Bathtub looked like it needed to be cleaned., the fan in bathroom was covered in dust/dirt with no cover in it. Walked to lobby for continental breakfast small bag of nuts and coffee. Outside garbage overflowing and stunk. Will never stay there again

When we showed up we had to talk through a window because it was later in the evening There was no body wash in the container in the shower Some shady people all around the hotel don't think I'd ever stay at a red roof again This morning at checkout was a guy sleeping in the lobby There were people in and out of the parking lot all times of night shining lights in through the windows it was not a comfortable stay at all And they said they offered breakfast it was one old banana some very low quality muffin we were afraid to even drink the milk in our coffee Didn't mention it to the desk clerk who did absolutely nothing

I was first struck by the sign stating the hotel was renovated which could be far from the truth, infact the room floor looks like it was coming up , the refrigerator wasn't getting cold at all and dirty inside, the bathroom tub was disgusting it had paint everywhere on the inside and the sink didn't have a stopper in it so this was my first and last time staying there I'm sorry it was a terrible experience

The room was dirty, the bathroom looked like it hasn't been cleaned. There was no soap in the soap dispenser. We had to clean the toilet ourselves because there were dirt and other stuff on it. One of the beds had a dip in it and it made a horrible sound every time you move. Was not able to get a full night's sleep because of it. No full breakfast either.

Almost perfect. Everyone was very nice and friendly and helpful. The refrigerator in the room had stuff spilled in it that we had to clean before using it. There was nothing in the soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion bottles. Fortunately I had those things in my luggage and the guy at the front desk found us a bar of soap, so we were good. Otherwise everything was very clean and neat and we enjoyed our stay.

The Bed - very firm, also very noisy. Every time you roll over, you hear it squeak and squirm. Cleanliness - it was moderately clean; the shower seemed like it could have used more attention, and the sheets had some yellowing and stains. The Environment - the rooms had been updated, but the refrigerator didn't work and the A/C worked great! It did sound like a jet taking off when it turned on. The room could have used better lighting, and also a comfortable chair. The only chair was the office chair. Breakfast - very basic, but some offerings. Again, it was just for a night's sleep. Would I stay there again? I'd have to look and see what was offered in the area.

Beds squeaked every time we rolled over through out the night. Heater made a loud noise when temperatures called for it to heat. Walls were thin. We could hear the conversation of our next door neighbors.

I was refunded only partial of my deposit without explanation why. I didn’t destroy or steal anything in the room. The bed has zero give to it and is very hard and uncomfortable. The pillows are completely flat.

Just needed a place to sleep and this was perfect. Nothing fancy, just your basics. Was clean great price.

We got in a little later and there were a few people ahead of me for check in. The two gentlemen working the front desk were super kind and patient with my daughter and even offered her a free candy! The room was clean, the beds were comfy, and it was a great experience overall. If I needed to stay in Spartanburg again, I'd stay here for sure!

The staff at this property were nice, but the property is old and very much needs to be renovated. They keep it clean, but some things even clean won’t help. There are long-term residents living there and both Friday and Saturday there was a lot of yelling, loud conversations, and door slamming going on until well after 1am. The stairs to the second floor where we stayed did not feel safe, especially with the landing right in front of a door that opens toward you. The only dining options were Waffle House and McDonalds. We stayed there to save money while on a business trip to Spartanburg; next time we’ll pay a little more to stay in a more comfortable place with a better location.

This is a dirty establishment that has people living there long term smoking and up all hours. The bed was covered in what looked like body fluids and when I asked for a new set of bedding all I was given was a decorative cover for the bed I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in this hotel - horrible! Disgusting

Limited staff,….and they advertised having breakfast but ran out of all items during breakfast hours and did not replenish them.

When we arrived the attendant was screaming at a costomer that there was no clean towels in the whole hotel. The bathroom was dirty needing many repairs . Enclosed is a picture of our towels . The next morning the “breakfast included “ consisted of some stail honey buns , cornflakes and juice machine that didn’t work. The whole place had an odor . When we turned on the heat it smelled worse . The most unsatisfactory experience I have ever had .

Inside the room was splattered something on a chair and the lamp at a desk. The lamp on the wall closest to the door did not work. The neighborhood was not attractive at all.

I was passing through town ended up needing a hotel the staff was very polite and the rooms were clean.

