Okay place to stay

The room was not ready due to some nasty guests in some of the other rooms. The water was hot, the sheets were clean.The mattress was lumpy and the towels were thin. All and all this hotel is in need of a remodel both physically and staff training. It is close to Reno Airport.

It is a very old property. Everything has poor quality. The front desk staff old lady was nice and helpful. Other than that, if you crash for a night or two, it would be fine, but for 3-5 days stay, I would not recommend it.

The bathroom tile grout was very dirty and hair was sitting on the drain. The tv / satellite was awful. It would lock up during a show and either would not come back on without backing out completely or it would take a long time. The staff changed out the towels, but did not refill the coffee. Very nice staff

Wi-Fi is useless, rooms are old and need to be remodeled. Everything is severely outdated.

Beds are horrible. Traveling all day and not sleeping well because of the beds ia not what I would expect. Will not stay there again

Being from out of state, was welcomed and given hospitality as soon as we entered the door. The place was clean and exactly what we needed for the price. Breakfast was decent and the coffee strong. However, the remote control did not work so no TV was available for the night, until the morning when staff reprogrammed it cheerfully.. Affordability not luxury was the main reason for the stay, and the outdoor swimming pool as well.

We loved the big, spacious room. Nice TV but the sofa could sure use a replacement. A nice sofa with a fold out mattress would make all the difference. Not many breakfast options. It’s definitely a bit old and run down. But worked well for us as a stop on a road trip.

Bed had sharp metal sticking out so when u sat on end of bed it cut the back of my heel. I went to get a bandage from from desk so I didn’t get blood on sheets. He came to take pictures he was very nice. He then came back up and said the manager will comp our room but have not seen refund 6 days later sent a message to manager and it’s crickets!!

The room itself was reasonably nice, clean and comfortable. Bedding and bathroom was clean. The staff was friendly. The room was too dim with not enough lighting, but I find this to be the case in most hotel rooms so I am probably not a fair judge on this subject. Breakfast was lame! Slim selection, the best option being a pre-made breakfast sandwich which was undersupplied and therefore often not available, even very early in the morning. Coffee was also much too weak. It was obvious this hotel was cutting corners concerning the breakfast. Swimming pool was closed, the staff telling me it was a "permit issue". The television was also very poor, with lousy reception for local channels.

Staff was curtious . Realtively quiet good that it was a dog friendly place as I had my 2 chihuhas. Older property could benefit from carpeting in rooms & building & mattresses upgrades.. Easy access to I -80 .

Donna was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond what she had to. Breakfast wes basic but still filling. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping staff was also accommodating. It was a wonderful stay. The view is stunning. I recommend staying here. Just know they don't have a card reader and there is a $100 deposit that isn't shown when booking online.

I am a disabled Senior and I booked a disabled room. But I got switched from the queen size disabled room to a king-size room, which meant I had to cut my trip short because I couldn't use a shower.

Room looked like there had been a fight that wasn’t cleaned up. The bathroom door had the wood splintered in. Blood stains(?) on the carpet, bedsheet.

Probably isolated incident but closing our door took a lot of effort. I think the hinges were bent. Front desk knew about it but we dealt with it all week

Was given a queen bed that sagged terribly on both sides. Needs to be replaced. The rest of room and amenities were normal.

The breakfast was minimal. No waffles. fruit, eggs, or potatoes. Just a few bagels. coffee, and juice. The parking lot was full of cut weeds that were never picked up. The room was comfortable and the staff was accommodating,

The receptionist went above and beyond to assist us. We had booked but the reservation was cancelled by the app.

The photos on Expedia look great. The actual property is horrid! The landscaping is all overgrown, dead and completely covered with feces. The 1st floor back hallway entrance is not secure, anyone can enter there as the lock and key entry are broken. The carpets are filthy. The curtains in our room were so old they were shredding. The bathroom was gross, there is a plunger next to the toilet because it does not flush and needs to be plunged! The beds are broken down, worn out! The ice machine in the lobby had a pile of towels under it catching the leaking water. VERY sketchy location with questionable characters hanging out outside. I booked for 2 nites but checked out at 7:30 am the next morning because it was just such a trashy hotel. I still have not gotten a refund for the 2nd nite. The only saving grace was the people who worked there were very nice people, not their fault they gave to work in a dump!

This place DOES NOT look like the pictures. The decor is the same, but it is dingy. The room seemed dirty with dirt in the corners of the bathroom and the carpet in the room looked dirty. The area is not nice as there was talk about the “fentanyl fairies” in the parking lot.

TV could not hold signal. Kept losing signal. Called maintenance, and they said it was the cable company. Guests next door were loud at night. Could not sleep. Was disgusted with the whole experience.

