Whenever I come to the Spartanburg area I always Comfort Inn as my home away from home. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Staff was very helpful. Room smelled of weed when we got into room. Let front desk know and they came to the room and sprayed room since they had no rooms available to move us too. Tried the pool door wouldn’t read our key cards. Breakfast was ok, did the job. Easy location for a one night stay going through town.

When I went to my room. I checked out the bathroom and the other areas and everything appeared to beclean and sanitized. But when I got in bed and pulled the covers up I smelled something horrible like ( a sweaty arm pit) I got up turned On the light and found the smell was coming from the comforter they That had been covered with the coverlet. The comforter was soiled with what looked like some type of body fluids there were several yellow stains on the comforter. I pulled the comforter off the bed and found a blanket in the closet for cover. Needless to say I was disgusted and nauseous from that experience and exposure.

The trip lasted about six days and went very well. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff who would be very helpful and answer all my questions. The cleaning staff were extremely nice and thankful for keeping our hotel room clean along with stocked with the essentials. Overall, this trip wouldn’t have gone so smoothly without the wonderful staff.

For some reason the internet was down so there was no tv, computer usage and the front desk had to walk you to your room since the keys could not work

Very good hotel for the price! Actually, one of the best I've stayed in for that price! There really wasn't much I didn't like, except for maybe the eggs for breakfast. But they were decent. Sausage was good.

Check in staff was rude and acted as if doing me a favor. Desk personnel mumbled making it extremely difficult to hear over blaring rap music and water feature. Room 119 smelled terrible like a wet dog. Excessive noise from HVAC so we requested another room. Was told that wasn’t an option so we gathered our things and were ready to leave when another desk person “checked with her boss “ to get us another room. Confirmed room change and moved us to 103. Also reaked of dog. Pet friendly dog policy needs revisited with staff and cleaning crew! Rude, inattentive behavior of desk personnel needs addressed. Sorry Spartanburg Comfort Inn, but we won’t be staying with you in the future. Terrible decision on my part and a poor $160 decision on my part compared to other Comfort Inns I’ve stayed in. Motel 6 here I come!

Everything was great with my stay. I stayed with them every other week for several months. my stay was always enjoyable.

Bed was comfortable, but VERY high! Difficult for a short person to get in.

There were no carts available to take our luggage to the room. We had to make two trips to get everything up there. The staff said someone took them to their room and didn't return them. The A/C didn't keep the room cool. I would say it was because the bed was too close to the unit.

We missed the breakfast by about 5 minutes. That was disappointing. Also, they used to beer and wine available in the snack shop. We enjoyed that and were sorry it has been discontinued. The staff. They are always great!

Had no issue checking in and the staff was pleasant to work with. The room we reserved was clean, spacious, and provided everything we expected. The parking lot was well lit so we felt comfortable leaving some of the heavier gear in the truck overnight. Breakfast was great so we could fill up before a day's work. The room temperature was easy to set and we slept well during our entire stay. When we return the to area, this will be our first choice to check for availability.

I had a do not disturb sign on my door but yet they still knocked every morning.my card wouldn’t work at night to let me in the building and the lady at the desk ignored us for a few minutes before she finally let us in …also my last night staying my card wouldn’t work to let me in the room I had to make 2 trips to the front desk just to ask her to please reset my card

Recently renovated so the facility is modern and clean. The breakfast is very good and the staff are wonderfully accommodating and friendly . The pool was not open yet? The toilet in the room backed-up several times. The staff was responsive but it was an annoyance.

Wonderful, Amazing…this hotel saved us from the one we arrived to. The staff was so kind to accommodate us although we arrived outside the booking window for a the night. It was very dirty, it looked like someone had been in the beds, the furniture was sticky, there was a small blood stain on the comforter, even the hallways looked like they had not been vacuumed in a while. Pictures very deceiving. The side door we came in said it was broken and to use the front door but it was propped open with a small towel. We didn’t even stay we asked for a refund and left.

Pool was closed no water. Food for breakfast was terrible even at 7 am when breakfast started. Shower was disgusting soap left in the tub soap scum all over tub had to go buy cleaning supplies and clean it ourselves, tooth paste build up on mirror in bathroom used q tips on floor next to beds staff was rude and unprofessional. Over all terrible experience stains on sheets she's had marker all over them looked dirty.

The property was in a great location, and it was clean. The rooms did have a funny smell when you first entered but I just sprayed it down with Lysol. Over all property was fine. The front desk staff was rude. The way they looked at us upon arrival. Then we stood there for more than 7 mins waiting to get her to even start checking us in. The front desk lady name Rodasia or whatever her name is, oh she is rude, rude!! Her attitude and tone is not for front desk. I will not ever stay there again. And the lady with the long nails, and braids…black lady, she was rude too. I don’t understand. I work with the public daily and that’s not the attitude you need at a front desk.

