This is an older motel however it is very wellaomtained. The room was very cute. It was peaceful. I'm enjoyed it very much. Though the parking is not the best.

Staff was very helpful and professional. Although this is an older local hotel it had everything needed. Very clean and well provided for with mini fridge, microwave and coffee pod machine with supplies to make coffee. I arrived quite a bit early for my reservation and they were able to accommodate me with allowing me in my room early. I traveled by bus and this location is very close and convenient to the transit center, about 1 block away. Would stay here again!!

Perfect place to stay when you’re going to a concert at the Nugget Event center, just a short walk. Cute, clean rooms, cordial and courteous front desk clerk. 10/10

Seems like a cute hotel to stay in. I sent my husband to Sparks to a funeral and he said even though he’s not squeamish about hotels, but it was in a really rough area. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly enough. No amenities but be wary. It’s not a good neighborhood at all to stay in. We Switched him to a new hotel the next day.

On the last day, noticed A/C filter needed to be changed, probably the reason why im having trouble breathing now and feel like my asthma of 25 years ago seems to be coming back... With a vengeance! Parking is a bit tight especially since Many customers seem to be bringing in their big Chevys and Ford F-150's. the lot next to it is parking for Firestation Personnel which has space but you run the risk of getting called out by hotel staff or Fire Dept.

I enjoyed my stay at the Victorian Inn. The room was clean, had a mini fridge, coffee maker, & microwave. The AC/Heater worked fine and not overly loud. I had access to the elevator. There was parking available for each room. Nice and quiet. I would stay there again.

The A/C heater unit was very loud. It's an old building, and they did their best with what they have. No wifi that they mentioned, the coffee machine was messy, but serviceable. I don’t think I'd stay there again if there were other options around the same price.

Old property that is priced accordingly. Homeless wander the property and the bus station is 1/2 block away, so people are constantly walking by. This is not a bad property, just in a questionable area.

Rooms are somewhat basic. It more than meets my basic needs. A room deposit of around $100 is required. I've always received it back the next day. This is the 4th or 5th time I've stayed there.

Check-in: We paid for five nights upon arrival. They told us that we had no choice but to give them our driver's licenses so they could "xerox a copy for their records". If we refused, we couldn't stay. I requested to make a formal complaint with management. We didn't mind SHOWING I.D. but, I didn't feel comfortable with them copying and keeping our personal info. indefinitely. This place isn't part of a nationally recognized, major motel chain! Room condition: It was EXCEPTIONALLY dismal, dingy, and outdated. The elevator leading up to it was 'sketchy' at best. The walkways were sagging. Amenities: For some strange reason the power dropped off completely on the third day of our stay. The power was restored but, the internet box was completely useless after that. The bed was SO UNCOMFORTABLE that my wife literally slept sitting upright in a chair ALONGSIDE the bed with her head resting on a pillow laying on the edge of the bed. Her back and hips were hurting her SO bad by the third night. I was probably more pissed off about that specific aspect of this nightmare than any other. The parking was 'limited' and very cramped. It was back-to-back with the local fire station parking lot. Finally, this motel isn't staffed AT ALL during key check-out times during earlier morning hours. That's just BEYOND ridiculous! There's much more but, suffice to say that we will never stay in this motel again and can't recommend it. :(

The rooms were clean the staff was friendly they have great climate control for cold nights and hot days very nice amenities and the beds are very comfortable

Everything was good except for the floor not being mopped or swept but when we went back to the office to ask they were right on it. No excuses came in swept and mopped the floor within minutes of letting them know very on top of it. Very professional

The room had a strong chemical/soap smell but my feet were dirty from walking barefoot inside the room. The bed was okay and the ac/heater in the room worked well. The front desk staff were nice. I didn't interact with them outside of check in/check out. If it wasn't for my sensitivity to smells, id stay there again as a cheap option.

These people decided to charge me $115 on top of the $150 deposit because I left dog food in the toilet bowl when I left so they decided to say that it clogged the plumbing to their whole entire facility and had to call a plumber. This was a GEM in the rough. Loved the theme they did. Room was clean and beds were real good. Good location and safe place. CLEAN and staff was awesome. Would stay here again for sure. Stayed 2 nights.

I understand that hotels have taxes & fees (deposit) in case you or you pet trashes the room. I stayed there for one night, with my son and our dog and had to pay a $200 deposit. It is now 6 days later and the money has still not been returned to my bank account. I am pissed and will not be staying at this place again.

We were given the wrong key at check in and tried opening the door to our room with a man in a towel trying to keep us out of his room. Oops. I was told there wasn't enough WIFI for everyone because they have a lot of gamers living there. The kitchenette is a microwave, fridge and empty drawers.

