We usually stay here when visiting family in the area because it’s conveniently located and consistently affordable. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and provide everything we need for a few nights. It’s a reliable option that works well for our visits. The property is fairly basic and could use some updates in certain areas, but overall it meets expectations for the price point.

I love that the staff is very polite & friendly. The place is very clean & I love that it is pet friendly. I would recommend this place to all friends, family and strangers who are looking for a convenient place to stay that is close to stores. Ross, Walmart, Marshall's and alot of other stores are just down the street, walking distance. I really enjoy this hotel.

Property was nice, staff were great. It’s a nice proximity of many stores. There are other hotels in the area but picked this one due to the affordable pricing. There’s no pool.

Absolutely nothing. The area is not very safe, the motel is very dirty, the room itself is uncomfortable, they have dirty bedsheets, no plugs by the desk, bathroom looked dirty. I booked it because I was in a rush and I checked out early just to get the hell out of there.

This Motel 6 in South Gate is smaller compared to others, maybe around 50 rooms, which I actually like because it feels like they’re able to take better care of the property instead of it being overcrowded. The rooms don’t have a microwave inside, but you can use one in the office if needed. They do have a fridge in the room, which is convenient. One thing I really like is that there’s no extra fee for dogs, which makes it very pet-friendly. Location-wise, it’s really convenient. There’s a Tierra Mia Coffee right next door, and just a short walk (about 10 minutes) you’ll find a shopping center with places like Panda Express, Chipotle, and The Habit, which makes it easy to grab food without driving. South Gate Park is also nearby, about a 25-minute walk, which is a big park really big! It has everything and nice to visit if you want some outdoor space and walk your pups around to sniff One thing to note is that there is a $100 deposit, which was new to me since other Motel 6 locations I’ve stayed at didn’t require a deposit. And The only issue I personally had was finding a cockroach in the room, which was disappointing.

Receptionist was very kind, welcoming, and courteous. The room was very clean. I did not see not one bug that’s always a plus. However, mattress was very hard , refrigerator didn’t work well and unfortunately, there’s no microwave. But I was able to get a lot of sleep during my one night stay to be able to go to my work assignment,so thank you very much.

The pillow case have some hair and the toilet all time running water and the toilet bowl a lot rusty inside,don't have iron in the room and morning the light from sun get in because the rooms don't have cortains to block light. Nope

The stay was great overall. The staff was friendly and welcoming, especially Maggie, who truly went above and beyond. She upgraded our room when no two-bed rooms were available and made sure we were taken care of. No complaints at all.

The room was spotless, staff was nice, i recommend a microwave on top of the fridge. And the parking was tight when I got back late at night. I had to park on the street and there was burnt holes in the covers. I definitely recommend to throw away any burnt holes covers. Overall. I really enjoyed the room and the location.

Room was very clean, air conditioning worked really well, and the staff who checked me in was really easy to understand and friendly.

There's just one thing that management should be aware of. The toilet. If the toilet handle is not flushed the right way, and the stop cap inside the tank is not plugged in right, the water continues to pour in, not overflowing the tank but the water keeps running. This could be a lot of water loss if not fixed. Because the water kept running it causes loud noise.

The room was ok. What stood out was the amazing staff that welcomed me. I rather pay more money to feel welcomed then have to stay at a location that's unprofessional and laughs at ones disabilities. I would definitely be back here to motel 6!

But The area right around the hotel isn’t the nicest/safest spot which isn’t their fault but as a single female I probably wouldn’t stay again. One time experience.

Called the front desk to see why room key wouldn’t work at pool area and employee gave me an attitude stating I could call company that is trying to fix key entry although others were able to enter. Rude staff during the day, night staff were wonderful.