Love the property It’s one lady who is very Rude every time we stay. Just rude for no reason. I left and didn’t return until she was gone for the day and she was off the whole weekend. But everytime I encounter her she is rude. She needs to do better. Her customer service skills are horrible. I can’t remember her name but I know what she looks like.

Deadbolt didn't lock. We were given a different room and the bathroom door wouldn't close. Staff was "sorry about that". No big deal. Several young men roaming property. I didn't feel safe.

We loved our room! Even though it was located right by the lobby it was quiet. It was spacious, modern and clean. The king bed was comfy! Plenty of bathroom counter space. The lobby was nicely updated and the hot breakfast was good. The only problem was the night desk person. I am hearing impaired but with new stare of the art AI hearing aids. Neither my husband nor i could understand her as she mumbled and looked down. Plus i couldnt log onto the wifi without joining choice rewards again. Desk people were no help. So good stay to a point.

I didn’t use the kitchen area after I saw what my rooms bathroom looked like. The vent hadn’t been cleaned in months thick dust caked on it VERY VISABLE & the toilet (on the floor in front was awe fully nasty & around the backs and side had urine that had been there for sometime, days. Infront if toilet was the worse dried yellow urine and whatever else around it- had to have been there for sometime. I did show video to the staff upon my checkout. Parking was good. Cold AC, bed ok— not a room, the bathroom filth made it a Bad Stay and I will not return to this facility.

The ceiling had water damage and looked like it was going to collapse on us at any time. They charged me $123 because they said items were missing. 1 towel, 1 trashcan and a soap dish. I can assure you I didn’t take these items. I also know for a fact that they are lying because I had brought my own towels and had 2 extra. So how did I take

I had 12 pm checkout. At 11:30am when I went to wash my hands I was surprised to find no water in taps. Front desk lady said they had to change something and it would be 1 hr to get water back. The cleaning lady had a surly cake band bothered to helpe attitude.

I don't know what happened to the quality of the Comfort Hotel brand, but I have been disappointed during my last two stays. Different locations. On a positive note, the hotel room was clean and the night shift front desk staff were courteous and professional.

Stay over all was fine. Our key kept not working. Would take us sometimes 2-3 minutes to get into our room despite having new keys made. Our drain in our tub also didn’t work well so showers turned into baths within 3-5 minutes. Room had leaves and bug is it upon arrival. Staff and breakfast was pleasant.

We found a pair of men’s underwear in the pullout couch. That’s highly disturbing and the cleaning staff needs to be thorough. This immediately put a bad spin on the whole stay.

This was by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever stepped in to. Our room was no vacuumed, crumbs, pills, and toenails on the floors. The bathroom sink was covered in pubic hairs and there was a cockroach in the sink. The couch had a huge brown splatter stain, the walls had brown something dripping down them. The bed had hairs in it. The desk chair was ripped and dirty. There were cockroaches crawling up the walls. We took multiple pictures. We left the night we checked in. The front desk clerk was not personable at all, but told us we would receive a full refund. I would never stay or recommend this hotel.

He was so rude and just tried to belittle me. I had a conversation with the manager the next day. She apologized and made sure I knew she would address the issue. When I checked out this morning he was working the front desk. Not sure what type of discipline was done if I stayed 2 nights and the 2 day he's back to working. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.......

The room was perfect, although with a husband who was snorting I decided you sleep in the fold out bed, I don’t recommend it, felt the springs. They need a foam topping. Other than that great location, clean.

I was pleased. It is overall a very good value for the money. I felt safe, and the room was nice. The only downside was that there were a few odd things -- a lamp in the room seemed to have a short in it; the AC thermostat was a little wonky but worked. But overall, good value for the money.

Only 4 stars because the beds are only full size, yes it says that in the picture, but it would have been ok if the pull out was more comfortable and the kids could have slept on that. You could feel every spring, no they are not all like this either. This was never an update mattress or a topper. Pool was closed some of the time we were there. Breakfast was hotel breakfast food. The mall was across the street was ok. Lots of places to eat and shop in the area. We mostly will not stay again because of the small beds.

Very nice hotel. The breakfast was good. The breakfast area is small because the space is cut off by a wall. It’s hard to get in and out during busy times. The room was nice but I take points off for the damp odor. I carry odoban with me while traveling because some hotels have a damp musty odor like wet carpet that didn’t dry under ventilation. The air freshener helped with the odor.

I was on a solo trip for family business. The hotel was nice mostly clean, but the biggest issue was the sink and bathtub did not drain properly. I told the front desk the first day I was there and it was never fixed in four days. That was disappointing.