Even though this place has not been updated at all, I found it surprisingly quiet and the staff was vey friendly. Just off the freeway so you can leave town with the 5$ you have left in your pocket. Free parking and my ac worked great. Not a destination hotel, but for the $ I would go back.

Overall this hotel is great. After making reservations my flight got delayed so I called Victorian inn to let them know I was going to exceed the deadline time to check in and the staff was kind enough to go out of there way and wait for an hour and a half on my arrival. Super friendly staff

Nice place with a lot of history it just needs to be renovated

It is in a sketchy neighborhood, so I called Expedia and and I got my money back. However, they charge a ridiculous deposit ($160) that won't be returned to my card for three or four days. I would pay the extra and stay somewhere else. I was very disappointed in the rating on Expedia, which as a woman who travels alone a lot, I have come to trust. They are way off on this one.

We chose The Victorian for its proximity to the Hot August Nights car show in Sparks. The price was the 2nd reason. We booked our 4 night stay through Hotels dot com and earned points with our membership. The property is in severe need of remodeling and updating to make it attractive to visitors. For example, the faux floral stems in the planter boxes can be easily replaced with drought resistant bushes. The furnishings inside our room with king size bed had a 1970s headboard with mdf nightstands and 2 small lamps that were different from the lamps we saw in 2 other rooms. Our lamps were the size and style of those sold in dollar general. "Warm" led light bulbs should also be considered instead of the "daylight" stark white which makes the room have the appeal of morgue lighting. Lastly, one staff caucasian, with long ponytail and black thick framed glasses was performing her housekeeping duties with a cigarette in her mouth/in her hand while bringing sheets and towels into the room, and this should be corrected. Staff can smoke during their breaks rather than smoke while carrying smoke through rooms and that smoke will attach to towels and linens. For the positive side of things, the linens, shower, toilet, faucets, handles, tile floor, refrigerator were all clean and wiped down. The staff, Bonnie, and the night staff gentleman, were helpful and communicative. There was also sufficient parking despite the car show, and the owner reserving spaces for her family.

This is a very cute, small hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and very nice, comfortable bed, nice microwave, fridge, TV and coffee setup. There's an elevator to reach upper floors. We would definitely stay here again.

Bed was so hard it was like sleeping on a plank boards. We did not get the comfortable rest we were seeking. The floors in the room were not swept/cleaned before our arrival. Bathroom floor was covered in black hairs that definitely were not ours. Had to sweep them up the best I could wirh TP and a washcloth, before laying down the bath rug. Yuck! Elevator on the property is also something to be desired, we opted to use the syairs for our 3rd floor room.

First time visit to Reno. I would stay here again. Everyone is super friendly and it’s across from the antique Fire Station. Go check out the cool car.

This property is located in a part of town with lots of homeless people and drug use 24/7. It sits between the Greyhound bus station and several convenience stores; so the foot traffic is constant and mental illness is on display every day. It's also located directly below the departing flight path for Reno Airport; with jets taking off frequently until late in the evening. So, once in the room, you may be too distracted to notice the bugs for a while ... or that walking to dinner probably isn't a good idea.

I enjoyed the look of this hotel, and the decor in the room, it didn't have only the average generic feel to it. The staff was friendly and caring, both towards me and other guests. This was a good value, not a fancy place, and I felt comfortable being there. I would stay again.

There was a weird brown stain on the sheets. Fitted sheet never stayed on. Extremely uncomfortable bed and pillows both looked dirty. I booked because it was about $100 and they had a bath tub. The bath tub was cracked everywhere with some kind of red stains in the cracks. It looked blood red. Shower was also stained. Fan in bathroom is loud and comes on with the light yet the water still stayed so the annoying sound is pointless. I had to sleep with the door blocked and a knife under my pillow.

Very friendly staff. Kind and chatty. We had a little trailer that they told us where to park that was well lit and felt secure. Our room was pet friendly because of our large dog. It was clean, smelled nice with the things needed to get through the night. It is on a quiet road and there were no fires (next door to a fire station). The window AC worked well, was kind of loud but our kiddos sleep with a noise machine. Great stay!

The personal were courteas and helpful.the accomodations were fair but outdted. Overall I give it a 5 out of 10. I would not return.

I was not alerted that Victorian Inn does not check in guests after midnight. I would not have booked the room.

Convenient place to stay for quiet and bus services. Clean rooms and kind employees. Wifi and bathrooms could use an upgrade. Nothing fancy but the rooms are clean.

It was a place to sleep, but none of the furniture matched, the bedding was lumpy, and the lampshades were broken.

