Comfort Inn & Suites Ballpark Area

Was honestly reluctant to book this property after reading a few particularly low reviews. But for the price of the property, the closeness to Truist Park. We decided to book our six nights stay at the comfort Inn and suites Ballpark. I am very happy we did the hotel was exactly what expected mind you it wasn’t five star it might need a little bit of updating but for the price it was well worth. The breakfast was exactly what you expect for a continental breakfast. The room and amenities worked as expected. It was clean. It could be updated,sure but the hotel property was really good for what we wanted. It’s in walking distance from Truist Park, which we watched six games at and the staff were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this property if you’re looking to save some money on the hotel and spend it elsewhere on vacation it’s very close walking distance to a few fast food and other eating places. Target is a short walk away and very close to the highway getting back to airports. Glad I followed through with the booking of this hotel after having a few concerns of people’s reviews it is what you get for the money and this hotel is worth the money we paid. Saw a lot of people complain about the deposit return. We had ours a day after checkout with no issues at all.

Location is next to the highway The smell, how outdated and old it is, the outlets had holes big enough for mouse to fit through, some tvs had apps that didn’t allow you to connect and some tvs didn’t have apps at all only cable, when showering the water spilled into the entire floor also while using the sink. Overall terrible experience for $280

The room was definitely not what was advertised and mold dirty sheets ripped curtains even roaches crawling on wall and bugs crawling on bed I immediately had to leave after 1st night after changing rooms twice this was horrific and lady at front desk was very rude and manager as well I had a representative from orbitz call and he said the manager didn't want to give me a refund this is crazy fix your roach motel up stop advising falsely and you will get more people to visit as with me I literally booked at the wrong hotel I taught it was another location . Don't ever go there some of the reviews were very misleading as well so beware

Location was descent to Truist field. Dirty room. Stains on floor, couch, chair. Bathroom sink was clogged up. Couch bed mattress was old and uncomfortable, 0 pading. Curtains on the windows looked like someone cut them with a knife.

Everything is very run down and broken. All the vent and door are dirty and need to be cleaned. It smelt very wet and musty in the room. The staff was very friendly which is probably their saving grace.

This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Ever. Bodily fluids on funiture, elevator smelled like feces, my room clearly hadn’t been cleaned there was someone dirty towels and rags all over the bathroom. We booked three rooms for a nights sleep on way to Florida. My sister’s toilet was clogged - at check in no less. They handed her a plunger. One room had no towels. Breakfast was gross. Lobby bathroom doorknob was hanging off. Elevator was sketchy and lights were blinking. Hotel needs badly updated. Just absolutely disgusting.

It is VERY OLD hotel. If you decided to get this hotel because the indoor pool be aware that it is not heated so you will always have a cold pool. Breakfast was ok and the mattresses and pillows were comfortable. The elevator will jump for no reason when you get inside. It was not a horrible experience but it was not a good one either. They definitely need to invest some money in this place.

The breakfast was ok, but usually just walked to the Starbucks beside the hotel. Room was good. No complaints but they seemed stingy with the toilet paper.

On top of paying $85 for my hotel—plus the $40 the receptionist took from me—they are now going to deduct another $50. I consider this completely disrespectful and a total rip-off; I am calling my bank right now. This is absolutely unacceptable. A lot of broken things in the room and pool. Never any pool towels. My son sliced his foot open on a screw anchor at the pool area.

I did not like anything the hotel in general was nasty .... it looked to be primarily used as extended stay rental with people tht oiled there full time..... mold was thick in the air... it had bed bugs it was very bad The whole experience

Check-in staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was dirty, i.e. the TV remote was sticky and the couch and coffee table were dirty as well. Air conditioning worked but very noisy. Towels were full of holes and so thin you could see through them. Breakfast was no appealing at all so we went out for breakfast. Coffee was just okay.

Toilet wouldn’t flush properly, shower curtain rod was broken therefore shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed spraying water all over floor, bathroom floor was incredibly sticky, bed frame was sticking out mid-way and my daughter hit her ankle 2x. Breakfast food was limited or empty (before 9am) and a long wait for replenishment we had to leave. Garbage at breakfast was overflowing.

