service was delicious with many items to choose from.

The shower was not in great shape. Towels seemed very old and thin. WiFi kept cutting out. There was signs to an ice machine, but never found it.

We were there for one night just passing thru on a cross country road trip. We were late arriving, but the staff was very nice and accommodating.

Very nice place. Bed very comfortable. Soft posh carpet looked new. Grounds are beautiful, close to the river, lots of trees and shade.

The facility had been newly renovated just a few months before. Everything was beautiful and fresh. Special call-outs for: * Janine and Jon at the front desk: They were cheerful and fun to talk to. * Eric and Sherry at the Starbucks: Offered suggestion on alternatives because my wife is doing Keto. * Pablo of the maintenance staff: He greeted us with a cheerful "hello", then waved at the baby at the table next to ours. I would be happy to stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful recently renewed property, everything was clean and fresh - the only complaint was that the water never got actually hot - just stayed tepid no matter what time of day you tried to take a shower.

Great place to stay. No pool or Jacuzzi though.

It was a great stay. My husband and I took a long walk by the river and over to Gonzaga University. It was very beautiful and took us less than 15 minutes to get to campus from the hotel. Our stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed the Starbucks coffee choices in the morning.

There are renovations in progress, and the property remains accommodating, safe, and comfortable. The staff at check-in was extremely positive and helpful.

Location was great. They had construction going on at the time or our stay and that was not great. Very loud and dirty around our room.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Courtyard. The on-site bistro was especially a blessing as I was ill and having ready access to food and water without traveling or ordering in was wonderful.

It was conveniently located and it had a quiet setting very near city activities.

It was underwhelming for the price but clean and we liked our view.

The property is under pretty heavy construction. I booked a king sweet with a hide a bed but got a standard room with no couch and the bathroom door slammed shut after I stepped out and locked so I had to call down to have them unlock it. Definitely not worth what they are charging.

The AC systems are to load and I woke up twice in the middle of the night.. staff is great .. room was fine but to noisy

Disappointing that a hotel under renovation would not inform guests prior to their arrival. Had we known the pool would be closed we wouldn’t have booked in with an entire hockey team. There was no mention of a renovation or closures at any time.

Facilities (pool, rec area);unavailable due to renovations; but no mention of this when we made our reservation…we got a notice after the reservation was made. There should be a discount because of limited facilities available at this time.

Our bathroom was really dusty, didn’t look like the tub and shower curtain had been cleaned..even a hair on the shower wall when we got there.

We travel to downtown Spokane a lot and this is our go-to stay. It's close to events, quiet, and there aren't all the hidden fees that get added if we stay at the davenport or the like. So this stay, even though it was slightly more expensive then nearby hotels, we chose the courtyard. But were not informed upon purchase that they were under construction until May. So we were woken up early Sunday, after a night out on the town, to construction noise. I've never stayed at a hotel under construction without notice and discount. Then we were charged $10.90 a day for parking (so $21.80 total to be parked there for less then 24 hours) they didn't used to charge for parking so I was surprised. Usually a hotel charges per night stay not per day, which seems more reasonable. So overall I was very disappointed. They are also getting rid of the hot tub so we will probably start looking for different options nearby for future stays. Staff was still friendly, and the room was clean, but the bathroom sink was leaking.

Good for a stay but that's about it. No breakfast, no pool. Everything was pretty basic, didn't need much other then a place to lay the head

We weren’t allowed to use the balcony because of outside painting and maintenance and the rooms are a little out dated but the value to the price is what keeps us coming back

The property is being remodelled which was mildly disruptive but not an issue. Staff was nice and service was friendly. Coffee shop and dining was nice. Bight by the river so very quiet.

Place was pretty dirty, hair in the shower, hair on the "clean towels" and in the bed. The shower wouldnt drain so that was kind of gross but whatever. Staff was nice and decent location.

Was under construction which would have been nice to know pre-booking, the night staff made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by asking for an extra blanket and pillow.