Check-in guy had the right level of engagement - not trying to be our friend, but efficient, helpful and professional. Yes, it is an older motel, but on the whole it is clean enough (floor seemed to absorb dirt from outside very easily, and the bathroom sink did have a smell coming from the pipes), and you are going to have to tolerate some less than ideal aspects for the very cheap price. No issues with other tenants (well maybe just a bit of weed wafting in but no-one was noisy or aggressive). It was also a nice, quiet area to stay in, especially if you want to avoid the ick of downtown Reno.

Internet was very weak in the room and I had to go outside to try and get a signal which doesn’t work very well for a computer. It’s OK for the phone. In fact, if the Internet would’ve worked better, we would’ve stayed an additional possibly two or three days however on Monday and Tuesday we need to have reliable strong Internet for various appointments. The air conditioner was good but loud. The shower had a lot of pressure and the water was very hot

Room looks like a grandma's bedroom with miss matched furniture and flower sheets. Beds squeak and feel terrible. There is no tech. Had a real key not a card, a hans written receipt no computer it was all very strange.

It's a throwback to 1980s no Wi-Fi no ice machine you have to go to the office to get ice the office closes at midnight they never told us when it reopened The deposit was higher than most places in Reno there were cobwebs in the corners gnats everywhere spiders flies it just was very buggy The bathrooms were extremely small if it wasn't during summer I would have went somewhere else.

At first glance I was worried about the location and if it would be noisy and dirty but it was cleaner than the last Wyndham I stayed in. Much quieter too. Very conveniently located for the Nugget Event Center, short walk, felt safe even after dark.

Victorian Inn is a small, motel-style hotel will rooms on three floors. The room I had was one of just three rooms on the 3rd floor. If you're looking for clean, my room was better than average. The hotel building is old so very little about it is modern, but the price was right, parking was right in front, and for my purposes its location in Sparks was convenient.

I love that the Inn looks like a castle. The price was good and it is located in a convenient location. But I noticed there were limited parking spaces.The room was comfortable and clean tho it needs a bit of TLC. The bathroom has new accessories but the light fixture and the door were on the older side. Overall it was a good stay.

Shower was dirty as were the floors. Wove around the homeless as I was leaving. I've stayed 3-4 times now, the price was great, but I ended up picking up trash outside--which should not be necessary.

Of course this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel, but it is a very nice budget inn. It checked all our boxes and was very easy check-in and out. Pleasant enough staff and stay. TV didn’t work, coffee maker broken, but those weren’t a big deal. Dogs welcome

Super quiet, very relaxing, this hotel has mini fridge and microwave. Joe was very kind at check in. The room was clean.

Older hotel, but clean and comfortable. Easy access to highway and restaurants.

An older, probably family-run motel that apparently caters to both short and long term renters (had a sign posted about background checks for "weeklies"). Most of the room was in fairly good shape, except for the tub which had a major couple of cracks in the bottom (geez, I hope it wasn't leaking into the room below :-(). Only stayed one night and checked out at 630AM (Office didn't open until 8).

It’s an older place but pretty comfortable. Paid $150 for a $70 room, but it was Saturday night and last minute. Not a lot of parking.

It's a quaint place with a Victorian era theme, but it was obviously built many decades ago with no upgrades. It was well maintained and our room was VERY clean, but the odor of disinfectant (Pine-sol?) was so strong I had to open the room up and turn on the AC to breath. TV had about 3 stations with nothing worth watching and very poor wi-fi connection. Staff was friendly and helpful, but they can only do so much with what they have to work with. For the price, it was acceptable, but I think next time I visit Reno, I'll spend more money on our room.

Location, location, location…

The staff member who checked me in was super nice and welcoming. The room itself was very cozy and well accommodating. It felt like a little segment of a real home. Only complaints were for a tall person, the shower head is annoyingly low, and the tv was stuck in setup mode and I couldn't watch anything. I was only there for one night though so these things weren't big enough of a deal for me to bother anybody about it.

I had a booking through Hotels.com for the Victorian Inn, February 20 through February 23, 2025. I arrived at approximately 5 PM and checked into the hotel. I travel from San Rafael, California to Sparks in order to meet up with a lady friend of mine in Truckee. I arrived at the hotel with just enough time to take a shower and then meet my lady friend in Truckee. The first thing I noticed about the hotel was the bathtub/shower was very dirty when I took a shower. I was able to use some soap and scrub some of it with my foot but it was clearly not cleaned professionally. The second thing I noticed was extremely disturbing. I went to use the toilet, and as I lifted the lid, I noticed there were very small traces of blood around the underside of the toilet seat. I was planning on bringing my lady friend back to the hotel room, and I could not allow her to see such a terrible condition of the bathroom. So like a responsible man, I cleaned the blood from the toilet. I also noticed when I was taking a shower, did the soap dispenser in the shower did not dispense any soap. When I got out of the shower, I tried to dry my hair. But found that the hairdryer did not function.