Great price for 2 rooms and a overnight stay. We were in Atlanta to watch two Braves ballgames. We loved that the hotel was close to Truist Park. The breakfast was great. The staff at check in was very friendly. The only thing I have to complain about was that the knob that turns the water on and off in the shower would not turn to hot. It would only turn halfway. So you basically had to take a cold shower. There was two lights above the sink that were out and the sink was slow on draining. We were not to happy with the shower situation.

Breakfast was ok , nothing special and nobody cleaned the tables we had the ling suite and there were sheets on the sofa bed that weren’t clean- the staff gave us new ones but they had no pillows available so my kid had to use a blanket in a pillow case which wasn’t ideal but better than nothing. My main gripe is that the indoor pool was 67 degrees. Why bother advertising an indoor pool if it’s too cold to use? Seems like false advertising to me. The hotel staff was police and helpful but not heating your indoor pool while advertising it as open is a big no no for me

My husband and I stayed for one night. The great thing is we were able to save about $67 on our room because of hotels.com a couple of negatives were that we had some lights that didn't work the bathroom fan didn't work some raw electrical edges on a light fixture two different light fixtures The room is a little dated But it was clean and pretty quiet and the staff was helpful so we gave it four stars. does it need to be updated and redecorated absolutely could use some more paint and light fixtures that work yes absolutely does the furniture absolutely need to go back to the '70s where it came from you got it but other than the fact that it's like a frozen a time capsule it was good it was a good stay We enjoyed ourselves very much.

The front desk staff was great and the room was clean. The internet wasn't great, the TV didn't work well (internet?), and the pool wasn't heated. I booked specifically for the indoor pool and then we couldn't use it because temps had been in the 30s and 40s and the water was too cold.

The guy at the front desk when I checked in was rude, I asked for first floor because I had my service dog (which is usually the main floor). He didn't have enough common sense to realize that when I said I wanted first floor because of the dog their hotel main floor was the second floor and he put me downstairs on the first floor. The toilet was running on and off all night, the windows looked like someone had broken in st one point, the locks on the door didn't work properly and could only use one of them. I will not stay at this property again.

The building needed updated, the breakfast was not that good. The window in the room was not sealed so had to put a shirt there to keep the wind out. Someone was smoking weed and had to put clothes under the door because it was getting into our room. Room was definitely not worth the price.

The curtains had stains on them and on the floors. I expected it to look way better the staff didn’t speak English

Staff were nice. The room however was horrible. The shower wall had black mold growing on it and had pink mildew. Paint was coming off the doors and front door did not completely stay secure. The bed sheets were dirty looked like they just made the bed up with oil looking stains on it. Above the air unit the paint was peeling off in a big sheet like there is a water leak there.

The toilet did not work. I had to turn the water on for it. There was no remote for the TV. A remote was provided, but failed to turn the set off. I had to get out of bed and unplug the TV. The door security latch was broken. I will not even mention the offer the staff member made to me. I could not get up early enough to flee this site.

I’m not from this area so I really didn’t know. I’m a traveling nurse and I really wanted relaxation and didn’t really have that. The room was not as I thought it would be with LOTS of her in the sink, white slimy fluids on the sink, a toilet that didn’t flush properly, bedroom curtains can’t be closed all the way for privacy because it’s thumb tacked to the walls. Management was so nice she’s amazing however the room was not up acceptable at all. The manager came and personally cleaned the bathroom while I was present. I came back the next day from my clients to be told that they do housekeeping every third day. I will NEVER return again but management was extremely professional and nice.

Everything was bad, from walking into the building to getting our room to changing the room. Hallways smelled like smoke and weed. Asked to change rooms because we couldn’t get into another hotel. New room did not smell like smoke but it was not nice. Bathroom had other guest Hair on sinks towels looked used. So we purchased our own. Breakfast was the icing on the cake when nothing was stocked you would be lucky if you had toast and a waffle. They also had employees sitting eating having full blown inappropriate conversation on speaker. Which was mind boggling. I get it I should have read the reviews better or left right away and got a fund. But we asked who was available in that location. Worst hotel I’ve ever been too.

