    My first thoughts, unfortunately, went to child trafficking. In years of adulting, I have never been asked for my children's IDs. Rooms were average at best. 1 room did not have a remote control. The location is 100% in a sh it part of town with locals living it to full occupancy. Homeless people roaming the property all night. Way too close to road, constant traffic noise. Best thing about the hotel truthfully was leaving it in the rearview mirror.

    Cons: Building is in sad disrepair. The stairs to our 2nd floor room are actually crumbling. The room was non-smoking but smelled of cigarettes, probably because the smoke detector was removed! It is right next to I-80 and very noisy.

    When entering the office to check in, there were 2 other customers and no clerk. Upon entering the room, the lock on the outer door was missing the cover, looked like someone messed with it. The bathroom looked dirty as if it had not been cleaned and floor was dirty. The metal on one of the bed frames was sticking out and not covered. The metal was exposed and this same bed was very noisy and uncomfortable. No coffee or iron in room. Late in the night some of the guest were very loud and rude. We returned around 10 pm and parking lot was full. I would never recommend or stay at this motel 6 ever again. The price was ridiculous for a dump of a motel.

    The area itself was clean unless you touched the wall in the shower. Surprisingly it’s been like nobody used it before and was dusty. They advertise pool amenities but the area was full of beds. Neighbors were loud at 3 am, 10 maybe 12 we can negotiate but partying and up at 3 is a bit excessive. Have some respect. No coffee machine in the room and they refused to serve coffee after 10am.

    Just an FYI a “double queen room” is a single queen bed…. Not sure why but sucks when everyone has to cram into one bed since almost all the hotels were sold out. Check in was delayed by 20 minutes even though other rooms next to ours were empty. The area is super sketchy and dirty. Literally a bag of urine and catheter on the sidewalk. Pool was closed but not advertised as such. I don’t think it has been open in ages as I was the trash area for old nasty mattresses. Room was rough and the floors were filthy. Homeless passed out everywhere and straight up scary people wandering down the road. I hate to be a hater but the day we stayed the company website said rooms were over 300 dollars! The only benefit was the ice machines did work and front office staff were friendly. They were happy to bring us a remote for the tn since it was missing, and the smoke alarm kept beeping even though housekeeping had literally just been in the room. If you can and the prices are not ridiculous stay at the nugget.

    Staff was friendly and accommodating with our pet. Had a dedicated area for them that was fenced off so you could take off leash for potty breaks if desired. Place was in good shape given for its area and felt safe and walked around to nearby stores. Scoopers up Prater Way was very tasty. Was happy for a king size vs queen bed. Only wish was for a mini-fridge to keep drinks cold, re-freeze ice packs for road. One of the better large pet friendly places.

While it serves the basic purpose of a place to sleep, several areas need immediate attention. **Service & Check-In** The first impression was poor. The young woman at the front desk was notably rude; there was no greeting upon arrival, and she remained silent even after I thanked her. A little hospitality goes a long way, and unfortunately, it was non-existent here. **The Room & Amenities** * **Cleanliness:** On the bright side, the bed and linens were clean, which is the bare minimum but appreciated. * **Atmosphere:** The room itself felt dated. There was a heavy, lingering smell of old smoke that made the space feel uninviting. * **Electrical:** This was a major frustration—the outlets are so worn out that they **will not hold a plug**. They are loose and desperately need to be replaced for safety and functionality. * **Climate Control:** The wall AC/heating unit was a highlight; it worked perfectly and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. **Bathroom Quality** The bathroom needs a renovation.     Sheets were freshly washed but were dingy. If these were my sheets at home they would have been donated to a local animal shelter at this point. Due to high demand for rooms in Reno this weekend the nightly rate, $181, was well above what I would expect to pay for a room with minimal amenities, linens that should have been replaced long ago and facilities

    It was surprisingly quiet, given its proximity to a freeway and railway. The beds were pretty comfortable, the check in staff was friendly and helpful, close to downtown Reno. It’s pretty run down and in desperate need of some TLC. The room was clean but definitely old and worn out. Smelled pretty strongly of some kind of fragrance to cover years worth of smoke smell.