Checked in Sunday for a stay until Wednesday. Room did not get housekeeping at all on Monday. On Tuesday they only picked up towels and got trash. No cleaning, no bed making, no wiping down anything. I checked out early and mentioned this to the front desk staff. He took a note but other than that no comment, no apology. People loud running up and down the hall late Sunday night, talking loud in and out of rooms etc. A fire alarm went off Sunday night/Monday morning at about 1am or so, not real sure why but no fire truck came and no one checked with the guests to let us know what was going on. By the time I was about to evacuate the alarm stopped and everyone went back in their rooms. Perhaps it had something to do with the awful Weed smell you could smell when coming off the elevator and walking up the hall. Breakfast not as good as advertised. Oatmeal in a pot on counter was just watery, not made properly. There were bagels available but only two pieces of regular in bread keeper and they were end pieces and hard. On a positive note there was cream cheese and butter available for the bagels. Had to get someone to fix the coffee dispenser because the top was not connected and couldn’t get the coffee to come out. Overall it was not a safe warm welcoming feeling in general at the hotel like I have experienced at other Comfort Suites I have stayed at. I will add, the front desk lady working on Tuesday morning was very nice.

The room was clean and comfortable but had the telltale signs of age. The queen beds and pillows were comfortable. We had a suite with a pull out couch because I had let them know we were 2 adults and 3 kids. There was only one extra pillow and a blanket, no sheets. The couch mattress was about 3 inches thick and felt like a bed of springs. The dining room was spacious but the area the breakfast is served is closed in and too crowded.

Our room was nice but the entire hotel smells like "stunk". The hallways, the front, outside. Thankfully our room did not smell.

The furniture in my room was damage( leather torn off). Staff advise me no drinks can be at the pool not even water

Quiet, easy, spacious

Room cleanliness was a 7 out of 10. Previous guest clearly had Taco Bell with shredded cheese in the desk seat and around the carpet edging in the sitting area. The room we had overlooked the dumpsters and maintenance storage. Behind that was a homeowner with a fenced yard and lots of "stuff". A view solved by closing the blinds immediately.

Crazy/loud guests staying there made it not the best stay. Staff was nice but this property needs updates.

The property and room was clean overall, and it is convenient location off of the interstate. You can hear guests walking around in the rooms above you, which makes sleeping difficult if you are a light sleeper.

Hair on the shower walls and clogged in the drain. The remote for the TV was filthy and didn’t have batteries. The sofa bed pullout mattress was stained in several areas with red, brown and yellow stains. It was not clean and would not stay there again.

So, on the last day of their 4-night stay, they came back to the room after working a 10-hour shift the room that was 85 degrees. My men requested to be moved however, the same woman that checked them in stated they will have Maintenace there shortly. Mind you, shortly to her was 2 - 3 hours out. I had to call and complain that I wanted them moved or I wanted the supervisor. I called the main number to Choice Hotels to complain. My men went down to the desk in which they were moved to another room.

Close to things

We came with two dogs and were happy they were welcomed. Our family trip was quickly planned due to an emergency. Comfort Suites have been our choice for awhile. Breakfast items were varied and plentiful. Our room was comfortable.

Room was clean. Toilets are not ADA compliant. Might as well have just been the hole in the ground. No toilet in the building is higher than 12”. These are toddler toilets. My room had millipedes crawling thru it every day. People seem to stay only a night or two. We stayed 5 and it was noisy, but that is just the other guests not caring.

Stay was very nice. It was quite at night which is alway good. Breakfast was a little lack luster.

The room was dirty when I got there. The font desk staff needs to be more professional. Power was kept off on the Washer machine to take peoples money

Hotel was clean, room was nice and comfortable.

Reservation issue between Expedia and property. Hotel clerk and I caught in the middle. Expedia did call but property was sold out and nothing they could offer. Property did call sister hotel whom were also fully booked. Reservation I made online with Expedia was for 2 double beds. Reservation was specifically made so all travelers would have an actual bed to sleep in. When we checked in, it was in a King Room with a small pull out sofa. VERY VERY unhappy with reservation. Now have TRUST ISSUES that the reservation I make with Expedia will actually be what the hotel can actually deliver. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

The hotel was close to the main drag for restaurants and stores. Only ten minutes from star sports center. Liked that they offered rooms with two beds and couch just what we needed. What was not good, ice machine on our floor was broken and pool closed even though it was advertised as open on Expedia for May. When we checked in the lady wasn't friendly but got the job done other front desk were. Breakfast starts early but not as early as other hotels. Fridge didn't get cold but there was a fridge always a plus and microwave. Can be hard to turn left when leaving hotel no light. Easy parking, elevator fast, only saw one. Would stay again as location good, hopefully pool will be open and they offer three beds with the couch.

