This property is super clean. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The staff was pleasant and the shuttle to the airport in the morning came right on time. I will stay here next time I'm in San Francisco for sure

The hotel sits at the end of the bay. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is not included and costs extra. The website highlights the hotel’s “good breakfast,” which gave me the impression that it was included with the stay. While the breakfast may be good, the description was a bit misleading since there was no clear indication that it came at an additional cost.

Location is peaceful on the water with nice walking trails, in spite of being so close to a freeway. Staff is very helpful. Restaurant choices nearby could have been better and closer as we had no car. They were several blocks away, and adequate for fast food.

This property is very conveniently located, you’re close to any highway you need to get in or out of the city without all the traffic. Beds are comfortable and staff is very helpful and friendly. They have connecting rooms if needed and also accommodate you if you need over night parking. Great property management and services. I’ve stayed here a number of times and for the price per night it delivers well over expectations. I’ll be seeing you guys again soon, thank you!

My room was hot 80 degrees, AC was not working, called front desk to report it. when we were on our way out the room, the maintenance guy got there, he said he will fix it and our room should be cooler when we return. We got back to the room a little after 10pm and room was still 78 degrees. Called front desk and they stated will send maintenance guy again. 20 mins later, called front desk again as I wanted to go to bed and maintenance guy was still not there. They didn’t offer me another room until I asked, They moved me to another room at around 11pm. The next day two different house keepers knocked on the door asking me when I was checking out and when I explained that we were staying until the next day, they rudely asked me to go talk to someone at the front desk to clear things up. It should be noted that prior to that, I returned to my room after a hike and my key had been deactivated, I had contact with someone at the front desk, I explained what had happened the night before but she was dismissive, didn’t apologize for the inconvenience, and manually reactivated the door keys. Obviously, she didn’t take the time to fix anything in their computer which is the reason I was later harassed by the housekeepers, very disappointed with the way things were handled.

When we arrive one of the rooms was dusty with crumbs on the of the tables bathroomwas not clean, the other room I pull the duvet but the sheets on the bottom look wrinkle like some one sleep there and they closed the bedding so it makes me think if they do clean the sheets on every booking, overall is a convenient hotel but is just needs a few adjustments

The view was nice, and it's a little hidden but peaceful. The bed was comfortable, I can't complain for a one-night stay. Overall, it's safe, quiet, and the bed was comfortable.

Location of the hotel was very nice The room we were given was probably the worst in the place—some rooms would have been awesome, I imagine, like the ones facing the water. Our room we were told was an “upgrade”. On the second floor facing the freeway, train tracks, parking lot. The balcony overlooked a dirty concrete platform with air filter and trash on it. I think they gave us their worst room because we booked through a “ third party” as they called it.

It was an ok stay due to the people above us! Every morning I had to call the front desk between 5:15 am and 6:30am and ask them to call them to ask them to please be quiet and quit jumping and bouncing off the floor. I also didn't like the fact that we had to pay $15 for parking a day when I called prior to our stay to ask if there were any other fees that had to be paid and I was only told about the $100 deposit! I think that it's crazy that we had to pay $15 for parking when we already had to pay over $700 bucks for the hotel stay. This is Flat out ridiculous and on top of that we park in the Handicap which is supposed to be free!

Location was wonderful, right on the bay and right on the bay trail. Watched the birds in the tree rightoutside our window. Walking distance to a few restaurants, but we drove for 2 meals. In the flight path for SFO so the morning after 6:30 was noisy from airplanes taking off and from CalTrain. Room window was right over the smoking area in the courtyard and we had to keep the window open because the heating/cooling had a glitch so at one point we could smell smoke even on the 4th floor. Could not get decaf coffee for the room at night.

This hotel is tuck away at a cove around many office buildings. Therefore, outside of business hours, the surrounding area is quiet and feel safe but please be aware that the wind can get gusty in the parking lot. There is not much nearby, so you get some quietness other than the occasional Caltrain passing by and some freeway noise. Also, it's right off Highway 101 and shops and restaurants near El Camino Real is only a short drive away from the hotel. I believe the hotel does provide breakfast to go at a cost but I did not partake in that.

I prepaid my room to guarantee my stay and when I arrived to check in I was given a different room type because they were booked. If I booked a room with a sofa bed then I expect to get a room with a sofa bed. My daughter had to sleep on the floor because I didn’t get the room I had booked and paid for.