    There was someone else’s hair in the tub, there was no plug for the tub or the sink, the toilet was loose and so was the faucet at the sink. The door into the bathroom needed a scrub down. The sheets didn’t fit all the way over the mattress top and were stained (but hopefully clean?). The staff member at the front desk was friendly, though. It was tolerable for a quick overnight stay, but I wouldn’t return here.

    WiFi seemed to be an issue for 2 out of 5 days which had to be resolved with tech contractor during the week. Super Spartan accomodations, no digital clock/alarm, no microwave, no coffee maker, no mini-fridge. Just a bed and a bathroom. No pool access due to cold weather. Parking lot has a deep recess in a couple of areas for flood control so you have to be cateful backing out and moving slow, otherwise its gonna be like a mini-roller coaster that gonna stress out your shocks (and maybe your ribs).

    What got me is the cash deposit. Not everyone carries cash nowadays. The restroom smells like cigarettes even though my room was supposed to be non smoking. Our next door neighbor was smoking outside the balcony which was blowing right towards our room. Not enough towels, no blow dryer and toilet paper was super thin! Never again

    Clean room, everything worked well, but the floor was dirty so wear socks to keep your feet clean. There was some riff raft hanging around outside of the rooms smoking the evil weed and getting loud, but they didn’t bother anyone. The parking area is very well lit. The motel is right smack next to the freeway, so there is traffic noise. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed as a halfway stop of a 2 day drive and it served its purpose.

    Then we got there oldest lobby (I know it’s motel 6) but it reeked of cigarettes everywhere especially our room which I was told was non smoking. Then somewhere in the early morning another random charge which I asked about and he said oh it’s expedia; but the charge came from motel 6 not expedia. Overall super gross place, terrible service so glad I just needed 1 night before I could check into our actual accommodation elsewhere.

    The room smelled like a dirty diaper. The door had been kicked in and had a 1/2 inch gap when it was shut, so you could hear people and smell them smoking. In the room the lighting was poor. The countertop was broken by the sink and there was hair on the shower walls. The paint was broken off on the inside of the bathroom door.

    No refrigerator or microwave, surprise cash deposit so I had to pay an ATM fee for no good reason. Someone knocking loudly at 5am for 20 minutes next door yelling to open the door. Morning employee told me that my complaints were putting her in a bad mood and I need to leave and never come back. Literally the worst hotel experience that didn't involve roaches I've ever had.

    The room was just what we needed, we stayed 6 or 8 nights thru out a couple week period while assisting my terminally ill brother and the staff was excellent the propertys good just a lil worn down from age and needing a face lift just like me approaching 50yrs old 😆 i can say the morning my brother passed the young lady in the office allowed us to check in at 8am and i appreciated that tremendously due to being up all night comforting my brother thru transitioning to his new life in a better place !!

For four people, we were provided only three body towels and one washcloth, and when I asked for an extra towel, I was told we could only get one after bringing down the used ones post-shower. The heater was completely broken, with no button to turn it on due to damage, leaving us cold throughout the stay, especially at night. I had to bring extra blankets from visiting family members. I plan to contact code compliance about the heater. When I voiced my concerns to the front desk and asked for a manager, I was told I was already speaking to him—his name was Palm—and he said there was nothing he could do, advising me to contact hotels.com.

    went to first room and hadda go right back to front desk for a different one, toilet was leaking water and room stunk.. next room i got was neighbors to loud dogs who barked threw the night, washer didnt work took my money although the desk worker fixed after and gave my money back still should be noted. also had forgot my pillow at check out called right after and said i would pick up after i get off work and came to see my pillow in trash. will never stay here again i suggest u dont either.