The room was ok except for the torn curtains in the window and then we pulled the covers back to get I. The bed and noticed the sheets weren’t changed make up was on the pillow case and hair was all In the bed, when we asked for another room they tried to charge us a extra fee, we ended up leaving at 12 midnight because they we were not sleeping on Dirty sheets!! Horrible hotel. I do not recommend and would give zero stars if I could! Wish I could show the pics on here so everyone could see it!!!!

The staff was friendly but the room was not like what was pictured at all. When you first walked into the room the carpet in front of the bathroom had been cut up and placed back down and was fraying a lot. The dresser under the tv was missing a giant chunk of fake veneer-plastic on a lower drawer. One of the curtains was torn half off the wall-likely from someone not knowing the blackout curtains were behind the sheer ones. The popcorn ceiling was peeling in one spot, a pretty big crack. The bathroom had several stains and standing water was in the bathtub, the edges of the tub needed cleaning attention. When doing the normal “check for bugs” we found candy wrappers behind the bed and the pillows had visible stains on them-blood? The whole hotel smelled like moth balls or super cleaner, something. It was very strong and not really pleasant. I am very surprised others gave this a 10/10, I’d love to know what room they stayed in because it was not this room. I was overall very surprised by the poor conditions of this hotel and the lack of upkeep as all these things wouldn’t have “just happened” also it needs to be said I noticed as we were leaving that the elevator was last inspected November 2023. We were traveling as a family with two young children and chose not to stay and booked another hotel nearby that met our expectations as it wasn’t deceptive in pictures and descriptions.

Room smelled damp. Turned off A/C in hopes of decreasing smell. Put bags down & left to grab food nearby. Returned to room sat down to eat, decided to close the curtains since I was on ground level. Noticed there were spots of black mold on them. Decided to check other places for mold. Found some on both lamps in the room. Went to the front desk to inform of mold in room. Desk agent said she would contact me when a room became available. Not all rooms had been cleaned just yet due to number of guests. Mind you I checked in after 4pm. Went back to room for about 20 mins. Decided to take my bags back to car, needed to leave soon to get to a concert I drove from NC for. Didn't want to leave bags in room expecting a room change. I stopped by the front desk again for any room updates. Asked bc I saw that housekeepers I had seen on the way to the room were leaving for the evening. The front desk agent asked if the maintenance man had come to spray anything in the room to which I answered no. Told front desk agent I needed to leave soon to get to my concert. Was asked what time I would be back, informed her appx after 11pm. To which I asked would I have a room, agent said the same as before. It was already after 5pm at this point. I asked for a refund since there was no guarantee of a new room and the agent didn't seem concerned. Ended up having to change my clothes for the concert in the car and driving back to NC after the concert because other hotels were booked up and pricey.

Clean room but the hotel is very old. AC did not blow very cold. There is a Waffle House next door. Hotel staff were very kind and accomodating.

Everything we experienced was great, we chose not to swim because the pool just looked stagnant and not so inviting, but the pool area was nice looking. Maybe if there were jets going in the pool so it was moving the water around it would've appeared better to us. It wasn't a big deal to us though to not swim. Great hotel and clean, very comfy beds, shower felt great.

Close enough to the ballpark to walk. Getting into the property from the main road can be tricky depending on the time of the day. A little bit of character activity in the surrounding areas.

First room we received the A/C unit was messed up. Then we moved to another room and the TV didn’t work, although we didn’t need it for this trip it was still out, then upon looking there were multiple stains on the side of the bed and the hairdryer didn’t work as well. The pool was very small and the temp was super cold.

I enjoyed my stay

We stayed to watch Braves baseball. Very nice accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, comfy room and beds. Very safe area, well lit and lots of restaurants and shopping near by. Close to the Battery neighbourhood and the ball diamond. Lots of parking. Only issue was we were a bit confused about how to get hot water in shower. I phoned the front desk and they explained how to get hot water. Suggestion might be to have a note in bathroom explaining how taps work. Other than that very satisfied.