We booked it because we needed an airport shuttle. The shuttle stopped running at 11:30pm so we had to pay a taxi $30 to take us there. The room was very clean. Not real big, but big enough to move around. Great pillows and the bed was comfortable. Next morning I took a shower and it was okay. Then my husband went to take his shower and no hot water. In the meantime, I couldn't find the hair dryer. I called the front desk. She said she would notify housekeeping. 20 minutes later I called back and she said I already left a message for housekeeping. Had to go and never got the hair dryer. Had a bagel and cinnamon roll for breakfast. ($13) They heated it, but not enough to even get the middle warm. Shuttle back to the airport was right on time. It's a 3rd party shuttle so there was already people on it when it arrived. We were still able to get a seat.

I’ve stayed here quite a few times. The staff is super friendly, and Kimberly was extremely nice and very helpful. I’ll be their guest again in a week, and this will always be my hotel of choice in the SFO area.

Checked in early thanks to the amazing Alina but 3 rooms later I was not happy. 2 rooms we walked into were dirty and the third room offered was clean but had no view and no patio. Breakfast was not served because the kitchen was closed all we could get was a muffin and no decaf coffee which to some people decaf would and should be an option

No restaurant for dinner. Staff at breakfast restaurant never acknowledged me anfter 10 minutes and provided no service. Front desk staff very nice.

We were in the area for the night for some medical appointments and decided to stay here instead of downtown SF. We were very happy with our stay. The hotel was clean the rooms were quiet and spacious and the hotel staff was so incredibly friendly. My only reasons for giving it a 4 star instead of 5 is that the pillows in the rooms were incredibly uncomfortable. Almost non existent with the way they deflated when you laid down. Also the coffee was not good at all. They advertise Starbucks coffee and you definitely pay Starbucks at a hotel price but both drinks ended up in the garbage.

This could have been an easy fix if property was managed properly. Front desk staff were 2 stars. Not very friendly and motivated- very transactional. Completely understandable for a 2-star hotel.

I booked a wrong date and they would not refund my money I simply asked to rebook and transfer my funds to that day. They wouldn’t do it nor would they give me a rebate or a lower price. It’s like they took my money in it and that’s it. I will never book with them again.

Computer was down for maintenance when I arrived so I got a slightly worn first floor “accessible” room (apparently booked at random before system shut down)…ramifications included not being charged for fast food from lobby ministore, no restaurant service (or maybe that’s standard on a Sunday night?), and cash only coffee in AM (again the kind staff just gave it to me for free). But ok bed for one night and reliable shuttle service!

The room accommodates exactly to the description on the website. It’s very clean and ready to be enjoyed by the time you check in. Check in was a breeze, thanks to their helpful staff. Kimberly at the front desk was very kind and very attentive to all my needs. There’s lots of parking if you have your personal vehicle or a rental. Easy on and off access to the freeway/highway to get to and from the city. Excellent stay, definitely recommend staying here.

We loved the walking path by the point and the bay! The Airport shuttle was convenient. We wished that the restaurant/bar was open! There were some breakfast offerings, but they were premade and all breakfast sandwiches included meat.

Everything price location features overall it was a 10/10 How far the entry door was from the elevators and the walk to the room. I was tired drove from Folsom Ca. To Stockton Ca and then to San Francisco. I will still give it a 10/10 overall.

Room was dirty, towels were stained and so were the bedsheets. When I called for them to come and replace the sheets, all they did was just make the bed again instead of them replacing the sheets with clean ones. The TV was also not working and took them a while to come fix it. Also, whoever took my call before to ask about early check in was rude.

This is the second Sonesta property I've stayed at together with my dog. If you are a pet owner, and you need a hotel that accommodates your fur baby with no muss or fuss at a reasonable price, then Sonesta properties should be your go-to.

Relaxing stay, short drive from the city. Weekends are very quiet in this part of town. Hotel is nestled in a between multiple office buildings. Yet nice walk around to the marina, and easy access to the city and airport. The hotel was clean, service excellent, rooms clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

I had to switch rooms three times! My reservation was a room with a king size bed and a sofa bed, the first room assigned don’t have the sofa bed, the second room they assigned me the sofa bed didn’t open so they were understaffed and they switched me for the third time to a room with two queen size beds.