Check in was quick, our non smoking room smelled terrible and yiu could tell that the person before us smoked and popped out the screen on thr window to try and mask it. When I told the front desk they were aware of it so we wouldn't be charged for making the room smell, but we kepted the window open 99% of the time we were there. Glad we were on the the 3rd floor so we could leave it open.

Breakfast was ok, ran out of sausage sandwiches, didbt have much to choose from. Our room smelled like smoke(cigarettes). Wasnt happy about that. We were put into a handicapped room, in the smoking section because we had two small dogs, then the bed didnt have a blanket on it at all.

It was a horrible ex dirty all over inside and out. Terrible beds rock hard broken mattress shower rod broken mold in shower and floors. Toilet is made for a toddler to low to the floor. Tv channels bad very static barley came in. Breakfast is a joke . Workers are unprofessional dress inappropriate and ex lazy. No people skills

We always enjoy staying here, especially because of the friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the complimentary continental breakfast is a nice bonus. Great location too, we look forward to coming back!

This place truly lives up to its name! The breakfast selection was AMAZING for a hotel of this size and price! This place is a hidden gem in Reno! I do wish it’ll expand bigger and have more locations! The staffs here were all so kind and accommodating, and so lovely! Their communication with us was great! Hotel was in a safe area and there are a lot of free parking on their lot.

We just needed an overnight stay and this was the least expensive option at booking due to major functions happening in Reno. Walking up to the hotel the stucco is peeling so it didn't seem to promising. The gal who checked us in was the only staff we spoke to and she was nice and helpful. The room could use some TLC. The vent in the bathroom didn't have a switch so it steamed up horribly, even with the door open. Toilet was set so low it really required thigh strength to stand back up. Room only had one nightstand lamp even though there were 2 nightstands. The only other light was a lamp on the desk. They do provide a very basic breakfast which wasn't too bad. Cereal, oatmeal, breakfast biscuit (sausage and egg), sugar free yogurt, milk, coffee and some juices. Would I stay here again - probably not, unless it was my only option.

My toothbrush got stuck in the vending machine, and I had to buy another one.

I had trouble with a breakfast sandwich. Very unpleasant. Talked with hotel manager. Very responsive and professional. Was going to contact their 3-party provider and refunded my night stay. I would stay again. Very impressed with manager.

Room was very clean. Some damage to a wall that could be fixed. Bed is comfortable. Room has a mini fridge and microwave. A coffee maker, but no tea. Room was touched up each day, which is nice. They had no problem with my dog, who is the most friendly guy there is. I will be back for all my trips in Reno. Great location, too, for me.

The entire lobby smelled like cigarettes and weed. The front desk attendant was dirty and we couldn't understand anything she was saying. Our rooms were horrid. If we hadn't been so absolutely exhausted from driving all day from states away we would have left. There was old food in one of the rooms fridge, dust on everything, blood stains on the shower curtain, mold in both bathrooms and both rooms smelled like cigarettes even tho the property said it was smoke free. We slept in our clothes and left as soon as we woke up because it was so bad. Management needs to over see more and if they are over looking these issues then the owner needs notified.

every aspect of our stay was 5 star. we couldn’t have asked for better service and accommodation. the room was no frills-basic, but certainly suitable for our needs and taste. we highly recommend Americas Best Value Inn.

The traffic jam (bumper to bumper) in the morning. Lots of big rigs as well as people trying to get to work. The hotel is perfect if you don’t need to leave before 10:30 AM.

Located just a short drive from Reno, it offers a perfectly quiet atmosphere at a very reasonable price. We did not receive the room we booked. We booked a king suite with a hot tub and were instead given the suite with two double beds. The night clerk was busy bottle feeding a puppy and did not bother to tell us. Wenot given the room that we picked.

We got in late and reservation was paid for in advance so we checked in hoping to give this run down hotel a chance. Would emphatically not recommend staying here.

The woman at the front desk that checked us in was so sweet and helpful. The room was spacious and was clean except for the coach. There was glitter and transparent white stains on the coach. Other than the coach but bathroom was clean and stocked with lots of towels and the beds were good. Very little light in the room. Two ceiling lights were out. When we checked in we informed the front desk woman that we would be checking out late if possible. For $50 we could check out at 2 and we were happy. However communication must have not been relayed to the housekeeping. Housekeeping argued with us about late check out at 11 and then again at 12. We told her we paid for late check out and she got upset and said she was going to talk to the front desk. The whole point for us to do late check out was so we could sleep in after a long New Year’s Eve night and the argumentative housekeeping kept interrupting our rest. Also note we did have the do not disturb sign up. For the right price we might stay again.