The staff was very accommodating. I was staying there because I was having a outpatient surgery and stayed almost an hour away from where I was having my procedure and it is convenient by the interstate and lots of food places around.

They would not allow my family to stay because there was an extra TWO YEAR OLD TODDLER that I didn't account for. The kids are small and could have fit in the QUEEN size bed. The manager said he'd refund my account WHEN EXPEDIA contacted them back. Once Expedia got the correct number, the night person told 2 different Expedia gentleman that she was busy checking people in and to call back in 20 minutes. I called back on the third time and she told me that she couldn't refund me because she had already done her audit for the night and to call the next day. So, once again Expedia called and could not get through. I'd gladly take this off if I could get my refund back like I was promised!

The front desk staff was lovely. Delicious cookie on arrival. Property was in need of some serious upgrades. For the price we paid and our needs it did the trick.

We had to change our room twice due to black mold in the first one then the ac didn’t work in the second one. The third room was ok but we decided just to be ok with it since it was midnight and we were ready to go to bed but we were looking for other hotels in the area.

Ice machine was loud and could be heard all night long. Staff was constantly away from the front desk, had to wait several minutes for checkout when I needed to be gone. As a safety issue, the area is full of homeless people so don’t venture out at night, especially alone. Access the the property is confusing, difficult to navigate right next to the I75 interchange.

But, the bed was comfy, the water was hot and we were a walking distance from the Truist Stadium. So all in all it was ok.

I was in town for a couple MLB games and wanted a hotel within walking distance! This location was perfect. Never once felt unsafe at night. Close to shopping, food, etc! Room was clean and comfortable! Would definitely stay here again!

Very dirty hotel that smells horribly. Curtains were ripped and unable to close by being cut in half with scissors. Sheets had blood stains on them so we had to request them to be changed. Room had not been cleaned prior to us getting there as there was trash and hair on the carpet that should have been cleaned by a vacuum if it would have been used.

Staff was very friendly. Room was small but comfortable. The toilet leaked water all over the bathroom. I told clerk and maintenance came said he fixed but it leaked all over during the night. It wasn't bad but could use some upkeep.

The breakfast was above average. Very helpful staff. Decent enough rooms. Our toilet needed Matinence so we got moved to a new room, so a little inconvenient, but we understood. When the guy came and fixed the toilet we weren't in the room and never got a heads up that someone will be in your room without you there. So that was a little odd walking into your room with someone in it. The hotel smelled like weed 50% of the time.

Room had a molded smell, had to reclean the room. Front pull out bed nasty and dirty. They don’t clean the room until check out.

The AC doesn’t work in the rooms and ask them to fix and they tefused

This was worse than any property My wife, child, and I have ever stayed out, the room was DISGUSTING!! The blinds had some kind of substance all over them, the carpet in the floor was 20 years past cleaning, the manager and her front counter man were an absolute joke. To top it off the A/C was broke they knew it was broke and put us in the room anyway, when we got back that night it was 76 degrees in our room and when I spoke to the man up front to let him know we have a baby that can not sleep in a hot room all I got was we have no rooms what else would you like me to do.

The room at lights shining in the room the curtains were see through the bedding was dirty so we had a very thing blanket from the front desk the door didn’t shut all the way the elevator was 2 years past inspection

My stay was good; the staff was very good. They were attentive to my concerns and handled them promptly.

Our second room had shower issues. The head flopped down and would. It stay up and the water barely got luke warm, never hot. Toilet took 2 flushes. On a positive the front desk people were amazingly friendly. We were only there for one night so we made it all work without complaining. Will not pick this location again unless remodeled.

Room had furniture that was in poor condition. Drapes were ripped and the bed had weird substances that hadn’t been cleaned properly.

The air-conditioning in the rooms really works! So if you like sleeping in an igloo, this place has got you! They also have free breakfast and an indoor pool!

The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling. The floors were dirty. My shoes stuck to the carpet. The linens had stains on them. The plug outlets were broken.

We arrive at 5:30pm, check in is at 4:00. Our room wasn't ready yet. We understood being busy the night before and the front desk lady (didn't get her name) she was very sweet and made sure we all had snacks and drinks while we waited. Once we were able to get into our room the room was clean but based on the pictures it looked big enough for a family of 7 but was in fact really small so had to purchase a 2nd room the beds were okay.

