Not very clean

The hotel is in great proximity to VCOM. The Starbucks in the hotel was great. We stayed 2 nights. The room was NOT cool at all. We were warm. The mattress in both beds were old and had sink holes. The parking underground was nice bc the car was never smoldering. The room was quiet. It seemed clean.

The Spartanburg Marriott is a lovely place in great condition with high end finishes in the common areas, a convenient parking garage on site, clean and comfortable rooms and a helpful staff. We've stayed multiple times, for one night at a time, when passing through the area. It's worth the short drive from the interstate to stay in a place that is quiet and welcoming. We'll be staying there again, and again.

If the pool says closed, the manager is super friendly and helpful and will get it opened for you if she is able.

Very clean, comfortable and luxurious. Very good facilities. Staff very helpful. I arrived very late due to a flight delay and it was hard to get on because the intercom wasn’t working. I think the food, whilst delicious is quite pricey.

Great staff. Rooms are big and comfortable. Biggest issue is the bathrooms. There doesn't appear to be working ventilation and there are obvious signs of mold in the bathrooms.

While the property is not recently updated, it is extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. The gym was very nice as well. If you are doing business anywhere in Spartanburg, you can’t beat this location.

The air was out in the entire building and they only had a few fans. 1 or the 2 elevators near the lobby from the parking garage was broken. This made the morning exit more time consuming than usual. Fire alarm went of several times when there was no issue. We've stayed here before with no issues but this was a terrible stay.

Noel at the front desk was amazing, very helpful and went the extra mile. Really enjoyed our stay with convenient parking at no extra charge, short walk to Spartanburg memorial auditorium for a concert and to tour Wofford College. On site bar and restaurant had great food & room service and really really enjoyed the M club breakfast with fancy coffee machine.

The fitness room was well equipped, with 3 treadmills, bicycles, bar bells, leg extension machine and bench and a small but robust universal weights on pulleys etc type machine. The room was clean, I used it several days during my stay.

The building is big, nice but signs of age. Painted areas outdoors are faded. Light fixtures outside lounge area missing bulbs. The bed mattress was due replacing. We slept in body craters. My wife's head was lower than her feet due to the worn out mattress.

Motel was good, but my truck got broken into along with 4 other trucks that I know of, class was every were. Asked for a broom at front office they told me they didn’t have one, so I had to get all the class around and under neath my truck with my hands. Want stay at a Marriott every again

The room and bathroom were clean. However, it’s all very dated. Our room door didn’t have a lock, the drapes only had the black out curtains, there wasn’t a sheer option. The carpet in the hallway is old.

The room was spotless and smelled nice. The lobby and lounge area was very comfortable and welcoming, and smelled very clean. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Staff in all parts of the hotel are friendly and very helpful.

The common areas of the hotel, including the bar and restaurant, are great. The check-in was quick and efficient and the staff was terrific. The room was clean and very spacious, but it was a bit out dated. The rooms could use a refresh. But, overall it was a great stay and if definitely stay again.

The staff at this location is extremely rude for no reason. I approached the desk to ask a simple question and was immediately met with a rude response. The bartender was also rude. She was very snippy to a child (age 11 or 12) that kindly asked if she could have a cup of water. The girl even said “excuse me” and “please”. The response she received was “you can see that I’m doing something so you are going to have to wait!” However, there was no one sitting at the bar. The coffee shop staff was also very rude. Out of all the Marriotts that I have stayed at this one is the worst!! I highly suggest they retrain the staff in hospitality.

Easy to get to Nothing

Very clean and nice staff Was accommodating and quick with response and service Disappointing that you couldn’t bring food from outside and eat with your family in the common area. The pull out was uncomfortable with thin mattress. No coffee or cookies, etc that was inviting in the common area.

The hotel breakfast area is nice. The hotel needs to be updated. The rooms have peeling wallpaper, outdated TVs and no full length mirror. In 2025, we should have more up to date rooms for the price that is being asked for the stay.

The check desk young man who checked us in was wonderful. The blonde woman who worked with house keeping and sometimes at the front desk was absolutely terrible, rude and not helpful at all.

The stay at the Marriott Spartanburg SC was extremely nice. Everyone was very accommodating to the extent of going out of their way to make sure everything was right . The rooms were clean, the bathroom towels were REAL TOWELS 😁 and all the staff were respectful and willing to assist in any way.

The location to Wofford campus is great, and the elevators are very fast which is nice. The water in the shower was not very warm on Saturday morning. The air conditioner was not cooling very well.

She called before check in time began as a courtesy to inform me my room was ready. She extended a complimentary upgrade, as my Aunt had never seen a hotel as nice and well appointed. Malaysia is the employee that makes the lasting difference and gives the WOW factor. She deserves recognition for an excellent greeting and follow up.