I finally went in person and one guy told me the maintenance guy should have helped me with my toilet a long time ago because he stays downstairs in the lobby. So I’m guessing the other guys that told me maintenance should be there 9:30AM were lying or lazy or forgot to tell the maintenance guy to maintenance my toilet. One of the guys said he would give me a discount for the trouble admitting they were at fault. And also finally gave me towels. I was finally relieved. After the maintenance guy fixed my toilet. The bathroom floor was left a mess. It Smelled! By the way My discount was 20 DOLLARS OFF MY ENTIRE STAY! 20! I will never stay here again the next time I come. I already reserved with another hotel. There is also a little gated area where you can bring your dog and let them off leash to do their "business." The maintenance person keeps it clean, and must clean the area at least three times daily because whenever I brought my dogs there was no evidence of any earlier "deposits " they made. The staff was friendly and very helpful whenever problems or challenges arose. It wasn't the cleanest place I stayed at, but it was definitely not the dirtiest...I didn't have any feelings about sleeping in the bed or taking a shower. Very pleasant!

    We were staying there for work, up at 3 am, asleep by 8 pm. On ground floor, easy freeway access. All was good until a family with small children was put above us. They ran and jumped back and forth all evening til 9:30 or later. It was stated at check in we were there for work!

    The staff was helpful and polite. The room was very clean. The A/C and heat worked great. Nice large tv with working remote. Plenty of hot water while showering. The ONLY complaint I have is with the dog walking area. It's an unmainted dirt area with lots of broken glass, weeds, stickers and dog poop which inconsiderate owners don't pick up. They need to invest in a decent dog area because most of their customers have dogs.

    I'll start with the positives. The HVAC unit worked well, the beds were comfortable, and the microwave and fridge worked. Now the negatives. Only 1 of the four reading lights on the bedposts worked. The one end table was broken. The fridge door would only open halfway before becoming stuck on the floor. The water in the shower was barely warm, never got hot. The towels were rough as sandpaper. The tap in the sink had to be turned on very slowly, otherwise it would spray water everywhere. There were no tissues and barely enough toilet paper. The toilet paper was single-ply, narrow gas station bathroom quality. The stairs were steep, cracked, and worn down and the 2nd floor walkway was narrow and rickety. There wasn't enough parking, and what was available was very cramped and tight spaces. We saw a guest openly, casually, smoking crack outside his room door. We've used Motel 6 my entire life but, in the last few years, each one we've stayed in has been progressively more run-down. It's a shame. It used to be a decent chain that's always been affordable. But I'm not sure we'll be using them anymore going forward.

    The only thing I liked about this place was the distance from my ultimate destination. The heater didn't work just blew cold air, the water sputtered everywhere_the ROOM was the most disgusting filthy vile place- quickly to learn is consistent room by room as other guest rooms are just as disgusting and filthy. ! I went there with my dog and had the decency to pick up after him including my room which I had to go buy cleaning supplies for to clean to even be able to continue staying there. And let's make one thing very clear, because a person has to pay budget prices, and lodge at budget lodging, does not in any way shape or form give any acceptable excuse for a motel/hotel/holiday Inn to be filthy to begin with!! I don't know where that rhetoric began or why, but I know many, truly amazing decent poor people that enjoy taking their families on vacation but do it on a low-income budget- why shouldn't WE, at the very least,3xp ect to have a clean room, clean bathroom an bedding is literally the least we are asking for by staying at a budget friendly just because we can't afford a 4 or 5 star place!!     Outside- did not seem sketch at all. We arrived very late and the outside seemed fine. Small parking lot, and no overflow so that would be my only concern there. Check in- easy peasy and nice gentleman working the desk Room- it’s old, outdated, bathroom door didn’t shut right and the entire room had an overwhelming smell of pot. The bulk of the smell came from the bathroom. Even come morning it had no dissipated at all, so not sure where it was coming from, maybe the vents? I usually wouldn’t care but we had our 17month old with us. I didn’t bother to change rooms because it was 1am and we just needed sleep. I did call the front desk to let them know, mainly so that we wouldn’t be billed for smoking in the room. Bed was comfortable Water pressure in shower was 9/10. Would I stay here again, probably not, but also would feel comfortable staying again if my kid wasn’t with me.