This is definitely my must go to hotel!! Always taken considerate of my needs and so friendly and kind, love the attention I get from all staff!

Clean, in general, with a beautiful view of the bay! Unfortunately, there was not a/c as advertised, an our room fan didn't work, either. It was a beautiful spring day, so it was hot in the room for sleeping. The bed was also very soft, which was not conducive for my needs, but for those that like a soft bed, it's for you! We didn't raise these issues to the staff, so I'm not sure if there would have been an alternative room with better accommodations, but it was late by the time we realized it and we had an early checkout, so we dealt with it. Convenient to the airport, and a balcony was a plus on a beautiful day!

As a frequent visitor, the room was not the best as the AC unit smelt like mold and mildew and the bathroom had mold on the shower curtain and rust in the bathtub. Hoping that the next visit I can request for a room change if the issue arises again.

Lobby coffee didn't open up until hours after I normally am looking for coffee, so I had to drive to find coffee. Room coffee way below expectation for a business type hotel. I selected a high level suite, but the built in cabinets and countertops in particular seems leftover from about 20 years ago. So, I call this is mixed bag. Self-parking was easy.

I don't feel like my room was very clean... specifically linens. Your website says there is an onsite restaurant and bar, however, once checking in was informed of a management change and it only served breakfast. Not even breakfast prepared for you...premade breakfast sandwiches. Was told by one staff member that they wouldn't sell wine/beer bc they "didn't want to babysit the guests". Luckily AC was next door to serve warm meals for those that were stuck in the bay area. The gym, although ok equipment, was broken up into 2 very small separate rooms. No towels, waters or cleaning supplies were available. Shuttle service to airport was prompt and driver was nice.

Plus is the walking trail that goes around Oyster Point, located at back of hotel and is a beautifully landscaped walk! Wifi worked well, and grab and go in hotel, eating places 5-7 min walk from hotel. Very affordable, highly recommend!

This is my second time staying here and overall a great visit. The front desk is always friendly. The hotel smells clean and the room is always pristine. This time I ordered DoorDash and the process to get my food was quick and easy. Will definitely be booking again when I am in SF.

Lovely updated hotel. Exterior is older, but the inside is remodeled. Location is close proximity to San Francisco and shopping/dining areas. If you enjoy walking by the water, there’s a walking path right behind the hotel. Would stay here again!

Room was spacious and clean. Quick check in and out. Would stay again based on value, location and cleanliness. They have a microwave in the lobby and they are next to other hotels you can walk to if you wanted to dine at a restaurant. Easy to park as well at a safe area .

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Parking was very easy with ample parking sports available during our 3 night stay. I found the cleaning was decen. The room was small and basic but commensurate for the cost and type of hotel. The bed we found to be uncomfortable.

Nice large room with sofa. Everything was spotless as the hotel was recently remodeled. No dinner service but the Marriott AC, just across the parking lot, has a lovely menu and a great bar. Convenient to the airport with free shuttle service. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Check in was a little frustrating as I had to wait several minutes (approx 5-7 minutes) while the clerk was on the phone helping another customer. He finally put the customer on hold and checked me in.

Overall the stay was pleasant! The only issue I had was the tub was so slow at draining. I know that the hotel recently gone under renovations, but why they didn’t went ahead and upgraded the tub to a standing shower.

This property is conveniently located close to the Cow Palace where we were seeing a concert. The airport shuttle was easy to find and came quickly. The front desk staff were wonderful and welcoming. Our room was amazing! Clean, comfortable and with a beautiful water view from the balcony. The bed was comfortable. Being close to the airport gave us more time to relax instead of spending our last morning just getting to the airport. All- around, this was a great place to stay!

On our two-week trip, this was one of our favorite hotels we stayed in. The room was incredibly clean and the staff was very friendly and kind. When we had a minor issue with our a/c unit, they had the technician come to our room within just a few minutes. Would definitely stay here again.

I needed quiet and comfort and that's exactly what I got, in addition to safety, walking trails, walkable dining, and a lovely view. HIGHLY recommend!