This hotel isn’t what we expected. The Lobby looks like a typical Marriott Hotel’s Lobby, but not the room. Room is clean, bed comfortable, construction is going on outside of the building. Price for the room in WA is the same like the same room in SD, however building in Rapid City, South Dakota is newer and more modern.

Great hotel & location. My only complaint would be the charge for parking. Seems crazy to charge $10 for a guest to park in a big open lot with no security.

The location is wonderful, you can get to GU easy using the alternate route. The traffic noise was annoying, but I just turned my TV up and it was fine.

Wonderful stay on the South side of the Spokane River, just to the East of Division. The hotel was quiet and had ample nearby parking. Just a few short blocks from downtown, it's truly a convenient location.

Pool and hot tub were not as clean as they should have been. Room needs a deep cleaning the sleeper sofa was pretty dirty.

Staff were great. Room and area very clean. Excellent walking distance to downtown and area seems clean and safe. For some reason we are in an accessible room which I don’t believe was what I reserved so bathroom is a bit hard when you are tall :) I am thinking this might be because I used Expedia instead of booking directly.

I expected a better stay at a Marriott. There was a used towel hanging on the bathroom door and the wifi was so poor. Not what you expect for the price you pay to stay here. The room was average.

Bed was broken and squeaked with every movement all night long. Bathroom floor had clearly not been cleaned, hairs and pieces of toilet paper all over. Pretty gross overall, would not stay again.

I liked that this property was right next to the river and walking path. Parking was easy and it felt safe.

Building is old and tiles/fixtures are old. Felt like staying in a cheap motel after paying $450 for two days.

Great hotel, right on the Spokane river and next to Expo "74" site. Was there back in "74" and had a great time. Comfortable and clean.

Even though i was there for less than 8 hours for a business trip. They were excellent and the bed was super comfortable. Plus on my end.

Check in was easy, front desk staff were always friendly. Room was sort of outdated, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good (paid). Really liked having a Starbucks on site. Walls were a little thin, could hear the cars crossing the bridge. Great location for being near Riverfront Park; perfect for walking.

Pictures are nicer than the actual hotel. Nothing wrong with it but I expected a little more. Felt slightly dated. In hotel amenities were meh. Rooms were comfortable enough but lacked any sort of wow factor.

Has older furnishings in rooms , but all clean and functional. Walking, biking, skateboard, paved trail beside river, right outside Courtyard's door.

The staff was very friendly. The room was just what we needed and the parking is convenient. I would recommend the Courtyard to anyone looking for a comfortable stay. The whole family enjoyed it.

The only thing that I didn’t like they are putting to much chemicals in the hot tub and pool. It would have been so nice but the bleach smell from the chemicals was burning our eyes after a few minutes. We had to get out.

Also, we thought they had a starbucks on site, but this is incorrect- they just have an in-house cafe that SERVES starbucks coffee... and that in-house cafe is literally only open from 6am-10am which we found a bit ridiculous, as people who enjoy sleeping in but still want caffeine once we're up and about. Now, for the good: everything was very clean, the balcony was nice even though there wasn't much of a view from ours- trees gave privacy from the hotel rooms across the way; fridge was nice to have, vending machines down by the front desk, big tv, and we chose a double queen room even as a couple since it gave us more square footage which made it more comfortable. so if you aren't tempted by the $5 water bottles in the room, don't mind paying for parking, and want the chance to spot a porcupine in the parking lot- this is the hotel for you!

You wouldn't realize the hotel is riverside, but the accessibility was easy. The indoor pool and hot tub were as always amazing. Staff was very accommodating and even allowed us to hang out in their super comfortable lobby while we planned our next voyage on the road.

Uncomfortable beds

I’ve stayed here multiple times with family, but the front desk staff threatened to kick my autistic husband out of the hotel at 2am because they said he was being erratic and belligerent!!!! It was one specific staff member, we were traveling for business with our 7 month old and this staff member thought it was suspicious and erratic that we were up at 2am even when traveling with a baby and was extremely rude to my husband.

The furniture needs to be replaced in the room that we were in. Stained, and gross. The bed was also not as comfortable as his typical. We were kind of disappointed, not up to Marriott standard.