The property did not feel safe. The only breakfast items available were packaged old muffins. They also had juice, but the nozzle was full of gnats. There were so many long term renters there. It felt like more of an old apartment building. They had handwritten signs everywhere to explain rules to the longterm renters. I definitely do not recommend.

Upon arrival property didn’t look like pics. Sketchy people walking around and traveling alone did not feel safe. Called and tried to cancel since not booked directly thru hotel I had to call Travelocity after an hour trying to get situated they got ahold of hotel and I was issued a refund. Customer service was great

It is old and rundown. There was mold on the ceiling and walls of the bathroom. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would have left, but I paid online and there was no refund. I slept in my clothes.

The service was HORRIBLE. When asked for a new wash clothe we were told there were no extras even after explaining about the yellow stain on the wash clothe provided by the motel. When getting to the room were told that owed a deposit when it was not explained on the website when ordering online. Overall experience -10 out of 10. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I drive around to my room and some addict staggered out of his room asking if I was looking for JP. Another addict was on the ground behind the hotel in the woods and someone else kept looking at me and at my car. After going to the room I decided it wasn’t safe and just left. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Easy to find, VERY clean, comfortable (sheets were SO SOFT), friendly and easy check in, adequate take away breakfast. We really like Red Roof Inn!

Clean room, friendly staff, facility stayed quiet at night. The area around the facility seemed good but not many nearby amenities, a few restaurants and a couple gas stations. Fir an inexpensive stay it served its purpose well.

The room did smell ok, but the room walls were flithy, the bath towels and rags were stained, the mattress was thin and noisy. It was dust everywhere in the room.

The room was dirty and smelled moldy. The lock did not work, we literally could not lock our door. Called the front desk, waited for someone to come. They could not fix it, but instead we had to pack up and move to another room; which was equally dirty and smelly. this is a low rate motel; you get what you pay for.

Room next door had parties all night long I think they were friends with the manager so he did not stop them. Constantly had visitors coming and going that were disassembling the toilet and putting it back together all night long yelling and cursing loudly slamming doors running up and down the hallway I called the front office they told me they had no other rooms available and my only option was to leave instead of stopping the party.

Don’t stay here! Blood stained bedspread (didn’t discover until next morning); rusty, dirty, stained everywhere. Next morning Sheriff is walking around - then discover at least 3 sheriff vehicles. Signs everywhere about not responsible for car/items. Employees would not share why sheriff there. Have to pay an upfront deposit on room - checking out they then check room and credit back. Signs about no guests allowed. People hanging out drinking, smoking outside rooms. Wish I paid more to stay elsewhere - luckily no issues… never again

This was an unexpected and not planned trip. The price was reasonable, and the room was relatively clean. The bed was awful though.

The heat did not work properly and after the problem was brought to the hotel manager’s attention , he waited until checkout to verify the functionality of the HVAC system. Once he checked to confirm my story after me checking out, he only offered a low percentage of my money, so I just told him to keep the money if that was his best offer. He wasn’t really interested and showered poor customer satisfaction to his hotel guest.

The pictures doesn’t give justice. I was expecting something similar to what I saw on the website but the room wasn’t very clean, the bed sheets weren’t very clean. I’m very dissatisfied

No security latch on door. House keeping was relentless in trying to get in. Strongly recommend against a solo female traveler.

We were not able to stay at this property. There were people parked in the parking lot selling and doing drugs. The property is disgusting. Hopefully Expedia and Red Roof will refund my money.

My experience at this property wasn't great at all. Partially because another guest who was staying above me but, when I complained to the staff, their ablility to fix the situation was absolutely unacceptable. They refused to refund me my money and they wouldn't ask the people above me to leave. (There were several other rooms complaining about these SAME people staying above me... STILL didn't matter to the hotel staff) I will never even consider staying in this hotel again. Other things I noticed as well... the light in the bathroom was flickering as if there was a short, the light switch cover was hanging off the wall (bathroom switch), there was a van in the parking lot that looked like it had been there for 15 years. Flat tires, missing windows, just a pile of junk. This hotel needs MAJOR work, including an overhaul of the refund terms (there are LITERALLY no refund terms... meaning they don't give refunds at all and that alone is terrible service especially for this hotel)

The property was very dated. Clean but old. The bedspread had cigarette burns. Actual holes in it. The bathroom door inside was all beat up like a dog had been locked in it and torn up the wood. The room smelled really strongly of cigarettes.