Convenient to Truist Park. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable.

They over booked then decided to charge at check-in time when there is a pay upon arrival option. They canceled our reservation because i didnt let their system charge me before we got there. (During our 3hr+ drive)

For the price i was surprised how nice this hotel was. It was almost better than thr doubletree in the same area. The only difference was the size of the room. And this hotel disnt charge for breakfast. Would stay here again.

The location is good, bunch of fast food joints near by. The rooms are spacious, but some of the things in the room don't work properly. (The bedroom light didn't light up when the switch was flipped and the inside lock to the door didn't work properly as well, although those little quirks didn't ruin our two night stay)

Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was older and in need off some refurbishments, but was clean. Biggest drawback was the water temperature in the shower, no hot or even warm water.

it was a good experience over all the only setback was the light by the bed did not work so I could not read in bed after getting back from the ball game. the breakfast was very good. if I ever go to truist park again I would probably stay here again

Very disappointed that the pool was unusable the entire visit. Before i checked in, i asked and was told it was fine. We checked in, got ready to swim, closed for maintenance. Once the maintenance was done, we were told the heater had been turned on. 5 different times we got 2 kids ready to swim to discover the pool couldnt be used.

I got in on May 12..2025,the front desk attendant he did a excellent job getting me book In..I was also celebrating my girlfriend birthday,I had one issue with my stay was the air conditioner it wasn't blowing cold air I call to the front desk and the maintenance came up to the room.and took care of it,. He was very attentive to your needs..We had the breakfast at the hotel.I will b coming back soon house keeper was awesome all come to your room with a big smile.I love That

With thoughts of encouraging kindness and thoughtfulness in communication, I do not normally leave criticizing reviews. But with this property being so close to the Braves Ballpark (Truist Park), I'm going to provide one. With the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, the Head housekeeper knocked on the door at around 9:15 am, 45 mins. later, I indicated to her that the room was available to them, I was told we get it tomorrow. On the final day of my visit, with Do Not Disturb on and deadbolt locked, she attempted to enter the room without knocking (9:30 am time frame). Yes, we want clean rooms but give us time to get up and out after late night games.

Woke up this morning(2 days after check out) to see a card that was never on file was charged $100. Not sure what for, a call to explain a need to charge would have been helpful. We did absolutely nothing to the room but sleep. As soon as we checked in @3:30pm we left the room and didnt return until 2am. Went straight to sleep and woke at 10am. We left an hour later

Location was perfect for baseball stadium. The pool is tiny.. bathroom shower faucet in our room leaked. Breakfast was decent, if you got there early.

Breakfast was so so, hot water was sparse warm at best if you were lucky.

Walked in to a freezing cold room. No luggage rack. Used the rickety ironing board. The window was moldy and the screen was ripped. Couldn't open it anyway. There was a back door that didn't lock, we finally discovered a small clip that locked it,but we couldn't unlock that once it was done. Huge stain on carpet. Toilet seat was misshapen and crooked. Refrigerator seal was loose, door wouldn't shut. Husband fixed it. How this place got an 8.4 ranking is a mystery! Bed was comfortable!

The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of options, and everything was fresh and well-stocked. I also appreciated how quiet and peaceful the hotel was during my stay. It felt safe, well-maintained, and conveniently located near restaurants and stores. I’d definitely recommend this Comfort Inn to anyone visiting the Smyrna area. Great value, friendly service, and a comfortable place to rest!

Walking distance to Truist Park. Cheaper rates than majority of area. Just okay with conditions, could have been better. Room door didn't feel secure, wiggles at least an inch, even when locked. Sketchy people in parking lot at night, but nothing out of ordinary for that area.

The first room I was given was dirty and had no air so I was moved to another room that had dried puke on the bed, couch and curtains. Then moved to another room that had dried food on the chair and hair on the bed, the last room was not great and had no curtains to block the light so we got no sleep and I was not able to get my money back because of Expedia… the hotel was willing to refund me