Room was filthy. Floors in the room and bathroom were all sticky. Possible to even SEE the sticky footprints in the room. Room also VERY small and outdated. Hotel staff did not really care about the room being dirty when I told them. There were no outlets near the TV, so it wasn't even possible to bring a gaming console. The area being busy and ghetto is the LEAST of your worries. DO NOT STAY HERE. I usually stay with Travelodge but wanted to give Motel 6 a try. Safe to say I won't be choosing Motel 6 ever again

I am writing to express my significant disappointment regarding a recent stay at your establishment. As a returning guest who has previously enjoyed problem-free visits, my recent experience on was unfortunately very different. My girlfriend and I stayed for one night, only to discover upon waking the next morning that she had been bitten by bedbugs. I promptly informed the front desk, providing photographic evidence of the issue. Regrettably, the response was unsatisfactory, with no practical resolution offered, nor was a refund for the night's expense considered. This lack of action and apparent lack of concern is, in my opinion, highly unprofessional for a reputable establishment. Given this deeply unpleasant incident and the inadequate response, I genuinely doubt I will be staying here again.

The property was clean and extremely quiet and clean. The bathroom tub was a little slippery and could be a fall risk. The towels were horrible. They were extremely rough and too small.

The room did not have any shampoo, conditioner or even hand soap. It needed to be requested to the front office. The bed sheets did not look washed. Would not recommend staying at this motel 6.

The bed was in very poor condition and made noise every time I moved, which made it very difficult to get any rest. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable — you could feel the springs — and sleeping there was a terrible experience. The facilities, such as the bathroom and the air conditioning, were very old and in urgent need of maintenance. The only modern touch was the headboard, which had a USB port for charging devices, but aside from that, everything else was disappointing. bed cover and something on the bathroom was burned by cigarette.

It was okay. Nothing really to say except overall the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in close proximity to Walmart and other food places. Not the best location but overall decent, it’s worth a try.

New windows don’t keep the room quiet enough during the day. Traffic is just too close and loud sometimes. What is controllable is the toilet that ran all the time. Thankfully there is a door to close off that space. Vending machine for drinks only, doesn’t take digital payments, but there is an ATM right next to it. Coffee shop right next door is better than what’s here. Ify part of town, but I could walk my dog around without incident.

The staff had a room available for me but refused to check me in before 2:30pm, unless I paid an early check in fee that would double the cost of my room. When I objected to the extra charge and said I'd unhappily go wait for 2.5 hours someplace so I could check in for free, they cancelled my reservation with Expedia. Had I showed up at 3pm, they'd have taken a $200 deposit at a hotel without incidentals. If you're trying to save $, AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!

Day manager refuses to give us a extended stay. Claims my husband called her out of het name. My husband denies it. I apologized for the misunderstanding but she refuses to let us stay. Will not give me phone number to speak with her superior. She watched us move our stuff in and then told us we have to leave. Really upsetting the way she is treating us.

The location is inconvenient because there’s no turning straight into from the freeway. So you’d have to go to the next light, turn left then u turn, stop at light and turn into parking. Friendly staffs. Microwave in the lobby. Fridge in room. Small and tight parking lot. I couldn’t sleep because i woke to different sounds in the room. Running water pipes, noisy toilet, long beeping sound that is faint but constant. Couldn’t figure it out. Has grocery stores, food, restaurants around. Not the most glamorous spot. Homeless alley nearby and sometimes they walk around.

Well my stay here wasn't totally terrible but it definitely was far from great. The pictures online made it look nicer than it was. When I got to the room it looked clean. But as I sat there and looked around I noticed a few things that bothered me. The boxspring on the bed had some noticeable stains on it so lets just say that I slept on top of the bedspread and didn't bother to peel the sheets back.The room itself had strong unpleasant smell to it. I actually brought the smell back home with me on my clothes. And low and behold I saw 2 Roaches run across the floor not a good sign. I'm thankful that I only had to stay for one night. Would I recommend this place to stay ? I wouldn't but I guess it might be ok if you were only staying for one night and you couldn't find anywhere else to stay. Would I stay here again probably not. Lets just say you get what you pay for.

I called the hotel prior to booking my stay. I asked if they offered early check in because I needed the room in the morning. The employee I spoke to said Yes and that I should be there by 7am to check in and pay the additional fee. Once I got there I was told they had no availability and I would have to wait until 2:30pm. I didn’t end up using my room and I was not able to get my money back. This is honestly super disappointing. Employee's should learn how to explain things better. I will never be booking here again.