    Anyway, this motel 6 in sparks, by the airport, has the friendliest staff, very clean rooms, pet friendly, and a nice place to stay. I won't stay anywhere else if I can help it. We are always treated with kindness and a smile. No where else will treat you and your pets with such patience and respect. I appreciate the people that work here so much.     It is a budget motel so I don't expect luxury rooms. Everything in the room functioned as it should. It was quiet so I was able to sleep which is why I was there. I can bring the dog so I did not have to board her. The property itself on the outside had trash strewn about and broken appliances and furniture dumped at the perimeter.

    Front office gentleman was courteous & very efficient. If you are a light sleeper, there is all night freeway noise. Bring your earbuds. Room was clean & comfortable bed

    The staff is amazing and friendly, the rooms are all newly remodeled, there have been a lot of upgrades done in the rooms and outside. The homeless people are the cause of all the trash around the outside of the property. The motel property just needs more parking. I do highly recommend staying here, I have returned to this property many times, and will continue to stay here when I need a place to stay.

    Maids were non existent, did not tidy the room on any day. I think the pictures of the hotel interior were poached off the internet, the rooms did not look like that at all. Horrible experience. Do not stay here or give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Tom Bodet used to say “We’ll leave the light on for you”, I would say “don’t bother”. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at, not to mention the homeless, people hanging out all over the property. Disgusting.

    On your website, you said it had a pool. The reason for choosing that hotel. Desk clerk said the pool hasn't been functioning for years. Couldn't find another place to stay so we had to stay no choice. Over a hundred degree weather.

    Our room was filthy. My partner even got but by some sort of bug in the bed, it smelled terrible, the bathroom was nasty. We had to wait to get checked in cause no one was actively in the lobby waiting on guests. Wont be staying here again.

    no refer, no breakfast, no shampoo/cond, no outlet near bed, little in vending machines, noisy ac, bare bones, but cheap cost. tiny soap bars(2) , rocky ground in back of parking lanes...unsafe is backed in and poor access to trunk, Just very basic amenities. long stays rooms serviced every three days.

    I should’ve known by the guy outside, sitting on the bench, smoking cigarettes, and drinking beer as I arrived. I had to let them know that there was food on the ground and hair in the bed. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. They would not give me another room. Also they called me at 10:30 PM while we were sleeping to tell me I was in the check-in only parking spot which was not true. They had a sign in front of the spot that was for check-in. He said I’ll put another sign up tomorrow where I’m parked, but I need to move to park down around the corner, which was very unsafe. I get up in the morning and somebody is parked in that exact spot for the night wheels were disgustingly, dirty, and smelled of smoke.

    The staff at Motel six go over there way to make your stay the best one possible always at your beck and call and very respectful. I highly recommend this Motel.

    It’s exactly what you would expect, we had a small snafu where they had our keys work for two rooms right next to each other. So we ended up in the wrong room by accident, and were greeted by the people actually staying in that room as they opened the door. Our keys worked for BOTH our room and their room but that staff tried to blame us for going to the wrong room? Kind of strange. Customer service was mediocre but it was a motel 6.

    Wreaked of smoke even in the “smoke free” room. Cigarettes thrown all over the place. The top part of the toilet didn’t even have a proper cover that fits. They just sat one from a different toilet on top of it. Flush sucks. Our toilet ended up clogged and they gave us a plunger to fix it ourselves…

    Room was “barebones” but seemed clean-until I got into bed and pillow had two dried green buggers on it. 😡Floors are vinyl and maybe cleaner than carpet- but annoying to walk on floor without carpet. Office staff were very nice and helpful though and accommodated me with a ground floor room.

    My room wasn't dirty per se, but they definitely lack attention to detail. The floor was kinda nasty and I found hair everywhere - on the floor, on the towels, and in the shower. There's a lot of road noise, which usually wouldn't be a big deal, but there's gaps around the door and an overall lack of soundproofing. I saw someone mention they updated the motel. Well, the "update" was nothing more than some paint and LVP flooring. The building itself is pretty run down. Oh, and the pool was closed :( Overall, one of the worst experiences I've had at a motel.