If it weren’t for the friendly staff at the front desk, would’ve rated terrible. Gentleman at the front desk Saturday was wonderful. Room was gross. Flies in the ice bucket, hair on the shower wall and floor, and missing linens and pillows for sleeper sofa we needed. Was told “sorry, we’re completely booked, we don’t have any extras” but the gentleman at the front desk was a life saver ! This hotel is in a great location near shopping, food and entertainment, shame it’s not a nicer place.

The sheets on the bed were not clean, and i had to wait 20 minutes to get checked in.

The overall stay was good. The room was clean. Very accesible to nearby restaurants and shopping. My only complaint is the bed was too high.

Clean rooms

I called immediately Expedia and hotel and both was not able to help . So I have to do new reservation and I had paid for it.

Unfortunately, i came when the pool was closed. The breakfast was ok not great and when we needed our door yo be opened while we were away so someone could pick up the oxygen tanks my sister had needed, the front desk would not let him in without a hassle. Eventually this was taken care of. That was most unfortunate.

Only stayed 1 night as we were on our way to another location. Clean, quiet room. Friendly staff at front desk. Nice location. Easy to get to from highway. Nice breakfast

Only complaint bathroom fan did not work. Yet nice facility and very clean. Complementary breakfast excellent and the area stocked and staff very nice.

Plumbing issue. Every time the bathroom in the lobby is flushed, it back flows out from the drain on the floor. The shower was draining slowly in the room. Report it on first night. Stayed for 3 nights and still the same. House keeping on cleaned up one night and missed the other nights.

We were charged a $50 pet fee and the room was not very clean. You would think with the extra payment it would have been clean to regular standards. Couch was dirty, floor trim torn off, and desk chair ripped up.

The buffet was terrible. Eggs and sausage awful. We got in late and needed a cart for luggage. The lady at the front desk just ate her ice cream bar and said I don’t know. No offer to help at all. Room was ok. Found used vape in couch and pull out couch was the worst thing i have ever laid on! Staff was very apathetic.

There was no drain stopper in the bath tub so the thing you do is take a cold shower.😡 You not use the tub. Not to mention there was black sticky stuff on the bathroom shower wall. The sleeper sofa smelled bad. The side door entrance did not work. The man at the front desk said it needed to be replaced. One of the towels that was folded neatly was actually really dirty and had hair stuck to it. There was a clock on the night table but it didn’t work. It was my first visit to the city and I will have to be returning often but, I will not STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!

We have a good stayed here, breakfast was good, easy parking, great greeting staff and love they daily take trash out. Only thing I would recommend is breakfast starting 6:30am on weekend as our daughter games were early she couldn't grab something early morning before leaving.

We enjoyed the roominess of our suite and convenience to the interstate. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. They also had a nice breakfast.

I did not get room cleaned until I mentioned it to front desk. I received room cleaning after 4 days.

We stayed at this hotel for one night while traveling back from vacation. The hotel staff is friendly, and our room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was filling.

Service was exceptional. Room was comfortable, roomy, and clean. Continental breakfast was great!

Easy spot to get to from the Highway. Breakfast was OK. Couch was stained. Bed was comfy. Mall was across the street. If you need a quick cheap place close to stuff, this works.

Nice place, well located. Old keys room can a headache. And cleaning service was not good.

We paid for a balcony room upgrade and when checking in the front desk said I have to be transparent and there has been a water leak from upper room and we need to remediate. They moved us to a room overlooking a parking lot that was a basic and would not adjust our rate because it was paid to Expedia. I spent 85 minutes on the phone with Expedia and they finally agreed to adjust my rate and give me the difference in key money to my account. If I had of booked direct with Hilton I would have had an easier time handling this.

Everything was good except that we ran out of hot water during the first shower.

Great experience

The rooms where nice only problem I had was that the card key for the room wouldn’t work and wouldn’t let us in a few times, so I had to continuously go to front desk and the front desk person wasn’t that friendly.

Easy access and restaurant options

Very good hotel, clean, good breakfast, very comfortable beds, I only have to say that our bathroom in room 303 the drain of our tub and sink were not working properly and our toilet was loose.

Everything was Great. I scored 3 out 5 only for comfort, because the bed was not as soft as I am use too, and the commode seems a little low, but the room was spacious, plenty of room, the breakfast was OK. Typical eggs, waffle, sausage or bacon, grits, cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, so it was OK, but very impressed with how much room we had. VERY Spacious. Loved IT.

The king size bed was old and creaky with every movement.. please repair the bed

I booked a pet friendly room. Only to be told the room I was placed in was not pet friendly. I had to pay an additional $150 not happy at all with how this experience ended.