My husband and I stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. Staff who checked me in was friendly and welcoming to my 2 dogs. Our room was a waterfront view and it was amazing waking up to it everyday that we were there. Staff was accommodating, breakfast is accessible, a lot of parking available within the vicinity, and they are dog-friendly! The room is spacious, had adequate lighting at night, and water pressure in the shower was grdate! Bonus points on the Bluetooth, Netflix, Youtube, and Pandora apps on the TV! The hallways were clean and smelled good, and I barely heard the train passing by from our room. Sonesta will now be our go-to hotel whenever we’re visiting the Bay Area.

Super nice young lady at check in made us feel welcome. Area feels safe with lots of lighting in the parkinglot. Noticed there is a very regular shuttle schedule for the airport, too. Property is maintained and room was clean.

I stayed at this hotel as it said there was a bar/ lounge. There was not! Very disappointed. I was hoping just to stay in my room. I had to find a restaurant down the road.

Pleasant property. Not very convenient for late arrival. Front desk left me on hold on the phone for over 15 minutes, if they ever picked up. Ended up taking an Uber to get there for $52. Shuttle in the morning was fine.

After reporting the issue to hotels.com, they told me they also could not issue a refund because they couldn't reach the hotel manager for "approval". When I contacted the hotel directly, they said they would "pass along" the message to the manager but couldn't give me an idea of when I would hear back. They then hung up when I was in the middle of asking a follow up question. This was a horrible experience that culminated in me checking out of the hotel at 2 am and having to find another place to stay. Now I have to deal with the charge and lack of response around a refund. This is definitely the last time I'll be staying at a Sonesta.

This is a nice hotel that isn’t too far from the SFO airport. We enjoyed the beds by getting a restful night of sleep. The hotel was very clean. We were only there to get some rest before a late morning flight. The one drawback is the airport shuttle situation. The shuttle is on a constant loop between the 4 terminals at the airport and 2 hotels. One loop takes the driver 50 minutes. If you happen to just miss a shuttle you will wait another 50 minutes for it to come back around. Adding 1 more shuttle to their fleet would help tremendously. There are other hotels with shuttle services that arrived every 10 minutes like clockwork. If you want a more convenient shuttle service you might want to research some of the other hotels that offer the service. It’s not the drivers fault. The 2 that we had were very nice and understood. Just keep in mind that paying a little higher rate could get you a lot more convenience.

Poor checkin experience. Under staffed at a busy part of the day. They changed their shuttle service so people with 6 am flights could not use the service. Look at the airport customer levels and it obvious the having an earlier service makes sense. Beds were good and hotel was clean.

The property is older but in good shape. I thought I read they had a restaurant on site but it was a Starbucks one man coffee bar with some pastries . The staff was super nice and accommodating. All in All, a solid three stars.

It was quiet and safe. There's lots of parking. I found a few hairs in the bathtub, though. This is in a business district, so the few food options are open during standard business hours, not in the evening nor on weekends.

For people not used to using a hotel airport shuttle, it would have saved time and less confusion if the receptionist at Sonesta Select Hotel provided specific directions as to where the shuttle picks up the hotel guests from the airport. We wasted 2 hours because of this. The coffee machine does not work and there are no face cloths provided. Two good things about this stay, we were allowed an early check- in request without extra fees and the return airport shuttle service was on schedule.

The hotel is top notch. Conveniently located and reasonably priced. I only wish it had a better breakfast option.

This hotel offers ample parking which is helpful. If you're just visiting on leisure, a car is somewhat necessary to get around the area. The water view room was excellent- had a small balcony you could enjoy and watch the harbor. You can hear the nearby airport with the planes taking off and landing. I did not mind then, at all, but if you like things to be completely quiet, I would not recommend staying by the airport.

The lady who checked us in told us she will switch our rooms at 12:30pm due to the amenities we paid for didn’t come with the room we initially got. Then Jason the Boss/Manager said he don’t know what I was talking about and said I need to hurry downstairs and leave our room till he has an alternate room to give us. He was giving us a very hard time with his attitude. He kept saying he is the “BOSS”. I never met any Manager in ALL the hotels I’ve been in all over the world who talks like Jason. He did not sound professional. He did not know how to handle the situation when his colleague made the mistake. He basically kicked us out when we requested to pay for an early check in. Just very bad experience. We been coming here for 10 years and not just me but my whole family. Whoever Jason’s boss is should check his employees and train them the correct hospitality. Know how to smile in the front and on the phone.