    2. The room which is labeled non smoking smelled like cigarettes. I would say, "well what do you expect staying at a motel 6?" Well motel 6s arent as cheap as they used to be and for some of the conditions/inconveniences you shouldnt have to pay $150 plus a night for it

    Pool was closed. Vending machines didn’t work 95% of the time. Booked for the pool and bath tub / pool. Bath tub needed to be snaked. No plug to take a bath. Room was a non smoking room. Smelled like must, mold and cigarettes. Cigarette burns everywhere. Stains on the bed. Horrible place to go. We didn’t have a do not disturb sign. We made our own. House keeping still knocked. We denied the housekeeping but asked for towels. We never got them.

    this property was avg furniture inside of room was a bit dated.. the room I was in too close to traffic noise , motorcycles Harleys.residents left their dogs in rooms daily unattended so they constantly barked the whole time couldn't sleep

    The male employees I interacted with were extremely kind, friendly, and helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, the one female employee I spoke with came across as rude, which was disappointing. Additionally, there were two unattended dogs in the room next to mine barked continuously from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., making it difficult to relax during my stay.

    This property is dirty, hair on the towels and bedsheets, cigarette burns on the desk, bathtub and toilet seat when it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, the room smelled like smoke, the bathtub did not drain and water filled up when you took a shower and there is trash all over the grounds outside. The property is also not secure and there are a lot of homeless around the vicinity. Pictures on hotel.com do not look like the actual motel.

    The beds were nice. Front desk was nice. They require a cash deposit of 60 for your dogs. First time I’ve ever encountered that from a motel 6. The surrounding area was trash city. Garbage every where but technically city property according to the signs. What wasn’t city property was the dog area and it was nasty!!! The trash receptacle was over flowing with dog crap!!!

    A basic place to sleep, clean enough, a/c works and blocks just enough traffic noise to sleep. Lock doors, direct and quick between vehicle and room, head on a swivel. Shady people lurking around, just not the nicest place in town.

    Do NOT stay here! We booked 3 non-smoking rooms. All 3 smelled and “tasted” like an ash tray. Multiple family members couldn’t even breathe in the rooms. We had to leave and book over rooms. Manager not willing to refund. There were also transients and guys doing drugs in the parking lot. THIS HOTEL IS NOT SAFE AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

    Refrigerator didn’t work, reading light by the bed didn’t work, shower was so dirty I wouldn’t shower, ice machine broken, vending machines not working. Evening Front desk guy was very nice and helpful. Morning guy took notes for the boss. Bottom line, don’t waste your money!

    The rooms are very clean. Housekeeping does a great job. Be cautious of the room you choose as they all do not have a refrigerator and microwave, however, there are two big ice machines that work great. Washer and dryer prices are very good.

    This place was disgusting you would have thought this place was free, I can’t believe I paid 260 for 2 nights, I will upload only a few pictures of how nasty this dump is. I have never took a shower and still felt dirty before. The wood was rotten, door knob was coming off, smelled like urine and mold, my chest hurts after staying here, might have to go get checked out. I felt bad that I had a son there as well. You should not have to pay an arm and a leg and not feel comfortable even remotely. I knew I wasn’t staying at the Hilton but cmon me and my son had new socks on and in 5 mins they where black, it’s evident whoever owns this place should be ashamed or themselves. The manager a male in his 40s denied all my claims and treated me horrible for bringing this up. Mind you there was a basketball convention in town and every hotel room was sold out…. I ultimately was trapped. What was advertised was not was reality.

    Sits right up against one of the noisiest interstate highway on-ramps in all of Reno/Sparks. You'll have to be exhausted to sleep through the night... "extremely tired" is not going to be enough. No fridge or microwave but there's a microwave in the lobby, if you must. Nice staff. Plenty of hot water. Bring your noise canceling headphones.