No housekeeping for 3 night, no iron or board in room as advertised. No fitness room yet hotels.com stated free passes to local gym they knew nothing about. I asked for a room on top floor yet got ground floor I think cause elevator was broken? Noisy and old with nothing close by. Won’t stay there again only plus was it was cheap!

We love staying here and our dog feels at home there. It is our go to when we need a place that allows dogs. The staff is always helpful and very pleasant.

The room was cold, and the heater was apparently disconnected. Only one thin blanket on the bed. Was cold all night, even wearing my warmest jacket to bed. The restaurant mentioned in ads for hotel was closed, apparently permanently. Looks like the bean counters are scraping all quality out of the hotel. The staff was overextended, but as helpful as they could be under the circumstances. They are definitely underpaid for all the extra work they are trying to do. Their service was excellent, there just wasn't anything they could do in this situation.

Rooms were nasty! First room was dirty, never cleaned! Second room smelled like cigarette smoke (even though they claimed all rooms were non smoking). Third room was better, but the carpet and the velour couch were nasty! That room gave us the ick! We could not leave the hotel because we had no where to stay (long travel), it was super late and we were already charged. The mattress was very springy even with the thin sheets. Do not waste your money or time.

I have stayed here twice and the first time was nice. But the second time the bathroom had not been finished cleaning. The toilet lid and seat were very sticky and I had to wash them immediately. The sink had hair in it, and the shower curtain was flipped up over the rod.

I loved the hospitality of the employee's, everyone was very friendly. What i didnt like, was the horrible way the place smelled, it was aweful. I had to spray my room. The carpets needed help, they were bad, i didnt want to walk on it with my bare feet. Its cheaper then most, i guess you get what you pay for?

We arrived from Portland, it was a 10 hour drive. It was 8:45 when I walked into check into the room, but nobody was there. I seen a sign that said they’ll be back in 30. So odd because I’ve never seen a sign like that except to ring the bell when needing assistance. I stood there waiting for 5 mins before leaving to get dinner. The sign never said when they’d actually be back so we guessed after getting food down the road they’ll be back. We spent time driving to different fast food joints because it was a busy weekend so everywhere was busy. By the time we returned it was 30 mins later at 9:15pm. Nobody was still there, I told my mom so she got out walking around looking. She tapped on the counter, we called the front desk a couple times, knocked on nearby doors (not hotel rooms) and nothing. My mom found the button to ring the doorbell

Property was nice and the room was clean. Considering all the stuff going on there, the lady at the front desk was really nice.The mattress was a little uncomfortable but not unbearable. The elevator was out of service and people were trapped in it, so we had to use the stairs as they were out of rooms on the ground floor.

It was cheap and affordable . Booked it because it had “breakfast” but honey. Save your money and time I saw a rat trap in the lobby. Breakfast consisted of muffins and yogurt no begals no cereal no pancakes eggs none of that. The bathrooms were dirty and smelled like sewage. But the staff were very kind even at the casino but even that casino sucked

Enjoyed the room it was more than we expected. Already planning next years trip. Hope the same size room is available.

Great hotel but have to drive a few miles to get foods. Located in the industrial area. Bed somewhat comfy. Room spacious, look nice, clean, but needs more lighting a bit dark for me.

The pictures were incredibly misleading! In the pictures the room looks clean and new. Our room was dirty everywhere. Hair and dirt in the shower, sink, counters, lamps, floor and carpet not vacuumed. The building was old and run down. Would never have stayed there if the pictures looked accurate! Toilet seat also falling off.

The stay was okay. We had issues with our bed. The head of the bed was lowee than our feet. Sitting on the bed was terrible at the head we kept sinking as we sat to try and watch tv in bed

Nice enough for a quick rest

It was next to a truck stop but never heard trucks. The AC was good at keeping the room cool but it was loud on High. The front staff was very friendly and helpful with getting DoorDash delivered

Identified as a non smoking room It was not. Nicotine buildup on ac unit and bathroom exhaust. Bathroom was dirty. Tub had 10+ hairs. Drain ring was pink and not clean. Outside of tub was dirty with heavy buildup of grime and dust. We did not use the shower

Very run down. Breakfast is a joke. Remotes did not work. A comment made by a child this is not America’s best.

There was dirt and filth under the bed a couple of dirty socks from some other person that stayed there. The shower curtain leaked water, terribly, forcing us to use towels to stop up the water. The next day. There was no main service to replace the towels in spite of the hanging tag request requesting made service. The breakfast was minimal but adequate. We had to go downstairs to get towels to replace the soft wet ones all in all, the bed was comfortable the sheets seem to be clean. I don’t think the floor had been vacuumed in quite a while.

It was very clean and quiet and the staff was amazing!

I was not impressed as the cost was not that much lower than the price of others that were of a higher quality. I did not like the location of the motel and considered even going elsewhere since I could not get a refund if I canceled.