Very nice hotel but it lacked warmth in hospitality. No refrigerator or microwave in the room. 2 cup coffee or w/o enough creamers,sugars etc for 2 people. Cost 28.00 for 2 bags of pretzels.

it was within walking distance to the venue where we watched a show that night. The parking was free and easy. the food at the restaurant was not good. We paid $70 for two hamburgers. And they were so greasy and salty, they were almost inedible. $70... Then the coffee was really not good. And the breakfast was similar. The fruit was good, but the potatoes we again, very salty and greasy. There was a loud train that woke us up several times right outside our window.

I enjoyed my stay there, however, prior to my arrival, I had requested additional pillows (the ones in the room were very soft) but did not receive it nor was it mentioned. Although I could have asked, I was in a hurry to attend a football game at Wofford College and didn't return until after 11 pm. Other than that, I won't hesitate to stay there the next time.

Whats not to like? The pricing was really good especially for a holiday weekend. Everything was clean and the food was good. Nice folks at the desk. Truly enjoyed the stay and will be back.

The hotel is great. The only negative is that it is located close to the railroad tracks and the freight trains pass through several times each night. Even with the trains, I would stay there again.

The tv didn't work. Like a big screen from probably 20 or more years ago. Toilet was terrible, falling apart lid and handle. I liked the big bathroom and convenient location of the hotel. Staff was helpful and friendly although they seemed understaffed at check in. Also they charged for wifi! Ridiculous for the price of the room.

Simple quiet comfortable overnight stay.

It took about 6 minutes to get hot water in Room 700 in the morning and the room when we came in was 67° and no matter what we did with the thermostat we could not get it to heat up. Finally we just turned the whole system off and it warmed up a little that way. I knew have a suggestion since this was supposed to be a handicapped accessible room. My wife and I are not handicapped but I thought if someone was it would be nice to have like an Alexa to turn the lights on and off. Just a thought.

Cobwebs in the garage, etc, need attention and The flipSide service and staff were phenomenal; each person made us feel seen and welcomed

The check-in was quick and easy. Lady was very nice. The lobby was very clean and nice. The room was large but the bed was too firm for our preference. We had breakfast vouchers but the service from the waitress was very subpar (forgot about us) and we were 2 of 3 people there. The Mesh was expensive and unorganized. We would stay again to give them another chance due to Prom and maybe a wedding going on.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Easy check in process. The floor we were on and the room was dated. Nice size bathroom, comfortable beds. Was only in the room a short time.

Loved the Property. Now I discovered that booking directly with the Property as opposed to a third-party vendor like Expedia. Not only did Expedia quote me $438 for a one night extended stay, up substantially from $175 last night, but they told me it was because they only had one more room, but I was already at the property and they confirmed that Expedia was providing misinformation about the current status and price for the property. Finally, they charged me $200 to cancel my reservations when I mistakenly pressed the wrong day for my next stay (I was off by ONE day!)I will never conduct any type transaction with Expedia.com.

Great location and staff, clean. Bathroom clean new tub/ shower but paint /doors, around vanity shows wear and tear. Decor dated.

Much potential with this location. Staff was outstanding. Rooms need renovation. Building is gorgeous. Appointments are out dated.

Clean and cozy in a good location.

I had completed the form for a mobile check-in notification - I never received it. I had a few hours I could have checked in around 5. However, since I never received notification I did not risk coming. When I arrived I was informed they were to busy to do online check-ins. There was no one in the lobby at the time. When I did check in - they sent me a text me room was ready. There was no bottle water in the rooms - I asked this at the deck and was told yes.

Excellent property friendly staff very clean. Super convenient location to dining shopping. hotel restaurant has excellent food.

Everything was great except for the pillows, they offered zero support. The restaurant was excellent. So was the bar. We will definitely be back. We'll just bring our own pillows next time.

Our stay was in mid February and the room air conditioners were disabled. Too hot in room though and couldn't open a window!

The oatmeal was stone cold. The waitress was very gracious but it had to be sent back twice.

Disappointed there were no refrigerators in rooms. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Would enjoy more options for TV streaming.

Clean and convenient

It was nice. Cons: A much older and worn property. You have to pay $7/night for internet service, which seems a bit much. Pros:The food was delicious and it was located close to downtown.

The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Our initial room did not have heat and after a check by the maintenance engineer they quickly moved us to another room after making sure the heat was working in that one. We ate at the restaurant and had a great tasting meal with more great service. Definitely the place to stay in Spartanburg.

The staff was very welcoming. Our room was comfortable and clean. We had difficulty warming up the room however the staff were very attentive and fixed the problem. Nice bar and lounge. Restaurant was OK, very convenient.

Should have been a $250 room instead of a $350 room at best

Getting dated, cracks in the walls, service is fantastic and it’s very close to loads of entertainment.