Towels were very old in this property, sheets had cigarette burns, a total of 3 lights didn’t work in the room, stain in the floor of the tub, and cable was down for a period of time.

Last min hotel free for dog which was great for short notice the wifi is great... room had roaches all over door frame was broken bath mat was dirty when we arrived. Bed was broken.( large dips in matress as well as a constant squeaking.) Over all the hotel was horrible definitely worth spending the extra evn in a last min trip. Checked in at 8pm & seemed relatively quiet… fell asleep by 9… was awakened at 1am by next door folks blaring the tv so loud we could hear every word including them conversating… people upstairs sounded like they were coming through the floor from 1-3:30am -sound of the wood beds crashing against the floor. I thought for a minute someone was being killed. When we woke up at 630am to pack and get back on the road we could hear our neighbor snoring through the wall. I also stepped in puke on my way to the car as we walked past the row of men coughing and hacking as they inhaled their morning fix of cigarette smoke…. you know what kind of place this is…. and if you’re use to it go for it. However, If you have an extra $20-30 please pay it and go elsewhere for a night of rest.

About midnight a huge domestic argument took place in a nearby room. The argument was extremely loud with the doors being slammed multiple times. I was concerned about the argument and the safety of the people around. the argument and loud noise went on for about 15 minutes. I contacted the front desk about contacting the police to settle the argument down. The night time person on duty [a male] said it was just an argument and not necessary to contact the police. The rating is based on the lack of concern of the night time person.

the room was terrible. Bathroom door would not shut. Handle on lav faucet broken and the tub I would not put my feet in. Over all the room was not real clean.

Although they said "free continental breakfast", there was none. The room had no coffee maker, and the plate in the microwave was the wrong one. Let them know the toilet was running and they didn't seem to care. Door needed cleaned as did the shower.

I stayed here one night with my husband. We drove long hours and just wanted to have a place to sleep. It was a big mistake. Someone who was staying this hotel started a party in the parking lot in the evening. That kept till 2am. It was so loud that we couldn't sleep at all. We hoped we stayed somewhere, else even though hotel room wasn't bad. I will not come back here.

Basic room nothing fancy. Iron didn't work but front desk brought one up as soon as I called.

I was visiting a friend in town and needed a place to stay that was off the interstate and on my way home. It’s hotels serve both of those needs and a clean, comfortable, in an efficient manner. My only complaint would be that the AC was a little noisy from time to time, and that you can hear other peoples conversation throughout the halls at night. However, everything else went very well.

Convenient to interstate. Clean. Felt a bit unsafe at shouting after midnight and someone peeling out of parking lot.

I stayed there for 2 nights. There were no hot water in shower on the first night, and the toilet kept clogging up. I complained the front desk about these issues next morning. A male staff told me the maintenance person would come in an hour later. However, nobody showed up, so I contacted them again. Then a female staff answered my phone call. It seemed there was no communication between outgoing staff and incoming staff, and there was no work order for hot water issue. I explained her about those issues again. Eventually, she placed me into a clean different room. I am very thankful for her quick decision. That’s why I rated this property as “pleasing.”

Okay overall. Cheap rate and allowed pets. There was no plate in the microwave to use it and room smelled bad. The wifi was awful, i tried to download a movie on my laptop and was unsuccessful after 12 hours.

The room had a bad smell, very noisy room we could hear the talking in other rooms. The price add was different than Expedia has charged me. The price on Expedia was $38.00 plus tax total $45.00. The total chanrge was over $70.

The hotel charged my card twice causing my account to overdraft.

Staff was horrible. Bed had broken springs staff did nothing for us. Towels were dirty sheets were dirty. Cleaned and changed the sheets myself. Comforter was stained and i believe unwashed. Desk was hanging on the wall with one screw. Wall had some type of beverage spilled all over it and never cleaned up. When asked if we could leave they said sure but you will not get a refund. Overall experience just horrible. Id try out something else.

Hotel was a little run down looking, needs updating. Rooms were spacious and cleaner than I expected based on the outside/lobby area. Good for quick night's sleeping before hitting the road again.