Not as expected

Woke up to bugs biting us. Found little black beetles, small moths and who knows what else. Bed was su nk in on both sides. Dog hairs thick on carpet outside of the room doors. My eyes itch now. Coffe, yogurt and stale bagels was the breakfast. No hot water if you wanted tea or hot chocolate. Will stay away from this line of motels!

So glad we stayed here. Every staff member mornings and night was so amazing and nice. Clean and quiet! I’m very hesitant to stay at many places but this place we great. Breakfast was simple and the pool was open. Our family of four will definitely be booking for next time.

Good, spacious room. Nothing special, nothing bad. Little bit untidy room but not so much. Laundryroom in different building, there is also casino. Parking was easy and it was free.

Other than that, it was a nice day. I like the property and location.

The staff in charge of cleaning rooms did an outstanding job. Sometimes the staff in charge of the front desk were absent causing a person having to wait for quite awhile before getting assistance, however, they were helpful when present.

One elevator for the very long hotel other then that good stuff

The facility and cleanliness was decent. The second bed frame in our room was blocky, sharp, exposed metal and will certainly cause an injury lawsuit at some point though.

food at restaurant inconsonant with quality and short staff to a point where wait time and service also inconsonant. never know what to expect when eating their. what the motel offers for breakfast is should not be considered a continental breakfest

Mattress super old and way to soft

From the person in the room next to me slamming their door repeatedly and then I could hear their tv over my own made it hard to get any sleep. And then having a baby screaming numerous times in the hallway was incredibly annoying. Also the staff needs to check behind the furniture as I found food behind the table next to my bed. Yuck!

Pool was not opened

Hotel lobby smelled of weed, walls in room thin, mattress was uncomfortable, vacuuming in the middle of the night in lobby, dog poop all over grassy areas

Central location to main highways.

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I feel completely misled by the positive reviews that some people have left on here & think that it's likely those have been solicited. Dirty floors, the countertops looked like they hadn't been wiped down in weeks, the coffee maker was covered in dust, the curtains were torn & didn't cover the window all the way. The bathroom was filthy- a dirty plunger was left to the side of the toilet, and you could tell they didn't clean the floor. The shower head sprayed in all different directions. There were homeless people sleeping in the parking lot & there is no one at the front desk consistently to take care of things. Very loud at night. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

The Hotel was better than expected. We needed 3 rooms for one night and didn't want to pay a $1,000. So we went for Americas Best Value. The rooms were cleaner than expected, we had a room without carpet. The beds are soft, a bit too soft, and the walls are thin, especially the floors, we could hear the people above us walking around, even with ear plugs... but other than that it was good. Would come again

Easy access from the freeway, quiet and clean !

Had to get my keys reactivated at least 3 times a da. Which meant i had to wait at a desk where staff was at for only half the time. So the other half i would wait 5 to 10 minutes quite often. Also out of 4 days housekeeping cleaned my room once. And that wasnt my choice. They just didn't show up

Our room was clean and simple, great value for the money. There was a small breakfast (bagels and oatmeal). The staff was nice and helpful. The area is about 15 minutes outside of Reno.

Stayed here over the weekend to visit my girlfriend. First thing I noticed was that the hotel lobby reeked of cigarettes despite it saying no smoking. Going to our room the shower was a little gross. My girlfriend refused to shower in it and instead opted to go shower back at her dorm. The door for our room would shock you whenever you touched the handle or used the keycard on the keycard scanner and it was a pretty decent shock. Although it’s April I still believed that possibly I’d be able to go swimming but nope. The pool was closed which sucked but oh well. My biggest complaint about this place was just the lack of noise suppression. I don’t know if we just had loud neighbors or what but you could hear everything; moreover, we heard people across the hall constantly despite the fact that they were talking at a normal level. Also, the hotel allows for animals which normally isn’t an issue but for some reason someone’s bloodhound wouldn’t stop howling from around noon until 1am. It was brutal. Not the greatest of experiences but it could be worse. It’s probably just be better for others to just spend a little more to get something a little nicer.

It’s very old, we had 2 beds and the one I slept on had a broken frame so the mattress sagged where it was broken.We turned the whole frame around so at least it didn’t sag where I slept.

Staff was friendly courteous and polite. Will stay here again for next years Amway convention

Good value and great stay we had here. The complimentary breakfast was lovely, the parking lot had lots of parking. We were near a great shopping center, and the room was nice and spacious with a mini fridge and microwave!

The breakfast was definitely a continental breakfast. We would have liked a cereal option but it fed us.

They didnt clean room between nights. We had to go up front and get towels for the second morning. The beds were not comfortable. The water is shower wasnt very warm and the shower head didnt spray right.
